So sad that wandering cultivator plantzun era was too short. His visage and stench were too powerful.

I'm just imagining a scene where he busts into an establishment, looking for some refreshments and he's just COVERED in dirt, grime, some other mysterious substances, and are those mushrooms growing on his clothes? His face is so dirty and his whiskers are so scraggly that you can't clearly see what he looks like. Obviously wearing no shoes by the way, dried mud are his new socks, maybe some thorns still stuck in his soles as well. His hair a completely greasy undone rats nest. He LITERALLY smells like a corpse that was unearthed from a swamp. SQQ does this sort of appearance several times at so many inns, taverns, and teahouses while wandering the realms that he is basically a cryptid. Some people believing that he is actually a corpse. Places of hospitality go into a tizzy when word reaches the area that he might drop by, kind of like when that one gross spirit that arrives at the bathhouse in the spirited away movie.

Even though he is unsettling and hard to be around cuz of the stench and grime, people still have this weird kind of respect for this wandering cultivator? Cuz he still gets the job done when there is trouble nearby?? He's also strangely polite??? So it's like *slowly pushes a plate of food as thanks for saving the town before quickly backing away before the smell reaches them* type vibes.

(Cut to SQQ, who is still addled from his resurrection, not realizing its that bad or after his body switch the grossness of braving the elements does not bother him anymore whatsoever. He is still very smug for having the perfect disguise though...)

smoking with ellie is something else,,, like she gets so Cocky about it. yeah yeah she looks hot when she’s staring at you as she inhales and exhales with practiced precision. she just looks so fucking cool. she’ll pass you the joint with an eyebrow raised and an unsaid “you ready?” because you’re relatively new to smoking. well, at least smoking the good shit ellie gets her hands on. better than the stuff you got from your half-assed flirting with the drug dealers at your high school. but now, it’s college and it’s been… a while so it’s like you are a newbie.

and god is ellie just the best teacher. she watches your form, her brows furrowed. she’ll tsk at you when you don’t inhale right, plucking it from your fingers to show you how to do it. how to inhale, not just into your mouth but into your lungs. when you take too big of a hit and are coughing your lungs up, she’ll pass you her personal water bottle [that’s covered in fading stickers].

she definitely doesn’t smoke a lot when she smokes with you for the first few times. she just gets reasonably high, in case you go too far and need her to help you. but it’s nice overall. you guys are smoking in the dorms, with a fan blowing the air out the window and a genius invention of spray that specifically covers the smell of marijuana. thank you joel! ellie being supposedly “cool” with the R.A. on your floor helps too.

ellie will soooo light the joint for you because you’re kinda bad at lighters. “it’s probably because it’s childproof and you’re practically a child, awww” “shuddup!” and yeah it’s true you’ve hurt your finger using a lighter, but you also don’t wanna give up the feeling you get when ellie leans forward, cupping her hand around the flame as she brings it to the end of the joint. you’re watching her and she knows it. she keeps the flame going until you’ve pulled enough and then her hands are down and the moment is gone… until she needs to relight it cause you are a storyteller when you’re high and will forget you have the joint until she takes it from you or flicks the lighter to get your attention.

Thinking of Dirk's well-being isn't important; he deserves to feel like shit, and Todd hopes he does. "Did you see crazy shit?" His sister asks, unaware of her brother's spiked agitation. He frowns. "No…" That's not exact truth. And he can't lie to her anymore than he's already done so. "… not really?" He settles on. He can't explain something he barely glimpsed. "Huh… well, something did happen to Dirk. And you." "Which is…?"
