i imagine mondstadt has those little kid play things where the children act out tales of legend like the fall of decarabian
jean has been typecast as gunnhildr since she was old enough to say lines. “wind wisp” is like the baby sheep role where all kids under a certain age just get put in white sheets and run around going “whoooosh” on cue

I have a wierd feeling that rosaria would in fact... not hate it?? Idk thats just me also consider wind swept scales as an au name
Rosaria would not hate it! She would if she thought she was being coddled and protected, but the truth is that the fact that Barbara is the size of two horses and has teeth and claws does not make her any more intimidating or fight-capable than in canon and they both know it. So Barbara bringing her tea and cake and shyly offering to sing for her and sharing a room would all be fine, if Barbara was willing to acknowledge she wanted to do it. Frankly Rosaria thinks it's stupid that she refuses to because of stupid social conventions. She would be happy to be the protector of their lair.
Also that's a great AU name and I'm taking it, thank you! :>

Me when im in a worlds best repressor contest and my opponent is Barbara Pegg from genshin impact : o^0.... but on a more serious note i am now interested in the jean con angst hours (does lisa at least blow someone up?) - 🦁
Lisa threatens to, but I don't think anyone actually gets blown up except a number of members of the Abyss Order, since they're ultimately at fault. Anyway, under a cut for the non-con/dubcon/self-imposed religious obligations/etc.:
So! The way dragon reproductive cycles work here is that they basically produce eggs/proto-eggs internally, there's a short window where they can get fertilized, and then they either get laid unfertilized chicken-style or get reabsorbed unlaid, I haven't decided which. That short fertile period is mildly uncomfortable but that's about it, it's not a heat situation here. All the same, Jean is in it when Stormterror shows up!
(I am distinguishing deliberately here between Stormterror, with the Abyssal taint going on, and Dvalin, without it.)
Stormterror is also a dragon. He is a significantly bigger dragon--a Discord buddy drew a size comparison at one point but I'm not sure they want me to post their stuff on them, so I'll just say that he's four or five times the size of a standard not-the-Anemo-Sovereign dragon. He is running mostly on pain and the Order's lies and, most relevantly here, instinct. That instinct tells him other dragons are the biggest threat to him, so he does attack them directly; when Jean ends up at a disadvantage trying to keep him distracted while the knights she was with bolt, he gets her pinned down and instinct also tells him what state she's in. The silver lining is that he doesn't kill her, but, well. 🙃
Anyway. Dragon abortion is not actually hard, you just lay the eggs and then crush them, but this is where the self-imposed religious obligation comes in: this is one of the Four Winds, and, furthermore, while Jean is trying her hardest not to have "kill him" on the table, c.f. the canon archon quest it's not one she can entirely rule out if that's what's necessary to save the people of Mondstadt. (Not to mention the possibility of the Fatui doing it on their own.) So she'll just consider that a silver lining too. This definitely isn't traumatic or anything, she just has to focus on her job, and not tell anyone because she knows her knights would flip out, and figure out how she's going to deal with it when they develop enough she can't keep them internally anymore, and and and-
And then she's out with a small group of knights, escorting Sucrose and Lisa as they study places there's signs of Stormterror to see if they can science out wtf is going on with him, and either the Abyss Order (who have realized that Stormterror, inconveniently, deliberately avoids fighting/injuring/trying to kill her for some reason) or the Fatui (who see an opportunity to get her out of the way), I haven't decided which, takes advantage of them being under one of those big Stormcrest cliffs and drops it on the party. Jean manages to keep any of the humans from being crushed by throwing herself over them, but now she is covered by half a mountain's worth of rock, curled to create a little pocket for them, and essentially being slowly crushed beached-whale-style. None of the humans can get out to get help. No one knows when they're going to get found.
Jean is badly injured and descending very quickly into shock and agitation and eventual feverishness, and fixates--because it's the one thing she can fix at the moment--on the fact that if she dies, the eggs die with her, unless someone else can carry them. She is so, so sorry to ask, but these are, again, the eggs of one of the Four Winds, and she's only been able to cope so far by making that of overriding importance in her own mind, so....
Anyway all four of them volunteer, Lisa, Kaeya, and Amber to soothe Jean going absolutely nuts about this (since it looks like it's very much her dying wish) and on Sucrose's part For Science, but there's three eggs and four of them so the adults in the room look at each other and then tell Amber no. I have dwelled at length upon the oviposition scene because, well, I'm into that, but will not go into all the fine details right now. XD The upshot is that, by a stroke of luck, Eula and Mika come upon them and free them just before Jean actually dies, and if an out-of-place cecelia-scented wind led Eula there and Mika feels like Barbatos is listening extra-close to his healing prayer, well, those things are certainly unrelated to a foreign traveler finding a bard trying to soothe Stormterror in the woods like four days later.
From here on the archon quest continues mostly as usual, with a side of Jean continuing to struggle with her dragon instincts. The main additional complication is that Lisa is a lot more amenable to being cossetted and pampered than Kaeya is (and shortcuts all of Jean's "but I can't hoard people" self-revulsion by being like, are you not going to take me home with you? aren't I owed a little luxury here? also I am absolutely demanding to pet your horns and you can't deny me right now, cutie), due to Kaeya's usual issues but also because Kaeya is also not human in this. :>c Pure-blooded Khaenri'ahans are essentially underground krakens (because ages ago I read a series where krakens and dragons are magical opposites, water and the deeps vs. fire and the sky, and that's stuck with me ever since), and he's also soaked in Abyssal energy, and between the two things he knows the egg is going to come out even worse than Stormterror if it's allowed to hatch, and the draconic elemental magic is reacting super badly with the Abyssal energy. This wasn't going to be a problem because Jean was going to die and he was immediately going to figure out how to get it out again and destroy it because fuck Jean's self-imposed religious obligations, he does not care about the "one of the Four Winds" thing, he only cared that she not be panicking about it in her last moments, and he's so so glad that she survived but also now this is a huge problem.
I will skip a lot of the Jean/Kaeya angst here but will note that this is when Barbara comes in, because he eventually loses his ability to hold human shape and decides to flee through Cider Lake, which Barbara with her Oceanid-Hydro senses immediately pings and goes to investigate, which means Jean hears that Barbara has gone to confront something Abyssal in the lake and dives in, and after a bunch of abortive fighting everything comes out and Jean reaffirms her care for Kaeya etc. etc. etc. while Barbara understandably loses her shit about a situation she'd been deliberately mislead about (Jean was keeping it vague about whose eggs these were, and figured she could get away with it because they'd all come out Anemo anyway so the "is it Master Diluc or Captain Eula or some mystery third dragon of a minor or foreign line" stringboarders would have no evidence. Unfortunately she also left Barbara with the same ambiguity). The solution here is indeed egg removal and destruction, with Venti and the now-recovered Dvalin's blessing.
Anyway Venti and Dvalin are both horrified and also take the remaining two hatchlings, once they hatch, because they both think Jean honestly should never have felt obliged to have them in the first place and she doubly shouldn't have to raise them. And Jean gets to install both Lisa and Kaeya in her home and romance them, with options on Eula, whose desire for vengeance makes some things clear about her own feelings. So it does end more-or-less happily, or at least bittersweetly! But it's Very Bad for a while first. :>
