How do you feel being a girl?
Idk im just a fucking girl.
Hi my names Sage and today is June 21st 2024. Im in the last stretch of my twenties and finally feel ok enough as myself to re launch the badass woman I am. I ride for myself now, for the youngest version of myself- the angsty in betweens and present eldest. I will share my wisdom and my days for the girls who don’t believe yet that they are enough. The ones who haven’t realized the worth that lies in their soul. I have been and will be one of those girls for ever. If I can pretend the world doesn’t feel like it’s crashing head on and in a heated fight, at all times… I can take today, tomorrow and so on to express my trials and triumphs as I live honestly as myself. It’s so confusing sometimes to be a girl but I also wouldn’t change a thing.
Ya know I ride for you too.
Today has just been filled with sunshine and heat, and this song on repeat.
Im writing this because I know the adolescent version of myself would be stoked to know I am listening to Charli & Ella sing together.. but more importantly shes writing on Tumblr like the best old days. This is where it began, my honesty, my heart, my confirmation in social status. I once was VOHG today I am recklesssacred, or just S.

🛏, ☁️, and 🧨 for Sturm?
*Final Pam voice* HELLO METAL HUSBAND. 3 BLADED METAL HUSBAND <3c
🛏️ : A sleeping headcanon -> Sturm LOVES being a little spoon. It's just. He adores to be held and the idea of finally feeling safe in my arms. You know how it is gsknsdgh
☁️ : A soft headcanon -> Fluffy things hoarder. Whether it's blankets, pillows or plushes, Sturm's going to hold onto them as soon as I bring them home. I think it's a comfort thing for him, because he reminds him of better times and of who he is before he got turned into a mold-ridden undead.
That, and also because you usually don't find soft things around the Factory, so you kind of forget they exist until you get your hands (metaphorically speaking in his case) on them again.
🧨 : An unexpected headcanon -> As weird as it might sound, Sturm's quite afraid of loud and sudden noises, especially thunderstorms.
Not only his hearing is what he relies the most on to orient himself, so having noises that basically cuts him out of reality can get scary, but it's also because I was studying his anatomy (as one does) and I believe his head is still inside of the engine, connected to it through his brain, brainstem and cervical vertebrae, so it's not actually just the noises that disturbs him but the fact that the soundwaves reverberate through the metal cage that's around his upper torso sending shocks literally straight to his raw nerves and it hurts. A LOT.

Mono No Aware: The Aesthetics and Psychology of Transience
Mono no aware is a rich and layered concept that offers various avenues for exploration, from its role in arts and literature to its impact on psychological well-being.
Mono no aware (もののあわれ) is a Japanese term that embodies a complex emotional tapestry, weaving threads of both melancholy and an acute sense of the beauty in life’s ephemerality. Translated literally, it means “the pathos of things,” but this simplified English translation scarcely does justice to the depth and breadth of the concept. The term is deeply ingrained in Japanese culture, affecting…

the more time i spend being davepeta with you the more i realize almost every single problem in my life was caused by my obsession with being this unfeeling cool dude
but youre cool already
like in the way that actually matters
youre chill and friendly and just nice and thats all there is to it
youre shamelessly yourself even if everybody around you is a jackass and gives you shit for it
youre similar to jade and john in that way
i really envied that about them
but its different actually being at the control panel and feeling where that earnesty comes from
it makes me wanna match your energy and keep that pawsitivity ball rolling even if it ends up being weird or cringe or whatever
fuck man do you know how exhausting it is building yourself social hoops to leap through all the time and when you trip up even once its suddenly the end of the world
what kinda dumbass does that its like dealing with life in hard mode for no reward
fuck that noise
i like your way better
Nepeta's heart burns and shines inside you.
:33 < thank you :))
:33 < but you know
:33 < i dont think doing things your way is unrewarding
:33 < its like
:33 < a shield!
Dave scrunches up with discomfort.
X33 < i dont mean that in an insulting way!
:33 < the fact is that shields are just purractical sometimes
:33 < it doesnt make you cowardly to hide behind one
:33 < in the same way that it isnt cowardly for a predator to hide in the bushes when stalking prey
:33 < its just a way to make sure you dont get hurt!
:33 < purrsonally i found shields too cumbersome
X33 < im a hunter after all!
:33 < and i guess maybe the same goes for my personality
:33 < its not really that im purrticularly brave for being myself
:33 < i just didnt have a say in the matter in the furst place!
:33 < honestly if i had a choice i would have loved to be more like you dave
:33 < you can befriend people almost effortlessly
:33 < and its beclaws youre also just a nice person
Dave recoils in surprise, but Nepeta passionately pushes forward.
:33 < fur real! i f33l it inside you! theres a really strong sense of empathy there
:33 < its just like mine! just smarter, and a bit more analytical
:33 < whenever we encounter someone mew, its like i f33l you lock onto them, and you gather so many insights into their purrsonality without even trying
:33 < and you can use that to bond with others without giving every part of you away
:33 < which unfortunately
:(( < i never really knew how to do
Nepeta sours with unpleasant feelings. Your brows scrunch together with both pain and sympathy.
Nepeta has a big and complex heart. She tried her best to keep it from spilling over, but it always did in the end. And it was embarrassing. It was embarrassing when your friends dismissed your hobbies or focused in on your strange quirks. It was embarrassing when they revealed they knew about your crush on Karkat that you'd worked so hard to hide. And it hurt whenever he would say mean things about you. He and anyone else.
But you always puffed out your chest and sucked it up. You stuck to your guns no matter what. Because it was fun! The things you liked, the people you liked, were fun, and they made you feel good. Why couldn't anyone else see that? And why did it seem like they never gave a single thought to who you were?
You curl in on yourself. Your chest hurts. You suddenly really miss Equius.
And you miss Rose. You miss Jade. You miss John and Karkat and Aradia and Tavros and Terezi and all the others. You miss all the people you can go outside and see whenever you wish, and you miss all the people that you have no hope of ever seeing again. You feel the choral echo of all the times you've ever felt this need for comfort, this thrumming pain searing hot inside you, like hunger wracking your stomach.
You clench your teeth. You remember being on your bed, curled in blankets, not having eaten a proper meal in days. You remember holding your stomach and sneaking to the kitchen, turning your shoulder at every step to look fearfully behind you, only for your fingers to falter hopelessly on the handle of the refrigerator, knowing there was nothing for you inside.
You shake with anger. You know that feeling. The feeling of being chased by something much bigger than you, a hulking silhouette of menacing strength following your scent through the thicket. You'd clutched a beast carcass to your chest, barely breathing as you stalked clumsily through the trees, performance wavering from exhaustion and hunger.
You'd almost died. You'd almost died often. And then after escaping death so many times, it one day claimed you. Casually. Unflinchingly. And the world beat on without you, leaving you stunned by your own insignificance. You'd looked out onto every preceding moment of your life, wondering if there was anything to truly be proud of in the face of your friends accomplishing all these fantastical things. You'd felt lonely before, but after that, you were truly walled off from every single person you knew.
And now, despite everything, you're alive again. Twofold, together with someone.
A warmth coats the ache inside your body. The two parts of you swirl together, feeling and tasting each other, trying to understand themselves.
It feels like a hug.

My Incredibly Spoiler Heavy Thoughts on Nightbringer
TURN BACK IF YOU HAVE ANY INTEREST IN PLAYING THE GAME AT ALL. I MEAN IT.
Hello. I have completed all 10 lessons on the Normal difficulty. These are my thoughts:
First, a disclaimer. All of this is my opinion. If you feel differently about a character or plot point, that's fine. This is all just as I see it.
Holy hell, I love the setup here so damn much. The Nightbringer story so far is truly more than just a rehash of the OG plot, largely because of all the small stuff that keeps happening in background. Yes, we're befriending the brothers again, but we don't know WHY. Why are we in the past? Who sent us there? What do they want from us, or... what do they want out of somebody else?? 👀 I have to hand it to the writers for coming up with this premise, it's soild. Will they stick the landing...? We'll see.
The New! (Old) Cast
Lucifer:
Whelp, Luci is being colder to us than ever... But far more openly involved with his brothers than we saw previously. You can really tell that this is fresh off of the War and he's just trying his best to keep everybody corralled and (somewhat) comfortable.
He still holds onto his Celestial Realm prejudice against demons, so he doesn't trust MC at all which is an interesting turn on the dynamic from before. As a human, Lucifer saw us as weak and insignificant so he didn't give us much time of day. But as a "demon," and someone more knowledgeable about the Devildom than himself, he has to suck it up and rely on MC even if he wants them to stay away.
By the end of Lesson 10, it's safe to say whatever trust he had in MC is going to be shattered. MC has talked their way out of a lot, but even Dia looks shaken by their abilities this time... I'm curious to see if they can reestablish a relationship with him when he was already keeping them at arms length to start with.
Mammon:
Ah, Mammon... Once simp, forever a simp across time and space. Bless him. I guess he's just doomed to always fall first when it comes to MC. It DOES NOT take long for him to be down bad even if you don't romance him specifically (I would know because I'm trying to stay mono-Levi this go around).
Aside from his tsundere-ness, though, we do get a look into more of his insecurities. I find an interesting pattern developing in him where he just tends to latch onto a person and follow them unfailing. He did that with Lucifer before the Fall, he didn't even think about the consequences before going through with it. You could see him doing much the same with MC. I think it stems from a lack of confidence in himself and his own abilities, constantly relying on others to guide him through big decisions and provide him with validation. Add another poor thing to the list...
Leviathan:
I swear to God, the devs realized that Levi's charm lies in his pathos, so they went out of the way to make him EVEN MORE pathetic than normal. I still love him for it, of course. But seriously, Levi starts out practically afraid of his own shadow when the story starts. It makes sense, Levi would have probably one of the more negative impressions of demons of the seven, having fought them head on. He was a shut in before the War and now he's even more terrified to leave the house, let alone his room... (I can't be the only one who's wondering how the hell Dia's going to look at him and go, "Ah yes! I see Admiral material right there!" right?)
I do like that the writers took the time to show that he's one of the more empathetic brothers, right alongside Asmo and Beel, even if he's bad with people. Levi is quick to sympathize with beings and creatures who don't fit in and it's always very sweet to see. I also guess that Simeon wrote TSL in secret or after the War? You think he would know of it at least having lived so long with the author... Anyway. I digress.
There's a lot of... small things around Levi that I think hint at the inner feelings of the brothers, though (of all seven of them, he has the WORST poker face I swear). I may touch on those in another post because I need time to gather my thoughts on how it all connects there... Anyway, he's still my favorite and I'm going to try to see if there's any truth to this "you get a deeper connection if you stick to one brother" thing. Wish me luck.
Satan:
Okay, load your guns now because I think Satan is the real star of the show here. They're actually pulling way more than the "He's mad because he's seen like Lucifer" card. We're at a point where Satan doesn't even consider himself associated with the brothers AT ALL. That means something and has consequences on the story. He didn't even go with them to check on Beel, despite having enough fire power that he could have probably helped a lot.
Now before someone goes screaming at me that they've devolved him into comic relief, I'd first like to ask what did you think he was going to be? OG Satan told us himself that he used to feel nothing but anger. He's going to be pissed, irrational, and violent. He's Wrath.
What truly they're giving us under all of that is a look into a vulnerable guy who doesn't know anything about the world around him and is trying to pick it up on his own because his brothers can't (and maybe won't) teach him. They keep chaining him up (which I hate btw) and talk about him like he's a beast. But it's partially because they're such terrible communicators that he flies off the handle so often to begin with.
Satan is more alone than really anybody else is the Devildom. His brothers already have all this history together and memories shared during their time as angels, stuff he has no context for and could never experience himself. He's still an outcast among demons for his association with them, despite being a fully fledged demon in his own right, and he doesn't know why he has to be linked to them because he barely knows them anyway. He's taking baby steps to understand the world, but when he goes to his brothers to ask questions they lampshade him for even having clear thoughts. All they see him as is a roaring beast. This version of Satan is fascinating to me. How does he start here and end up the eloquent, emotionally-controlled bookworm with a planet's worth of connections? I gotta know!!
Asmodeus:
They FINALLY started giving Asmo his proper flowers! I still think it could have been more, but he's gotten way more depth than he had before. I know that Asmo part technically involved MC's input the least out of all of the brothers, but I think that was by design.
Asmo is a surprisingly introspective individual under his urge to perform. MC didn't have to give much input because he just didn't need as much. He knows himself very well (unlike some of the others). He's an emotionally intelligent guy who can sort out his own inner problems and remain empathetic enough to want to help his brothers in his own way. I wanted to hear more from this side of Asmo, honestly, but the game seems to make it clear that he's content with his spot of being the family's brightest smile. I hope it makes more appearances as we go on.
Beelzebub:
This one is tricky, because lesson 10 leaves off on a cliffhanger related to Beel... So I think Beel's feelings will have more consequences than the other brothers' on the story. Most of all that we see of Beel is, unfortunately, him being hungry or off being wholesome with Belphie but lesson 10 did give us some eye-openers regardless.
First, apparently if he flies off the handle, Beel is quite the challenge to handle. It takes Dia himself to restrain him, which is pretty insane for the sixthborn in the line-up. It's possible some outside magic is cranking up his power somehow, but we won't know until the next lessons are out.
Secondly, I find it very interesting that Beel's "heart-to-heart" moment with us is being saved for last... It was definitely the most surprising one of the secrets in the teasers (in my opinion). Beel and Belphie are glued to the hip and share everything together so for him to have a secret "not even Belphie" knows is pretty shocking. I hope it's not just that he saved Belphie instead of Lilith since we all already know that. It'd be a pretty cheap pay off to all this buildup... Not that I haven't been disappointed before or anything.
Belphegor:
Similar to Beel, Belphie doesn't get much attention until the end and it isn't much that we haven't heard before, unfortunately. You kind can't blame them, since plumbing out Belphie's inner trauma about the War was the entire climax of the first game. It's nothing we don't already know. That being said, I think there's some more interesting things that are being said about Belphie or left unsaid by the others that I find more fascinating to keep track of.
TLDR, I think there's some weird distancing going on between Belphie and the others. It doesn't seem super apparent, but Levi dropped some weird bombshells early on and I can't help but notice how he just never seems to be without Beel. Those two are close, yeah, but in this game they're practically a unit. I'm pretty sure Belphie is using Beel as a security blanket of sorts. He's also the ONLY one to mention Lilith in any great detail. Unsurprising, but it's worth noting that the others haven't really brought her up despite it (supposedly) starting the War.
Diavolo:
Somebody give this guy a vacation and a raise... So apparently, the brothers were cast down, the old King took one look at them and counted to seven, then conked out. Now our boy has to rule the kingdom. He's... the same really. As far as I can tell. You can really see how much he's taken to the brothers' antics though, which checks out in the other game too.
WAAAY more fascinating to me is apparently there's some kind of body called the House of Lords who think that Dia is too young for the job. What's the House of Lords?? Who are they? Are they like a council or advisory board...? Or is this a UK setup? Is there a Parliamentary board?? I dunno, could just be my Poli Sci talking but I'm now so lost on how the Devildom operates now...
Barbatos:
Oh my God, if there is any character I could live vicariously through, it was Barbs here. For whatever unnamed reason he is NOT having any of Solomon's shit right now and I'm living for it. Setting my delight aside, we don't get to see very much of him and what we do see doesn't really differ from the norm, which only makes his detest all the more shocking.
Through Barbs, we also see just how potent the power of the pacts can be when Solomon summons him and more or less forces him to do as he says. Nothing seems to stop him from retaliating after the fact, as he sent Solomon off who knows where, but seeing that kind of power wielded over a being who's almost unattainable to us is... Well. I feel bad for Asmo.
Simeon:
There's a lot to unpack with Simeon... and a lot of it is in the stuff that goes unsaid. First, I already found it strange that he didn't seem surprised to see Satan in the House. Or if he was, he didn't say it or bother introducing himself which is... telling for a guy like Simeon. He's back to being Luke's minder in front of demons, but I can't help but notice that he doesn't do much to counter Luke's tirades. He only indicates that it's impolite to say them, so he may still harbor the very same feelings.
Simeon and Lucifer have something of a heart to heart together that they never would in the OG title where Simeon admits his biggest regret. It isn't that he didn't follow Lucifer, as we might think, but that he doesn't feel like did enough to reach out to him before he made his decision. Lucifer dispells this, but I think it goes to show that Simeon stands behind his decision to stay and that it was the better option. Lucifer also confront Simeon on why he didn't take a high position (seraph) and instead settled for archangel. It's left open ended what his real motives for that would be, but I suspect that it has something to do with Simeon's troubling streak of going against the grain, even in subtle ways. Or he has too much anger about what happened to accept taking Lucifer's old position.
I found it interesting how easily these two seemed to talk about intimate topics together here where Lucifer barely even acknowledges Simeon's attempts to reach out in the OG story. I wonder what may have happened to sour their relationship so severely...?
Luke:
Luke the Racist Chihuahua returns!! Okay, I'm being a little mean but he's pretty much just self-righteous little kid the whole way through. I will admit, it is a little funny that the person who came up with the nickname was actually Lucifer. I think it's now retconned and confirmed that Luke and the brothers never knew each other before the Fall... though Luke seems to know OF their former selves in some capacity. I could be misinterpreting things though.
The Rat Bastard Solomon:
I swear to God this was me playing through the whole game tied to this guy.
Tumblr media
He's lying. A lot. Constantly. And it pisses me off to no end. I was wondering why things he was saying and the stuff he was doing weren't lining up and OF COURSE it's because he's either working his own agenda or being outright deceitful. I hate him so much, y'all, you don't even know...
That aside, as an impartial observer Solomon is pulling a lot of work to support MC and you can TELL how down bad he is for them, which actually has significance for the plot I think. He's keeping them in the dark about something, but considering his feelings I say we can at least be charitable and assume it isn't to hurt them or cause them any suffering... intentionally. He's also as unscrupulous as ever, considering how he ordered a very angry Barbs around and more or less took advantage of a life or death situation to make a pact with Asmo.
So. At the end of the lessons, we're reintroduced to the mysterious Nightbringer. The character who actually sent us back in time at the start of the game. Yeah, it wasn't Barbatos... probably. At least not our reliable neighborhood butler anyway. They seem to be different entities but I THINK they might share some connection....
I have to wonder who disguised MC when they first arrived. The marketing made it seem like it would be Solomon but the marketing has been hit or miss on actual accuracy about the game we're seeing. If it was Solomon, then he had to have known where the MC was before he called. If it was Nightbringer then... well actually. We need to touch on that first.
Nightbringer:
Now, much of this is just me speculating so take things with a grain of salt. Nightbringer's name is blocked out, but it seems like it identified itself to us in the beginning before sending us to the past. It appears like it wants something from Solomon.... to fully corrupt him maybe? And it's using MC as leverage against him.
I suspect that all of the weird stuff that has been happening is tied to its meddling in some way, but to what end is unclear... Sending Levi and MC into TSL, tricking Asmo then trying to feed everyone to a spider, and, likely, whatever is going on with Beel. I can't tell if it's trying to push MC and the brother's closer together, or just making vaguely comical attempts at homicide by fictional characters, spider, and Gluttony incarnate.
The situation with Adam does give us a hint into its nature. It appears to be some kind of dark, trickster being that gives a person what they desire, but never the way they intended. A walking monkey's paw, if you will. Solomon says that Nightbringer made him what he is today, so perhaps he worked under it or is simply under the influence of one its "deals." Their relationship is adversarial, though. When they're speaking, they talk about the two supernatural sides, Angel and Demon, and Nightbringer seems to want to force Solomon to make a choice between them. Lose his humanity, maybe?
I'm not quite willing to say that Nightbringer is a demon just yet, at least not one of the ones we normally encounter. Something about it seems... older. More powerful than that. But we'll have to wait for more info.
My crackpot theory?
Solomon has made a deal with Nightbringer in order to go back in time and do... something. He's after something. Nightbringer agreed, but dragged MC along as collateral for Solomon to get it done within a certain amount of time or makes sure he honors his part of the bargin. Barbatos knows this, either because he is linked to in some way to Nightbringer or saw it happen in the doorway, and is disgusted by his actions but unable to speak about it due to the pact. Or, you know. That's our present Barbie also dragged along for the ride and he's pissed that he's been essentially hijacked and taken away from present Diavolo, but forbidden to speak about it.

You know that inner monologue is an normal thing right, nothing of tulpas and multiple people in one body
https://jerichowriters.com/internal-monologue-examples-and-tips/
You know an inner monologue is a monologue, right? Mono, meaning one? My host had an inner monologue before I existed. There's a difference between a monologue and a dialogue between multiple separate conscious agents.
And honestly, this "monologue theory" I've seen some sysmeds spout, that posits systems are just experiencing a basic inner monologue and too stupid to know the difference has to be one of the most ignorant syscourse takes I've seen that really just proves you don't bother listening to plurals at all.

Building an old Mobile Suit Gundam kit this week - the original Z'Gok!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is an old kit - one of the first few HGUC kits released - and it shows. It's a small box with just a couple runners of plastic. A tiny assortment of polycaps. It feels like they had to pad-out the instructions with illustrations just to make it worth printing.
Tumblr media
The entire inner-frame is ABS, which is a little unusual. I'm used to seeing mostly PS plastic in my gunpla kits. Normally I'd be worried about the paints I used on this... But it's just the inner-frame, so I wasn't doing any painting on it.
Tumblr media
I've heard plenty of people complain that this kit is floppy, so I made sure to tighten-up the joints as I was building it. I used this DSPIAE joint-strengthening pen. I'm honestly not quite sure what's in it... It goes on a kind of milky white and dries completely clear, but it's got a tacky/sticky finish to it. And it does a fantastic job of tightening-up the joints.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like I said - it's a simple build. The arms and legs are built from multiple segments connected with ball joints. There's decent articulation in the feet and wrists, but those ball joints don't offer much flexibility. The claws are articulated too, which is nice. And there's even some ab-crunch in there.
Unfortunately the mono-eye is just a sticker on some plastic. There's no dimension or detail there. And absolutely no poseability. It's just fixed wherever you put that sticker.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There aren't really any accessories. It's just the Z'Gok.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unfortunately this kit doesn't have any kind of mounting hole or anything, so you can't really get it up on a stand. This means your posing options are a little limited. And they're also limited by the articulation in the arms and legs. You're not going to be doing anything super dynamic with this guy.
But it looks pretty damn good. It's a very simple, very solid kit. And given the price - about $10 USD - it's great for new builders or customization.
I'll be curious to see how the RG compares to this thing.

Did Six become a Nowhere Resident too in the end?
This is a combined revision of my post on the Tragic Story of Six and a depressing revelation on her ending.
Well, with the new LN lore that was given to us through The Sounds of Nightmares, I wanted to make a revision of these two things, as well as showing another similar interpretation of Six's ending using some lore from TSON on how the LN world works, as well as something that I believe I've missed previously.
Plus, while I vehemently don't believe the 'Six is the Lady/next Lady' theory, I believe that this theory on Six becoming a 'resident' works whether she is the Lady/next Lady or not.
I'm really, really putting my heart and soul into this theory.
~
Something that's been on my mind for quite a while is the possibility that by the end of LN1, Six too succumbed to the Nowhere's corruption and became another of the thousands of Residents of the Nowhere.
First, let's recap on how the Residents of the Nowhere function:
Tumblr media
So the Residents are essentially like thralls or zombies to their 'base instinct' that also serves as their identity, following it with no goal, motivation, concerns for morality or question.
I made a post previously about the observations of the Residents showing little to no regard for their own survival when following their base instinct, as well as no goal or purpose in what they do for their base instincts. I'll link it instead to not make this post too long: https://www.tumblr.com/purplemninja/763255998237589504/my-understanding-of-the-nowheres-residents?source=share
And I previously theorised here that the Thin Man isn't searching for anything in particular, but rather that searching is his Residential base instinct/ID
With that said, we can all agree that Mono became a Resident at the end of LN2, the Thin Man, but what if Six did too by the end of LN1?
Tumblr media
So it seems that the Nowhere's influence corrupts those in it and amplifies their worst flaws, turning them into Residents, but there is a protection against it:
Tumblr media
Unfortunately it's unclear what a person's 'inner child' is in LN, and when I asked people what they believed it is, the responses were unfortunately mixed, so I'll have to speculate that it's the state that a person is in denial about how truly horrible the world of the Nowhere is, and this denial allows them to resist its corruption and still have their free will to not follow an unending pointless pattern for the rest of their existence. And we see this happen to Mono:
At the beginning, Mono wears a bag on his head to deny to himself that the Nowhere hates him and wants him to fail, allowing him to retain his inner child. His bio states that he is single-minded and rarely gives up completing a task that he sets himself on, basically stubbornness, which is what the Nowhere uses and amplifies as his 'worst flaw'.
After Six gets taken by the Thin Man and he's wounded and confronted by the Thin Man, Mono mostly (but not entirely yet) stops denying that the world hates him and wants him to fail, shedding his bag, his innocence and most of his inner child with it, allowing him to gain the confidence to use his powers on the Thin Man and win. Perhaps him getting closer to fully becoming a resident is what gives him this sudden increase in power.
The reason why his inner child isn't gone fully yet is because of Six, as far as he knows, Six doesn't hate him or want to see him fail, and that is the last bit of resistance he has. That is until Six drops him (here I give my best explanation on why she did it).
With the act of Six dropping him, Mono is left to believe that actually yes, even Six hates him and wants him to fail as well, which was his breaking point (though it's unclear if Six really truly did hate him and want him to fail, I'm just saying that Mono likely thinks so after Six drops him). And with this realisation, Mono's inner child, therefore resistance to the Nowhere's corruption, is finally gone, allowing him to become the Thin Man and another Resident of the Nowhere, searching endlessly and pointlessly as his base instinct.
The world's hatred for him was the build-up, and Six seeming to be no different was the finishing blow.
Tumblr media
^ Who knows? And his single-mindedness making him continue doing the same thing over, and over, and over without trying another way or without giving up.
Now finally onto the part where I discuss that Six met a similar fate at the end of LN1.
So a Resident is someone who does a particular action over and over and over again with no goal, motive, concern for morality and sometimes no concern for their own survival either, like zombies. And their worst flaw becomes a feature of how they behave, such as Mono's stubbornness leading to him not trying to do something different when he (as Thin Man) goes back to the past. But a person's 'inner child' is the only thing that's stopping them from becoming that way.
So what would be the base instinct that Six would follow with no goal, motive, morality or questions? Survival itself.
Think about it, the Nowhere is a horrible place to live in, death awaits around every corner, kindness never goes unpunished and morals are non-existent. So why on earth would Six try so hard to stay alive in a place like this? Because she no longer has a choice.
Throughout the series, we see Six behave like a child at times, like kicking a ball in the school yard, drawing on the ground with her finger when idle (in LN2), playing with a music box, and hugging Nomes. Six's 'worst flaw' would no doubt be her selfish tendencies. Her inner child is still intact, but like Mono, her breaking was also a gradual process, though longer and smoother than his.
The Six that comes out of the tower is not the same Six that went in, she used to love playing music boxes, interacting with toys around her, and other kinds of childish behaviour. But in LN1, Six no longer cares about music boxes or toys, and none of her idle animations are something childish, all of those aspects of her inner child are gone. And she doesn't really do anything nice for others anymore. In VLN, she tried to save RCG despite being left behind by her a couple of minutes beforehand, in LN2, she sticks her own neck out for Mono several times (as does he for her), but in LN1, Six doesn't do anything nice for other people anymore, such as using a kid's cage to reach a lever with no regard to any of the kids in the cages (not that she can help them anyway).
However, her inner child is still clinging on, as she hugs Nomes like a child would.
But as we know, this doesn't last long. Her strange hunger forces her to choose between eating a sausage that she knows is made of human flesh, the Nome that is just a critter as far as she knows, or neither and starve to death.
Tumblr media
A lose-lose-lose situation that damages her inner child even further, but it's still hanging on by a thread, as she believes that she at least was able to avoid cannibalism (though those who finished the DLC know otherwise, but Six doesn't). But as we already know, this also doesn't last long, as she's soon after forced to choose between knowingly committing cannibalism by eating the Lady or not and starving to death (or give the Lady a chance to regain her strength and kill her, but with Six now at a disadvantage with being incapacitated by her hunger bouts, and the only mirror she could use now broken).
And with this act, Six realises that there's no point to trying to deny that she can remain innocent, as time and time again, the world will find a way to make her do things she doesn't want to, finally breaking her inner child and making her susceptible to the Nowhere's corruption as well. Turning her into a thrall or zombie to the instinct to survive. Surviving no matter what immoral things she may have to commit in the process, surviving despite how awful the world is, surviving with no end goal. Completing her transition into a Resident.
And she also has the powers of the Lady to help her do it, allowing her to kill a hallway full of Guests by simply walking by without lifting a finger, perhaps the world's gift to help her follow her new base instinct to survive, which is now also her identity.
Previously I theorised that Six was stranded out at sea at the end, making all the sacrifices that were made, her struggles and suffering, and the abuse she had to endure from the world all be for nothing in the end. Which Skrappo made a more in-depth post on here.
And this may still be the case for Six's ending, but now I propose, what if it doesn't matter either way? Even if she's not restricted to the Maw, she's still trapped in some way, as David Mervik hinted here:
Tumblr media
What if rather Six is trapped in the Nowhere entirely instead of strictly the Maw? Or what if her prison is not a physical one, but a psychological one - being a Resident. With this, I believe I really understand now what he meant when he said this.
Maybe her killing the Guests in that hallway is a victory in her eyes because it allows her to continue following her instinct and identity - survival. And we thought that Six won in the end too at first, but with this revelation, she actually didn't, but she's now too mentally warped to be able to see that.
And while I don't believe that Six is the Lady or the next Lady, this can still work for those interpretations too. After all, arguing in favour of the theory that Six becomes either the Lady or the next Lady, she didn't want to knowingly eat human flesh, which is why she ate the Nome instead of sausage, but she soon had no choice when eating the Lady, knowingly committing cannibalism. And being a resident makes her no longer have any regard for morality and amplified her selfish tendencies so that she thinks only about herself. So now that morals don't mean anything to her anymore, would she still be against a ship that kills, cooks and serves human flesh? And since survival is the base instinct she follows as a resident no matter what, wouldn't being the leader of said ship help her tremendously in her desire to survive? Again, unless the games or devs confirm it with 100% certainty, I don't believe that Six is the Lady or the next Lady, but this is how the 'Resident Six' theory can work with those theories.
And so with that, Mono and Six's endings truly aren't that different, both of them were tormented and abused by the world, making them slowly break and accept how horrible it really is and become just another couple of Residents to contribute to it - Mono (now Thin Man) obviously defeated and now endlessly searching for nothing in particular, fuelled by his amplified stubbornness to complete his task - and Six believing herself victorious in the end and now surviving with no goal or motive, fed by her amplified selfish tendencies that no longer allow her to think of others at all. Both following a base instinct which also serves as their identities, with no goal, motives, concern for morality or questions, with their worst flaws contributing to it. And both of them now trapped in one way or another.
Both have differences between them, but are also ultimately the same. Their stories are not of betrayal, but tragedy. I myself did say that Six became just another part of the Nowhere like many many other children did, as an empty, broken husk that can only think of survival and nothing else (though I didn't say that part then) in my post on her tragic story, but I didn't truly understand the severity of it until I came up with this theory.
Will we see any reference to them in LN3? We'll have to wait and see, but ultimately, both of their tragic stories come to a tragic close.
The end.
And here's the music I find the most fitting for this (arguably more depressing) revelation of Six's ending:

I think that the whole “Anti Lando”, “Anti Oscar” situation is getting really out of hand.
Some “fans” (Can they really be called fans of Formula 1 when they are ready to jump at another driver’s throat as soon as he crosses their favourite?) are getting way too comfortable with blowing things out of proportion and spreading hate online to drivers who are quite literally just doing their job, and this can go from calling Lando an arrogant crybaby and Oscar an asshole to the shitload of hate that the McLaren strategists and Zak Brown are receiving for the way they are handling their drivers; let me be clear, I am all for critiquing a driver’s character or a team’s strategy while maintaining civil tones, for example I am the first who disagrees with Max’s tendency to blow his top off like he did in Hungary, and I also somewhat agree with what Nico Rosberg said about the McLaren drivers situation, but the key here is in the ‘maintaining civil tones’ part.
Is Lando just now fighting for wins after many years spent in the midfield? Yes. Is it thanks to the rocket ship of a car that McLaren built this year? Also yes, there is no denying it. Does this mean that he is less deserving of a championship than drivers like Charles, who have instead been consistently at the front of the grid for the past years? Maybe, (that could be my inner Tifoso talking) but what is he supposed to do? Just throw away wins and podiums because he supposedly doesn’t deserve them?
This is all part of the sport. Formula 1 is born from the simbiosis of the driver and the car, it has always been like this, that is what makes it different from mono-brand series and it’s the fine engineering that is needed to build those cars that adds yet another layer of beauty to F1.
And people are really getting mad at Oscar for overtaking someone and scoring more points, the thing that they are literally paying him for? He said explicitly that if the team had told him not to fight with Lando and instead defend him from Charles he would’ve done so, but they were free to race, so he raced.
Friendly reminder that those are my opinions, but I tried to be as neutral as possible. Also, please don’t come at me with the “You’re a Ferrari fan, you benefited from the fight in Monza, that’s why you say this” because before being a Tifoso I am a fan of whoever makes the Grand Prix interesting.

The Watcher (Mono X Reader)
Chapter 15
Tumblr media
Y/N Pov
After six stood up and reassured us that she was okay we started to move once again, huffing I helped mono pull up the window for us to go through
Finally budging it upwards I groaned and rubbed my head walking through the opening, gasping in shock I almost slipped off of the board I had just stepped onto
Someone grabbed onto my arm and held me steady, recognizing the hold on me I avoided eye contact with him
Trying to tug my hand back carefully without falling downwards was a hard task. Especially when some certain someone is being stubborn "mono let go im fine"
Expecting to finally be free of his grasp I turned to look at him only to get further annoyed, he was not letting go.
Deciding it was useless to persist against him I groaned and started to inch along the wood, suddenly I heard six speak up after seconds of silence "lovers quarrel?" She hummed
Rolling my eyes to myself I stayed quiet not really knowing what to say, mono spoke quickly "yeah you could say that." He sounded pretty serious.
Reaching the next open window we slipped through it, he still had a strong hold on my arm 'can't he just let go!' My patience was slimming down
Glancing around the new room My eyes spotted a large grand piano in the middle of the room tied by some rope for an unknown reason
Sneakily I tried tugging my arm out but only failed with him tugging me closer, being right against his side was well.. distracting to say the least
Noticing six start to climb up the piano I smirked "looks that you have to climb up..!" Laughing I lifted my arm away "well come on let go" I shook my arm lightly in annoyance
He just chuckled grabbing my other arm he pulled my against his back, momentarily letting go of my arm only to hold onto my thighs tightly
Not wanting to fall I held onto him aswell "really?" He just seemed proud of himself "yes n/n" he got onto the piano with the both of us somehow 'he sure is strong for looking so skinny'
Six jumped up and down as mono started to do the same, a low sound started to come from the piano and I winced "what the hell are you guys doing?" Six smiled "you'll see."
With one finally intertwined jump the piano started to plummet down crashing into the room below it with ease, I was holding onto mono so tight I was surprised he wasn't choking to death
But his grip on my thighs said otherwise, I blushed pink when his hand slowly skimmed over my inner thigh rubbing it slowly with his hand
I smacked his head in shock and all I heard from him was a low chuckle, I looked over to six and mouthed help she smirked and tip toed over tripping mono
Giggling I hopped off of his shoulders landing onto my feet, he sat up and through his baggy holes I spotted a glare, it diminished when six called him over
She knelt down and was ready to help him into the new hole "are you sure you feel ready to do that?" I asked slowly she nodded and mono hesitantly walked over letting her help him up
I watched his form slowly disappear, six and I both watched as he spotted a key she looked at me and I nodded knowing what we needed to do
Running over we climbed onto the piano and started to make a ruckus, jumping on it and making loud noises, the doll that was blocking the key ran to the gate and tried reaching out to us
I watched with a hidden smile has mono smashed it into pieces with a pipe he had found, breathing out I slid off of the piano
We all started to pull up the gate with effort, we successfully opened it up a few inches, running inside he laughed "I got the key easily" six raised an eyebrow "sureee you did allll alone"
Sharing a laugh we ran towards the locked door, mono pulled the key out and slid it inside unlocking it as the door opened with a creak
Music started to drift into the area and confusion morphed onto my features, it was a piano. Looking to the left I spotted a doll drawing onto the floor with chalk
Six crept towards the doll while mono went towards his usually weapon that was laying on the floor in front of him 'how does he always find a weapon so easy?!'
Looking back to six I held back a shocked noise when she leaped over and pounced onto the doll strangling it with pent up frustration "holy shit" I whispered to myself in awe
Mono seemed to be surprised but not as much as I was, the piano continued to play making the whole scene seem rather twisted and dark 'why do I feel like she has done that before..?'
She was still staring at it slowly rising up to her feet, mono dropped the weapon and slowly went towards her "six.. come on" it seemed like she snapped out of her strange mood and nodded being quiet once more
I quickly turned away when they walked over, heading over to the drawer I saw and pulling it open I climbed up and waited for the two of them
The piano gradually got louder has we all walked into the new large room with a staircase, suddenly it stopped for a second before continuing on
We all headed up the stairs, walking past a ton of filing cabinets, I grabbed onto one and started to climb up it slowly taking my time
They both were doing the same, a huge box was in the way so I scooted it out of the way and pulled myself up watching them arrive aswell.

i am once again agonizing about six's glitching remains in ln2 : ( she was followin mono on his way 2 go save somethin that wasn't really her anymore.
it's entirely bc of this tweet:
Tumblr media
i think when six got snatched by the thin man, it ripped her in half. The part of her that's jaded, cold, animalistic , is what we see in the tower. the part of her that's playful, and well, a Child, is what we see in the glitching remains.
up until the point where she's taken, we've Never seen six exhibit normal play except for one occasion: if mono remains idle for long enough in the playground outside of the school, six goes and stands on one end of a seesaw. even then, that barely qualifies. so it's Strange that her remains are so jubilant, skipping and prancing along traintracks as she trails mono, right?
it's not!! it totally makes sense. that's her Inner child!!! and it explains why Six is so fixated on her music box, to the point where she would KILL mono over it. there's a hole inside her, a half of her that was so crucial, one that was warmth, and innocence, and levity, GONE, so brutally ripped away that it left an ugly bleeding gash. And the music box, something that represented comfort and safety to six, her innocence, her Escapism, filled that hole the way a knife does a stab wound. so when along comes mono to rip it out, thinking he was helping, he was only making her bleed more. six was already hurting, and that final act of betrayal from her only friend is what made her drop him
i think if mono somehow found a way to get six out of the tower, no matter what he did, he Would never be getting back the six he knew. like, He might've changed her back in a physical sense by destroying the music box, but she was still the same on the inside. she was still only half a person, only a monster in the body of a child.
