cleaning out my recovered data folder in SAI. incoming WIP wfriday part 3 + doodle dump based off things i found including, to my excitement, the shara/sofia i mentioned during my last wip dump that had gotten corrupted. turns out the recovery data was still accessible

so the bad news is that even with active effort i cannot get whatever mouse stabilisers i had with SAI before i got my tablet to work again
the good news is that, as someone who's been using a mouse to draw for 15 years,
i'm still able to make something decent-ish even without stabilisers when i try harder than just quickdoodling
#though this isn't really sufficient for long term use and sai still sux for my tablet sooooooo. back to csp unless i figure smth out.#Behold! My daughter who Missy and I share custody of!#i was actually planning on keeping anything i drew for this to a separate account but ummm. Not anymore I guess#doodles#i7 au#granting it a tag in advance bc. i loaf you alkcrab i7 au#i had an actual style experiment w aichan i did this morning on csp but i wanted her to be rounder....#then i was like. i want to draw her in an alice dress bc royal suit would be perfect. and missy said do it. happy approximately one year of art block lads
#i didn't talk abut it until december but i was struggling since last autumn. it's so sad i'm still having problems actually#sad in the like. Miserable way. i love art so much but it still does not love me rn. sniffle sniffle#postings#tbh a lot of it is my own fault i haven't been practicing the art and style studies as hard as i should be#(unfortunately that is because my entire life has become Work. Chores. Sit There For Five Hours. Play BOTW.)#but i really need to push myself harder with experimenting bc i miss consistently drawing#i need to get more used to csp too im still really awkward with the program#and keep drifting back to my shitty sai binary doodles (since sai doesnt clcik well w my tablet)#maybe should unplug my tablet and try going back to mouse art in full for a bit#see if it helps

thank you all for voting! i did this because, as i said, i was curious. wanted to see what people thought because i am very much established as a Rune Factory fan & fanartist 🫶 and
i'm not going to lie i am actually really surprised by these results! i was expecting 3 to win because that's the game i've drawn by far the most of, so i was figuring people would think my favourite was from that cast. i was also really surprised to see 4 sweep so hard! (and was surprised at first to see no votes for 5, because that is actually my favourite overall cast in the series, but then i remembered i have actually never said that here and that's just something i've mentioned on my main LMAO)
i ultimately have a lot of favourites across the series because RF has so many characters -- 4 does actually have one in the form of Frey, who, while not THEE favourite, is still a favourite! so while not correct i do have a favourite from that game. (others include Raguna + Bianca from 1/Frontier, Alicia from 2, Iris [Noire specifically, but I do like both] from Frontier, Pia + Sofia from 3, Sonja + Aden from Tides [which is my favourite game in the series!], & Cecil, Alice, & Reinhard from 5. yes i like a lot of protagonists RF has good ones.)
but as for my #1 favourite.............. from a game with two (2) votes out of 19...................

happy august the 30th! i have an update for everyone that is not, for once, a real life life update & might actually appeal to you all as followers of my art blog, for art:
i think i’ve fixed my clip studio paint problem! i uninstalled the program & reinstalled it under my second hard drive, which so far seems to have fixed the lag (which was likely caused by coolranch [my main drive] getting overworked because of how CPU-heavy CSP is as a program). despite backing the folders up, none of my materials seemed to have saved though 😅 so currently i’m manually redownloading and sorting them. which is ummm… probably a good thing, since it turns out i apparently have about 2500 of them and by doing this i can cut back.
once i’m done with that, i can actually return to art! :-) i plan on doing a bunch of style studies as i figure things out, so i’ll be posting those as i go along. stay tuned for the near future!

job has been going well for the most part btw 👍 i’ve been there for officially one month!
unrelated to my actual real life life updates and related to art for my art blog: if anyone knows a fix for clip studio paint lagging really badly please tell me bc that has been like. my current major art roadblock & i don’t want to use sai. the program is just mad laggy for me atm and i don’t know why
maybe getting my motivation to draw back was a bad thing bc i'm trying to work on a job application and instead all i want to do is draw femslash. god help me
#almost reblogged tbis a few weeks ago with an addition of ‘i don’t want this job anymore LOL’ bc i got yelled at rly badly over the phone#but i’ve been adjusting pretty well i think. and drawing bit by bit#still get rude ppl over the phone occasionally but i’ve picked up some suggestions on how to handle them from my coworkers#and i’ve learned to navigate the system enough. i try to put a lot of effort in w helping how i can#so that does work on like. most grumpy customers. bc even if i can’t help they can tell i’m trying. 🥲 but some of them…. yeesh.#anyways yeah baby’s first fulltime job is generally going well! if anyone knows csp fixes please tell me#postings

recently when i got my window fixed, i found an old flash drive i lost years ago behind my desk so i decided to plug it in while i was at work the other day and see what was in there.
turns out the flash drive was from january 2016, so everything on there was even older than i was expecting and one such Ancient Piece on there was...
whatever this is .
