"Jesus! I'm gonna die!" Curly exclaims while holding his nose and squeezing his eyes shut and fake gaging from on the counter.

"You're so dramatic," Pony rolled his eyes, "It's not that bad." He took some of the bleach and started rubbing it onto his hair.

He's never done this before, he's never died his hair by himself. Johnny sid it last time, but he isn't here to do it anymore.

It had been eight months since everything with Johnny and Dally went down. Pony had grown increasingly closer with Curly Shepard, much to the dismay of his older brothers.

The two greaser kids had spent quite a few nights laughing at nothing and smoking a number of cigarettes that could not be good for their health.

Since Curly had only gotten out of the reformatory a few months ago, he hadn't gotten to see what Pony looked like with his bleached blonde hair. His brown, almost auburn, roots had come in and overpowered the lighter color.

It had been enough time that Pony decided he was gonna dye his hair again. It was a kind of symbolism, he thought.

The first time he dyed his hair was out of necessity, having to hide his identity from the cops or anyone near him.

Now he's doing it for the fun of it (and because Curly keeps complaining about missing his tuff hair.) (And because Curly says he'll look hot)

"I wouldn't have joined you if I knew I was gonna die from gas poisoning!" Curly yells still pinching his nose shut.

"That's a lie. You would've come just to see me without a shirt." Pony teases him, applying more bleach.

"Cant deny that." Curly smirks as he shrugs."

"You should bleach a stripe in your hair." Pony suggests suddenly, holding the bottle of dye to the older greaser.

"Fuck it, why not?" Curly jumps off of his position on the counter and grabs the bottle.

Curly takes one of the gloves from under the cabinet and puts it on. He takes some of the dye and roughly applies it to his hair.

"That was not a line." Pony almost scoffs at how poorly Curly did as he grabs the bottle back.

"Shut your trap, I'm working on it. Give me the bottle!" Curly tries to smash the bottle back but Pony holds it up high. It doesn't work, considering Curly is taller than Pony, but it was a bit of a struggle with Pony's right grip.

"I hope it gets in your eyes." Pony grumbles as he massages the bleach throughout his hair.

There's a 'wack' as Curly hits Pony with his glove and when Pony retaliates with a kick to the shin, Curly's swears could be heard a mile away.

Hobby to try: ok so like. I'm gonna be honest even tho this is a deeply held secret lol. I wanna write fanfiction TT I'm a writer in so many other areas and I really wanna write fanfiction. There's this little voice in my head saying I'm not good enough since I've never been taught how to do creative writing. But no one's good enough without trying so it's my (absolutely terrifying) goal to write it sometime. Fuck you negative self talk.

outfit ramblings:

first of all that is a Terrible rendition of what Home looks like in my head. i just needed to fill empty space </3

the staff was the toughest part honestly. bc it Had to be paintbrush-themed, but then halfway through scribbling i was like "oh shit. there are only so many ways to draw a paintbrush-wizard-staff and Weevmo already hit it out of the park." so if you're seeing similarities! you're right! i tried to make it as different as i could! there is Inspiration from their marvelous design, however accidental or subconscious! Apologies!

he gets a pointed hood instead of a hat because a) it looks great on him! and b) it has less of a chance of messing up his hair! also c) it helps muddle the difference between Wizard and Warlock. typically hoods have evil/duplicitous connotation - blur the lines! i want his long gloves and forearm wraps to have the same vibe. his neckerchief is a big help in hiding Home's seal!

his layered (loosely apple-themed) capelet (which the hood is attached to) has a nice high collar & hides the details of his loose shirt - eye embroidery! and some flowers on the shoulders but yk, mostly eyes. on one side of the shirt buttons has open eyes, the other side they're closed! there's also one big eye on his back!

his belt buckle is two halves of an apple! he wears tall thigh-high boots w/ low heels to feel Taller! he has a book-holster hooked to the back of his belt, which holds his grimoire! and he has a lil thigh-bag that has been magicked to be Bottomless and warps size! he can fit pretty much anything in there! canvases! paint! apples!

his half-skirt thing (idk what the word for it is!) is really plush, like a quilt - his capelet is the same fabric. soft, cozy. sometimes he'll use the skirt thing as a blanket in a pinch, or as a picnic placemat!

is his outfit a little Complicated? is it annoying to replicate? yes and yes. but im a maximalist at heart and Nothing But The Best for the blorbo <3 layers my beloved <3

I can't find it now but there's a post about suspension of disbelief and how it's broken when the story starts trying to excuse it. "character gets knocked unconscious for hours but there's no further issues from this" okay 👍 "and actually this makes perfect sense because of this and that" um no it doesn't why are you lying to me. like i am willing to ignore the holes and the discrepancies!! all you need to do is let me and not bring unnecessary attention to it!!!

and all that is my issue with the whole robin child soldier argument. like i am willing to ignore it i am willing to engage with the fantasy literally all you need to do is NOT try to convince me that Actually It's Fine Because They Want To Do It or whatever. like literally just shut up about it and i can engage with the fantasy!!

@robstarblog @robstaryeah pinging yall just in case so that this doesn't get lost in oblivion (It'd be painful since I worked 5 hours non stop on it lol)

I think the most time was taken by the final panel and adding in the finishing touches since I pretty much had to change everything to the pixel level, quite literally lol (I'm serious, I did)

Welp I hope the results were worth it! And with that, another one gets a good ending!!

I kinda didn't add sleeves in the first two panels of the final page because it didn't look good and looked janky with how I was editing it so yeah please ignore that-
