In our waking life, often when I'm in tense situations due to our being openly queer in a small, red-state town, AM will get annoyed, and come sarcastically bearing the phrase-

"Well, that's a (sexist/homophobic/bigoted) stereotype-"

And it is not because he's an ally. It is because he hates everyone equally, so the concept of humans harboring ill will to each over something as arbitrary as gender is lost on him.
