Hey there, We need to cut the color for a second. We're not particularly fond of having to make posts like this,(in fact I hate it, because it makes me feel like im just using people) but in the moment I, don't feel like we have many other options.

Names Kitty Hawthorne, but you can call me arcade. I'm a nonhuman system in my early twenties whose taken up the job of a freelance paranormal investigator, more of a hobby now though, if I'm completely honest.

Due to multiple physical and mental mishaps this year we've seemingly found ourselves out of the employment line due to our disabilities. Sadly this isn't the first time we've experienced this, the struggle we've had with keeping a stable home goes back years due to factors relating to my family's....well, I'll just say it, downright awful actions.

In recent weeks though, things have gotten marginally worse, leaving us with back rent to pay, and....having our utilities (water, electricity, gas) cut off due to delinquent payments owed

This has, understandably put a lot of strain on me and our system as a whole, making it hard to keep ourselves mentally in check.

Despite our trying it seems we don't exactly have anywhere else to go in the moment, our mother is sadly, reluctant to help due to the fact my monster of a father has been stalking me for God knows what reason since I left his care. I can't blame her in a way, but it's still disheartening.

If we could take a moment of your time, we'd ask if anyone in these circles our blog is based in have any sort of information or links to possible resources or places I could go-

Anything helps at this point as I need more time to form a game plan with what little I have left.

What I thought was merely a rather intense schizoid-type episode, something I do struggle with occasionally even after the recovery work I've done-

{{As someone who lives on state reserve land in the middle of bumfuck nowhere Oklahoma, we've always been drawn to things like Missing 411 and Wilderness Search and rescue stories-

Likey because the odd air of mystery around most of those cases is just a fact of daily life for people in my town. At this point I'm fully convinced that we somehow exist in a mircochasm that sits somewhere in between the surface and backrooms of reality-

Like, im sure people who also live in areas rural as ours would agree with us when I say that if you just picked a random direction and started walking there'd likely only be a 50/50 chance of your loved ones ever seeing you alive again-

A fact I'm only mentioning to preface my next statement about the encounter I had last night. Because as I said, Search and Rescue squads are important out here, so much so that life flight helicopters are just part of the average EMS roster, unlike other areas-

Something I found out I'm apparently not exactly used to yet, as I stepped out of my apartment last night in pursuit of walking to the corner store, only to be stopped dead in my tracks as my path was flashbanged by a high lumen floodlight and grass was tossed into my face by an overpassing helicopter team.

It was an experience that had me convinced for a full ten seconds that somehow the rapture had begun, if likely only due to the fact my anxiety medication kicked in just as it happened, making my high ass self forget about the constant presence of Search and Rescue, in my area.}}

I'm sitting here, high as shit, thinking about topics that are often swept under the rug in this community, and that lead me to realize we don't talk enough about supportive parents-

While it's distressingly common for folks such as us to have daddy/mommy issues due to a lack of empathy or understanding (Hell, I've experienced it myself being only half human, from both my biological, and step father, leading to me developing damage I'll likely carry the rest of my existence, but I digress-)

What about the Parents that stay? The parents that see the signs of your daily struggle as something not human and offer a listening ear.

The parents that take the time to go through the motions with you, even if it's just sitting by at therapy appointments to provide a sense of safety.

The Parents who go out of their way to make you feel loved, to remind you that you aren't something monstrous just by the simple fact of existing.

The Parents that reassure you that you're not sick, that your condition isn't something to be cured.

The Parents who fight tooth and nail to help you get back on your feet again everytime you're knocked down, because they know things are hard right now, because they've lived it themselves.

So, to all the parents of inhumans out there who took the risks needed to break the cycle of abuse. You're appreciated more than I think anyone could convey with just simple words.

I'm writing this on a whim, because my mental health has taken a nosedive recently as it sometimes tends to do, and earlier today I spoke with my mom and was reminded of the fact that, without her, I don't think I'd still have the strength to keep going.

She's my port in the storm, so with that, I bid you a goodnight in these strange, trying times.
