I'm so jealous of ppl who can speak other languages. How does it feel to be so galaxy brained? I've been struggling to learn Spanish for years now 😭
#butch speaks#i used to speak/understand really well#i had a spanish minor in college#but then i ran out of financial aid#and i had to drop it#and studying wasnt a priorty anymore and i lost it#i want to speak spanish again#and speak it well#ive been using babble which i feel helps#but i wanna practice with humans#problem is im monumentally awkward lmao#i panic a little bc im worried about being super rude to someone on accident#so i over think and forget every word in spanish ever

You know, it's been years now, and I still follow a few blogs that post for thr fandom... I need the last few remaining fans to know: anyone that popularized the last name "McClain" for Lance, I need you to jump into a boiling pool and you can never get out.
Maybe look up Cuban last names??? And don't use any of the first 10 results??? Do your fucking research??? Look up how Cuban last names work, maybe??? Don't just settle for the whitest last name to fucking exist, and call it a day????
It works similarly in mexico, First name, maybe middle name, sometimes third name if your parents are feeling a bit quirky, then Paternal lastname Maternal lastname. Maybe! Maybe he's mixed! #keese draws#eternal gales#oc art#oc#fydd <3333333333#he is my bestie I need to get over my fear of drawing him so bad#grips bathroom sink I Will get better at drawing for fun and letting my art be messy and being proud of it anyways#but yeah look at him he is so cute and is so silly and he’s never gone through any traumatic events ever I would never#<- lying lier who lies and loves tormenting it’s ocs#but yeah he’s half alien half human but was raised entirely by his human mom#his alien mom is alas stuck in the cult the two met at rip#fydd doesn’t know abt any of that tho he just knows that he has another mom that his mom doesn’t like talking abt#he loves playing games of all kind but especially loves video games and will play them for hours#not that he has much else to do since he’s spent pretty much his entire life living by a garbage dump in the middle of nowhere#and he’s not allowed to go fuck around in the dump much since his mom doesn’t want him to be seen so he’s stuck at home most of the time#thankfully now he has an adopted sister to play with but he still has viddy game autism#his mom has done her best to introduce him to the various cultures she and his other mom came from but she struggles with it#she was quite disconnected from her own culture growing up and she knows limited amount about her girlfriends home planet#fydd doesn’t mind much rn cause he’s 12 but a certain other older fydd might care a smidge more#fydd does like 60% know both japanese and spanish tho so that’s pretty cool#his mom tried to do regular lessons when he was younger but wasn’t able to keep them up consistently and eventually gave up#mostly because she wasn’t anywhere near fluent in either herself and she had a hard time keeping up with how fast fydd would pick up on it#they still have some books from back then laying around that fydd will pick up and read aloud when he’s bored sometimes#he gets bored of speaking english all the time as his brain is built to pick apart different sounds and assign them linguistic meaning#so reading and speaking different languages is good enrichment for him#his mom doesn’t know this unfortunately otherwise she totally would have gotten him more stuff in different languages to chew on#he does get to learn the language the stalien cast speaks tho he has a lot of fun with that#he alas can’t properly experience most stalien video games though rip#I should rly get to redesigning his human mom again at some point she needs it sooo bad#I mean her whole squad needs it but she’s my favorite so like

Okay while I would definitely like to watch the Hornblower TV series/movies I did forget that for the only episode I watched (The Duchess and the Devil) I spent the entire time being distracted by the phonetics of Ioan Gruffudd's speech
#that episode was especially fun because it was like count the times ioan gruffudd rolls his r's#versus the times that the guy playing the spanish officer (who was english) forgets to roll his r's#extremely fun game 11/10 would highly recommend if you have normal hobbies like Opening Praat Sometimes#anyways radical linguistic praxis: taking the most english lad ever to english and making him slightly welsh by phonetics#also i mostly wanted to watch that episode to see if they set it in ferrol#which while i was hugely disappointed on that front once again#i do have to give it to them for setting it in Unnamed Location rather than setting it in a real place and then utterly disregarding that#still mad at forester for that#perce rambles#percy yells at cecil scott#<- diversity win! this post is still complaining about mr. cs forester even though it's about the tv show!#(nb: this post is from like a year ago i've now seen four episodes. still distracted by the need to hear him speak welsh instead though)#(this episode does reign supreme for fun phonetics games though. if they're going to make english guys play non-english guys#the least they can let me do is have a little fun with it. and thank ioan gruffudd for his service)

AUH THIS IS SO HARD(also ty for the ask) i love all of them sosomuch but if i HAD to choose then raf would be my fav ❤️ we are really similar in alot of ways, like culture, glasses, nerdiness, height, and personality. Hes easy to project onto bc of that 😋 raf also reminds me a LOT of my little brother with their,, pre-teenness?? like they are both finding their goals and starting their journey on life, yk?
next is Miko, shes amazing to draw and i love her spunky personality ^^ shes super badass and the fact that she doesnt let other ppl rain on her parade����️🗣️ her and bulk are the best partners imo and they really just. complete eachother 🥲 twos peas in a pod or whatever
following miko is Jack, i also relate to him alot with being a sort of older sibling to his friends and a very responsible type but also knowing how to have fun.
(basically i relate to raf for his more childish aspects and jack for his more teenagerness)
and finally June Darby and Fowler!! i also like them but not as much as the kids, but still love them !! mrs darby is wonderful and i love her and jacks relationship, and that they didnt make her a bg character. Fowler is super funny and makes my heart melt whenever he shows his concern for the bots or the kids as the show goes on😭😭

#it’s like a polish person speaks Spanish in a sexy manner#I’m learning it atm and I love it so much#I always wanted to learn it so I’ve found a really interesting & profound online course#phonetics is so easy if you speak any Slavic language lmao#+ I love Portuguese culture and fado lol. the country itself is great too (as for tourists at least) been there once and I’d definitely#to visit it again.
