i was wondering if you were willing to expand on more characters and why they aren’t good judges of characters. i totally agree with leona being ss tier, i just wanna see you articulate more characters if possible!!

You listed a lot of characters so I’ll do a rapid-fire round and try to avoid dragging this response out for super long 🙂‍↕️ In your order:

Ruggie — He pays attention to people only in so far as to see when it the best time to swoop in and ask them for stuff (unfinished foods, donatable items, etc.) or to offer his services (for a fee). I don’t think he cares to look beyond that and seek a person’s hidden character. What comes first and foremost is his own survival, which is very focused on… himself, rather than how he reads other people and their character. It simply does not matter so long as Ruggie has his needs met.

Trey — Briefly covered in the tags of my previous post. He tries his best to keep out of conflicts, but this also means he must observe a lot and knows how to keep a distance. Trey notices some things that others don’t (like how Cater doesn’t like sweets in book 1 or how Vil is tired in his Labwear vignettes), but I wouldn’t call these instances evidence of Trey being a good judge of character. The Cater thing is something Trey picked up on from always seeing Cater go for savory foods or suggesting things to cover up sweet tastes. Noticing Vil being tired feels like a skill Trey may have learned from acting like a caretaker, especially with his younger siblings and dorm members. When Trey does try to discern people’s characters, it seems to fall flat because he takes them at face value and assumes goodness on their part. For example, he mistakes Jade as someone meek and being taken advantage of in Jade’s Ceremonial Robes vignettes.

Ortho — I think Ortho would theoretically be a good judge of character, but it is complicated by him relying on drawing conclusions from algorithms and data sets he is fed. It’s true that Ortho acts more human than a typical android, but he learned how to act this way by watching movies, which are mostly inaccurate depictions of real life. I feel this would “poison” his data and lead to him processing cues incorrectly. He can accurately tell the time and read your vitals because those are objective facts and numbers—but gauging human character is much less concrete. Maybe Ortho can fine-tune his skills by observing more humans irl (especially considering his advanced learning capabilities), but right now I think he’d still be working on it.

Floyd — I think judging people’s character comes more naturally to Floyd than to Jade (as there is a recurring theme of Floyd being a genius while Jade has to put in effort to be competent). Like many things though, his proficiency shifts with his mood. I don’t see Floyd as being super observant in spite of this, as his track record is kinda spotty. He also didn’t seem to sense something was “up” with Jamil despite arguably spending a lot more time with him in the same club. However, Floyd was able to tell that “cute” doesn’t suit Epel and picked an appropriate birthday gift for him to match Epel’s preferred vibes. (This is in spite of Epel being forced to appear dainty and cute by Vil.)

Malleus — Malleus notoriously had difficulties understanding others, albeit this is definitely influenced by his sheltered upbringing. He missed Rollo’s weird vibes (too blinded by the thought of genuinely being invited to an event) and even describes himself as “[being] no good at divining humans’ minds”. This could be considered a cultural misalignment rather than him being a poor judge of character, but considering how he frequently uses on his own (very limited) POV as reference (which is what led to Endless Halloween Night and misunderstands with his fellow dorm leaders at meetings), this still puts Malleus in a situation where he cannot read others well because HE also doesn’t project his own emotions or true character very openly; he always has to maintain a certain air about him as a future king.

Cater — He’s great at reading the room and using social standing to get what he wants. For example, Cater knows his underclassmen will defer to seniority so he tricks Adeuce into helping him do his chores. He is also shown intervening multiple different times when the situation gets heated to get everyone to cool their heads. This means Cater is socially savvy and intuitive rather than a good judge of character. Because Cater spends so much time online and intentionally holding people at a distance, I don’t think he bothers to look deeper into them than what’s presented on the surface. For example, he’s always clout chasing (seeking pics with important and notable peers) but doesn’t make an effort to really see or judge people on a deeper level.

Yuu — Ehhhhh 🤷‍♀️ Yuu is a blank slate character for players for project themselves or sonas/OCs onto. How good or bad they are at judging others is defined by the individual. Instances like Yuu being friendly with Malleus aren’t so much of them seeing the goodness in him as it is Yuu being oblivious about who he is. We don’t really get any comments from Yuu that have insight into their peers’ characters either, only surface-level remarks and observations along the lines of, “oh, they’re being kind of rude again” or “wooow, he’s being nice for once?”. Twst leaves Yuu vague so you can fill in the gaps using your own imagination.

Yui Komori x Vice Housewardens

Trey Clover

First things first, Trey and Yui definitely act like they're already a married couple to all of Heartslabyul. Not only are they both super sweet with the new students and have almost infinite patience, but they're probably some of the few people on campus with three functioning brain cells. It's normal at this point to see them together constantly, not even talking or doing student things, but doing things like helping with laundry, cleaning the commons, and most importantly, BAKING TOGETHER.

Trey is genuinely grateful for Yui's arrival not only at school, but in his life, as it lightens a lot of the mental load of being everyone's go-to person. They both know what it feels like (to be emotionally fatigued) and support each other in that regard. This also applies in reverse; Trey gives subtle signs of support to Yui if she needs it, such as giving her her favorite candy, offering to do chores, or telling the first-years to let her rest (they're literally the class's mom and dad).

Trey is super understanding of Yui's trauma, especially when she's having a really bad episode. His favorite way to help her through these moments, besides cooking something delicious, is usually to talk to her during the process, whether it's about fun moments they had during the day to distract her, let Yui vent, etc. He's not really a fan of violence, but he makes Yui feel at home.

Ruggie Bucchi

Look, I know Ruggie isn't a vice-housewarden, but the poor guy does most of the work of one AND MORE, so I'll include him. Because aside from his dynamic with Yui being so funny because of how confusing it would be, no one knows how someone like Ruggie could have dated someone like YUI. It's like a Jessica Rabbit and Roger Rabbit dynamic, in a way.

I can definitely see Ruggie being either the reason Yui got scammed a couple of times or the one who prevented Yui from getting scammed a million times in TWST, there's no in-between. Part of him wants to laugh, but another part thinks it's pathetic and so naive of Yui to be so trusting that he has to make sure she doesn't fall into the wrong hands. This creates this strange "only I can take advantage of her kindness" dynamic, but eventually it turns into something quite genuine.

Ironically, I think it's more likely that Yui gets a little annoyed that Leona is constantly bossing Ruggie around and wants to go and have a quiet talk with him. Ruggie doesn't know whether to be worried about himself, Leona, or Yui; let's just say his neurons go off when Yui pets him.

Jade Leech

Phew, it's complicated with Jade. It was probably difficult for Yui to even be around him at first because of the sharp teeth and PTSD (adding Jade's disturbing aura didn't help much). It would take them a STUPID amount of time to have a normal conversation without Yui shaking like jelly (Jade can't decide whether to find this adorable, worrisome, or charming, or all of these at the same time).

When they do eventually manage to have normal interactions, though, Yui is much more relaxed around Jade (and the whole OctaTrio in general). I like to imagine Yui asking Jade quite a few questions about possible recipes (the first-years shudder at the thought), even going mushroom picking together! (Because the last time Yui picked one alone, it ended up being the inedible kind, she learned her lesson.)

Jade is the silently protective type, the kind where Yui doesn't really notice when she's in danger in the first place—she could be walking right next to him (probably chatting about Grim's latest faux pas that week), and as soon as Jade senses any kind of presence with ill intentions toward Yui, she just has to give THAT smile we all know. Without fail, every time.

Jamil Viper

OH MY GOD, JAMIL, part of him thought Yui was going to be a female version of Kalim because of how people talked about her, but thankfully he was wrong. Yui used to help out at her father's church, so ironically, she feels more comfortable helping Jamil prepare food than actually attending the parties. Overall, Yui ends up showing a level of interest in Jamil's physical and mental well-being that Jamil himself isn't used to, which leaves him on guard, but interested at the same time.

Considering Yui has anemia due to the events of DL, I think a pretty common date between these two is finding recipes to make together. Yui is good at baking, not so much cooking. Jamil is good at cooking, not so much baking (I get the vibe that Jamil is the kind of partner who will nag you like a mother hen, or apologize with food instead of words).

Jamil has almost died once in his life, and while it didn't really affect him in his current life, he's definitely surprised by Yui's mental resilience, having survived SO MUCH in such a short amount of time AND STILL being so...kind. Not holding any resentments and being able to live happily. It would be admirable if it weren't for the fact that now he knows that Yui didn't deserve what happened at all.

Rook Hunt

Rook, our favorite Stalker, similarly to Vil, takes an almost immediate interest in Yui thanks to her striking and delicate appearance, but Rook's interest is much more innocent and in the realm of romance. Yui is arguably the only person in NRC who doesn't find Rook weird (after the freaks she's seen, Rook seems like an angel). Besides, he acts like a genuine gentleman to her, opening doors, giving her shelter when it's cold, and lending her his hat when it's too hot. Yui thinks Rook is a sweetheart!

They would definitely make a super sweet couple, although Yui definitely wasn't used to receiving so much affection in such a crude, genuine way, given how much Rook flatters Yui, both for her physical beauty and for her personality and kindness, giving her cute nicknames in French, etc. Yui's no slouch, don't get me wrong. I feel like Yui likes to talk about Rook like he's her "knight in shining armor" (let's just say Rook did end up passing on some of his liking on poetry onto her).

Let's be honest, Rook probably knows all about Yui's past without her even telling him, but that doesn't mean he's any less effective at 1- comforting Yui and assuring her that everything will be okay, and 2- protecting her from potential future threats! Rook definitely doesn't know what kind of animals hurt his dear lady so badly, but he'll happily bring them back as trophies if it makes her feel safer and happier.

Lilia Vanrouge

Awww, Lilia thinks Yui is the cutest girl ever! Too bad the first few times they interacted, Yui was too scared of him to make any kind of real connection (let's just say Lilia reminded her of certain people). Similarly to the Diasomnia students, Lilia randomly appears near Yui and occasionally scares her, but he's pleasantly surprised when Yui, instead of being scared, starts greeting him and starting a conversation!

Yui learned the hard way to never let Lilia near the kitchen, ever, but at least she had a good time cooking (or trying to) with Lilia, whether it was sharing anecdotes about Yui's time with her father, her world, some minor experiences in TWST, etc. Let's just say that Lilia reminds Yui of a "younger" and livelier version of her father.

Because of this, it's not surprising that Lilia starts treating Yui like the rest of the Diasomnia quartet, encouraging her to join clubs with him and Silver, and taking her to her room when she stays up talking to Malleus—it's really no bother! She's family now, after all.

Just some baby ideas that I (hopefully) will (eventually) draw!

Riddle as a little baby and kid was in and out of the hospital. I feel he was a premie baby, and really struggled for a few years. He’s obviously better now, but a lot of his younger years were spent in hospitals and sickly.

Trey working the counter, and younger Crewel buying something, and just fawning over the cute baby! And Trey being like “can I takes you order!” And “fank you!” As he waves at Crewel with his arms FULL of baked goods! He bought them out, just so he could stay with the baby longer!

Cater playing with a camera, I bet he LOVED being his sisters camera man much more than their dress up doll. He liked pictures cause he can go through them and remember stuff!

Deuce just being a mama’s boy. Helping carry anything and everything, though the grocery bag drags on the ground, trying to cook and burning the eggs, picking flowers for her.

Ace just following his brother like a duckling, copying whatever his big brother does! (Silver doing this with Lilia too!)

Leona also having a nice relationship with his brother, but his brother is probably a little overbearing as many kids can be. Leona is such a cat he needs his space sometimes, but Falena just loves his baby bro so much!

Ruggie helping granny with laundry, and cleaning. Also crying cause he ate all the food, and it’s gone, he knows he ate it, but he wanted more! Oh! Ruggie was probably a messy eater, sprinkles and frosting everywhere!

Jack doggy paddling, Jack chasing his tail, Jack playing with squeaky toys, just Jack being a little puppy!

Azul helping cook, and run the restaurant! I like the idea that he would make pretend food and feed the customers the “special” he cooked up! Showing people to their tables, and helping taste test food! As well as his first Father’s Day present for his step dad!

Jade And Floyd just being brothers, fighting, stealing, arguing, but also just having so much fun together. Being silly and having fun.

Kalim chewing shiny jewelry, and just being a silly baby. I also like the idea he would run through the fountain with his nice party clothes, right before the party!

Jamil probably adored having his hair done by his mama, and would try to do his sisters hair, but as a baby she had short hair and he couldn’t do much. Put bows all over her! I also be as a little little kid he was allowed to shine, and liked showing off to his sister.

Vil just being a cutie! He’s adorable no matter what he does! He probably wasn’t a big model as a kid, and his dad tried to protect him, but man! Holidays are fun, and he does share his holiday pictures with Vil. Not to mention Vil’s Halloween MEGA photo shoot, cause his dad is a Halloween lover!

Rook being in his outdoorsy family, learning to fish, and track, helping garden. I have a headcannon that as a toddler, and he was mad, he would go eat the mint plant (his mother’s favorite) as like a gotcha! He always felt bad and would help heal it, but three year olds don’t think far ahead.

Epel helping Granny in the kitchen, covered in flour, carefully carrying the eggs! I also bet he was a big helper with picking the apples! On his dad’s shoulders, reaching as high as he can for the shiniest apples!

Silver and Lilia! Omg! So many ideas! I love the idea of Lilia struggling with baby Silver, as a new parent, exhausted from baby cries, panicking over every little thing, ect! Lilia also crying and having to be comforted by Silver on Silver’s first day of school.

Sebek with his little crocodile tail, and teething! I bet his home has a lot of teething damages on chairs and table legs. Bet he had a favorite blankie too! Oh! And him and Silver being friends!

MC: When in fact, he sleeps like a corpse. You would have to kick him to check if he was even breathing.

Jamil: *laughs* Yes. I remember Ruggie having to drag him to his classes because he sleeps a lot.

Jamil: But you know, I'm surprised you wouldn't do anything to sabotage this room.

MC: I don't see the need to. I can be petty in my own ways without harming other's reputations.

Jamil: Ah... Like how you keep the fact that he's going to have a baby with you.

MC: Hm. Now that you've mentioned it. Jamil, I might need a week of rest starting tomorrow.

Why, greetings my dear anon! I’m happy that you enjoyed the ‘Poor Unfortunate Souls’ to read it that many times - and I apologized that I haven’t been able to get started on the Scarbia segment yet (between that and Raison D’être plus work & other stories… and GloMas, I really need to get my priorities straight seriously -_-). However, I do intend on working on it as soon as I can so I can get it out sometime this month or in December - I mean, I think that would be the most logical since that one takes place during holiday break, right?

Now, for your request - I hope head cannons are alright for the time being. I’ll try to come back to them and do short stories for each of them that follows the same concept design as “Am I Feeling Love?” - which is the first installment of the Yandere!Azul series. I'm also going to divide this into two parts - about halfway through I realized I hadn't posted anything in a while and thus, I want to make it up to all of you for not writing or posting anything for some time.

Vil Schoenheit

Vil is a combination yandere - he is both a studdle stalker type, but also a projection type. Of course, in his youth, he was an up-and-coming movie star… famous for the villainous roles he played. This caused a lot of grief in his childhood, not to mention some of the trauma he had endured from other children who believed everything they saw on the big screen - thinking it was real, even though it was just special effects and players playing their roles on the stage. And, even though Jack Howl became the closest thing he had to a friend, there was nothing that he could do to shake the fear of wanting to be ‘the good guy’, the ‘hero’... to be the most beautiful of all.

As a junior in Night Raven, Vil and the rest of Pompfiore were just as shocked as the rest of the school when you appeared. At first, Vil was not interested in what you may have to offer - but ever faithful Rook was the one to point out certain features you had; soft cheeks, a creamy complexion, eyes wide and filled with wonder - not to mention a figure that would’ve had some acting agencies dying for; you almost reminded him the the princess the fairest queen had raised years ago. Vil was reluctant, but stepped forward and offered the headmage a place for you to stay in Pomfiore until you could return home. 

It was at this point that Vil realized that you were more than what you appeared. Whatever he asked of you, you did it - to nearly perfection. Scrub the ballroom flooring? It shone brighter than diamonds when you were done. Wipe down the windows? Clear as crystals. Tend to the gardens around the dormitory? Neat and tidy without a single flower or bush out of line. This, of course, caused Vil to backpeddle a little bit - if anyone from outside the dorm found out about how well you followed instructions (specifically a certain lion or scheming octopus), there would be trouble. Hence, Vil decided to try and keep you close, luring you in like the villain he was always meant to play.

He learned quickly that your home in your world was… chaotic. You often traveled back and forth between two families, plus your grandparents. If you had a choice in the matter - you would’ve stayed with your father and your stepmother full time as your mother and her on-again-off-again boyfriend often mistreated you. You were in charge of the cooking, cleaning, and caring for the home while under your mother’s care and were often trapped in her home more times out of the year. Vil had remembered about Niege LeBlance’s situation when the two stars were children - he could sympathize with your situation - and decided to take you under his wing. Vigorous training began shortly thereafter, and you soon found yourself secured under Vil’s thumb. You, along with Epel, were put through beauty regimens regularly, vocal and annunciation lessons followed classes and chores, and fashion and gossip columns replaced your books at night; and if either of you tried to escape or slip out of something, ever faithful Rook brought you straight back to Vil - a disapproving scowl on his face, arms crossed over his chest, and heeled foot tapping, looking very much like a disapproving mother.

With the arrival of spring and the fast approaching date of the Cultural Fair, Vil’s energy became more focused on the SDC - working long hours into the night perfecting the team for the competition. You did try to help sooth much of the stress that had fallen on the headwarden and offered your assistance in any way you could, Grim acting as your assistant under the watchful eye of Rook. It was also here that things slowly began to take a turn for the worst - after the mention of Neige LeBlance, Vil had begun turning to his phone more often, asking it every day who was the most beautiful of all. Mira always answered… Neige LeBlance.

The last straw was when you and Rook attempted to stop him from poisoning Neige, the vice warden ordering Neige to run and evacuate the premises. The other members of the team rushing in at the sound of Rook’s shouting. Vil couldn’t forgive himself for what he had attempted to do… he was as ugly as the poison that he created. If only he was the fairest… if only Neige LeBlance hadn’t walked into his life again… if only you could understand what it meant to be… the fairest one of all…

Idia Shroud

Idia would also be a combination type yandere - possessive and clingy on a short list, with subtle stalker on the longer list. Not that anyone can blame him of course - his childhood was spent in it’s entirety on the Island of Woe, the next Shroud in line to take up the mantle as the Watchman of the Underworld. He, and his little brother Ortho, were the only children that lived in the facility, spending their days playing video games, reading manga and comic books, as well as creating original characters of their own. However, tragedy struck when the two boys snuck out of their room during a routine lockdown and one of the phantoms possessed the younger brother - Idia’s grief and self-blame pushed him away from others, even after he was able to reunite with his brother… in a technological sense.

Years later, during his junior year at NRC, Idia was surprised when Ortho volunteered to bring you into Ignihyde - as many other students were. When Idia demanded an explanation - Ortho explained the scan he did on you indicated that you had a lot of the same qualities as many of Ignihyde's students. What a drag - but what's done is done, and Idia found himself, not only in charge of a dorm, but an unexpected guest as well.

For the first few months, Idia holed himself up in his room - trying to avoid an encounter with the ‘normie’ of the dorm; the magicless guest of Ignihyde. Ortho attempted over and over again to get him to come out and meet the new member, telling him all about how interested you were in manga comics, fantasy RPGs, and the like - but Idia always refused… until one night during a routine midnight snack run, he ran into you. You were smaller than he expected you to be, the dorm’s heavy leather jacket baggy over your form - also swapping the typical heavy denim jeans and boots for leggings and slippers. Idia was even more surprised when you offered him a large roll of chocolate chip cookies you had picked up from the school store, a smile on your face, “Hello, I’m (y/n). You must be Idia, right?”

And following that first encounter, Idia slowly began to warm up to you. He was drawn to your sassiness and imagination, especially when the two of you talked about video games - Idia even went as far as to introduce you to his online friend, Muscle Red - the gamer excited about having another runner in the mix for events. 

However, what no one knew was that Idia slowly began to worm his way into your online presence. He hacked into your computer that Ortho had provided for you and watched when you were online, who you interacted with, and what you talked about. At first, Idia reasoned it was a way to get to know you - the best way to find out the internal workings of someone was to figure out about the mask you wore, right? But even so, the real pusher was when he was spying on a chatroom you were a part of and one member began insulting you - saying that you weren’t really a gamer, that you didn’t know anything about online gaming, or anime, and that you were a fake… a ‘normie’. If Idia had been standing next to you, you would have seen his typical calm blue hair turn red hot - hotter than the flames of Tartarus. No one was going to get away with calling his friend a ‘normie’ - magicless or not.

In the months that followed, Idia began to slowly attach himself to you - spending more time in your presence than ever before. Then, when he was summoned back to the Island of Woe to test the students that had overblotted, he brought you along with him, keeping you close as each test was conducted, examined, and recorded. The look on your face and the questions you asked him, yes, brought him joy.. But also made him worry - what did you think of him now that you knew what he was doomed to become? Would you eventually end up like Ortho because of his mistakes? Idia didn’t want to think about that… but even so, to be free of his responsibilities… to not have to be the caretaker of the Phantoms any longer… to reset the world… maybe then, you would be safe…

Malleus Draconia

Malleus follows the same combination style - he’s definitely the obsessive, the stalker, and possessive style. Living in Briar Valley, it’s no secret that as the next in line it is his duty to help provide an heir that will take over for him when the time comes. As his mother and father had loved each other before him, Malleus often wished for the same kind of companionship that they had - however it is hard with Lilia away caring for a young human and Sebek, hence the only thing Malleus has is the comfort of his dreams. He dreams a lot, images of a fair young human traveling through the forests of Briar Valley playing in his mind - Malleus far too fearful to approach.

Many years later - during his junior year at NRC - Lilia informs him of a strange individual that has arrived - a magicless guest that is to be taking residence within the Ramshakle dorm that was on the school campus. Of course, Lilia had known about Malleus’ tendency to spend quiet nights in the dorm, listening to the sounds of the old building creek, the windows rattling against the wind… the silence and stillness of the place. Even so, Malleus does continue to travel to the dorm at night, walking around the premises like a dragon guarding his hoard. One night, however, he encounters you - the child of man with no magic abilities whatsoever - and is surprised by how easily you talk to him, without any fear in your eyes, even more so when you nickname him ‘Tsunotarou’. It slowly becomes a habit for him, heading to the Ramshakle dorm each night daily to spend time with you and talk to you - the first friend he has outside of the protection of Silver and Sebek. 

Malleus often sends Lilia to keep an eye on you, much to the chagrin of Sebek - the elder warming up to you and sharing everything he finds interesting with you with his charge - how you love visiting the other dorms, spending time with Ace, Deuce, and Grim, the struggles you encounter… never mind each of the overblot incidents that cause destruction and harm. Malleus then uses the reports to gain your trust, always lending out a hand to help when needed and offering comfort when there was none to be had. You slowly became his secret treasure - something he wanted to hide away, to protect endlessly until the end of your days.

But still… to a fae, a hundred years can pass in the blink of an eye… a thousand years was just the same way… And when the revelation of Lilia’s powers slowly depleting became noticeable, Malleus became lost for words. He was losing the closest thing he had to a father… and you were close to finding a way back to your world. He couldn’t allow that - he couldn’t lose anyone that was close to him.

When the others attempted to stop him - Malleus easily overpowered them. After all, he is one of the top five mages of the world - his power as a Draconia was more than enough to defeat an army, let alone students in a magic school. With ‘Fae of Maleficence’ casted, darkness covered the school - pulling everyone into slumber and keeping them as they were indefinitely. Everyone could be the protagonist of their own story… everyone could be happy… to live in their current state… and he would never be alone again…

Okay, now Sanctuary AU, being a follow-up of house Pet AU, is the evolution of the same Caretaker but in another situation. So when the Overblot pets get a bit better and would like to see outside, and Caretaker tints the back windows so they can feel safer looking outside while unlikely to be seen, who who and who if anyone

Also an opportunity for Azul to see outside if he can survive out the water,,,,,,,

By this point in time, I would imagine the seafolk are used to the sound of vehicle engines, though there will be some irritation on all their parts if they're stuck around that noise for too long. They won't have meltdowns like their house pet au versions but they will be kind of snippy. Eventually I would imagine Floyd would demand to learn how to drive, Azul shushes him because he's getting too excited but then would also ask to learn such a skill, which leads to Jade also jumping on that ship. They might fight over who gets the passenger's seat.

I would imagine that Vil would add in little knickknacks in the car over time. Just small little things like hanging up herbs he's gathered on the mirror to dry, a rather pretty bumper sticker just to be a little silly, but also makes sure to have a emergency first aid kit stored under the seat just in case. Probably got some nice seat coverings for himself because it irritates his skin and feathers to sit on the default seats, especially when he has a lot of pin feathers going on. But, other than that, car rides don't really fascinate him, usually, since he flies faster. Will probably go silent depending on the location because he hasn't seen a place at this specific angle.

If you see neck pillows and blankets, that Leona's fault. He doesn't even need them but has them anyway in the car just because. Always gets the passenger's seat regardless of who get to the car first, on the account that he doesn't ask and just takes it. Even when completely covered up, Leona more zones out than actually naps. Always aware when the car is off.

Malleus is as Malleus does and is fascinated by the car. So fascinated that it's very easy to surprise him so when you activate the wind wipers, his wings just sprawl right open and bat you in shoulder. That being said, it's a rather enclosed space for someone of his wingspan, so he and Vil often get sore joints if in the seat for too long. Lilia you'll probably have to grab by the leg and drag his ass back inside the car because he will stick his head out the window.

And Jamil was disgruntled at first, but if you give him control over the radio, he'll vibe. He doesn't really like compressing his form into a human one, so the car rides must be kept short. And if the car ride must be long and there's no other option, then you better put those seats down and let him rest his long tail in the back. Not the most comfortable, but he'll be fine.

Happy April fools, or Boop day. I shall now give all the twisted wonderland boys a Boop *boops all of them*

I am mainly here to ask how you would headcanon them reacting to a Boop (from either their lover or prefect) because this scenario has been stuck in my head looping for hours and I need to be fed.

(I’m sorry to everyone else who’s waiting for a HC list, but I just had to reply to this one asap lol)

Let’s go through the list and boop all the boys! Although as always, it’s easier for me to write this thing with ships in mind, so apologies to Yuu.

Riddle – if Trey does it, he’d be confused and flustered, but then look at him with a pout, asking why would he do that and saying that he isn’t a kid… And he’d look so adorable that Trey would suffer :”3 But if Ace does that, Riddle’d get annoyed and yell at him. And if Floyd does it, he’d get even more annoyed, red and aggressive, maybe he’ll even try to bite Floyd’s finger (spoiler alret: this one is going to be a reoccurring theme in this post). Floyd is going to be so happy – he just found Goldfishie’s funny button! I can also easily picture Che’nya appearing out of nowhere Bugs Bunny style and booping Riddle all day long until he loses it…

Ace – either a “ehh what was that for?!” or a bored and judgmental stare. He is the type to go “really, a boop? What are you, 6?” and then hypocritically boop the person. The moment he learns that it’s Boop day, his first thought would be Deuce lol

Deuce –  he’ll get confused and react a bit slowly, but then immediately get mad at Ace for laughing at him and try to boop him back. These two would probably chase each other, completely ignoring their surroundings and accidentally booping random people.

Trey – with any random person it would be a “do I have to boop you back now?” with an awkward smile, but if it’s Riddle who does it, he’ll get so stunned that Riddle is going to think that he did something wrong and get worried. It’s okay, Riddle. You did everything right, Trey just wasn’t ready for that.

Cater – “Oh nooo, Kei-kun got booped!” with almost everyone but if it’s Idia who does it (for whatever reason), he’d probably be too shoocked to react and just stare at him for 10 seconds. In general, I think Cater (as well as Kalim and Lilia) would enjoy Boop day the most. It’s fun + a good excuse to start a conversation with someone.

Leona – he’d warn Ruggie not to get too ballsy with him if he doesn’t want to lose his arm or something like that, but Ruggie and he both know that Leona won’t do any of that. Still, he’d get very annoyed and hide his face when he falls asleep until the day is over lol

Ruggie – he’d get worried that Leona might’ve hit his head or something, why would he boop him all of a sudden? Of course he knows that Leona has his kinda playful moments, but he probably wouldn’t resist the opportunity to tease him a little bit. Then he’ll hear an annoyed “forget it” and giggle to himself, because he doesn’t get to see embarrassed Leona every day.

Jack – he’s a big doggo, so he might be a biter in theory (it’s a reflex, nothing personal), but he is such a good boy that he’ll probably just get surprised and then frown. If it’s Vil who booped him, Jack is probably going to hear “what, aren’t you going to boop me back?”, just to see if Jack gets flustered hearing that. And if it’s Deuce who booped him, it’s going to get very awkward to both of them afterwards. But just as Deuce leaves, Jack would catch him and boop him…with his nose.

Azul – he’d get a bit startled, because he didn’t expect it, but then – it depends. If it’s Jamil who did it (for some reason…), Azul would get smug and a bit annoyed at the same time, trying to somehow embarrass Jamil for doing that. And suggest a payback, i.e. a boop for Jamil, which he definitely won’t get. And if it’s Idia, Azul is probably going to get more naggy and openly annoyed, because the fact that Idia is giggling at him makes him embarrassed. At first he would say that he doesn’t want to do something so childish, but if Idia keeps provoking him, he’ll absolutely try to boop him back.

Floyd – a biter. A total biter. When he is in a bad mood, he’ll bite out of annoyance, and when he is in a good mood, he’ll bite playfully. Either way, it’s scary! Epel is probably going to be traumatised by that, as well as poor Idia who didn’t want to boop Floyd in the first place. Riddle would yell at Floyd that biting is against the rules though lol Floyd doesn’t like to get booped in general, he prefers to do the booping.

Jade – pretty much the same as Floyd. Fortunately for Jade, he isn’t as popular as Floyd so there isn’t a huge line to boop him, but if Idia somehow ends up booping him, Jade will smile and hit him with “are you sure you want to do this?” before he does, making him reconsidering his choices. But it’s too late now, because Jade would get closer to Idia with his face, as if inviting a boop… or daring him to do it? I don’t know if Idia has it in him to actually boop Jade…

Kalim – he would laugh as if this is the funniest shit in the world. Especially if it’s Jamil who does it: it’s so unusual for Jamil to do something like this; Kalim is glad Jamil is having fun (he isn’t)!! He would make such a big deal out of it that Jamil is going to regret everything…

Jamil – if it’s Kalim who does it, he would react with a sigh, as if asking if Kalim is satisfied now. But he doesn’t mind it all that much – this isn’t the worst thing in the world, butt-smacking was way worse. But Jamil would get quite a lot of Scarabia people wanting to boop him after Kalim’s example so that would be very problematic. And if Azul wants to boop him as well, this is even worse! Jamil would hide from all of them, he isn’t getting booped by them!

Vil – only a couple of people are allowed to boop him, the rest wouldn’t really dare. He doesn’t really like having others’ fingers on his skin, even if it’s just the very tip of his nose. But if it’s Ortho, it’s okay, because his fingers don’t have any natural oils on it… and he is his special boy who can do no wrong lol He’d probably just smile at him for that. Rook would also be okay, but he has to take off his gloves and wash his hands first, so it’d have to wait until they’re alone. But then the boop would somehow turn into something sensual with Vil biting his finger very playfully?? And then there if Floyd who doesn’t ask for permission and just boops Vil, making him gasp because THE NERVE--

Rook – he is another one who prefers to boop and not to get booped, so he’d spend the day hunting or watching others hunt, enjoying the whole thing. But if someone boops him, he would act surprised and maybe even make a funny sound, but this is pretty much fake – he expected the boop, it’s very difficult to catch him off-guard. I feel like the only one to do it would be Vil who would lean for a kiss and them book Rook when he lets his guard down. Then Rook will get surprised for real.

Epel – this is the one who would definitely make a funny sound. A very cute one, actually. He didn’t mean to, and it was embarrassing, but he sounded so cute that it would make Floyd want to boop him again and again. And the best thing is, Epel can’t even boop him back, because Floyd is too tall. Rook would also boop Epel once, and it would be so stealthy and suddenly that it would take a moment for Epel to figure out what just happened.

Idia – thinking about all of his potential boyfriends, I feel like a boop from any of them would feel like a threat to this poor boy lol But anticipation is much scarier than the boop itself, so after getting booped he’d just sigh and grumble about this whole thing being childish. Which is funny considering that he himself would probably gladly boop Azul, but see, it’s different: Azul is such a stick-in-the-mud that it’s funny to boop him. If Ortho boops Idia though, he’d instantly get playful enough to boop him back. And if it’s Lilia who does it, Idia might actually get flustered.

Ortho – he’s going to make a computer “boop” sound. And then he would giggle and ask to boop him again, and then make a different sound. If it’s Vil who boops him, he’ll scoff and call him silly for that…  and boop him again. And if it’s Idia, he’d probably feel so much tenderness and love for him all of a sudden, which would surprise Ortho – this isn’t the reaction he was expecting at all!

Lilia – oh it’s Boop city for grandpa. He is the mayor of it. He boops everyone he can, and if someone boops him? He’s either sneezes in surprise (was it intentional?? Is that his sneeze button??) or tries to bite the finger with a smug face. He’s probably going to have a booping game with Malleus when they hunt each other, as if it’s beansfest all over again lol

Silver – well, for starters, he would wake up. I don’t think he’d do anything after that… but as he squints and looks at his own nose that just got booped, he’d look so cute that both Lilia and Sebek wouldn’t resist a second boop.

Sebek – wow, another biter lol And not a playful one like some of the previous boys. I feel like if Idia or Silver boop him, he might get so mad that he actually would try to bite them. But not on their first try, I think they would have to boop him a couple of times before he loses it. If Malleus boops Sebek though, he’d whimper in surprise, his brain would overload with information and he would faint… while standing still and still staring at Malleus. The lights are on but nobody’s home…

Malleus –  if Sebek does it, he’d get so surprised that he wouldn’t even get mad. Seeing how nervous Sebek is about this whole thing (was this a bet? Did Lilia force him to do it?), he’ll just start teasing him and enjoying himself tremendously��� But if Lilia boops him, he’ll probably get pouty and might even complain about Lilia treating him like a kid. But then, as Lilia tries to look into his face to see if he is really mad at him, he’ll boop him right back with a smug smile on his face. Now it’s 1:1.

I was thinking about the dorm’s spirits and how all the characters embody them (it’s super interesting to me, I might post another analysis about just that sometime) and I noticed something interesting. It kinda seems like characters overblot when they stop embodying the spirit of their dorm properly. And I wanna rant about that. Spoilers for all 7 overblots.

Heartslabyul is meant to embody the spirit of strictness.

Obviously, Riddle is incredibly strict. That’s the whole problem in Book 1. And personality wise, that doesn’t really change. He doesn’t stop wanting to be in control. But after Ace and Deuce challenge him, he loses control over his dorm. Everything turns into chaos. Whether or not he wants strictness and order, he can’t create it anymore.

And then, when he actually overblots, he actively breaks the rules and ignores authority figures. Crowley tells him to calm down and he doesn’t listen. He punishes everyone in the dorm for one person’s actions, even though that’s not real justice. And there’s no way that throughout all of his magic training he didn’t learn that using his signature spell on that many people was a bad idea. But he gets so caught up in ending the chaos that he creates more chaos, and instead of mending the rules, he thinks he can be the only one allowed to break them.

Savanaclaw embodies the spirit of persistence.

Leona hadn’t really seen the point in trying, he was seemingly depressed for a while, but he kept going anyways. He kept attending school and tried to cheat his way into winning Spelldrive.

But he overblots when he finally gives up. He gives up on winning the tournament, on helping his classmates, on doing anything with his life. He gives up on everything. He decides to just quit and even calls other people idiots for continuing to try at anything.

Azul’s is one of the most interesting to me because I feel like there’s a couple ways to interpret his dorm’s spirit. But, Octavinelle is meant to embody the spirit of benevolence.

Taking that at face value, when he overblots, obviously he isn’t being charitable or kind to others. Previously he really had been giving people at least something in return for whatever they gave up. You could argue he was being charitable. There’s a chance that a long time ago, he really was charitable. But at the point where he overblots he practically starts stealing souls for nothing in return.

Looking at it from a slightly different angle, he isn’t being kind or charitable towards himself. It might seem like he is at first, since again, he’s stealing souls for himself, but the reason he’s doing that isn’t. He isn’t acknowledging his own skill or his own value. He isn’t showing himself any kindness at all, instead saying that he needs to pretend to be someone else because he’s awful. He basically says the same stuff his bullies said to himself. And, when it comes to the money and business aspect, he lost everything with the contracts.

Scarabia is meant to embody the spirit of mindfulness.

The reason Jamil’s a good schemer is because of his mindfulness. He keeps track of any harm that could come to himself, his reputation, or others, so he can make a plan with the least risk and so he can create contingencies where he can.

But when he overblots he stops keeping track of everything and focuses only on hurting Kalim. He’s incredibly self destructive at that point. To quote him directly, “Myself, my family, I don’t care about ANY of it anymore!” That isn’t being mindful of anything.

Pomefiore is meant to embody the spirit of tenacity. Admittedly, it does kinda just sound like Savanaclaw 2: Determination Boogaloo but they are slightly different.

Vil overblots when he tries to kill Neige because he’s given up on ever winning against him. He decides that no amount of hard work will ever change anything and he can never achieve his goal.

Kalim even points out his sudden change in attitude from, “if we work hard and do everything right our beauty will be greater than anyone else’s,” to “we might as well just kill the competition.” And Vil actually realizes that what he did was the opposite of the tenacity he admires, and ironically, that just creates stronger self loathing and makes him want to give up more.

He ultimately decides that killing everyone on the planet would actually be better than continuing to work towards his goal. Admittedly, trying to kill everyone is its own kind of tenacity, but still. And it was a little unclear if he was actually gonna go through with that. He was maybe just going to kill anyone who saw him.

Ignihyde is meant to embody the spirit of… uh… *looks at thesaurus* diligence. Yeah. It’s diligence this time. Not persistence or tenacity. Diligence.

In a more legal sense of the word, Idia fails to be diligent when he decides to open the underworld. Honestly, you could even argue that he fails to be diligent when he fails to stop Ortho from going down there and talking to the phantoms in the first place. It was his responsibility to look after Ortho and to keep the phantoms locked up. But I’m gonna say that the main failure of diligence is when he decided to actively go against his responsibility as director.

In a more personal way, he fails to be diligent by giving up on ever fixing his life. He decides to cause the apocalypse, which might not sound like the easy way out, but I’ve dealt with similar mental health issues as Idia and it often seems like it would be. He doesn’t want to go through the effort of trying to break his curse, or trying to make friends, or trying to find forgiveness, or trying to change his life at all. He decides he’ll either wallow in self pity forever, or try to make his life fully start over, because making things right is too much work.

Diasomnia is meant to embody the spirit of nobility. This one is a bit tricky to describe, honestly, but he does stop acting noble before his overblot.

A part of nobility is often being selfless or caring for others in some way, and on the surface it might seem like Malleus is caring for others. He certainly thinks he is. But he’s actually being incredibly selfish. He’s ignoring what other people want, even what Lilia wants, just because he doesn’t want to be left alone. That’s understandable, but ultimately it is a very selfish goal.

Malleus has always been a kind of selfish character, but he does worry about being polite and charitable in specific ways. For example, his concern about invitations, and his desire to use magic to help others, often as thanks for various things but not always.

He’s no longer worried about being polite, or kind, or even ruling his kingdom, if you want to talk about the other meaning of nobility. He’s only concerned with making everyone sleep and never die so he doesn’t have to deal with the pain of being alone.

Ace: He’s a part of the Basketball club right? I don’t really know him, but Mads seems to enjoy his company. Knowing her, he’s probably just as chaotic.

Deuce: That’s Jack’s friend! Sometimes I run with them. He’s pretty athletic. Seems like a nice kid.

Cater: One of my Pop Music club buddies! He’s got a good voice, but his guitar skills need work. He’s one of the cool people on campus.

Trey: He seems cool. Kind of nerdy, but cool.

Riddle: The housewarden? I kind of feel bad that he has to put up with Mads’ antics, but he was extremely uptight even as a first year. What? He had family issues…guess that makes sense.

Savanaclaw

Jack: One of our freshman! He’s adorable in a little brother kind of way. Really hardworking too. He needs to learn when to let respect for your elders go, otherwise he will become a door mat for his upperclassmen.

Ruggie: Rug is one of the most dependable people I know. We often trade who does Leona’s chores. He’s fun. Not much else to say.

Leona: He’s my dorm leader and classmate. I have a lot of respect for him. He helped me a lot during my second year…I owe a lot to him.

Octavinelle

Jade: He’s too quiet. Not to mention He seems weirdly strong and shifty. Don’t trust anyone who struggles at flying.

Floyd: I’m used to being around unpredictable people. He seems like a lot of fun. Calls me Sandpiper…I don’t really see it.

Azul: Don’t like him and certainly don’t trust him.

Scarabia

Jamil: I feel bad for him. I love Kalim, but he seems like a nightmare to work for. His cooking though? One of the best things I have EVER eaten. He’d be unstoppable if he stopped holding back.

Kalim: Another one of my Pop Music club buds! He’s so energetic it’s infectious. His drum playing isn’t half bad and he does have natural rhythm.

Pomefiore

Epel: One of Jack’s classmates right? He seems interesting. I’ve tried to convince him to transfer dorms to Savanaclaw, but no luck.

Rook: One of my classmates. He used to be in Savanaclaw and he really wasn’t that bad, but when he transferred…he got ten times more eccentric.

Vil: We don’t get along.

Ignihyde

Ortho: That’s the robot right? Neat.

Idia: Who? Oh the tablet guy? He doesn’t talk much. Can’t get a vibe on him.

Diasomnia

Sebek: Loud. I can hear him from across the hall. With headphones on. At least he’s enthusiastic.

Silver: Lilia asks me to wake him up if I see him. I feel bad that he can’t help randomly falling asleep. It’s cute to see how the little birds around campus follow him around.

Lilia: The final Pop Music club buddy! Lilia is extremely fun to be around. His bass playing is amazing. How is he that good!? His voice? It’s…impressive.

Malleus: He’s hard to approach. He’s honestly pretty terrifying. I don’t really get why he and Leona have issues, but you can cut the tension with a knife.

Azul Ashengrotto of Royal Sword Academy || Chapter 22: Halloween Tour Date

Summary:

Jamil decides to spend their first day together touring Azul around NRC's Campus in the midst of Halloween Week.

Many offer their support, though a certain student has different intentions in mind...

Word Count: 3,894

At the head of the dining table is Jade, writing in his notebook. To his left, Floyd and Rielle seem to be in the middle of a pleasant conversation. Beside Rielle is Ruggie, drawing things on Ace's face while the freshman is sleeping on his arms on the table, seated across from Ruggie. The two vacant chairs are between Jade and Ace.

Ruggie sniffs the air when they arrive and turns to look at them. "Aw yeah food's here!"

"I trust you didn't wait too long?" Azul asks as he and Jamil set down the plates on the table.

"Nah we just got here," Floyd says through a wide yawn.

"Thank you for cooking breakfast," Rielle smiles at them. "You didn't have to wake up so early for us.”

"It wasn't any trouble at all," Jamil replies, sitting next to Ace and taking a sip from his coffee cup. "Besides, we already spent the whole day yesterday sleeping." He nods at the freshman beside him. "Looks like someone hasn't recovered from our late-night excursion." He gives Ace a poke. "Hey. It's rude to sleep at the dining table."

Ace violently jerks up. "Gah! Don't behead m— Bwah?"

"Mornin', Crabbyyyyyy," Floyd croons, snickering.

Ace blinks and then gazes at the meal before them. "Oh, food!"

"You got that right!" Ruggie rubs his hands together. "C'mon, let's dig in!"

"Do you cook a lot, Jamil?" Rielle asks as they all begin eating.

"I've been cooking since I was a kid and I often cook for my dorm members,” Jamil replies.

“Ah, I see. I saw the cookies you made for Azul back at the ball, I was surprised to see him eating them since he usually avoids snacking. They must have been good for him to finish them."

"Must have been?" Azul looks at Rielle pointedly. "You ate three of those cookies yourself."

"And I don't regret it!" Rielle says with a grin.

"Ehhhh? Sea Snake, you made treats and you didn't give us any?" Floyd complains, looking at Azul. "Octyyyyy, make him make us treats, tooooo!"

Azul chuckles. "I don't think any of us can make Jamil do anything, Floyd."

Ace snorts beside Jamil. "Yeah, right. This guy doesn't know his power," he mutters to Ruggie.

Floyd gasps at Jamil in realization. "Hey! You said gifts weren't needed at the ball! But you brought Octy a gift!"

"I liked your gift too, Floyd," Rielle reassures him, holding up his wrist and pulling his sleeve back to show a bracelet where he had affixed a button as a charm. "See?" he smiles.

Floyd's mouth gapes open as he stares at the bracelet, then at Rielle's face. "I'd make out with you right here but Jade has been gettin' on me about my table manners lately."

Rielle's face goes red and he laughs nervously, averting his eyes. "Th-That's—" he clears his throat. "Anyway, maybe I can bring treats next time I come here."

"A... button?" Ruggie asks in confusion.

"Aww, lookit Floyd being such a charmer!" Ace teases.

"It's a good thing you imposed that restriction, Jade," Jamil mutters. "I don't think my appetite can handle watching Floyd tear into Rielle this early in the morning."

Jade chuckles in amusement. “It really has been a delight having you all around; do feel free to visit Octavinelle whenever it pleases you. It’s a shame we must go our separate ways today.”

"Shoot, you're right!" Ace hisses, sitting straight up. "I can’t be late for Heartslabyul's assembly! It's my costume shift today!"

"And I gotta buy some snacks for the cubs at Sam's shop later." Ruggie hums. "Leona's idea. Don't tell anyone, though. He wants to keep coming off as aloof as ever. What about you lil' lovebirds?"

"No, no, haven't you learned, Ruggie?" Jade playfully chastises him. "Only Floyd and Rielle are the lovebirds here."

Ruggie snorts. "Right, and Leona and I are just friends. I been hangin' out with these two since Azul's first visit here," he points at both of them in turn with his spoon. "And like I told Jamil back then, my nose never lies," he taps on the side of his nose with his finger.

He smirks meaningfully, and Jamil suddenly remembers how Ruggie had said in detention that Jamil had Azul's scent all over him.

And that was just after one hug that only lasted for a handful of seconds.

Jamil tries his best to focus on his food and keep a straight face despite feeling heat rush to his cheeks.

Jade then politely clears his throat. "Azul, Rielle, what will you be doing today? Does the committee have any duties of their own to attend to?"

"Ah, I'm currently suspended from the committee as I'm still recovering," Azul says.

"I have to coordinate with your Halloween committee later to finalize the catering," Rielle answers. "All in all, Azul and I don't have to go back to RSA until later this afternoon."

"Awww, can't you sleep here again?" Floyd pouts at Rielle.

"I'll keep visiting whenever I can," Rielle smiles at him, putting a hand on top of his.

Floyd brightens up. "And I can visit RSA! If Sea Snake can fly all the way over there to smooch his crush, I can too!"

"I wasn't smooching him," Jamil huffs. Not back then, at least. “Finish your breakfast.”

"Yeah, let's get this show on the road and make everyone see just how awesome this year's Halloween Week's gonna be!" Ace proudly declares, new energy pumping through his veins from both the coffee, the meal, and the looming threat of getting clocked by his own Prefect.

After freshening up with showers, the group soon split up by the Hall of Mirrors, with Jade and Rielle heading for the assembly hall where the Halloween Committee would be holding a meeting.

Ruggie saluted them then dipped into Savanaclaw's mirror, Ace practically ran for Heartslabyul's, and Floyd… well, he had almost followed Rielle, but when he was told that only committee members would be allowed in, he groaned and slinked off to who knows where.

Jamil then wordlessly offers his hand for Azul to hold.

Azul looks surprised for a moment, but he smiles softly and takes Jamil's hand, lacing their fingers together. "Where shall we go first?"

"Since you're not in any committee, we'll be treating you like a guest here, Mister Ashengrotto," Jamil replies playfully. "We're getting you a stamp ticket first, and the closest booth that'd give those would be at the clock tower near Sam's shop. Visit all the special locations and get them stamped and you'll get yourself a lil' prize." He leads Azul out of the building, where paved roads, foliage, and lampposts are adorned with pumpkins, streamers, and festive lights blending in with the trees' autumn colors.

"Oh? And what prize would that be?" Azul asks in interest. "Or is that an NRC secret?"

Other students are starting to notice their linked hands, and several of them turn their heads and look at Jamil curiously.

"It's not a secret, it's just candy," Jamil replies. He notices the stares. He tells himself that it's all right and simply sticks even closer to Azul. "Why? Hoping for another kind of treat?"

Azul raises an eyebrow playfully, "I am." Then his voice lowers to almost a purr and he leans his face closer to Jamil's. "I'm hoping for something much sweeter than candy." Then he chuckles and stands up properly again like nothing happened. "What do we have to do at the clock tower to get a stamp?"

Jamil widens his eyes at Azul's bold flirt right in the middle of the street and takes a few seconds to blink and recover before responding, "What… do we have to do..? Oh er… nothing, really. Just find the guy assigned for giving out those stamp sheets and move on. The school hasn't opened to the public yet so we'll have a few moments of peace before the visitors crowd in."

And so they arrive at the clock tower. To the right, Sam's shop is seen, decked out in tapestries, carpets, haybales and pumpkins to resemble an abandoned marketplace. Many of the Scarabia students are tidying up the area, dressed in a scarlet-and-white ensemble as they don fake wolf ears and tails.

A few of them notice the duo approaching and proceed to greet them with waves and hearty "good mornings".

"Prefect! Thank goodness you're here!" One of them calls out. "We need more hands in the make-up department and Mister Sam needs help with restocking!"

"Idiot," hisses someone else. "Can't you see he's on a date with Mister Azul right now?"

"Oh, are you needed here?" Azul turns to Jamil. "It's alright, we can continue the tour later." He turns to the other residents. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

"OH! No, i-it's okay! Never mind! We got this handled—" stammers the student asking for help.

"It's all right," Jamil calmly reassures them, decidedly not refuting the fact that they're on a date. "I also came here to assist and make up for my absence yesterday." He turns to Azul and gives his hand a gentle squeeze. "Don't worry, this'll be quick. Maybe you can see if you can help Sam. He should be inside his shop."

Azul smiles at him and squeezes his hand back. "Alright, I shall see you in a bit." He gives a friendly nod to the other residents and goes inside the shop.

"Prefect, are you really dating Mister Azul now?" a bright-eyed first year asks him excitedly.

"Sshh, don't pester Prefect!" says a sophomore passing by carrying fake wolf ears and a makeup kit.

"Is he gonna borrow our dorm uniform again?" another first year asks.

The sophomore scoffs. "You just wanna ogle Mister Azul's biceps."

"I do not!" he blushes fiercely.

"Is Mister Azul your boyfriend now?" the first year repeats his question louder to talk over the others, turning the heads of their other dormmates.

Jamil stares awkwardly at the numerous Scarabia kids looking at him.

"I… well... Does that matter right now?"

"He's not denying it," sing-songs someone from the group.

"Aw, come on, boss! There's no need to be shy! We're only asking 'cause we're rooting for you two!"

"Yeah! We could prolly help too, if you let us in on the deets!"

Jamil sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. "That's unnecessary. If you really wanna help, just don't pester Azul about any of this, okay?" He glances around to make sure no one else is listening in before he mumbles. "Just so you can stop asking, yes… I guess you can say we're dating now."

There are a few gasps, then scattered claps and cheers among his residents.

"I KNEW IT!" a sophomore pumps his fist in the air. "When he offered to tutor us with the study sheets, the payment he asked for was for us to stop setting up dangerous traps for you, boss."

"Yeah, he thought we wanted to kill you or something to take your place!" says his resident with a fondness for quicksand traps.

"Glad we sorted it out, though," says the one who usually paid attention to the study sheets. "He looked worried about you, Prefect."

"I'm so excited to learn from both of you, boss!"

"He's really cute," the first year says dreamily.

"Sshh!" another sophomore scolds him.

"What? I didn't say I wanna date him, I'm just saying Prefect has good taste!" the first year says defensively.

"SHUSH! SHHHH!" Jamil hisses at all of them, though he can't deny that there was something that felt nice to have his romantic interests be met with such enthusiasm. "Quit it! If you really wanna be supportive, then don't be embarrassing! Come on, gimme those make-up kits."

"You heard 'im, fellas! The sooner we get this finished, the sooner they can get back to their date!"

"YEAH!" Everyone exclaims.

Jamil sighs again and momentarily closes his eyes as he feels his face warm.

His residents maintain a giddy energy throughout their work, but to their credit they still did their jobs efficiently.

After making sure that everyone already has makeup on, Jamil wonders if he should check on Azul. He hasn't seen him ever since he went inside to help restock shelves, and Jamil realizes that he doesn't know whether Azul has taken a break yet, or exactly how many boxes he's had to lift already.

"All right, are you guys good to go?" Jamil asks the students.

There’s a scattered reply of “Yeah!”. 

"Okay, good. Just hit me up with a text if you guys run into any problems."

"Aye-aye, sir!"

Jamil then makes his way to Sam’s shop, already feeling worried about Azul. He better not be exerting himself too much in there…

"...We're not gonna be contacting Prefect, are we?" Test-Groaner asks Gossipmonger once Jamil was out of earshot.

"And ruin their first date as a couple? Hell no." Gossipmonger scoffs.

Jamil opens the door to the shop and he hears Sam's laughter along with Azul's; they seem to have just finished a conversation.

Sam says he'd go check the stocks in the back, and he leaves with a friendly wave.

Azul turns back to his work and stocks the shelf behind him. He had removed his coat and his sleeves are rolled up to his elbows; the muscles in his arms and torso flex under his shirt as he reaches up to stock the topmost shelves.

A student in a vampire costume smoothly walks from one of the aisles and approaches Azul.

Pomefiore, Jamil thinks.

"Azul Ashengrotto, isn't it?" he asks, standing behind Azul.

Azul glances behind him and turns to face the student with a polite smile. "Yes, good morning."

"Hansel Finnegan, Pomefiore," he says in his silken voice, extending a hand.

"A pleasure to meet you," Azul takes the handshake, standing straight like a proper RSA student.

"Oh no, not yet," Hansel says with a low chuckle, then he smoothly bows and lifts Azul's hand, brushing his lips lightly against the back of it.

Azul's eyebrows raise in surprise, but Hansel takes a step closer to him before he can say anything.

"Will you be staying long?" Hansel asks. "I can show you around, the Pomefiore castle looks especially gorgeous this week," he tilts his head.

"Ah," Azul seems to realize Hansel's intentions, but he retains his polite smile. "Thank you, but I'm afraid I already have plans."

"Oh? No more room in your schedule for a neck-biting creature of the night, then?" Hansel says playfully, taking another step forward.

Azul subtly tries to put more distance between them, but his back hits the shelf.

Jamil was quick to act, eyes shooting daggers as he makes his way over and clamps a hand on Hansel's shoulder.

"Hey," he greets, trying to sound as neutral as he can. He doubts his eyes are looking anywhere near friendly, though. "If we're talking about schedules, I heard your Prefect's calling all the costumed students over to the Pomefiore booth. Gates are gonna open in ten minutes and I wouldn't wanna be late if I were you."

Hansel turns to look at him distractedly. "Huh? Oh, that's more than enough time." He turns to Azul again. "What do you say, Azul? Would you like to come with me and see our booth?"

"I'm still busy at the moment," Azul gestures to the shelf. "I'm sure I'll have time to visit the Pomefiore booth later today."

"Our booth would be swarmed once the gates open because of our Prefect. I’m sure you know who Vil Schoenheit is," Hansel says with an air of smugness. "If you come with me now, I can give you a private tour, I'll show you behind the scenes of our preparations," he smiles and flutters his eyelids, his glitter eyeshadow drawing more attention to the color of his eyes.

"Such hospitable treatment…" Jamil mutters, slipping in between the both of them. "Perhaps you're better off dedicating that energy to actual visitors. He's already got a tour guide. It's me. Now back off before I knock those fake dentures out of you."

Hansel looks taken aback at Jamil's words, then he sneers. "And what makes you think you'd be a better tour guide than me? You're not even in costume."

"Hansel," Azul speaks up. "We wouldn't want you to get in trouble with your Prefect. Perhaps you should go to your booth now."

Hansel clenches his jaw for a moment. "Alright. But I'll look for you again, Azul." He looks at Jamil. "You don't have sole claim to him."

Jamil makes a friendly smile, seeing that Hansel is making direct eye contact with him.

And at that moment, he activates his Signature Spell.

He doesn't even need to do the chant for a chump like Hansel.

"Jamil…?" Azul mutters behind him, confused at what's happening.

The smugness in Hansel's smile disappears as his face goes slack, his blank now-crimson eyes staring at Jamil.

"Are you sure that Azul is something to be claimed?" Jamil sweetly asks, tilting his head. "You don't actually mean that, right?"

Hansel pauses for a moment before he shakes his head.

"Shouldn't you apologize to him for spouting all that stupid stuff, then?"

Hansel stiffly turns to Azul and bows, remorseful. "I'm sorry for being such a pee-pee poo-poo head, Azul."

Jamil snorts, trying to keep his laughter in. "You're doing great, er... Hansel, right?"

"Yes, Master," Hansel perks up, looking up at Jamil with great reverence. "Thank you, Master."

Azul's mouth opens in surprise. "Jamil," he says in a playfully scolding tone. "Using your Signature Spell for something like this, really?"

Jamil smiles back at Azul. "I know. A very worthwhile endeavor, no?" He turns to Hansel. "You, every time you look at Azul, any sense of inappropriate urges you get leaves you tongue-tied and unable to speak. Understood?"

"Understood, Master," Hansel furiously nods.

"Great! Now then… Why don't you head on over to your booth and really play your part as a fun vampire for the visitors to enjoy? Your Prefect would really appreciate all your efforts, I'm sure."

"Yes, Master," Hansel says in determination and bows deeply to Jamil before walking out of the door.

Azul stares after him in awe, then looks at Jamil in concern. "Are you feeling alright? That's quite the powerful magic you just used."

Jamil shrugs, feeling fine. "Honestly, he's one of the easiest targets I've had in a long time. I'm okay, don't worry. More importantly, looks like you gotta stop being so desirable, otherwise I really might end up having to resort to all kinds of methods just to keep people from trying anything. Seriously, though, he was being a creep. Are you all right?"

"It was a little unsettling, but yes I'm alright," Azul reassures him. "And what part of this is desirable, exactly?" he says in a more playful tone. "I'm doing grunt work restocking shelves."

"Mm-hm, and you look good doing it, that's the problem," Jamil replies pointedly. "If I was restocking shelves and I didn't have my jacket while my sleeves were rolled up, how would you react?"

A smile appears on Azul's face, his eyes twinkling mischievously. "Oh, I don't know," he says in a feigned innocent tone. "Maybe you should try it so we can find out."

Jamil grins and shrugs. "You don't mind me just watching, do you? I already did all my grunt work outside." He does feel a little winded from all the running around they did while applying makeup and helping the other residents get in costume.

"Of course I don't mind, I'm almost done here, anyway," Azul says sincerely as he continues to stock the shelves.

Jamil glances around the interior to prevent himself from ogling his boyfriend too much. "By the way, other than that rude guy who just left, what do you think of this shop, as an aspiring business owner yourself?"

"It’s fascinating," Azul says. "Sam wasn't lying; it looks like you can find anything in here, stocking these shelves showed me that. I'm guessing you guys buy most of the stuff you need here?"

"Yep. Not once have I ever seen Sam run out of stock on something unless a whole dorm went and bought one specific item off of the shelves. Even then, they'd be fully restocked the next day... Not to mention that he seems to know what you're looking for even before you walk into his shop." He casts another glance around the shop's wares, suspicious this time. "Convenient, but a little unsettling… Do you guys have shops at RSA?"

"Perhaps that's part of his magic skills," Azul says, not sounding unsettled at all. "His shadow does seem to be sentient; I wouldn't be surprised if he has other powers that help him know what his customers want. And yes, we have shops at RSA, but they're different little shops for different things set up all over campus; instead of one big shop like this where you can find most things already."

He puts the last of the stocks on the shelves and brushes off his hands. He takes a step back and rests his hands on his hips, looking up and down the shelves.

"That looks proper enough, right?"

Jamil steps next to Azul and stares at the shelves before him. "I wouldn't know, since I don't know what's supposed to be stocked here, but... they seem perfectly fine to me. Look at you," he gives Azul an affectionate nudge on the shoulder. "Perhaps you'd make a good 'humble dockworker' hauling stuff around if the entrepreneur thing doesn't work out."

"Dockworker could work, everytime I need to renew my shifting potion I'd just jump in the water," Azul says playfully, then he walks over to the coat rack and takes his coat, draping it over his arm.

Jamil takes out a black glossy pamphlet and holds it out for Azul. "By the way, it's the stamp booklet. I managed to get one for you, just in time for—"

"Attention all students: Night Raven College's gates have now officially opened for visitors on Halloween Week's Second Day,” an announcement blares over the speakers outside.

"...That. C'mon, let's get the Scarabia stall stamped before we get swarmed with more people who could catch you looking this nice."

"’This nice'?" Azul asks as he and Jamil get out of the shop. "You do know this is just my school uniform. Every student in RSA wears this," he says in fond amusement.

"No, unfortunately even with the RSA coat trying to hide it, there's all this Azul charm going on around here." Jamil playfully gestures at the merman's face. "If I didn't know any better, I could say you're the one hypnotizing people towards you."

Azul laughs, his cheeks turning pink. "My, Jamil, are you saying you're feeling hypnotized by my charms?" he asks playfully through half-lidded eyes.

"As an expert on the subject, I have been for a long while now," Jamil replies, leaning forward to give Azul a kiss, beaming at the surprised and slightly flushed look on Azul’s face afterwards. "Now let's tell Sam we're heading off and get outta here already. Those booths aren't gonna explore themselves."

They bid goodbye to Sam—and his shadow—and head outside.

Do you have a song that represents your OC, if so why?

I have SEVERAL songs that represent Yume. Last time I answered a song in this post, that made me think of Yume's overall time in Twisted Wonderland. (It's a sorta long post with analysis.) And @bunnwich has said that "Waiting on a Miracle" from Encanto reminds them of Yume. Most recently the song that represents Yume for me is. Camera's by Matt and Kim.

I love the idea of Yume slowly coming out of their shell and learning that they need to be more than just a spectator in life if they wanna be happy not only in the future but now as well! 0v0

Who is your OC’s closest platonic friend?

I know I KNOW I DONT TALK ABOUT IT MUCH!

But Ruggie and Yume are besties y'all! They don't really know how it happened either considering Yume disliked his smug aura and hates when people steal from them specifically. And Ruggie can smell a goodie too shoes a mile away. Of course, that's just the surface-level projection of both of them.

Once they get to know each other in and after chapter 2 they both see past that and realize they have things in common and of course a dumb similar taste in humor.

Add that to the fact that Yuuta and Leona "hang out" and also Jack and Yuuhi "hang out", and it leaves Yume and Ruggie as the platonic 3rd wheels. So they kinda just gravitate toward each other during those times too. Don't get them wrong, Grim, Deuce, and Ace were their first friends and hold a special place in their heart. But I think they get along with Ruggie on a very visceral level that they didn't expect lol. Reminds me of this OLD but still good meme:

Tell us about a complicated relationship your OC has with another character?

Last time with this question I talked about Yume's relationship with Jamil! So this time let me talk about Yume's relationship with KALIM!

Oh boy where to start. Yume didn't officially meet Kalim until chapter 4 and was very skeptical meet a genuinely kind person at NRC, especially after getting betrayed by Azul. So when Kalim is just genuinely nice and kind it kinda threw them for a loop. And then he started talking and saying nice things ABOUT Yume. Compliments they've never heard from anyone before! Plus the fact that he was so touchy (in a good way! Yume enjoys casual affection)

And the whole flying carpet under the stars didn't help (even with their brothers with them the whole time.)

So yeah it kinda developed into a big time crush, unfortunately. Though after going through the events of chapter 4 they realize that Jamil and Kalim have their own things to work through and that maybe trying to get into a relationship with Kalim...isn't right at the moment. (Plus all their fear of rejection/vulnerability/ and inexperience when it comes to dating in general. Oh, and not to mention the feelings they're definitely not catching from some shut-in gamer boy too.) Still they don't really shake their crush completely until I'd say the near end of my fic The Diamond in the Rough and the Boy without a Fairy. (Which takes place between chapters 4 and 5 in game)

Though they still find things awkward around Kalim so that leads to them just kind of...avoiding him for a while. It's a lil shitty on their part but eventually Kalim notices and they both officially have a talk of sorts that clears the air in Chapter 5 (during the VDC training camp.) I do plan on writing it one day but right now I'm in the middle of writing other lore!

SPIDERS, TALKING TO STRANGERS, TALKING ON THE PHONE. HEIGHTS, ADVANCED DARKNESS! FLOYD LURKING IN THE CORNER WITH THAT LOOK ON HIS FACE! (the usual) 20. What chapter does your OC get the most personal character development? @cyn-write asked this question too!

Definitely Chapter 3! I feel like in me and @bunnwich timeline so many things happen around that time.

The Ramshackle gang getting to know their respective love interests, Yuuta/Yuuhi getting their respective weapons, Yume snapping and going a little insane on how to plan and get back at Azul and showing that they're not just a shy goody goody. It just is a time when the brothers are starting to really feel like they understand and belong in Twisted Wonderland to a degree y'know?

I'm probably the only weirdo who thinks Raverne is alive and is Crowley. I 100 percent believe both of these.

Do I want it? Unless Crowley is actually 10000 percent a useless idiot who got it right 1 time in his life, (Getting with Maeleanor and having Malleus), then not really no.

The above would be hilarious in my opinion. If it were the same but Crowley has been playing it up this whole time, I think that would just feel boring and I wouldn't really be content with it.

Your idea though. Regardless of if it is right, or not, should be the true conclusion of that. Because I'm just finding little scenes in my head of malleus going on trips during school nights (I mean does he need to sleep? His grades are fine. Who's gonna stop him?) and like visiting the gargoyles gathering information he's been gathering for YEARS and basically playing detective.

Yuu finds out and wants to help! For one, Malleus was the first person they met who hasn't either insulted them, bullied them, accused basically of messing with the magic mirror to get there (with what magic in this magic-less human), and basically told in order to stay (remember we never asked to come and have no idea how we got there) that we have to work and pay for our own food and stuff and room and board with a very low stipend.

Us ... At a PRESTIGIOUS BOARDING SCHOOL. And we have to use the money we are given for our work, even as we become students, and still do work outside of our school work to keep getting paid. All the while the teacher's aren't doing anything to help about this (just teaching us and being hard on us even though we don't have magic and Grim is new to being taught magically, never mind that Grim should be praised for learning to talk and honing his magic the little bit he's been able to over his years of existence). Sorry, as you can see I have a lot of contention on this part. Lol

So back to your idea. I thought it would be cute if, within your idea, (doesn't have to be shippy but can be, though I see it first and foremost as platonic) Yuu starts to question Malleus about these trips because they always come with Malleus visiting them, or rather Ramshackle, before taking off. So once Malleus tells them, in full or partial or however much he would say at whatever given time the information is told to them, basically Yuu ends up helping out.

For an extra funny scene, I was thinking it would be so funny if we got an on caffeine-but-running-on-two-hours-of-sleep Yuu, looking like Charlie Day specifically from that one It's Always Sunny episode.

So finally Malleus has to get the whole gang together (who have all, even Ruggie when he can even we explicitly tell him we understand if he can't help but it's all coming from Leona anyway so we don't try to hard, and Leona, who claims it was cause Vil and Malleus wouldn't leave him alone about it—but basically all the cast of characters have been helping us out with room and board and meals because they aren't idiots and this isn't below their playgrade <like not to diss the teachers because I love them and I know it's mostly due to plot, but come on. Not a single teacher/adult in this acted as an adult (a responsible one) would act, and before you say it's a magic world and things are different—yeah but for the most part people act roughly the same and they have a lot of the same things we do and s lot of the same general beliefs and ways things are handled. All of these students are considered children. All of them have parents (for the most part) that are paying tuition and room and board. And you teachers are just gonna be like yep. We have a new student now. Welcome. Your first essay is do last night. Oops now your work is late.

Anyway so we basically b to back to helping malleus out, perhaps with the help of our good friends among the cast, and together with help from Leona and Vil and Jamil and others, they are able to cover more ground and about a week from graduation for the 3rd years, Intel comes back and Vil is pretty sure they found a gargoyle would most likely be the correct "age and species" of malleus's father.

Turns out it is and so with everyone except Crowley, and Sam, helps to get his dad transferred to NRC. And ofc, he is placed on the rooftop ledge of Ramshackle and Malleus gets to meet with his father often.

♡ ruggie appreciates your help A LOT, but he always gets so confused when you suddenly go "oh, let me help you with this!" like it's okay, y/n, he can do it himself, he knows how to do it, trust him. and also it just feels so.. unusual to him? he's used to always being the one doing everything for others or just leona, so when you say that he doesn't have to do this alone and that you'll always be there if he needs help.. he just laughs it off and says that he's gonna be fine, but you can clearly see him blush just a tiny bit after hearing those words from you.

♡ you try to help him even if you don't know what exactly you have to do, you just hope that this way ruggie will get more free time and he won't have to overwork himself. and if ruggie liked to say how much leona annoys him and that he's sick of doing everything for him in the past.. now he tries to assure you that he's okay and he can do everything himself, you know what, he actually likes being an errand boy! but you know that it's not true and that he just doesn't know how to feel about you trying to be helpful.

♡ so you try to make ruggie understand that he deserves your love and support and that you're not helping him because you think he's weak or anything like that, you just don't want to see him suffer and you don't want him to feel tired all the time. you just care about him and that's all! it takes a while for him to get used to it, but when he does, he is so grateful for your help. when you two are done with a task, ruggie gives you a kiss and thanks you for everything. also leona doesn't care about you helping ruggie, he just wants someone to do his laundry, he doesn't care who.

♡ at first jamil is even kinda angry at you, not because he hates you for doing this but simply because he's worried. he doesn't want you to overwork yourself, you already have to go through so much because of your duties as a prefect, all the overblots and other things. but when you assure him that you're okay and you're doing this because you want to and not because it's your responsibility, jamil reluctantly agrees to let you help him. and when you get something right and you smile at jamil, he remembers that your kindness was one of the many reasons he fell in love with you.

♡ when you first try to help him with something, it sure is a surprise to him, but he doesn't mind it at all. he simply smiles, thanks you and doesn't think too much of it. that's just you being your amazing self as usual. but then you start doing it more and more often. he still thinks it's cute at first, but then he starts to get kinda nervous. what is going on, y/n, did something happen? do you think he's mad at you because of something and you're trying to make him forgive you? is it because he can be quite strict at times, so you're trying to make him act nicer? he can't thank you enough for everything you do for him, but he really doesn't understand why you're trying to be so helpful.

♡ vil starts to get why you're doing this and it does warm his heart, but still, he wants you to know that you don't have to try and help him so often. yes, he has to do a lot, but that's just how this kind of business works. and he wouldn't trade it for anything, so even if he sometimes has not the best moments, it's only natural to get tired, it's not the end of the world if he does feel like that. so you don't have to worry about him, he really is doing fine. though he does tease you and says that you've been helping him so much probably because you wanted vil to thank you and kiss you more often. and if you did have that in mind, you don't have to worry, he will do it even if you forget to help him with something.

Night Raven Quest but make that TTRPG, baby (ft. The Overblots)

Riddle doesn't really understand the whole roleplaying thing at first but surprisingly enjoys the whole dungeon exploring and puzzle solving. He'd be a Human, pretty basic, I know. And a boy scout like him would be a Paladin with very strict moral code and is very stubborn about it. His stubbornness and temper sometimes causes conflict on the table but he'll work on that. Most of the time it's not even him starting the conflict, but rather some people (Azul) getting on his nerves and causing his anger to explode. This boy seriously needs to learn to cut himself and others some slack and have fun like a normal goddamn teenager.

Leona is the type of mf who makes a hard-boiled character with serious fucked up backstory but gave them a goofy ahh name no one can keep a straight face calling him that. His character would be a war veteran Dwarf Cleric named Angus Schmungus or something. And you know what? That's probably not even his real name. His character name, background, affiliation, etc. is between him and god (the DM). And if anyone asks him about his background and/or motivations he'd just give different outlandish story every time like that one ex-convict dude from Ratatouille, neither confirming or denying the credibility of the story.

Azul would try to cheat, so they'd need a dice tower. They'd also need to check his dice before every campaign (can't be too careful with this slimy mf). During his character creation process, he prioritize stats like Charisma, Intelligence, etc. He plays a Bard and a Tiefling for that extra +2 Charisma and +1 Intelligence. Though when I said a bard, he's more like a...conman of some sorts (though he wouldn't call himself that). He'd Mansplain, Manipulate and sometimes Manwhore (should the situation call for it) his way into and out of situations.

I genuinely feel like Jamil would be a Yuan-Ti Warlock. I know how obvious and on-the-nose this is but idk it just feels right. He'd make very calculated decisions even if Lady Luck isn't on his side all the time. He'd also be the one who always take one for the team whenever one of them need to make a skill check, even if his stats doesn't seem to be the highest. He doesn't seem to be fazed by any trials that come his way and generally keeps his cool, unlike some people in this table. That is, until the DM puts down a giant enemy spider mini figure on the table and Jamil falls off his goddamn chair.

Vil surprisingly takes roleplaying pretty seriously? Idk I just can't see Vil half-assing acting even if it's only for a table top roleplaying game. And who knows? Maybe he'll finally get to be the hero he always wanted to be. His only obstacle? Leona's goofy ahh character name. Anyways, his character is an High Elf who comes from a long line of powerful noble Wizards.

Idia wanted to go fully on a "stealth DPS" (whatever that means) build, so his character creation focused primarily on what stats benefits his class more, which in this case is a Rogue Artificer. He'd invest most of his stats in Dexterity and Intelligence. For the race, he'd probably be an Elf for that +2 Dexterity; or maybe a Lightfoot Halfling for the nimbleness trait, no darkvision tho; or he could be a gnome for darkvision, +2 Intelligence and +1 Dexterity. All depends on what kind of Rogue Artificer he wants to be, he'd either be a Arcane Trickster or a Phantom (oof too close to home?). Whatever he is, he's all about that "Meta".

Malleus is very unfamiliar with the whole rules, character creation, etc but he's just happy to be invited here :). His whole thought process while creating his character is probably like 'hm..a Dragonborn? Well, I am a dragon fae..". So yeah, his character is a Dragonborn Sorcerer. Kinda predictable tbh, but very... Malleus, also his solution for every problem is to cast Fireball. Yea, his character is pretty much just him but a dragon. But hey, my golden rule in DnD is that it's all about having fun, regardless of the characters.

Almost all of them would try to be the team leader, so there's gonna be a lot of fighting and arguing on the table.
