His friendship with Tifa had grown steadily over the years and he’d known, but never admitted, that he didn’t deserve to be in the presence of somebody who was so utterly kind to him, who would often stay up late after Seventh Heaven closed on the odd chance he might stop by. That feeling only worsened when he began to develop feelings for her, Tifa filling a gap that Lucrecia had long left behind—though she was so very different from Lucrecia, being attentive and gentle where Lucrecia was exacting, self-serving, and showed little interest in reciprocating his love or his desires. He’d guiltily dreamt of being in this exact position, servicing the woman who is so far above him that she might as well be in the heavens—and he’s still tempted to step back, make an excuse and leave, retreat into his familiar solitude and think of his past transgressions. But he can’t. Because Tifa has never been treated well by a lover, and that’s a sin he can’t quite forgive. 

Vincent and Tifa work together to right the wrongs committed by others.
