Lando being an emotional and honest person is one of my fav things about him. Him immediately saying he'll miss racing carlos and being on the podium with him instead of joking and denying it, then going on a 2 minutes speech of how he knows carlos and knows what he's capable of is very sweet :( he never hides his vulnerability even if people use that as an excuse to hate on him and I appreciate it so much. We need more people like him in the world and especially in this sport

yeah he's a very compelling personality to have on the grid and he's offered so much of himself up to his fans over the years it's hard not to feel like you know and understand him and want to see him succeed idk i wish the media would stop clipping out phrases from his little rambling replies where he doesn't always articulate his point as clearly and directly as he means to, unless he's got some pr phrasing to fall back on, but he really doesn't reach for the pr often. he tends to just run his mouth, and i love that because if you listen to him you see that he's actually quite kind and generous in everything except when the helmet is on, you know? he cares so deeply about everything, especially his friends. over the years he's had to pull more and more of his private self back, just due to the weight of scrutiny, but his candor, vulnerability, and sense of humor has never left and i hope it never leaves.
