I am enjoying the Venom au so far! I love the designs and how each Beast has their own lil blob form where you can still tell who it is. Curious about how the other 3 got free if you have yet to mention it, and how Golden Cheese, Dark Cacao, and White Lily reacted to their new roommates (more so having to share a body with someone you should be fighting against) Also, that funny image of Dark Cacao appears in my mind where he was asked how he feels about Mystic Flour and if he thinks she could be redeemed, and all he says is "LOCK IN." Gonna be a confusing moment between him and Mystic Flour once he becomes her host so she doesn't die (Funny given she talks about returning to flour a lot)

The other three ancients got their symbiotes after the defeat of Dark Enchantress, the host of all three (which I have yet to get to in the overarching story BUT I have big plans for it). They had mixed reactions ranging from tolerance to just refusal when it came to their Beasts…but it eventually came to one key point: if they weren’t willing to be the hosts, who would be a willing, safer host?

No one, that’s who. So now they got les roommates!

As for the last bit, it had me CACKLING. Dark Cacao and Mystic Flour have a lot to talk about in this au, and a lot to develop. She’s deathly quiet among her host, and shows so little signs of her actually being one with Dark Cacao that the watchers of the citadel kinda just…forget that she’s there.

Until Dark Cacao tells her to lock in for a fight or asks her opinion on something. Which he would absolutely do that image is BEAUTIFUL and I have to draw it omg

what happens while the ancients are asleep? Are the beasts forced into sleep as well? Or do they have more control over the bodies? For some reason I imagine Shadow milk using pure vanilla's body to make tea and read books at night. Pure vanilla's guards are slightly confused as to why the king has started doing this whenever he sleepwalks.

Mystic Flour probably makes dark cacao meditate while he's sleep.

Burning spice definitely just roams around the golden cheese Palace complaining about how bored he is.

And eternal sugar is passed out with Hollyberry

I answered an ask similar to this a while ago and YES either the symbiotes are resting along with their hosts or theyre just dragging their host around in their sleep skedaddling all over the place. its not in the sense of moving the host's body but more like extending from them and being able to do their own thing for a bit....and EVERYTHING you just listed is very accurate to the beasts they would ABSOLUTELY do this in every sense. Out of all the beasts, its either Burning Spice or Shadow Milk that drag their hosts around in their sleep the most cause...theyre just built that way. they cant stay put when they can absolutely run amok

I feel like burning spice loves legos because of all the funny shit you can make with them, a hammer, a big middle finger, a whole ass city, a miniature version of golden cheese cookie(or himself) and a giant life sized Lego burning spice/golden cheese cookie, and the fact you can make a whole ass car with these things that actually works too!

Or those magnetic building tiles that can be basically anything with the right parts

YES YOU GET IT I actually need to draw him with some of these tbh its BRILLIANT he would actually be so hyperfixated on making stuff and then taking it apart. He would be cracking himself up just making the wildest things that make no sense. he loves the chaos and disruption cause there are ZERO rules for what he can make.

...also he would probably leave some around for golden cheese to accidentally step on. very much something he would do

Love the symbiote au, your designs are so fun!

The mental image of gingergang trying to jump someone who's very much part of their friend's body is hilarious to me. How long does it take/how much protesting from Pure Vanilla before they realise he isn't some oversized tick they can pull off?

Speaking of other people's reactions, how's Pure Vanilla fared politically since his 'infection'? Both in terms of his relationship with the Vanilla Kingdom and his international role as a diplomat?

It takes a good while for the bravegang to calm down and stop trying to exorcise shadow milk from Pure Vanilla's body via a lot of yelling and screaming and random spells that don't really do anything. After PV explains everything theyre more relieved that the ancient isn't hurt in any way...but theyre now on edge due to the fact that there is a literal BEAST acting as a symbiote with Pure Vanilla. Shadow milk isn't too happy to see them either (he thinks theyre annoying)

As for PV's political standpoint...not too good. He's tried to keep Shadow Milk's situation under wraps since other leaders, or even the other ancients, would very much like to kill or imprison the Beast given his vulnerable state. These other leaders would probably see Shadow Milk as "poisoning" Pure Vanilla's mind as actual possession, and could lead to some bad decisions and harm to them both. Because of that, Pure Vanilla does his best to reassure everyone that he's alright, just...dealing with something after his trip to beast yeast.
