I'm writing a reed900 fic but idk if I should keep writing it or abandon it. what do you think of this extract ? would you want to read it ? :]

Gavin swallowed thickly, prepared to brush off the concern only for his words to melt away as his attention quickly returned to big dog padding towards him.

"Sumo–" Connor began, but it was too late; the dog was out of his reach now, his pace growing faster as he excitedly made his way towards the detective, excited to socialise with a new face. A gasp ripped out of Gavin as he stumbled backwards in an effort to scramble away, eyes widening as he hit a hard chest behind him, hands grasping his hips to stop his escape.

"Sumo, down." The voice behind him said sharply, causing the panting fiend to stop in his tracks, sitting down with a whine.

Nines.

Gavin's chest was rising and falling rapidly now, hands still raised in the air as if he was frozen in shock.

"Detective Reed?"

Gavin blinked, Adam's apple bobbing in his throat as he swallowed what little saliva remained in his dry mouth. "Uh."

Real smart—but Gavin could kick himself for it later.

"Sumo, come here!" Hank called gruffly from the kitchen, the dog quickly disappearing into the other room eager to receive affection, an excited bark jerking Gavin in Nines' grip. His hands flew down to grasp the android's wrists, hands still gripping Gavin's hips tightly to keep him steady.

"Detective, are you—" Connor began.

"He's okay." Nines answered immediately, voice low and calm, and dangerously close to the detective's ear. So close that Gavin had to fight the urge to shiver at the sensation of hot air blowing against the shell of his ear at each word. "Just tired. I will show him to the bathroom."

Katniss is such an unreliable narrator. She says "Then something unexpected happens. At least, I don't expect it because I don't think of District 12 as a place that cares about me" girl you deliver strawberries to the Mayor, you hunt and trade for the district, when you fell at Prim being chosen someone caught you, when you went to Prim people parted for you, when you volunteered EVERYONE stopped. Idk how to tell you but I think you're a pillar of the community.

rook falling asleep on the red couch in the lighthouse dining room while lucanis is making dinner....... they were helping out by keeping him company and peeling and chopping potatoes for a while there but then the potatoes are done and the room is so safe and warm and smells like coffee and good food and lucanis is trying to explain something to spite and his voice is low and soft and good to listen to and rook's eyes only slip closed for a moment. they'll get up to save the world again or whatever in a second just. one moment. while the world is warm and kind. and then they're being shaken gently awake an hour later because it's time to eat and everyone's starting to drift hopefully dinner-wards

AU where the whole Book of Bill and the backstory doesn't change at all, but instead of just putting bill into space therapy, the AXOLOTL also creates...uh.

This guy.

Not a twin, not a second chance, not a reincarnation.

This Bill, or "Nick" (chosen by Mabel because he's got a nicked side from le punch) is more of a "what couldve been" alternate created for the purpose of being a test or an example for the real bill. Everything Bill was SUPPOSED to develop personality wise before the collapse of his dimension...but with his memories sill intact from that moment. It's not a restart and memory loss thing, but more of a coping and learning to heal, starring the Pines family losing their minds over what seems like o be a lookalike of the evil dorito man.

Again....his only purpose was to show the real Bill what could have been, if his coping methods weren't as....unhinged and destructive. So he wasn't intentionally supposed to be a long-term friend or anything to the town of Gravity Falls.

....but things change.

Nick is nervous, anxious, uses humor to cope, and a bit mischevious (bit of the og Bill there), but takes out his trauma/guilt on art and creating instead of destructive tendencies. He frequently likes to throw up murals and run off.

He has multiple self-care issues. Just in general because of his memories and because of his fractured physical state.

He had to do a LOT of work to gain the Pine's trust. Obviously. but he would definitely get along with Mable and, though it would take a lot more time, Dipper. Because....Dipper. The Book of Bill really showcased how pissed Dipper was with Bill's actions.

The Pines don't like to call him Bill because...bad association with that name. Hence the name Nick, because they kinda think its not REALLY bill. just a less fucked up version

His powers are limited and fractured due to being an altered form. He can't levitate, warp reality, or be considered immortal. however, he still IS Bill Cipher....so all that may be buried in there somewhere.

Bro has a LOT of stuff to work through and unpack.

Was looking at refs and since Viktor has two different leg braces I was wondering, do we think he wears them simultaneously?? The refs don't perfectly line up perspective-wise so it's hard to tell but parts of the one he wears during the Hexcore scenes look like they could maybe line up with the brace that he wears over his clothes, but also some parts really don't and look like they'd be super uncomfy. Also HOW does he take these on and off. Experts weigh in
