Too much of a breadwinner for tradition, but too traditional to be considered a true breadwinner.

What exactly is my place in this world? A question we start asking ourselves in our teenage years but usually people have an answer by now. And still, I have no clue.

I know I feel comfort in the more traditional role. I really enjoy cooking and cleaning and doing all things domestic for my son and for my man when I have one in my life.

However, I also enjoy being able to earn and contribute to society, to be a part of a community. There are things I'm passionate about, things I want to do.

What is my place? Aside from the home of course. Hoping to get it figured out at some point. More thoughts later.

i am so absolutely utterly scared that my insane grandfather in his 80s who runs miles every morning is going to leave me a bird in his will and i am especially scared he is going to leave me a large cockatoo named "captain hook". hook has been trying to make me his child bride since i was like 6 years old and every time i see him again which has only been a couple times with decades in between hook is like "you. it's always been you. ever since you were born i've known we were meant to be" captain hook you are a bird and i am a LESBIAN and i don't WANT an eternal sentinel captain HOOK!!!!!!!

There's something hilarious about how so much subsequent media has positioned Vampires and Werewolves as, like, binary opposite entities, and then you read Dracula (1897) and realize that wolves are that guy's preferred solution to every problem. You'd say something to Dracula about "ah yes, werewolves, vampires' great eternal enemies," and he'd just be like "you mean my subcontractors?"
