hello hi Salvage Posting again.

Salvage's haunted house attraction USED to have some human scare actors in addition to Salvage, and the also helped with security (since its a teen and up attraction and teens love sneaking off and doing dumb shit in the dark, and its a dark attraction because Haunted House).

but, like is mentioned happening in-game, human employees are progressively minimized over time and eventually they just put some staffbots in to function as security and maybe a few cheap jumpscares. they're bad security and even worse and jumpscares since teens quickly figure out how easy it is to just. push them over. so the bots are pulled entirely and then Salvage is left to do all the Security and scares himself.

there are a few other 'animatronics' in the haunted house, but they're like. Real-world animatronics. not sentient, bolted to one position. Salvage still probably talks to some of them sometimes just when he wants to vent his thoughts but doesn't want to deal with the Social Interaction that requires.

Uhh I don’t have much to post right now so take this for now

I’m trying to figure out a design for another sona… This is ML, (name not final). This lil dude has… quite a mix of genes.

Basic stuff:

(take into account that he’s(it’s?) drawn in my more cartoony/angular style instead of the semi realistic one, meaning that for example his eyes would be smaller if drawn realistically).

Let’s see… he has a very small, free-floating, rudimentary collarbone/clavicle, allowing for more flexibility and agility, and as ML is mainly quadrupedal. obviously I had to add retractable claws because they are EPIC- anyways, this is useful for keeping them from getting dull, as they won’t be constantly in contact with the surface he is on. This also allows for less noise to be made when moving, since the claws won’t tap on the ground as he moves. Unlike a cat’s claws, though, they have a different mechanism to protract.

ML’s large pupils that can contract and dilate by a very significant amount are useful for seeing properly in different types of lighting without damaging the retina, as well as aiding in his exceptional night vision- which is also accompanied by a tapetum lucidum (the reflective layer of tissue that some animals have right behind the retina, that reflects visible light back through it, increasing the light detected by the photoreceptors.) and a larger cornea, amongst other things.

in a bipedal stance, (which is uncommon even though ML’s legs are strong enough to be in that position for a sufficient amount of time), ML will stand on the tips of his toes. This is a bit more of a preference though, as it would be perfectly fine for him to walk plantigrade due to the length of his feet. although, being like this does add a little spring in his step. In this stance he also always keeps his arms and hands bent close to his body when not in use.

ML’s senses are enhanced by a pair whiskers on his head, which help him detect various types of stimuli acutely. For example, they help detect the slightest changes in temperature, pick up on tiny vibrations in the air to alert ML of the movement of any creature in the environment, and even help with his vision!

He possesses a slender, reptilian-like tail that helps with balance, and that acts as an extra grip when climbing.

I am definitely forgetting something that I want to add here and when I post this I am going to remember but it will be too late and I am going to be pissed at myself for the rest of the night. o-o

Yep I finally got around to doing this! I've been meaning to start making my headcannon designs for a little while now, but I finally finished, and got around to posting my first one! This is my headcannon/TMOM Design for Scourge The Hedgehog. I'm very proud of how he looks, and I can't wait to draw him again sometime! I hope you guys like him too! Small Bio:Scourge used to be an Anti Version of Sonic, and he caused a lot of trouble for Sonic and his friends. He grew up in a troubled environment with his two siblings Charlotte and Vandal. Both of his parents weren't the best, but especially his father Anti Jules. Due to Jules' actions, he became rebellious and evil. But after going to Zone Jail, he met Fiona the fox. After betraying The Destrutix one he escaped, he spent many years becoming a better person. Nowadays, he spends his time looking over Moebius, and traveling the world. He likes to meet new people, and discover new things about the world he once endangered.

OBX WRITING WEEK DAY 5 — HOW YOU GET THE GIRL W/ KIARA CARRERA

summary: the pogues get matching tattoos, but y/n takes it a step further to show her love for a certain turtle-loving girl.

a/n: i feel absolutely awful for posting the last few stories for obx week late but i appreciate every single person who has participated in it by writing, reblogging, and reading along :') <3

“Let’s get matching tattoos!” JJ blurted out. 

“Are you crazy?” John B. asked his best friend.

You and the Pogues were all on the boardwalk, spending another hot summer day just wandering around.

“Come on! Something to remember this moment by.” JJ explained. 

“I don’t know…” you started.

“Wait, I actually think that’s kind of a cute idea. I mean, you only live once right?” Kiara interrupted. Not that you minded. You could never be annoyed at her. 

“Wait, are you serious?” Sarah said. 

“Yes, dude. Pogues for life, right?” 

“Yeah! Right…” you said, hoping no one noticed how quickly you changed your mind. 

But because you and the Pogues had all been friends for so long, they had found out about your “secret” crush a very long time ago. 

You had been falling for Kiara ever since you met her in elementary school. Her wavy brown hair and golden highlights, the way she cared about the environment, her sense of humor. Something about her pulled you in, you always felt the need to be in her presence. To be seen by her. You wondered how it felt to be loved by her. 

A few years ago, you were admiring Kiara as she did tarot card readings for your friends when JJ came up to you. He whispered in your ear, “Pretty, huh?” snapping you out of your thoughts. 

“Yeah— wait what?” 

“You like her, right?” 

“Uhh, no. Not like that,” you said, unconvincingly. 

“So you just look at everyone like that?”

You relented, “Ugh. Fine. Maybe I do have a tiny, tiny crush on her. But it doesn’t matter, she would never like me back.” 

Your “tiny, tiny crush” on Kiara never went away. Soon, the other Pogues began to find out (mostly because JJ couldn’t keep his mouth shut) and you were growing scared that Kiara would be next. But to your knowledge, no one had told her. Yet. 

However, this matching tattoo thing was your chance to make it known. For a while now, you have been complimenting Kiara’s tattoos. The 11:11 on her wrist, the star on her anklet, and your favorite, the sun on the inside of her arm. Once, you joked about getting the moon to match with her, but she insisted that you actually do it. 

After more convincing from JJ, Kiara, Cleo and you against Sarah, John B., and Pope, the seven of you walked into the one and only tattoo parlor on your side of the island. 

Kiara and JJ were the only ones out of the group that already had tattoos, so it was safe to say the rest of you were just a tad nervous. You were braving it for the sake of not embarrassing yourself in front of who you thought was the coolest girl in the world. 

You had all decided to get “P4L” in tiny font in various places. Kiara on her wrist, JJ on his arm, Pope somewhere “hidden” according to him, Cleo and Sarah on their back shoulders, and John B. on his thigh. You just happened to be getting yours in the same spot as Kiara. 

After everyone took turns in the chair and expressed varying levels of uncomfortability, it was finally your turn. You had made up your mind. 

“Guys, I’m actually going to get two,” you announced.

“Y/N, are you sure? It’s your first time!” Sarah asked, concerned.

“I’ve been wanting this second one for a while so might as well get it out of the way,” you shrugged. 

“What are you going to get?” Kiara asked.

“I think you know.” 

“Wait. Are you serious?” 

Pope jumped in, “What is she talking about?” 

As the Pogues waited impatiently for the artist to stencil in your design, Kiara realized what you were doing. 

“Y/N. No. Freaking. Way.” 

“Yes. Way. It’s not too late for you to take back what you said, though.”

“Are you kidding me? This is incredible!” she squealed. “I can’t believe we’re going to have matching tattoos!” 

“Woah, woah, you guys are going to be matching? You’re more in love than I thought,” JJ said. 

His comment was punctuated by a thick silence in the air. 

“What? Was I not supposed to say that?” 

It was true. You being in love with Kiara was like a blind item in the group. Everyone knew, no one was sure if Kiara really knew, so no one brought it up. You were content with being her best friend on most days, and you only didn’t make a move in fear of losing the most important friendship you had. But if there was even the slightest chance she might feel the same way…

“Y/N?” Kiara broke the silence, looking at you. 

“Yeah?” you said, sheepishly. 

“Is that true? You have feelings for me?” 

Fuck it. You were already halfway through getting a permanent matching tattoo with her, you had nothing to lose. 

“Yes, but I don’t just have feelings for you. Feelings are fleeting. I’m in love with you,” you paused. “And it’s okay if you don’t feel the same way. I’m still getting this tattoo, for our friendship. Because I want to have that forever with you.” 

“Shut up,” Kiara stopped you, placing her hand on your cheek and pulling you in for a kiss. 

“Finally!” Everyone cheered, including the tattoo artist, who just seemed happy to be there.

just the whole thing with growing up in an abusive hostile environment and having to hide your true self, being assigned a role you don't fit in to, getting kicked out of your home, having to go through the confusing and sometimes painful journey of self-discovery, learning about the world you have never seen before, bonding with people you've been told are enemies... something about it just. yknow.

She and Coomer got married because their parents were pressuring them to get married, they divorced after they got to black mesa and remained friends even if Coomer doesn’t agree with her being military

After the divorce she did get taken by the military

She just she finally got into boot camp around that time is all

She’s the one who’s on the radio where the airstrikes puzzles is and fun fact, in opposing force you can see the soldier who’s on the other side of that radio I choose to believe that’s her in every universe

She and Coomer have known eachother from like the beginning of highschool and Coomer helped her to figure out she likes women

She worked as black mesa security for a short while until she got into boot camp

And she’s the marines designated radio operator because she says things fairly clearly and people trust her to not fuck around on the radio when it’s actually important stuff

Oh uh also black mesa was supposed to be her last mission before she retired but then it’s black mesa and fucked up

Also another fun fact did you know that the soldiers going into black mesa didn’t know why they were until they got there Yeah

Anyways Annabelle lore:

She’s cis Demi ace and she thinks she’s het for a long ass time it’s not until like her 60s that she realizes that she’s Akoiromantic, and she likes the idea of being in a romantic relationship but whenever she actually gets into one all her feelings kinda go away

Coomer and her met in collage and started dating probably within 2 years of knowing eachother

She’s the ex wife who convinced Coomer to leave boxing and change his major so that they could both go into different fields of science

She does like medical science stuff so she works in the medical area of black mesa which I can’t remember what it’s called but it’s in opposing force

She ends of graduating before Coomer and is accepted into Black Mesa before him so they stop dating and don’t see eachother for a few years

Probably around 6 or so years after Coomer starts working at black mesa they finally meet again when Coomer loses his arm, they start seeing eachother again shortly after that and get married also shortly after that for like health benefits and general benefits from black mesa

They last for a long while but she is a bit of a bitch in like the way that her parents were an older couple- so tangent here you know how some older couples and such and fucked up and mean to eachother and but they still claim to love eachother- that’s basically her only viewpoint of what romance is and what it’s supposed to be like, it’s actually pretty similar with Coomers parents too which is why they stayed together for as long as they did

After around 10 year (I think I don’t care to go and check my doc) she divorces Coomer and leaves black mesa to go become a doctor at an actual hospital

Also she did work as a millitary doctor for a very short while but didn’t like the environment so she went back to black mesa

Megamind vs The Doom Syndicate Review

Oh god. It's peak guys. It's so peak.

Where do I start? Uhh, probably the movie's visuals. This movie is gorgeous. Characters are animated in really fluid ways, environments are really well-designed, and there's a ton of neat background details. They likely gave the animators a lot of time and freedom with this one.

Even outside of the exciting action scenes, the movie really satisfying. Megamind is a great MC whose character is developed in a really unique way. Minion/Chum's role is a really clear allegory for the current usage of AI in our society. Roxanne also plays a massive part in the main plotline, but I won't say too much as to not spoil it. The characters' arcs all interact with each other in a very interesting way, so all of the character development feels earned.

The story is also really really great. Megamind has to pretend to be a bad guy so there's a few brilliant Among Us type scenes (Among Us is a masterpiece so anything taking inspiration from it is really nice to see). He then has to stop the doom syndicate from launching the city into space. The stakes are massive, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't on the edge of my seat the entire time.

The worldbuilding is also wonderful. In the first movie, Megamind gets bored after he takes over the city is because he has no real motivation as a villain other than beating Metro Man. This is because he was grumpy and raised by prison inmates or whatever. I'm really glad the sequel kind of did away with all that boring nonsense and actually made him the awesome brain guy he was meant to be.

The movie's just amazing overall. The Among Us scenes were really funny (again, the ideal fiction should strive to be as good as Among Us), the INSANE twist where the electric character is defeated by being electrocuted was really freaking cool (or it would have been if it wasn't rudely spoiled to me), I want to think of a third thing but there's just so much about this movie that's perfect that it would be wrong to put any one part above the others. Can you believe there's a post credits scene?? I can't believe they're going to make a whole series based on this!

If I had to make one minor criticism of the film, it would be the scene with the prominently-placed transgender-colored donuts. I hate when the industry tries to shove wokeness down our throats.

Hey, I got a carefree movie review for ya! :D

What kind of review? Oh, well, just from someone who loves fun entertainment, gud characters, and plots! Not really a strict critic but just someone who loves any gud movies that are able to energize my inner child

So if you're also into that, feel free to read my future posts! Or even recommend some movies to me

Anyway, this is my first posted review but I always looked forward to doing this ever since, and it has increased after watching Under The Boardwalk that has recently came out but is unfortunately not given much chances of being seen

BUT ANYWAY, I just watched a new movie, and it's Sahara!!!

It's not really new tho, at least I think so, I actually have seen this before on MovieHD buuut it's in a different language, so I couldn't fully watch it

But today, on Netflix, I'm now able to! And, uhm... I give it a 6/10

The animation is great, especially with how fluid the snakes move (especially especially when they dance! DANCE! They have DANCING SNAKES, people! Fun!), alrighty characters and their design, it's quite funny, and fun in it's own way(?), has quite a gud atmosphere too I guess

But, I didn't really understand the story lol especially the love department

The set up felt sorta Romeo and Juliet, which I like, I mean, Under The Boardwalk has that plotline and I heavily enjoyed it >W< but this one didn't really had... Uhh, proximity with our love interests?

It was gud at first, how the introduction was set up with our characters and their world, especially the part when Ajar and Eva disguised as each other's species which for some reason itched my brain right when they first met... But that was kinda it

They then sorta left their homes and then it went from Romeo and Juliet to Finding Nemo? Because Eva got captured and then Ajar is determined to rescue her, like bruh, you don't even know her???

I was honestly routing Ajar and Gary (Eva's brother) more, and Eva and the uhh white snake lady instead, to be honest with you XD

Because Ajar and Gary had the adventure that I thought was gonna happen between Ajar and Eva (oh and there was also Pitt, Ajar's scorpion friend that sorta... tagged along... same as Gary but he was basically kidnapped lol)

Ajar and Gary had to spend time together, same as for Eva and White Snake (sort of), and yet the main two snakes – that barely talked to each other for more than two minutes in the beginning and then meet again at the end being all swooned that one of 'em sacrificed their body and energy for someone they barely know – are the LOVE INTERESTS?!

But hey at least the ending's sorta funny

I also didn't mention the antagonist yet •>• it's just a human guy that hypnotizes snakes with a flute like blingin' Pide The Piper, he's the one that makes the snakes dance or dance fight, fun! :D

He's sorta creepily intimidating, but in the end his creepiness leveled up but in a weird way ;-; I mean, bruh, he was consistently managing to chase down Ajar to get his flute back DURING A BLINGIN' SAND STORM?! All while jumping on buildings and stuff yet managed to just pop up in front of Ajar out of nowhere?! HOW DOES THAT NOT TERRIFY AND/OR CONFUSE YOU?!

Overall tho, I was entertained, but didn't feel entirely fulfilled - so I watched Back To The Outback to make me feel better (I already seen it, but in case you're wondering, I give that movie an 8/10)

But if you want a Movie where you don't have to care too much about the characters and environment, and just watch amazingly animated snakes dance or go on an adventure, then Sahara is for you! :D

uhh more kyo sonic au shit!! This time it’s team dark

i talked about shadow and omega in the previous Post but I wanted to talk about Things again;

- shadow is the creation of Doctor Gerald Robotnik and Black Lotus. His genome is 50% black arms, 46% mobian, and 4% human. The human part was from Maria to see if Gerald could find a way to cure her NIDS. The boots and wrist guards were given to him on the arc, while the jacket used to be Maria’s, and he has Warp Rings coiled around the boots and wrist guards.

- omega was the eggman’a first attempt to convert one of ivo’s e-series into a weapon… and he messed up the reprogramming, leaving omega permanently enraged. Rouge and Shadow helped him divert his anger away from those around him and into something else: his love for song, persisting even now. He has spiked bands and gold chains around his wrists, and a necklace, given to him by Rouge for extra Swag Energy. He attacks with sound waves, which makes it easy for him to hit a high-speed target.

- rouge herself is a former G.U.N. agent who ended up getting evicted. In part due to her kleptomaniac tendencies, but mostly due to her awareness of the system’s corruption. She tries to be a more Robin-hood like character… but she can’t help herself. She likes pretty things. She gave omega his bling and shares eyeliner with shadow

- both Maria and shadow escaped the ark fifty years ago, but Maria would end up dying to her disease due to the non-sterile environment speeding up the spread. Shadow has been roaming the world ever since, seeing both the good and bad in humanity. He’s well known within Westopolis’ struggling lower-class district, where he made frequent appearances in the fight against corruption and was generally just… nice. Nobody can stop him from making his own soup kitchen

- omega ostracized himself from his fellow E-Series, afraid of what they would think of him now. The only one who knows about his situation is Sigma, who helped remodel him into a more punk-like robot.

- rouge is Loaded. she helps pay for expenses and other Investments, like shadow’s soup kitchen and omega’s equipment. She has this big ass manor, but can’t live in it because all of them are Wanted By The Government

- they’re known to the public as the band “DARC”, Omega’s idea for his Rage Outlet. Their music contains anti-militarism (aka Anti-G.U.N.) themes, as well as identity and self-empowerment. You can guess who wrote each song depending on the overall mood; rouge’s are passionate and playful, shadow’s are somber, and omega’s are Rage Incarnate.

- shadow has his own Eye like Black Lotus, and that scoundrel Black Doom. Due to his altered genome, Shadow’s Eye (affectionately nicknamed ‘Jug’) has a much different appearance from Lotus’ and Doom’s eye; only three tentacles, and a primarily red body with three black-red ‘shadow stripes’. It’s housed inside shadow’s top quill (forming the stripe), and often opens when shadow focuses his chaos abilities

- omega and rouge based their ‘shoes’ on shadow’s air shoes. They’re boots designed to reduce friction by generating a thin layer of air between the soles and the ground… they were commonplace on the ark, but were commandeered by G.U.N. during their invasion and redesigned into dangerous, blast-jumping footwear. They were quickly shelved.

- though ultimately a force for good, their methods can be a bit unsavory. Shadow isn’t afraid to put G.U.N.’s “animals” down, for instance. Omega has no qualms with total sonic annihilation if it means taking down eggman with him. And rouge is rouge.

V3 pretty easily has the best median case quality overall uhh probably case 5 again

the series can put out some genuinely pretty good mysteries and the characters that aren't just death cannon fodder can be pretty good

Biggest problem especially from 2 onward is how formulaic it can be. case 3 is always 2 victims (and it always sucks idk why they like this one so much), case 4 is always an environment change, etc. it's mostly a problem with case 3, I think the case 4s are pretty good, but still. Also not to beat a dead horse but with some characters like the pink girl in UDG they do not handle their subject matter uhh particularly well

haven't watched the 1 anime, DR3 the anime is perhaps the single biggest waste of my time i've ever permitted myself to sit through. i'm pretty sure the links I was making up in my head beforehand were better than what the anime showed me. Genuinely the worst thing I watched that year.

The most mediocre shooter I've ever played (play ultrakill instead) and it was absolutely not worth it for what it contributed to the series.

if we're counting the anime then DR3. at least UDG had parts of it that I thought were ok, DR3 is only good for exactly the length of time Nagito is on screen

V3 is just the best game in the series, pretty good overall case quality (3 is still the worst but it's better than the last two) and I think the important characters in that game are broadly the best collective group in the series.

in which the reader and neville take acid, and have a fun trip together.

i got inspired due to the fact i had to trip sit like 6 or 7 people the other night so enjoy whatever this is lolol

“oh, shit. this is actually about to happen...”

those were the words that came from your best friend, neville longbottom. you two sat calmly on his bed, ron, harry, seamus, and dean all present in the room.

“we don’t have to do this, you know. if you’re too scared then we should just—“

“no! i want to do this. it seems cool!” he quickly interjected, taking a quick glance at the tab sitting patiently on the plastic bag in front of both of you. you laughed at your best friend, surprised by his eagerness to take muggle drugs.

“you guys won’t like—die, right?” ron asked, not really knowing if he was trying to reassure himself or you two.

you rolled your eyes at the ginger, “no, ronald. we won’t die. we’re taking one tab each, and trust me... i’ve seen people take way more than that and be completely fine.”

“so why did you ask us to be here?” seamus added, a book settled in his hands as his back was propped up against his headboard.

“because, asshat! it’s only my second time ever taking LSD and it’s neville’s first time!”

“i thought you said you’ve never done this before...” neville stated, his face now visibly sweating. you smiled at him,

“i’ve done magic mushrooms, nev. but never acid.”

his mouth formed into an ‘o’ shape, and he quickly looked down at the two tabs once more. you could tell that he was anxious, simply from the way his hand made its way up to his neck and began to rub it. you grabbed the same hand, and put yours over it. “hey, you’ll be alright. there’s nothing to be scared of. and if you do start having a bad trip, i told all of them how to get you out of it, alright?”

he couldn’t help but to send you a small smile. you were always so good at making him feel relieved, reassured. it was one of the reasons why he adored you so much.

“so...” you began, picking up one of the tabs carefully, making sure that it wouldn’t get on your skin. “are you ready?”

neville looked at the tab once more, and sighed. “yeah. fuck it.”

you chuckled, and passed him his tab, “fuck it.”

at the same time, you two put the tab directly on your tongue. you could already feel the tab slowly dissolving, and for a quick moment regret filled your body. but you pushed it away, as you didn’t want to make neville nervous. you wanted his first trip to be good, unlike yours was.

“how long does it take to work?” neville asked, throwing the plastic bag in the trash bin right beside his bed.

you thought for a moment, trying to recollect your past knowledge from doing LSD. “about thirty minutes to an hour. but, it really all depends on the person, i suppose.”

he nodded, and began to play with his fingers.

you let your back fall onto the headboard, and moved some hair from your face.

“now... we wait.”

almost a whole hour had gone by, and neville stared up at the canopy, waiting for something, just anything to happen.

“still nothing, longbottom?” dean asked him, staring intently at his friend.

“yeah, nothing...” he muttered in response, “what about you, y/n?”

if neville or any of the other boys would’ve been a bit more attentive, they would’ve noticed how you were practically lost in your own world. everything was so bright, the most beautiful environment that you had ever seen. the wrinkles in your hands wiggled, and the print on the wall seemed to move like the ocean.

“uhh—you guys?” harry suddenly announced, and he pointed over towards you.

the boys looked over, and saw you staring at neville’s bed side table intently. you were on your knees, staring at the printed wood and the way it danced. you almost began to dance with it until neville got your attention,

“y/n? are you alright?”

you looked over at him, and he was shocked to see the brightest smile on your face that he had ever seen. “fantastic. the best i’ve ever felt!”

you couldn’t explain it, but it was the best you ever felt. your physical body on its own felt as if it were on cloud nine, and the things you were seeing... it was brilliant.

“look at the table. it’s dancing!” you squealed excitedly, pointing at the thin lines imbedded into the wood. neville, out of pure curiosity, looked exactly where you were pointing at. but, he didn’t see the wood dancing like you were.

“i don’t see anything. i guess it’s not working for me...” he sighed, envious of how happy you seemed from the affects.

you slowly got up, and looked over at him. you were making every attempt possible to ignore the visuals that covered your eye sight. you walked over to him, a small smile still planted onto your face. you bent down in front of him,

“it hit.” you whispered to him,

“what?”

you stared into his eyes, “it. hit.”

in that moment, neville truly believed in the power of words. because as you stood up, a blurred version of your figure followed. as if everything happening all in this moment was delayed.

neville’s eyes widened, and he looked down at his hands. he noticed the way the faint lines in his palm moved, and how they seemed to be wrapping around on each other. he closed his hand, and opened it right back up to make sure he wasn’t just seeing things.

no. this was actually happening.

“you guys... look at my hand! look! it’s moving!” neville started to shove his palm into his ron’s face, and ron laughed when he saw that his palm actually wasn’t moving.

you two began to get lost. lost into a trip that came in waves, but nonetheless, quite enjoying.

every time you looked at the walls, they seemed to move with your every step. you kept giggling at it, earning questionable stares from your designated “trip sitters.”. the bed posts seem to grow, shrink, and do the same thing all over again. at one point, you needed to use the bathroom. but as you walked passed a random mirror within the dorm, the need to relive yourself faded away.

in the mirror, you could say you saw multiple things. but, that wouldn’t even be a good enough explanation for what you saw. your face began to grown a shade of purple, a lavender shade. and you saw two extra terrestrial seeming ears grow out of the top of your head.

“neville, come check this out!” you blankly stated, too lost in thought and sight to even put any emotion into your words.

he quickly made his way over to you, and looked in the mirror as well.

it didn’t take long before the two of you were shouting about crazy things, and laughing your asses off.

“these crazy people, mate. i swear!” ron joked, shaking his head at the two of you.

as you sat up from neville’s bed, a large wave of sadness crashed into you. you knew this was bound to happen, just not as soon as you woke up.

you looked over, and spotted neville sleeping soundly. his hair was messy, and his lips were parted a bit. small snores escaped him, and you smiled at the way he looked, but your come down didn’t let you feel too happy for long.

“neville...” you nudged him, attempting to wake him up nicely. “neville... wake up...”

his eyes fluttered open slowly, and he smiled when he realized that you were over him, staring at him.

“hi.” he hummed, and you greeted him back with a quick, “morning.”

but from the way your face looked, neville could tell something was wrong. he had known you for so long, that he knew just one face drop always indicated that something was going on.

“what’s wrong, love?” he asked sweetly, mentally pleading for you to lay down next to him.

“i just feel...” you began, but trailed off getting lost in your own thoughts, “i just feel sad. like... noting is ever going to get better.”

you had talked to him about the affects of LSD, and how it made certain people react. and of course you didn’t forget to tell him about the infamous come down. he had retained as much as he could, so he knew from your statement that it was simply the drugs talking.

“y/n... that’s not true. you know that. everything can get better.” he assured you,

you looked over at him, “you said can. but... what if they don’t?” your voice cracked, and you could feel the sob climbing up your throat, desperately trying to escape your lips.

neville sighed, and quickly pulled your arm, asking if you to lay down next to him. you did so easily, making no complaints about receiving comfort in this moment.

he held you tight, and pressed a small kiss to your temple as he fixed the blanket that laid over the both of you. when he settled in once more, all it took was a look of adoration from him to make your lip quiver, and for a small cry to leave your body.

“oh, y/n... it’s alright...” he whispered, petting your hair gently as you cried into his chest. he couldn’t help but to feel his heart shatter into thousands of pieces hearing you sob like this. he knew it was just the routine of doing muggle drugs, but merlin, he hated seeing in this state.

you both laid still, and neville let you cry and ramble on about philosophical topics. he listened carefully, running his fingers through your hair gently.

when you calmed down, you nuzzled up closer to him.

“i had fun with you last night, nev. thanks for always doing stupid shit with me...” you chuckled through your tears, wiping them away with your hand.

“well, you want to know something?”

you hummed in response, looking up at him.

“i would do it all over again.”

 We also rated our survivability in all of our collective games, since Mars isn't an author! Fun stuff! Spoilers, though: it’s really not looking so great for me (Dani) but that’s fine!!!  😌

1. I’m a photographer as well as a graphic artist (but not like. A painter/drawer kind of artist!) and, on a general level, a maker and a tinkerer!

2. Fountain pens! I only write with ink, and only with fountain pens, and I use bottled inks/converters!

3. I’m pretty eclectic with music, but my top genres are alt rock, indie, indie pop, etc, as well as top 40s and some rap.

4. I feel like this is the hardest one for me to answer? Favorite movies/shows? Avatar: the Last Airbender has been a favorite show of mine since I was a little kid, but I have a harder time thinking of shows I would call a favorite in recent years. There are shows I’ve liked, and a lot of shows I’ve watched. But I’m picky! And demanding! It takes a lot to earn a place in Dani’s Trophy Case of Favorites. 😌 I would say I quite liked A Quite Place (movie), and I liked Us (movie). When it comes to TV shows, I have a hard time being pleased with them if they don’t end well. As a result, I have a penchant for a good limited series/miniseries (because they’re stories that have an end in mind and the plot reflects that, dagnabbit).

5. Heh. Okay.

In The Goodfellows? I think I stand I chance. I can exercise my sparkling wit and lovable personality to the best effect. I’m gonna give myself an 8/10 survivability rating. Even if I don’t have the right skills, I can go crying to the person who does and they’ll save me. Maybe.

In Creatures’ Cradle? I’m super $**!%d. 😌 1/10 survivability rating. And that 1 is me being nice to myself. The day the apocalypse breaks out I would probably be patient 0. I am self-aware. I would not do well in an apocalypse. Zombies care not for aforementioned sparkling wit and lovable personality, and I have all the muscle of a boiled spaghetti noodle. So it’s a no go.

Greater Than Gods (Cruz): Well. I’m going to be optimistic. And say that I have the wisdom not to do things I shouldn’t do and not to rock boats I shouldn’t rock. I’m going to give myself a 7/10 based on insider information, but also based on reckless optimism!

Vardir (Cruz): Cruz says this is a lighthearted game, so 10/10 LOL.

When it Hungers (Roast): I’m giving myself a nice, mediocre 5/10. I think I could put my mind to work here; I joke that I’m the village idiot, but I’m actually pretty smart! Unfortunately, I’m also curious, and maybe a little bad with authorities who won’t answer my questions. So I knocked off a lot of points due to the fact that I’d probably poke the metaphorical bear. So it’s a real coin flip as to whether I’d really make it or not.

Orthall Bay (Nines): Considering the genre is “horror” and the game intro includes the words “monster” and “maim,” I’m giving myself a whooping, enthusiastic 3/10. Yes, folks, I am that confident in myself! Once again, I can’t charm the socks off a monster (or can I?), so one of my greatest weapons is snatched from beneath my feet. Alas!

1. Beloved I’m a college student in the middle of a pandemic... i can hardly even write LOL i do draw at times which u can see in my personal blog (nothing too good really) and i used to do karate before things went to shit <3

Greater than Gods: Highly situational, the world GtG is set in is as broad as the real world LOL so I don’t have an universal answer. But keeping it vague, and knowing my own personality, I feel like 5/10. depends on my luck.

I'm gonna give myself a solid 5/10 in all other WIPs because y'all aren't writing lighthearted stories either. I feel like as long as I avoid the role of the MC I will be mostly fine. I hope. But as Dani said I'm also prone to fight the wrong person and dig my own grave so 😌

1. Well, writing is a very, very, very, distant hobby since Words Hard, but I like to crochet and sculpt a little! Anything to do with fiddling with my hands and I’m good to go. And like, debatable but graphic design is my passion [insert clown emoji here since Tumblr said No]

2. Oh yeah a bunch! DnD yelling at people, thinking of arson, crocheting, rock climbing and simply vibing. I got into podcasts a few years ago and I’m always looking for more recs, so if you have some, hmu 😤

3. Pls,,,,my music taste is,,,so weird do not let me expose myself with lack of consistency but uhh. Current songs that are stuck in my head include; Cult of Dionysus , Achilles Come Down and The Last Shanty  

4. If you’ve ever spoken to me before, I probably yelled about Pacific Rim to you or at you. Plus I love all The Mummy films and really enjoyed Castlevania (s3 excluded, we do not perceive that) as well!

Alright, let’s go!  I don’t have a WIP because again, words hard, but like, considering how feral I am when not tryna seem professional hm... 

The Goodfellows: I wanna say a solid 7/10 because I’d hardcore vibe with the Traveler and probably instigate so much nonsense. I can also bribe with blueberry cake so maybe. 

Creature’s Cradle: maybe a 4/10 and only because of pure spite keeping me alive long enough to smack someone. I’ve prepared for hypothetical  zombie apolcapyses and I won’t hesitate to bap, but will be bapped back because I’m weak as hell. 

Greater Than Gods: a toss up between 2/10 and 7/10! I can vibe and be chill but I also have terrible impulse control so... 

Vardir: hm....I think pretty good survival rates all around? If you ask me to fight then like, okay sure, your knees are mine. So maybe a 8/10? 

When it Hungers: .......8/10 just because I’d refuse to die if I can be a cool creature. Living for the aesthetic can and will drag me outta hell. But I’m also clumsy as hell so I’d probably crash as a porcelain or hold a rooster and perish (aka, real rating is a good 3/10) 

Orthall Bay: 2/10, nope. Nope I’d be taken out in a heartbeat. Monsters can go pspsps and I’d head straight into the dark creepy forest like a fool if someone comes @ me. Half the time I’ll just assume it’s sfx makeup and vibe until it’s too late.

1. If I'm not writing, I'm usually watching video essays on Youtube. My go-to channels as of right now is Disrupt and Aperture! I just really like their videos. Aside from that, I recently got into podcasts. Currently going through Hello From The Hallowoods and Shelter and Warning, which are made by queer creators!

2. Oh oof, there's quite a bit so I'm just gonna put down one thing. For some reason, I really got into collecting tiny astronaut things? I recently bought this astronaut desk light, and I've got a package coming in for the miniatures I ordered. No purpose for them other than I think they're neat <3

3. I'm a bit private with my music taste (even tho I have Spotify connected on Discord lmao), but there's 5 songs that I'm currently obsessed with. I keep replaying them over and over again. Just squeezing all the serotonin I could get outta them.

4. I can't really say I have a fave TV show or movie because I can't really just pick one, but my current fave is 9-1-1 and Resident Alien. 9-1-1 because I just really love the found-family dynamics and how the show tackles sensitive topics, and Resident Alien because it's lighthearted comedy. My all-time fave movie is Flipped! I have the book too and I like rereading from time to time <3

Then again, it's a vast environment change and while I can adapt pretty quick, I wouldn't like the lack of control in the unknown.

Going off what Cruz said, Vardir is lighthearted and focused on personal growth so I think I'll be okay! Self-growth here I come, babey!

Maybe I'm overestimating myself, but I think I'll be able to survive in a supernatural post-apocalyptic world! Ah, but it depends on the motivation though. I like the idea of rebuilding communities and eventually societies, but the survival turmoil would be a constant battle I'd have to overcome. If we're talking survival itself though, I think I'll do well.

When it Hungers: 8/10

That's probably my wishful thinking but I think I'll be fine. Maybe. Possibly. Don't like the idea of being regulated by an organization so if I was a non-human creature that could pose a problem but I can roll with it <3

Orthall Bay: 6/10

Assuming I'm not playing as MC, my chances of survival uhhh changes quite drastically. Not enough to guarantee an untimely demise, but certainly enough that it would constantly keep me on my toes. I think that's the safest answer I can get without spoiling anything lmao

1. Too many :'D I knit, I sew, I do carpentry (well, learning), I bake, I'm hammering away at HTML and CSS, my job kind of encourages learning new things and I take that to picking up new hobbies!

2. My time is kind of consumed with school work and work work and WIP work so not a lot of time to pursue niche interests right now. I've been watching a lot of horror game playthroughs, true crime youtubers, and an adorable show on Netflix called the Repair Shop <3

3. My taste in music is "what am I vibing with atm?" I've been listening to a lot of 80's music atm (don't @ me), but also Lo Fang and Kaleo, and whatever spotify recommends me on my discover weekly which is usually complete chaos.

4. I love the Mummy even though it hasn't aged 100% well (I'm a librarian, of course it's one of my gotos LOL), Legally Blonde, Leverage, Jumanji (the original), I'm....very bad at having recent tastes... and very bad at remembering my favorites when asked.

Aforementioned long ask post please excuse me while i try to figure out tumblr's new text editor. I’ll get into the art meme questions first and then the rest at the end.

Ok first of all thank you all for sending in questions! Giving me an excuse to talk hehe. I’ll address these in number order. Here’s a link to the ask meme for reference but also I’ll restate the question for ease of reading.

1. When did you get into art?

Super cliche answer but I don’t remember a time where I WASN’T the weird art kid! I started keeping a dedicated sketchbook when I was about 12? But here’s a page from my kindergarten journal about what I want to be when I grow up.

2. What art-related sites have you ever signed up for? 

LOL this is a weird question. Not sure why so many people want to know. Anyways I definitely had a dA. more than one dA account. I used to browse oekakis when I was a kid but I think I was only signed up to some small ones that internet friends owned. What else...? Mangabullet,Tegakie, Paintberri, iscribble back when that was a thing, instagram if that COUNTs, I used to post art on livejournal and dreamwidth too. Patreon, I guess. Gumroad, inprnt, bigcartel, storenvy all for selling stuff.

In terms of resources.. I have a schoolism account that I’m sharing with friends. Used to take classes on coursera for free. I signed up to textures.com for work recently haha. I can’t remember if I ever had an account on posemaniacs. Did they have accounts...? I definitely used to visit all the time.

3. Show us your oldest piece of art you have on hand.

Alright here’s me actually logging into my old deviantart account. These are from September 2008 So I was 13 years old. I don’t have a deviantart account from before then because 13 was the required age for having an account and I didn’t want to lie about my age because I wanted people to be impressed by how young yet clearly incredible at art I was LOL.

4. What defines your artistic style?

You guys are probably more equipped to answer this than me but uh... I wanna say... Focus on colors. And... a slightly heavy hand? Like confident... not always well-considered mark making HAH...

Also I think I have a pretty healthy mix of american comics/manga influences. I feel like people who are into american comics always think my art is too manga and people who are into anime/manga always think my art is too american. And I’m taking that as a good sign.

5. Do you practice other styles/have you tried other styles in the past?

I like to think I switch it up a bunch! I mean, these are pretty different, right?

I think I’ve mentioned this before but one thing I really took away from art school is that, for an illustrator at least, art style shouldn’t be consistent. Your greatest weapon is changing the aspects of your style based on the task, the emotions and message you want to illustrate etc. So depending on the project I’m working on, the fandom I’m drawing for, whether I want something to be funny or serious or dramatic, I’ll change things about my style all the time.

One thing I don’t rly post on here is really tight polished work and that’s because I do that for my day job haha. If you’re not paying me... I’m probably not gonna color in the lines.

6. What levels of artistic education have you had?

I have a whole ass diploma LOL. Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration. from the Rhode Island School of Design. And I had a great college experience tbh. Besides the student loans. If any of you guys are thinking about art school feel free to e-mail or message me questions or concerns, I’ll be happy to help. Be as honest as I can be.

8. What is your favourite piece that you have done?

Well, obviously this is gonna change all the time and generally it’s gonna be my most recent piece LOL. So yeah, why the hell not. I’ll say it’s this one. I have a pretty short memory which I count as a blessing for an artist. I don’t dwell that long on older work and it keeps me moving forward.

10. What do you like most about your art?

I like that it’s something that only I would make! I had this thought fairly recently and I wrote it down in my sketchbook, it’s pretty cheesy and rambling but it felt revolutionary at the time:

So yeah. I like my art best when it’s the most me and for me. And I like it least when it feels like I’m just making something for social media or for other people’s expectations or whatever.

14. What do you like drawing the most?

Kids in baggy clothing are like my go-to LOL idk if that’s obvious. but also I like being challenged so lately I’ve really loved drawing multi-character compositions, environments, weird angles, etc.

oh i LOVE drawing the underside of shoes lol. And bandages. People that are kinda beat up.. I think it comes from getting a bunch of cuts all the time. I’m always patching myself up and I want to patch characters up too.

15. What do you like drawing the least?

mmm I try to find something to like in every drawing but lets see... I don’t like doing commissions of people’s dogs. Just because it’s normally like... a family friend and my mom volunteered me without my consent and I don’t even really know what they’re expecting me to draw and I don’t even get to meet the dog. Also I’m not that great at dog anatomy. Trying to learn though.

18. What is your purpose for drawing?

This could have a million answers! Uhhh to GIT GOOD??? But also to express myself... and also to make money... I mean it depends on what the drawing IS. I draw fanart mostly to connect to people in the fandom so if you ever see me drawing fanart please take it as like an open invitation to talk to me about the character haha. 

20. How would you rank your art? (poor, mediocre, good, etc.)

Good!!! I have a lot of self-confidence primarily born out of ignorance and a short attention span. If I don’t think too hard about how many other artists are mindblowingly unfathombly good... its easy to think I’m good too! LOL

In all seriousness though, I think the opinion a person has of their art is like a crazy balancing act, right? Like you have to think you suck enough to want to get better but also you have to think you’re good enough to not want to give up. I think we’re all walking that line, I know I am! But also I’m a glass half-full type of person so. Most of the time I feel good about it.

22. List at least one of your “artspirations.”

This is a good question because I’ve been trying and failing to put together one of those “influence map” memes for like a full month now. What’s giving me a hard time is I feel like none of these are actually really obvious “““influences”““ in my art? Like it’s hard to see a lot of them in the work I make...? But idk maybe you guys’ll see what I can’t.

And these are just a couple! God there’s so many more. I could talk about other artists for ages, from all different genres of art. Daumier, Rockwell like every illustrator out there, Dana Gibson, Alex Toth, Hiroshi Yoshida, a lot of the Brandywine School. Lots of current working artists too, Karl Kerschl, frikkin Masashi Kishimoto lol, Jake Wyatt, Richie Pope, Edouard Caplain, Matt Cook, Sachin Teng, - lots of big internet artists, Sophie Li, Freddy Carrasco, Milliofish, Angela Sung... like all my friends from art school too. I could just keep going but I’ll stop for now lol.

24. Do you have a shameful art past? (recolour sprite comics, tracing art, etc.)

I mean if that’s how we’re defining shameful?? sure LOL. It’s not sprite comics but I used to do pokemon sprite recolors all the time. And I used to trace manga panels and color them... Granted this was all when I was like under 12 yrs old so it’s not even embarrassing. Can you really call it shameful when a 7 year old wets the bed or whatever? Not really. In fact some of these are cool as fuck. Look

I think a lot of artists on social media talk about the struggle of making art but imo not enough people talk about the joy! Like I know it’s corny but. I really meant what I said at the beginning of that sketchbook about re-contextualizing art around process and progress > product and perfection. I think its super important..! The strength of messy, unfinished, and energetic art! For the feeling of it, for the love it!

Hi! I totally have the answer for digital stuff on my faq lol. But in terms of drawing on paper.. it varies! I tend to use sketchbooking and any on-paper doodling I do as a way to loosen up/warm-up or experiment. But right now my go-to aresenal is:

- tombow fudenosuke

- muji 0.38 ballpoint

- medium size poscas

- grey tombow double brush pens

- good ol bic mechanical pencil

not EXACTly sure which inking you referring to from my sketchbook but if I had to take a guess it'd probably be the kuretake no55. That's been my main inker, lately. Great for sketching with the thin end too.

okay i wanted to go into more detail with this bc i didn’t really explain it before and i like the work i’m doing so i wanna talk about it more lol. but everything in the photo above is actually something i made in a program called maya, a 3D graphics software. i’ll explain how i did it after the cut bc it got long lol 

so i started by just modeling out all the objects, so i started with the shelf, then made the record player, then the speakers. i also added some walls later just to add to the effect. here’s what the record player and shelf looked like just as models:

then i made what’s called a UV map, which is basically where you take the 3D objects above and “unfold” them to make 2D shapes that match the objects. so here’s my UV map for the record player:

then i import that into a software like photoshop (except i used a free site called photopea bc i’m a broke college kid, but it works well enough so i’d recommend it) and then i found some random textures on google images and lined them up with the outlines according to how it should look as a 3D object. then i import the new layout, called a color map, back into maya and apply it as a texture onto my objects. here’s the color map for the record player:

(i don’t have a version that shows the outlines, bc you have to make that layer transparent in photoshop or else the lines show up on the object. but whatever is outside of the outlines doesn’t get transferred over onto the texture)

then i added lighting to make the scene actually look good. this is my favorite part because it makes everything look so much better and more realistic. here’s a before and after of my scene with lighting:

and like i said i added some walls to add some effect to it! i also made a little window to get the light rays against the wall, so here’s another angle so you can see what that looks like:

so yeah that’s how i made that picture! this is basically how virtual environments are made for things like movies and games. maya is used a lot for movies because it’s a pre-rendering software, which basically means that the images are premade before being used. video games will use real time engines like the unreal engine, which creates its images in real time as players move through worlds. games like fortnite and jedi fallen order were made with unreal engine, but it’s kinda cool because as technology improves, real-time is starting to be used in things besides video games. so if you’ve seen the mandalorian, all the backgrounds in the mandalorian were made in unreal engine and are rendered in real time as actors act out their scenes! it’s super cool

adore the idea of the dino game so much I would love playing it sm!! uhh do you have any more thoughts on the main dino? if not then if you have anything else about the game in mind 👀

I'm a little bit uncertain about a lot of the stuff going on with the main dino just cause I haven't hit that point in my research yet (I'm. still working on locations hakdhskdj) but! They are a triceratops and I've been leaning more towards having them be a juvenile rather than a baby since I think design-wise they'll be a bit more recognizable? but I will have to check the size of a juvenile triceratops before I make a final decision on that.

Other random stuff about them uhhhhh oh I Cannot decide if the dino should have a name. Like does it even make sense for them to have a name? What would the name even be if they do have one?? I'm kinda leaning more towards them needing one cause I have been thinking for at least part of the game, they would have a friend stick with them on their journey (like you know how rhinos and birds have a symbiotic relationship? that's what this would also be like) and in that case I would probably need a name for that friend to refer to them by. I'm still not 100% sure I'm going to go that route cause I don't know if triceratops had a symbiotic relationship with any other creature, but I probably could find a justification for it anyways. It is the end of the world after all hakfhksjd

Gameplay-wise, they can jump a little bit and interact with the environment in a lot of different ways (nudging something with their head, standing on their hind legs and pushing, full on ramming something with their frill, etc), and I've kinda had the idea that they would be able to swim very short distances after a certain point in the game. Again, I'd still need to do more research on that to see how viable it is but that might be one of the few creative decisions I would make with this game just cause I would like the gameplay to be varied just a little bit more

Also! I think I shared this in some post already but anyways, here's some doodles of them! I don't see the design changing all that much (since I haven't picked colors yet) beyond me just understanding how to draw dinosaur anatomy better hajdhsjdjsn

lol it’s been a while, but finally making an update on the original VN I’ve been (very slowly) working on. I meant to do this like a month ago but wanted to finish up some sketches first and then all of well everything happened and I got distracted oops. planning on just posting most general updates on here tho, there’s not much point putting original stuff behind a paywall atm, I figure the better way to get ppl interested is to talk abt it here

anyway I’ve decided to just jump right into making it rather than trying to make another smaller game, mostly cause I haven’t had any better ideas and also cause the coding was honestly easier than I expected anyway.

Been making some progress on the design/aesthetic stuff (like the logo and sprite/menu roughs above), plus some boring back end stuff setting up some of the mechanics/systems the game is gonna use in renpy, which tbh sounds way fancier than it is... but anyway this will get long so I’m gonna put the rest under the cut

I posted it above, but I made a new logo! I honestly wasn’t planning to at first, I was just making some minor updates to it so I could try out some interface layouts, and then next minute I’d been fussing with it for like four hours, oops. But I like the way it turned out (tho I might fiddle with the i a bit more...) it fits the aesthetic nicely, tho I still need to make an actual like. vector version of it to actually use in things

anyway, as for the game itself I’ve mostly just been setting up the different stat systems, and I’ve got a working glossary, stats and friendship system going, though they’re very bare bones at the moment, as you can see below

they weren’t actually as hard to put in as I thought they would be tbh, the glossary was actually harder weirdly enough ha ha. though they’ll probably get more complicated once there’s actual Content to deal with...the actual game itself is still very basic tho

I have been doing some interface designs, all still very rough wireframes tho. most of them honestly were basically illegible to anyone but me, but I do have this nicer looking wireframe of the stats page that I put together. I tried to work as much with the existing renpy layout as possible, as editing the layouts of things in renpy is a Huge Pain compared to just changing colours and slapping nice background art in is lol. the fourth character here is a character who I’m still working on finalising some of the design and story for, so I can’t show her yet, but Soon

one new character I Can show off tho (as you can see from the first sprite art I posted, ignore how messy it is, they were mostly just to rough out the interface) is this guy:

I am very indecisive abt names but I’m like 90% settled on naming him ‘Kai Parata’, he’s a young mechanic working at his family’s mechanic place where he mostly works repairing mechanical pets. He and Trinity become very good friends ;)

On the subject of the story, I haven’t been working on it as actively as the other parts, in the sense that I haven’t written any actual scripts or anything, mostly just spit balling ideas around parts of the story I’ve been struggling with. I’ve had this story idea since I was like, 15, and that’s definitely meant a lot of the writing process has been course correcting Bad Ideas I came up with when I was a teen lol. And the ‘bad idea’ I’d been struggling with lately was the police elements of the setting. I’d been pretty hmm abt it for a year or two now already but these last few months were uhh definitely the nail in the coffin that made me actually commit to changing it. While the story never really framed them as ‘good’, I mean its a dystopia the cops being shitty is basically a genre requirement, and it’s a fairly minor part of the story, I still didn’t feel anyone would be comfortable reading abt it, and I def wasn’t comfortable writing it anymore.

But once I actually dug into it, I realised it wasn’t actually super critical to the story, I’d rly only made a cop character in the first place cause I needed something to contrast a ‘hacker’ and that’s the first thing I thought of, but once I thought abt it there were wayy better options. Turns out making the character guy working in security at the big wig tech firm Skyler hacks into accomplishes literally the exact same beats story wise, fits way better with the story’s themes and world building, and also gave me a tonne of ideas for his backstory which I’d been stuck on for a while. And it isn’t going to make people’s skin crawl anywhere near as much... It’s certainly a much better direction for the story either way.

Anyway, that about wraps up most of what I’ve been working on. Next I’m probably going to start setting up the interface designs in game, and (hopefully) actually plotting out some of the story. I might also do some rough sprites and things too. Also actually design some of the environments too oops... anyway we’ll see.

Currently my plans for actually releasing stuff is probably just work on the game until I’ve got most of the core elements designed/implemented, and then just release a demo of the first few chapters for ppl to play so I can test it/gain interest. I had been considering doing like a mini spinoff first, but I never had any good ideas lol so I’ve just decided to go with a demo version. Who knows how long it’ll be before that happens tho, while the story doesn’t need to be finished I will need a p decent portion of the art done to even release anything. But things are getting there ya know
