when u realize every mean and nasty thing said about women (women will die alone w 4 cats if she doesn't settle for whatever lame ass broken loser proposes to her first and lower her standards, women fall in love too fast, women open their legs to any Chad that walks in the room and ignore the Good Man Who Just Happens To Be Ugglieee Right Next To Her, women are too emotional, women have shallow friendships women lose value as they age) is false for most women but very true for weak men ur eyes start to open and u become free.
bc only weak men who:
have to settle for whatever women MAYBE picks them bc they ain't shit and their standards are way too high compared to who they actually are as people,
can't control their emotions and fall in love w the first woman that glances at them,
try to have sex with any woman who he finds hot and gets offended when 1. she turns out to be batshit crazy and has major self esteem issues so she was using him as a validation toy or 2. her standards are higher than Him, and then blames her for her desires rather than working on himself to become a man who can match the kind of woman he says he wants (but doesn't want to work for, not realizing that a woman like that REQUIRES at BARE MINIMUM a man who busts his ass for her and dedicates his life to her well being)
have no emotional control because the realm of the emotions is forbidden to them by their pride and they haven't explored the Feminine aspects of their psyches
^ due to fear of losing bro points with equally immature loser bros who sit around trying to impress each other while flexing their muscles and circle jerking about how cool their cybertrucks are or whatever,
are definitely losing value as they age bc they don't work on themselves to become Grown Men and only place value on outer qualities not inner growth,
are spitting this shit about women.
and realizing this is how you raise your standards for men and the kind of men you surround yourself with. because you're not the kind of woman to hang out with crazy immature babymen. so why bother yourself with fools any longer?

Ember Island Players…Racist Caricatures or Meta Commentary?
This episode was supposed to be a fun filler episode to recap the events of the show in a silly way before the series finale, but it’s managed to become arguably one of the most controversial episodes in the fandom. Over the years, Aang’s possessive behavior towards Katara has been rightfully criticized, but there are always people who attempt to justify everything Aang does.
Apparently, the latest iteration of this is the claim that—wait for it—we should be sympathetic towards Aang and give him a pass in The Ember Island Players because he felt “emasculated” due to the supposed “feminization” of his culture.
I’ve been called racist for saying this is a reach, but it’s more than a reach. It’s an entire acrobatics routine; a level of media illiteracy that shows a lack of understanding of the point of that episode.
Yes, Aang’s character is portrayed in a silly, mocking way. So are all of the other characters. That’s the point; the episode was a filler, a gimmick, and the underlying comedy is the fact that all of the characters are reacting to exaggerated, one-dimensional versions of their own personalities.
For example:
Katara is portrayed as an “overemotional crybaby” in her own words, and is constantly giving motivational speeches and crying
Sokka’s “comedic relief” archetype is played up to the point his lines are just corny one-liners
Zuko is portrayed as an angsty, whiny pretty-boy who acts like a bratty asshole at all times
Toph is a huge buff guy (although in this case, it’s a play on how her character was originally going to be a “jock” type male character)
As for Aang? He’s portrayed as unserious, goofy, and childish. Which—just like all the others—is a jokey exaggeration of his childish demeanor and nature. He’s not even alone in taking offense to his portrayal. All of the characters aside from Toph hate their characters for largely the same reason. They’re being confronted with aspects of themselves that make them insecure. For Aang, it’s his immaturity—and specifically his fears that he’ll be rejected by Katara.
As for why Aang is played by a woman? Well, we don’t actually have to wonder about that, because the creators themselves answer this question in the episode commentary.
Bryan: “It's sort of a self-referential joke. Whenever you do a animated show, they usually want to cast, uh, women...who are, like, in their thirties to play boys, because you never know how long the show is gonna go on, and, you know, as Jack mentioned earlier, boys' voices start cracking.” (source)
Wow, imagine that! An inside joke about the cartoon industry in a show’s meta-episode dedicated to making fun of itself? Impossible!
I’m serious though. The episode transcript is right here. Point me to where exactly there is even the slightest hint of anyone bringing up Aang’s culture and tying his childish behavior to it.
That’s right; it isn’t there. Because that wasn’t the point. Aang’s anger did stem from feeling emasculated, but it had nothing to do with culture and everything to do with his own misogynistic attitudes. He was offended at his portrayal on an individual level. I’m not denying that the issue of oppressive nations using femininity as an insult against men of colonized nations is a very real issue, but that was never a theme present in this episode. We don’t see Aang expressing anger towards the Fire Nation, nor do we see him mention anything about culture. What we see is Aang, individually, feeling insulting that his actor is female and Aang being angry at Katara, individually, because the play suggested she felt more attracted to Zuko than him.
Trying to downplay Aang’s behavior and suggest we coddle him despite his atrocious treatment of Katara is a disingenuous reading of the episode.
Why are you reaching to make an excuse for Aang when if you’re really taking the “the point of the episode is that the play is racially demeaning the characters” angle…and why are you not bringing up Sokka? He’s portrayed as a dumb oaf who is always talking about eating meat. There is a much stronger argument to be made there about caricatures, but Sokka isn’t threatening anyone’s ship so apparently nobody cares.
And while we’re talking about caricatures, how about this crap?
Sorry, Aang stans, but this show and Aang’s character aren’t the enlightened portrayals of anti-colonialism and groundbreaking activism you think they are. It’s pretty clear from the context and the episode itself what the intention here was. It is poorly aged comedy from the early 2000s written by white Americans. And we will continue to critique that, thanks.

What Sign (Astrology) is what Fear (The Magnus Archive)
I remember in the 2010s, on the astrology side of tumblr. A popular thing to was take albums and assign each song to the sign they felt represented. This is inherently an imperfect practice (Astrology is actually a very complicated process.), but taken lightly it can be loads of fun.
Disclaimer, I researched this stuff a years ago, and like The Fear, I'm basing all this on Feeling. I am by no mean an expert.
Aries - The Sluaghter - As an Archetype, Aries is the sign of The Warrior. The "youngest" of the signs, it's often seen as impulsive and reckless. Angered on the drop of a dime, and always ready for a fight.
Taurus - The Flesh - They are creature of comfort and gluttony. A sign who will work hard now so they can sleep longer later. The Bull, sturdy, strong, and grounded. Somehow the laziest and hardest working sign. They are lover of food, and the physical pleasures.
Gemini - The Stranger - This one feel like the stereotype. All Gemini are two-faced, fake, childish/immature. The eternal child. There is a whimsy to The Stranger.
Cancer - The Corruption - This one is complicated. They're sweet, caring, and nurturing. The Archetype of The Mother, but not The Matriarch. Another Archetype is seen as The Prostitute. This is complicated because it's not about sex, but that of giving yourself for the nurture of another. It is a love that consumes in all ways.
Leo - The Lonely - The Lion, The King. When will you learn that to be on top is to have no peers, no fellows.
Virgo - The Web - Their stereotype is that of a controlling and obsessive compulsive individuals. The is the sign of order.
Libra - The Web - This is a sign often stereotyped as " my way or the highway". Now mind you this is an exaggeration. This is the sign of balance, fairness, and whatever one's perceptions of that is. Equilibrium and Order. The Diplomate, Soft power.
Scorpio - The Dark... The Desolation - Guess this is where the jig is up. There is no one to one. They aren't comparable!!!!! Appropriate that I brake patterns at the sign that actually represents Death. But not The End. I have found most esoteric practice don't regard Death as finality, more a transition. This sign is that of mystery and power. Of night and rage. The Dark Feminine. If I'd have it my way, Agnus Montague would be a Scorpio.
Sagittarius - The Hunt - adventures, philosophy, and discovery are all associated with this sign.
Capricorn - The Buried - The most structured of the signs. This isn't order, but rigidity. Stren and Stoic. They have always been the biggest sweethearts I have ever meet, but they scare me, it not a malicious fear, but that of a child who respects their father. They inspire that sense of "masculine"(not gender specific) discipline.
Aquarius - The Vast - I know many will argue The Stranger, and you're right, all this shit is subjective. But hear me out. The Revolutionaries! The sign that look towards the future, towards endless possibilities, to infinity.
Pisces - The Spiral - The sign closest to divinity, The end of one cycle, and the start of another. What was that about doing the same thing over and over again? But ever The Dreamer you take another turn, another twist.
Aries - The Sluaghter....
The End can't really exist as a concept in this cycle.
But I think The Eye would be all of them. We are all the observers of our lives.
I think therefore I am, we are I.
Archives to our existence. I think that's why I like astrology. It's us trying to observe ourself and others. Find connections, coincidence, and magic in what "I was ment to have for breakfast", and maybe I wasn't. But it fun, these games we play with everyone.
I hope you're all having fun

Weiss and Jaune = Knight + Queen
Mirror Help me Who am I?
Weiss and Jaune are strong foils (mirrors), who can be analyzed through a specific motif.
They are both Knights (masculine):
And Queens (feminine):
This is made clear also through their respective allusions:
1 -Weiss alludes to Snowhite and plays all the different characters of the story with a specific focus on the Princess and the Prince, which is highlighted since the White Trailer:
Weiss and her inner Prince (Animus), who is corrupted and possessed by her Father
Here, Weiss fights a giant armor, which symbolizes the power her father (the patriarchy) has above her. She is fighting both for her freedom and to get back a possessed part of herself (the Arma Gigas is literally a haunted armor). If she wants to escape Jacques, she has to be her own Prince. In other words, to be crowned queen, she needs to become a knight first.
2 -Jaune alludes to Jeanne d'Arc who was both a maid and a knight. Jaune's story is about him growing into both. He needs to accept his inner maiden to become a proper knight. This is made clear in the Jaunedice's arc (this mini arc really works as Jaune's trailer). There he grows not when he gives in to toxic masculinity, but when he stands up to it:
Jaune performing his first miracle and later on being guided by his Goddess (Anima), who is none other than Pyrrha
Jaune makes progress when he nurtures his most feminine side and shows vulnerability by apologizing and asking for Pyrrha's help. A real man has no fear to show he is also feminine.
In short, both Weiss and Jaune's stories deal with the integration of their feminine and masculine parts, so that they can be full-fledged individuals.
ANIMUS AND ANIMA
Integrating the feminine with the masculine is a psychological process, which is described by Carl Jung with the archetypes of animus and anima:
The animus is the masculine part of a woman
The anima is the feminine part of a man
Each person has naturally both, but society promotes specific gender values and drives people to repress traits culturally associated with the opposite gender. So, to fully be complete a person should integrate the negated parts.
This is the case for both Weiss and Jaune, who are initially trapped in fixed gender roles:
Weiss is the rich spoilt princess. She is forced to adhere to the social role Jacques has chosen for her. She is the Schnee Heiress, which means she should always be classy, perfect and elegant:
Weiss: I'm. Not. Perfect! Not yet...
Jaune is instead the loser boy, who wants to be a knight. He doesn't really fit his gender nor social role. He is a male, but is weak, geeky and odd. He has a legacy of warriors to honor, but can't fight. So, he feels he isn't enough:
Jaune: I don't want help! I don't want to be the damsel in distress! I want to be the hero!
Basically they are both trapped in opposite ways. Weiss fits her legacy and stereotype so well people forget there is more to her. Jaune instead doesn't measure up to his ancestors nor to the classical male type, so everybody assumes he is bound to fail. This happens because Weiss and Jaune are victims in different ways of toxic masculinity:
As a girl, Weiss has to obey her father, to suppress her emotions and to be nothing, but beautiful. Think about how Jacques even weaponizes typical feminine traits Weiss has, like her talent at singing.
As a boy, Jaune has to conform to physical prowess and bravado. He has to be big, ripped and cool or else he is no-one. The idea he is not like the other boys is at the root of Jaune's insecurities.
At the same time, Weiss and Jaune are also incredibly immature and project outside the same gender roles they are trying to escape inside. Moreover, they do so specifically with each other:
Weiss: (mockingly) My hero.
This scene summarizes their whole early dynamic. On the one hand Weiss sees Jaune as the loser he is scared to be. She only sees his superficial bravado and misses who he is behind the mask. On the other hand Jaune is attracted to Weiss because he sees her as the perfect princess to his knight. So, he is drawn to the mask.
Even the reason Jaune initially falls for Weiss ties into this:
Weiss: Yeah! And we can paint our nails and try on clothes and talk about cute boys, like tall, blond, and scraggly over there!
Weiss here is mocking both Jaune and Ruby, two people she has misjudged and shows no respect for. She is being cold, superficial and rude. Still, Jaune falls for it and believes Weiss's words. He does because they describe Jaune as he wants to be perceived. So, he runs after Weiss and ignores Pyrrha.
In short, initially Weiss and Jaune can't see neither themselves nor others clearly. Luckily, this starts to change at Beacon.
ICE QUEEN AND VOMIT BOY
Sun: Ruby, Yang, Blake… Ice Queen.
Ruby: Look, I'm sorry! Vomit Boy was the first thing that came to mind.
Weiss and Jaune are given nicknames the moment they arrive at Beacon. This happens because they are both childish and self-centered, so they are called out by others. Specifically, their nicknames are light-hearted ways to criticize their perceived self-importance and the archetypes they are trying to emulate. Weiss is called an ice queen because she is acting as daddy's little princess. Jaune is instead jockingly named vomit boy because he tries too hard to look cool. They are still far away from who they want to become and their friends pick up on this. Luckily, giving them funny names is not all RWBY and JNPR do for Weiss and Jaune. Rather they help the two kids grow. In particular, Ice Queen and Vomit Boy develop in two different and complementary ways:
In volume 1 they learn to see who they are slightly better
In volume 2 they become able to see others with more clarity
Seeing One-Self
At the beginning of their stories Weiss and Jaune are running away from who they are:
I'm the loneliest of all.
Even when I told my parents I was going to Beacon, they told me not to worry if I ended up having to move back home. How depressing is that?
Both have big families, but feel lonely and misunderstood. So, they hope they can have a fresh start at Beacon, but immediately meet unforeseen circumstances:
By this point Weiss and Jaune are pursuing a superficial dream of heroes and monsters. They figure their most perfected selves beside the "right" patner.
On the one hand Weiss wants Pyrrha to be the "knight" to her "princess":
Weiss: This will be perfect! The smartest girl in class combined with the strongest girl in class! Together we will be unstoppable!
She wants someone strong (body) that complements her intelligence (mind). She thinks that in this way she can't fail.
On the other hand Jaune wants Weiss to be the "princess" to his "knight":
Jaune: Don't worry! No need to be embarrassed! So, been hearing rumors about teams! I was thinking you and me would make a good one! What do you say?
He wants someone who is beautiful and looks frail, so he can protect her. He thinks in this way he can appear strong.
Both are wrong obviously. This is why they end up with respectively Ruby and Pyrrha as partners.
Weiss needs to realize what complements mind is not body, but heart. This is why she is paired with Ruby, who lacks physical strength, but has more than enough heart to guide Weiss. Throughout the initiation, Weiss herself has to act as a Knight by saving Ruby from the Nevermore. And later on, she needs to follow Ruby's plan (so Ruby's mind) to take down the Grimm and pass the trial.
Jaune needs to realize a real knight is not physically strong, but is wise (mind) and brave (heart). This is why he ends up with Pyrrha, who is both and challenges him in two different ways. She doesn't fit feminine stereotypes and sees Jaune's value not in his superficial traits, but rather in his willingness to help. Throughout the initiation, Jaune shows this by staying behind to lead others into kiling the Grimm.
So, Ruby and Pyrrha are the ones, who can help Weiss and Jaune grow the most. However, the 2 kids struggle to accept it and enter into a conflict with their respective partners in The Bagde and The Burden and Jaunedice. These 2 mini-arcs are interesting because they do not really add anything to the main plot. Rather, they are episodes which focus on Weiss and Jaune respectively. Once again our wannabe queen and wannabe knight act as perfect foils to each other.
On the one hand Weiss is powerful enough to kill Grimms on her own, but wants to be the Queen giving orders. On the other hand Jaune has gained the title of leader, but wants to be the competent Knight slaining monsters.
In short, they want what the other has and miss what they already are. Why is that so? Because deep down they dislike themselves and can't see they have the seeds for greatness within. They don't need to look outside, but should nurture the inside.
Luckily, they are helped by 2 mentor figures:
Port: So instead of fretting about what you don't have, savor what you do. Hone your skills, perfect every technique, and be not the best leader, but the best person you can be.
Ruby: Because it's not just about you anymore. You've got a team now, Jaune. We both do! And if we fail, then we'll just be bringing them down with us. We have to put our teammates first, and ourselves second. Your team deserves a great leader, Jaune. And I think that can be you.
Port invites Weiss to grow as a person and Ruby reminds Jaune of his duties as a leader. So, Weiss and Jaune step up for the sake of their partners:
Weiss: Ruby, I think you have what it takes to be a good leader. Just know that I am going to be the best teammate you'll ever have!
Jaune: Don't ever mess with my team - my friends - ever again. Got it?
Weiss encourages Ruby to be a good leader and promises her she will be the best teammate ever. She even aknowledges she has always loved bunked beds and makes a small step in integrating with her inner child. Something necessary if she wants to blossom into an adult.
Jaune fights Cardin for Pyrrha's sake and decides to dedicate himself to his role of leader. At the same time, he accepts Pyrrha's help, so he shows vulnerability. In other words, he starts integrating with his feminine side. Something needed to become more mature.
So, by the end of their first semester at Beacon both Weiss and Jaune have come to understand themselves and their roles a little bit better. Still, they have yet a long way to go when it comes to the way they aknowledge others.
What better chance than a dance to work on it?
Seeing Others
When it comes to the dance, Weiss and Jaune find themselves in the same situation of the initiation ceremony. They are locked into "triangles":
Jaune wants to go to the dance with Weiss, who wants to go with Neptune
Pyrrha wants to go to the dance with Jaune, who wants to go with Weiss
They pursue the wrong partner and ignore another person's feelings. In this way they do to another what they lament it is done to them:
Weiss: All my life, boys have only cared about the perks of my last name.
Jaune: It's Weiss… I'm completely head over heels for her, and she won't even give me a chance. She's cold, but she's also incredible. She's smart, and graceful, and talented-- I mean have you heard her sing? I just wish she take me seriously, y'know?
On the one hand Weiss wants to be seen for who she is, not her name. And yet, she refuses to look earnestly at Jaune and doesn't even recognize his feelings as genuine (recognizing someone's feelings doesn't mean to reciprocate them by the way). On the other hand Jaune wants to be taken seriously, but the moment Pyrrha tries to open up to him, he reduces her feelings to a joke:
Jaune: Oh please, if you don't get a date to the dance, I'll wear a dress.
At the same time, both approach love superficially. Jaune has started to really like Weiss as a person, but he is still far from truly seeing the girl in all her complexity. Weiss is instead failing to recognize Jaune's good qualities and is attracted to Neptune's try hard persona:
Neptune: Haven. And I don't believe I've caught your name, snow angel.
The narrative makes it very clear Neptune is just a shallower, but better looking version of Jaune. He is a geek (like Jaune), but calls himself an intellectual. He flirts with every girl that breathes, waaaay more than Jaune does initially. And yet, he looks cooler, so Weiss is attracted by him.
This "double triangle" is solved positively in 2 different ways:
Weiss and Jaune start to display respectively more masculine and feminine traits
Weiss and Jaune learn to see others a little bit better
Weiss plays the part of the knight and invites Neptune to the dance:
Weiss: I know this is a little unorthodox, but… I wanted to ask you something. Would you… like to accompany me to the dance tomorrow?
Jaune plays the part of the maiden and wears a dress to accept Pyrrha's late invite:
Pyrrha: I had no idea you were a dancer. Jaune: Yeah, well, these things tend to happen when you grow up with seven sisters.
On a deeper level, Jaune confronts both Pyrrha (the ideal self he must aim to be) and Neptune (the past self he has outgrown).
Pyrrha: I've been blessed with incredible talents and opportunities. I'm constantly surrounded by love and praise, but when you're placed on a pedestal like that for so long, you become separated from the people that put you there in the first place. Everyone assumes I'm too good for them. That I'm on a level they simply can't attain. It's become impossible to form any sort of meaningful relationship with people. That's what I like about you. When we met, you didn't even know my name. You treated me just like anyone else. And thanks to you, I've made friendships that will last a lifetime. I guess, you're the kind of guy I wish I was here with. Someone who just saw me for me.
He realizes he has hurt Pyrrha's feelings and has failed to see her the whole time. At the same time, he calls Neptune out on how he has treated Weiss's feelings:
Jaune: Do you even care about the girls you're hitting on? How they feel about you?
And finally, thanks to his ideal self (Pyrrha), he is able to give his past self (Neptune) a good advice:
Jaune: Then just go talk to her. No pickup lines, no suave moves, just be yourself. I've heard that's the way to go.
In this way, Jaune shows he has grown more mature and crowns his evening by wearing a beautiful dress and proving he is a great dancer (differently from Neptune).
Weiss grows too. She accepts Neptune's apology and thanks to him, she is able to finally see Jaune for who he is:
Weiss: You said you were embarrassed at first. What made you come talk to me? Neptune: You're looking at him. You got some good friends looking out for ya.
She might not reciprocate Jaune's feelings, but Jaune is still her friend and cares about her as a person, not as a trophy. This moment marks an improvement of Weiss's overall dynamic with Jaune and she starts to see him as a close one, even praising him occasionally:
Weiss: Well, he's certainly improved.
This is a top off for Weiss's growth as a less judgemental person. This process starts with Blake and her prejudice against Faunus and goes on with Jaune and her misjudgement of him.
All in all, Weiss and Jaune's months at Beacon are key for the kids' early development:
Weiss grows through Ruby and Blake
Jaune grows through Pyrrha and his team
They keep walking parallel paths and slowly start to aknowledge each other more. Weiss starts to see Jaune not as a loser, but as a person who is trying hard. Jaune start to see Weiss not as a damsel, but as a talented individual with wishes of her own. Similarly, their relationship with their inner selves improves, as well.
By the time of the Vytal Festival, both Weiss and Jaune are making small steps toward who they want to become.
The Vytal Festival: Unsure Knight and Clueless Maiden
Weiss and Jaune's tournament fights display their better qualities. On the one hand Weiss sacrifices herself for Yang. On the other hand Jaune is able to lead his team well. They are both more selfless with a better understanding of their roles in their teams.
This growth is marked by important moments outside the arena.
Weiss meets Winter, who inspires her to branch out a little. This is the catalyst for Weiss's transformation into a knight:
Jaune notices Pyrrha is off and tries to step into an adviser position. Basically, he tries to do what Pyrrha has done for him. He tries to guide her by symbolically playing a more supportive role. Moreover, he tries to help Pyrrha making sense of maidenhood:
Jaune: I guess… I'm just trying to say that… you've always been there for me… even when I didn't deserve it. And I can tell there's something on your mind, so… I don't know. How can I help?
Obviously, they are both still immature. Weiss is dependent on her father and can barely summon a tiny sword. Jaune is ignorant and isn't able to give Pyrrha the right advice. Still, they both try, even if they meet an unforeseen crisis. The Fall of Beacon.
Weiss manages to step in to protect Velvet. She acts as a real Knight in Shining Armor:
Jaune does his best to stand beside Pyrrha, even in her darkest moment:
Jaune: She's right. Whoever was on that microphone… they're the ones that did this. And we have to make sure they don't take anyone else.
Despite this, they both fail in the end. Weiss can't save Beacon and loses her new found home and family. Jaune can't save Pyrrha and loses the girl he loves. So, after so much development and growth Weiss and Jaune wake up to discover it still isn't enough. So, the finale pushes them back in the roles they have tried to escape so desperately.
Weiss is brought back under her father's thumb. Jaune is shoved into a locker, forced to fly away like a loser. Weiss is once again daddy's little princess, while Jaune is once again a wannabe knight, who couldn't save the girl.
SNOWHITE AND JEANNE
Ren: Well that embarrassment - that desire to go back and tell yourself not to be so stupid - that just proves you're not the same person you used to be. You're smarter, you're kinder, you're stronger, and you're not done growing yet. None of us are.
The Mistral arc marks a metaphorical growth spurt for both Weiss and Jaune. This development manifests in the volume 5 climax, where their stories intersect:
This scene is a culmination of their respective developments and ties with both their allusions:
Snowhite dies, but is resurrected by the Prince
Jeanne D'Arc performs a mircacle and brings back a person from the death
So, it is clearly very important symbolically, but what does it mean for Weiss and Jaune's characters, specifically?
1- Weiss and Jaune overcome two fake Maidens
Vernal and Cinder are the two fake Maidens of the Mistral arc, as the opening of volume 5 suggests:
Vernal is set up as the Spring Maiden and Cinder is set up as Raven's biggest foe. And yet, neither of them lives up to expectations. On the one hand Vernal is just a red herring, while Cinder isn't Raven's true opponent, but Yang is.
At the same time, Vernal and Cinder are Weiss and Jaune's opponents during the Battle of Haven. Interestingly, they both challenge the kids about their true identities. Who are they really?
Vernal: Let's see what the Schnee name really means.
Cinder: Who are you again?
Vernal mocks Weiss by stating she is nothing outside her name and Cinder sneers at Jaune by telling him he is a nobody. These are Weiss and Jaune's biggest fears. Weiss is scared her only value is her Schnee name, whereas Jaune is terrified of being a loser. In short, both Vernal and Cinder attack Weiss and Jaune's egos and leave them shattered:
Vernal physically breaks Weiss's aura, while Cinder psychologically destroys Jaune by targeting Weiss, just like she did with Pyrrha. Vernal and Cinder's objective is really to reduce Weiss and Jaune to nobodies. And yet, they fail. That is because the self is not found in physical strength or power, but rather comes from inside:
Yang: You might be powerful, but that doesn't make you strong.
In this battle Vernal and Cinder really symbolize Weiss and Jaune's illusory sense of selves. Their ugly personas. This is why they are both fake. Fake maidens masked with strength and confidence. And yet, they are deep down made of lies.
Vernal derides Weiss because of her dependency on the Schnee Family. And yet, Vernal herself has dedicated her whole existence to the Branwen Tribe and even changed her name for Raven's sake. In other words, she has reduced herself to her Spring Maiden persona. She is the one, who is nothing more than a name. And a false one, to boot.
Cinder laughts at Jaune's wannabe hero performance, but a lucky strike by her opponent is enough to derail her. An inexperienced fighter like Jaune grazing her breaks Cinder's whole facade and shows the ugly psychological wounds she hides behind a mask.
This is why Vernal and Cinder defeat Weiss and Jaune, but ultimately fail and actually destroy each other. Vernal dies by Cinder's hand, despite how strong and smart she is. Cinder is unmasked by Raven and falls because of Vernal's final desperate attack, which ensures Cinder's defeat.
Weiss and Jaune instead are reborn thanks to each other. Weiss is physically saved by Jaune, whereas Jaune starts to psychologically heal through helping Weiss. Weiss unlocks a new summon, while Jaune discovers his semblance. In the end, Weiss and Jaune don't need to play by Vernal and Cinder's rules.
Weiss's strength doesn't lie in her individual skill, but in the relationships she has built with others. She doesn't have to survive on her own because she is full of loved ones ready to help her shine. And she can help them too.
Jaune is heroic not because he is a lonely warrior slaying villains, but because he is a good friend always ready to help. His value lies in his wish to protect others. Moreover, he can rely on them when he needs.
Weiss and Jaune's real selves are in their hearts, which are growing stronger. That is why they lose the physical fight, but win the spiritual one. They ultimately succeed, as Weiss's Queen Lancer is key to saving Haven and Jaune's Aura Amp is fundamental in saving Weiss. Weiss protects a Kingdom, while Jaune protects a girl.
2- Weiss and Jaune integrate with their animus/anima
Weiss and Jaune embrace their true selves by reconciling their masculine and feminine parts. Once again this process is conveyed through their allusions.
Our Snowhite dies and is reborn twice. The first time, Jacques (the Evil Queen) kills her psychologically by taking away her Heiress title and imprisoning her in her room (the glass coffin). Weiss is able to escape by developing her masculine side (the Knight).
She successfully draws energy from her animus (her inner Prince) and uses this new found resourcefulness to escape. She leaves behind her passiveness (feminine) and grows more active (masculine). This is why her summon symbolically breaks the window and immediately after Weiss makes the choice to leave.
The second time, Cinder (another Evil Queen) kills her physically, but Jaune (the Prince) saves her. As a result, Weiss wakes up and is crowned Queen.
Becoming Queen in fairy tales means you have reached self-actualization. So, Weiss has become her true self, which is a combination of feminine (queen) and masculine (lancer). The Queen Lancer then symbolizes Weiss reconciling with her anima (feminine part) by making it freer, more genuine and stronger through her animus (masculine part).
Our Jeanne performs a miracle and has a vision. He brings Weiss back from the death in Haven. By doing so he physically plays the part of the Knight in Shining Armor. Still, he succeeds by integrating his animus with his anima. As a matter of fact he lets go of fighting and killing (masculine) and takes up healing (feminine):
Later on, he needs spiritual guidance and finds it in his anima (Pyrrha). So, he has a symbolic "vision" of her in front of her statue:
Obviously, the woman is probably Pyrrha's mother, but it doesn't matter. The whole scene is framed up as aetherial and ambiguous because thematically Pyrrha's soul points Jaune toward the right path. So, Jaune is guided by his feminine side.
Weiss and Jaune's journey in Mistral leads them to face their fears and let go of their personas. By doing so, they succeed at integrating their animus and anima. The end result is that they grow up.
Weiss blooms into a Queen:
Weiss's royal dress is blue (melted ice) and has snowhite-like puff sleeves.
Jaune becomes a Knight:
Jaune's outfit keeps his red details and adds more gold to it.
Upon their arrival in Atlas, they are not Ice Queen and Vomit Boy anymore, but genuine articles.
QUEEN AND KNIGHT
Right now I’m just a bit surprised Cuz I feel just fine And I might just touch the sky
The sun is shining in the sky The birds are smiling so am i I’m kicking ass in every way Think this change is here to stay It’s feeling like a brand new day
In Atlas, our Queen and Knight live their best lives.
Weiss arrests her father and reconnects with her estranged family. She becomes the Queen of the Schnee family. Jaune instead supports everyone, meets the admiration of civilians and is in generally successful. He becomes a perfect Knight in Shining Armor.
Even when the situation gets dire they both maintain a mature attitude. They are not touched by the Divide and their major conflict lies rather with a family member (sibling):
Winter: You're not leaving me. I'm giving you a head start.
Ren: You cheated your way into Beacon!
Winter and Ren oppose Weiss and Jaune out of repression and frustration. And yet, Weiss and Jaune's reaction is of empathy and understandment:
Weiss: Don’t worry, they’re sisters. Sometimes sisters just have very different ideas about what’s right.
Jaune: We’re all under a lot of stress right now. I used to push people away too.
They never doubt their loved ones and when Winter and Ren come around there is no need for apologies. Weiss and Jaune simply welcome them back with warmth.
In short, our Queen and Knight are among the characters who have grown the most, so they often come up with solutions. For example, Jaune offers a way to overcome the Divide from a practical point of view:
Jaune: Okay. Okay… Then let’s go for both. Get Amity up and running and evacuate Mantle.
Weiss is instead the one to state the theme outloud before the climax:
Weiss: Trust is a risk
This development is precisely why they both get to shine in the final battle.
On the one hand Weiss holds it together while her team is in disarray after Yang's fall. Ruby is traumatized and caught up in a fight with Neo, while Blake temporally loses it. Weiss keeps on facing Cinder alone and does her best to protect Penny and the relic.
On the other hand Jaune keeps a level-head and manages to evacuate the civilians only to join the fray at the very end. He reads the situation correctly and kills Penny when there is no other choice.
Weiss and Jaune have grown into who they want to be in the beginning. This is why they are the last fighters standing. And yet, despite all their training and maturation, they still fail. They face an Evil Queen (Cinder) and are defeated when they are at their strongest. Weiss is a true Queen fighting for her home and Jaune is a true Knight fighting for the people. And yet, they are crushed and fall. Just like at Beacon.
Once again, Weiss fails to protect a Kingdom:
Once again, Jaune fails to protect a Maiden:
At the same time, they believe the other can somehow succeed, even if they don't:
Weiss: Maybe… Jaune and Winter were able to get them out, despite… everything… despite us…
Jaune: I don’t know where the others are, but… Weiss will give us time!
Weiss hopes Jaune and Winter (aka her ideal) save the relics. Jaune hopes Weiss can buy him and Penny time, like Pyrrha (aka his ideal).
In short, Weiss and Jaune grow into their ideal selves, but still lose. Not only that, but they keep on projecting their ideals on others. And yet, these others also fail. So, what to do? The only choice is to let go of unreachable perfect paragons.
FALLEN QUEEN AND RUSTED KNIGHT
Weiss: I am a citizen of a fallen Kingdom and an heir to nothing. I will not be defined by my name because I will be the one to define it. I am Weiss Schnee, and I am a Huntress!
NeoCat: You were never the brave knight either! Just more fairytale nonsense!
Weiss and Jaune's journey in the Ever After is about letting go of their Queen and Knight idealized self-images. In this way they can truly accept who they are. This is difficult at first because they are full of self-hate and regret:
Weiss: But it wasn't enough! We hatched a crazy plan that put a whole kingdom at risk, and we don't even know if we saved the Relics...
Jaune: I’m trying so hard to save them… I stopped them from becoming what they needed to be. I was being selfish because I… I wanted the rush of rescuing someone and I got that here.
Still, they both work through it in 2 ways.
They face their traumas again:
Weiss: I am so tired of leaving places in ashes…
Jaune: On that bridge… I was the only one that could do it! I was the ONLY ONE! And I… And now I have to live with that forever… In here or back home…
They change their dynamic with Ruby, who they put on a pedestal.
Specifically, Ruby becomes a paragon for both Weiss and Jaune during the Mistral arc. There, Weiss learns to be emotionally vulnerable with her partner. Jaune instead grows to admire Ruby's optimism and hopeful self.
So, after the fall of Atlas, both Weiss and Jaune go back to Ruby. Weiss lets out all her troubles, while Jaune dives after Crescent Rose and proudly gives it back.
However, Ruby is in no condition to play Weiss and Jaune's hero. This shows and it unnerves them, who grow progressively more irritated with Little Red:
Weiss: Hurry! People are counting on us!
Jaune: I know you may not care about protecting this village, but you could at least help your friends when they’re in danger.
Until Ruby herself snaps at the both of them. Interestingly, it is Weiss's demand that Ruby consoles Jaune, which sets her off. Moreover, throughout her monologue, Ruby calls Weiss out on her dependency on her:
Ruby: What about me? “No time”, right? “Gotta get home!” “Gotta help Jaune!” Gotta find someone who isn’t just going to screw everything up!
And she lashes out against Jaune's hero complex:
Ruby: I’m sorry, is this a bad time? Are we supposed to be mourning Jaune’s make-believe friends?!
She pintpoints both their flaws and then runs away. It is Ruby's outburst, though, which wakes up Weiss and Jaune.
Weiss finally realizes Ruby's pain and empathizes with her. Her words clearly have an impact on Jaune too:
Weiss: Ruby has always been the one to get us through the hard times. We say things like “We believe in you”, “We can count on you”. I know we mean well, but…
They both let go of their idealization of Ruby, which in turns helps them with their own struggles:
Weiss: I think you’re asking too much of yourself. We’ve been telling ourselves that failing means we’re no good. But I can guarantee even the best Huntsmen in history… they’ve all lost. But they were still incredibly brave… and good.
In front of a genial ruby, Weiss and Jaune manage to move forward through each other.
Jaune is spiritually guided and shown empathy by Weiss. Weiss instead starts healing psychologically by helping Jaune. In a sense, this is a parallel and an inversion of their shared moment in volume 5. There Jaune finds himself strong enough to cure Weiss. Here Weiss finds herself wise enough to teach Jaune. Both are in a self-hate spiral, but then realize they are better than they think by saving the other. At the same time, this moment also calls back Jaune's "vision" in Lost. There Jaune is shown the way by a Pyrrha stand-in. Here Weiss steps into the role of spiritual adviser.
After spending the whole volume looking for someone to guide her, Weiss discovers she can be the guide. After spending the whole volume wanting to be the hero, Jaune realizes he is the one that needed help the whole time.
They both learn the main theme of the volume:
Jaune: Maybe that Cat was right… Maybe I just needed to accept it. It’s not a place you go.
They reach acceptance of who they are. Both their good traits and their negative traits. They accept they did their best, but also that they lost. And once they do, they become able to better accept others, as well:
Jaune: I think I get it. This is how we got here, or… why the Tree brought us here. Acceptance.
Weiss: We've done everything we can. Now it's up to Ruby. Whatever happens next… we have to welcome that.
Not only do they let go of their idealized self-images, but of Ruby's too. This is why they are ready to welcome her, no matter what. Strengths and limits, alike.
Thanks to their inner development, they both get to make another step into self-actualization. This growth is shown symbolically in the finale . Weiss is finally able to summon a full Nevermore, which combines all her previous glyphs (so it is symbolic of the self). Jaune accepts Alyx's hand and goes back to his real self through her (he goes from iron to mercury). These are glimpses of who Weiss and Jaune are going to finally become.
SOPHIA AND HERMES
Curious Cat: Looking at you, wise huntress.
Alyx: Maybe it’s time for a change, to be the kind of man you always wanted to be.
So, who are Weiss and Jaune going to be at the end of their journey? It is still too soon to say, but I would not be surprised if they were to become Sophia and Hermes to each other.
Who are Hermes and Sophia? They are the embodyments of a perfected animus and a perfected anima. In short, by the end of their psychological development, a woman should integrate with Hermes and a man should integrate with Sophia. Personally I think (wish) Weiss is stepping in the role of Sophia for Jaune, while Jaune is stepping in the role of Hermes for Weiss. Volume 9 might have given symbolic hints of this.
Weiss is directly associated with wisdom, which is what Sophia means.
Jaune goes from iron to mercury through Alyx and Mercury is just another way to call Hermes. Moreover, one of the symbols of Hermes in alchemy is a stag and well... Juniper resembles one.
Now, this final integration can be romantic (my preference) or platonic/individualistic (if they chicken out). What is sure is that it's going to happen, one way or another. It is just the cherry on top on a animus/anima story.
Snowhite and the Animus
Snowhite is the story of a child growing up. The first step in self-actualization is to stop identifying with the Mother, so the mirror image changes. This transformation generates an inner conflict. On the one hand there is the side who wants to grow up (Snowhite), on the other hand there is the side who doesn't wanna change (the Evil Queen). It is only by conquering the Evil Queen (the shadow), that Snowhite can truly become herself.
And how does she do it? She succeeds through an integration with her animus (masculine side):
The King is absent and doesn't help Snowhite
The Hunter appears and helps Snowhite
The Dwarves give Snowhite a home
The Prince saves Snowhite
As you can see, Snowhite's story is full of male characters and each new one is more helpful than the one before. This is because all these characters are representations of Snowhite's interiority and of her strenghtening animus. It is initially possessed, but then it progressively blooms until it saves the protagonist.
Now, this is just Weiss's story in a nutshell:
Willow is absent and Weiss's animus is possessed (The Arma Gigas she fights in the White Trailer)
Winter helps her and inspires Weiss to pursue her career as a Huntress (After her visit Weiss summons a part of her Knight)
Team RWBY welcomes Weiss and become her adoptive home and family (Weiss becomes herself through them)
Only the Prince is missing and it will probably be Jaune (he already is in volume 5). Wait, aren't all these characters women? Yes, they are because Weiss's fairy tale is all genderbent except her. So, why should Weiss's Prince be Jaune? Because in his case, he is the genderbent one :P
Jaune can be Weiss's Prince (again platonically or romantically) only if he fully blooms into Jeanne first. He can't be a real Knight, if he doesn't become a Maiden.
The Four Stages of Anima
Jaune's journey through the anima is well conveyed through 4 stages, which stand for archetypical female figures. Each one represents a different level of maturity:
Eve is the mother - The boy has no romantic attachment and sees the woman as a source of protection and nourishment
Helen is the seductress - The boy feels romantic attraction and sees the woman as a talented individual, but pays no attention to her spiritual or inner life
Mary is the virgin - The boy fells mature love and sees the woman as a paragon of virtue, but pays no attention to her negative traits
Sophia is wisdom - The boy is ready for a relationship with a woman as an equal partner and sees the feminine as a source of wisdom with no need to objectify the woman anymore
This scale describes Jaune's relationship with the feminine perfectly:
Eve is Pyrrha - she nurtures and protects him as a mentor and Jaune feels initially no attraction to her
Weiss is Helen - she is Jaune's first crush and he grows enough to see her as a talented person, but can't understand her inner world
Mary is Pyrrha - she becomes Jaune's guide and the embodyment of heroism and virtue
Only Sophia is missing and I think she will be Weiss. In general, though, these phases describe Jaune's general approach to women and how it changes. He arrives at Beacon looking for a girlfriend because that is what a man should do, which in itself is a very childish behavior. Then he grows to see the girls around him as powerful individuals, but he can't go behind the surface. This is true for Weiss, but also for Pyrrha, whose struggles he ignores. After her death, Pyrrha becomes an ideal, but she isn't the only one. For example, Jaune believes Weiss and Ruby can save Pyrrha from Cinder and later on he keeps idealizing them. In volume 9, he learns to let go of his idealization and to see others as their own people. He is stepping into Sophia (wisdom).
MIRROR MIRROR
I looked in the mirror And I gotta say It’s been a long long time Since I felt this way
Weiss and Jaune go through perfect mirror journeys, which are about recognizing others to see their own selves and vice versa. This is why Weiss's mirror mirror motif works so well for them.
They don't know who they are (mirror tell me who am I?)
They realize they dislike their current selves (mirror tell me who is the loneliest of all? I am the loneliest of all)
They work to change (mirror I'll tell you something, I might change it all)
They overcome their narcisism rooted in self-loathing (I'm shattering the mirror that keps me split in pieces)
Now that they can see who they are better, the next step is to probably see others more clearly. This is the secondary theme of the volume, after all: empathy.
Ruby breaks Summer's pedestal and as a result she can see herself better. In turn, this makes her able to look at others in a new light:
Weiss and Jaune do the same. They break Ruby's pedestal and show empathy and forgiveness for themselves and her. Still, this is framed as just the beginning. The theme of empathy is probably gonna be explored in later volumes. This is true for both Ruby's arc and Weiss and Jaune's stories.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the next mirror mirror song is a conversation not with the mirror, but with another person? A person that is a mirror, but not because stuck inside it like Weiss in the beginning. A person, who is a mirror because every person can be a mirror of another if looked at with empathy. And this is what beating the mirror really means. Not to look at ourselves through it, but to look at ourselves through others. And to accept them. And to accept us.

Jujutsu Kaisen, Chapter 210 Thoughts Part Two.
Yuji goes out of his way to both antagonize Hana, and remind the audience of how much he mourns Nobara in this most recent chapter. Rather than being a ship tease moment (actually this post is neutral to any kind of ships) this moment establishes the foiling on a deeper level between Yuji and Nobara. The reason Yuji cannot stand the idea of Nobara being replaced to the point where he acts almost out of character from his usual behavior is because his bond with her is special (once again this is not about shipping) in a way I'll elaborate on under the cut. PART ONE OF THIS POST HERE.
Anima and Animus Part Two
My entire last post elaborated on how Megumi and Hana might serve as a pair of Anima / Animus archetypes in Jujutsu Kaisen, a story that is rife with Jungian symbolism. The post is RIGHT HERE and serves as the first half of this meta, but if you want a TLDR version. The anima and animus are a syzgzy (pair of complentary opposites) of dualistic jungian archetype that make of the self. The anima is the unconscious feminine side of a man. The animus is the unconscious masculine side of a woman.
Warning, this is talking about gender in binary terms. The gender binary is invented, but also most cultures have things they would consider to be feminine or masculine traits. Also, everyone is a mix of those feminine or masculine traits no matter what gender they are. Jung's theory is often a Male's sensitivity is lesser or repressed and therefore for healthy psychological development there has to be a reconciliation in both a person's attitude towards masculinity and femininity, and also how they interact with femininity in other people.
Jung divides ego between conscious mind and shadow, but he further divides the traits of a person's attitudes between feminine and masculine as another part of the ego and just as key as accepting your shadow / unconscious. Just as a quick example if you're familiar with the concept of "Toxic Masculinity" Jung would consider that a person who overexpresses his masculine side, and represses his anima to much to the point where they develop an unhealthy relationship with that masculinity, and an underdeveloped ego. If a healthy balance with one's anima/animus is needed for a person's growth and development, then someone who is toxically masculine would show a stunted growth. Similiarly many toxically masculine individuals are considered to be immature.
Now to explain some broader terminology before going ahead and connecting these ideas to Jujutsu Kaisen, Jung's theory is the division of "self" or "personality" into distinct parts, the conscious ego, the shadow, and then animus and anima.
"Clearly, then, the personality as a total phenomenon does not coincide with the ego, that is, with the conscious personality, but forms an entity that has to be distinguished from the ego. Naturally the need to do this is incumbent only on a psychology that reckons with the fact of the unconscious, but for such a psychology the distinction is of paramount importance." The Syzygy: Anima and Animus, C. G. Jung, Aion: Researches into the Phenomenology of the Self,
Ego is a part of personality but not the whole of it, and makes up the conscious mind. The part of their personality they are aware of. The parts we are unaware of, and are out of our control, the unconscious mind Jung refers to as the shadow.
The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of It involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. The Syzygy: Anima and Animus, C. G. Jung, Aion: Researches into the Phenomenology of the Self,
Yuji as the main character of the story more than anyone else, exhibits this divided self. His shadow is an entity entirely seperate from him with his own consciousness that he cannot control, Sukuna who is made up of baser instincts, a desire for power, and also mostly negative flaws. Things that would be repressed in the shining, boyscout, that is Yuji. Yuji is the only character we ever get a peak of their symbolic inner world, and in that world Yuji stands on water (a symbol of the subconscious, because the subconscious is something which lies underneath the surface of the water).
Yuji has an extremely unhealthy relationship with his shadow. They are literally at war with each other. Sukuna at moments can possess Yuji's body and make him do things he wold not normally do, be violent in a way he is not normally violent. Sukuna even refers to Yuji being unable to switch back during his possession happening because "he was too greedy."
Yuji of all characters is someone who tries to present himself as a savior with a higher moral imperative, and he carries around Sukuna in his whole someone who has no value for human life, and no regard for anyone except himself. Someone who seems at first brush to be the complete and total opposite of Yuji and yet is bonded to his soul.
Although, with insight and good will, the shadow can to some extent be assimilated into the conscious personality, experience shows that there are certain features which offer the most obstinate resistance to moral control and prove almost impossible to influence. These resistances are usually bound up with projections,, which are not recognized as such, and their recognition is a moral achievement beyond the ordinary. The Syzygy: Anima and Animus, C. G. Jung, Aion: Researches into the Phenomenology of the Self,
Yuji's negative traits are not assimilated into his personality at all, nor is he aware of them, his relationship with his shadow is so distant that he quite literally goes into the supernatural equivalent of what would be dissociative fugue states where he loses all control of his body in a period he is not aware of.
With a little self-criticism one can see through the shadow so far as its nature is personal. But when it appears as an archetype, one encounters the same difficulties as with anima and animus. In other words, it is quite within the bounds of possibility for a man to recognize the relative evil of his nature, but it is a rare and shattering experience for him to gaze into the face of absolute evil. The Syzygy: Anima and Animus, C. G. Jung, Aion: Researches into the Phenomenology of the Self,
Sukuna representing the absolute evil that Yuji cannot bear to look into the face of, or understand. Even though there are times where Yuji demonstrates the same kind of primal dominance that makes up Sukuna's entire personality. There are times where rather than the savior he is the predator.
If his relationship with Sukuna embodies the divide between conscious mind and Shadow, then Nobara serves as the symbol of his Anima. Anima appears in archetypes as well. Archetypes are often repeated characters and symbols in mythology, the hero, the mentor, the mother, etc. etc. Yuji's external relationship with Nobara, relates to his own internal relationship with his anima, the feminine side of his personality. Nobara is nothing if not feminity personified.
Why Nobara of all characters? It's because she is the woman with the most longstanding relationship with Yuji in the manga. In fact since I have too much free time, let's do summary of the many ways they parallel one another in their journey up until Shibuya. Yuji and Nobaraare also a pair of Anima / Animus in regards to one another. Women are also defined as having a "Animus" side that reflects their repressed masculinity.
The projection-making factor is the anima, or rather the unconscious as represented by the anima. Whenever she appears, in dreams, visions, and fantasies, she takes on personified form, thus demonstrating that the factor she embodies possesses all the outstanding characteristics of a feminine being. She is not an invention of the conscious, but a spontaneous product of the unconscios. The Syzygy: Anima and Animus, C. G. Jung, Aion: Researches into the Phenomenology of the Self,
Nobara's introduction is called girl of Steel. Nobara's feminity is put right on dispaly first and foremost, the first thing she does is interrogate a man about recruiting her as a model because obviously she's such a pretty woman. She has also no regard for the men she meets up with seeing them as crude doodles.
Just like Sukuna and Yuji are at war with each other, Nobara and Yuji start out completely combative to one another. This is par the course for the first encounter of Anima / Animus. This is also once again not really a romantic connection.
This singular fact is due to the following circumstance: when animus and anima meet, the animus draws his sword of power and the anima ejects her poison of illusion and seduction. In both its positive and its negative aspects the anima/animus relationship is always full of “animosity”, i.e., it is emotional, and hence collective. Affects lower the level of the relationship and bring it closer to the common instinctual basis, which no longer has anything individual about it. The Syzygy: Anima and Animus, C. G. Jung, Aion: Researches into the Phenomenology of the Self,
IE: Both start out in opposition to each other, but need to form a relationship and work together in order to slay the curse. Megumi is also left out of the mission, further solidifying Yuji and Nobara from introduction as a pair.
I would say rather Anima and Animus characters are not primed to understand each other especially with underdeveloped characters at the beginning of their arcs. That's essentially what Yuji remarks he can't read or understand Nobara at all, she's a mystery to him. Nobara also does not really want to accept Yuji's cooperation or coordinate with him at all.
Right away though, Gojo draws a parallel between the two of them. Gojo establishes that Yuji is crazy like many Jujutsu Sorcerers, and he's trying to test Nobara for that same craziness. (Needless to say Nobara passes).
I've already made reference to the fact that Yuji's whole sense of self is continually at war with himself, his unhealthy self-image first explodes in the fearsome womb arc. An arc where ironically Nobara and Yuji are separated from each other right away. (I mention this only because it's paralleled in the Origin of Obeidence arc, in this arc they work together and its a culmination of their long developed relationship).
Nobara even falls deep into a literal shadow. She is transported into a dark place where she cannot see. Rather than being aware of his anima, his anima is once again pushed to the deepest parts of Yuji's mind. This is also the first time he loses control of himself to Sukuna.
Nobara weeps over his first death and being left alone. Something that will be paralleled once again when it is Nobara's time to die and leave Yuji alone. I would argue they are both shown to be deeply affected by the loss, because they are essentially losing what is essentially the masculine / feminine halves of themselves. If they are a pair, then without one another they are symbolically incomplete.
I'm not underplaying Megumi's mourning, just that attention is drawn to Nobara's mourning, just like in this week's chapter Yuji moreso than Megumi fears that after Nobara's "death" she may lose that special place in his heart.
FLash forward to the Kyoto Battle arc, Nobara's reason for being angry at Mai is not only her insulting of Maki, but the way she dismisses Yuji as a curse, and tries to kill him with the rest of the Kyoto students without getting to know him. You could also say this is a point where Nobara overexpresses her feminine traits, and neglects her masculine ones. SHe basically yells at the top of her lungs she doesn't really care about the misogyny Mai faces under the Zenin Clan, she is compeltely unaware of her own harmful prejudices.
While not to the same extent as Yuji because she's not running around with a demon in her head, I'd argue that Nobara is also someone who is not in harmony with her feminine and masculine sides.
Nobara is, unconscious of her more amoral traits like her lack of guilt for killing Choso's brothers, she's someone who just like Yuji embraces the "might makes right" and "getting stronger solves everything" of the Jujutusu World. In fact since she's not out to save people you could say she embraces it more than Yuji. Violence is something typically considered a masculine trait. She also worships the stronger of the Zenin twins Maki, while despising Mai for her weakness.
Origin of Obedince which is basically the last big development arc of the relationships of the main character trio together, Nobara and Yuji's cooperation is shown to come full circle from their introduction and they are in near perfect harmony with one another. They even Black Flash together.
This may be an overreach but Yuji and Nobara are also fighting the Death Painting Sibs, their philosophy is "we three are one" but the fact that Yuji and Nobara triumps means at this moment their harmony with one another is stronger than that.
Nobara and Yuji go through an arc where they are essential to one another's growth, just as for Animus and Anima there are stages of development known as Eros and Logos.
Just as the anima becomes, through integration, the Eros of consciousness, so the animus becomes a Logos; and in the same way that the anima gives relationship and relatedness to a man's consciousness, the animus gives to woman's consciousness a capacity for reflection, deliberation, and self knowledge. The Syzygy: Anima and Animus, C. G. Jung, Aion: Researches into the Phenomenology of the Self,
Eros and Logos are four stages of development where the respective Anima and Animus are developed as people become more conscious of their opposite sides. A man at the first stage with an underdeveloped Anima, does not only make an object of love or desire out of women they see both women and feminine traits as completely unintegrated and seperate from themselves. At the fourth stage a man's anima is fully integrated into their personality and they are able to be seen as particular individuals as both positive and negative qualities. As for Logos, ironically enough their first level is an animus that first appears as a personification of mere physical power, for instance an athletic champion a muscle man. And in its fourth manifestation an animus is the incarnation of meaning. At this stage there's mediation between the conscious and unconscious mind.
For example, Yuji learns cooperation with Nobara at the peak of his development where he didn't understand her at all to begin with. For example, Nobara is an extremely brutal and conflict oriented character to begin with, at the end of their relationship arc so far she is working in harmony with Yuji.
Further parallels between the two of them. They both have plant names. Translated by @kaibutsushidousha right here. That's not as strong as a character because a lot of characters have names associated with plants. However, Yuji's plant is named for a medicinal herb.
Japanese Knotweed: There are a lot of ways to tie this to Itadori’s two sides as himself and Sukuna, but in Akutami’s interview on Mandou Kobayashi, they explained that they simply picked the name of a medicinal herb because Itadori was a protagonist who saves people, so I’m not sure if any deeper meaning was intended on this one specifically. Japanese knotweeds are really nice as medicinal herbs, but on the flip side, the Japanese knotweed is one of the most invasive species in the world, so I think the plant choice also doubles as a nod to Itadori’s (or rather Sukuna’s) status as a plague to curser society. Nobara was named for a wild Rose, because "I wanted to make it thorny" this is from the databook.
Flower symbolism wise Nobara's also means recovery from a grave wound, just as Yuji's means medicine.
WILD ROSE In flower language, the wild rose means “unpretentious love” and “recovery from a grave wound”.
Unpretentious love refers to how Kugisaki very openly loves her friends, and how her love for people completely disregards social decorum, as her backstory is about her relationship with a person deemed an outcast, whose negative social status never made Kugisaki stop caring for her. Recovery from a grave wound refers to how Kugisaki absolutely survived having her face blasted by Mahito in the Shibuya Incident. I believe it. She’ll come back with the coolest eyepatch.
This is a bit of a stretch but I just found it neat.
Nobara is referred to as a natural enemy to Mahito, just like Yuji was.
Yuji and Nobara have parallel deaths in the cursed womb arc, and then Shibuya arc where the two of them are separated from each other. Yuji's resolve is even similiarly brought to tears.
They are both influenced by their same sex grandparents, Nobara's grandmother taught her in sorcery, Yuji's grandfather taught him some martial arts and was his only guardian. Yuji is the one who continually brings up Nobara's death, even to this chapter, and the same way Nobara gets angry at Mai for mocking Yuji's memory, Yuji unreasonably gets mad at Hana because he's afraid she might replace Nobara who is singularly important to him.
Which as I said once again for both of them goes a step above friendship (not necessarily romance) because they are essentially symbolic of each other's male/female sides. At this point, Yuji's personality becomes even more out of balance than it was before. He embraces his hypermasculine hunter side in his fight with Mahito. Nobara's death also comes just after Yuji's loss of control to Sukuna. Once again, his repressed side taking him completely over and making him go into the magical version of a fugue state.
From this point on, Yuji also begins to extremely loathe his own weakness. Weakness can be seen as a feminine trait for someone who has an unhealthy relationship with masculinity and overexpresses it. All people are equal parts strong and weak, and have many strenghs and weaknesses but Yuji believes now he must be continually punished for his weakness. Which again makes Yuji's personality even more disordered.
Which makes Yuji's personality as a whole even more disordered. Jung emphasizes that integration of all parts of the personality, requires healthy relationships with members of the opposite sex (which is you know true, men who loathe femininity aren't going to form healthy relationships with women).
Recapitulating, I should like to emphasize that the integration of the shadow, or the realization of the personal unconscious, marks the first stage in the analytic process, and that without it a recognition of anima and animus is impossible. The shadow can be realized only through a relation to a partner, and anima and animus only through a relation to the opposite sex, because only in such a relation do their projections become operative. The Syzygy: Anima and Animus, C. G. Jung, Aion: Researches into the Phenomenology of the Self,
Yuji, deprived of his anima is therefore all out of whack.
Yuji's unhealthy relationship with his Anima can even be traced back to his complete lack of a mother figure. Typically developmental-wise, our first interaction with a feminine force in our life is our mothers. In Jungian logic, the definition of femininity is sourced with their mothers in boys, and their fathers in girls.
The enveloping, embracing, and devouring element points unmistakably to the mother, 2 that is, to the son's relation to the real mother, to her imago, and to the woman who is to become a mother for him. His Eros is passive like a child's; he hopes to be caught, sucked in, enveloped, and devoured. He seeks, as it were, the protecting, nourishing, charmed circle of the mother, the condition of the infant released from every care, in which the outside world bends over him and even forces happiness upon him. No wonder the real world vanishes from sight! The Syzygy: Anima and Animus, C. G. Jung, Aion: Researches into the Phenomenology of the Self,
Yuji is at war with his mother figure the same way he is at war with his shadow, considering that his biological mom is quite literally the main antagonist of the story Kenjaku, who possessed his mother's body in order to give birth to him.
Jung even notes that a person with an underdeveloped anima will become possessed by it, and therefore lose their agency over themselves and lose sight and control. Which mirrors in a way the fact Kenjaku considers Yuji nothing more than a pawn in his scheme, and endeavors to control his life.
If this situation is dramatized, as the unconscious usually dramatizes it, then there appears before you on the psychological stage a man living regressively, seeking his childhood and his mother, fleeing from a cold cruel world which denies him understanding. Often a mother appears beside him who apparently shows not the slightest concern that her little son should become a man, but who, with tireless and self-immolating effort, neglectsnothing that might hinder him from growing up and marrying. You behold the secret conspiracy between mother and son, and how each helps the other to betray life. The Syzygy: Anima and Animus, C. G. Jung, Aion: Researches into the Phenomenology of the Self,
Yuji posseses a mother figure which is completely hostile to him, and an anima which is currently either missing or dead to the story, so under such conditions no wonder Yuji's deviating from his normal personality and acting with no self awareness whatsoever to the point of becoming hostile to Hana. He is most likely insecure about his own feelings for Nobara whatever they may be if he thinks he a girl he's known for about five minutes could replace her so easily, which relates to all of Yuji's 9,000 other insecurities.
Basically, the end of this long diatribe is Nobara is someone who could help Yuji grow and find balance within himself were she to return to the story, and in her absence Yuji is psychologically speaking...a big mess.

If my OC was canon how would the fandom treat them? - For Abrogail Strong
You saw how fandom treated sansa stark, right? This is literally gonna be Recycled Sansa Discourse.
Okay kudos to @selfproclaimedunicorn, @acrossthesestars, and @songsonacliffside for their input on this!
Abby would absolutely be a divisive character in a fandom that's fighting over modern feminism, how to be a woman, morals, and other things that just get way too personal and out of hand. I can imagine the thought pieces we used to see on like 'Why is Abrogail Strong an outtdated female protagonist' or 'Why Abrogail Strong is Important' declarative things - because nothing gets people going harder than 'is this a feminist model'.
So while I absolutely, 100% understand why Abby isn't for everyone, there would be some seriously frustrating and gross takes about her. We know how George likes to recycle his archetypes, and so number one, those who hated Sansa, especially early seasons!Sansa, would pull that out.
Abby would be seen as covering for Aegon, being blind to his faults and a terrible enabler who doesn't care for any of the women in Aegon's crossfire. They'd take any sense of comfort that Abby gives Aegon to make it sound like she's victim blaming. That's not even mentioning calling her Alicent 2.0, and how Aegon's only into her because of his mommy issues and if he can't please his mother, he can please her and uwu someone rescue poor Aegon.
There's a set of Targ Stans that get into how Aegon should have married Helaena instead, and how her and Aegon don't actually love each other, Aegon just likes her pretty.
A real anon I got was in regards to Abby not being a Real Strong, and being a traitor and a whore for just wanting to fuck a rapist (Aegon). They would call her manipulative and grasping, and outsider who used her proximity to the prince to use her magical feminine hypnosis powers to get him to marry her so she could become queen, because she had no chance of doing that if she went with Rhaenyra because she can't marry Jace (but then you'll see the AUs where Rhaenyra leans in hard and marries Jace and Abby for the cover story). On top of that, she totally knew Larys was murdering their father and Harwin, so she gets the 'murders family for a cornchip for a chance to become queen'. NOT to mention, she must never have loved Harwin or honored his memory if she's not leaving to Dragonstone with Rhaenyra to serve her.
Other discourse would also involve her not plotting Larys' murder for killing their family and why isn't she so incapacited with grief. Harwin deserves a better sister! Lyonel Strong would be rolling in his grave at his daughter destablizing the realm!
Book readers would point out that Abby was absolutely a broken mess and grief stricken and much like Daemon's grieving scenes with his daughters, was cut from the show.
Then we have the classics: She's too perfect and too sweet. She's too immature or too mature. She's naive, she's silly. Disney princesses don't belong in Westeros. She's a punching bag and therefore Attention Whore or she is protected by the writers because she's fucking someone in charge. She's not playing the game and that's Unrealistic vs She's totally playing the game and absolutely planned to marry Aegon and become queen when she was 5 years old. Her denial of even seeking the throne is seen as fake and 'didn't you see how her eyes shifted away?'
And then there's a particularly cruel subset who I would imagine would want Abby to um, suffer in very particular ways so she can get what's coming to her, for being naive of the game, or being too part of the game.
And then if you're on the right side of loving Abby, well, you're in the trenches. For every post of taking down Abby and explaining why she's terrible and clearly the co-mastermind behind the dance, you'll have posts breaking down why she's important to have. That women are allowed to be soft and don't have to carry a sword or yell at people and 'Not Be Like Other Girls'. Most of the time you're defending her from antis, and other times you're breaking down the subtle way her grief and trauma have shaped the person she is.
I see general audiences really appreciating who Abby is in terms of being a sunbeam in a bleak story. I'm a fan of p'reviewed on youtube, and Jay said at the end of an episode once how watching HotD doesn't leave him feeling 'good' after an episode. and so I can see Abby absolutely being someone audiences appreciate for some hope and relief. People who like Abby are absolutely 'protect this girl at all costs' and definitely a 'Aegon doesn't deserve her why does she put up with this guy, have her hook up with someone else!' but then you get the soft moments between Aegon and Abby and everyone is like 'OH MY GOD WHY ARE THEY SO CUTE LET THEM BE HAPPY' and something something 'their love was made for a softer time'
Like my lovely commenters on Maiden, I totally see the Abby x Aegon shippers to be a wonderfully feral bunch who like to make a lot of comparison posts. They'd dig into old stories of the influences of the ship, as well as tirelessly defending it.
Other than that, I think there's a lot of arguments over book fans over the show adaptation of her as most of the stuff we get upset about. I imagine there's Aemond x Abby ships out there, and there's a lot of projection onto her as a character so people fight over canon vs fanon interpretations. She's definitely a type I think a lot of people struggle to find a voice for. I can see a lot of fix-it fics attempting to make Abby very badass.
Personally, I would give her Vermithor LMAO
#oc: abrogail strong#aegon x abby#this was a fun lil exercise#I'm curious what some of ya'll would think about my baby girl

(taps mic) hiii is this thing on
i didnt feel like making a 500 tweet thread so here is my rambling.
you know like the thing about “genderbends” is to change things like i get it you know. like all criticism of how bioessential people get about them like its just about seeing your blorbo but like. sexy in a different way a lot of times.
and i dont really care for all that usually but i have strong opinions on shu itsuki so maybe i do care.
bc i absolutely get why you would design her incredibly rich young lady right. ohohoho and all. with the drills. but im also compelled by like. what shu idealises about dolls is androgyny right. and you can argue this is because his reference point for wearing dresses and expressing himself in a feminine way was childhood and he “got away” with it due to the nature of children. you know. being pre puberty. and that this fixation stems from like, not allowing himself to think as himself as feminine bc of his body. since he is like tall and has a deep voice and its like you know. he is like well if i looked neutral enough i could get away with it. etc.
but tbh i do wonder bc like. would going through the opposite leave no mark. would he still desire the youthfulness and innocence and androgyny of dolls.
i think it does remind me of how like. girlhood or whatever feels like such a distinct gender from being a woman right. and people think it ties into peoples immaturity and they dont want to grow up and how women aging is demonised and im sure all that plays a huge role but like. as a girl you get away with much more usually. like. as an archetype. like heidi (heidi) or lyra hisdarkmaterials or alice in wonderland or that girl in secret garden whose name i forgor. they have these spunky adventures right and theyre not supposed to be proper ladies yet.
and i feel like shu kind of falls into this similar category of like. well off kid that is allowed some freedom of expression during youth right. and its like. then the expectations shift. and obviously shu specifically has never like. really been accepted for the way he does things. like its kind of central for the character that he received massive pushback on the dolls and the frills and everything. but like he definitely holds this idealised vision of childhood freedom. right.
anyway i am rambling here is my tl;dr sadstuck. shu itsuki takes estrogen in paris and then shu itsuki big naturals becomes real and she would learn about a different type of doll dysphoria and it would be very sad and i would support her top surgery.

4 Hounds deep dive part 2 : Marni, the girl who lost her chance
On a more joyous note, we continue to break down the Hounds this time with Marni
Her post ended up being so long Tumblr can't take it so I am gonna proceeds differently for her. I'll add what to say and then reblog to add others points; Ahem, Ahem
Marni is the ONE and ONLY Hound that had SOME redeeming quality or rather was shown to have some even if she didn’t join our party, because of many circumstances making her different then Zephia and Griss being that compared to the 2 who were victims who became abusers, she was a victim that WAS going to turn into an abuser but before that we’re gonna have to see her backstory and everything to understand why she is quite different then her her fellow Hounds...
So of course SPOILERS AHEAD
Marni seems to be inspired by whatever archetype Peri ended up becoming. When she was little, her mother had a lot of male children so she had to help her but her mother never expressed any gratitude towards her and eventually, she ended up getting rid of Marni at a church.
I’ll go back to comment on all of this later, now let’s go
1- Marni’s way of speech
Japanese has several way for one individual to refer to themselves or others, several words for one prounons. In the JPN dub, Marni and Madeline uses different prounons to refer to themselves. Madeline uses watashi. Marni, however used boku/ 僕/ ぼく. * If you watched any anime, you must know by now that boku means the same thing as watashi but is usually used by males especially young boys or otherwise boyish person.
For instance, Merrin uses boku too, to match her tomboyish design and in general, female knights in anime tends to use it too. However, Marni doesn’t look tomboyish nor boyish at all.
Her armor is pink, a color considered to be feminine, she had heart and ribbon pattern all over her armor, a skirt made of frill and lace, sleeves made of the same fabric, a hairband like maids with frills and ribbons etc. She also uses kimi, a informal form to refer to others as you compared to anata while irl japanese people hardly uses prounons. In short, Marni speaks informally, in a rather immature manner and is using prounons mostly used by male or tomboys, even though it clashes with her design, not only the “sweet little girl with blone hair and blue eyes like a little angel” thing but also her very girlish armor. I think Marni’s way of speaking is due to her environement as she was surrounded by boys.
Now I know that FE isn’t quite exactly a serie or franchise or whatever media to hold actual historical accurency, but in medieval era, when poor people had a lot of children, feeding them and taking care of them was hard, that’s why many scholars believe that fairytales and folklore tales are so full of children abandonement stories like Hansel and Gretel, Le Petit Poucet etc, etc. Hence why Marni’s sentence isn’t that surprising once you have that in mind
In fact, Griss too got that (and Gregory in another world) but even if then, having a girl was always considered bad luck for those people because the boys could work to help their family, whereas the girl would just be a burden. That’s why young girl always had to work and help their parents with chores and when they were reaching puberty, their parents were looking for a husband to get rid of her which isn’t that different from abandonning her. Marni seems to believe her mother got rid of her rather then any of her brother because she is a girl thinking “there were so many of them, and i was the only girl so if it didn’t matter she would have had choosen another one but me”, and because of all of this, she ended up adopting a kind of speech that you would expect from a male speaker, not only that but also the impression that her mother did not liked her because she was a girl
From Marni’s perspective, her mother prefering her brother makes no sense since they don’t help her at all, unlike Marni does so why would she prefer children that doesn’t help her and are an actual burden to one that is helping her taking care of the house and doing the chores so you could say that she tried speaking less like a girl in order to be more like by her mom, whatsmore her mom took Marni’s help for granted and never shown any signs of gratitude which seems also weird for Marni seeing how her brother did not helped, shouldn’t her mother be grateful and ... you guess what i am about to say don’t you ? yes. Be more grateful and notice her ? that she is here, loving her, and helping her ?
Marni’s speech is a first way of digging into her character as a child that was abandonned and still suffer from this abandonement. The reality being that her mother abandonned her long before she leaved her in front of this chruch as she would have eyes only for her sons and never payed attention to the struggles of her daughter to help her.

Hi ♥️ I nearly read all of your posts and I love your opinions about signs. I also saw people ask questions to you so could I ask one too ? What do you think about Aries Sun/Scorpio Moon man and Cancer Sun/ Virgo Moon woman <33
Helllllooo, you absolutely can! It’s been a minute since I’ve done any on here, but I do chart interpretations all the time IRL. As it’s been a little while I want to reiterate my usual disclaimer:
Any zodiac signs can be in a relationship together as long as they feed the good part of the relationship and look out for the more negative things that can come up.
When it comes to chart interpretation Im reading energies and patterns not necessarily people. How you express your chart may be different from how other people express their charts, this is just a guideline for things to look out for based on the energies as I know them.
And finally good chart synergy does not guarantee a good relationship. Some people are more interested in easygoing relationships and some people are more interested in challenge and complexity. As stated before the responsibility for the relationship between these two people will be down to these two people and the decisions that they make. That said I hope that this chart interpretation can help bring up some of the benefits of the relationship and help you avoid some of the pitfalls.
Anyway without further ado
The Sun Signs
Sun signs represent base life force frequencies. It’s position very loosely defines you as a person, as experienced by other people. Sort of like your archetypal social role in the tribe.
The Aries
Aries men as the most archetypal “man’ tend to go through the Triple gods 3 faces linearly. This tends to show up in 3 distinct life phases from the warrior to the King to the Wiseman. But in the background is their earth sign libra urging them to be the lover as well. The Aries Man will have to look out for their sort of Cupid mentality. Where they tend to shoot other people with the romance arrows but they don’t necessarily wait to see if they hit their mark for fear of missing.
My advice to all Aries men is to make sure that you’re checking in with your partner and meeting their individual needs. And not just playing out a performance of romance in your head and hoping the other person will play along. Now if the Aries man has already worked through the more immature Aries impulse to throw things out into the world and then not wait to listen for the feedback they’re already in a fairly good position for this relationship.
That said a big benefit and plus in dating an Aries man is the love and respect that they have of femininity in general , and Cancer Women are deeply steeped in Archetypal Womanhood. This is a mother, a lover and a Nanny all wrapped up in one. And no one can be more appreciative of this fact than the Aries. And unlike the Pisces women who can be a bit more ethereal in their triple goddess status the cancer woman is far more flesh and blood and is almost archetypically predisposed to be appreciative of the more flesh and blood Aries man.
The Cancer
The Cancer Woman in her more immature state is also a bit of a triple goddess in her own right. Oscillating wildly and emotionally between flirtatious maiden, nurturing mother, and meddling Nona. All with the sort of solid practical energy of her Capricorn earth sign humming along in the background doing cleanup. In her younger and or immature state she is often somewhat addicted to the tidal shifts of her own emotions and in her desire to indulge this pattern she often seeks partners that provide ballast for her emotional states. She too is a cardinal sign , much like the Aries man was called out for being before , as such she can be a little one-sided, though her performances tend to be a little bit more woe is me and emotional.
However the benefits of cancer Women as mentioned before is that they are very emotionally available and loving, if a little messy. My advice to all Cancer Women is to search for the security and stability within and not outside of oneself; that said mentorship from strong women in their lives can do a great deal to help the cancer woman on her journey.
Together
The benefit of signs that are square each other are the similarities. There can be a sort of instantaneous camaraderie ; you understand the kind of decisions they make and the sorts of actions they take because they lineup very well with the kind of actions you yourself would take. This brings a certain familiarity and comfortability to the partnership which can be very soothing for both parties. In a sort of I see you and respect your work sort of way,.
Conversely the Problem with signs that square are the similarities. In the case of two cardinal signs it’s gonna be a bit of a ships passing in the night energy where both of you are talking to yourselves in your own little world and not necessarily talking to each other, so look out for that. And remember , which ever side you are in this partnership , that both of you can have a dreadful case of the me me me’s so hold the same space for your partner that you know you will probably need held for you.
The Solar Harmonics (1+4=5 Leo)
The solar harmonics for this relationship is at the Leo frequency. Meaning together you two can be quite a glamorous and charismatic pair. More charismatic together than you may be apart, and while this may be immediately comfortable for the Aries Sun at the beginning it might be a little discomforting for the cancer woman who tends to prefer more behind the scenes vibes.
Over time the Cancer sun woman will instinctively seek to integrate its Earth sign of Capricorn (more on that below) and move towards the theme of the next sign in its progression Leo. Standing out in the Sun, in the light of day. Confidently pursuing desires etc. Luckily this relationship harmonizes at that Leo Frequency both in the combination of your sun signs (1+4=5) but also in your moon signs (8+6=14=5). The plus side of this being this relationship leaves ample space , room and support for the cancer to open up and explore this facet of herself. And if that wasn’t enough the respite or rest area of your relationship (combined sun+combined earth) is 4. Meaning her natural state and frequency tends to be an inherent safe zone for this relationship.
The Possible downside besides that which was mentioned in the previous section is that this space , depending on the maturity of this Cancer girl, can possibly feel like pressure to grow. If she’s in a space where she wants to explore more emotionally tumultuous or unhealthy patterns this space can feel almost too safe, Too high vibing. This partnership can feel sort of end game for the cancer all other things being equal and that could possibly be scary.
On the other side there is a bit less inherent support in the harmonics for the growth of the Aries. While this is a great opportunity for the Aries man to learn how to take a backseat in the relationship, a lesson that all Aries men integrating their libra earth sign need learn. It can be a bit of a bumpy what-about-me vibe at the start. However if there’s enough lovey romance which we will get into later in the Libra earth section this shouldn’t be too much of an issue. Another possible issue on the horizon is as the cancer woman starts to integrate her Capricorn earth sign this can irritate the Aries sign depending on their own internalized notions of masculinity. As Capricorn is the higher octave of Aries there can be a bit of a shift in who the breadwinner is and this can shift the dynamic of power in the household as she integrates more and more of her Capricorn qualities. That said if the Aries man can stay in heart eyes mode and accept that they will both shine more together this will be no problem at all.
The Earth Signs
Earth signs are always opposite your Sun Sign and tend to represent a sort of archetypal journey towards maturity. Earth Signs always require life lessons and they always bring meaningful rewards.
The Libra
The Aries man’s earth sign is in Libra. This is where that deep urge towards the romantic comes from. There is an instinctive draw towards the archetype of the lover, and within that an inherent fear of romantic rejection. Romance is something that Aries signs whether they admit it to themselves or not take seriously. And relationships are often points of growth for them.
The lesson for them is in submitting to a real flesh and blood relationship, and not a projected or imagined one where each of you "plays your Hallmark role and lives happily ever after". People are people and they often don’t do things according to script. It is often a journey for the Aries sign to learn that other peoples emotions, feelings and expressions deserve just as much space as their own. That said they tend to be very good lovers instinctively, if they get out of their own way, and very very good at romance. Integrating the ability to hold space for their partners just levels them up tenfold. And brings them the sort of partnership that deep down they really desire.
The Capricorn
Most Cancer Suns are secretly extremely business savvy and capable. If any of them tell you that they are not just look at their lives. Very often their emotionality causes quite a few issues but somehow there’s a very practical side of them that seems to clean up any of the problems that they’re emotionality caused. They also tend to instinctively always be networking and making connections. They also have a talent for getting into positions due to their vast network of relationships and the more entrepreneurial of them tend to garner a large base of supporters very very quickly. The big hurdle for them tends to be responsibility. Taking responsibility for themselves and their actions even when they are feeling emotional. It is often a journey of maturity for the cancer sign to hold them selves accountable instead of making excuses for The damage they do in their heightened emotional states. They must learn that though they are a whirlwind they are here to build as the eye of the storm , and not tear everything down in a fit.
Together
Earth: 17 Sco
Together this relationship harmonizes at the Scorpio frequency. As stated before this pairing might see a bit of a role reversal as both parties and mature with the Aries man going from clear front man to more supporting role and the Cancer woman going from support woman to a more front-facing role. As long as both of them are mature enough to behave outside of the cultural dictates of masculinity and femininity and allow themselves to grow into their best selves this shouldn’t be a problem. As this is a Scorpio frequency both of them should look out for dominance and sadomasochism in relationship as there can be a dominance and submission aspect to Scorpio frequencies in relationships. As this is the Earth sign frequency it will probably be seen a little bit deeper into the relationship or rather later in the relationship but nonetheless it is a dynamic that will most likely need to be discussed and given space if this relationship is to continue well into maturity. Furthermore Cancer women tend to lean more archetypically submissive where Aries men tend to lean more dominant but perhaps role reversal would be interesting I won’t presume to know this couples personal preference. But food for thought.
Luckily the Aries man has a Scorpio moon which means that this relationship in its maturity allows the Aries man will feel more at home in the emotional bedrock of the relationship. Possibly finding himself as a driving force or shaman for the maturation process itself.
The Moon Signs
The Moon sign in the chart is the emotional bedrock of the individual. The unconscious observer that emotionally contextualizes the individuals progression towards their emotional desires as well as their emotional stability.
The Scorpio Moon
This vibe tends to be deep and Subterranean like a glowing cave with cool waters. Like a starry sky and the cool night air. There is a desire to deepen and draw inward emotionally. There is a tendency to hold the cards close to the chest with all things being equal in the chart. But with this comes an air of mystery a sort of magnetic pull into their subterranean emotional environment.
The Virgo Moon
This emotional bedrock is far more terra firma, almost too much so. Oddly enough Virgo doesn’t tend to come up in conversations of astrological duality quite so much as Gemini and Pisces do , however like all mutable signs they do represent a duality. Virgo the virgin is represented by the Virgin and the Nature goddess as represented by the sheaths of wheat. As such attention is drawn to both process and precision. Those who lean more process with this placement tend to enjoy the role of the dilettante, the amateur , the ones figuring it out who is imperfect if a bit immature at times. Those who lean more precision tend toward the more classical vocal depiction , precise persnickety perfectionistic etc. The key to this sign tends to be in maintaining a balance or synergy of these two energies instead of vacillating wildly between the extremes.
Together
Moon: 14 Leo
In this lunar position the Leo energy tends to require that everyone in the relationship be true to their nature and faithful to their dreams. Especially the big ones, especially the important ones. This could be a bit daunting for both of the signs individually. Luckily any discomfort is shared rather equally. A draw to new agey shamanistic practices could also be helpful with integrating this energy in a way that doesn’t shock your moon signs. Think active visualization and future self Embodiement practices.

Did that ever come up in Ranma?
[/QUOTE]
Most merely talking about dating and see a "rival" and attack them.
So yes and no
Much as transsexuality not really come up but know tanma id as boy as asserts such and only surrenders to female part as a form of maturity (not being tsun and needlessly reckless)
Ranma isn't accurate to life in late 80s Japan, family dynamics, high school, martial arts, etc nor intended to be. So any other issue fail at harder if exoect to stop and be serious or the core point with everything else a wrapper or foil for delivery you will be very disappointed. It's not smuggling lgbt+ past your parents into your screen like Steven universe ir owl house. It's bosom buddies or nuns on the run.
But can understand for some the point being sheer entertainment from the absurdity of wild boy martial artist (archetype even when goku was new) gets forced into marriage and girlhood, isn't funny but offensive as it pokes at their ongoing traumas of own gender dysphoria and denial and family abuse as a result.
But to others its genre with light social norm mockery as might been more intended.
So Ranma 1/2 hurts when its not gateway to gender theory or trans visibility or whatev like say other 2010s flapjack descendant cartoons have been.
Moreso if it is the most popular representative of a gender non-conforming person in their fan circle.
Only ranma more closer to someone gender conforming who during puberty finds they are intersex as to someone rejecting gender norms. And even then Ranma 1/2 not intended to represent things but make fun of or play with conventions and objects or assumptions know or heard of or take for granted
Which might be literally why poorly aged to some
Refer to Akane
even by anime standards is a weak tomboy or tsundere by contemporary comparison (fuck girly girls wear more pants nowadays)
And gender assumptions major focus and some barely subversive. Again. Akane the long haired "mouthy tomboy no man will want" who...jogs, curvy, young, has long hair, doesn't wear pants outside of traditionaloutfit for such, athletic and kicks ass? Truly what man ever want this sexless overly masculine girl???
*looks at Sakura from Naruto just a few years later with petite frame, flatter face and five head and much louder and sharper personality. Or just the shy, short haired, pants and heavy jacket/hoodie wearing Hinata who is INTENDED to be extra girly and resembles Akane much more.*
Meanwhile nabiki who who gropes girls, insults men, emotionally disengaged or cruel, and scams for money, is above any romance or softness and uses conventions like tools with no sentiment mocks her sister's femininity?? I mean over the years my assumptions must have changed. Because I would by surface impression assume Akane just an average girl who feels unmatched and nabiki the man hating asshole who is possibly queer and seeking or building to some independent accomplishment as unable rely on society or family for her own ends so emotionally disengaged and money obsessed. And while shorts she wears pants not skirts or dresses and associated with modernity and mercenary sexuality with no sincerity (selling pictures of others under false pretense) or openness.
That is much much more feared/hated by even immature womanhaters (raises hand) of women than an athletic martial artist girl from martial artist family tradition who thinks boys her age are beneath her.
So yeah Ranma really only works as entertainment but if 'active ' doesn't share your assumptions or values

Hello! What is my feminine archetype? Thank you so much!
Hello, thank you fore reaching out :)
Okay, we'll see what archetype can describe your feminine self. Just know that archetypes can be a hundred different things and I'm not going to base myself out of a definite list because I just don't vibe with that, so we'll see what comes up. But basically I'm going to see how the cards describe you as a woman and dive into that.
Note: free readings are currently closed.
I definitely see you embodying a very youthful energy, I would even call you a wild child type of archetype with the combination of the other cards.
A wild child doesn't have to be young, it's more of a matter of the heart. Your core energy is eccentric, joyful and far-reaching. The cards describe you as someone adventurous and carefree. You may enjoy backpacking for months on end in faraway places, just so that you can have interesting stories to tell on your way back. You have this air that even though you haven't everything figured out, you're willing to have faith in your good star overlooking you in the sky, the trust that your steps are guided and protected, that luck is on your side.
You can be a bit chaotic and immature at times, but that's because of your unbridled energy and thirst for life. What you don't realize is that this energy is contagious and even healing for others, because you remind them of the beautiful frenzy that is life, forever changing and evolving, and you remind them that we can't do much for our aging bodies, but we can take care of our minds and keep them young and fresh. Bitterness is the poison of youth.
As a woman, that means people are going to try to shut that right off, telling you it's shameful or dangerous. But it's right on track since this archetype is also about defying social norms and pushing against what others deem unacceptable.
But there are many examples of this archetype in women. I would say people/characters like Amélie Poulain, Luna Lovegood, Clémentine (in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), Penny Lane, Janis Joplin, Björk, Florence Welch or Aurora come to mind.

So I’ve been looking up media analysis of “pick me” girls and what they are and how they operate because I know I used to be one and I’m not a pick me anymore but I need to get these thoughts out somewhere and I need somebody to see what I’m thinking and just help me out a little bit
Fair warning: this post is gonna be all over the place, so I apologize if anything feels out of order
Recently I was talking to a coworker of mine. Now I don’t have any close friends mainly because I don’t know how to make friends. For most of my life I was (unwillingly) isolated from people my own age. My parents were very conservative and republican (but not religious) and my mother homeschooled me and my siblings for most of our childhoods and that has caused a lot of my mental health issues and self esteem issues especially when it comes to making friends and grappling with hanging out or working with people my own age. And I made a comment to him (because I mainly laugh and joke with him and another boy at work) “you and so and so make me look like a pick me girl because you’re the only people I laugh with” and he said “you are”. I disagreed but it didn’t sit right with me.
I have 5 older siblings. My 2 oldest are my two older sisters who moved out when I was around ten and because of the age gap we were never really close. So in my earlier years I grew up with three older brothers, a stepfather and a mother who was not at all a good example of femininity because she was a “pick me” herself. It was a conservative and misogynistic household (we also moved around the country a lot, hence another reason I was so isolated). I also have two younger siblings both of which are around a decade younger than me, so there’s an age gap there as well.
The thing is, I’m used to boys. Specifically immature boys with a gross sense of humor because they remind me of my brothers (but without the childhood trauma and pain my brothers inflicted on me with their ignorance and misogyny). I never knew how to truly be close to girls. I have had girl friends and I have been able to have close female friendships for a time. But I haven’t had an actual female friendship in years because I was homeschooled in my last years in high school and I suck at keeping in touch with people, so I don’t talk to anyone from high school except for one girl who was my best friend at the time, however we are not as close as we used to be. I’ve never felt feminine enough for girls because I didn’t get my nails done, I wasn’t that good with makeup (my face doesn’t allow it but I still love makeup), I’m not conventionally attractive and I wasn’t into anything overly girly (all of which definitely contributed to my years of being an actual pick me). But I wasn’t masculine enough for the typical archetype and for boys either. I’ve always thought sports were boring as fuck, I didn’t care for most action movies, although I’ve always loved marvel and dc and anything “nerdy”. I didn’t care for video games other than Minecraft. I also didn’t realize I was bisexual until I was 15 years old. Growing up in a conservative household where gay people were seen as “less than”, It wasn’t at all an option- especially to little emotionally neglected me who just wanted to feel included in her own family.
These are the issues I’ve felt with in regards to my gender. Not feminine (or masculine) enough for girls, and not masculine (or feminine) enough for boys. It doesn’t help that being raised to think of girls as competition and then knowing that you’re ugly so it’s a losing competition anyway, doesn’t help. Funny thing is I never wanted all boys attention. At the time I had only wanted one boys attention. But that doesn’t matter now.
So at my current job (unlike my last job), I actually get to work with more women and girls closer to my age because there’s more girls than boys that work there.
My problem is that I have no idea how to be friends with anyone. I don’t hang out with anyone outside of work (I have no idea how to initiate hanging out or to even hang out without a purpose anymore) and no one has invited me to hang out with them. There are probably several reasons as to why that is regarding other people’s personal lives and it’s hard to remember that it’s not always about me. I’ve been alone so long and I live in my own little world so I try my best not to take things personally, but my desperation for friendship still likes to show itself and I don’t notice it until I embarrass myself in some way shape or form. Like the other day, when I heard people laughing at work and when I tried to involve myself this girl practically yelled at me and said something along the lines of “girl this doesn’t involve you go away”. Which, fair enough. I wasn’t invited. But it was still humiliating when I laughed it off with the two boys (the same ones I joke with a lot). But what really hurt was when two seconds later she looked at everyone around her and said “what? She ALWAYS butts in!”
When she said that I was embarrassed, but mostly I felt guilty. I already knew this girl doesn’t really like me and she thinks I’m annoying but sometimes she is nice to me. Sometimes her and I do have fun and I can forget how mean she can be. And I can’t help but want to be her friend too most of the time. I was silent the rest of my shift. Thinking about it, I realized that I’m slowly becoming my mother. So desperate for connection I forget about social codes and try to include myself, forcing myself in by way of a joke or a laugh. And that’s where my guilt comes from. Guilty for trying to be a part of something (anything) that at least one person always doesn’t want me to be a part of. Hell, it’s the guilt from being born that my mother passed on to me.
So because of my gender, because of the way I experience femininity and masculinity and how I don’t know how to balance the two. Because I have no idea how to be friends with people, especially women regardless of how much I’d love a female friend. I don’t feel good enough for women, or most men for that matter. Because I only know how to feel “comfortable” in a way that makes me laugh around boys I wonder if I still am a pick me, or if I’m just an insanely lonely creature of habit. I feel like I know the answer but when I try to word it or think of it my mind goes blank.
I’m well aware that by sharing all of this I am opening myself up to criticism and judgement from anyone who reads this. I don’t expect many people to see this or read it all the way through, but I would like some thoughts. Or advice. Or any confirmation that I’m not the only one who’s experienced this. I just need at least one witness to my existence. Nobody I know follows me on here or even knows I have tumblr, so worst case scenario is that I have to delete this post because of some comments 🤷♀️. So what do I have to lose by finally making some of my feelings and thoughts public? This way it’s more anonymous
For a long time this loneliness was something I had to take pride in because if I didn’t I had to confront the realization that maybe no wanted me or wanted to be around me. But I’m getting too old for that and I’m tired. And the thought of being an actual pick me does scare me, because I’m also way too old for that. Hence why the topic triggers this thought process in me.

3D - 5D Soul Evolutionary Growth IS EVERYTHING ~ Ignorance Is NOT Bliss
We are at the most profound crucible within all creational era's for humanity ~
In which all of our offerings, teachings, and the masters before me, have offered the importance of our first 2 laws, and how crucial they are to basic human survival, entry into Oneness & any, All realms beyond the 3D we have read, been, and created as individuals, and collectives;
The mere ignorance of the general population and its level of normalcy it has subjected itself to, allowed to occur, simply sat by and done nothing, will be its own downfall; and not until grand occurrences happen, to home structures, the waters disappearing will then every soul see how barren attitudes of life, attitudes of the nurturance, the sustenance of what gives life life; will shake every persons soul to new action; and it is in the heavenly decree and order what occurs and the collective choice - the disrespect of the DF, all life outside DM has been on its tipping point for many decades, and this past cycle of raping, pillaging, and disrespect by those that were sent as characters with deeper and higher wisdoms, remained in sleepy arrogance of allowing all to be servants and non-action to the foundations of hell created through deceit, manipulation, harbouring demons rather than processing through such - the immaturity of such behaviour, actions, will be of only dire response ~
Remember dear ones, all is energy - we are universal omni-present beings, and what we emulate as a collective is our fate;
There are those of us, that are sent specifically for the purposes of collective design; to take on archetypal lessons, energies, to be the barometer of where we are at in our evolutionary scale of advancement; in a multi-dimensional manner, will we be offered into councils and educations, and learning systems of the higher realms, will we be a part of collectives of beings that help us expand ourselves evolutionarily or will it be contained in 3D oligarchy, misogyny and stagnant ways of dominance and control?
Every day is a test for our evolution - and some of us are brought to play characters to see how unified are we able to work, to heal, to maintain our planet - God has offered us this planet; when we create and treat one another, the raping and sexing of children, the non-care of gardens, metaphorically, and otherwise; what Gaia, Terra, the Divine Feminine represent; it is a profound part of the equation that is taken out of the E=Mc2 /
When you take the energy, the respect, the seed, the aspect of DF out of the life and co-creational part of existences, entire multi-verses feel such arrogance and so too the entirety is forever changed;
Eons of being subjugated in the horrendous ways that we have been, mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually and seen, known, represented in the deplorable ways, with as little as a spec of consideration upon the individual, or collective to change, humble, or bring into balance; all life is lost
How would the world look for instance without DF? Ask yourself this and ponder, think?
How would the body move through any experience without DF energy and intuitiveness, care, reproach to manifest the care, gentleness, kindness, sustenance and how would children grow to be; as the ones here already for you cannot have children without DF, unless you choose to grow all in test tubes, which is something that those like #Epstein, and the ignorant that choose power, ego, control, self indulgence over going within and healing the soul, spirit, inner child;
How would the world look within DF; anywhere, everywhere?
The misogynists of the planet; the ones that feel raping is ok? Those taking part in gang-raping for ritual and to feed a false sense of ego; truly the wounding of who you are at a soul level; to take that energy upon another, and raping their most sacred energy again, again, and feel it is normal behaviour -
When one does any kind of rape; land, animal, child, DF; it is a soul wound individually, collective; for we are all one; and that is energy and that energy even for masters like myself, that come as collective vessels to transmute, to understand, to be the epidemiologist for collective learning, collective growth; collective co-creative healing; and in every situation, in every instance, we are thrown battles at some level for simply being so?
Even the greatest master, offered to me years ago; 'Joanna, you do not have to transmute what is not yours' ~ the work, the loving intent, the loving discerning, the observations, the study, the reflections and the deep psyche knowing that I have as a multi-verse being, to help and to assist in bettering humanity, Gaia, and all life; has been thrown to the dirt as if I was nothing; in representation of all worlds for the DF; a sacred child of the Sun; the seed of all life, and though stating this for over 15 years, and many of my loyal clients know of this in me, and why they remain loyal and steadfast clients; however the world, due to its superficial addictions, the ego suppressions of the spirit, of pure honouring balance, and of the growing up of the forgotten and raped children, the forgotten and ignored children;
............I say this with great pause; ' there is an imbalance dear lighted ones, and daily we come to awaken, daily we come to inspire and uplift, and we are now seeing the shift of planets, and vibrations and there is little 'time' left for those that choose arrogance to life, arrogance to the balance of our multi-verse, the balance to all that is precious, inner wounding = outer wounding, and it will be seen everywhere in our social, matter world;
The Divine Feminine is no more offering her essence to heal, to be the secondary post to constant raping, disregard, and dis-enablement to what is pure evolutionary wisdom that will only allow for any evolution; and it is thrown gang-raping of vibrational proportions to feed the gluttonous amounts of arrogance of the immature souls refusing to heal, to grow, to take accountability from every home, and every facet of our reality - and only each can save themselves at this point;
The testing, the times of offering opportunities are up, and the end game is now in motion; worlds will shift out to ensure that those choosing ignorance and abhorrence to soul growth, soul wisdoms, the oneness and sanctity and sacredness of life will be on an earth of such, and will see its effects;
youtube
those that choose to play in gangs, corruption of any, all kinds, those that choose to daily, hourly not reflect on the oneness of ones harmful, disregarding choices, behaviour to another -
those that use and abuse power, title, resources for control and dominance in any way; mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically
those that choose to use power, dominance and energy to block, stalk, spy monitors, abuse the basic human spirited respect, interfering in anyones path, ON ANY LEVEL will be held on the earth moving from 5D earth
those that choose disrespect of trafficking, sex and otherwise, materials, brutal harm to animals for ignorance to rather grow and cultivate the land as we did and have always done in balance and respect; China in some of the most disconnected animals rights abuses; could use wisdoms and space, land for higher consciousness living, and symbiosis - all is our platform and lesson for higher vibrational living -
The abuse of airspace, nuclear and country to country control, dominance games, billions spent on warfare, and tactics of such; all will be a part of the earth - it is all energy that will shift to lower de-evolved 3D earth - the lack of care, responsibility, accountability and the tests are everywhere from spirit -
youtube
There simply has not been enough awakening from the ego fog, the spell work, the manipulations of the wounded that can make it otherwise - to win, to get, to take, to be entitled to energy, clout, name or game, gain; it is so heavy and no master will be treated the way I have been ever again -
I was a test dear ones, sent here to test humanity - did we deserve a divine and blessed planet of life, sacredness and can we be the ambassadors of such? Will we learn, grow, come together, and unify over petty issues of having, seeming, taking, being; superficial low vibrational immaturity the refusal to grow as a soul - life has been meaningless - how you treat your own body - what and how you are have been and how honouring are you for change, and what is your choice to be engaged;
Life is not a joke, this planet, the air; if taken tomorrow; all were given 48 hours; how many would sit and love, be unified, pray in love, and how many would scavenge the stores for their last few items to die with?
youtube
All is energy and what you do, not do, not evolve; affects the all - it is energy and evolution - all affects all and why God places masters before you - to test your character and truth of who you are for your own placement within creation and your ability to transcend hate - separation - how you treat everyone regardless of title, money, colour, belief - do you get it?
What if the Christ was a woman? What if the return of the Christ was a woman? What beliefs are held within you, the collective, our systems,, our governments in which there is zero sacred honour, divine reflection of who we each are DF is seen as servants, invisible and unimportant - and so too will that earth be;
What if God wanted all to be tested in your hearts - not only did Jesus go through what He did; for humanity and our lessons of soul growth and unity - but would it not make sense; the son of God, to be followed by the Daughter of God? With equal and deep soul lessons for the end of days redemption or not?
All get to choose. I am offering what God is; a story of experience of energies, of knowings, for purity of truth in reflection - raping our world of DF in any and all ways; is not comfortable to face but it must - to heal, to bring into unity - all choose.
There is zero - representation of sacredness to the DF done at a global, collective level - zero done for the sacred child, zero done in offering of honour to the elders; shamans of past, there is nothing we have today in any way where any of these groups are honoured, valued, and respected and bowed to - none can see, know, go to see, be with, create sacred ritual with; there is no where - and this is not in a church - churches from day one has been misogynistic intentions and none had reference to, designed by, nor resurrected of the DF;
The selfish gain and tricks for someone to mess and fuck with someone sacred energy centers, to close, veil, over 3rd eye to forget the damage they did, to not see God, that which brings peace for the entire collective;
Dear controlling ones, arrogant domineering ones, the ones doing all they can to control a story, a false narrative, another - you forget dear ones, I am a prophet for the collective DF, child and when you do such raping to the master - so too is it done to the collective - and what earth will you live on without life? without water, love care nourishment -
When you no longer care about children being raped in their own homes, trafficked for the knowing adult that hides their actions and behaviours why the underground - is underground - you cannot hide dear ones -
When such gangs, groups, do what they do for the glory of money, taking, selfish gain and not advance as a soul - to heal or to grow; arrogance, ignorance - to not heal to play such intentional abuse to humanity - will be returned - all will suffer - and these souls have to wear this story for their collective that was meant to be of honour and respect - that is what abuse does.
There is no amount of money or title that will repair this.
Humanity trusted such souls with gifts, energy to bring new elevation - not devastation - but so too are the tantrums one must learn from -
All is seen and known; and those that choose to torture anyone in any way; retribution will be to the innocent and the earth will shift so that all torturers will be together and those rapers will be together, and all those that simply only seek, to manipulate and control will be on san earth of their own demise - this is how souls will learn - and so too it must be common sense is not so common. Deceit overrules than being honest and taking what is basic human treatment -
Those that do such; were meant to bring wisdoms for humanity, god-like honour and rather - their need for greed, taking, selfishness, and games of false power, clout, superficiality - temptations - abused energy and gifts rather than help humanity has done drastic drastic harm; imbalance and ignorance - to do everything harmful to have to torture 1 DF into a sick submission - so too will be their own soul reflection when all that was sacred within them, will be turned to their own hazing intentions - rather than ascending, they chose to descend and torture innocence - for claim, take, rape, feel better; all wounding within - same message -
The sick mental torture, the games, the manipulations, the pure and blatant ABUSE of power is bringing certain demise to systems of life and so too is the ignorance to even see this;
youtube
None, no master should ever ever ever have to claw and fight to simply have nothing, the bare minimum and when we are sensed to receive something - there is a gang, or a selfish arrogant energy, ex, family that will do gang work to take, block, and stave off any receipt - it is torture to their own inner wounding - as I represent light and purity - they will do all they can to project their won inner child wounding to their own purity being wounded -
The stories you believe, or just think, about fairness, equality, the empowerment to balance the necessity of balance in all life - to sustain all worlds all to all realms;
Those wish not to take accountability and heal - they will be who they will be and those of us that are simply pure, wise, and truthful will be seen as the ones torture; hate is hate - the equal opposite to be able to feel, see, feel love;
There were even the famous pyramids - the great sphinx that even had her dismembered to look masculine - thus imprinted in every persons fields, as masculine; to represent energy and power, and longevity - She is DF dear ones; the Sphinx is feminine - but even this, will create debate and argument - for there is zero reign or space, energy the ignorance, the arrogance the simple minded and staunch rigid de-evolved mind will do, allow for any change to even hear and listen - this is disrespect - dishonouring 1/2 of your energy to all life ; - how will earth look, feel, without water, the energies of DF?
Alter your beliefs and spreading your vibrational knowing, seeking, waking up - would be pivotal for all at this point - denying the DF within in any and all ways; patterns of such energy and intentions are everywhere - and each are here to change it - 1 master DF cannot do it;
These are profound questions, and dark as it may be, these are the collective tremblings and it is in need of repair; and there are few that carry the energy to carry the world with them;
the arrogance of double standards, the harm done at a soul level and those that do so do it intentionally and get joy of causing chaos, mental, emotional entrapment, the spiritual and spell work also done is intentional and they get joy of causing such
the socio-path of such intentional pain when someone does nothing to you; other than asking, honouring their own human rights to safely living, safely moving, safely expressing of oneself - speaking truth; it is literally torture - it is not only the 3 days on the cross, that Jesus suffered -
The crucifixion was showing humanity the pain and suffering of their arrogance and the suffering of sacrifice immaturity to not evolve beyond such beliefs, but this path for me has been relentlessly impaled to every scheme of torture vibrationally imagined, emotional and financial, mental torture; for over 7 years
Many of us have carried literally countries of energy through ascension, we have carried the most arrogant of souls out of unconditional love, transmuting the darkness and harm, daily, and offering chance after chance, time after time to do what is right, truthfulness, and honest, integrity for the children, and to see the errs of their ways, to wake the fuck up and see what your disconnection of self, spirit, what is does and ripple through creation - simply, those like myself have been summoned off this realm - transporting my energies else where, and anchoring love, seeds, and nurturance to any life that respects and honours it;
Two nights ago, a very ceremonious time of the year, summer solstice, there were the same gang-bangers that gathered, and did a ceremony to set up vibrational raping, harvesting my light, my life force; for they feel the rush of power, the dominance and claim they would have if they sacrificed a consciousness make-shift event; I woke up out of my resting slumber at 12:00midnight to the disgust of being vibrationally gang-raped; and to the dismay and disappointment of the heavens, the guides, the ancestors, the beings of all dimensions; the Heavens cried once again.
I did what I could the entirety of the next day to transmute the vision, the feeling, the sensation of having your divine life force pulled, drained, raped out of you in a drunken frenzied debaucherous game of selfish harmful, most distasteful wounding;
There are those of us sent here for benevolence for the all - why we are not fitting in with normality - we see it, we observe it and we move through experiences for the healing of it - to create and help heal - transcend - Enough is enough; as God had offered in our posts a year ago - when God offered a final chance; that is God - the grace of all change, life, sacredness - we have disconnected so much so, the control, the dominance, to control what one gets, has, or even those that want to keep anyone moving towards a person;
youtube
ie; an ex doing cock-blocking and those doing rituals to stave true love from uniting, or healing, helping; any arrogance of control due to the only selfishness; the sick sick constant and relentless pressing of control on the DF, meant to be liberated in creation, healing, expression as equals; will be equally what is returned to the life you see within and before you - all is all - / One so too will your version of earth be, Gaia, the DF to carry you for eons; whatever life you return to and not care about the harm, karma you were meant to clear this timeline - you will experience and return - it never leaves your soul - until you seek it within, acknowledge, accept, allow new energy only through self love; healing.
When you are sent as archetypes as a God, to speak on behalf, uphold sacred stories, energies, and bring peace, and bring wisdoms, and nurture higher order, higher evolution - but get stuck, Choose to be stuck in arrogance and immaturity to feed temptation - it affects the collective your soul chose to uplift and assist Creation -
You are here to break sacrificing, and bondage - self love, self honour, self value - all are now at end game; if you will not go within and take accountability for your sacred life and honour it, value it; then the earth will shift you to that earth of equal
I went for my walk in the forest, as I often do to help cleanse and purify me, and as I reach the end of it, around the corner of the final bend of the trail, I broke down, placed my hand on the tree in sobbing surrender; 'I cannot take this any longer-the constant raping' God said enough.
Their intentions to take, to steal, to have my star force, my star essence; in their ignorance cannot be taken in such a way, but they did not care to read, learn, grow in any way of what energy is, over 500 videos explaining such; the ignorance is not bliss, it is simply ignorance, and what world, what life will you have before you without the balance of DF; rivers and oceans will dry up, hospitals will cease, life and birth will cease, repair on and of any disease; many that have done such to me, over and over again, will see, experience disease; for this is Gods showing, and offering of even a % of what intentions were to someone that intended nothing, does not even know, have ever spoken to the beings that impale such hate; it is mere ignorance and elitism that hides behind false arrogant misguided religions of falseness and has nothing to do with sacredness of life, love; the basis of all religions - and they have such twisted warped sense of self, wounding so deep, these groups have affected the sacred to a point of no return; consequences are such.
May the immaturity getting a momentary fuck-rush be worth the intentions, the soul and spirit energies that were meant to be offered for grace, honour, gentleness, and redemption and care to bring balance; was again used to rape, take, mimick, copy and degrade; the sacrifice of another, for something -
youtube
The balance of our DF/DM is everything for our evolution - and all simply remain asleep and unaware, ignorant, arrogance; affects everything
The taking of children from their mothers, for the embarrassment of games, scamming, scheming of power and abuse of it that have zero care for the health, futures of the children but to only be seen as the winner, the right one, the one that walks with title and being seen, known as 'right' -
When the DM, when the societal ways, knows nothing about energy, has not practiced it in light but to degrade and manipulate and has every day affected the souls, and futures of their children in playing the games of false power, false entitlement -
youtube
SACRIFICE is not necessary - all any needs is within - this has been said, offered, 1 million different ways, and still they don't care; they just want to take, rape, pillage - these are souls that choose to not heal, not care, and rape the most precious thinking it gains something -
When you play power and energy against one another - you will never ever win; that is not the intent - so many low consciousness will destroy themselves for this is their level of intelligence -
Masters like myself, Jesus, have come to offer higher ways of resolve - and then we are raped into submission of silence; the arrogance and stupidity of serpent, zero knowledge and understanding beside controlling, spell work, manipulation of energy - which will never ever move beyond 3D - truth is truth; enough is enough
No child would ever want to be born into a world of rape and the disregard to grace, to sacredness of life; bondage, control, dominance is an illusion and anyone, any person entrapping, blackmailing - that does all they do to get their way; is in and of itself is immaturity tantrums that will destroy itself - for we are not children.
The out-right blatant idiocy - how can any violent, degrading, vile act ever provide a sacred loving essence?
Sacrificing of animals, people, energy, in any way; gang-raping for initiations is for the most abhorrent and twisted minds that would ever think, for a second this would a 'thing' to gain anything but disease, imbalances, demons, and disgust - anyone that is so in surrender of their life, faculties to agree, do such;.....................
Energy is energy - what you do matters, what you do, who you are creates matter
You have just manifested your world into being; may you wake up now.
youtube
I ask again, 'what world you create is the world you will manifest' so be it.
May the 'stuff' be worth it, may the fuck-rush be worth it;
As a reflection of the sacred child, the divine feminine of never seen, offered before in one human, this was doubly offensive and the souls have retreated into the womb; the sacred child of the Christ, the birthing of oneness and unity, will not be for the mere testing of each and every ones character every day, every hour; and such gang schemes, scams, negligence to life, to sacredness that saves souls from demons and forever darkness, it, I and life is treated
'There is no civility to the sacred. All has been a blessing offered through the love and grace of Source, the Creators, and we have done nothing but rape it; the sacredness will be moved in reflection of your own vibration.' The Creators 12th dimensional collective
there will be a shift / through birthing as all basic biology, the cells will separate; one earth will be that of disregard, and ego, wounding, selfishness, disrespect, raping, taking advantage of children, life, people, animals, and so on, and such will be the stories, and the evolutionary lessons that all in our omni-will learn about the harms done through our arrogance and the ripple effect of such
Soul evolution is everything - it is connected deeply to our planet - and the raping is enough
Look up the word 'rape' and ponder, think, go within and heal what is triggered of such; when you were taken from so ravagely and unfairly, the unjust treatment you saw to an animal through immaturity, anger, arrogance, and heal this - call the deep emotions of being disregarded, silenced for your expression, not valued, not honoured, violently discarded, and isolated then blamed when you finally have the strength to stand, targetted after being isolated, then storied as crazy when you choose to side with such degrading and deplorable behaviour -
The elitism of such leaders, the masks that such titles and abuse of money and power have given; to be seen as powerful and leaders; yet behind closed doors, the family head treat life in spells, casting, voodoo, manipulation to control, to be the only one, to take, to be the one in control; and too shall be the arrogance of imbalance and unfair, unjust be returned;
Anyone that test you, wants you to endure sacrifice in any way, torture of any kind in any way; the thought that degrading life to be, feel, or be a part of anything - is NOT evolutionary of sacred life and is de-evolving - choose wisely - what sacrifice and how you do so
Anyone that claims clout, importance and need, want, and feels empowered to know you and be around you, or be involved with you for their own inner satisfaction - is ego, arrogance, and inner lack of self not being healed; you should never ever need anyone outside of you to feel important, good; especially when that person is the very one you did everything to to break, isolate as unimportant, and not skilled and unintelligent or crazy and ridiculous - ©
I will never be a part of such covens, clouts, groups, of abuse; nor will I return, nor will any energy of the past return; there is abuse, deceit, playing both sides, and immaturity - withholding, manipulation, deceit, games and denial;
My business, sacred offering, materials, video's, sessions online, any material content, books, and blogs, all my inspirations, of a mastery soul experience through all creation -
I have earned my right to be me, and be loved, valued, and given to me as me - those that rape to take for their own lack of self, insecurity - will be immediate and toxic selfish arrogance and ignorance is not bliss; it is torture and degrading, and de-evolving - damage done; all are required to go within and heal.
The message is the same.©
All get to choose - soul growth and self healing, self evolution - none will stick around to be abused, lied to, gamed, and taken from for the fun and sick torment of any group that thinks they know anyone, know their souls blueprint, potential, skill and importance - these false spiritualists and falsely entitled community leaders that only bring corruption, pain, de-evolution - all will face what they have created - the raping is the raping - business, sense of self you take from the innocent through deceit, manipulation - withhold, falsifying documents, all is rape - rape of the sacred - all get to choose the earth they belong to - and so too will it return to you - will you wake up and heal?

Note
Been enjoying your analyses and meta commentary, very insightful as someone who isn't knowledgeable of all the lore potential. I was curious about the idea of Jaune being a "damsel in distress" because I totally get his allusion to Joan of Arc and how he's (thankfully) not a typical male hero type, but I'm wondering what exactly that part about being a damsel might mean for him moving forward.
Hi!
As promised, here I come after the ending of the volume :D
So, the truth is that this volume didn't change many things when it comes to Jaune's arc, but it strenghtens some ideas I have had for a while.
Before starting, I am linking 3 metas:
A meta on Jaune's arc in general up until volume 9
A meta on Jaune's allusion and what I think it means symbolically for the narrative
A meta written by @hamliet on how Jaune and Weiss fit the anima/animus archetype, which is important for both their arcs regardless to shipping
MAIDENS, KNIGHTS AND METALS
In general, Jaune's arc is defined by the dychotomy Knight/Maiden (the same one Wiess has > Knight/Queen). This dychotomy has its root in Jaune's allusion aka Jeanne D'Arc.
She was both:
The Maid of Orleans
A Knigth leading her people
Moreover, the crux of Jeanne is that she was able to be a valent Knight because of her inner strength, rather than her physical one. She was a Knight because she was a Maid.
Well, Jaune should become the same. He can never be the man he wants to be if he doesn't accept he is a maiden, as well. What's more, it is precisely his inner maiden that can lead him to become a hero. In other words, he should integrate his feminine parts in order to become fully whole. He needs to integrate with his anima, which is represented by Pyrrha:
What is the anima exactly?
In short, it is an archetype defined by Carl Jung as the feminine part of a man. It is that mix of traits culturally associated with the feminine that several men repress and need to develop. In stories, the anima is usually integrated through a relationship with another person. Basically, it is the idea behind opposites attract: a person projects traits he feels he lacks on another person and acquires them in order to grow closer to that person.
As you can see, this is Jaune and Pyrrha in a nutshell > Jaune wants to become like Pyrrha, so he grows closer to her and integrates what he lacks through her. Basically his arc is to grow more and more like Pyrrha by facing similar challenges.
This process of refinement is conveyed through a metal motif. To be specific, Jaune's story is commented perfectly by the 7 metals of alchemy.
What are the 7 metals of alchemy?
The 7 metals of alchemy are lead, tin, iron, copper, mercury, silver and gold. They are 7 substances wich were thought to have special properties and that alchemists linked to planets. Lead was considered the least pure, while gold was considered the most perfect. The goal of alchemy was to turn the lead into gold.
In short, the 7 metals can be put in a scale that goes from the least refined to the most refined. RWBY uses this scale to comment on characters' arcs. Jaune is the main example of this. His story is the journey of an immature boy, who goes from lead to gold.
JAUNEDICE
Cardin: Let's see how much of a man you really are…
Cardin alludes to the Cardinal of Winchester, who was in charge of Jeanne's trial and condemned her to death. The point of the trial was to establish if Jeanne was really a saint or just a fraud. This idea is taken and applied to Jaune and Cardin's relationship in 2 different ways:
Cardin discovers Jaune cheated in order to enter Beacon, so he is indeed an "impostor". Cardin takes advantage of this and threathens Jaune to have him expelled. He can really have him "executed" metaphorically, since he can force Jaune to leave the school.
Cardin judges Jaune because he doesn't fit the typical male stereotype. He is weak and clumsy and looks like a loser. He is not "a real man" in Cardin's eyes. Just like Jeanne was not a "real maid" or a "real saint", according to the Cardinal of Winchester.
These 2 ideas bring up 2 key-themes in Jaune's arc. On the one hand his journey is one of growing to like himself for who he is. On the other hand this process of self-affirmation and maturation can only happen if Jaune gives up his internalized toxic masculinity. Again, in order to stop being a fraud and to become a true hero, he needs to accept he is a maiden at heart. He is Jaune, but he is also Jaunedice and this is not an insult.
Here is where his path diverges from Jeanne, though. Jeanne drew her strength from her virginity, while Jaune's growth lies in romantic love. Specifically, it lies in him struggling with it and in him meeting many many women, who inspire him to be better.
LEAD MAIDEN
Jaune: I don't want help! I don't want to be the damsel in distress! I want to be the hero!
This line encapsulates Jaune's early immaturity. He wants to be a hero, but has no idea of what a hero is and doesn't realize a full fledged individual would not hesitate to ask for help, in order to grow. Luckily for him, Pyrrha is kind, patient and takes her time to care for Jaune. Thanks to her, Jaune is able to let go of his macho-persona a little bit at the end of the Jaunedice mini-arc.
Jaune acts heroically not when he tries to comform to the toxic masculinity gang around him, but when he stands up to them for Pyrrha's sake.
This is why his adventure with Cardin ends with a minor miracle:
(Jaune's proto-semblance activating)
And with Jaune's hand being guided by a "superior force":
(Pyrrha's semblance)
And after this, Jaune finally accepts Pyrrha's help and starts to grow:
Jaune: Wait! I know I don't deserve it after all that happened, but… would you still be willing to help me… to help me become a better fighter?
Jaune's growth can be read through the 2 motifs mentioned above.
He plays the Princess to Pyrrha's Hero:
He is the lead to her gold:
He is raw material, who Pyrrha decides to guide and to refine. Thanks to her, Jaune is able to grow both in body (he becomes a better fighter) and in spirit (he becomes a better person). By the end of the Vale arc, Jaune has grown more mature and tries to step in the role of advisor:
Jaune: I guess… I'm just trying to say that… you've always been there for me… even when I didn't deserve it. And I can tell there's something on your mind, so… I don't know. How can I help?
Still, he is not enough wise, so he fails. This leads to Jaune ending the arc not as a hero, but as a rescued party:
This scene is meaningful for several reasons. It is a call-back to Jaunedice where Cardin closes Jaune in a locker and sends him flying. Despite all his growth, Jaune ends the Beacon arc where he started. Inside a locker, sent away by someone, who is choosing in his stead. At the same time, he is still the damsel in distress. He is not Pyrrha's equal and can't help her. The choice of the metal locker is interesting because it resembles an iron maiden:
So, literally Jaune is still an immature maiden symbolically... not a knight. It is just that he is not even iron by this point. He is still lead, while Pyrrha is gold. So, Pyrrha moves on to self-actualization and completes her arc. Jaune is instead left behind.
TIN KNIGHT
Blacksmith: That was some fine metal you brought me. Accents the white nicely. Where'd you get it from?
Jaune starts Mistral by integrating Pyrrha's metal within his weapon. In the same occasion, he also changes his armor because he has grown bigger:
Jaune: Guess I was going to grow out of it eventually. Ren: A sign of progress. Jaune: Progress.
This marks a shift in his character, both when it comes to the male/female dychotomy and to the scale of metals.
On the one hand he starts growing more "masculine". He is now a stronger fighter and has a more powerful weapon:
He is clearly pursuing his end-goal to be a hero, like Pyrrha was.
On the other hand Pyrrha's metal helps him evolving into tin. It means he is making progress in the definition of his own self-identity, but he is still frail. This association links him to another female character, who just like Jaune is growing more self-assured through summoning her own personal Tin-Man:
Obviously I am talking about Weiss, who in Mistral shares Pyrrha's role as important woman for Jaune's arc TM.
In Mistral, Jaune goes through 2 moments of refinement, linked respectively to Weiss and Pyrrha.
He saves Weiss by activating his semblance.
This awakening marks him growing both in body and spirit. He discovers a new super-power that makes him a more valuable asset, but does so through growing up emotionally. Once again, he is trying to be a hero by clinging to his macho-persona. "I am going on a noble quest for revenge! And I am dying for others! Look how heroic I am!". His actions only mess everything up for his group and put Weiss in danger, though. So, he changes approach and discovers what really matters is not for him to fight the enemy, but rather that he is there for others. He becomes more of a Knight by embracing a feminine trait (healing).
At the same time, you can really see this moment as a parallel to Jaunedice. There Jaune adheres to toxic masculinity embodied by Cardin. Here Jaune gives in to toxic masculinity to fight Cinder. There he breaks free to protect Pyrrha. Here he comes to his senses for Weiss's sake. There he activates a proto-version of his semblance to heal himself. Here he awakens the whole thing to save Weiss. Both times, the moment he integrates his most feminine traits, he is able to perform a miracle. After all, reviving someone is THE miracle par excellance and to make it even more obvious it happens at Haven. Obvious religious symbolism is obvious.
He meets a mysterious Red Haired Woman, who guides him
This meeting is highly important symbolically because obviously the Red Haired Woman is a stand-in for Pyrrha. It doesn't really matter if she is Pyrrha's spirit, Pyrrha's mother or Jaune's own vision. What matters is that once again Pyrrha is stepping into the role of anima to guide Jaune in a moment of pain and self-doubt. She shows him the way:
Red-Haired Woman: She understood that she had a responsibility… to try. I don't think she would regret her choice, because a Huntress would understand that there really wasn't a choice to make. And a Huntress is what she always wanted to be.
She conveys to him Pyrrha will always be a part of Jaune himself and will live through him. This is why it is important Jaune keeps on living and keeps on trying. If he does, he will be keeping Pyrrha alive, as well.
This moment too parallels Jaunedice. There Pyrrha uses her semblance to move Jaune's hand. Here, Pyrrha's memory and ideal inspire Jaune to move forward. Both times, it is as if a "superior force" (God/Goddess) assists Jaune.
So, both scenes reference Jaunedice and Jeanne d'Arc. At the same time, they are 2 moments, where Jaune makes progress both into grieving Pyrrha and into becoming more like her.
At Haven, Jaune tries to imitate Pyrrha by going after Cinder to sacrifice himself, like she did. Still, he misses the contexts are different. It is only when he saves Weiss that he acts as Pyrrha would have:
Jaune: Pyrrha once told me I've got a lot of it (aura). I still believe her.
(Again, notice the religious symbolism > I still believe her > I have faith > it is Jaune's faith in Pyrrha who gives him strength, like Jeanne's faith in God made her powerful)
And in this way, he starts properly grieving. He could not save Pyrrha, but he can save Weiss and protect his friends.
At Argus, Jaune chooses to do what Pyrrha did at Beacon. Like her, he knows he might die, but decides to push forward because he wants to be a Huntsman, like Pyrrha was a Huntress.
Nora: Pyrrha may not be by our side anymore, but we can fight like she is. Jaune: And in a way… she will be.
He can keep Pyrrha's legacy alive, so that Pyrrha will never truly be gone.
Through these 2 important improvements, Jaune evolves once again. He solidifies his sense of self and steps into Atlas as a real Knight this time. And this is what he is throughout the whole arc:
IRON KNIGHT CAN'T SAVE COPPER GIRL
Ren: Jaune on the other hand… There's no fear at all. I can see it, he believes we're going to get this done.
This is Atlas Jaune in a nutshell. He is a proper Knight in Shining Armor. He has no fear, his faith keeps burning bright even when everyone else loses it and his mental strength is unparalleled. Throughout the whole arc Jaune acts very maturely. He is there for others and can keep a level-head. In other words, he is already very similar to how Pyrrha was.
He is
A Knight
Iron
The passage from tin to iron marks his sense of self growing stronger. It is also fitting because Atlas is the Kingdom of a certain general.
Ironwood embodies the metal iron (which then degenerates into the tin of the Tin-Man), so of course he is a foil to Jaune. Whereas Ironwood loses faith in others and is undone, Jaune keeps on believing and blossoms into a hero.
And yet, both iron-men have to deal with a girl made of copper, who challenges them:
Penny represents the metal copper. She is green and her name and allusion both reference the metal. Pennies are made of copper and, at the end of the novel, Pinocchio's 30 pennies are transformed into 30 golden coins. Just like our real girl's arc finishes with her becoming gold <3
Copper is more perfected than iron, so both Ironwood and Jaune should aspire to be like Penny. They should grow through her. However, both have problems to do so. Ironwood straighout fails, whereas Jaune chooses to trust Penny at the cost of a strong personal sacrifice:
By choosing to kill her, Jaune sacrifices his new found sense of self, which was built on the idea he is the one who saves. He is the one who heals. He is the self born by wanting to emulate Pyrrha. And yet, he wasn't enough. Just like Pyrrha wasn't.
I am bringing Pyrrha up because Jaune's 2 big set-backs in volume 8 are Pyrrha's 2 failures in volume 3.
Both Pyrrha and Jaune are forced to kill Penny
Both Pyrrha and Jaune stay behind to fight Cinder and "die" as a result
So Jaune is growing more like Pyrrha not only when it comes to her positive traits, but also when it comes to her struggles and traumas. He is integrating everything of her. Both the positive parts and the painful ones.
Differently from Pyrrha, Jaune doesn't really die, but his fall counts as a metaphorical death, especially because Jaune ends up spending a whole life in grief and stagnation. His Knight in Shining Armor self fails, but he can't really let go of it. He is stuck in iron and this is why he becomes the Rusted Knight:
RUSTED KNIGHT IS SAVED BY MERCURY GIRL
Jaune: Afterans are all either too clever, too stupid, or too crazy to trust!
Jaune's final choice in Atlas is to trust Penny, while Jaune's mindset in the Ever After is to distrust everyone. He distrusts the Cat, the Paper Pleasers, the Tree and Alyx (he assumes she lied about everything and killed Lewis). At the same time, he keeps on believing in Ruby, to the point he idealizes her and dives after her weapon with no hesitation:
Jaune: Hey, there's… something I've been holding onto for you. It was the first thing I saw. (opens the chest) When I was falling. Ruby's eyes widen, seeing the folded form of Crescent Rose inside the chest. Jaune: Years later, when I finally found it…
This is an interesting contradiction. Up until Atlas, Jaune's faith is shown as something positive, but in the Ever After that same faith becomes a shakle that prevents him from evolving. Moreover, that same faith in ideals (Ruby, the ideal of being a Hero) is not supported by trust in people. Doesn't this remind you of anyone?
Yep, in the Ever After Jaune exhibits traits similar to Ironwood because he is stuck in iron. He can't evolve, so what was once something positive becomes a limitation. Just like with the general.
This process is well conveyed through Jaune "eating" the clockwork orange/stopwatch fruit:
The fruit has Jaune:
Go back in time > regression
Stuck in the Ever After to "kill time" > stagnation
The Rusted Knight is a result of this. Not only has Jaune failed to change, but he has unconsciounsly regressed to a framework, which relies on toxic masculinity:
Jaune: Once I started helping them, it didn’t take long for me to figure out I was in her story. I… was the Rusted Knight. But things weren’t always the same as the book. Like Alyx… she wasn’t just a little petulant or inconsiderate. She was selfish… cruel. Like this whole word was simply make-believe and the rules didn’t apply to her.
This whole speech makes it pretty clear. Jaune is the hero, while Alyx is the damsel in distress. Except Alyx doesn't conform to the role and tries to kill Jaune. So, Jaune finds someone else, who can fit the role better. And here we arrive to the Paper Pleasers. They are the perfect damsels because they are kind, but also frail. Except there is one small problem. They don't really want to be saved:
Purple Paper Pleaser: I do not wish to be rude, but our work has been completed for quite some time. Because of us, the land is beautiful, but we have realized that like ourselves, it is also very delicate. We would like to make something that is pleasing, but also resilient. Because of this, we are ready to leave ourselves and merge with the Tree, so that it might return us as something new. But… our hero is displeased by this course of action.
The one between Jaune and the Paper Pleasers is a positive relationship of mutual fondness turned into a limiting one for both parties. On the one hand Jaune is unable to leave the Paper Pleasers out of fear they would hurt themselves. On the other hand Jaune's presence won't let the Paper Pleasers evolve. It is a palliative relationship that helps Jaune cope, but doesn't let him move on.
So, our Rusted Knight may look like a hero, but is really a person trapped in his own pain. This is really no surprising and deep down it is all a reaction to Penny's death:
Jaune: I’m sorry, I… I know I’m not okay. I- I’m not right, but… Who am I supposed to be…? I’ve been alone… for SO… LONG! Here… On that bridge… I was the only one that could do it! I was the ONLY ONE!
Which in turn is nothing, but a repetition of Jaune's original trauma:
Pyrrha's death is the crux of Jaune's arc. So far he has managed to find resolve and motivation in it. Still, this unsolved pain is now clearly eating him alive. This leads to 2 consequences:
In the Ever After Jaune's weapon is broken and he never uses his semblance. This could very well be he has no reason to, but it is still interesting. Jaune's weapon and semblance are attributes he metaphorically receives from Pyrrha. He uses her metal and believes/imitates her with his semblance. The lack of both in the Ever After is then a symbol of how he has lost not only himself, but also his Goddess. Maybe this is why this time Pyrrha can't really guide Jaune. He is in too much pain and has reached a point, where even his paragon (Pyrrha) can't help him. What to do?
Jaune gets the chance to mend his wounds in a fairy-tale world, where he can re-examine his traumas and find a positive solution to them. This is the point of the Ever After. It is a fantastic simplified world, where you go to heal. Like people find comfort in fiction. Jaune in particular plays a self-insert. He is the Rusted Knight, the great hero of the story. Alyx is his heroine. Thanks to her he can overcome his current block.
And yet, this doesn't really seem the case initially. Alyx betrays Jaune and poisons him, which worsens his mental state, paranoia and hero complex. Still, it is actually important Jaune fails to be a hero. Accepting failure is kind of the point:
Weiss: I think you’re asking too much of yourself. We’ve been telling ourselves that failing means we’re no good. But I can guarantee even the best Huntsmen in history… they’ve all lost. But they were still incredibly brave… and good.
Weiss's speech is what moves Jaune to change and it happens in a scene full of symbolism.
Witnessing a miracle
This time Jaune doesn't perform a miracle, but gets to be a witness to one:
His friends come back as more refined versions of themselves. This wonderful event finally opens Jaune's eyes:
Jaune: In trying so hard to save them… I stopped them from becoming what they needed to be. I was being selfish because I… I wanted the rush of rescuing someone and I got that here.
He lets go of his Knight persona and can finally accept who he is as a person:
Jaune: Maybe that Cat was right… Maybe I just needed to accept it. It’s not a place you go.
This happening thanks to Weiss is important because it is an inversion of Mistral. There he starts to heal by saving her physically. This results into Weiss becoming a Queen (Queen Lancer). Here she starts to heal by guiding him spiritually. This results into Jaune's first step into leaving his Knight persona behind. Alyx helps him with the second.
Guided by a superior force
This time the Goddess guiding Jaune is none other than Alyx, the protagonist of the fairy tale they are all in:
This moment, as per usual, ties with Jaune's allusion, as he gets to see a vision that inspires him and helps him out. The difference is that instead than Pyrrha, he sees Alyx. This happens because Jaune's arc as the Rusted Knight is a condensed version of his story as Jaune Arc. When it comes to his role in RWBY, Pyrrha is his Goddess. When it comes to his role as the Rusted Knight, Alyx is. The Girl Who Fell Through the World is really Jaune's chance to solve some internal issues, so he can go back outside and face bigger challenges.
Here, Alyx symbolizes many things:
She is a person he could not save
She is a person who hurt Jaune
She is Jaune's own child self > she symbolizes all Jaune's childish fantasies to be a hero
For Jaune to take her hand then it means he is accepting who he really is, so that he can change:
Alyx: Maybe it’s time for a change, to be the kind of man you always wanted to be.
At the same time, it means Jaune forgiving and finding in himself the ability to trust again:
Our Jeanne has a new-found inner faith.
After this moment, Jaune shows progress:
He is able to finally save a person (Neo)
He lets go of Juniper, the Rusted Knight partner. This means he is ready to leave his childhood fantasies to someone else (well, in this case Somewhat else :P)
He is finally ready to move on and this is what happens.
Alyx's knife fixes Jaune and our Alice in Wonderland gives Jeanne d'Arc a second chance at living.
Symbolically this means 2 things:
1 - Jaune has finally left iron and become mercury. The color of Alyx's apparition and knife isn't enough bright to be either gold nor silver (the 2 perfect metals), but it is a lighter tone of gray, which fits the metal mercury. Mercury is also supposed to bring wisdom, which is what Jaune's white streak in his hair suggests.
What this means for Jaune's arc in Vacuo is hard to tell. As for now, I think it is obvious he is gonna interact with/foil Mercury:
2 - Alyx saving Jaune starts Jaune's final stage of development. A stage where he becomes a proper maiden. Not the whiny little Jaunedice he is in the beginning, but a wise Jaunedice able to guide and inspire others. Why is that so?
Well, to begin with Alyx saving Jaune is an inversion of gender roles:
Jaune is supposed to be the tragic hero who drinks the poison in Alyx's stead. Still, what really happens is that Alyx dies tragically, but her last redemptive wish saves Jaune. Jaune starts the volume as the Rusted Knight, but ends it as a Mercurial Maiden saved by Alyx, the real protagonist of her own story.
Alyx is such a wonderful character specifically because of this. She introduces Jaune and the others to a world which is gray. She herself is gray. She is the poison and the medicine (again mercury). She is a maiden, but doesn't fit her role for 2 opposite reasons:
She is not a good person TM
She is not saved, but saves
Her presence in the Ever After helps Jaune make some progress when it comes to Pyrrha and Penny's deaths. Still, she also prepares him for the final Maiden he will have to help:
GOLDEN MAIDEN
Pyrrha: Do you believe in destiny?
Pyrrha's question sets up Jaune and Cinder's foiling and intertwines their arcs. They both are looking for their destinies, after all. For a final goal worth dedicating their lives to. There is a differnce though.
Jaune gets the chance to hear Pyrrha's explanation about what destiny is, while Cinder kills Pyrrha before she can speak.
In short, Jaune knows what destiny is:
When I think of destiny, I don't think of a predetermined fate you can't escape. But rather… some sort of final goal, something you work towards your entire life.
However, Cinder doesn't. If she wants to self-actualize she needs to learn Pyrrha's lesson and so far Jaune is the only one left to teach her. This would also make much sense for Jaune's arc itself. I mean, isn't Jaune purpose to integrate with Pyrrha and fulfill her legacy? Well, teaching Cinder about Choice is what Pyrrha has left behind for someone else to do. For someone else to succeed where she failed.
This role is also a role only a Maiden at Heart can fulfill. I mean, this is literally what the text says. So far, each maiden with flaming eyes has had a maiden at heart explaining the theme to her. Raven is taught by Yang and Winter by Penny. Obviously Pyrrha was supposed to teach Cinder, but got no chance. So, for Jaune to succeed he has to symbolically become a Golden Maiden.
Golden > like Pyrrha was
Maiden > like his allusion suggests he deep down is
This resolution also ties with Jaune's foiling with both Ruby and Weiss.
Ruby and Jaune's parallel arcs are clearly about growing together in different ways, so that they can successfully help Cinder. Once they do Cinder will probably save the world. Like Alyx saved Jaune.
It is just Ruby is set up to be Cinder's Prince. She is the one who "dances" with Cinderella at the dance in volume 2, after all. And she is the one equipped with silver slippers able to save Cinderella. Jaune is instead set up to be Cinder's maiden at heart. Or if you prefer Cinder's fairy, who makes sure she can go to her final dance. (RWBY loves playing with gender roles).
So, in order to succeed Jaune really has to follow into Weiss's footsteps and integrate both his masculine and feminine traits. This is what our Snowhite does. She starts as a spoilt little princess:
She grows into a brave Knight:
And she finally becomes a Generous Queen:
A Queen Lancer to be exact > someone who combines being a queen with being a knight. Someone who has integrated with her anima.
Well, Jaune's arc is the same. He starts as a whiny Jaunedice/a loser knight. He grows into a proper Knight in Shining Armor. He is gonna become a Wise Maiden. A Golden Maiden, who is also a Knight.
JAUNE AS PYRRHA'S GENIAL GEM
Blake: This is them, isn’t it? They’re back. Weiss: It’s just like they said. They came back from the Tree, better. Yang: No flood or fire will ever hurt them again.
The point of the Genial Gems' evolution is that they have the same heart as before, but are right now less frail, which means they won't die as easily anymore.
I think this foreshadows Jaune's arc in relation to Pyrrha:
Jaune: She should be standing here… Red-Haired Woman: She is.
The Mysterious Woman tells Jaune Pyrrha is standing there not because she is Pyrrha, but because Jaune himself is Pyrrha. He represents Pyrrha's legacy and he is bound to become even greater than she was. He will succeed and survive, where Pyrrha failed and died.
In short, he is gonna become a more perfected version of Pyrrha. He is gonna become Pyrrha's Genial Gem. In order to succeed though, it is probable he has to let go of Pyrrha. Just like the Paper Pleasers needed to let go of Jaune. They could not keep relying on him if they wanted to become what they were meant to be. Jaune needs to do the same. Still, this doesn't mean Pyrrha loses her importance. Not at all. The Paper Pleasers new-found selves are probably inspired by Jaune. He taught them the perils of being made of paper. So, they come out with a brand new form. Jaune has had an influence on the Paper Pleasers, just like Ruby has had on Little:
Blacksmith: The five of you have had a greater impact than you know. Just like Alyx and Lewis did before you. Just like others will after you. One small kindness in one small moment would be such a marvelous transformation.
The same goes for Jaune himself and Pyrrha. He needs to let Pyrrha go, so that he can find herself again. He needs to stop relying on her memory, so that he can become his own self. This is why I think that Jaune leaving Juniper behind is also symbolic of him making a little bit of progress when it comes to grieving Pyrrha.
Jaune: Will you look after Juniper? She means the world to me.
Juniper is after all a "she" and has the name of Jaune's old team. The one with Pyrrha in it. Not only that, but she is Jaune's partner throughout his life as the Rusted Knight. Throughout his whole first life. He is right now starting a second one, so he is letting go of his past.
Still, this doesn't mean forgetting Pyrrha. If anything, it is a necessary step to integrate with her more, to eventually become like her and fulfill Pyrrha's destiny. To be a hero. A destiny Pyrrha fulfilled, but that got cut short. Yes, because Pyrrha's destiny was "heroism", but Jaune's destiny is Pyrrha herself. She is his final goal:
Every life is filled with passing moments Like the seasons change, they come and go But this is infinite Nothing, even death Could separate our souls 'Cause you're my final goal

Colour Theory
to begin the process of deciding what colour I wanted to use I thought that having a look at basic colour theory would be important.
Visual perception is the primary sense humans have for exploring and making sense of their environment. Colours trigger a diverse set of responses in the cerebral cortex of the brain and throughout the central nervous system. Proper perception of colour has been one of the key drivers of human evolution. This importance of colour reflects how important it can be within a design.
Once we identify a colour, it triggers a chemical reaction within our brain that produces an emotional response. It triggers a multitude of thoughts, memories and associations with people, places and events. This all happens under our conscious awareness.
All colours create a specific mood. Having people in the most receptive mood is essential to their engagement with your design.
Selecting a colour or colour scheme for a design or brand must represent the audience's emotional associations and desires.
The three most important things to consider when deciding on a colour or colour scheme are the target audience, the culture and the archetype of what you are designing for.
With a closer look at colour theory and its importance, I wanted to look closer at what each colour signifies.
Red: it is a warm colour that is one of the most striking, stirring colours. Often used for stop signs, sale tags and call-to-action buttons. It can trigger both positive and negative emotions.
Blue: it is a cool colour known for evoking feelings of serenity and dependability. It also transmits trust and a sense of calm. It is a common colour for infographics. The wrong shade of blue however will make the audience feel sad and cold.
Yellow: It represents youthfulness, happiness, fun and sunshine. Different cultures also perceive colour as prosperity and joy. It can be powerful to use as a complement to darker colours. Darker yellows can make people feel ill or sickly, and can even evoke feelings of depression and sadness. Yellows connotations of optimism, happiness, and creativity.
Green: it makes us think of eco-friendly branding and the concept of 'going green'. We associate green with nature, it is refreshing, healthy and resembles growth. Different shades and tints can elicit opposite connotations, green can transmit both health and sickness, luck and envy.
Orange: It immediately attracts attention, hence its application for traffic cones. Its brightness inspires innovation, excitement and confidence. Orange is often used with grounding colours to add balance- blues, black or brown. Its negative connotations can be frustration, deprivation and immaturity.
Black: it is elegant and sophisticated with connotations of wealth and class. Black is a powerful colour associated with luxury and power. Luxury brands often use it in combination with white for a minimalist look.
White: Where black is the absorption of all light, white is the reflection and highlights the absence of any colour. It is associated with purity, cleanliness, and innocence. However, when poorly executed, it can feel lazy and bland. White can also evoke emptiness and isolation.
Purple: historically, the colour purple has been considered luxurious. Purple lends itself well to brands that want to convey a feeling of class, sophistication, and prestige. It can also stir feelings of excess and extravagance. Purple shades can be moody, but tints can provide a feminine touch.
Magenta: it is classically used for feminine brands, magenta can be impactful. It is a positive colour that inspires comfort and represents hope. Magenta works well as an accompanying colour to inject a youthful vibe into formal brands but used in excess, it can feel eccentric and overwhelming.
Collecting this information has helped me understand the importance of colours and helped me to consider my audience and what emotions I want to convey to them through this brochure. I am going to continue further investigation of colour schemes and look at colour trends for 2023-2024. I feel that the combination of both types of research is important for my project so I am able to correctly interact and engage with my audience and to be able to fit into the trends of 2024.

(originally i'd planned to live-blog this series, but blasted through the rest of it a few days ago.)
so i'm always a sucker for strong characterization, especially when it doesn't rely heavily on archetypes for women and girls.
the female characters in this story are about as likely to be healers as they are to be warriors; katara is both and her desire for proficiency in the arts of war as well as peace becomes a substantial plot point. there are shy girls and mama bears, tomboys and conventionally feminine women, hotheaded psychopaths, cold-blooded killers who are kind to children and compassionate mothers who will kill if they feel it politically expedient to do so. they are, for the most part, equal players in this story; all are memorable, regardless of screentime.
with one exception, the children in avatar feel like real children: awkward and flawed and immature and occasionally insensitive. all of them show realistic signs of the trauma they've endured.
aang tries, but cannot quite relate to katara and sokka's loss of their mother, as he was raised communally and very likely never knew his parents. sokka and katara can't even fathom aang's waking up from a dream to the loss of his entire people and culture. aang himself flees from his own trauma repeatedly; his teachers the air temple monks gave him many, many tools for emotional regulation but not emotional processing, and it shows. his irritability and lashing out at the others when appa is kidnapped; his practically imprinting on katara upon coming out of his slumber; his tendency to run away from his responsibilities and get caught up in storms; anxiety attacks and near-psychosis that steal his sleep at one point; a sleepwalking episode that, while it solves a pivotal problem for him, is disturbing to watch.
i'm now about halfway through avatar: the last airbender s2 (and halfway through the entire series). and i have thoughts.
i regret missing out on this while it was airing. chest deep in anime at the time, i'd largely turned my back on american TV animation and was in the midst of wrapping up a bachelor's degree. A:TLA would probably have won me over then too. it holds its own as a story so well even now, i don't mind being two decades late to the party.
A:TLA takes place in a constructed world largely based on ancient china, with recognizable chunks from many, many other east asian peoples and subarctic indigenous nations stirred in. american fantasy worlds rooted in real-world places often tend towards this kind of racist pan-cultural stew (black panther—my deep abiding love for it otherwise—is another example) and A:TLA, a dish that manages to be both deeply honorable and kinda disrespectful, is no exception.
for every display of cultural respect:
all the chinese text in the show is real, supervised and/or translated by ming dynasty historian, research scientist and calligrapher dr. siu-leung lee.
the selection process for the avatar closely mirrors that for the actual dalai lama, right down to the search for a child born around the time of the previous lama’s death who picks his relics out of a collection of possible playthings.
the elemental bending techniques and fight choreography are derived from real chinese martial art forms. 5th gen northern shaolin master sifu kisu, the series' main martial arts consultant, chose a form for each element based on its movements and/or philosophy. the water tribes use t'ai chi; earthbenders use the hung gar style of kung fu (and the blind earthbender toph fights with her own aggressive and rare style, chow gar kung fu); the fire nation use northern shaolin kung fu; and the air nomads use ba gua zhang, a style characterized by spinning and other circular motions.
aang sits with a guru who teaches him how to unlock his chakras at one point, and his explanation respects both aang's level of maturity and the complexity of the concept as laid out in hinduism.
avatar roku’s fire temple contains a lotus-petal shaped flame motif common in thai art and architecture; ty lee and katara wear split skirts that resemble those worn by thai performers of a ballet retelling of the hindu epic ramayana (it’s called ramakien in thailand). thai (and burmese!) traditional dance/theatre costume and armor show up everywhere in the fire nation, especially in the military garb. even zuko’s topknot is a traditional thai hairstyle (for children).
there are perhaps two or three of ignorance or apathy.
names in mandarin chinese, korean, tibetan, sanskrit or japanese are mostly butchered; mandarin sees the worst abuse because it's used most often. A:TLA was released at a time when it was still not uncommon for US anime distributors to change japanese names outright in localizations; producers figured 'american-sounding' names would go down easier with audiences. given this, i'm not surprised a mid-2000s american production inspired by anime wouldn't give a toss about names in other asian languages: most americans don't care. (personally i find the mispronounced names far harder to stomach than the dollops of buddhist-daoist-hindu philosophy purée: while A:TLA’s painstaking worldbuilding, tight plot and excellent voice acting make the show's faults stand out all the more, its spiritual aspects aren't a major focus.)
someone thought it would be a good idea to give a group of swamp dwellers vaguely cajun accents. whyyyyy.
the blending (read: conflation) of cultures ignores existing tensions and centuries of cross-pollination in ways that can be offensive. there are many, many other nods to thai (and vietnamese! and burmese! and...) culture in clothing, setting and architecture across the series, but the showrunners made no effort to educate viewers on the provenance of any of these smaller influences. people of non-chinese east asian ancestries already get mistaken for chinese by americans who assume they’re all the same.
and yet. while looking to cartoons for cultural sensitivity may be a fool's errand, A:TLA gets a lot right, particularly when it comes to its characters.
more about the people of A:TLA to follow in a subsequent post.
