more oc posting!!!

i was a tad bored at school, so i gave another go at modifying some of their designs

while im here, why dont i jib and jab abt them a bit? Click the thing if you wanna see me just talking about their designs and junk- sorry if you wanted story deets.

i call them the Crimson Collars, mostly cause the things around their necks (which idk the actual name of btw), and because they each have bright red stripes and patterns across their bodies.

Raño was an oc i designed for last Halloween, as like- a Spookysona or whatever, but I liked his design way more than I thought I would, so I decided to flesh out a story for him, and give him some more partners, which is when I created Sorbette (Originally just Bette), and Skerret.

Skerret was originally a cat, because I just wanted to give him BIG ears, but then I eventually made him a bat, cause bats have big ears too, yknow. And cats just feel too... overused imo. The idea of a cat actually came from the time i drew someone else's oc, and I accidentally made it too different from the original design, so I redid it, but saved the first design for later.

Sorbette's face is revealed here... because it really doesn't matter whether I hide it or not, cause nobody cares in the end, but Sorbette is a yeti, or at least my interpretation of a yeti. When I designed Sorbette, I kinda wanted her to be a bit different than the other two. She was almost a bear(?), but good thing the sketch sucked ass, so I scrapped it. Then, I created the design with her wearing an animal skull, and I likey, so I keepy. Another fact about her, when I made her story, I made her like one of my most tragic ocs, since I thought I needed a reason to make her hide her face with a mask, so I fricken TRAUMATIZED that girl. you know how it goes.

I'll eventually talk about their stories, but knowing myself, that's like- a couple years of waiting. Sorryyyyyyyyy

first art post of the new year!!! granted, i don't share my art here that much anyway, but– shhh.

hehehehhhooo,, here's something i've been working on for 'bout a month,, albeit not consecutively– took a few,, very very long breaks in between working on this,, but i managed to finish it in the end! am i satisfied with it? .......ehhhh? not completely, but if this took any longer, it might not have seen the light of day, so like. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

anyway,, made a little poster for my favorite fic, tommyinnit's services for villains, vigilantes, and various other vagabonds, by @scorpionoesit!!! it's really really good,,, and i've always wanted to make more art for it,, so i decided– poster! at least,, that's what it's mean to resemble,,, dkdmkdmdkd.

i will freely admit,, i'm... not the biggest fan of the fan-made logo i tried to design for it,, feels a bit boring, and could definitely have used a bit more pizazz, something to make feel more like the fic itself(what does that mean? you figure that out),,,, but– again, steam was running low,, dkdnksjs. graphic design is my passion. i do also have other complaints, but i'm afraid i already punched my one-use self-critique card,, oh well,,, dkdnkxjdkd.

regardless,, even with the flaws only i can really see,, this still turned out pretty okay!! hope you enjoy it, mx. scorpio and mx. alibi!!! and i hope everyone else has a wonderful new year!!!!

OK I'd imagine that, out of all the possible dream friends, the only one that would have some major beef with Magalor and Oakley would be Taranza.

Susie? She would offer them a 10% off discount for couples and ask if she can run some tests.

Gooey? This man probably doesn't even understand the concept of romance, let alone the complexities of it? Still supportive, but doesn't quite get it.

Daroach (bc we always need more Daroach content in this fanbase)? Probably would just try steal Oakleys apples. Could he ask for some? Sure, but the challenge is half the Fun.

But Taranza, out of everyone, runs closest to Magalor. He lost a lover to an ancient artifact, so why does Magalor get to stay happy when he can't be with Sectonia. I imagine Taranza wouldn't exactly be happy with these thoughts, and would probably just shut himself away until they go away.

... or maybe, just maybe, he can find the shards of that damned mirror to bring her back. Afterall, if the Master Crown can become a new life, then what's to say the mirror can't become an old one...

🍪Secondly! The mobile version has been lagging behind the browser game for years and is in dire need of an update. I've been dedicating most of my time recently to bringing its content up to par! Here's a progress report:

Compared to the current version, this update adds back 284 upgrades and 179 achievements from the web game, which leaves 83 upgrades and 94 achievements still unimplemented plus a good amount of heavenly upgrades. I am determined to close that gap!

Seasons and the pet dragon are currently partially implemented. These are complicated, compound features with side-effects in all kinds of places so once the update gets an alpha release I'll likely be needing everyone's help to hunt for bugs and oversights. I'm being as thorough as possible but there's no way I didn't forget some obscure interplay somewhere!

I'm also updating the UI! Cookie Clicker's interface makes heavy use of woodwork, which is largely absent from the mobile version; I've been aiming to bring it back. Rather than recycling desktop assets, I'm looking to push the game's visual identity towards less "plain wooden boards" and more "victorian biscuit shop" (something I'd have liked to go for when I first made the game but didn't quite know how yet). Here's some early screenshots!

I'm using Blender for the new assets, I might make a more in-depth post about my process in the future. Please note that these are experimental and I'm still fiddling with the look! Once I'm happy with it I'll ideally be giving the desktop game a similar makeover.

This update will hopefully come out later this year and will likely involve multiple rounds of alpha. Once stable, future updates will focus on adding sugar lumps and as many of the minigames as possible.

every summer, your families got together for their annual party. it had been a tradition ever since you, max and lando were kids, a thing you looked forward to the most every summer.

and you had always had a crush on lando, always falling for those stupidly adorable dimples and the way his whole face lights up whenever you ask him about one of his interests. but no matter how you felt about him, you knew it was never going to be reciprocated. he simply saw you as his best friend's little sister, one of his best friends, nothing more. nothing less. and it was a fact you knew you were going to have to live with.

but right now, as he stood shirtless in the kitchen, reading the recipe on his phone, it was all you could think about. his curls still wet from your trip down to the beach earlier this morning, his sunkissed skin on full display in front of you. it was hard not to be distracted.

"do you know if we have chocolate chips?" he looked up from his phone, his eyes meeting yours. you hummed, turning towards the pantry behind you. he took the opportunity to take you in, smiling as you stood on your tippy toes to reach the bag on the top shelf.

you turned around, a smile on your face with the bag in your hand. he laughed softly, "perfect,"

he wasn't only talking about the fact that you had chocolate chips.

the both of you gathered the rest of the ingredients, making small talk, "so, anything new with you?" you asked, smirking and playfully rubbing against his shoulder, "any girlfriends?"

he laughed, shaking his head as he poured in the flour, "no," he looked over at you, watching as you concentrated on pouring the right amount of vanilla extract, "you? any boyfriends i need to know about?"

you shook your head, laughing softly with him, "no, no one's into me,"

"oh c'mon, i doubt that."

"i'm serious!" you laughed, "they all avoid me like the plague!"

"well, they're idiots," he shrugged, "they don't know what they're missing out on."

you looked over at him, taking in his side profile. he wore a small smile as he noticed you from the corner of his eye, still busying himself with the cookies in front of you.

"if you say so."

"i do," he said, wiping his hands on his sweatpants before speaking again, "alright, i think we're ready for the mixer."

you nodded, plugging it in and handing it to him, "do you know how to use it?"

"it's a mixer, it can't be that hard,"

"yeah, but you have to start it on the-"

he didn't let you finish your warning before he turned it on, the max speed making the whisk ends send cookie dough flying all around you. with a yelp, you reached over, turning it off before it could make a total mess.

"-slow setting." you finished, letting out a sigh, looking over at him as he held back a laugh. you bit onto your lower lip, suppressing your own laugh before it became impossible and the two of you were laughing next to each other.

"this is why they never let you in the kitchen," you said, starting to pick pieces of the dough off your clothes.

"i think you're right," he said, wiping himself off. he noticed the small piece of dough that had landed in your hair, speaking softly, "wait, c'mere,"

you didn't have a chance to react before he was reaching towards your face, lifting your chin up to let him get the small piece. you sucked in a nervous breath, the feeling of his hand on your chin and being this close to him making your stomach do flips.

he looked down at you, tossing the small ball onto the counter with the others as he met your eyes, "got it."

you nodded, breathing out softly, "thanks,"

he nodded back at you, swallowing as he took in your face. his eyes scanning over your features, the glow from the sun making you look heavenly. he was captivated, and there was no denying it now.

he moved the stray piece of hair from your face, his hand coming back to cup your cheek. you weren't sure when he got so close, his lips nearly touching yours.

you breathed his name softly, followed by a whispered, "please,"

he was happy to oblige, wasting no more time in placing his lips on yours. you kissed him back, your hands moving to wrap around his neck. he deepened the kiss, moving the both of you as you pressed up against the edge of the counter. the hand that wasn't holding your cheek grabbed at your hip, his mouth moving away from yours as he breathed against your lips, "y/n,"

your noses bumped as you tried to regain the air in your lungs. he didn't have to say it, you knew it now. you were the only one he wanted to be with, and you the same with him.

"i know," you mumbled, bringing him closer to you by his neck, "you don't have to say it, just please keep kissing me."

he smiled, dipping his head back down towards your lips, "gladly,"

He points up to the sky with your intertwined hands, "Bunny," You avert your gaze from his face, looking up at the celeste sky, clouds of all shapes adorn it. Your boyfriend had been pointing them all out, pale teal eyes sparkling like shimmery gems. "See it? Up over there," he smiles at you, a rare smile, and you return it, and he pulls your hand closer to his chest, putting it on his steady heart, and your cheeks color at the feeling of its rhythm under your palm, your heart pulsed with his… Badump Badump Badump…The clouds drifted slowly with the gentle breeze, and the grass you rested on swayed. You could melt under the warmth of this feeling, the sheer safety and softness of his hand gripping yours. You felt light, light as the clouds Muichiro was pointing to, light as the color of the baby blue sky, slowly turning darker as the minutes tick closer to dusk, the air slowly getting chilly. The birds chirping slowly abated and cicadas singing. You scoot closer to him, for warmth, the night cold slowly creeps up on you both. The mist pillar turns on his side, pulling you against his chest, and buries his nose in your hair, inhailing the scent of your shampoo and the fresh fragrance of the grass you had been laying on. Your arms find their way around his waist and you close your eyes,"We should go home…" "Home is where I am right now, [name]…You're smiling, I feel as at home as ever." My brain: ok but what if we didn’t do that actually *develops crossover and writes a spin-off AU with details down to the mechanics of each animatronic*

Anyway what if Mystery Skulls DCA crossover?

So with this crossover (AU??) the story is mostly the same as the Mystery Skulls animated series, but with a few changes.

The gang all worked together in theater production; Sun and Moon were performers just like in canon SB, while Y/N and mini djmm were behind the scenes, doing tech, organizing events, etc. However, the crew also loved to go exploring, and Y/N, being heavily interested in the paranormal, usually led “investigations” into haunted locations. This was all for funsies and frankly, the boys just had fun going out and observing.

One night they go to an abandoned cave and get separated, and due to a… malfunction… in Sunny’s arm, he pushes Moon off a nearby cliff, tearing the poor bot to shreds. But! Whatever force that amplified the glitch in Sun also allowed for Moon’s will to stay alive and wrath to seek revenge on sun to strengthen, and eventually revive his sentient ai, piecing himself back together as best he can, with the rest of him materializing into a new body. Eventually, Djmm finds Sun and rips his infected arm from his socket, which brings Sun back to reality.

Sun doesn’t remember any of this except for Djmm tearing his arm away, and Y/N barely remembers Moon at all. In fact, all they know is Sun had a theater partner once, but one day they just vanished. Sun… doesn’t like to talk about it. He grows depressed, long after he gets repaired, and soon after stops performing to look for Moon full-time.

When he realized Y/N didn’t remember anything, he was conflicted. Confused. But once he realized he couldn’t seem to jog their memory, he kind of kept the events a secret from them. Not for his sake, no, but because he knew Y/N would blame themselves if they ever found out one of their silly escapades resulted in the death of someone so dear to them all.

Also for those interested, yes I designed Djmm with Mystery’s transformation in mind, here are some chicken scratch sketches I saved while I was figuring out their look:
