if a bingqiu hater puts the blame on any weirdness in their relationship solely on binghe you KNOW they can't read. this is a freak4freak relationship okay. sqq is the guy that got offended and sulky because binghe DIDN'T hen-peck him into cuddling. he openly admits to loving the tearful lamb act. he likes having a clingy needy girlfriend he has to reassure constantly. he got so horny watching his husband pour qi into his dead body that he woke up and immediately pounced on him and fucked him straight into a qi deviation. when he heard the rumor that binghe raped him his internal argument was that this could never happen because if binghe wanted to have sex with you, you would just let him, so it's not rape. he's literally insane. they're perfect for each other in the sense that they're both bugfuck crazy.

Why do I keep seeing transmascs and trans men insisting or implying that all trans men are "female socialized," or "understand the female experience," or "navigated the world as a woman." Because yeah, sure, that can be true for some people. especially if you weren't gnc at all as a kid and didn't crack your egg until well into adulthood, it makes sense.
But they don't stop at saying they had that experience. It always comes with an addendum that trans men, as a group, all can relate to this experience. I don't know about the entirety of my demographic, but I never got even a little bit of what some of them talk about. I didn't even believe that women were scared of going out at night until I kept consistently seeing them say it, online or wherever, for years. I never realized catcalling was a thing until I saw some women complaining about it on reddit.
But they posit it as some sort of, you're safer than cis men, right? You know what it's like? Which, on top of being patently, demonstrably false in the case of myself and many other trans men, holds some unpleasant and often outright hostile implications about trans women. And they always deny it, but if you can't even conceptualize someone like me who grew up gnc, and never got the bulk (or any?) of whatever we consider to be 'female socialization,' what does that say about what you think trans girls went through, growing up? I don't want to speak for them, as I've never experienced that firsthand, but I can guarantee that (if you're even a little bit obviously trans) people don't treat you like a cis kid of the opposite gender. By and large, they don't get treated like cis boys.
It just makes me mad that we're taking this inaccurate framework that (ever so conveniently) puts trans people into the box of our assumed birth gender, and trying to fancy it up and use it with a faux-progressive veneer; never mind the way that transphobes use it to bar trans women from being athletes, or using the bathroom, or having access to any gendered resources they need. It would be bad enough to try and dust it off and use it even if it were largely accurate, due to the aforementioned connections to outright transphobia, but it literally is patently false. Not in all cases, obviously, but why are we trying to revamp this untrue, inaccurate generalization and pretend that we can make it 'trans-inclusive?'

beyond just revealing your politics are only for show, saying "lol you get what you deserve for not voting blue" in reference to hurricane damage in the US makes absolutely no sense. democrats haven't even introduced an environmental policy that could've prevented this--or realistically prevented anything, really. you want to know why? these "progressive" climate policies proposed by the imperial core are not focused on pollution outsourcing. what they're doing is the equivalent of shoving a mess under the bed and saying the room is clean--quite a common "solution" under capitalism. the pollution is still there. it's still drastically increasing. it's just been shoved further away from home. doing research on the topic i've found even a conservative think tank (highly reluctantly) concluded pollution outsourcing exists. however, no matter how much you "mitigate pollution" through economic imperialism, the impacts of climate change are universal. policy can discriminate, but global climate change won't.

My recipe is for blackberry-frangipane tart, though I'm sure it could work with other fruit! (note: I tried with plums and found that the texture wasn't right, so maybe not with very juicy fruit)
For the frangipane filling, whisk in a bowl: white sugar (100g), melted butter (40g), almond powder (125g), and 2 eggs. If it looks a bit grainy rather than smooth that's normal. Spread it over whichever kind of crust you usually use for fruit tart (not sure what the English equivalent of pĆ¢te sablĆ©e is but that's the one I use)
Add your blackberries over it, enough to more or less cover the tart but only in one layer (you don't want to smother your frangipane). If you use frozen blackberries, do not unfreeze them before! It'll make the tart too watery.
Put in the oven for 20 to 40min at 180Ā°C (depends on how powerful your oven is, but until the frangipane looks golden all over)

Bon appƩtit :) It's my favourite fruit tart!

Ohhh, I'm rereading Mystra's entry in the Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide... and this detail:
Tumblr media
This means Gale was punished for trying to restore and preserve what he thought was a lost piece of Mystra's magic. Gale being Mystra's ex-lover put aside. He as her follower, she his goddess, was punished for attempting to do the one foundational rule of her faith.
I'm seething and so sad at the same time.
Edit: I used the word punish loosely, as in, toxic/abusive people will take any small mistake or action and twist it into something they can take advantage of. This post was also largely from the stand point of a toxic deity rather than a toxic partner, but both takes are valid here. Especially with the, ā€œyou didnā€™t stay compliant so now Iā€™m giving you the silent treatmentā€ part of itā€”from a god and a partner perspective.

cw: sorry for writing more bedroom shenanigans, it will happen again. unbeta'd, all mistakes are mine. probably some scientific inaccuracies, except for the inertia bits, that i understand. established relationship things and some light swearing. it's all lighthearted šŸ˜‡
who needs morning alarms when you're partners with naga!jamil?
the first thing to wake you up is the cold press of his scales against your skin. which is the beginning of the end, sad to say. being part-reptile, of course his instincts bring him to search for the closest heat source. as the warm-blooded one in the relationship, you will make do.
which leads to your current predicament - not the comforting feeling of sleeping in his arms, the upper body situation is all fine and dandy on this side, you like the fabric of his sweater, you (both) deeply crave this kind of skinship, it's all good up here! - his coils are twined around your legs, heavy enough to pin you in place, leaving you vulnerable to the cold of the room. as your eyes crack open, what greets you is the dim blue glow of dawn. of course.
in this world of magic, you'd think they'd have created a kind of blanket that doesn't become utterly useless after several hours of shifting in one's sleep. with your limited movement, you manage to free one arm.
"jamil." you shake his shoulder.
"hmm?"
"can you get up, please? i need to shut off the ac."
to your dismay, he makes a vague sound of protest, curls his arms more protectively around you.
"jamil." he can't seriously be going back to sleep.
"it's still early, and you're all nice and warm..." and wasn't that the twisted miracle of this situation? the fact that you woke up before his alarms?
his languidness has got to be a joke. you've seen him move quicker than a bullet. snakes can haul ass when the situation calls for it. you weigh your options, you could yell 'spider' and risk the consequences of a freshly-awoken-and-panicking jamil.
or you could just freeze. who needs legs? who needs to move? the way his fingers idly stroked against the flesh of your stomach was nice and comforting -
"bullshit, you're also freezing...!" he just liked to see you struggle, didn't he? you try kicking your legs in a last bid to free yourself only for his coils to shift and properly entrap you in their grip.
oh that was unfair, being comprised of mostly muscle and having quick reflexes even when half-asleep. damned naga anatomy.
you heave an exasperated sigh through your nose, not even bothering to hide your annoyance.
jamil's breath fans across the back of your neck. "didn't you want to spend more time together like this?" he asks, faux-dejection creeping into his voice.
the skin of your nape erupts in a flurry of goosebumps, definitely not from the cold. you feel like you're burning, and you're not sure if that's a good thing.
so you decide to roll off the bed and take him down with you.
tagging my fellow jamilnatics: @viperwhispered @twstgo @crystallizsch @jessamine-rose @just-a-little-silly
(if any yall wanna be tagged for future jamil writing, just lmk through the replies. i know in my bones he will strike again)

something people just donā€™t think about is how often chronically ill and disabled people just donā€™t have access to good food. not healthy food, good food; well made, tasty meals that donā€™t come from a jar or a freezer. how many of us are housebound or canā€™t drive? delivery services only offer within certain distances, if you live outside a city they arenā€™t an option. many people donā€™t have the energy or ability to cook for themselves if they have the skill to begin with. many certainly donā€™t have the ability to learn how. itā€™s something that goes completely unnoticed, just the opportunity to have a good meal and how much that wears you down
