Question for the group. Do scenthounds like bloodhounds and beagles actually have a better sense of smell than other dogs or is it just that they have a better work ethic when it comes to tracking?

My heart says it’s work ethic but every breed profile I read talks about how they have a superior sense of smell due to whatever breed traits (floppy ears wafting scent towards the nose? Drool collecting scent particles?) so I am not sure
