hehe ghost-turbo haunting felix au
turbo is connected to the last piece of his code in the whole arcade - a trophy he gifted to felix in mid 80s as a symbol of him genuinely caring about their relationships on par with being the best racer. felix also gave him one of his medals and both kept their gifts next to other rewards, but when roadblasters and turbotime were unplugged, the medal was gone with everything else
now, after burning in cola-lava turbo is basically dead, but scraps of his code still were intertwined with the trophy (after all, it was his first winner's cup, but felix never knew about it), giving turbo an opportunity to exist as a shadow incapable of interacting with anything and anyone besides felix, who kept the trophy even after the roadblasters incident

Things I make for myself when insomnia kicks in
Just a chart about what I wanna change up and keep consistent in my art - I mainly wanna draw Raph with a tail because he deserves one, it fits too well. Donnie gets a long tail too because I didn’t realize how dino-like he looks until I gave him one, and now it’s a must for me haha.

it would genuinely be hilarious because people would think its probably burnice who can dance the best but no. lighter and his footwork are UNMATCHED and maybe it’s because he can fight but something deep down inside of me believes that he has watched a few romantic scenes.
he’s also a visual learner so he would need you to show him and then guide him through it. he picks it up REALLY fast, finding similarities between dancing and throwing hands. one step into another, your hand in his, twirling you effortlessly now. the music comes to a stop and he’s panting a little. “you’re surprisingly good at this,” you laughed at him as you straightened up your posture. he flashes a smile back at you, cheeks a little flushed from the compliment. “what can i say? i have a good teacher.”
he watches as you practice the steps again on your own before putting a hand out to you. “up for another dance?” he asks, showing no signs of boredom or annoyance but rather pure love in his voice. he was always so interested in everything you did, even now he shows determination in helping you even if he was an amateur. you held his hand, intertwining your fingers with his for a moment. it’s these little moments where you both could indulge in each other’s presence, happily dancing the night away in the arms of each other.

Sorry, if you don't wanna reconnect why would you even mention your supposed apache or whatever ancestry. If you aren't connecting to the tribe what does it even matter. 'I find it interesting' so you're using supposed native ancestry as a fun fact to make you look more interesting? How is that different than any other 'great grandma cherokee princess' person. Especially since you apparently have time to research the history of all your ancestral cultures but you don't have time to do genealogy
And of course when I tell them 'assume the stories are fake until you've got actual proof' they block me.

still haven't moved on from zane in this episode (aka I hit tag limit again and am unhappy about it)
#alek insanity#not gonna main tag this but prepare for a tiny rant#home is actually really good zane characterization and its super cool to me how it holds up to this day#s1 characterization is very specific to me because the behaviors displayed by the ninja there (mostly) isnt bc thats how they really are but#its due to societal pressure. cole originally being more 'stone faced tough guy' -> 'down to earth' -> 'really sensible easy to talk to guy'#is because hes always been a sensitive guy... but he felt he couldnt express that true version of himself. thats the whole thing behind his#true potential. jay going from s1 -> s6 -> now is less of societal pressure and more teenager figuring himself out but it still applies. ish#seeing how much the ninja have changed or grown from then to now is amazing because back then they all wore masks. they didnt know each#other all that well. but theyve gained that comfortability with each other and also have grown and matured as people#some seasons / eps characterization for certain people im not a fan of (lloyds random misogyny arc in s13) but i mean the overall trend here#and then there is zane. zane in home was pretty dead on to how he behaves now (at least... when it comes to his faults?) and i dont want to#say people skim over that but i am the sf proclaimed n1 s1e2 fan and overthink every scene. zane's early characterization is some of my fav#for him period. he also goes through a ton of traumatic stuff and a ton of bad writing bouts but why he acts so 'weird' or 'distant' has#always been a thread sewn in. he changed so much he stayed the same in a way... if that makes sense. -> ohhh the ninja get mail and he#doesnt? oh he has no family? he quite literally walks away from that situation. oh the ninja are yelling in his face and asking whats wrong#with him? he literally walks away from that situation. he says its to follow the falcon but seeing how he apologized to them by not only#baking a ton of pies (cough... the food fight is what led to him leaving at first) but he also found them a whole entire new house.#zane is unable to truly value what he does for others. insert him in s11 saying he 'tried' to fufill his goal of protecting others.#everything he has ever done still isnt good enough. then the ninja tried to apologize and he didnt really... let them.#that one post about characters putting on facades and that facade being how people really see them. even in fandom. thats zane to me#the guy who lies about being upset and avoids his problems ran away after being yelled at? and he said he wasnt really mad? that is a lie!!#him being a ~360 when it comes to his character development is neat to me because he never hid behind a mask in the same way the others did#cole wanting to seem tough vs being really soft? kai wanting approval so bad he starts being selfish? kai isnt selfish usually!#he is self centered but that is a whole different thing. just wanting to fit in and breaking free of that. zane's true potential came in the#form of 'i finally know why i am not normal' instead of 'i will be my true self'. zane never pretended to not be weird#(instert book) states he literally didnt know why people got mad at him. he just existed and it was 'wrong'. the mask he hid behind was#avoidance. he was pretty open about how he actually was (most of the time). when he was upset he would audibly sigh and walk away lol#but for him saying he wasnt upset / saddened by the ninja... it felt like a moment of selflessness. if that makes sense. he blamed himself#for the monestary burning down. so he didnt deserve the apologies (ish) in the virtues of spinjitzu zane is shown as the generous one iirc#he puts the needs of others over his own. he will bear whatever burden he needs if others are happy. at that same time he doesnt allow

#there were more tears than i thought i had left in me#it hurt a lot#but many hours of driving later and we have made it#everything is unloaded#and now i just have to go through the ordeal of unpacking and getting everything organised#my parents are insisting that not everything i have brought will fit#but their solution is 'storage unit' - readers this storage unit it a random shipping container on some plot of rural land#that has a string of break ins on its history#so i am not enthused about putting any of my things in this storage unit#but more than that#these are *my things*#i have already parted with so much to get it down to these few boxes and items of furniture#i will make them fit no matter what#they just have to give me a few days to try out different configurations of furniture and stuff#and i will figure it out#i will#if im gonna live here then you can be certain im gonna make it feel as much like a home as possible#so yeah#the hardest part is over!!#we can start to work on healing#looking forward#we move#no matter what#we keep moving forward

#had to re-edit the image real quick because the original edit was from a post I made about Drew years ago#and while the Drew thing is becoming less and less likely. character designers when they need to design a mascot for a masculine vocal synthesizer: and i will put a mole. under his LEFT eye
#its not a problem i love moles but it is funny. its always the left eye#i have a theory. i have a theory based purely off my own drawing habits. so take it with all the grains of salt#but i wonder if its because a lot of people are right handed and right handed artists may be inclined to put design elements like that#on the left side of the character (right of the page when the character is facing you)#that is. why i as a right handed artist puts stuff on the left all the time. its my hashtag drawing theory#but yeah it did make me laugh when like okay frimomen was released and i was like ooh he has a little mole and then i looked closer at#soyogi's design and i was like oh he has a mole too and then noa hex showed up. and then i looked back at#genbu and looked closer and realized he has some manner of THING on his eye that might be. a mole#i think its supposed to be a mole or some kind of birthmark. it has a line. im just always paranoid now because of#amnesia ikki drawing on that spade every day. what if he draws it on. what if he draws it on#but yeah. masc voice synths like to have stuff on their cheeks. if we go outside moles we have the voisona guys with like#mykiv having like. a circle. the target logo. i dunno. and kirune having his name <3#maybe theres also a connection to why so many dude vtubers have random stuff under their left eye or on their cheek#i think it probably comes from similar design philosophies. we need something on their face to stand out but not be too complicated#put a mole on that bad boy. or write his name there. either way works

things aren’t going well with peach. while i think my dad’s very right to be concerned that she hasn’t eaten anything in nearly 60 hours (obviously i am too), im becoming increasingly concerned that she hasn’t slept at all in around 36 hours and prior to that she was under anaesthetic, which isn’t exactly restful, so it’s closer to 48 hrs
like dad took her back to the vet today and we’ve got injections for her painkillers now because she’s not eating, and also injections for fluids (because she doesn’t drink; she only gets water from her food), so the not eating is Bad but also kinda under management, but if she doesn’t sleep soon i’m extremely worried. dad was like ‘if she doesn’t eat by tomorrow afternoon we’ll take her back because the injections will run out’ but like. if she doesn’t sleep tonight we have GOT to take her back first thing in the morning so they can sedate her or something
#her pain doesn’t seem to be too bad now that she’s got pain relief so idk what’s stopping her from sleeping#she won’t even lie down unless i’m sitting next to her. she just sits there staring out the window#her pupils are also taking up her entire eyes and have been all day#that’ll be a side effect of the medication and maybe the lack of sleep? but it won’t be making her feel any better#she can probably barely see at this point#like imagine you’ve been awake for 2 days after surgery and you’re in a lot of pain and haven’t eaten since before surgery#and are also on strong painkillers. and you also have no idea what’s wrong with you or why everyone’s doing things that hurt you#bruh your brain would be COOKED. there’s no way she has any idea what’s going on rn but she’s clearly feeling terrible#personal#like i think she’ll be ok in the long-term but she’s gotta somehow get through all these immediate issues#last time something like this happened she stopped drinking and never started again#not eating or sleeping don’t have workarounds as simple as putting water in her food#it really doesn’t help that there’s so much other shit going on rn#i’m doing a whole bunch of stuff with my phone and computer that’s taking a lot of work#but also my sister’s going on a long overseas trip that she’s leaving for tomorrow#so the combo of dad and sister coming and going constantly and also like 6 random deliveries for tech stuff in the last 2 days—#has the dogs really wound up. so georgie’s been howling at absolutely everything#and it’s rainy so my clothes aren’t trying and they’re hanging on a rack hooked on the hallway door so the door can’t close#which puts one less door between my room and the dogs so they’re waking me up every time anything happens#and i sleep during the day so that’s ALL THE TIME. i’ve had like 8 hrs of sleep between the last two afternoons#my sister always has so much random life stuff she wants to talk about and was getting really annoyed that i wasn’t very receptive#like ‘im about to go away for 3 months’ sorry i know its a big thing but i can’t just reschedule peach’s medical emergency
