Ugh Excuse Me? (screenshots at bottom of post)
Alright so ladies and gentlemen. Turns out kique and his white-knights in fact stalking our tumblr posts. Can't say I'm surprised, but whatever. you guys have your opinions and we have ours. First of all we are just people would love to speak our opinions without being sidelined because you're a fragile as fuck 32 year old man? like man act your age. second of all, I for one do not make these posts to "bully" or anything. I am simply putting you on the spot for all the shit you have caused, even before home comic. everyone who read your comic asmundr saw how you'd treat your readers. Even paying ones! The public should know how you are to others. if they choose to support you or not. Thats fine, that's their choice. I do not control the other people here. you are not a good person then what you think you are, you treat others like shit unless they kissing your ass and giving you money. Look man, I don't give a care what you do or if you do art and comics. but most of us here were former fans that got tired of your bullshit when someone didn't agree with you. It's not that hard to understand, call us haters all you want. I for one have only put out stuff regarding your actions with linked proof. I never edited my shit or faked what I posted. unlike you who have a habit of editing your post to make yourself seem a victim and bullying someone else to make them look worse. how's that any better? we saw what you posted on a DA post about zirvasity and edited it. also my dude, wtf is this?
Never had I once claimed "sexual assault or abuse" about you towards another person, kindly correct yourself. in no way has that been said in any posts. About your weird and terrible take on rape yeah? But SA? nah man, I draw the line at that, unless you can show me legitimate proof. kindly correct yourself. That was never said about you. I have a limit. also disclaimer, but I have no idea who leaked your patreon shit. I know for a fact that wasn't me cause I respect the paywall and since thats how you make your income. you can beef it out with whoever did. Also no one made comments about your transgender either. I don't care. Thats a you thing, and if it makes you happy, cool I'm glad but that also a false claim. I'm not some homophobic person. I'm just some person talking about your comic and the many issues with it. Thats all, heck if you weren't so fragile you could learn from it also. Critique isn't a bad thing. You just refuse any help given to you for the better. You can bitch all you want for all I care and play victim, there's still proof out there about your behavior. learn to be a better person maybe and people wouldn't dislike you?.
Kique's post from instgram. edited to make him seem like he's innocent further. But my point still stands. P.S., If there are grammar errors, english is not my first language. But it should still get the point across.

The one character in Home that deserved the spotlight.
Ladies and gentlemen.. Akleja
Not many really touch on Akleja, but thinking about it now, Kique should have given her the spotlight and given us more with her.
Think about it, she is the first female of the Meteor Tribe era that is born, literally free.
Akleja is the result of a new era of the ( at the time ) Meteor Tribe. She doesn’t have to live the horrid experience her mother and other female tribe mates had to endure. A good writer would have taken this opportunity for us to follow her along, on her journey.
Hell, Kique could have written some female tribe mates to even be jealous of Akleja, because of her born freedom. But sadly, we do not get much about her. Kique literally does not give a single damn so much so of Akleja, that she is pretty much an adult by the time you really get to see her. Bit upsetting right?
Kique could have really made a nice, flowing side plot line following Akleja, instead of a fat majority of the characters we’re forced to follow now.
—
Akleja could have been shown struggling in the tribe, over the jealous females; or even males! Or, if you’d like to follow a more positive side, you could have her living a fruitful life with the females and have some underlying hatred for the males.
Unfortunately though, Akleja is victim of Kiques one personality fits all characters. Aside from this, Kique missed a huge opportunity with her. It’s quite sad to see her brushed under the rug, even though she is a first generation FREED MT female.

HEY DUDES AND DUDETS
I'm NOT OUT OF THE WOODS YET Just taking a mini unannounced vacay but also been busy in other stuff not pertaining to here. more so writing, it takes focus ( research, edits, style etc. ) just as I pet it here. but most would know I make comments on DA in the Grasscake home discussions there. One thing you will know however is that I never miss a beat and what I learned apparently is that Kique/Runestorm is now putting the NSFW content and images up from Patreon to his furaffinity account
YA KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS FOLKS!!!???.
once a page is public its not obligated by patreons rules Now people will know what's up without getting the boot rip all them brave folks out there O7 lmao.
ALSO its a mature content so you'll need an account to see it. its a good thing I have an account that's been collecting dust for eons.
You can tell from this piece alone that I collected on how much the quality depleted as them prices be up.
-------------------
Why you may ask? don't know but their is speculations and theories I can put up.
He is losing Patreon by the day and needs relevancy and traffic.
He was reported on Patreon because it goes against Patreons TOS of NSFW content and now he has to find somewhere else to draw attention to him.
Its a place where people are less likely to know him and not get reticule/backlash. Cause its literally feral animals fucking with human Genitals . NSFW is already a sticky slope on a very thin line of what's appropriate to concerning. it's already weird he does the pages and poses as though its hentai/Pornhub. and trust you'll know when you see them.
Patreon subscribers are just not into the NSFW content ( Shocker I know ) not surprised. he had bonus pages and stuff showing worldbuild content. when he started getting more patreons from making NSFW Sentient feral content is when he abandoned his promise.
He is not producing in the rate that he usually does. he's been pumping and dumping pages left and right, now its staggering and losing fumes. Its like giving someone water everyday and then slowly ceasing giving them water. if there is no water their, people is going to migrate elsewhere or die of dehydration.
Deadbeat Chris and Kique decide its an idea to upload what is ' one of the most ' controversy ' up to the public. after all they literally the only ones to rely on each other since one left everything in disarray from their wife and tried to steal money to do that while the other pulling the strings and want a drama filled world. both not right in the head but are also not the brightest ( his close knights may have also suggested it as well though really didn't think it through ).
I have more but these are the one's that popped up. And the fact he didn't do it because it was iffy from both DA and Comicfurry, and ADDING THAT HE STARTED POSTING ASMUNDR UP TOO!!???.
*inhales* ah the smell of desperateness.

Wow, for whatever reason Kique decided to put the entirety of Asmundr on ComicFury. I enjoyed this comic when it was active, and it was one of the fateful reasons why I decided to give Home a chance. Pushing that enjoyment aside, Asmundr is an a average story at best. That still puts it heads and shoulders above what its sequel would become. The irony in Kique's disclaimer for the comic is something else, as he's become worse as a storyteller.
That said, yes Asmundr is heavily traced. The story was ripped off from 2008's Outlander, and there are swaths of the story that were never explained or ended on a confusing note.
Yet, when I go back I still find myself enjoying the story. And I'm marveling at how Kique is now so lazy with Home when he actually put effort into his first comic despite its flaws.
Characters that can actually be friends. Better yet, Niita asks Kainan to clarify his feelings for her, and comes out and says they're just friends. No weird sexual undertones. Just two dogs being friends.
A man stepping down from a position of power to make room for women leaders? It's more likely than you think in Asmundr! In theory this doesn't work out for Niita and Lifa, but I can't see this happening in Home. Plus, some of the women in this comic actually have agency and don't seem lost without a man telling them what to do. Mind-blowing given how the sequel would treat its female cast.
Remember when speech bubbles actually indicated if a character was shouting? Yeah, I miss those days too.
We actually had characters who weren't bland doing interesting things. Poor Vilda, she never got to say a single word in Home. Given how everyone's character has been ruined, that's probably for the best.
It's kind of a shame that given the last time I read Asmundr, that it's surprising to see common practices that Kique used to do in his older comic, but stopped doing for his current comic. I wonder how many Home fans who never read the original will go back to it, and see how much Kique enjoyed Asmundr, versus the lack of care or interest that plagues Home. It's telling that comments have been turned off for his OG comic.

Kique: Anthro or no anthro?
So I was looking at the preview for Chapter 14 and I noticed how one of the big cats is lifting Ranach (I'm assuming it's him by the double-nicks in his right ear) by the front of his cloak with his front paws. I'm not gonna link it because it's on Patreon.
I don't know if his readers/fans have noticed it yet, on Patreon or otherwise, but over the years he's been recently trying to incorporate more and more anthropomorphic characteristics onto his canine and feline characters. Case in point, his gratuitous and unnecessarily graphic NSFW pages, where he puts his characters in various human-sex positions. Then there's several rare moments in the comic where he plays around with his anatomically-accurate quadrupedal dog and big cat characters and suddenly makes them do things with their paws and hind-legs such as this:
Non-anthro dogs should not be able to cross their hind-legs like that. They can "sploot" similar to the way Jahla is, but "splooting" is where dogs, cats, and others such as squirrels spread their hind-legs out on both sides of their bodies. Jahla is lying flat on her back, but her hind-legs are crossing over one another the way a human would.
Normally, this wouldn't be a problem. It's perfectly fine to give quadrupedal characters the ability to use their paws as hands. After all, that's what "anthropomorphism" is: giving human traits or characteristics, physical or emotional, to non-humans. They don't always need to have bodies with human anatomy fully bound to being bipedal and wearing clothes to be considered "anthro"/"anthropomorphic". But the problem is not that the characters are anthropomorphic or can hold things in their paws. The problem is that this is occurring far into the sequel and none of it was present in Asmundr. If I recall correctly. When characters out of nowhere start exhibiting such traits several pages ahead without any explanation (and when such traits are used so sparingly), there's a problem. It's interesting how for the majority of Asmundr and its sequel, he's had all his characters completely quadrupedal with lack of evolution in their paws, where they can't grip things using their digits like human hands. But now, he's been slowly and gradually changing the rules throughout the rest of the comic. In Home, we've had a few other rare and weird occurrences where dogs and cats would do things with their paws, including but not limited to the awkward-looking panel where Kargo apparently snapped his own arm to grab one of the raiders in a strangle-hold while stabbing it in the neck, and we had Feaf holding up the Golden Lioness feather. And later again when Zahira holds the aforementioned feather after Feaf gives it to her. Characters are also now embracing one another with their forelimbs, which doesn't break the suspension of disbelief too much, as it happened many times in The Lion King and Simba's Pride, but up until Home I don't think we ever saw characters being capable of supporting or holding each other like that. There are possibly other instances where these things happen, but I don't remember the rest. Where was all of this in previous chapters? Where was this in Asmundr? Why weren't these characteristics present throughout the comics? If he had gone in this direction from the start, it would have saved his readers and himself the grief of making excuses and constant head-scratching.It would explain how they'd be able to put the armor and tunics on, as so many readers were scratching their heads in an older chapter. It's weird that he's pulling these rare and sudden behaviors from his characters' anatomy on his readers like this. Screenshots taken by the old CCS blog from the first time Kique had the comments open and posted Page 305 on Smackjeeves:
Symbolism? Where?
So many readers were scratching their heads and getting frustrated by his vague answers for how his dog characters could put the armor on, and he excused it away by claiming the clothes had magnets created by the aliens. I know magnets were established earlier in the story, but I don't remember if it was always there or if Kique had gone back and edited the page to include Roamer's speech-bubble including magnets. I'm sure he didn't, but I wouldn't be surprised if he did go back and add some things since he's had a bad habit of doing that, even with the Roamer x Kargo panels and pages, making it seem like Roamer was always uncomfortable around him or hesitant even though he never was, until Page 214 on Chapter 7, where Kargo is being intimate with Roamer until Roamer basically tells him to slow down and Kargo obliges... which by the way, was so generous and sweet of Kargo to do, slowing himself down and allowing Roamer to catch up and get more comfortable around him. Unlike Rogio. The page initially had slightly different dialogue that Kique edited, but still has the same meaning. It baffles me that Kique dragged that dude through the mud, made him go full OOC and irredeemable, and then killed him off, only to bring him back and forcing him into a poly relationship with Roamer AND Rogio (the dog who betrayed him and used Roamer RIGHT AFTER THE PUP FUCKING BROKE UP WITH KARGO BTW) and after Rogio "saved" him from the spirit world complete with reopened wounds from his death and forcing Kargo to believe he owes his dept to Rogio. All so Rogio can look good. But I digress. Why these dogs even need clothes when they have thick fur meant to protect themselves against winter, I have no idea. And why they even have shirts, I have no idea either. I remember he'd draw his old German Shepherd fursona and his old girlfriend Meg's feline fursona in a Don Bluthy style where, naturally, they were quadrupedal but still able to hold things in their paws and balance on two legs, since they were heavily inspired by All Dogs go to Heaven and Madagascar. Wurr, No North and Lost Scent have also done this (and I'm currently trying it out with my own art/story). If these anatomical aspects of his characters were always present since Asmundr, if he had gone in the anthropomorphic All Dogs direction from the start, it wouldn't look so out-of-place. I'm curious about what his readers think of these instances or if they've even noticed it yet. With Avantifeigr, I can buy it because she's a heavily-modified canine that has always had hands and the ability to grip things since her introduction as a monster. And climb, even if Kique made her conveniently forget how to until the fire at the Meteor Tribe.
But yeah. This is what happens when you make up your story and its world-building as you go and publish the first draft without editing, redrafting, and polishing. EDIT: Someone reminded me in the comments of these pages. It looks so awkward. Same with this one with Raimo (the black GSD-looking dog) and Lifa. Piccolo snatching the stick and pointing it at Raimo's chest looks very awkward. There was also this scene with Rogio that I overlooked.

*kracks knuckles* Alright guys, the new page drop has got me raising questions in my head yet again.
First of all being..
What the hell is that?? Anyone kindly tell me how that cat is going to throw / use that spear? Granted, it has been introduced before while fishing back in Shiverfall and it still boggles my mind why Kique chooses to stick with this concept. How did they carry it? What, using a holster? The weight of the spear itself would topple over. Spears aren’t meant to be holstered, they’re meant to be carried. And just the look of this cat holding the spear is stupid. It serves zero purpose to the cat, besides it looking “cool” and it does not.
So, how did Roamer know that Diarko’s mother was going to be arriving? I had no clue that she was already in Shiverfall, I was under the impression that Whispervale was delivering her to the Meteors. Nope, we didn’t even get a scene of her introduction. And it amazes me that Nubia told Shiverfall so quickly about the Forngrym and how she ended up in Shiverfall. Nah, she just teleported through plot convenience. Also, I would figure that she would want to see Diarko FIRST before traveling further away from him, only to come all the way back up? What? Also Shiverfall isn’t a known alliance to MT, at least not through the comic. So I’m trying to wonder how Roamer knew they were arriving and how Shiverfall is cool walking onto Meteor land. Also, I’m surprised there wasn’t any fight about the Forngrym joining Shiverfall from the capital. Like, there was so much potential through that whole gimmick and Kique just threw it in the trash. Even though it would have added yet another pointless plot line involving the capital, it would have offered some excitement than the stale bread that is Home. Would also like to add, Kique forgot to add Rogio’s scars in that last panel lol.
Also, as we all expected. So far there is no consequence to Roamer and his actions for going against Ronja.
Side note* Before I forget. I’m surprised that Diarko’s mother is still malnourished. Though Kique doesn’t know any slightest anatomy in a malnourished feline. Way to many ribs and an odd amount of muscle for one who is SUPPOSE to be skin and bone? And god damn, look at her jawline / chin area. Anyway, that concludes my rant lol.

Marduk was a bad villain from the start because he was never established as a villain beforehand. From the very first page he had appeared, he had been J-Harper's character with a different personality, character design, and motivations. As I said in the comment section, he was a former Sky God turned into a dog for whatever reason, in order to live with them. Because of their falling-out and Kique blocking him on every platform, I don't know what else J-Harper had in mind for him in future chapters. The whole buildup to the final confrontation between him and Jahla could have been more impactful if it wasn't built on coincidences, and if we had actually SEEN him do villainous things, aside from using the obelisk a couple times. Her fight with Marduk was so rushed. She just tears his head off with zero effort, as a final slap in the face/"fuck you!" to his co-writer, I guess. And as usual, Kique can't even give us pages of satisfying, exciting, intense, bloody fights against the “heroes” and villains. Much like the potentially interesting concepts of his world and characters, his fight scenes and battles ALWAYS have to be rushed with unsatisfactory conclusions, and every character moves very statically and the camera angles are always the same. Even Rogihoe's "fight" against his inner-demon/ghoul was anticlimactic, unearned, and unsatisfying. Not just because the fight was rushed as fuck, not just because the characters weren't drawn from multiple different angles, not just because the movements of the characters were very static due to being heavily-referenced from Google images of jumping dogs, but because Rogio is a trash character who did absolutely NOTHING to earn his "redemption" moment. There are so many potentially-good scenes and ideas that Kique just underdevelops and rushes through to get to the next Roamer x Rogio scene. He has plenty of time to draw multiple bonus pages of NSFW dog porn on Patreon, and yet can't be bothered to show us more info of the world INSIDE OF THE COMIC, character development within the comic, their interactions and relationships with each other (and write them as HEALTHY and not co-dependent and toxic with only ONE party making all the decisions for the other person), and can't be bothered to at least give his readers some actual intense, satisfying fight sequences. I've seen anime and read Shonen manga that have had multiple chapters and pages of intense fights for fuck's sake!
I'm not saying fight scenes and battles must ALWAYS be long and drawn-out. You can have quick or short fights as long as it’s well executed, and it isn't sometimes necessary for a fight to last a long time, just as it can be necessary to have long fights. Also, sometimes bigger conflicts can get tiresome if they drag an unnecessarily long time. But if the characters and their struggles and relationships with the villains are engaging enough, they can make sitting through long-lasting fights worth it. However, if almost ALL your fights are rushed with lackluster and anticlimactic end results, there's a problem.
Also, you should NEVER rush your climactic showdown between your main protagonist and your main villain. These are two of your most important characters in your story, who’ve had chapters after chapters, pages after pages of development, personal animosity, and build-up to their final confrontation, so it is the responsibility of your protag as a character to settle their conflict with the main villain once and for all.
Also, don’t shove in another character to do the job FOR them if they never had a personal connection with the villain up ’til now, and it was never supposed to be THEIR fight to begin with. Basically, don’t do what David and Dan did to Arya and the Night King in Game of Thrones Season 8, and most likely what Kique’s going to do with Roamer and Ranach, never mind that Kargo and Ferah have more personal history with him than Roamer ever did. I guess you can argue that it became personal after Roamer got himself involved with Kargo and Ferah’s lives and rescued them during their second escape, and after Ranach killed Kargo…? But it still doesn’t feel organic and earned, it just feels more like it MUST be Roamer’s fight because he’s the hero and a Gary Stu self-insert.
But “heroic" or otherwise (and I say heroic very loosely, as Home’s characters can hardly be considered that, no matter how many times he tries to convince you), the majority of the characters within Home and their conflicts are not engaging, they're not relatable. Either they’re all idiots, or they’re unintentionally written as sociopathic assholes to everyone around them. How the fights in Home play out is ridiculous to look back to, especially considering how Kainan and his pack's final fight against Ranulfr and the army of Liulfr/Shield wolves lasted multiple pages, even if they were unceremoniously killed off too quickly due to the magic spears. Asmundr wasn't that good either, but at least the dogs had a reason to use spears in that comic, because those specific spears were designed to kill the Shield wolves.
Also, I hope Romé is dead. Dude was insufferable and just a yes-man (dog) to Jahla, and an overall idiot who didn’t even try to hide his suspicious attitude and dislike for his former-leader and colleagues when Jahla was held captive, and nearly got his whole pack killed over a stranger he had no reason to trust. Dude was an herbalist and could have just used the sleeping herbs to knock them unconscious while he snuck Jahla out, or he could have invented a lie about having to gather more herbs, as Kique mentioned on the wiki that herbalists have to travel a long way, depending on the type of herbs. He could have been actually smart and strategic, instead of coming up with that dangerous, stupid plan to create a stampede of buffalo that could kill his leader and colleagues.
As much as I hope Romé is dead, there is also a chance that Kique might unfortunately bring him back with the power of asspulling good guy plot-armor. Because good guys and author self-inserts just can’t ever stay dead.
I just found the updated archive and, wow, Marduk's storyline was so... bizarre? And now it's over? (Spoilers ahead)
I thought he was going to be the climax of the entire story, but he was little more than a B tier villain. Even now that he's dead, we never actually saw him do anything outright villainous, and it's just a frustrating tell-don't-show. How we got there also relied on so many coindicences and assumptions. Why did Asmundr pack trust the zioqa and rabisu without further questions? For all they knew, the rabisu could have been the real villains, with Marduk having legitimate need and reason to attack them. They could have lied to the Asmundr in order to gain their trust. At that point, it was still Marduk's word against theirs.
The climax itself also relied on Jahla coincidentally choosing right that moment to start translating the scrolls, and for those scrolls to contain Marduk's Sparknotes backstory. Those scrolls could have been Father's grocery list. It was then perfect timing for her to reach Asmundr right when Rhov and Feaf had coincidentally decided to run away, leading to the fight. Marduk's villain story isn't bad per se, but there was so little build-up to it, and now with Marduk dead and Ranach as the final boss, I doubt the avalanche of plot holes and moral conundrums will ever be addressed.
I'd also be surprised if Romé is actually dead
Now imagine if Jahla ascends to godhood lmfao

page 893 & 894
Alright. so can't ignore the elephant in the room. but what the actual fuck where these two latest pages? First of all the most down played and terrible explanation on why your quote on quote father is "damaged" like i'm sorry but ronja's daughters are gonna be young adults very soon at some point and she had't told them about ranach yet? like girl what were you waiting on. this entire convo was long overdue and kique rushed it so fast and swept it under the rug to get it over with, it's so poorly executed. fucking vandi, kargo and ferah could 100% vouch for her explanation on why he's so terrible. cause no rogio doesn't count, he enabled his actions and did stuff for him. he's just as bad and their relationship wasn't toxic unless proved. I wouldn't trust rogio as my damn uncle as far as I can throw him. again fuck that guy lol. but anyways, vandi is technically their grandmother now, this entire convo should of at least been a decent amount of pages maybe 4 at most instead of just saying "oh he killed people" like he did way more then "kill" he raped and should have an eye awakening of the past tribe living and how he manipulated their own mother. naeva's reaction is bit bratty when I first read this page, and honestly I thought she was stupid. as she rather listen to her own morals then her mothers over a father she never met, it doesn't matter as he has never been around in their lives for her to give a shit about him. also how is naeva gonna know its her father? does her mother have a fucking picture of him somewhere? she never stated his color or anything specific about his character appearance. since these dogs are apparently clearly aware of color and markings. though in a small degree, i kinda agree how she is reacting? she's still being a bit of a bitch honestly. but because her own mother refused to give her a detailed explanation and have her daughters truly understand why he's a "big threat". i feel like she could of easily said their father died or something if it mattered that much to her that she doesn't want her daughters to truly end up seeking him. I just feel, now that we might have this anti child turning evil motive that doesn't really make sense? there's really no real reason for them to switch sides and betray their mother if that's a possibility other than to just appease ranach since he can manipulate thats about it. it'll just be for dramatic useless tension. anyways... so instead of ronja being a parent and not going after her own daughter to try and talk some sense into her as this is a vulnerable topic for both of them now. instead we get the worst and dumbest transition in the next page. its night time now and what does ronja do? well instead of again reaching out to her daughter. deer dog pops up into her tent and well they basically have sex. we are once given the cycle that sex cures everything and holy shit i don't know how she can be in the mood for that. like omg just talk about your problems for once without fucking each other. also idk what deer dog means by "tender soul" my dude you barely been around her kids, every-time you were on screen you were either by ronja or standing in the background. I doubt you know what her daughter is like and just exactly know how she'd react. but honestly if naeva sneaks off or goes searching for her father. gotta say it's ronja's fault at that point cause she didn't give a care enough about her own daughters safety and rather get bonded. also off topic kinda, but I keep seeing people claim that naeva as the "black pup" is it just me? I don't see her as black in color, unless my eye sight is really bad and I dont know it. but I honestly have been confused by it. I'd consider her dark toned comapared to her sisters. but not black color wise.

Alright, so I am referring to the current patreon pages that were posted recently. Some of you know what I am going to discuss and others, not so much… So if you don’t want to be spoiled, then do not continue.
For the record before people get their panties in a bunch, I will not be posting pictures or anything of that matter as I do try to abide by Patreon rules. However, I am going to simply discuss what I felt from these pages.
So we finally got some action scenes with Marduk and let me just say, this whole thing is a giant mess. Kique so badly needed an antagonist for his story, so he decided to pick his ex co-writers character to defame, and blame for the whole mess.
This is absolutely ridiculous. In my opinion, Kiques decision in doing what he did with Marduk and with Jahla reading the scrolls throws not only Home’s plot off balance, but Asmundrs as well. I have way to many questions than I do answers, with where Kique is currently taking the story.
It is quite obvious that he has no damn clue where to take Home and is creating EVEN MORE plot holes! Once these pages become published, sadly won’t be for a while, I’ll be able to do a better and more detailed review.
But for now, all I am going to say is WTF KIQUE?! You’re in such desperation to make Home relevant again, that you’re willing to just confuse your audience even more? And just go nillie-willie with whatever idea you think will grab others attention? Also to make Asmundr confusing as well? I guess you finally figured out that people don’t like a live in roleplay for a comic. But god damn, why did you have to wait almost 900 pages later for something that could have been EXPLAINED better and EXCUTED 500 pages ago? When Marduk first made his appearance? Good lord idk what to say lmao.

Tearing Page 733 hind
Tch MAAAAAAAANNNN!!! I’ve been waiting for this page to come up, cause this is just blatant kique misogyny and sexist of making females complacent of something as serious as a scratch of the muzzle from a short fuss - right here and insulting of the characters who are in Asmundr Comic. It's like the movie: thing of a clone of the person.
Page 93, 94 & 104
Lifa is just acting way too submissive on this when Lifa, who would never put up with this, Lifa of all dogs who know the red-flags of manipulative and threats of harm from unbalanced power dynamic,
Page 143 & 265
LIFA who has told and taught the family to stick together and work as a team in a no mercy environment, protect your own and think with a clear mind - is blatantly letting family abuse slide by. And immediately go to the next Subject cause showing how evil Marduck is then Lifa’s family basically falling apart is far more important. If it was Ronja, Jahla or a female family member - bet they would be ridiculed, belittled, practically coerced to apologize. While If it was Rogio or Ranach or Roamer getting hurt or pitied or had been killing people ( which they did ) , they would be coddled and sympathized - which is what’s happening here, Rohgir being sympathized for basically wounding his sister and daughter of Lifa and it's not bluntly told but implies for Jahla to be “ understanding “ so they can move on and be a happy family again. Ignoring/brushing the problem off doesn’t fix it.
Heck THIS IS NOT HOW ROHGIR ACTED EITHER, this is like a 180 of Rohgir’s personality.
pages 263, 265 & 297
yes, he is blunt and crass and yes secretive, and would take risky decisions that would protect his family to live another day, but in any way shape or form would never raise a paw to another because his eugenic uprising would have him be Marduck 2.0 AND RANULFR .
Kaine and Lifa should be shocked/horrified since this is The one who Rohgir's family + pack fought in a war against his father's ideology of being the superior species ( that he disowned as a a father ) , that also tried to also non-consensually mate with Niita; his aunt and Lifa's sister . Stressed or not you should never resort to hurting your siblings unpurposely. Why are the Akiulfrs even under him as subordinates? at this point if he is willing to attack the triad leaders who’re equal to him as family . That implies he's willing to hurt his own members who HAVE no equal power over him that are no blood related members. It would be a full on rebellion.
Page 389 & 656
Roughhousing is okay, but everything is not fun and games when someone literally gets hurt. Most would even ask if it’s ok to do certain things or if a simple “ ow “ or “ stop, that hurt “ would immediately be apologized/stop all together. At least sensible people. Intentionally hurting someone needs to be stopped because you'll enable it and once enabled, it will lead to toxic to dangerous behaviors, interactions or/and abuse. You see it all the time and you see it now.
—-------
The author really doesn’t know what he wants to do with the majority of the characters, cause literally everyone is a villan who is misunderstood or the moment he makes them a villain and then changes his mind and back peddles to make them not a villain but a misunderstood, sympathizing character. I rather suck a gallon of pure lemons before I sympathize with Ranach and Rogio.
—-------
Lifa like...this is your son, siblings or not you shouldn't be hurting each other nonetheless intent on killing. the fact Jahla doesn't even mention her biting Rohgirs neck that can kill or paralyze his spine is already a reflag of their own. why you hiding that fact saber teeth can puncture and do damage, they obviously don't break.
DIALOGUE REWRITTEN
Lifa could have said: Lifa: “ This is not like him to… “ // ( To keep secrets yeah but not to twist the truth. )
Jahla: " he clawed my muzzle off …before banning me from the Island."
Lifa: " What...??!!”
Kainen: " He may be dealing a lot with a large pack..,"
Lifa cutting Kainen off: " It does not excuse my son to resort to retaliation. Threats, but not of family and certainly NOT of his own."
Jahla: "we talk to him as a family then? Perhaps if he sees us be fine..."
Lifa looks off in frustration and disgruntlement: "We would, but Marduck would not approve. We would already be off to find the others if we did." // ( discard the page of that Marduck introduction and he is shown later after Jahla found him by the family describing him. )
Kainen, licking lips nervously, looks over to the Beacon and where Marduck went: " He's one of Father's own and makes it clear every chance he gets." // ( In a better scene Kainen indicating Marduck attacking the Rabishu and I Kainen to prove a point when he tried to leave. )
Jahla In deep thought, scrunching eyebrows: "Perhaps, I can talk to him. I am familiar with Father just as much as he is, just tell me what I need to know about him." // ( cause the old Jahla would be gun-ho excited of learning more about Father, after all she broke with Rhovanion, monologue a poor excuse with Rome, studied the hidden languages, taken in Father's creation; Avanti - is now acting hostile of a dog she barely even given a chance. )
And that would lead to the next Page Jahla encountering Marduck NOT CRAMMING IT IN ONE PAGE. it's like the dumbest thing to state an “ oh” .
Plus it's the same pose of 3 dogs sitting overhead/bird eye view and discussing. Plus Lifa’s face is Rogio like a copy + paste of Rogio.
—--
We got now mothers enabling their kids to stay with strangers ( Feomeh with Diarko ) , Mothers letting their son do all the talking and leading ( Liari & Ralei ) , mothers letting male family members keep their rank after disobeying a command from the leader ( Ronja and Roamer ) , and now excuse sibling physical assault (Lifa and Jahla ) ps. Forgot about the Nubia situation and Feaf of disregarding a non-consensual agreement to bearing a Hybrid child from the quote ' golden ' in quote lioness a few pages ago. Thanks to the commenter for jogging my memories ♥

First, What Lurks Beneath won the poll and will be added to the list of comics I'm covering on a (mostly) weekly basis. Golden Shrike is back and I talk about that, along with Africa. This would have been a pleasant round up, then I got to Home. SIX PAGES of Home.
I think I broke my brain with more questions than answers from pages 888 to 891. 892 and 893 were troubling for different reasons. I'm not looking forward to writing about page 894 because the whiplash is insane, but that's a problem for me to worry about on Sunday/Monday.
Anyway, Happy New Year!

So Kique uploaded Page 812 and we see more info of Ranach's past. I don't know what to think of it...
After the Rhov and Feaf scene, we immediately get cut forward to the next day in Southspear Tribe, where we see Ranach watching Iberon sleep like Edward did to Bella in Twilight.
Then after Iberon notices Ranach watching him sleep and comments about it, he notices his Y-shaped scar on his face and asks about it.
Page 811.
He talks about how Rogio tended to his wounds after Arenak abused him, listened to his rants, silenced his mind when it became too much, and how "so, so fucking beautiful" he was.
This is the same relationship that Kique was trying to retcon as abusive on Ranach's side and paint Rogio as an innocent victim to his abuse, but here he is again, talking about how much Rogio did for Ranach. They had a consensual relationship, and so for Kique to constant claim Rogio was abused by Ranach, when both of them were toxic partners who ignored the females' suffering, is bullshit.
Then we discover how and why Arenak scarred him, because he hated same-sex relations and discovered him with Rogio.
Page 812.
Why would Ranach just make out with Rogio in an area where they'll be seen? Why is Ranach just allowing his father mark him? No one is holding him down or restraining him, or stopping him from getting away. Unless he is too scared of his father, he just lies there while his father hurts him, as if he's being restrained and pinned down by others. Why is he just whimpering as his face is getting cut open? Shouldn't he be yelping or screaming, unless he's so used to being hurt by him that he is somehow immune to pain (which would also be pretty fucked up)? Whimpering would be more like after the knife is out of him.
Also, the facial expressions of these dogs are always very few and not enough. This is supposed to be an intense or dramatic moment, yet the characters are drawn too realistic to display enough emotions. Ranach's facial expressions do not convey the pain he is in as his face is being cut at all. He looks more like he's cowering in fear than having his face cut open. And of course, Kique can't show Ranach whimpering, and he also can't show it alongside some onomatopoeia either. He has to write "(whimpering)". It's so lame.
And of course, people in the comment section are feeling sorry for Ranach, who has been established as a lying, manipulative, back-stabbing, sexist, raping, murderous bastard. Homophobia is awful, and having an abusive family is awful, and I would never wish any kind of injustice or violence upon anyone, even if they are a terrible person. But even if Ranach had a shitty childhood and upbringing, there is no excuse for the things he has done. I wouldn't be so harsh if Kique hasn't glorified his rapist character in the past. Its one thing to like a character for who they are as characters in the story, but its a completely different thing to say you would be Ranach's friend if he was a real person.
I don't know what Kique wants us to think of Ranach. Does he want us to hate him? Sympathize with him because "sad backstory"? Is he trying to make Ranach turn his life around by being in Southspear? Or does he want Ranach and Southspear to stay evil until the end of the comic? Which is it?
Ranach is such an inconsistent character, and such a one-dimensional villain, I don't even know what Kique wants his readers to think of him anymore.
Why this comic still has readers, I do not know.
