I would've loved young justice so much more without the timeskips
#hear me out#i feel like they didnt use any of the time they had to spend it with the characters#like the s1 team is definitely reoccurring#but the conflicts between them start between seasons#and while i adore the s2 crew (esp j.aime) + i love the possession trope... i still wouldve liked to see the characters grow more#individually and stuff. which i guess just is not how the show goes#its got the subplots that go with it but the main plot is the big bad supervillain#which is still fine. but i guess my real problem is i really love these characters and wanted more focus on them#idk. i explained it better when i was talking to myself lol#but thats my thoughts#i didnt finish it for this reason so#misty muses

Just so you know, you canât ship NineRose romantically. Nine is canonically Aromantic.
sorry i donât take things as canon if theyâre written by the same guy who wrote river song sexually assaulting five.
partly joking but not really. the way big finish wrote this story has one episode call the doctor aro (by john dorney, mentioned above), and have him solve the problem of the episode with his lack of romantic attraction, and two episodes later (by tim foley, who i also have beef with) basically has nine and river call their relationship romantic.
i know being aromantic is a spectrum and something complicated and different to each individual, and i would love it if the show (or surrounding media) made an effort to explore this with the doctor, but i. don't think it's done super well here. like. on one hand it could be saying nine didn't love rose*, which i dislike and also goes against what we see in the show, or it could be saying he needed to just Meet The Right Person, which i also dislike for very obvious reasons. and either way you slice it, it confirms the doctor has feelings in the future for river (which i agree with) but it basically says the only reason the doctor doesnât have those feelings Now is because heâs aro (with the implication of âaro For Nowâ). not because he. yknow. just met her. or he just got out of the time war and he hates himself. dorney just kind of bungles it, which is very disappointing because nineriver could be such an interesting dynamic, romantic or not.
i guess i just do fundamentally disagree that the doctorâs sexuality really changes all that much body to body so it really ends up feeling like âhe just hasnât Met The Right Person Yetâ.
*if you personally don't think this love is romantic then that's totally fine! if you prefer to read them as queerplatonic partners or what have you then you absolutely should. personally i do think it's romantic love -- specifically allegorical queer romantic love, given how it's written in the show -- and i don't think it's a moral wrong to read it that way.
tl;dr i dislike this writer and how he handled nine and river's relationship and i think how he handled nine's romantic attraction (or lack thereof) specifically in Swipe Right really kind of sucks. that story alone contradicts the doctor being aromantic by saying that they feel romantic attraction in the future, and then the third episode in the set by foley also contradicts the doctor being aro in the present. i know stuff with sexuality can change over time, but that doesn't really feel like what was being done here. it feels more like the stereotypical thing a lot of media does that basically says aromanticism has to be fixed or is a temporary thing.
i also think telling people they can't say two characters were in gay love because of a pseudocanon side story most people have not listened to and costs a lot of money is a weird way to interact with people you don't know on the internet. i like romantic readings of doctorrose and doctorriver, sue me.
#to be clear i would love it if they explored the doctor being aro and/or ace in canon i think that could be really interesting#and i love reading people's headcanons or meta about aromanticism in doctor who#but i don't think it's been done well in any sort of canon media.#and as someone who reads series one as a gay allegory. i'm not gonna listen to Some Guy i don't like when he says i can't#*some guy being john dorney not anon#but iâm not listening to them either. sorry#doctor who#delia.txt#ninerose

Transformers ONE: a quick overview
I'm fresh off my second viewing of TF ONE (at the time of writing) (yes I am that kind of nerd) and I really gotta get my thoughts out on it because it is such a spectacular film and easily one of the best pieces of media this franchise has seen, like, ever. This first bit will just be some general thoughts and full on spoiler-y stuff will be below the line in case you still haven't seen it, which is something you should go and fix, like, right now. Do it. Go watch the movie.
First off, the whole thing is just. Gorgeous. Nearly every frame is its own work of art. Cybertron is realized beautifully, both in Iacon and on the surface. Buildings hanging from the ceiling, endless layers and impossible heights, it's so easy to get lost in it all. It contrasts amazingly with the grungy, cramped mines and the harsh, living crust that's constantly changing and shifting. The visuals alone sell this film.
Orion and D-16's friendship is handled impeccably. It's really fun to watch them bounce off each other and it's easy to see why they're friends. What's even better is watching them fall out. This is your spoiler warning, because even if you know exactly where they're going to end up (which is likely if you've consumed nearly any Transformers media in the like, past decade?), the fun part is seeing how they get there.
oh and like. Bee and Elita are alright. I guess. They're probably not why you're here but y'know. Scarlett Johansson was ok. I thought some of her deliveries were kinda weak, especially by comparison to Brian Tyree Henry and Chris Hemsworth, but she wasn't bad. Neither was Keegan-Michael Key. I found Bee a bit grating but that was kinda the point and he was still funny, so.
Alright. You've seen the movie? You don't care? We're clear? Good.
You can see the exact moments that turn D-16 into Megatron. Yet even before those you get these tiny little hints that he's a bit off. He goes off about killing Orion or straight-up mutilating him, but it was a joke guys, he didn't mean it! "I'll melt your face into slag" isn't a sign of a sound individual, no matter how casually it's said. He's only convinced to go on Orion's quest for the matrix by the allure of praise and adoration. Everyone else is shocked or remorseful when they hear about the Primes getting killed, while D-16 is angry. The second he saw Sentinel's betrayal he was thinking about what he could do to him. How he, personally, was betrayed by what he'd done. How he could get his revenge. He took every single slight against the entirety of Cybertron, the betrayal and selling out of their race, as a personal offense. He slaved in the mines to fuel the Quintessons. He had his T-cog ripped out. His hero was killed. His idol was a traitor. Why shouldn't he be the one to set it all right? Then there's his declaration to kill every one of Sentinel's followers. Right before they're captured by the high guard, he's telling Orion that none of Iacon would turn their backs on Sentinel, that even when shown his lies like they were, they would ignore it. They would continue to follow him. He was fully comfortably slaughtering every single person that even for a second believed in the system like he did. There was one bot that tried to talk sense in to him, but he had stopped listening long ago.
Orion Pax is great. He's (going to be) the boy, he kinda has to be. Right off the bat you're shown that he's a rule breaker and not contempt with the system. He wants to find the matrix not to please Sentinel, but to help his fellow Cybertronians. He wants to bring back the flow of energon to make everyone's lives better, especially for those down in the mines. He's eager to do a good job in them because he wants to help. He's a little self centered about it all, certainly, but it always comes off as for the greater good. He broke protocol to save Jazz when the mines were collapsing. He broke into the Iacon 5000 to show the city that all miners were capable of more, not just that he was. He knew that there was more for everyone than just mining more energon. He's looking for a way to make things better. This is one of the many things that helps set him apart from D-16, who, while not happy with his place in the world, was content. He believed it would all work out as long as he stayed in his lane and did his part, even if that lane sucked. Then there's his reaction to the truth. He feels sorrow and anguish when he learns the Primes were betrayed and killed. He mourns the loss of life. He's put off by how eager D-16 was after killing one of Sentinels guards. He tries talking him down but it doesn't work. He's dead set on that path and there's no getting him off it. You can see the fear in Orion's eyes that there might be no turning back for his friend as he's fighting Starscream. It's a side of him he's never seen before and he doesn't like it. The rage. The unrestrained, unfettered violence. The sheer brutality in both his blows and his words. But there's still a shred of hope that, once this is all over, he'll have his friend back.
That last scene man. I cried in both my viewings. Orion is desperately trying to talk D-16 down, hoping that maybe, just maybe his friend will listen one last time. Sentinel is beaten. He's been completely exposed. He can't run. He can't fight back. There's nothing left for him except to be taken in and shown justice, but D-16 isn't having it. He will give Sentinel what he feels he deserves. He will tear down everything that traitor has built. He will rebuild their new world. He. Will. Have. His. Revenge. And he's not letting anyone get in his way. Orion jumps in front of Sentinel in a final bid to do the right thing, to preserve some sense of right, to get his friend to see the light, but it's not enough. He takes the blow. He gets knocked to the edge, and out of instinct D-16 grabs him. Then he lets go. He lets Orion fall to the depths of Cybertron and. Man. The music swelling as the planet itself parts to bring him to the core. D-16 tearing Sentinel in half. Any and all remaining clutter and debris clearing as the core comes into view. D-16 declaring the traitor as finally dead. That the age of Primes and their impersonators is gone with him. Primus himself grabbing Orion and saving him. D-16 tearing the stolen cog from Sentinel's lifeless torso. The Thirteen Primes coming forth from the core to induct Orion. D-16 upgrading himself into his new form while Orion is healed and blessed with his. D-16 declares himself as Megatron at the same time that Orion Pax is given the title of Optimus Prime. It's powerful stuff. Any other flaws this movie has are rendered completely null and void by that one moment. It's that good and I can not wait to see what comes next.
I want to end the review there because *gestures broadly* but I still have more to say. I am. SO fucking glad Optimus isn't the reincarnation of one of the Thirteen or anything like in IDW(?) and the Aligned continuity. It's Orion Pax's destiny to become Optimus Prime, don't get me wrong, but he still has to earn that. He shouldn't be handed it on a silver platter because whoopsie daisy yur the reincarnation of one of robot god's direct descendants kid. So I am very happy to say ONE Orion worked for his new title. He stood up for what was right. He fought against injustice. He didn't take the easy way out. His creator saw that he was worthy of more and granted it to him. And it's such good contrast to Megatron, who took the power that he wanted, not caring who got hurt in the process. Just. God damn it I love having actual themes to dissect and analyze and character arcs and stuff. Feels fucking good man.
so go see this movie I need a sequel

TGCF Revised Ver: Mid Autumn Banquet
Short arc is short and honestly aside from some stuff in the beginning I think most of the changes here are fine. It does feel like it flows better in some parts
The biggest change here is the beginning of the arc:
Originally QR possessed one of the guys he'd kidnapped, then showed up at the Xianle Royal tomb to desecrate it and then XL dragged him home. In this version, he just found a random dude while escaping after the events of the Fangxin arc and possessed him (this was the only kind of person he could possess). Notable changes though: it's said upfront that this dude is a gambler and a drunkard (and that this is the type of person QR hates most because it reminds him of his own dad). And he came crawling to Puqi Shrine to hide from LQQ. XL is still quite savage to him though. Also QR's long rant about how everyone sucks is moved to the end of this scene with him also cursing out the Three Tumors as a group after cursing them out individually. (Also my mtl has him call SWD a 'nouveau riche' instead of blackhearted and I'm very curious if this is an actual change or a translation thing xD)
And now the big rage change. THE PICKLE JAR SCENE IS CUT! Bye bye Pei Ming's final stint as an antagonist, Pei Xiu standing up to his boss/ancestor, and the Wind Master making a fool of him and then cheerfully inviting XL to the mid-autumn banquet. In the revised ver Ling Wen just informs him there's a banquet and he attends (though all the reasons he lists for being unable to refuse are the same)
No Lang Ying in this version so SQX does not mention taking XL to pick him up later.
XL recognizes LW's male form right away in the revision, while in the original he only caught on after seeing PM & SWD next to her. Also snip goes the bit about the Three Tumors praising each other and SQX calling them fakers.
The audio drama adds some cute dialogue here about LW not wanting to go to the hot springs with PM and SWD telling her to go with him and pretend PM doesn't exist. I love it a lot. (also this is SWDâs first line of dialogue in the AD haha)
LW/PM going 'Instant karma' to SWD after he made fun of them is cut. Awww
Idk if it's a translation thing but the price for stopping the mid-autumn play was possibly reduced from 100k to 10k merits - most likely a translation thing because itâs still 100k in the AD
Oh? Looks like the XL's play in the Mid Autumn Festival is called "The Strange Tale of Flower and Night" and SQX notes that it must have been written by one of his new believers...and XL then notes that his only believers are the poor villagers in Puqi Village. There is no mention of the Banyue merchants here like in the original. The play is still about Banyue though
Which leads to the consequence of cutting the pickle jar scene. SWD asks after Little Pei and PM says he washed his hands of him (I guess they had their talk offscreen?) SQX proceeds to mock him for not disciplining PX properly and brings up the past incident with his subordinate and the Rain Master, which makes PM uncomfortable (he has no reaction to SQX defending Banyue in the original) SWD scolds him as before (honestly SQX does feel a little ruder in this ver since she's bringing up the one topic PM doesn't like) (possibly also a translation thing, but SWD explicitly calls PM SQX's elder in the mtl which is cute) (mtl is also much nicer to SWD when it comes to *that* line)
The Rain Master convo that originally took place during the pickle jar scene happens here. Its also noted here that YSH silently allowed XL to borrow water for Yong'an 800 years ago (since he didn't exactly ask in this version) Also notably SQX reveals right away that the Rain Master was the last ruler of Yushi, and Pei Ming was a general of Xuli and XL realizes their history. In the original we don't learn this until Mt Tonglu.
And now for an annoying characterization cut because it's been a while. Originally when XL & SQX discuss PX's exile they have a moment of nodding about the Human Realm wearing one down over time. In the original there's an added bit about how XL is nodding unconsciously while SQX's nod is exaggerated. There's no flourish in the revision and I am annoyed because this is a key difference between the two of them. SQX says these things but doesn't fully understand them yet...
(While I'm sad about the pickle jar scene, I will admit moving this dialogue makes the scene flow better here. Originally we went right from SWD scolding SQX to the lantern battle. It was actually pretty abrupt...)
After SQX receives her ranking, other officials note that LQQ would have normally been ranked there. But he became depressed after the events of the Fangxin Guoshi arc and wasn't focusing on his duties :( Originally, he's only mentioned as being less popular than QYZ despite ascending earlier
Since SQX doesn't need to take XL to Lang Ying in this version, she goes to drag her brother away from his friends.
Also snipped is Feng Xin giving XL a congratulations. Poor Feng Xin :(
And then XL goes home and the scene with QR is more or less the same.
Very small changes overall and most of the characterization is in tact. Save for Pei Xiu's.
RIP Pei Xiu. I still love you.
#tgcf revised version#tbh I originally started writing this up because i noticed a nice swd bit in the revision and wanted to gush about it#but its actually in the original as well xD#oh well i still love this arc and i'm glad it survived the revision!#always happy to reread this one

Homesick!
I just gotta say I love the pun of this episodeâs title; I thought Homesick would allude to it being about Luz missing home, but it was actually a joke on Hooty being sick!
That said, we DID get what wouldâve been our first look at Manny, as well as an early version of Camila lore! Turns out she was going to be a nurse, but in the end I think I like veterinarian better. Still, I remember discussing healing back during S1A as a potential track for Luz because of this, so to see that theme be apparent with both parents was cool!
Mannyâs face being shrouded also seems to indicate that the dramatic reveal behind him -the illness- was always planned, at least since the pilots. Luz said he drove an ambulance, past tense, which seems like some dark irony given he probably needed one at one point. Remember how some of us theorized after Reaching Out that the Abomaton alarm reminded Luz of an ambulance siren related to her father? Man⊠On the plus side! We can guess Camila and Manny met through their professions, so we could try applying that to canon as well! Compassion is such a Noceda trait I love it.
Likewise, I appreciate how these two leaked storyboards have Luz and Eda covering for each other! One sticks their neck out because something means a lot for the other, but the other decides itâs not so important theyâd sacrifice the one for it⊠With this episode, Eda doesnât want Luz to look like a dunce but Luz is honest and canât bear to see her mentor be mocked either, and is trying to take responsibility for what she feels is HER mistake too! Itâs really sweet seeing Eda inadvertently teach Luz the Healing glyph.
Speaking of, it seems we wouldâve gotten individual glyphs for all spells, as the fandom once assumed! I guess the show did glyph combos to explain why Luz doesnât immediately find everything, as well as create a sort of fun system behind Luz having to mix and match things. And we even got to see what we always wanted; Luz making an ENORMOUS glyph around her enemy! Goes to show my speculation that since glyphs rely on the magic around them, they arenât physically taxing; Something we see brought up with Edaâs own magic.
Caduceia reminded me of an early Hermonculus, being a teacher who didnât really care much for the actual students and even seemed to enjoy mocking them! She looks like Raine, so much that I wonder if the design was repurposed for them because it was such a nice one! I dig the play on Caduceus, with Snakeslie as a palisman! Snakeslie looks so much like a worm on a string. Given Luz and Caduceia are both healers, itâs neat they have a snake in common, though Caduceiaâs seems to allude to her being a snake (liar); Her palismanâs name is literally Snakeslie. Snakes lie. Glad to see Stringbean with the positive rep!
I also love the gag of King calling himself the King of whateverâs convenient, and it was really cute seeing him want to prove his own worth! Because two witches, itâd be easy to feel like he has nothing to offer, which is part of Sense and Insensivity in canon! Thereâs parallels between the A and B-plots, with Luz and King feeling ineffectual and their owl friend supporting them, only to be helped as well! Eda and Owlbert are linked and hell so are the demon hunters and Caduceia!
The House Demon lore was neat, even if it was stuff we already figured out with canon; House Demons being like hermit crabs, and also rare! Seeing healing magic be used to make someone sick and even control their mucus/phlegm was disgusting yet fascinating! And I was delighted to see the demon hunters again, theyâre underrated side characters imo and we even got a crew nickname for another one of them!
I also like the bit of the moral here; That sometimes, itâs not that a student is bad or isnât trying, sometimes the teacher is failing them. Maybe some people think this generation is raised too soft and coddled, but I think itâs an important reassurance for a lot of kids who struggle and blame themselves for it; Iâve taken teaching classes before, and we were taught to be vigilant with ourselves as potentially inadequate for students. Itâs the onus of the teacher to adapt to a kidâs needs after all, and actually care!!!
What an unexpected delight! I never imagined the crew made storyboards for additional episodes and not just the pilot! This one has no voice alas, but itâs better than nothing and I feel storyboards have such a nice charm to themselves as well! I really thought the pilot would be my last episode review, but I keep getting pleasantly surprised and gifted by this showâŠ!

here's a âšquick recap of the Jessa and Ben interview from the "Now That We're a Family" podcastâšfor @undercoverduggarblog and anyone else who's curious if they spilled any tea.
I will say the couple who was interviewing them seemed to be the exact same flavor of fundamentalist as the Seewalds, so it was mostly the same cheesy fundie platitudes you hear in any "interview" the Duggars or similar fundies do. so this might be kind of short but there were a few interesting parts I'll highlight:
Jessa and Ben said that they were really focused on teaching catechism memorization to their kids, which I guess isn't super shocking information, I've just never heard anyone besides Catholics talk about catechisms lol. The Catholic Catechism for those who don't know is a separate thing from the Bible which kind of summarizes the principles of the religion, kind of like a cliff notes situation for all of Catholic theology. Other denominations usually focus more on individual stories from the Bible to summarize the principles of their faith, but according to Ben there is a Baptist Catechism too and the Seewald kids will be memorizing it. -
Ben says he was working for Jim Bob at the time he and Jessa got married doing lawn care, remodeling, and construction, idk if I knew that previously. He said he started tutoring Jessa's siblings after that, and now he's been a pastor for 4 years after doing an internship at his previous church. -
Jessa says some of the first conversations she had with Ben pre-relationship were about theology, and that she had been reading more about the Reformed tradition and practices at that time after talking to Ben. Ben says he got Jessa's phone number originally by asking Jim Bob if it was ok to talk to her about theology outside of church stuff. -
Both said even before marriage, they had a lot of disagreements theologically (obviously, bc Jessa was raised by Jim Bob and Michelle who basically made up their own version of Baptist). Ben says some of their biggest disagreements were on the topics of predestination (as we know, since he also got into it with JB over that), how God decides who should be saved, "The Atonement" which I assume just means Jesus dying for our sins (not sure what there is to argue about there), etc. He goes on to say he didn't see it as a deal breaker as far as courting Jessa because he was very into her, and also "a lot of Christians disagree on these topics", but he did want to try to eventually "figure it out". -
They say that they put the theological discussions on pause after Ben proposed. Jessa laughingly says "don't worry, we picked back up (after we were married)" and I guess for me personally I just don't understand how you can talk about these things SO much and never resolve them. Like how are you talking about predestination for MONTHS? and if you guys disagree about a subject to the point that your conversations end in anger and crying (i'll get to that soon) I don't understand not just agreeing to disagree. Honestly to me, it really sounds like Ben had a campaign from the beginning to change Jessa's mind about these things, which is good in some ways I guess bc he's slightly more progressive than she was raised, but still. It definitely feels like that was always the goal, to get Jessa to believe what Ben does, and I mean what other choice does she have in this world they live in but to give in? -
Ben says the theological differences really started bothering him after marriage (shocker). So they continued their arguments, Ben showed Jessa endless books and shit "proving" his points, and Jessa says she started to get pretty heated about their disagreements (at one point she says Ben was like "maybe we should just pray about this" to which she answered "you pray!!"). They both say they were never at the point of yelling, but Jessa would sometimes start crying out of frustration, as would Ben after seeing her cry, and they'd just end in the same place they started. Ben says he thought that if he just "presented a good argument" it would change Jessa's mind about these things they disagreed on and that he hadn't anticipated that they would struggle over this so much (have you met any Duggars, Ben??). -
Ben says that he realized these conversations weren't productive and that he wasn't "leading" Jessa well (đ) so he started trying to diffuse hard conversations by being like "hey, let's drop this and go on a date", or doing something that would distract both of them before things got heated. -
Jessa says nowadays she agrees with Ben on more things and considers herself a four-point Calvinist. She says Ben used to have "hyper-Calvinist" tendencies and that he's chilled out a bit in that area (I don't know what she means by this lol). -
The couple who are interviewing them are also from big Christian families, and they ask Ben and Jessa if they ever get exhausted from trying to maintain so many relationships with both of their large groups of siblings, in addition to Ben's church members. Ben says yes, and that with Jessa's siblings (he specifically mentions hers and not his lol) there are just some that they see and have over a lot, and some they just "don't connect with as much" and don't see often. Jessa cuts him off here and says that her family does have weekly/monthly things they do where they see everyone. She also says there are certain family units that she and Ben try to connect with more than just at the big family gatherings (1. why'd she say it like that and 2. i wonder who đ). Overall, Jessa says she always feels like she's not doing enough to maintain her relationships with all of her siblings and that it's a struggle. -
Ben and Jessa get asked about the time they take for just the two of them. Ben says they used to do a date night at least once a week, but that since having more kids there have been "seasons" where that hasn't happened (I'm so tired of hearing that word at this point in the interview). Nowadays they both say that they do maybe one or two date nights a month where they go out, and also a lot of at-home dates where they watch a movie or read together. The reading together sounds sweet don't get me wrong, but for me personally, I feel like I would be driven to insanity by taking turns reading aloud and not just getting to go at my own pace (I've got attention problems tho). -
The types of books they read together are also usually about theology (they just can't get enough). They say right now they're reading a book on prayer, and in the past they've read about things like Baptist Covenant Theology, which Jessa says "went over her head". The way Ben talks about it, I feel like the reading together thing is another attempt to sell Jessa on his beliefs (Ben seems super geeked about Calvinism). The interviewer husband says their reading together is good because it prevents them from developing separate world views from each other without the other one knowing (sounds threatening?). -
As far as the movies they watch for date night, Ben says "westerns, sci fi, something black and white". They say as far as morality and movies go, they're pretty similar on the things they "don't want to see" and they use those rating websites for parents to decide if a movie is "clean" enough for them to watch. Ben says he really loves fantasy, sci fi, and imaginative stuff whereas Jessa says jokingly that she prefers movies "with humans" or things like Dick van Dyke. Ben says he got Jessa to watch Star Wars once, which she describes as "everything I don't love", but she got into it a little bit by the end. They both like movies like Pride and Prejudice. -
The wife interviewer tells a weird story about how she and her sister got mad at their husbands for showing them Lord of the Rings because it's "creepy and weird"?? which I just included because of how egregious a statement that is lol. Ben defends Lord of the Rings and the interviewer husband says that he and Ben can appreciate fantasy bc they have the ability to think "deeper" than their wives (he's joking but it still made me mad). Jessa said she originally was worried that watching fantasy was dabbling in the occult and the other wife agrees. which isn't surprising but makes me sad.

Oh, I'm not excusing any of the shit Armand did. I'm explaining it, like I get why he did things. But I'm not excusing how other characters are entitled to feel because of it.
But the thing IS, even Lestat in season 1 got a small glimpse at the end where he stole a rat in the aftermath of the killing. We knew where he was, we knew what was up. With Armand we have literally nothing, which is a bit strange, to me. But I have to trust the writers, I guess.
sry, I wasn't trying to imply u were! I didn't think that at all. it's hard to answer stuff sometimes both to the individual ask and a general audience who would read it, sry about that.
ya idk why the show made that choice. although armand does abruptly leave too in the book. he just walks off and it takes louis days to realize he's gone for good. obviously the show made some changes of how this goes here, but I felt like his "silence" throughout was intentional for a reason we'll find out later. idk if that came across well for the show only viewers tho, but this whole episode was rly rushed as it was too so it all kind of felt off in ways.

For the ask meme, Jean and Venti? :>
Thank you for the ask! :>
JEAN
How I feel about this character
This should be no surprise to anyone, but I adore her. #1 absolute favorite Genshin character, bar none. She's already an archetype I love (honorable lady knight torn between duty/family and her own desires, bonus points for blondness; see also, FE3H Ingrid), enough so that the friend who got me into Genshin lured me in with her ("read the manga at least until you get to Jean, and if you like her, you have to start playing"), and a lot of her individual characteristics are also deeply endearing to me. I am not rational about Jean. She is my beloved precious blorbo who can do no wrong and I will write out her flaws and make her perfect if I want to, and I will write her outmatching and one-upping the male characters who are supposed to be just as or more cool, and I will write her whump and fluff and hurt/comfort where everyone goes "oh we have been unfair to Jean, let us rush to care about her," and I feel no shame on any of these points. I am holding her up and showing her to everyone like a beloved pet.
All the people I ship romantically with this character
Okay, so, the thing about me is that I usually make my favorite character a fandom bicycle because I just like seeing how I think they'd interact with other characters I like? I have at least idle shipping thoughts about Jean and... so much of the rest of Genshin. But my primary ships for her are most of the other Knights of Favonius, particularly any combo, OTP or OT3 or OT4, of Lisa, Kaeya, and Eula, with some particularly energetic mental dabbling (less likely to make it on the page) in Jean/Ningguang, Jean/Rosaria, Jean/Diluc, and Jean/Sara. Those are probably the ones outside the OT4 and its permutations that I'm most likely to actively play with without some outside trigger or inspiration!
My non-romantic OTP for this character
See above, just without the kissing. That said, I think everyone knows it's Jean and Kaeya. XD And beyond that the platonic relationships within the OT4!
My unpopular opinion about this character
I... am not sure I have one? The people I choose to follow have Good Opinions, and I do not follow people with Bad Opinions so I don't know how popular they are (also I don't go into her main tag because main character tags get SO spammed with 'this character appeared once briefly in the background of this comic' sorts of tags. I follow individual artists and the rarepair tags). I like to think she could take Diluc, I guess? Who often gets presented in fanon and a little bit in canon as the Ultimate Mondstadt badass.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
More cool action scenes! And also FIXING HER RELATIONSHIP WITH BARBARA.
---
VENTI
How I feel about this character
I like him! I have somehow ended up following and being followed by many Venti fans who love him much more intensely, and he's one of those characters I already like enough that I can be enjoyably swept up in that love, such that for the duration of the post I'm reading or the discussion we're having, I love him just as much. Then it goes back to 'sure, he's cool and I enjoy seeing him'. :> Which I definitely do.
All the people I ship romantically with this character
Venti isn't a fandom bicycle for me just because he's not in my top faves, but he definitely would have the potential if he was. >> That said, Dvalin, Zhongli, and Xiao are the only people I regularly seek out pairing content with him for; I enjoy incidentally seeing him with pretty much any of the world's other immortal/long-lived-non-human characters and all the now-dead past character's he's been with, and he's fun with a lot of the Mondstadt characters as well. Honorable mention to Jean/Venti for occupying the same mental space as Venti himself: a pairing I'm not personally invested in but, while I'm talking to @esmeraldablazingsky and/or reading their stuff, am temporarily 110% high-enthusiasm about.
My non-romantic OTP for this character
Broadly speaking, his various friends over the centuries and, currently, especially Dvalin, but I will admit that my Thing for Jean means that I am most fascinated with his relationship with her (the only person in canon who knows him in both his forms and is still respectful! XD) and, by extension, Gunnhildrs of the past.
My unpopular opinion about this character
I again don't know enough about general fandom opinion to have one. XD;; Most of my opinions about Venti are accumulated from the people I follow who love him, and I haven't seen any general popular ones among them that I disagree strongly with!
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
I put "Venti takes the Traveler to Celestia, or at least gives them a very strong hint and boost" in a lot of my speculative endgame scenarios because I feel like there are hints in canon that it COULD be what happens, and I really really hope that it WILL be. It feels like how the narrative around him should pay off, to me.

Episode 4: Things Slowly Change...
So, I was re-watching Episode 4 yesterday. I did a silly livetweet session that involved mostly gushing over expressions and stuff, but I was pointing out how this episode really is a pivotal one for the relationship between Nomoto and Kasuga. An early pivot, so to speak, but things definitely start to change during this episode and onward.
One part I didn't actually tweet about was when they were enjoying the pudding and have a personal conversation...
This was after the trip, after prepping the pumpkin pudding and enjoying it. It was a quieter time, a time to reflect what happened earlier.
Kasuga was always one for budgeting and efficiency: Buying food on sale, owning only the basic needs, shortcuts that cut down on mileage.... But... something about today, she wanted to try something different. A more leisurely route along the beach. At the market, they enjoyed some ice cream and Nomoto proposed hanging out more often BEYOND their agreement of cooking and eating. Someone wants to actually spend time with Kasuga?? FUN time?? This thought lingers in the back of her mind because, when they got back to the apartments, she eyed that pumpkin with some consideration. Almost like... she didn't quite want their time together to end yet.
In all of this, Kasuga didn't show any reason why she wanted to do the things she did. She even looked a little unsure herself during the farmer's market scenes! I think it took her some quiet time - that time they waited for the pudding to settle - to actually think about it. And that's when she starts that convo in the photoset above, finishing it off with this line:
...which gets Nomoto thinking as well!
Now, Nomoto already had some inkling of a desire since the first episode, and something started to click by Episode 2, but it was them actually going out together that really started to bring out more feelings from Nomoto. She was the one that asked if they could do more things together earlier that day. Very awkwardly, I may add, heh:
Even before this, she was fretting over what to wear for the trip, looking up advice (that didn't help since it was all for het couples), and here she brings up the question almost like a proposal. Almost. Then she does her infamous nervous babbling.
It's, like, deep down, she knows what she wants (friendship at this point), but she doesn't want to sound weird and doesn't want to lose the first connection she's had in a LONG TIME. This even goes to later events like Christmas and Valentine's Day... But she WANTS to say these things, and sometimes, they just come out. Nomoto has a tendency to let her emotions out, even if she holds back a bit. She WANTS to see Kasuga more. This isn't just a bargain about cooking and eating big dishes anymore. This is about spending more time together and enjoying it, together!
But she didn't really put everything together until Kasuga said her own thoughts. They were acting different because they were hanging out with one another.
Why? They aren't quite sure yet. Yes, you can say something like "I guess it was because I was doing this thing with you," and not immediately think "because I want to be your friend" right off the bat, especially later in life. School-aged, you're taught the beginnings of socialization, you're encouraged to make friends and work together, etc. After you graduate, it's more about that working together in your jobs and raising a family, and with the latter, that has never been on either ladies' minds. Work-wise? Coworkers are not your friends. They are your cohorts, the other folks that help make the job run smoothly.
So, what DOES that make them?....is what they're both wondering individually. You can see it in their faces, their expressions, even within this episode (pics are when Kasuga said her version of the "It was because of you" line):
Nomoto is ahead of this path, though. She knows she wants friendship.... Or something like that, but she's too shy to admit that's what she wants at her age. She cherishes her friendships from childhood and is still devastated to this day how she lost them. And now, Kasuga has come into her life and it's looking bright again.
As for Kasuga, while not confirmed, I always got this feeling she never had any friends, even when she was younger. She's always been a loner...I'm sure even this blossoming relationship with Nomoto is something she's completely new to. A lot of it would be new grounds to navigate, but Nomoto is patient with her, and it seems like she'll do fine if she continues to just be herself.
We know how it develops, but it's really fun looking back and figuring out how they were thinking/feeling at that point in time!

Aira Character Talk
Since Aira was mentioned again in Saltyplaytoons (spongebob reference? Lol, funny either way) blog post I wanted to take a deep dive and talk about her. Plus at this point sheâs the only pure character that deserves to be rescued from this shit comic and not written by a misogynist. She getâs shit on for no fucking reason.Â
It is very well known now that kique has stated that she is his âleastâ favorite character. Why? Probably because sheâs another female character he made and got bored of her. Honestly it saves her the injustice he would have given her if she had more screen time. When we first met Aira, she was stuck in her creature form. I thought at first she was an evolved creature that was based on Aedra and her beast form was pretty cool in my opinion it looked like a mix between a cat and a dog. Which btw people was made and turned into by a Spirit, so that quickly leads my thoughts into rhovâs and feafâs future kids. If a spirit can turn a dog into an evolved creature, then itâs very much possible because of the spirits for them to have hybrid kids. Will it be canon? I donât know, like many have said; itâs obvious kique is bored of his own comic and shoved into our faces just to keep pages being pumped out with nothing really interesting. For me, I see the comic as a sitcom show that just goes nowhere and the characters do and say random stuff that doesnât revolve around their world or plot. Besides, you canât tell me half of the characters in this world wanna sit cooped up in one area based on âTribesâ Dogâs just donât do that they would have way too much pent up energy and would need to run. Can you just imagine if this comic was realistic, the dog's muscles and bone structure would become weaker because they arenât doing anything really, they just sit in one place and that's it. Ok sorry, back to Aira :)Â
   (Airaâs first appearance form)
You see what I mean though? She resembles a sorta dog and cat hybrid mix. The paws are a dead giveaway as they look like a feline and she has retractable claws. Itâs a neat design in itself. I'll give kique that much of any positivity for his comic XD.Â
Very Interesting design features if you ask me. Anyways, Aira gets killed by kargo and she wakes up a normal dog again and sets off into the woods to heal her wounds I guess? Probably also went to seek shelter maybe. We later on see her again on page 138. Heavily bleeding still and this when she meets keirr and you know how it goes. He ends up helping her and sheâs taken aback from being surprised I guess, which is quite valid of her character, as we do eventually learn about her backstory and she was never treated kindly by others. Aira is a character whoâs a really good example of someone who would have a âfixationâ on someone, I donât think it would personally be a bad thing and realistic to her character because sheâs never been treated so kindly before and i donât think sheâd be able to help herself with that mindset. She obviously took comfort in keirr as she hesitated to follow him at first, but also because he was offering to help her and wasnât appearing a threat to her.
(oh look when keirr was actually a nice guy, before becoming a dick to her)Â
Moving forward. Keirr takes her back to her cave and was suspicious why she was living in such a large area for one individual. Aira remains mute and just eats the food she was given. Which I suppose was rude on her part, but her communication skills seemed to be lacking as she was trapped inside a body and couldnât talk for a long time, ok at least that makes sense because there is a valid reason enough for her to be doing that. Eventually keirr leaves her behind as she is now safely placed back into her sheltered area. But she ends up following him and keirr ends up venting to her about why he couldnât go back to his family, he was understandably grieving over zilas. I find these next few parts important to Airaâs character. She willingly sits there even if not knowing him for not a very long time. But she sits there and listens to him vent and doesnât question him, thatâs just an empathetic thing and it's wholesome to have seen that in the comic as they being the characters actually talked about things that troubled them, and it didnât lead to sex confrontation. She may not have known him very long, but sheâs a character that gives off a warm and comforting vibe, like a friend you can tell anything too without her judging because she obviously cares about others.Â
Later keirr ends up following her and getting to know her more. Then we see a page with them together and keirr is giving her physical therapy?Â
(hey keirr how do you know about PT?). They end up jumping over some logs to strengthen her legs or whatever. Kinda pointless in a way if she was born with a weak structure. Itâs like saying you can just magically cure a dog with mobility issues with just some PT. Wellll nope, itâs much harder and time consuming. Plus it won't fully heal someone with a physical disability, it may help strengthen her a bit, but she wouldnât be able to fully walk normally. Compare it to a dog who was born with swimmers syndrome or cerebellar hypoplasia. Thatâs a lot of PT work and also medication in order for them to walk to a degree. Itâs not something that can fully be cured, so Airaâs 180 later on would be really stupid when the author wrote her this way.Â
Now the next page (198) is important, keirr states he has to go back home cause heâs been gone for too long. Aira very clearly goes into panic mode and begs keirr to stay with her because she clearly states she doesn't wanna be âAloneâ Sheâs told to basically just shut up and heâll return soon whenever. Again Aira panics and kisses keirr forcefully.Â
Now I find that quite sad and interesting for her. Iâm not a therapist or a physician by any means. But this is my own take on this situation. Aira is using a tactic that almost feels like she is forcing her own affection onto keirr, not being in control of her own body due to her panicking. In a way, yes Aira did sexually assault keirr and he had every right to confront her about it because it was wrong of her. He leaves her behind anyway to go back to his family. Aira is then left with what looks like the expression of shock and most likely guilt because sheâs being left behind again and most likely processing stuff in her head. I'd like to believe that her mind is very scattered due to her having issues of being left behind.Â
We then proceed to see Aira again and most likely took keirrâs words to heart and goes back to the spirit of strength because she feels weak without and canât survive. She practically feels hopeless without that spirit, keirr stops her and then asks was it because of him? Keep that in mind. Aira is obviously upset in this scene and then tells keirr her back story and the things she did. She basically claims that she went back to the spirit because of Keirr, she was upset. Itâs like if someone told you as a person, that you werenât good enough for them, nor did they want you around them because to them you felt like a burden. I wouldnât be surprised if Aira was the first dog in the comic to commit suicide because she deems herself as a burden and was never accepted. If the spirits didnât exist and the comic took more of a dark turn, I think she would have been a character to have that type of mindset.Â
Eventually keirr takes Aira under his wing with a better understanding of her to a degree. She proceeds to then help him look for his family as sheâs apparently traveled all over the map while being a beast at the time and saw many tribes fall and create new ones. We meet the deer rp tribe and then kique puts them there because he doesnât know what to do with them at that moment. Aira is then very clearly seen to be hesitant and doesnât wanna join them because they were just going to ask if they saw family members of keirrâs. But then the 180 happens and they join anyway. Keirr becomes a dick and then judges fucking Aira behind her back because of the jarl confronting her leg structure. Yeah hey morons, maybe she's struggling because she got a giant ass heavy deer rack strapped to her head and has weak legs, antlers are not light things. Of fucking curse sheâd be struggling.Â
Honestly thatâs when I started hating keirr the most, like why the fuck are you jugding her? She literally told you she was born with a mobility disability and was tossed aside for it. *sighs* She ends up stuck with Keirr as a Herbalist, like kique? The fuck man, how stupid can you be. You made a character with a physical disability who struggles with that and you give her a rank that requires to walk a lot? Like what? Sheâd be a terrible herbalist because sheâd probably take much longer to even get to a location and back to the tribe. She has to carry her weight around. How frustrating, itâs like he literally forgets his own character traits they have. Like if you didnât wanna deal with a character with a disability then why give her one if you're gonna 180 it.
Page 481. The page that did it all for me and hated this dude's guts. Ok so even if Aira did end up stuck in a tribe she didnât wanna be, plus she looks absolutely miserable in the panel. She literally got excited when he returned with bootleg kargo after their little flirting session or whatever that was.Â
(look at the sweet baby⊠I love her)
Like damn keirr, you should be fucking honored that someone likes you for you and your company, plus she was even worried about you. He could have easily just told her he was being sent to scout, like keirr did you not forget that you joined the tribe when you didnât have too? Like at all. Aira stated to you that she didnât wanna be there and wanted to go back to looking for your family. But whatever, he gives her the cold shoulder and tells her to suck it up and build connections with a tribe of strangers. God I really want to just rewrite this page at times. Keirr should have welcomed her with open arms (or paws) and told her about his travels and that he didnât find what he was looking for unfortunately. Like why did you diss the only character who showed remorse and care for you. She obviously likes having you around and because you took her under your wing, you have no right to be a moody dick to her. This is when I see abandonment issues come into play. As someone who has abandonment issues myself, Aira is so frikin relatable. It hurts a lot when you think about it and you're stuck in your head wondering what you did or if you're doing something wrong to have someone push you away like that. Itâs the worst feeling ever and poor Aira here basically got rejected from someone she clearly cares about.Â
(She looks so lost and heartbroken in this page) But like keirr, dude how the fuck did you forget that she told you earlier on before you joined the stupid tribe. That she literally went back to the spirit because of YOU. Thatâs basically her struggle, Rejection and being alone. Iâm disappointed that some of the people were siding with keirr on this page. In reality if a friend asked about your mental health and you told them to fuck off in, just because your moody. Then be damned if they leave your ass. That's such a shitty thing to do to a person. Aira is no exception and didnât deserve any of that. And sadly it only gets worse for her as even when he did do that, she still looked out for him and had to save his ass from a ghoul.Â
(She cares about him still)
(Fuck you keirr, you should have thanked her)
Iâd also like to point something out. But in a certain page, Aira claims she lived with the meteor tribe. Iâm unsure if she was referring to a beast or when she was a normal dog before cursing herself?Â
If thatâs true then could Aira quite possibly be a victim to rape as well? I didnât think much of it at first because the wording confused me for a while. But going back it made me think. If she was used by MT before arenak rules then sheâs very much understanding when it comes to her trauma and issues she has. In conclusion Aira seems like a complex character with her own trauma and if it was written better, it would have been interesting to see her overcome her said trauma. Sheâs a literal victim, a lot more than what kique claims rogio and his âmental chainsâ bullshit. Aira didnât have a choice in her life, she didnât ask to be born the way she was or have to deal with not feeling wanted by others. I feel if kique actually knew how people worked when it came to trauma and oneâs mental health and emotions. Aira and keirr could have been a great duo for each other and helped support each other as friends and grew a good connection based on needing each other in a certain time because they were struggling. Sexual intercourse during trauma isnât something thatâll help someone. It's only a distraction really at the moment. But again it shouldn't be a way out when you're in your feelings and all that. Itâs quite unhealthy. Iâll say it again, Aira deserves better and needs out of this terrible comic.Â

Official Investigations Complete Guide
This is the 64th post in the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection Countdown: 17 days left until release!
Today's topic: the official Investigations Complete Guide!
Back when Investigations 1 first came out a Complete Guide was released in Japan about the game. I had never seen more than a few page scans from it as being Japan-exclusive (and later out of print) made it extremely inaccessible in the West. You can basically only hope to get it used and even then only if you're willing to part with an extortionate amount of money. Recently, I was extremely lucky to be able to get it for a moderate price and in very good condition so I wanted to talk about it!
First off, it's gorgeous! And I mean gorgeous! The paper is thick and high quality and the art is wonderfully crisp and vibrant, popping off the pages. It's a lot of fun to just thumb through it and look at all the illustrations.
The different sections are separated by these main character artworks, they're just the official ones for the game but they still look so pretty! (Poor Gumshoe gets shafted though. And I apparently have to correct myself on being confused why Shi-Long got a light green background in the online lottery merch as it looks like he's been associated with that background colour since the beginning. I still don't really think it fits him but oh well.)
I love the entire presentation of the guide! Even if it's just explaining the general gameplay concept to you (like in the picture below), it's incredibly fancy in how it's presented. For example, the page markings with the characters' faces from the key art, that looks epic! I also love the way the characters are constantly included, interjecting and explaining stuff to you. And with so pretty pictures, too, just look at Shi-Long here!
The guide also includes an entire introduction page for every character (or half a page for the victims), including the large full body illustrations, a short description, their age and height (!), a few pictures of their animations and one of their small sprite. I especially love the large shaded illustrations in the background. So beautiful!
Starting on the individual cases, every case has a character relationship chart at the beginning with all the relevant characters in each case and their relations shown. It's quite interesting how simple they start in the 1st case and how complicated they get by the 5th but also no surprise.
The coverage on the cases goes through every argument, rebuttal and investigation phase throughout the game pointing out the relevant stuff to look at, who to talk to and what to argue about. There are no explicit solutions given but the direction in which to take the argument or what you should think about to get to the answer, Miles often gives an additional hint in a short comment.
Throughout the entire guide Shi-Long provides additional tips and infos about various stuff in these yellow boxes. (Leave it to the top Interpol agent with the highest successful arrest rate to know all the tricks, I guess đ) Sometimes that's about gameplay mechanics (like how you know when you've investigated everything relevant in an area) but other times it's also explanations for certain concepts that are relevant for the case at hand (like what extraterritorial rights are and the role of an embassy). Shi-Long knows all the stuff!
Towards the end there's a section of all the answers and solutions to the rebuttals and investigation phases as a handy flowchart. You can easily recognize it by the large yellow spoiler "WARNING" banners on the page top and bottom. A pretty nice idea to not directly give you all the answers when just going through the guide but should you really be stuck, you can look up what to do here.
There's also a bunch of concept art, sketches and even some interviews after the cases of the game are done with. They even show some frames of the small sprite animations of various characters. It's in the pixel artstyle, of course, so they're somewhat outdated now with the new HD chibi sprites but I still think they're nice to look at. And all the concept art with the commentaries is amazing! I will definitely go into more detail on those sometime in the future but this post is already more than long enough.
There's even an entire list of all the evidence and all the profiles in the game, separated by case. And one page I found particularly nice (also provided by best agent Shi-Long, of course) is a list of all of the background cameos of previous characters! They don't say the name of the characters outright but they give you more than enough hints that you should be able to tell who they are (if you couldn't before) and I love how they have other characters comment on it.
And one last little treat: The bottom corner of every right page has a little Miles sprite on it in different frames of his various animations so that when you flick through the book they "move" like a little flipbook! That's so adorable!

W.I.T.C.H Fucking Sucked, change my mind
Oh look, another Winx Club fan who hates W.I.T.C.H, as if the world hasn't seen enough of those
But seriously, I saw absolutely nothing in this show that was really worthwhile. It's very boring and I enjoyed almost none of it. Honestly surprised I was able to finish all 52 episodes but I was very glad to be done in any case.
So like, let's talk about the main cast, the W.I.T.C.H in W.I.T.C.H if you will, and so if you will, let's talk about Will and co. (I am such poetry): Honestly the main five don't feel compelling at all, I take almost no interest in any of them as individuals. All it seems this show is focussed on is showing what they do as Guardians for the most part. Like, we never really see any emotional development with them, how being a Guardian affects their life or the pressure of trying to keep their identities hidden or prevent the bad guys from winning. We don't see of any of that and this just makes them such uninteresting characters. To be honest, they barely even have different personalities. I don't think I can point to a single thing that makes Irma much different from Hay Lin for instance, like they just all feel the same with only minor differences. Cornelia is the one exception as the blonde brat type similar to Stella (Winx) and Sasha (Amphibia), and she's probably my favourite just because of that, but that's not good grounds for a favourite character, it's just winning by default because of low competition.
The episodes also feel very intentionally separated and on their own. I get it's an episodical show but sometimes the characters can be so sporadic it feels like every episode was written by a different person with no synchronisation, characters feel so weirdly different from episode to episode sometimes, and the show regularly has arguments will happen for the dumbest reasons and I just argghh I hate it. This show sucks.
A few other characters that exist: -Blunk is like moderately funny at times -Caleb is... okay I guess he exists -Phobos is an alright villain but he just kinda sits around and waits and doesn't do anything, doesn't really come off as very threatening but there's not too much to hate about him per se -Nerissa is definitely a pretty threatening villain and learning about her backstory and plans and stuff was one of the more fun parts of the show for sure -Most of the characters in the rebellion don't feel very interesting tbh
Also the amount of times this show does stuff like very obviously in public view despite the fact it's still a secret just feels really weird, they've done so much that so many would've spotted them by now it made no sense.
Oh also the opening song is pretty banger I'll give the show that. "WE ARE, WE ARE, WE ARE W.I.T.C.H" it goes so hard
OKAY SPOILER TERRITORY NOW SKIP TO THE END IF YOU DON'T WANNA BE SPOILT:
Now it's time to talk about probably my biggest issue with this show, and that is Elyon, I hate everything about her. In the first half of season 1 we barely see her at all, which is insane because what happens next with her is easily the most important thing to happen at that point in the show. She goes onto join Phobos and it's discovered that she is actually his sister, which I think was pretty obvious throughout most of the first half of season 1. In any case, HOLY FUCKING SHIT THIS NEEDED MORE TIME LIKE WHAT THE FUCK. Elyon's departure felt so one-sided and rushed on two major fronts. The first was her grievances over being left out by W.I.T.C.H. This one is annoying because we only see a few instances of this happening, when Elyon was clearly way more important than that in the grand scheme of things, she should've been obviously left out way more and become more frustrated without answers. We see a little bit of this but not enough, like there should've been a lot more moments of W.I.T.C.H (and especially Cornelia) having to cover up why they didn't show up for things or had to leave and she knows they're lying but doesn't know the full story, it's a common trope but it would work. Additionally, being distrustful of her parents, when they appear IN THE SAME EPISODE SHE FUCKS OFF TO MERIDIAN, like we're just expected to accept that? Not like see what they've done to raise her slowly but surely and eventually decide to take matters into her own hands especially when her friends are unreliable but no she instead runs away with the creepy librarian who has gaslit her into distrusting anyone else??? Fuck off, this whole plot of Elyon in the first half of S1 is just so poorly planned, it needed WAY more attention that the show could have afforded if it chose to focus on what was actually important but of course not. And it only gets worse from here.
Elyon after this becomes so obnoxious in the way she speaks and acts. She talks like she's in some fucking play of sorts with this grandiose way of speech and it's so frustrating, and also she acts so annoyingly loyal to the sleazy guy who apparently is her brother with basically no hesitation. I probably wouldn't mind this as much if her departure felt actually justified and fleshed out but of course that's not the world we live in. God I hate Elyon so much.
Otherwise I will say I did not see Caleb being Nerissa's son at all. Nerissa being a former Guardian and trying to recruit her old friends is pretty cool. Also when she kidnaps Matt and transforms him into that guy was a bold move, I like when villains get personal like this it makes them feel very threatening, Nerissa is definitely makes season 2 better for sure, though that doesn't mean it's that good.
The ending of the show was kinda strange with them bringing back Phobos thinking that would go swimmingly and then he gets eaten by his green monster friend and then everything happens it was a very odd ending that I felt extremely neutral on. Like it's just kinda there, what you see is what you get. But I was glad about one thing that this show was over, I didn't want to watch it anymore lol, I didn't really feel excited that the characters overcame something because it just didn't feel like there was anything to care about, I wish this show didn't suck so bad.
END OF SPOILERS
So yeah, this show is not that good, it has some okay moments but most of the show is boring, uneventful, and poorly written. I do know about the comics and I haven't actually read them I've only watched the show, maybe those are better and I know only a small amount of them got adapted for TV. But from what the show gives me, it's not great
I give season 1 like a 4/10 and season 2 like a 5/10 so 4.5/10 is my personal rating for W.I.T.C.H.
I've been very negative about this show but to be totally honest I didn't want to be, I was genuinely excited going in knowing it was similar to Winx Club, hoping to remind me of what made me like that show so much in the first place, but I was quickly hit with the reality this show was just not great, though since then I rewatched Winx Club S1 and I can say I definitely don't like it as much as I did before, Winx S1 had always been my favourite season but pending my rewatch of the others I think there's a good chance that could change. It seems since I last was into Winx I've learnt how media analysis works, I can take that. Anyway, that's my opinion of W.I.T.C.H.
P.S: Pls don't hate me this is just my opinion if you like this show and I know plenty of people do it's totally okay we can all like what we like and dislike what we dislike and I just happen to not like W.I.T.C.H very much OKAY? Have a good day.

The colour palette of euphoria characters and how they Evolve or stay the same.
Letâs star off with Rue ,
Rue , is about 15 to 17 years of age, I guess what confuses me is that she seems to be in the same classes, as Cassie and Maddie when her friend, high school friend, is the younger sister of Cassie~ Lexi,ïżŒ (really thatâs besides the point )ïżŒ
these two have known each other since they were little girls preschool age nursery age, the later years although I still think these guys are really young and know that she went through this drug addiction to fentanyl and pills, a school age is forever going to stunt, and thatâs what makes it so emotional is the age of her ,Rue , because she was around her father who was dying of cancer and she would sit with him they were very close. She would sit with him and take some of his pills to feel closer to him to fill in his mindset to escape the crushing of inevitability of his death.đ
Anyways, as far as Rue fashion goes, itâs all about comfort, and staying stuck by wearing her fatherâs Hoodie, itâs about baggy tops, army pants, and cut off T-shirts, ïżŒwith a mix of jewellery maybe a couple of rings , I donât think it actually shows them much of music taste that influences their clothing, where with the previous generations a lot of your clothing with influenced by the type of music you listen to and had a big as, where is all these girls have similar kind of style route that just alters between alternative, girly, and Couture, which I donât know in high school age are you cannot afford it let alone being an adult itâs hard, so we see, we see her wearing army colours green khaki . And the deep red., even when Jules does her make up itâs not over the top we just see, the reflective of tears, on her eyes when sheâs at the funfair,đȘ so I think these colours represent, youth , but also , a need for individuality ,,,,,, And hiding behind her Hoodie sunglasses, because of her addictionđ¶ïž which is common, a lot of the time addict, hide behind their hair, clothing, jewellery, and other such things, maybe as a distraction from whatâs really going on but itâs good to know Iâve heard an addict talk about, Iâve even heard Nikki sixx saying his hair got less and less big, when he was away from his addiction.
An evening in the next season and her colours donât change too much because sheâs got worse, with her habit and the people that sheâs associated with, she goes through agonising with during these points youâve seen more of her, where her hair is tied up, and you can see all the weaknesses and the frailness of her body . And her skin..
ïżŒWe see her do well towards the end of, and at the play after her breakdown /withdrawals ,,,, which Jules Elliot , her mum and sister witnnese3d were she said loads of angry hurtful words .
I feel like the end of the series we see her like he said with her hat up we see a more openness and willing to engage, Iâm feeling more clear.ïżŒ
CASSIE
Cassie in euphoria, is similar to ruin in a sense that she alternate between two colours, her colour palette being baby pink and baby blue, letâs just look, at the baby aspect to these names, because Cassie and Lexiâs dad, ends up becoming a opiate addict, leaving the house , would drive them around high, and put their lives in danger, but Cassie has his loyalty to the man, there is massive daddy issue, missing in her life, so when he comes to get his stuff in the middle of the night, knows that he can wrap Cassie around his finger, and get his stuff to sell. Itâs a really sad scene.
So then you see her having no loyalty, to the mum, or even her sister or best friend, because maybe she sees it as her mumâs fault, when this isnât the case at all, they both had a addiction issues, mum was more of a drinker,.
Colour palette is interesting, when sheâs going through something hard, her abortion, or her scenes with Nate, where sheâs trying to do her beauty routine in the morning we see her in the blue more,.
But sheâs having more of a manic moment, we see her switch to pink e.g. the Jacuzzi, and also the play. she gets very drunk at night and really feeling herself.
where she comes in looking like sheâs across between Jules and Maddie, with the make up and the outfit, but Cassie has a very volatile side, itâs like BPD. the first season we see her being called a slut for sharing nudes to people and boys getting her to do things she probably didnât actually want to do, because he really wants to send naked pictures itâs definitely not my kind of thing anyway Iâm not shaming anyone but I hate it.
When we see her evolve, into going out with her best friend boyfriend, not long after they broke up we see this other side of Cassie.
That is broken from the, even when she goes to get him in hospital, she is wearing the blue again, and when they say about the play Oklahoma she is crying and in blue again, the last scene ,where we see her have a fight with Maddie, they show the blue side of the make-up.
When she says this is just the beginning, because sheâs putting herself through the torment of going out with a man who is emotionally unavailable, many of us women with daddy issues do.ïżŒ
We sometimes see her in white, specially when she becomes young woman and all the creepy men at the parties are trying to, be inappropriate with her almost like taking her innocent with the white. People donât know the colours sometimes, but I think theyâre very prevalent.
Maddy
Maddie out of everybody in the show has the most evolution with her style and contrast because of what she goes through maybe, some of the clothes she chooses to wear and not of her choice out of her boyfriendâs choice like things he buys for her she doesnât like apart from the coat which she had wanted for years and he knew that which he thought could make ownership .so when we see her, with sheâs often wearing patterns such as Louis Vuitton or matching coordinates, either way when sheâs with him sheâs wearing these matching outfits so in the first series thatâs what we made me see her in cherries or flowers or some kind of thing that makes them match same with T-shirts, she also has a style very similar Aaliyah .
they used a kind of clothing. A lot of the outfits were similar to what wear in the day. There are a few outfits that are completely similar. One of them are pink top where itâs cut down the middle most of the time in the show we drawn to Maddie fashion because itâs very out there and something that she cares about a lot but the same time very powerful unlike her parents relationship she doesnât want to be like them.
And then the second season we see her style really change when she is looking after the little boy and she gets to try on this womanâs clothing mum she wants to be a cat woman but at the same time keep her power so inevitably she doesnât go well with Nate as well as Cassie does But often these powerful women can have a that makes you feel powerless often shock people I donât know why because he kind of men like to take away these womenâs spirit .
I call them spirit crushes
We see her in rich Royal purple and ,
green which signifies money and power
Also, the outfits she was on the first episode of season two is very memorable, the black gloves and the hairstyle also I think what people miss from that episode is when she goes into the bathroom. I feel like she knows what is going on not necessarily with Cassie but Nate with a girl because when the guy she has a conversation with there heâs like oh my God, thereâs a girl passed out in the bottle and she doesnât wanna because then that means she has her boyfriend cheating so instead sheâs turning her blind eye because she knows that outcome in this situation.
But the evolution of we , she could be one of the women that she watched in season one who come into the salon and have their feet and manicures done she wants to be one of these women, I hardly blame her, being rich and spending money to fabulous amazing.
I think at the end of season two is the evolution of getting clean and also, itâs in Hollywood. Itâs shining a light that people really do get addicted that young these Beverly Hills children., itâs normal to them. I know in the case of it was dying but youâve got a remember they changed the story a bit to things to make it. I donât know better or for protection or whatever but we see the evolution of that Maddie will be a bit away from here and can get clean, characters I feel like the main part of I feel like I have a bit of all of them inside of me . I would like to Channel Maddie, because Iâm giving massive Rue on drugs vibe at the moment, you think what do you think euphoria character? Colour palette signifies to each person..

stuff I noticed on (???)th rewatch:
Even tho for plot reasons it cant be him, Laurence Fishburne aka Alpha Trion voices the narrator in the archives, fitting since Alpha Trion was the prime in charge of preserving history
Steve Blum voices one of the guard
Shockwave alt mode model spotted when Orion was falling
Orion was just about to enter the miners barracks when when he got caught up while he was fleeing from the archives
Love the little details of the miners knowing each other (miners going "oh. It's Orion." when he was on the train or Moonracer and D-16 silently aknowledging one another, or later the miners from their sectors recognizing them in the race)
Jazz behind Orion in the train and Ironhide talking with Arcee in the background
Cute
Kinda horrifying that they are supposed to leave a fellow bot to die as per protocol. I guess one bot dying is better than three but still, you could already see the system was unfair, they did save Jazz but got no recognition for it. Also despite her irritation, Elita was throwing those supporting sticks like javelins to help them
Jazz being cared for by a cogless bot who looks a bit like ratchet, tho it cant be ratchet since he's namedropped as a doctor later
D-16 helping Orion up
Before she got fired and based on their miner badges, D-16 was a tier away from being at Elita's rank (meanwhile Orion's a shit miner based on his badge alone)
Wheeljack most likely also being fired by Darkwing in the background (speaking of, its funny that the explosion started with Wheeljack)
The scrapped punching bag still being in the background in the barracks
Orion's hand on D-16's shoulder when Sentinel talks about the matrix, then him taking it away when he says he didnt find it
D-16 probably has changed berth before, at the end of the movie, we see that he initially added a huge Megatronus sticker to its left side, but the one we see him sleep in doesnt have it, or maybe in 50 cycles, the sticker simply got damaged with time and had to be removed.
Speaking of, D-16's sticker got damaged FAST
Steve Blum also voices the Iacon 5000 announcer, it wouldnt surprise me that hed be one of the voice actors with the most appearances in the transformers franchise as a wholeđ
I believe the only mention of the term "cybertronian" in the movie is when Sentinel calls the Iacon citizens his "cybertronian family"
Sentinel lied about the "tomorrow all shifts will be off" for the day of the race: when we first see Orion and D-16 in the race, it cuts to Elita and a few other bots working
Iacon 5000 board:
fairly consistent and lots of familiar names! (RODDY!!! He was in 6th place before falling back to 9thđ, and Chromia climbed her way up until she was second place at the very end before winning)
D-16's quiet "what is happening" during the big laugh
Darkwing actually being a decepticon in G1 is gonna be so funny in this continuity. Hey what if the guy you relentlessly bullied turned into not only your future boss but also one of the two strongest individuals on this planet and he is known for his rage and lust for revenge
The gag of Bee showing the duo what his job is and telling them he's supposed to pick out what's salvagable among the trash while his helmet he uses as an exemple, smth clearly useful, is just fucking gone in the fire
Nitpicking here and 100% paying attention to details that dont matter but Alpha Trion's map reinforce my belief that cybertron is like. A Tiny Planet. Perhaps the train is incredibly fast and get them closer to the location but it still only take them a day on foot (and later on wheels) to get halfway across the planet
"Easy! ... But it wont be easy."
Prowl and Ironhide loading the crates onto the train, then the two talking in the bg, then finally leaving when Elita goes to investigate the train
Speaking of, love the locked crates system, its clever
Also Elita showing she already know how to fight by the way she beat the trio's ass, which explains her fighting skills later in the movie, she's not a badass out of nowhere
This sign which after looking a while at the cybertronian alphabet I believe say "No Bot Here"? (Not sure on the "Here")
Bee shoving Orion away from the falling crate in the train
Cybertron constantly shiftingđ that planet is aliveđ
D-16 helping Bee out of the ground
Orion waiting for D-16 to catch up
Cybertron is also 75% metallic rock formations apparently, judging by the scenery the gang passes by
In addition, everything organic looks foreign, so this is more going into hc territory but maybe the quintessons did bought organic flora with them during the war, "contaminating" the planet, which then could grow into forests
D-16 is downright TINY next to Megatronus' head, which makes the comparaison with Megatron at the end (who is most likely as tall as Megatronus thanks to his cog and his second transformation) kinda jarring
A flower straight up has teeth, I genuinely dont believe its native to Cybertron
Alpha Trion says the war against the quintessons lasted "thousand of cycles" and its fascinating to me: the original storyboards had Orion stating that the war had been over for 1000 cycles- now changed to 50 cycles for the movie and 1) it means that Sentinel's reign is RIDICULOUSLY SHORT all things considered, this is like, after 10 years of war, being in charge only for a MONTH before it all comes crashing down... (now that I think about it, I think my brain wouldve liked the original "Sentinel ruled for 1000 cycles" more) and 2) it somewhat gives me the impression that cybertronians are... actually pretty young? As a race?
During the sand flashback, Prima (or Liege Maximo, they have the same colors here) goes down first buried under Quintessons
Optimus will inherit his matrix axe from Zeta
Also Zeta's head looks like a crown
The Quintessons' main ship not only look organic, which is gross and cool af, but the entrance from which the quintessons soldiers and general came down straight up looks like a mouth with teeth
Orion shaking his head when D-16 says he only cares about himself
Biolights visible during the gang's first transformationsđ
D-16 and Elita bumping each other after their transformation, Orion bonks Bee in the chest as well
D-16 IMMEDIATELY putting his fists up at the noise, voice already getting lower too
Big mushrooms
Even bigger trees, the trunk alone must be the size of a human skyscraper, and THIS looks like a proper forest with dirt and everything
Cute
D-16's eyes go from yellow with tint of orange to full orange after he goes "I. Got. It." to Orion. They go back to yellow the next time we see him
Sentinel kept the Primes' table with all thirteen chairs
Luna-1 and 2 cameos
THEY REFER TO THE PLACE WHERE THE HIGH GUARD IS HIDING AS A "BUSTED OLD SHIP", IT STILL HAS FLESH AND BONES AND AN ACTUAL SPINE, WHICH MEANS ITS A QUINTESSON'S SHIP AND YES THEY ARE ALIVE
They really build a fort around this ship, it has barricades and everything
People already know this but Starscream's throne resembles his crown and cape from the '86 movie
D-16 shakes his head when Bee calls the High Guard "prestigious", this is after the shot on his perplexed face when Starscream gives them their options
D-16 also clench his fist in the bg when Starscream mention they saw Sentinel's betrayal and when the Primes fell
RAMJET POG
Everyone already noticed D-16 licking his teeth before the headbutt
Btw how did the High Guard know his full actual name? Orion only ever called him "Dee"
Thrust was SUPER into D-16's speech
Obvious, but D-16's fully go orange at that point
Airachnid and Sentinel's forces shoot yellow blasts, the High Guard shoots purple
Again, another one people know about but Thundercracker swaps with Skywarp between shots (G1 refđ)
Nothing that proves this, but there seems to be two types of roads in Iacon: permanent ones, and the ones that build themselves as you drive on them, when Orion jumps down to Iacon, he lands on a road and then changes to a autonomous one
THEY GOT ROBO-STREET FIGHTER
The plaza they fight on at the end is directly below the prime tower
If you wanna have fun just focus on any background fight between a seeker and an eradicon when they fight in the tower
In the dogfight before they leave the tower you have Soundwave blasting bots away from Shockwave's tail and then Stascream doing the same for Soundwave before also blasting a bot Orion kicked away. Teamwork
Sentinal has his IDW mask!
D-16 is shooting at Sentinel in tank mode in the background while Orion, Elita and Bee make their way to the broadcast station
It looks like Elita crashed through an office
First look at maccadam maybe? (And was able to at least translate what was above the screen)
I have nothing to say for Sentinel's entire execution scene. Got caught up in it again. Cinema.
The ground literally make way for Orion's falling body and then Primus(' spark) himself grabs him to accelerate his fall toward him
Soundwave, Shockwave and Starscream uses each their specific weapons during the "All hail Megatron" part
Optimus tucks his head in turtle-style to dodge Megatron's bullets and its a neat callback to when he transformed for the first time
Ive noticed they often use smoke to save budget by not showing transformation sequences but its ok bc this still looks cool af, they still showed Megatron transform into his tank mode and you can see his head disappearing under the cannon I love it
Megatron can reattach mid-transformation his tank cannon that Optimus tore away and shoot him afterward with it, god this is so fucking dope
This fight is sick as fuck
Optimus looks SO confused just before his axe manifest
Out of the SSSquad, Soundwave completely miss his entrance and slide across accomplishing nothing, he misses his next punch too, Shockwave straight up does not leave the ground 0.5 seconds after he enters the fight, and at least Starscream has the most action out of all of them but also he still gets yeeted into oblivion
You can see Optimus' axe go from his left hand to his right to cut through Megatron's fusion cannons, the yellow energy passes by the matrix and you can see it via his biolights, which btw were lit since he manifested his axe in the first place
Megatron's shaky breaths
Megatron's split-second bitter smile before he spat that "Prime"
And finally, the red paint of Optimus reflecting on Megatron, making his face as red as his eyes
During the flashback, the words "D-16" and "Megatronus Prime" on the berth are written in english and not with cybertronian letters
Also I love pain and being in pain
Megatron was driving a whole 90° up to the surface holy shit
Handsome
The movie takes over the span of 4 days:
Orion trespasses into the archives in the morning of the first day defore work, they have a "normal" day at work afterward and Elita gets demoted, Sentinel announces the Iacon 5000 and Orion wakes D-16 during the night to tell him his plan to run in the race
Second day and day of the race, we have seen that Sentinal have lied about the "tomorrow all shifts off" line so yeah, bots were still working and still had to work after the race, which probably took place only in the morning. Then enough time has passed when Orion and D-16 waited in the medical bay for miners to go back to work and reach 150% quota, then they got dumped with Bee at sublevel 50 and the next instance of time we see is when the train leaves for the surface, during the time we see Iacon at night, so this whole ordeal of waiting and escaping probably took all afternoon and likely night.
Then we see either the sun rising while the quartet in on the train, I choose to believe its the sun rising since we just saw Iacon at night. Anyway then it'd be day 3: they travel to the location of Alpha Trion and escape Quintessons in the morning, witness Sentinel's betrayal, get their cogs and transform for the first time in the afternoon, then travel back to Iacon at night and get caught by the High Guard, then Airachnid embushes the High Guard and there's the whole battle.
Orion gets out of the rubble and its no longer night, so that's day 4, then the rest of the movie happens till the end, and based on the lighting, Id say it took place almost entirely during that morning
We mightve gotten a glimpse of Jazz's alt mode in the epilogue
AAAAAAH
Counting the end credits scene, the movie ends with the 80s decepticons logo!
AAAAAAAAAH
I love this movie Im gonna rewatch another five times
#see this is how you can tell thats its completely over for me. im gone#im in too deep as they say#this really was my movie of the year#tagging later#tf

I jog after the three of them as they head towards the village. I donât know how they walk so fast in their chunky boots, but they do, leaving me scuttling behind with my bag jostling around childishly on my back. âHey, Evan,â I tap his shoulder and he glances at me, âI was thinking about what we talked about that day in the park?â
âWhen we were drawing?â
âYeah, do you remember we talked about getting detention and stuff?â
He smirks, âYeah, I remember.â
âWell guess what?â I whip my bag off my back and unzip it, holding it open so he can see what Iâve stashed inside. He stops walking and peers in with disbelief.Â
âWait, seriously?â
âYeah, when you were talking about how youâd had yours confiscated I couldnât stop thinking about how it was such a waste, you know?â
âWhere did you get them?â
Jen and Michelle stop walking too and circle back around curiously to see what all the fuss is about.Â
âJude has fireworks,â Evan explains with a mischievous glint in his eye I have never seen before. Jen begins to chuckle into her hand, âOh of course he does, fucking hell. Judie, whereâd you get them?â
âNot important. I was thinking that since itâs a clear night we could let them off.â
Michelle looks uncertain, âWhere, though? I donât know, it feels like a lot of effort, and what if we get caught?â
âDonât listen to her,â Evan says, voice now trembling with more excitement than I expected he was capable of. âItâll be fun, câmon, Shell, we can go over to Dollymount strand. Nobody will be there at this hour.â
âIs it safe?â
âYes,â Evan and I say together, even though Iâm not sure and he likely isnât either. She looks to Jen who shrugs indifferently and says âWell, why not? Itâs a shame to waste them. Theyâll only be sitting under his bed otherwise.â
Exactly,â I sling my arm around her, âAnd who doesnât love fireworks? Câmon, Michelle, carpe diem.â
âFine,â she says, âI suppose.â
Dollymount strand, a wide, sandy beach strewn with seaweed and coke cans is dark under the moonless sky. After another wet, miserable week our feet crunch over damp sand further and further down the beach and away from the lights of Clontarf until the night has cloaked us from the eyes of any late evening walkers still looping the seafront.Â
I shrug my old, ratty school bag from my back to toss it at our feet open, the array of fireworks hidden inside the open, zip-toothed maw of it.Â
âI canât see that,â Jen drawls, so I pull out my trusty Nokia phone with the built-in torch and blast a beam of light at my wares.Â
âI forget what the individual fireworks are called,â I admit, âBut, uh, I know I have the spinny ones and the ones that go like,â I try to show them what I mean by drawing a high arc with my hand and then making an explosion sound, âLike that, huh? And that one there goes like pew pew pew, and those ones in the middle are kind of disappointing, but theyâre nice to set off in between the others, they go like-â
âNobody knows what the fuck you mean,â Jen interrupts.
âYeah I think we should just light them,â Evan glances at me, âDo you need a lighter?â
âNah, I got one,â We start pulling them out of my bag and sticking them in the sand while Michelle does a cursory check to make sure theyâre all actually pointing the right way, which is sensible. I probably wouldnât have thought of that.Â
My lighter throws a flickering glow over my hand and I let out a steadying breath, âOkay.â
âCareful,â Michelle pipes up from where she and Jen have retreated back towards the dunes. Evan stays put, and with his lighter he starts at the other end of the line, we light them, one my one, their bottoms exploding in sparks of fire, burning, burningâŠ
âWoah!â Jen whoops as the first one rockets off over Dublin bay, screeching, whirling, ending with a sunburst of light that crackles and drops gracefully towards the sea.Â
I laugh with delight as the second one goes, then the third, and the fourth, and as I glance to my left I see that Evan is doing the same, his face lit up with glee with the lights of the sky bouncing over his face. I recognise that look, and for a moment I could swear Iâm seeing myself.Â
âWhat do you think, huh?â I call out to him, and he whirls on me, dazed, as though heâs just remembered that I am there.Â
âPretty sweet,â and as he laughs wildly I feel such an inherent sense of knowing and understanding about this weird little emo kid that it makes my throat strangely tight.
âI know how you feel, Evan, itâs like, I canât ever explain it to people, but nothing really feels as good as doing dumb shit does.â
âYouâre right, it doesnât.â
A dense burst of stars explodes overhead, so big and so loud and so enthralling that we stand beneath it fixated until it vanishes into the air overhead, it's crackling in harmony with the sound of the girls whooping somewhere in the dunes, âI think there's⊠something about guys like us,â I bellow as the firecrackers begin spluttering and screaming in their liftoff, âMost people donât understand what it is, or why, honestly, but I do.â
âYou do?â
âYep.â
He huffs out a laugh, âYeah. I think I actually believe you.â

Baby write me a jealous Arima, Tsukiyama and Yomo too please!!
Hope ya doing good with your work stuff and that your tattoo is satisfactory
I read this and was creeped out because I forgot I said I have a new tattoo. I was like "đ± how did they know đ±"
Work&my tattoo are both good thanks. Hope you're well too.
Jealousy hcs pt2
Arima
Deeeeefinitely gets jealous, although you'd never guess by his outward appearance
I think Arima is someone who doesn't fully understand his own feelings at times, and when he gets a certain way, will overcompensate to appear "normal"
So when he starts feeling jealous, he'll become more friendly, more chatty, more SMILEY in public around his s/o...
...which is odd because he's a reserved guy. That will be an indicator that something's off
Y'know how the guy is too busy for life? Yeah, well jealous Arima will suddenly find the time to be more present in his partner's life. Will be able to hang out more, will show up unexpectedly. Definitely odd
In public, there's nothing too obvious to suggest he's feeling upset about anything. Or at least to those who don't know him too well. Behind closed doors, it's different
If his s/o or even someone who he is just interested in, starts paying a lot of attention to someone else, Arima will not hesitate to ask about it
It will be abrupt too:
S/o: *pottering about the house happily, living their best life*
Arima: "Why are you spending so much time with X? Do you have feelings for them?"
And you better believe he'll be SCRUTINIZING their reaction more than their reply
I also think that, if not satisfied with their response or how things are going, Arima is the type to snoop through their phone
Isn't above "having a friendly chat" with the other person whilst being in uniform and carrying a briefcase
Idk, I think Arima is a very grey character, I don't think he's had many opportunities at healthy relationships, and being a nosey detective, infringing on privacy isn't as toxic a trait to him as it would be to others'
Damn, Arima đ«€
Tsukiyama
In part 1, for some characters, I said that they wouldn't really get jealous because their confidence is good...
Tsukiyama isn't immune to jealousy; he's confident, mostly, but he's also very competitive. If his s/o or love interest seems to be distracted by someone else, he'll notice
And want to know why
He doesn't approach his s/o to begin with. Instead, he wants to find out about the other person who is demanding their attention. Jealous Shuu becomes somewhat of a social media stalker
Once he's figured out what this person is about, he'll become more verbal about it with his partner. There'll be questions disguised as "curiosity" - which is kinda accurate, but he's mostly gauging his partner's reaction
He'll encourage an opportunity for them to meet. Shuu will likely want to arrange something so he can ensure he has the upper hand
If all went to plan and he was able to meet the person, it would go one of two ways: he'd either be the perfect, polite partner, or he'd be a dick. It depends on what the other person does
If it goes badly, and if the other person is a ghoul, Shuu isn't above being openly hostile. He knows his ability, is well-aware of the power-house he has behind him in terms of his family, and simply wouldn't be able to help himself. If the individual was human, think cutting remarks and showboating
He's also one to casually point out the other person's flaws to his partner
Gets argumentative. Snappy. He won't admit he's jealous, but will find some issue with this person and use that as a reason for why his s/o should stay away from them
Failing that, he may "speak đđ" to the other person.
Yomo
These hcs are going to be all over the place, because emotionally, Yomo is all over the place, so I'm staying true to character lol.
Jealous type đŻ
The thing with this idiot is he has a lot of very big feelings but no idea how to express them
So when his partner starts talking about a work colleague, or hangs out with someone new, Yomo can't articulate:
"Spending time with you is the best part of my day, and now all you do is talk about X. Why? Am I losing you to them? How do I stop this?", instead he sulks
He may start cooling off a little. In his head, he may think that if he backs off, his partner will chase after him. A bit like a "test" of sorts
Whenever the other person is mentioned, or is in the same place Yomo is in, the entire atmosphere changes. Yomo is very good at giving off "I really don't like you" vibes. Makes everyone feel very uncomfortable
Has moments where he's exceptionally clingy. He'll get grumpy if his partner is messing around on their phone, will be more tactile and cuddly...he wants their attention
Can get very shitty with his s/o. It goes beyond his usual one-word answers. It seems like he's looking for a fight all the time
Fortunately, I don't think he's the type to be able to maintain this behaviour for too long. Unfortunately, I think he IS the type to clear the air by having a big row with his partner rather than a conversation
He'll get everything off his chest, thoroughly confuse/upset his s/o and then feel terrible about it
He won't feel jealous anymore (kind of) but he will feel bad for causing these problems to begin with. Will then need reassurance that everything's going to be ok
(see what I mean about him being a mess?)
