Denmark Work Placement
Hey guys, good news! I've been mentioned on this blog post at http://idlimited.co.uk/denmark-work-placement in relation to my recent European Work Placement over at ID's European Partner, Hvidovre Production School, in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The photo on there includes a selection of the ID Staff and Students who were selected to go onto the trip. Although, the airport securities were tough (with absolutely no love at all), the ID Staff kept us all calm and happy.
I've been in hospital and recovered quickly. However, for what I have experience while being in Denmark is something I'm truly not going to forget; not ever.
I'm very proud and glad to be at ID and for what I have experienced so far, my life's journal is just yet to be written.

Late Night quick thing (New Age Sillies)
Bad news: That joke post about including Reset + Orchid is definitely not canon. (I legit got sad thinking about Reset being in a universe where Orchid isn't- because their stories are so so intertwined- but Nightmare 100% would NOT risk the whole twins exploding Error's soul thing.)
Good news: This means I COULD include Kane (Reset's older brother who usually dies in timelines where Reset is born) and use it to develope his character a bit more! Also! Perhaps a Blue × Dream kiddo is finally in the stars for me to design?
#new age au#really enjoying the idea of Reaper + Geno having an heir at some point (and them sending that heir over to Night's kingdom for#exposure to other places as well as to hang with his third cool knight dad who's hard at work 🙏)#Kane has little to no development besides being a perfect angel (foil to Reset's eventual turn to poor choices) so I'd love to do#to him what I do to every oc of mine. (Namely: Throw them into the Kingdom and see what they do.)#oh! and I could see Blue and Dream (beloved boys) listening to the warnings of possible complications if they try to have a lil babybones#and Dream deciding he'd take the risk and carry the growing soul#(<- though tbf this is MANY years into the future and they'd be well established knights of the realm)#i'm not evil so they *would* manage to avoid the twins curse and have a singular beautiful babybones#they'd get raised partially on the move but stay behind with Night and Error if the two had a more dangerous mission#and grow up to be an obnoxiously powerful warrior following after their dads#(but they'd probably be hesitant to follow into the footsteps of being a knight and might go on a quest with friends before choosing a#final path for themselves)#<- Most spoiled rotten kid ever. courtesy of Nightmare and Error and all their extended family <3#oh last note. Ancha has me cracking up w/ ideas for Cross potentially meeting someone and I was beamed w/ an old ship request post I saw and#I think it'd be funny to include Lust in here somehow... (probably call him smth else as a nickname but y'know-)#like. He works in the city around the castle as some sort of... idk tailor? and he's been making things for Nightmare for years without#knowing because Ccino always was discreet about the orders and providing measurements + always tipped well so it was none of his business#but one day it's like. before a big announcement ceremony or smth and Ccino drags Cross in by the scruff because no one can get him to get#clothes that actually fit aside from armor (hc he steals the others clothes a lot and wears 1 shirt until it's threadbare)#so Ccino makes him go to Lust and Lust is able to get him fitted for sone new outfits because. well. Lust doesn't do much but he's very very#handsome and Cross is super easily flustered and shy around new people and he's awkward and aughhh.#and then he thinks about the interaction for the next month before deciding he's going to ask Ccino to go back there again.#and Lust likes dressing Cross up in new outfits (everyone thinks it's great Cross is loosening up and meeting new friends cuz Lust introduce#s him to people in town) and it takes forever for Cross to get over his worries and ask Lust out to a ride on his horse (romantic. of course#) and Lust agrees because he's charmed.#and the best part would be Cross *actually* manages to keep it a secret. like. no one finds out until one morning Killer bursts into Cross'#room to wake him for surprise training and it's Cross. the weird Dog. and- holy shit did Cross have someone over???#Cross pulls the cool ones frfr 🙏#it's just a casual thing between them with little plot relevance or drama I think. just a chill lil relationship 🙏

I know 'person with secret to hide spots other person with secret to hide but doesn't say anything' is like. Thee trope in superhero crossovers, but come on! Some of these guys have been doing this for decades! There's tons of heroes that have gone to pretty extreme lengths to be Completely Imperceptible in civilian life.
Don't you think it's scarier, after all is said and done, to sit there and think I didn't notice a thing? I wouldn't have ever realised? I would never have known? To know that someone you were familiar with - close with, even! - had this whole other personality and skillset and powers and experiences and life just behind the curtain, and they hid it so completely you didn't even see it was there.
'I always knew there was something off' what if you didn't. How world shaking would it be to be so utterly blindsided? To know that this person had somehow learned to so deceptive?
#Strongly inspired by the dp x dc where Danny knows what up IMMEDIATELY or a bat clocks Danny as super suspicious within mins of meeting#Or the amount of reveal fics caused by the hero slipping up in some stupid way and getting themselves doxxed against their will#Like come on!! Full time heroes like superman or batman or Spidey go to great lengths to construct an entirely separate civilian persona!#And yes I know they've had their idiot moments when it comes to their identities but they've kept their secret rock solid for irl DECADES#What's an identity reveal without drama!! Shake it up! Stir the pot! Not a slow and gradual build up of suspicion and stress#But two high speed trains coming at right-angles and the audience is the only one who can see the incoming crash#Twist the knife in if you want. Make it HURT. Make it completely rewrite what they believed.#Short ID reveals are great for this because you can SEE the ripple effects spreading out as the story ends. Just BANG.#But also no ID reveal at all. The main character goes through the story regularly interacting with and developing character right alongside#A hero in hiding and no one is ever the wiser. You're a worker in WE fending off attempts to steal your inventions and Bruce Wayne#Invites you to his office to discuss security and he walks you back to your office when you get nervous about a break in.#You're struggling with school bullies and getting into trouble over your photography hobby and Peter Parker is right there alongside#You complaining about rich kids and fiddling with the outdated finicky lenses you got from the school.#You're a reporter unpicking a mystery scandal and you ask resident tank Clark Kent if he's able to play bodyguard if you go somewhere shady#The reader knows. No one else notices a thing.#And besides focusing on the civilian side is a nice change of pace! Let's see how they manage leading double lives!#What do I even tag this#batman#superman#Marvel#Dcu#spiderman#secret identity#identity reveal#long tags#captain marvel#miraculous ladybug#I know I know#hero and villain

y’know, I feel like the aro community is one of the only places I can talk about having queer attraction to men without it constantly being the butt of a joke.
I find it interesting that, while the broad a-spec community jokes about the concept of attraction, the majority of takes I see that poke fun at attraction are systemic rather than individual. I do see the takes on "I don't understand why someone would be attracted to xyz person", usually if the relationship is unhealthy, which I have many thoughts on (notably: please read any resource ever on helping people experiencing abuse), but...
I can say "yeah, I find men attractive in some form. sometimes sexual, sometimes in a way where all I know is that it isn't romantic", and I don't have to brace for a litany of "ew, you like men? rip, f in the chat" and similar sentiments. I've experienced more than a few explicitly queer irl spaces where queer attraction to men must be qualified with a statement about how it's terrible, actually because men are terrible, and it's exhausting. I just want to talk about being queer with other queer people without feeling like i'm walking through a minefield of useless radfem rhetoric that portrays all men as inherently, intrinsically "bad", and my attraction to them as low-key problematic (and honestly, the homophobic history of that... is immense).
I'm not going anywhere too specific with this, but it's just... interesting. i'm not sure if this is something where I've curated my experience with aros online to avoid that nonsense in ways I can't do irl, or if it's an actual phenomena. i just know that i'm far from the only irl queer person I know who experiences attraction to men and feels like we're expected to self-deprecate about it or be told we're ruining others' fun.
#aro#aromantic#actually aro#actually aromantic#feel free to discuss or ask questions#but please know this is mostly stream of consciousness and not a developed train of thought#tone tags appreciated if u have questions#bcs i mentioned the transphobes and i promise you they do haunt that search enough that i expect#that this is going to be a post i have to block them for interacting with#because staying in their own transphobic and terrible lane isnt enough for them#and i'll be cautiously defensive while reading any replies so tone tags will help me better interpret sincerity

wait Eve fey thought….
#Lissi talk tag#what if. What if#Instead of being able to spirit channel. She could see ghosts. maybe only if she knew them when they were alive#So Clay. Mia.#I think that would make more sense story wise.#Maybe.#She’s like still a fey. she just doesn’t have the powers the others do#Sorry if this makes no sense I am insanely tired#But like. idk if this is in the games but I know the anime talks about the ‘main’ fey family and the ‘branch’ families#Eve is. From the branch of a branch family. Who doesn’t care about this stuff.#But cause she didn’t train her medium powers when she was very young they developed differently or something#So she can’t channel. But she can interact with ghosts she knew when they were alive#Debating whether she should learn to channel like when she gets even older. maybe maybe not

in my hc the noble houses of menzoberranzan operate similarly to the houses in ice and fire where they’re constantly feuding with each other but instead of trying to take the throne/control of the whole realm they’re all fighting for lolth’s favour instead. and because they can’t outright declare war on each other (forgot the reason for why they can’t exactly do that but iirc lolth doesn’t like it?? she loves the drama I guess) and if they rise too quickly lolth casts them down so they have to be cunning about it. not to mention if they stay too long in power and do nothing about it that also displeases the spider queen so the nobility’s game of intrigue is constantly moving and working both for self gain and for self preservation.
shri’iia also plays the game but more of a pawn than a player. she’s not born from any noble house (she’s actually a commoner). the only reason why she has any foot in the game is that she’s taken in by the matriarch of faen tlabbar - one of the houses who fervently worships lolth to the point of zealotry - when they’ve heard word that she—a commoner—have managed to succeed lolth’s trials and gained her blessing. lolth blessings are rare to come and making someone a paladin is even more rare so for a zealot house, that’s a a sign they can’t pass up. so, the house matriarch takes her in and keeps in a tower where she’s supposed to pray and train to lolth day and night. the paladin oath that shri’iia swears is both for lolth and her matriarch; she swears to punish the enemies of her mistresses and forever keep her loyalty to them. her matriarch’s word is an extension to lolth’s will, so to disobey her will be disobeying lolth herself.
and ofc shri’iia being born poor with everything to give and nothing to lose, who thought that there is more to her life than a merchant’s daughter, to be known by the goddess she worship and noticed by one of the most influential houses in the city, swears herself to that oath. she never regretted that choice not even when she’s kept in that tower in complete isolation with her matriarch being the only person she could interact with.
#shri’iia’s backstory to me is like og fairy tale of rapunzel but instead of the witch raising her to be a daughter#the witch raised her to be a very well trained guard dog instead#see I’m just thinking; in a setting where subterfuge is key and the truth is what people is made to believe instead of the actual#factual truth .. the fact that you have a person that no one knows about and is unquestioningly loyal to you that is like your biggest#asset. since she can do everything for you and leave without a trace and no one can link it back to you nor accuse you of being the one#responsible. like in ice and fire she’d be the equivalent of varys’ little birds but she’s only one person lol#anyway does shri’iia develop a toxic codependent relationship with her matriarch? ofc she does#shes trapped in that tower for 100+ years and that’s the only person#not to mention constant isolation can fuck up your mind so ofc she gets obsessed with her. and her matriarch KEEPS her obsessed esp in a#city where you’re not supposed to trust anyone .. her matriarch says that shri’iia is the only person she trusts so ofc she’ll feel special#and this is also why she feels so out of place and paranoid in act 1 events where she gets kidnapped and dropped off on the surface#bc not only that’s her first time being in the surface she also hasn’t gone outside nor interacted with anyone in a long time#and her choice of being compliant and following instead of asserting her own dominance and being a general menace as expected for lolth’s#followers is a survival tactic since she literally doesn’t know what to do or how to go home#and that’s the first choice she had made for herself in so fucking long and that’s what also leads her to her oath breaking#= which is being free from lolth’s dogma and her mistress essentially#anyway I have more thoughts abt this but I’m like … it makes sense.. TO ME ..!

Enemyship ended with Rian Johnson. Dave Filoni is my new worst enemy
#god. ahsoka was so bad#there were good concepts okay? I’m actually down for force sensitive Sabine#I’ve always thought ‘everyone can use the force some people are more talented than others and people interact with it in different ways’#(even though Finn’s force affinity is particularly important to me)#but god. the pacing? the worldbuilding? the Contact Lenses?#the way they introduced four distinct Antagonist Factions and didn’t meaningfully develop any of them?#the way it took the entire series to actually give an in-text explanation as to why the established characters are acting ooc#everything about it. if you had told me a few years ago there’d be a tcw/rebels sequel about ahsoka training Sabine to be a Jedi and rescue#Ezra featuring elements I felt should have been included in the ST? I’d have died of happiness on the spot. but it sucked#also this is a joke post RJ will be my enemy until he publicly apologizes to John Boyega#Star Wars#ahsoka

ID Training European Work Placement & Holiday 2013
1st Day (Fri 25th October 2013): I arrived outside of Copenhagen Airport, cold, wet and waiting; itching to get into bed. Tired, excited... I waited as a taxi pulled up.
2nd Day (Sat 26th October 2013): We went to Tivoli Gardens, which was so beautifully decorated with lots of Halloween-themed designs and pumpkins. The rides were so cool, some rides were just as old as the themepark itself and the restaurants are expensive. Such a nice experience. At the end of the day, we went to Cafe Phoenix for a meal out. I ordered a burger and chips with a glass of Coca-Cola.
3rd Day (Sun 27th October 2013): We went on a sight-seeing tour around Copenhagen before we had lunch at an Italian Restaurant in Nyhavn (New Harbour). After lunch, we finished the rest of the tour before heading off to Rosenborg Castle to see the Crown Jewels, it's history, it's art and it's exhibitions. It was a fantastic day out which was such a lovely and warm experience.
4th Day (Mon 28th October 2013): We started our workshops today. My job was Painter/Decorator for ICON22 at 1 Filmbyen, Hvidovre, Kobnhavn, Danmark., same location is the hostel and other workshops are located, all of which are within easy walking distance. Apparently, I'll be painting the new building inside so that the production school can move in. We hope they like what we have painted. After sometime, we had lunch at Cafe Bataillionen, which is part of the same group who owns ICON22 -- Hvidovre Produktionsschole, which also owns the D'Kreativ Haus, Mediahaus, Filmbyen, ICON22, Cafe Bataillionen and other groups. After lunch, we all headed back to our workshops and then at the end of the day, we headed back to the hostel to have a meal in and then off to bed.
5th Day (Tues 29th October 2013): We continued our workshops today. Mine is Painting/Decorating at ICON22. We all had lunch again at Cafe Bataillionen, then we continued our workshops after lunch. At the end of the day, we all headed back to the hostel to get ourselves ready for our meal out at Pederoxe, which has waiters and waitresses dressed in old clothing which reminds me of when I went to Beamish Museum. I honestly can't remember what I ordered for dinner and desert but all I do remember is enjoying the meals.
6th Day (Wed 30th October 2013): We went to Den Bla Planet, which is Denmark's National Aquarium, which has just been built. We all saw wild and exotic animals, which fasinates me since I have a keen interest in science and nature. Once we got back to the hostel, we all had a meal in and just relaxed for the rest of the evening before heading off to bed.
7th Day (Thurs 31st October 2013): We continued our workshops today. Mine is Painting/Decorating at ICON22. We all had lunch again at Cafe Bataillionen, then we continued our workshops after lunch. At the end of the day, we all headed back to the hostel to get ourselves ready for our meal out at Hard Rock Cafe Copenhagen to celebrate Eleanor's 26th Birthday today, who happens to be another member of our college on the same work experience/holiday. The Hard Rock Cafe Copenhagen was full of cool guitars, rock memorabila and other amazing music features. I had a Red, White & Blue Burger (I like when it's "Well Done") with a Carlsberg Pilsner (Small) and for desert I had a Chocolate Thick Shakes Ice Cream. I really enjoyed my meal.
8th Day (Fri 1st November 2013): We continued our workshops today. Mine is Painting/Decorating at ICON22. We all had lunch again at Cafe Bataillionen, then we continued our workshops after lunch. At the end of the day, we al had our dinner at the hostel.
9th Day (Sat 2nd November 2013): We were all about to head off to Copenhagen Zoo today when I took a turn and fell down to the ground, vomitting and feeling extremely dizzy and cold. Luckily, staff from our college was there to help me out as well as local Copenhagen residents passing by who stopped by to provide me with a blanket, and a chair from a nearby alotment all before the ambulance turned up to drop me off at Hvidovre Hospital. A completely different sight to Copenhagen. Feeling much better now, I'll be resting up tomorrow while everyone else enjoys their fun at the zoo.
10th Day (Sun 3rd November 2013): While I'm resting today in the hostel with Adam, a member of staff from ID Training, our college, we decided to watch a James Bond film which was Die Another Day, which I really enjoy watching as I already have it in my own collection at home in Newcastle in England. While everyone went off to enjoy their day at the zoo, I was filling in my paperwork that everyone else will be doing when they return, then me and Adam had a wonderful Tomato Soup for lunch and then I had a 1 hour sleep afterwards. Everyone returned from their day out at the zoo and my friends brought me gifts which has placed a wonderful smile on my face and hugely warm thanks to everyone who gave me such gifts. We all had a dinner in the hostel which was something we ordered over the phone, which was Pizza and Chips with tons of Pizza, Chips and fizzy pop.
11th Day (Mon 4th November 2013): We continued our workshops today, except I decided to have a change in workshop and decided to try my hand at Design instead at D'Kreativ Haus. Me, Val (member of staff at ID Training), Georgia (member of staff at ID Training), Emma V, Emma P & Eleanor were all doing Design. We designed our own designs on already cutout 3D Letters such as A's, B's, C's and I picked the letter J since it is my dad's initial for his first name, which is Jason. I cut out pieces of things I like from pages in magazines and then we all had lunch at Cafe Bataillionen. Every lunch I had a wonderfully fresh piece of Cod without batter and sometimes with the odd bone or two, so it was extremely fresh as I could still taste the water on the scales. After lunch, we continued with our workshops. At the end of the day, we all headed back to the hostel to get ourselves ready for our meal out at Cafe Phoenix for dinner.
12th Day (Tues 5th November 2013): We continued our workshops today, Mine is Designing at Hvidovre D'Kreativ Haus. I placed varnish on my letter J, then I created a piece of artwork on a large blank A3 piece of paper and then converted my artwork to Photoshop Pro before heading off for lunch at Cafe Bataillionen. I had a lovely fresh piece of Cod again for lunch. After lunch, we all continued with our workshops. At the end of the day, we all headed back to the hostel to get ourselves ready for our meal out. We all went to Riz Raz for dinner and I ordered a Fish Fillet (Kids Portion) with a large cup of Hot Chocolate. Afterwards, we all headed back to the hostel and then to bed.
13th Day (Wed 6th November 2013): We went on a trip by train from Copenhagen Central Station (CPH-C) to a chocolate factory in Malmo, Sweden, across the main bridge that expands between Copenhagen, Denmark. & Malmo, Sweden. The train pulled into Malmo Central Station and then we walked around Malmo and explored the city. I saw a funny message on a shop window which said "Andy kissed Peter kissed Mary kissed Andy.", which is funny as it really doesn't make much sense. I was desperate to go for a wee and we saw this Public Toilet center in the main square and the inside of the center, it looked like an Apple iPad! Was very futuristic, all I wanted to do was go for a wee. Afterwards, we had lunch at Cafe Marx or something and then we headed off to the chocolate factory. By the time we turned up, I was almost tired but still extremely excited after all that long walking. The chocolate factory is called Malmo Chokladfabrik. We all had a fun day out in Malmo, Sweden. Afterwards, we headed back to Copenhagen.
14th Day (Thurs 7th November 2013): We finished off our last day at Hvidovre Produktionschole before we all had lunch at Cafe Bataillionen. After lunch, we had cakes, buffet food and gifts from the production school for all our hard work. At the end of the day, we all headed back to the hostel to get ready for our meal out at Hereford Beefstrow. I ordered a Lamb Hot Pot and a large pint of Coca-Cola. It was a lovely meal out. Afterwards, we headed to the Hard Rock Cafe Copenhagen giftshop to buy gifts for ourselves or our loved ones back in England before we headed off back to the hostel for the rest of the evening.
15th Day (Fri 8th November 2013): We all went to the Carlsberg Glyphotek Museum in Copenhagen and it took all morning. We all headed off back to the hostel to sort our bags out and to head off to Copenhagen Airport. We checked in, we had lunch at departure lounges before boarding our flight, then we ended up Amsterdam Airport and then finally, back at Newcastle International Airport, where my mum and dad were both waiting to great me with open arms upon my arrival. Over all, I enjoyed my experience with friends, college staff, meeting new people and going to wonderful places. Was well worth my time.

#(ramblings in tags. dont read if u dont wanna see criticism of female character writing in naruto)#(i think im pretty chill but it's still negativity so look away if u dont wanna see this)#my hot take (?) is that the naruto author is 100% a misogynist and that HAS to factor into your analysis of his female characters#im only getting thru the anime in increments bc the way theyre written is so frustrating#and fandom discourse surrounding them isnt great either#(i already know the gist of how it ends bc the ending is infamous for being hated so idc about spoilers)#from what ive seen everyone generally knows the female chars are written terribly and arent respected by the author#but dudebros hate them for gross misogynist reasons#and in contrast fans of those female characters get so defensive that they loop right back around to being misogynist#idk how to explain it but its odd seeing fans say “its empowering actually!” for the female chars to end up in miserable marriages#with less combat involvement than the male chars despite taking up the same profession/training#like yeah in a vaccum these conclusions are fine and completely neutral. but we're not in a vacuum. this was written by a male misogynist#how do i articulate that u can personally like characters w/out pretending misogyny didnt play a role in their development + conclusions#and critiquing the way female characters end up is not misogyny. its basic media analysis#like if i were to apply this to MHA i would say Midnight's death was poor writing in comparison to Nighteye's (narratively similar)#bc it supposedly was supposed to give development to the class. particularly Momo since Momo was the one she was rooting for#however hori did not bother showing more interactions between Midnight and her so it falls flat. her death even happens offscreen#and Momo wasnt there to confront the ppl who murdered her. it was Mina. so Midnight's arc wasnt completed satisfyingly#her death ends up becoming meaningless for Momo's development and purely for shock value so the war has stakes#as opposed to Nighteye and Mirio having a fleshed out relationship/backstory and a proper goodbye#there was a difference in the way the author wrote male mentorships and female ones. critiquing that is fine#now imagine if some Midnight fans went “its misogynist of you to downplay her death. she was noble and heroic and a girlboss”#it misses the point completely bc they interpret writing criticism as shade against her as a person#anyway thats what a lot of female character discourse in naruto feels like#and thats not even mentioning the cesspool of dudebro sexism but i avoid them so i dont see it as much#anyway in conclusion naruto would probably be a great series if the author wasnt a raging misogynist#sorry for the rant#my post

Crafting Effective Microlearning Content: Strategies for Success
Writing for traditional eLearning can be challenging, but writing for microlearning modules presents an even greater challenge. The short duration of microlearning requires concise, impactful content that delivers essential information effectively. The question then arises: how do you convey everything in such a limited timeframe? How much information is enough? And how do you ensure that audio, visuals, animations, and infographics all work together seamlessly to enhance the learning experience? This guide will explore these questions and provide strategies for creating effective microlearning content.
Understanding Microlearning
Microlearning involves delivering training content in small, focused bursts, typically lasting between 2 to 10 minutes. This format is designed to align with the cognitive capabilities and busy schedules of modern learners. The key benefits of microlearning include increased retention, higher engagement, and the ability to provide just-in-time training. However, to achieve these benefits, the content must be well-crafted and strategically designed.
Key Principles of Microlearning Content Development
1. Define Clear Learning Objectives
Every microlearning module should have a clear and specific learning objective. This objective will guide the content development process and ensure that the module stays focused. To define effective learning objectives:
Be Specific: Avoid broad objectives. Instead, focus on specific skills or knowledge that the learner should acquire.
Align with Goals: Ensure the objectives align with the overall training goals and the learners' needs.
Measurable Outcomes: Define how you will measure the success of the module. This could be through quizzes, practical tasks, or behavioral changes.
2. Focus on One Concept
Given the short duration of microlearning modules, it's essential to focus on a single concept or skill per module. Trying to cover too much information can overwhelm the learner and reduce the effectiveness of the training. To maintain focus:
Break Down Content: Divide larger topics into smaller, manageable pieces.
Stay Relevant: Ensure that every piece of information directly supports the learning objective.
Avoid Information Overload: Keep the content concise and to the point.
3. Use Engaging Multimedia
Multimedia elements such as visuals, animations, and audio can enhance the learning experience and improve retention. However, it's crucial to use these elements strategically to support the content rather than distract from it. Here’s how to do it:
Complementary Audio: Ensure that the audio narration complements the visuals. Avoid redundancy and focus on enhancing understanding.
Effective Visuals: Use infographics, diagrams, and images to explain complex concepts quickly and clearly.
Interactive Elements: Incorporate interactive elements like quizzes, drag-and-drop activities, and clickable infographics to engage learners actively.
Consistent Design: Maintain a consistent design language throughout the module to avoid confusion and maintain a professional look.
4. Maintain a Conversational Tone
Microlearning content should be engaging and relatable. Using a conversational tone can make the content more approachable and easier to understand. To achieve this:
Use Simple Language: Avoid jargon and complex terminology.
Be Direct: Speak directly to the learner and use second-person pronouns (e.g., "you").
Engage the Learner: Ask rhetorical questions, use anecdotes, and provide real-world examples.
5. Incorporate Micro Assessments
Micro assessments are short quizzes or activities embedded within the module to reinforce learning and provide immediate feedback. They help learners gauge their understanding and retain information better. Here’s how to incorporate them:
Frequent Checks: Include brief quizzes or interactive activities after each major point.
Immediate Feedback: Provide instant feedback to help learners understand their mistakes and reinforce correct answers.
Variety: Use a mix of question types (e.g., multiple-choice, true/false, drag-and-drop) to keep learners engaged.
6. Prioritize Content Accessibility
Ensure that your microlearning modules are accessible to all learners, including those with disabilities. This not only broadens your audience but also demonstrates a commitment to inclusivity. To improve accessibility:
Alt Text: Provide descriptive alt text for images and infographics.
Subtitles and Transcripts: Include subtitles for audio and video content and provide text transcripts.
Navigable Interface: Design an intuitive and easy-to-navigate interface that can be used with screen readers and other assistive technologies.
Crafting the Microlearning Script
Writing the script for a microlearning module requires precision and clarity. Here are some tips to help you craft an effective script:
1. Start with a Strong Opening
The opening of your microlearning module should grab the learner's attention and clearly state the learning objective. Consider starting with a question, a surprising fact, or a brief anecdote that relates to the topic.
2. Use a Structured Format
Organize the content in a logical flow that guides the learner through the material. A typical structure might include:
Introduction: Briefly introduce the topic and state the learning objective.
Main Content: Present the key points, supported by visuals and multimedia.
Summary: Recap the main points and reinforce the learning objective.
Assessment: Include a micro assessment to test the learner’s understanding.
3. Write Concisely
Given the limited time available, every word counts. Write concisely and eliminate unnecessary words or redundant information. Use short sentences and bullet points to make the content easy to scan.
4. Align Audio with Visuals
When writing the script, consider how the audio will align with the visuals. The narration should enhance the visuals, providing additional context or explanation without merely repeating what is on the screen.
5. Include Clear Instructions
If the module includes interactive elements, provide clear and concise instructions on how to complete them. Ensure that learners understand what they need to do and what they will learn from the activity.
Enhancing the Learning Experience with Multimedia
Multimedia elements can significantly enhance the learning experience if used effectively. Here are some best practices:
1. Use Relevant and High-Quality Visuals
Choose visuals that directly support the learning content. High-quality images, diagrams, and infographics can help explain complex concepts quickly and effectively. Ensure that visuals are clear, professional, and relevant to the topic.
2. Create Engaging Animations
Animations can make abstract concepts more concrete and engaging. Use animations to demonstrate processes, illustrate changes over time, or highlight key points. Keep animations simple and avoid overloading the learner with too much movement.
3. Design Interactive Infographics
Interactive infographics can engage learners by allowing them to explore information at their own pace. Use clickable hotspots, hover-over text, and expandable sections to make infographics interactive and informative.
4. Record Professional Audio
High-quality audio narration can make a significant difference in learner engagement. Use a professional voice-over artist if possible, and ensure that the audio is clear, well-paced, and free from background noise. The narration should match the tone and style of the written content.
5. Incorporate Video Clips
Short video clips can add a dynamic element to your microlearning modules. Use videos to demonstrate real-life applications, provide expert insights, or present case studies. Ensure that videos are short, relevant, and well-produced.
Evaluating and Improving Your Microlearning Modules
Continuous evaluation and improvement are essential to the success of your microlearning initiative. Here are some strategies to ensure your modules remain effective:
1. Gather Learner Feedback
Regularly collect feedback from learners to understand their experience and identify areas for improvement. Use surveys, feedback forms, and direct conversations to gather insights.
2. Monitor Engagement Metrics
Track metrics such as completion rates, time spent on each module, and quiz scores to gauge engagement and effectiveness. Use this data to make informed decisions about content adjustments and improvements.
3. Conduct A/B Testing
Experiment with different versions of your microlearning modules to see what works best. A/B testing can help you understand which elements are most effective in engaging learners and achieving learning objectives.
4. Update Content Regularly
Keep your microlearning content up-to-date to ensure relevance and accuracy. Regularly review and refresh modules to incorporate new information, updated visuals, and improved multimedia elements.
5. Stay Informed on Best Practices
Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in microlearning and eLearning. Participate in professional development opportunities, attend conferences, and engage with industry experts to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.
Conclusion
Writing for microlearning modules is a unique challenge that requires a strategic approach and a deep understanding of both the content and the learners. By focusing on clear objectives, engaging multimedia, concise writing, and continuous evaluation, you can create effective and impactful microlearning experiences. Remember that microlearning is not just about delivering information quickly, but about making that information memorable and actionable. With careful planning and execution, your microlearning initiatives can lead to significant improvements in learner engagement, knowledge retention, and overall training effectiveness.

⺡ synopsis. after wandering into forbidden territory - the training grounds of the estate where sukuna’s soldiers reside - an unexpected romantic confession catches you off guard. little did you know that another concubine would snitch on you in hopes of getting you kicked out of the harem or worse, killed.
𖠵 tags. true form!ryomen sukuna x concubine!female reader. angst mostly [w/ comfort, if you can call it that], fluff-ish., suggestive. make-out session near the end. size difference [reader's body referred to as small]. mentions of murder, execution. wc: 4.2k
sukuna has known from the start that possessing a human army would cause trouble, one way or another. technically, the overpowered curse has no need for a group of soldiers. he can take up any opponent by himself.
however, he enjoyed knowing that he has full control over some weak humans who are too scared to oppose him. humans who would die for his cause, if he were to command them.
human shields: that’s what he calls them.
“speak up or leave,” the king of curses commands, piercing red eyes glaring down at the woman kneeling before him. he sits on his throne, the aura emitting from his body being one that would send anyone into sheer panic.
he’s already pissed off due to being disturbed by one of his concubines. It isn’t you – his favorite – so he has little patience to spare for the girl at his feet.
the blond girl speaks up after taking a deep breath. she came here determined to go through with her sick plan, hoping sukuna would hear her out. she knows of his favoritism—everyone around the estate did and nearly every other concubine has been thinking of the same.
to get rid of the blatant favoritism once and for all.
the nervous woman talks fast, stuttering after every word. she spills every detail about the predicament that you had found yourself in a couple moments ago.
. . .
you were walking around the training grounds out of pure curiosity. usually, no one would be there around that hour, yet today seemed to be an exception. you averted your eyes the second you saw the soldiers training in only their hakama. their muscular chests and backs were out in the open, straight up eye candy for anyone who was walking past.
however, when they saw you - sukuna’s infamous concubine who they’ve secretly developed a crush on – they froze in their place and nearly dropped their weapons. the men didn’t expect any visitors, especially not a high-ranking concubine to randomly walk through this part of the estate. it’s a rare occurrence to have anyone but the servants and generals walk by.
you silently bowed at them out of respect. you didn’t have to due to your high rank, yet you still did. you actually respect their position as soldiers. that humble nature of yours was exactly what separated you from the other concubines. it also played a huge role in the crushes that those soldiers have on you.
out of fear for their lives, the soldiers have never directly interacted with you. they heard of what happened to one of the male servants who tried asking you to accompany him for a cup of tea. his body was reduced to nothing but a puddle of dark, red blood which took the servants hours to fully clean up.
but now that you were alone, without sukuna in sight, the soldiers were braver. one of them grabbed the opportunity and started walking towards you as you stood on the engawa, simply admiring the koi pond nearby. the group of men watched from a distance as their friend attempted to make a move on you. it was the perfect opportunity to convey his feelings for you.
or so he thought.
sukuna’s eyes are everywhere. even if you think he isn’t looking, he simply is. his informants are lurking from every corner. his concubines, chefs, servants, maids and guards. all of them are his eyes and ears. you’re never fully alone. nothing you do escapes the king of curses. if you’re not being watched by him, the people under his control are lurking instead.
in that instant, it was one of his concubines who had discreetly followed you.
you had noticed it a while ago, though didn’t say a word. it’s a usual occurrence. the other women always try to catch you off guard. to catch you doing something that you’re not allowed to do, so they can report it to sukuna, hoping that it would get you expelled from his harem. perhaps even executed in front of their eyes.
although every time they report something ‘controversial’ about you to sukuna, it backfires, and they end up with their head on the guillotine.
despite the many failures, they simply cannot stop trying. one day it will work.
the blonde woman had witnessed how the soldier put his hand on your arm to stop you from walking away. the cheesy smiles he had given you betrayed his true feelings—the words he uttered after the formalities only further confirmed the concubine’s speculations.
“i’ve been admiring you for a while now. you’re a lovely lady...”
“perhaps it’s bold of me to ask this, but i would like the opportunity to get to know you better.”
“lord sukuna does not need to know of this. i promise not to tell him, so please don’t worry.”
. . .
“...that’s exactly what that soldier told her, my lord,” the concubine concludes her story with a shaky breath. the throne room is filled with a tense and rather uncomfortable silence. the woman can’t even lift her head up because of how scared she is of sukuna’s wrath. she’s scared of the fact that she could be the first one he kills in a rampage fueled by pure envy.
the curse simply stares at the top of the blonde’s head. his expression is unreadable, but the veins in his neck and on his forehead slowly yet surely start to become visible. his blood is boiling, causing his jaw to clench and his hands to ball into fists. without a word, sukuna stands up from his throne. the air in the room turns suffocating—the concubine could barely breathe. it’s as if there’s an invisible weight pressing on her chest, making her struggle to get any oxygen in her lungs.
a rough hand reaches out to grab ahold of her hair. sukuna’s fingers curl around the locks and roughly yanks the girl’s head back, forcing her to look up. his face is close to hers; his eyes are wide and glowing an intimidating red.
“woman,” his voice has a dangerous tone to it as he speaks up. he grips her hair tighter, until she lets out a pained sob as a few of her blond strands float down onto the cold floor, “you know what happens if you lie to me, correct?”
the blond concubine swallows thickly as the tears prickle her eyes. she nods, already aware of the risks she is taking. “yes, my lord. i… i promise it is not a lie,” she whimpers. perhaps her promise isn’t worth trusting, considering the infinite number of times that sukuna’s concubines have tried to sabotage his favorite girl, but the least she can do is try and convince him. to get one step closer to her goal.
the king of curses releases her head with a rough push that sends her onto her hands and knees. his intense gaze is focused on the big, heavy doors that lead down the many corridors of the estate. sukuna grits his teeth to the point he can nearly feel them crack— how dare a lowlife try to make a move on you, in his territory? his home?
a lowly human he has granted the privilege to even breathe the same air as him, nonetheless.
death shall await that piece of shit. everyone who has seen the situation play out and hasn’t done a thing to stop it or report it, will surely meet their demise as well. heavy footsteps and the deafening sounds of doors slamming open alert every living being around the estate. the air turns tense as they scramble to hide and stay out of sight of the one who’s currently making his way to the training grounds.
. . .
you’re sitting at a pavilion near the area you had visited roughly an hour ago. your eyes take in the beautiful surroundings: the sakura trees, the neatly cut bushes and the hint of the distant mountains that peek above the walls enclosing the estate. being here puts your mind at ease, even amongst all the chaos that you have withstood within those same walls.
you think back to the man who had spoken to you a couple moments ago. the way he spoke so bravely to you, knowing it could mean death if anyone were to report it to sukuna. it sure made you respect his courage. even if you did reject his offer—out of pure fear for his life and your own.
besides, you have developed a strange longing for the ruthless curse over the course of your stay. sukuna might still lack in some aspects, but something about him is attracting you and you cannot resist it. that connection between the two of you is something undeniable. something that will not die out any time soon.
you get up to go to your chambers. you’ve been here for too long while you’re not quite supposed to be roaming these places on your own. you lift your kimono a little, walking down the three steps and onto the gravel path. while you’re walking back, a couple noises from inside of the main building catch your attention.
sounds of struggle. you’ve heard those sounds enough times before to be able to recognize them with ease. you watch as guards step out into the engawa, down onto the pebbles that stretch over the entire yard. they’re pulling along a couple of blindfolded and tied up men. it looks exactly like what it is: an execution.
your throat dries up as you freeze in place. you’re not supposed to witness any of this. you’ve known of the executions that take place around the manor but have never seen them firsthand. you carefully hide your face, so the guards don’t recognize you and alert sukuna that you’re wandering around this part of his territory.
your eyes are downcast as you try to make a run for it from the sidelines, attempting to sneak into the building. this is none of your business. you don’t want to see it. you truly cannot do anything to save those souls—your word is not final around here.
you don’t recognize who those poor men are, until you hear one of them plead for his life. you’re about to successfully sneak past the many guards, however your head whips to the side out of pure shock once you hear that familiar voice. that smooth and charming voice. your eyes scan the bodies of the group that’s about to be executed.
those clothes. the group is wearing the same pants that those soldiers had on. the haircuts, their voices… there is no doubt about it.
“what—” you’re about to speak up – revealing your identity in hopes of getting answers and perhaps delay the execution with the little power you have - when you’re interrupted.
how could you not have noticed that imposing figure making its way towards you before eventually coming to a stop at your face?
you don’t know what to do or say. it’s like you have met a dead end. you can’t go back, nor can you move forward as a wall of muscles cage you into place. you don’t have time to react before sukuna’s fingers move up to wrap around your throat. he doesn’t hold on tight, at least not to the point that it hinders your airway. it’s a rather possessive gesture, a warning to not move or try anything funny.
“stay,” sukuna orders. you know you cannot defy him in any way, thus you do as told. you catch a glimpse of a silhouette behind the pink-haired man. A frown settles on your face the second you notice who it belongs to. that damned woman. . . she subtly shoots you a grin, one that makes your stomach churn and your blood boil.
you had been too reckless. you should have known that she would tell on you. if only you didn’t come around this area, none of this would have happened. those poor souls would not be lined up in a row in the yard, awaiting their inevitable end by the hands of the curse everyone fears. you feel like it’s all your fault and that nearly sends you spiraling.
“’lord sukuna doesn’t have to know,’ huh?” sukuna mocks with a dry laugh. a shiver runs down your spine once you realize what he is referring to. those courageous words that have been uttered to you today. you swallow thickly as you’re forced to lock eyes with the enraged curse in front of you.
he scoffs and turns your head to look at the blindfolded soldiers who are kneeling on the gravel, “how cute. which one of ‘em said that to you?”
you’re unable to immediately answer sukuna. there’s simply no way out of this. he will know the truth one way or another. the other concubine standing behind him will surely spill the beans if you lie. your punishment will be worse if you’re caught lying and the thought alone makes you panic internally.
“answer me,” the king of curses demands. his fingers tighten the grip around your neck, his face leaning in right in front of yours. it’s terrifying, really, even if you know sukuna wouldn’t physically hurt you in any way. at least not badly.
he emphasizes his demand with a subtle threat, “and don’t you dare lie.”
it’s futile lying to sukuna anyway. your eyes fill up with tears from the pure pressure you are experiencing. you look over the group of soldiers that are on their knees, waiting to be executed. just a few moments ago, they were laughing with each other while practicing their skills, not having a clue of what would happen. you grit your teeth. life is unfair.
you refuse to point at anyone, but your gaze does linger on one soldier on the far right. that instantly catches sukuna’s attention and he makes a mental note of it. he isn’t dumb: he is aware that you’re softhearted and selfless. you wouldn’t publicly expose anyone, because you’re afraid of what he will do to them if he were to find out.
“hm.” sukuna possesses enough information. he releases you with a slight push, all four of his eyes focused on that specific soldier. an ominous silence fills the air before you’re excused with a quick gesture of his hands. the king of curses wordlessly commands the guards to draw their swords; not a single life would be spared.
why? because the other soldiers are just as guilty. not reporting to sukuna about the behavior of their follow squad member is an act of treason by itself. besides, sukuna doesn’t really need those soldiers any longer. he can always assemble another group of weak men and put them on the front lines, to play the role of human shields.
his arms are crossed as he stares each of them down. he is about to tell the first guard to start the execution when he feels you tug at the sleeve of his yukata.
you gulp as you cling onto the fabric. you’re trying your best to change his mind. as his favorite, perhaps you had that power. to stop the blood hungry curse that lives for death and chaos. “pleqse don’t—" you open your mouth, only for one of his hands to grab you by your jaw.
“y’ don’t get to tell me what to do, brat,” sukuna answers in a low, dangerous voice. he taps your cheek twice to remind you of your place. he pushes you aside, causing you to stumble backwards into the building. be may be ruthless, but not to the point where he’d force you to witness the slaughter that’s about to take place.
“i’ll deal with ya later,” he adds with a faint huff. he quickly waves you off, “now, move.”
all you can do is stare at sukuna’s back before slowly retreating into the estate. you feel sick. you feel like you’re going to throw up as you scurry past the concubine who also makes her way back to her chambers, the woman still grinning from ear to ear.
heads will roll because of you. again.
. . .
the estate is unusually quiet around this hour. not a single soul had the guts to get out of their chambers after word spread that another execution took place. this time it was a group of soldiers, all of them taken out without a warning. they fear they’re next—not even your own lady-in-waiting dares to talk to you for the time being.
you’re laying on your bed, unable to sleep your worries away. the warmth underneath your sheets gives you a sense of comfort, but it isn’t enough to drive the negative thoughts away. you only lift your head up from the pillow when the doors to your room slide open. you heart nearly stops beating in your chest as you see sukuna stroll inside like nothing happened.
his footsteps are heavy against the wooden flooring. you sit up out of habit, to greet him. your eyes are downcast, however. you know a punishment awaits you as well. you don’t think he will expel you from his harem nor get rid of you in any way. he would have done so the moment he’s seen you back at the training grounds if that were to be the case.
sukuna sits on the edge of your bed, crossing all four of his arms. he sighs the second he sees the gloomy expression on your face. his hand reaches out, fingers pushing some of the hairs back from your face.
he doesn’t speak up for a minute, simply allowing you to gather your thoughts. his index finger and thumb glide down to grasp your chin— a gentle yet firm touch. “y’ see what happens when you disobey me?”
sukuna’s reminder sure was a violent one, but that’s to be expected from a disaster curse like him. of course he wouldn’t change his violent nature for you; you should’ve expected that. you shouldn’t have become so delusional, so blinded because of the fact that you’re his favorite.
perhaps the special treatment is getting to your head. it’s making you feel like you have a chance at taming a monster.
especially now, as sukuna climbs onto your bed and leans back against the headboard, pulling your small body onto his lap. the duality is messing with your brain and making you unable to fully despise the man in front of you.
“yes, my lord,” you take a deep breath before eventually answering with those three words. you’re a weak woman, melting right into the embrace of the man you’re supposed to hate. you cannot help yourself as you feel those big hands rub up and down your sides.
“good,” sukuna’s signature smirk tugs at his lips. you’re easy to distract, easy to please. looking at you from up close like this is somehow soothing the anger inside him. he’s supposed to punish you for disobeying his orders— for going somewhere you’re not supposed to. for interacting with a man who tried to approach you romantically.
yet he cannot bring himself to continue his rough lecture. seeing you become all putty in his hands puts his mind at ease. hurting you? kicking you out of his harem? killing you? no, none of that. all those evil thoughts are thrown out of the window the second your body made contact with his.
sukuna doesn't know whether to dislike or enjoy the undeniable power you have over him. if it was any of his other concubines in your position, he would've executed them right beside those soldiers. maybe it is a sick and twisted sense of love that he has for you.
even if love is a foreign thing to a cold-blooded curse like him.
“y’re lucky i still have some use for you,” sukuna comments as his big hand moves up to rub your head, subtly ruffling your hair. his actions are in contrast with his words. his words carry the hard 'truth', reminding you of your place as his concubine. but his actions tell you that you’re more than that to him. more than just a toy to his collection.
his fingers trace your cheek, your jaw and down to the collar of your kimono. he slips two digits between the gaps of the fabric and traces your cleavage. your heart rate picks up, which the king of curses easily senses. he shakes his head with a dry and nearly condescending laugh.
you’re easy. easy to pacify, easy to shut up with just a couple touches. that’s also what he likes about you. the fact that you’re so submissive to him when you need to be. sukuna traces the curves of your perky breasts, “you should just look pretty for me like this—listen to me and not get into trouble.”
goosebumps appear on your skin from the sensual touch. a shiver runs down your spine as the tips of his fingers nearly touch your sensitive buds before retreating. it’s a tease meant to drive you crazy, to get you riled up only for nothing to happen.
sukuna leans in and nips at the skin near your throat. his breath is hot and heavy against your neck, his kisses are chaste and tingly. two of his hands pull your upper body against his until you’re chest to chest. his lips find your shoulder, fingers loosening the kimono to expose your sensitive flesh.
“none of this would’ve happened if ya jus’ listened, hm?” sukuna whispers in a rough tone. he knows it’s not fully your fault—that stupid soldier shouldn’t have made a move on you in the first place. although, he can’t help but play mindgames with you. to mold you into the perfect woman for him.
and you fall right into his trap. “sorry. won't do it again,” you reply in a quiet whisper. your own hands clench onto the fabric of his black yukata, eyes closed and head tilted to give sukuna better access to your neck. he appreciates your thoughtfulness as his teeth sink into your flesh.
“hah. that’s what y’ say every time,” the pink-haired curse clicks his tongue. one of his hands moves to the back of your head, fingers curling into the strands of your hair. he tugs at them so you can face him properly.
“. . .such a little brat,” sukuna’s eyes roam over your facial features and down to your body. he gives you a subtle grin before his lips meet yours in a bruising kiss.
you should be feeling guilty for being part of the reason why an entire group of people have lost their lives, yet here you are, shamelessly making out with their executer.
the love you share is toxic, but addictive. you find yourself crawling back to sukuna each time you promise not to fall for his tricks. and the same goes for him.
the king of curses finds himself tolerating more and more of your behavior—behavior that would have others in their grave. no matter what you say or do, he keeps you alive. he simply punishes you in other ways than death, even when death is all he knows.
sukuna bites on your bottom lip which causes your mouth to open. he takes advantage of it and slips his tongue inside, mixing his saliva with yours. he groans against your lips due to the pure pleasure he receives from your kisses.
you pull away suddenly, feeling lightheaded from the lack of air you were getting. the man in front of you scoffs and flicks your forehead for that, grumpy again because you decided to bring an end to his pleasure.
sukuna allows you a little break, however. he brings his mouth to your ear and you swear you can hear the smirk on his lips as he speaks. “y’re mine. don’t you forget,” he mutters to you in a low tone.
you nod without hesitation, “all yours.”
you will never forget that. no matter what you do or where you go— you’re still sukuna’s. in every way possible. there is no escaping him. no one can take you away from him, as you’ve been reminded of an hour ago.
not another man, nor another woman. not even his other concubines can get you out of his sight. they may continue to scheme, but they won’t succeed.
what happened today is still replaying in the back of your mind as the make out session develops into something more. you’ve pushed the guilt, sadness and shame aside for the time being, though you know that those emotions will come crashing down after this is done.
death is inevitable around this place. you’ve grown a bit desensitised to it and have accepted your fate a long time ago when you realised that you had somehow done the impossible.
now you - and the others - are actively suffering the consequences— the consequences of making the ryomen sukuna fall in love.
