The best part about growing up is that you learn to stop giving a fuck.

It comes from years of getting shit on for stuff you like but then, one day you managed to surround yourself with friends who don't give you a hard time for liking even the most cringe of things. You find yourself in a space where you can scream into a pillow and rant about how fucking feral something makes you feel cause FUCK it's so well done. It'll become the new normal to just enjoy yourself as your surroundings reflect the things that make you happy.

Then, when you come across an asshat who thinks that shitting on other people is "fun" your first thought isn't to bury your joy. Your first reaction may be an old shame but it will get flooded out with the feeling of Knowing How You Should Be Treated. Knowing that the asshat is nothing more than a magic trick with his head up his ass yet his nose in your business. You're able to tell them to fuck off, and their words will roll off your back like nothing.

It sucks to grow up for many reasons, but learning your worth is a silver lining.

rewatching where no man has gone before and it's wild how different spock's characterisation is in this versus the rest of the series. like i know logically (haha) that the episode was so early that the show and nimoy didn't really have a grasp on the character yet (made evident by the "one of my ancestors married a human woman" line), but it also strikes me that this is technically kirk's first episode in timeline (production) order, meaning jim and spock have barely started to get to know each other. it's obvious from the chess game that they're already very close and likely have been joined at the hip since their very first meeting, so i like to think that spock is almost, ya know, giddy at this point, adjusting to the comforting warmth and joy and security he feels just by being around jim all the time because it's all so new, because he's never had anything like this before. spock likes jim so much and so immediately and wants to get to know him better and feels safe enough around him to let jim get to know him better, too. the interaction at the end, "i felt for him, too" and "there might be some hope for you yet, mr. spock." followed by a very not-subtle, fond smile from our dear vulcan first officer, just stands out so much against the rest of the series. young spock and his brand new blossoming crush for his captain and he hasn't gotten to the point where he's afraid of those feelings yet, just basking in how nice it feels to have a proper friend. so damn cute. it fills me with butterflies.

BFFR you're comparing Rick Riordan trying to make his world more inclusive, changing some parts because of money/time constraints, or just making changes cus he thinks they're needed, to JKR being a terrible person!

you know, a big reason i kinda drifted away from the phandom last year was because of how prevalent dp x dc content had become. at the time, i was more of a marvel girlie and i didn’t know much about the batfam or dc content in general. but this year during my (somewhat unintentional) hiatus i coincidentally got really into superman media, which then spiraled into an interest in the batfam and dc as whole and oh god I GET IT NOW

i have once again jumped to a new fandom LMAO ya bois gettin into BATMAN. i bought the arkham trilogy on steam a lil while ago when they were on sale, and i also bought a couple of comics. but so far ive only played through asylum and only read year one cuz ive been too busy just stalking the batman tag on here LOL

ANYWAY this is my attempt at figuring out how i wanna draw bruce. tbh im not 100% sold on how ive drawn his face but i do think this is how ill be drawing the suit! i wanted to put my own spin on it while still taking inspo from official designs and i like where i landed here (ovo)b

I truly feel like Lapis's backstory wasnt fully explored in the series

Specially with how mysterious and how much of a big deal she seemed at her introduction

Her backstory basically just being that she was on the wrong place at the wrong time... makes me wonder what was she even doing there and why.

Her distrust of the crystal gems?

The fact pearl never noticed the mirror "didnt work"?

Honestly just pearl in general! Her keeping the mirror, knowing a gem was in there. Did she keep it that way cause its a homeworld gem? She says it isnt supposed to talk its supposed to only follow orders.

AND THE MIRROR IN GENERAL LIKE pearl talks about it like she's seen it before? What is that story
