💜​There is a tiny part that obviously enjoys your weak condition because it enables him to have better control over you. Since you are so often sick as you are, you have very little chances of trying to escape him nor do you have the needed strength to fight him. Instead you are one way or another forced to rely on him and you'd be a fool to think that he doesn't enjoy your dependency on him. Yet there is always a limit with Indra and it is the sheer amount of times you fall ill that manages to get on his nerves. Yes, you have no control over it since you have always had a weak immune system but that doesn't stop him from using this annoyed and irritated tone when he talks to you. Indra doesn't want to be degraded to your personal nurse yet he is as he hasn't really allowed you to see anyone else since he has abducted you. Considering your frail health though, he eventually sees himself forced to assign a medic to you who is tasked to take care of you in his absence.

💜​Indra has better things to do than caring for you the entire day but at the same time he isn't heartless enough to leave you to battle on your own so hiring a medic seems like the best choice. Since the medic is much more trained than Indra is though, he expects them to do an excellent job now that they were assigned to you. They would also do better to know that their only task is nursing you back to health whenever you are sick. Indra is aware that this medic will be your only daily social interaction next to him but he would hate for you to get attached which is why he clarifies via intimidation and threats that he doesn't want them to entertain your feeble hopes of bonding with someone else and potentially even getting their help. There are a lot of doctors out there so if they dare to displease him, he will murder them and just find someone else. He is very surveiling even if he also spends time training to see if the medic has done a good job taking care of you.

Madara Uchiha

🌑​Ever since Madara has announced you as the spouse he wants, the elders haven't given him a day of rest. It has come as a huge shock to all of them that from all potential spouses they had suggested, he has chosen you. What witchery did you even use to gain Madara's interest even with your delicate health? Surely he is joking as it is unacceptable for him to marry someone who is as weak and feeble as you are. When Madara fights back though, they all know that he is serious. What you lack in your health is after all more than made up in your temper and your sharp tongue. Maybe it is the constant pain of illness that makes you as grumpy as you are but even if he knows that he shouldn't think about it this way, to Madara your angry mood is adorable. You are almost rivaling him in your sheer stubbornness as you are unwilling to yield to your body and gladly ignore the doctor's advice to do what you wish to do. As you always say, it's all mental. Very cute.

🌑​You can only get that far though until Madara has to stop you by lifting you up and carrying you back to your room. Don't get him wrong, he admires your fighting spirit but he'll only let you push your body that far. He wouldn't want you to strain your immune system even more than it is already. Only the best medics are allowed to attend to your needs and even if you refuse their help, Madara has the last word. If you refuse to take the medicine when you are especially ill, he will gladly help to get it past your lips and down your throat and drag you back to your futon if he catches you in an attempt to escape your room. He only lets a handful of people visit you in your room and the elder definitely don't belong to those guests. Madara is surprisingly accepting of your weak immune system overall because he respects that you power through it all with such determination. He just expects you to not be dumb and push your body to a limit that will only cause you more suffering.

Hashirama Senju

🌳​His clan is going to give him an earful when they find out that he plans to marry you as they expected more. Hashirama is a man blessed with power and skills beyond imagination and to think that he would choose you from all people is a pill hard to swallow for many of the Senju clan. Honestly, Hashirama is busy with other things than worrying about what his clan thinks. He has to take care of you after all. Hashirama is already under normal circumstances a pretty obsessive man but with your frail health, you are even more on his mind than you would be normally. He loathes it when he has to sit in his office and has to work even if he is also dedicated to his position as the Hokage. He's wondering how you are doing and if you're fine in this moment and it often causes him to space out as his mind wanders to you. It can be pretty bad at times and Tobirama has been lecturing him for it every time. To allow his brother to focus on his work, him and Mito are volunteering to look after you when he's in his office.

🌳​Whilst Hashirama knows that you are in good hands when Tobirama or Mito are looking out after you, he still finds himself spacing out. Sometimes he's begging his brother if he can do all the paperwork at home where he can be with you and he has to deliver all of the work finished to Tobirama so that his younger brother can be sure that Hashirama has done his job instead of just doting on you. The Hokage is quite clingy and caring whenever he is with you though as he makes sure to give you support and enough love. He is very overprotective due to your poor immune system but he's also very prone to feel affected by your own feelings. He understands and he feels your frustration as you hate being isolated and stuck like this most of the time. In order to keep you happy, he makes sure to take you out as soon as you are in a better condition, even if he usually accompanies you to be prepared if anything should happen to you. After all Hashirama is skilled in medical jutsu too and can help you when you need medical assistance.

Tobirama Senju

🌊​Tobirama is already pretty prepared when it comes to surveiling his darling since they might be targeted due to his position as the Second Hokage. With the situation at hand that you are often prone to falling ill, he tightens the security around you even more. He is very picky as he selects a few medics who will cater to your needs during the time where he is in his office and doing his work and only those who meet his high expectations will be chosen. Any arguments the elder of his clan may try to have with him will be mercilessly cut short by him. He is a busy man and he has not as much time for a meaningless dispute as those people might think, even if he highly respects his clan. His decision remains firm though so really, it'll be no use to argue with him over his choice of partner as Tobirama is very stubborn and determined once he has chosen someone for himself. You have other qualities he respects about you after all as he knows that you can't really control your immune system.

🌊​He studies more medical ninjutsu ever since he has fallen in love with you as he is pretty dedicated to keep you as healthy as possible by not only relying on others but also by using his own skills. Similar to Madara he expects you not be reckless though by pushing your limits and he is going to be quite strict about any instructions he or your other medics give you as those are given for you to feel better and not for you to ignore them and risk to make everything even worse. Don't be too stubborn. If you have work that you still want to continue even despite your constantly ill health, Tobirama does his best to find a way to enable you to do work even when you are ill. Surely you can do some paperwork from home too if you are too sick to go outside. He's actually very mindful to never insult you for your sick body as he knows that no one is more frustrated about it than you are and is very pissed if someone were to insult you for it.

Tsunade Senju

🐌​Tsunade is going to be just like her grandfather quite the mother hen as she is almost constantly making a fuss over your sick condition. Since she is a medic, the best one to exist next to the pupils she is personally training, she is also very fixated on being the one to cater to your health and to your needs. This desire to take care of you stands in conflict to her position as the Fifth Hokage as she also has other work to do. It needs the combined power of Shizune and Sakura to see it through that she does her paperwork instead of only spending her time with you whilst her two students keep an eye on you in the meantime. They know that their sensei is very sceptical to let someone else take care of you aside from her so it is always the easiest to promise Tsunade that they will look out for you as Tsunade trusts both of her students. She is quite prone to be a tad bit more unproductive though as she is with her mind constantly by you. The fine lady is maybe a tiny bit paranoid about your condition.

🐌​Whilst there is an aspect of dependence that you automatically have as you have to rely on her as your medic, Tsunade doesn't find herself enjoying this as much as some others could. She is a doctor after all who is dedicated to nurse her patients back to health and she has enough experience to know that a immune system as weak as yours can be dangerous if you were to catch a serious illness. So you often find yourself in a room in the hospital which is sanitised to lower to risk of any bacteria finding their way to you as well as limited to only a few visitors. Her heart breaks to see you so sad and lonely though so she starts searching for a way to boost your immune system somehow. She even promises you to create a medicine or a jutsu to help you and that promise she has made to you is from that day on a pressure and determination constantly on her mind as she spends hours reading books and thinking about how to go about this. She just wants to make you happy after all.

Pain

🌧️​Not only do you happen to have a very weak immune system but you also just happen to be stuck in a cold tower in a city where the rain has never really stopped. Truly, everything just appears to be against you as you are knocked down with one fever after another and constantly suffer from something. Nagato doesn't exactly have any expertise to take the role as a medic. He has wrecked his own body beyond repair and mostly interacts with you through one of the other bodies, mainly through Yahiko's. Whilst he can keep his composure when he uses one of the other bodies of pain, his real body certainly panics at times when he comes to learn just how severely he underestimated your frail health. He was too focused on his own possessive desires when he took you as Pain and whilst he doesn't regret the act of abducting you, he is worried about how little he is actually prepared for your constant sick condition. Worst is that he is very unwilling to let anyone else besides Konan see you.

🌧️​So all the work has to fall upon Konan and his other bodies who have to get the medicine and everything else that is needed to cure you somewhat back to health. Nagato is actually worried but that concern he feels will come over as pure intimidation and forceful gestures in all of the pther bodies of Pain who force every medicine down your throat and completely isolate you within the walls of your room to lower the risk of you falling ill once again. His bodies see it through that your room is kept warm when she comments that your room isn't exactly heated and that the constant rain has made the air quite chilly. Within a few days you get a lot of blankets and other stuff to keep you warm and it would be laughable if you wouldn't have one of his bodies observing you as often as they do. It is creepy and uncomfortable even if Nagato is just intending to be more attentive by letting one of the bodies of Pain constantly watch over you. He just wants to be in control of the situation and prevent you to get even worse.

Shisui Uchiha

🍂​You truly make it not easy for him to balance his life out the right way. Being obsessed with you is one thing but having a darling who is so prone to all illnesses is another thing that is making it even harder on his part. Shisui grows much more protective over you thanks to your weak condition and this doesn't mash well because he is a part of the Anbu and is often away on missions. He feels very conflicted, torn apart between the duty for his village and the dedication he harbors for you. He knows that he can't leave the Anbu though because a lot of people would have objections and he doesn't want to drag you into any unnecessary drama as you have already enough to deal with. Instead he just makes sure to have you surrounded by competent medics and if you don't have that just yet he makes sure to have a word with the Hokage to request him to assign some good doctors to you. Shisui just needs to be able to know that you are in good hands when he is away on missions.

🍂​He feels constantly like he wants to hover over you as he feels very protective but he knows that he has to be tactful about it as he is very careful to give no one even the slightest doubt that his feelings for you could be something much more dark. That certainly doesn't stop him from stalking you though at night but you are probably too exhausted to notice the shadow on the roof of your house who slowly makes sure to take a look inside your window. Even if you were to notice him, he would be gone within the blink of an eye which would make you dismiss it as nothing but your sick imagination. He's very sweet and attentive when he visits you, sympathetic for your obvious frustration as you are constantly sheltered due to being so physically prone to everything. At times you beg him to take you outside as you are sometimes days on end stuck in your house and your bed and whilst his heart aches a bit for you when he sees you so saddened, he is not as careless as to risk only worsening your condition. Just be patient for a bit longer.

Itachi Uchiha

🍡​It is safe to say that Itachi has known about your feeble health long before he has kidnapped you. How couldn't he? It has caused him on numerous occasions to hesitate whenever his darker urges got the better of him. Ultimately he still gave in to his obsession but not without at least a bit of preparation. The whole cottage where he keeps you from that day on is filled with medicine, herbs and everything else he has been able to gather by learning through stalking what the doctor in your former village has always prescripted you to use. Nevertheless though Itachi feels somewhat overwhelmed. On the one hand he has to work for the Akatsuki and missions can take him weeks but now there is also you who needs attention and care due to your constant relapse of health. Itachi is stuck in an organisation he can't leave because it could endanger you but he also doesn't want to leave you alone if he really is gone for a long time. Not like you would care if he would be gone as you are very skittish around him after the abduction.

🍡​Sometimes he uses shadow clones to stay back and take care of you although there is always the risk that the jutsu may undo itself, either because of his choice or because of another factor. At least it can give him a certain amount of peace as you are in the care of one of his clones who feels about you exactly the same as he does. As soon as he undoes the jutsu, he always receives all of the memories his clone has made and is up to date with your current condition. Whenever Itachi is home though, he spends the majority of his time catering to whatever illness you have been taken down with. You may fear that he might be annoyed as he is a notorious criminal but catering to your needs grounds him and gives him a routine to his life that he appreciates. He knows he shouldn't feel this way since you are always ill but there is a joy inside of him he knows he shouldn't have. Maybe it is the isolation he has put himself through that is talking out of him but there is happiness he feels for being able to provide to the person he loves so much.

Sasuke Uchiha

💙​There are going to be some unkind words directed against you every once in a while as Sasuke sometimes feels quite drained from your weak health condition as well. You always require special needs and his journey is often put on hold whenever you come down with the next illness he doesn't even know where you got it from. Of course his mood is sometimes strained about it but if you even suggest for a moment that he should probably leave you behind, he will very quickly make you shut up. Despite all of the troubles you put him through, he will never abandon you. Sasuke is far too possessive, controlling and loyal to ever do that to you. Especially since your health is so utterly frail would he never allow to leave you unattended and in the care of someone else. He relies on medics for the majority of the time but he soon starts picking up on some medical jutsus himself, not only to be prepared in case you should fall ill or injure yourself somewhere where no medics are around but also to take better care of you by himself.

💙​What he can find in some moments annoying, Sasuke can enjoy in other moments just as much. There is an undeniable level of dependency you have on him over time and sometimes he can't help but be smug enough to rub this under your nose. He ignores the fact that he is the one who has dragged you onto this journey in the first place because it is much more efficient for his own ego to remind you that without his help and protection you wouldn't be able to survive on your own. Not when you are constantly as weak and sickly as you are. If you should catch something very serious, Sasuke stops in the closest town to let you rest in a proper bed until he deems you to be fit enough to continue with the journey. Your common state of sickness has made him much more protective and overbearing as he has to constantly check on your current health status and never allows you to leave his vision because even the simplest thing could trigger your immune system.

I love this question, especially because of the concept of being a teammate, basically being the third member of team 7, since I think that another female character should have been the tri-lead and not Sakura (It's not that I dislike Sakura, in fact, I feel that she is a character with a lot of potential but undervalued by her author who only went out of her way to develop Sasuke. Sakura is a wasted potential like almost all the women in the series, which It makes me think that Kishi doesn't know how to write women… or he's lazy because they aren't Uchihas or Sasuke)

In fact, I am thinking in the future of making a fic with a team 7 made up of Sasuke, Naruto and Hinata, since they are the respective reincarnations of Indra, Asura and the descendant of Hamura, but that will be for another post

Well, here I am going to develop Naruto in his early age, that is, Naruto from the first part of the series, it does not include shippuden, the last and I will pretend that Boruto does not exist (don't ask me questions about Boruto, I didn't see the series and I am not interested beyond the concept of Boruto's visual power but only because it would be a development of the byakugan not because I am interested in the character), so here we will see the child version of a twelve-year-old yandere Naruto (if I remember correctly, that's how old he was at that time) until he leaves the village with Jiraiya, keeping this in mind, let's continue

basically what I want to say here is that he would turn yandere for literally anyone who pays him the slightest bit of attention and above all, this is key, who treats him well

I'm not talking about great charitable gestures or kindness, I'm talking about treating him with cordiality, basically the first principle of a decent human being (yes, that's how badly he's been treated)

He would trust you 100% if you approached and proposed to be his friend (let's remember part of a flashback in some filler chapter where he went into a dangerous forest to look for a kunai from an enemy ninja of the village just because some stupid and very bad-hearted children said that they would be his friends if he brought said weapon, basically sending him to die if it weren't for Iruka-sensei)

Another thing is that Naruto is tremendously obsessive, just look at how he behaves with his teammates, that will not compare to the obsession he developed with you.

and we must take into account, here Sakura does not exist in his head, you are the prettiest girl in the village and he has made his intentions very clear to you that in the future he wants to be your lover (boyfriend, in a innocent way since he is a kid)

He will not see mistakes or defects, he will fight with Sasuke or Kakashi if one of those two scolds you or disrespects you

he will not like your friends, not because he is jealous or that he thinks they are going to steal you from him, but it is more because of his insecurity and fear of being alone again, that is something you can repair If you make your friends also friends with him

He is clingy to the extreme but not very observant in the sense that he won't always remember your favorite color or food, but at least he remembers special dates.

your enemies are his enemies and he does hold grudges against people who hurt you

He will also see you as someone above him and everyone, he is like a worshiper (remember how he thought well of Sakura? It's the same but amplified) you are a being incapable of making mistakes in his eyes

His beloved's opinion is very important to him, so much so that it is above anyone else, above his teacher, Sasuke, Iruka, the ramen guy or even the Hokage.

At this stage he will be a little annoying, irritating and clingy, but nothing dangerous, a child in love, the most dangerous thing about his yandere side would come out later when his crush stops being childish.

That interaction of Team 7 before Sasuke and Naruto left to fight their "final battle" at the Valley of the End is so interesting.

Every member of Team 7 goes back in time a little to remember the promises and feelings they had after Sasuke left Konoha. Sakura ropes them all in their past, voicing her wishes for things to be like before. You can see in their faces and voices that they are all affected by Sakura pleading...

Naruto for example insists on fulfilling his promise to Sakura of bringing Sasuke back, even when the promise itself has caused great damage to them both (Sakura and Naruto) and their relationship. It speaks of how Naruto wants to see his comrades happy once more.

Kakashi gets reminded of the promise he once made Sakura that everything would be like before, that everything would be okay. He knows it was a selfish, naive thing to do, but he wanted to stop her from worrying and crying so much. Kakashi is constantly trying to shield her from the pain, from the genin era to the current war. He also feels bad for Sasuke and how his past dictates how he feels his present, how he won't let Sakura or Naruto in easily because he can't let go of his hurt. Kakashi is worried about the three of them, so so much. Yet he trusts Naruto, hopes Sasuke would come to his senses and he stays with Sakura to protect her from getting hurt while unconscious.

And Sasuke thinks of his family hearing Kakashi's words on how Sakura feels. Once Kakashi makes it clear that it is not about romance, Sasuke goes back to thinking about the Uchihas, his own failed past. He uses genjutsu on Sakura so she won't get hurt by throwing herself in the middle of his fight with Naruto, he leaves Kakashi behind after saying that last part that revealed his loneliness and hurt and guides Naruto to the place it all started. Hm, I wouldn't say Sasuke wants Naruto to stop him or make him change his mind, but he wants to talk and connect with Naruto privately, desperately.

Sakura's words only work because they are all too used to picturing Team 7 in their minds whenever things get rough. They all carry their genin days in their hearts, a treasure to make them company.

Another possibility is that the object of your interest has indeed noticed you, but doesn’t want to notice you. If that is the case, he is simply working overtime to avoid being with you. You then have two options. One, don’t let him avoid you. Be around him until he can’t help but interact with you. Or two, give him what he thinks he wants, and let him be driven mad by your absence.

Does he feel that he has some kind of obligation to his boss? That is a harder obstacle to overcome, because he might see interruptions as bothersome. If that is the case, wait until he is not working, and try to get his attention then. At this point you might be asking, ‘how?’ Make him think that you are interested in someone else. Now… normally, I would not advocate this kind of deception, however, in these kinds of cases, a  little shock value goes a long way. Find a willing partner, someone who would be happy to pretend an interest in you (might I suggest a rather tall tactician who also is more than happy to flirt for a cause), and make sure that the object of your affection notices you with this new person. Before I get into this I wanted to say someone said on one of my posts about Naruto and One Piece that they didn't feel their was a point in comparing them and I wanted to say my intention isn't really to compare Naruto and One Piece. My point is that Naruto is a standard shounen with some good ideas and points but is overall not very good and has lots of writing issues. One Piece is a standard shounen that is very well written with fewer issues. And because all of my problems with people on here seem to stem from people wanting to read Naruto differently than intended to make it look better I want to use One Piece as an example of what something that is just good writing on its own merits looks like.

Anyway, Iruka says chapter one that he thinks Naruto's struggles have given him empathy and I think that is funny because to me Naruto has never been a character with any emotional intelligence or kindness to be seen in him. The only time he has interest in other's emotions or feelings is when he can relate them to his own experience and this is 1. never addressed as a problem Naruto has and 2. is a consistent theme throughout the manga. Not only that but he never seems to be able to do anything helpful when he finds people like that (which could be an interesting commentary on Naruto's inability with personal interactions but once again the manga doesn't make note of it). Think how he treats Inari, think encouraging Hinata to fight Neji even though it endangered her because it personally triggered him, think how he ends up fighting Gaara and saying he will fight Sasuke after saying he relates to them (not that I think he's wrong for fighting Gaara since...he's attacking the village just, Choices Kishimoto for doing that more than once).

Now let me show an example of the main character for one understanding someone else's feelings and for two, shock and awe, helping them. Generally Luffy isn't a character anyone would describe using the word "intelligence" for on first blush, but reading the manga you will see in a lot of situations Luffy is actually incredibly emotionally intelligent. And honestly I think it's kind of funny that Kishimoto bothers making Iruka specifically says Naruto has empathy when he doesn't show it at least in a helpful way meanwhile no one says anything about Luffy being kind yet...here we are...just being shown things instead of told.

Anyway, here's the example. This one is from early in the manga and I chose one that involves a whale instead of a person just to really drive the point home.

The crew meets (and gets eaten by...look it's a whole thing okay) a whale (Laboon) and the lighthouse watcher/former doctor/whale caretaker (once again...it's a whole thing), Crocus, tells them the story of how this whale was waiting for his friends, a different pirate crew, to sail around the world and return to him, but it's been 50 years and Crocus believes the crew has abandoned the whale and Laboon, disbelieving this, rams his head against the Red Line (it's a land mass that circles the entire world...listen I can't be explaining the intricacies of OP's world building just for this post), seriously injuring himself in his attempts to break through and find his friends. Luffy, for lack of anything else to do I guess (if he could just intuit the problem and do something about it without listening to a whole ass tale he would, trust), listens though as usual the energy he's giving is "no thoughts, head empty".

But the next thing you know! Luffy has broken of the ship's mast (for some reason...) and is running up the whale to stab the mast into Laboon's latest slamming-his-head-into-a-wall-of-earth wound (in case you can't tell I'm not showing all the panels thus all the explaining).

Laboon is in pain and attacks, but Luffy fights back.

Luffy stops the fight by declaring it a draw!

Well, it looks like their match isn't settled so they will have to fight some other time. Luffy declares that they are rivals and after they sail around the world (like Laboon's previous crew of pirate friends) they will come back and Luffy and Laboon can have a rematch.

Luffy even paints their...uh, his version of their Jolly Roger on Laboon's head where his scars are and says he can't ram his head against the Red Line because that will erase the contract. This gives something else for Laboon to look forward to rather than him needlessly waiting for his friends to return. And it works! Every time we see Laboon in little asides or cover stories after this he is happily waiting for the Straw Hats at the lighthouse with Crocus. (And in case anyone was wondering his pirate friends and the Straw Hats can't just bring him with them because he's a giant fucking whale and they are circling the entire globe through dangerous waters, also the sky, also the bottom of the ocean, also fighting the government, also getting flung across the globe, and various islands.)

And what really REALLY touches me about this exchange is that Luffy knows he can't replace Laboon's previous pirate crew of friends. He can't just say "I'll be your friend" to fix this. So instead he positions himself as Laboon's rival, not replacing the friends Laboon is still waiting for or belittling his bond with them (and trust me...it's a bond 😢). And in case you're wondering does this somehow connect to Luffy's sad past and that's why he's doing this??? No. His sad backstory isn't anything like this. He's just doing it because it's the kind thing to do and if you're trying to do something and Luffy likes you he will do everything he can to help you.

Hello, Gege's unpredictability aside (cause they might decide to just up and kill Megumi or Sukuna next chapter🥹) given the recent developments in jjk regarding Sukuna and Megumi, I'm curious as to what you think of the old theory that Sukuna might be grooming Megumi to be the next king of curses?

Cause tbh I can kinda see it but at the same time not. Sukuna's too elusive for me, and I'm confused whether it's just my interpretation clouding my judgment but in the earliest parts of the manga, Sukuna and Megumi's dynamic (though interactions happened sparingly) gives me a pseudo mentor/mentee vibe. And we see Megumi taking Sukuna's words as advice and even improves on his technique because of it. I find it esp. interesting that during Megumi's first deployment of Chimera Shadow Garden, despite the flashback to Gojo's training, it wasn't until he remembers Sukuna's words during their fight at the detention center that Megumi decided not to use Mahoraga. In a way, he kinda responds more to Sukuna's observations than Gojo's. So yeah I can see it.

But then we get to the current stuff in the manga and it seems that Sukuna's fixation with Megumi is a lot simpler than what I had in mind. Megumi had potential as a vessel but he is not a cage like Yuji, Megumi's 10 shadows is a good counter to Gojo and then there's Mahoraga. So maybe it's as simple as that.

But then there's Sukuna. He still remains a mystery to me. Idk how to perceive him. Gege, despite writing Sukuna with the typical one-note villain traits, it's flashbacks like Yorozu's that offers the possibility of there being something more to this 4-armed godly figure than what is initially presented to us. And I'm stuck between dismissing it as Yorozu's own wishful thinking or entertaining it as an intentional narrative hint from Gege. Cause if this turned out to be some sort of vague misdirect just to milk a reader's curiosity and tendency to look for meaning in everything then I'm up for another disappointment. This wouldn't be the first time Gege made an emotional or narrative build up towards something only to throw it to the side and proceed with the story as if nothing happened.

I guess, in the end, this theory relies heavily on whether or not we've seen all of Sukuna. But nonetheless I'm still interested on your thoughts cause I need someone to overthink things with 😅.

To be honest, I didn't know that such a theory existed! It makes so much sense that it does. I thought the theories regarding Sukuna and Megumi mostly revolved around Megumi getting eaten, which we all saw how that went.

But a theory about Sukuna grooming Megumi, as you say, does and doesn't make sense it actually pains me to say that it reminds me of Orochimaru/Sasuke. It is actually something I had speculated in private conversation with moots myself.

I think Sukuna is far too selfish for that.

Not only that. The mindset that Heian sorcerers have around power is specifically based on their desire to come alive in the face of death. Like in Dragon Ball Z, Heian sorcerers take great joy and honor in battling stronger opponents.

Based on what we do know about Heian sorcerers and their desire to battle to the death, it would make more sense to think that Sukuna is grooming Megumi as a worthy opponent. Therefore, you could say it would be in Sukuna's best interest for Megumi to get stronger. This is actually what I mean when I say Sukuna is too selfish.

From my perspective, I don't necessarily think that Sukuna is selfish in the sense that he wouldn't want to hand over his title, but rather that Sukuna would want to fight someone who can challenge him and make him smile like only Sukuna can smile when he's enjoying himself in battle.

In other words, Sukuna would want to fight Megumi to death.

I also think at this point it's safe to say Sukuna's interest in Megumi was primarily 10s, more specifically because he saw an opening to take it by force.

As for Megumi, I wonder if more than seeing Sukuna as a mentor-like figure, he took his words (and Gojo's) as validation that his sense of self was limiting what he thought he could accomplish--the pinnacle of sorcery, Domain Expansion.

The way I see it, if this calamity, the King of Curses himself, told you that you have wasted your potential, it is sure to make you think twice about how you see yourself and what you can accomplish.

And here's the kicker...

So why does it make sense that Sukuna is grooming Megumi?

I wonder whether your intuition isn't picking up on one possible outcome for Megumi's fate.

I personally hope that Sukuna taking 10s from Megumi will backfire on him as it has likely given Megumi the opportunity to learn how to master the technique considering Sukuna is doing with it what Megumi had yet to accomplish.

In other words, Megumi is learning from Sukuna. It's not a formal mentor/mentee dynamic in the strictest sense of the word, but there may be an exchange of valuable learning happening regardless.

The thing is that Megumi and Sukuna share an inner domain, so we can assume Megumi is watching everything from inside the domain since Sukuna specifically killed Tsumiki with the express purpose of having Megumi witness her death at his own hands.

Anyways, that's my hc and specific hope for Megumi, as well as my interpretation to your question.

I think we're in for a treat regarding his character. That's how I see it anyways since I am a Sukuna simp.

Also, part of the issue with Sukuna is that Gege has kept his symbolism and his philosophy rather tightly guarded. He only reveals bits and pieces about him, but it's always enough to make me want more.

I also have to admit I love that Yorozu's words just keep reverberating, so I'll probably write more about it for chapter 236.

with that being said, i think it depends also on wether kushina and minato would be alive as well, which i believe it would make sense in such an au because the kyuubi attack is one of the reasons that led to the uchiha massacre, and kushina and minato being alive or not wouldn’t probably change sasuke’s character but it would change naruto’s obviously. i’ve talked about this like- a month ago regarding kishimoto’s chapter cover of baby naruto and sasuke… let’s talk a bit more about it. kushina and mikoto meet each other in chapter 500 of the manga, the famous interaction in which it makes sasuke the only friend naruto’s mom met and approved. now the very next chapter is the one to have baby naruto and sasuke on the cover:

i just think it’s a very interesting choice of a cover right after showing kushina’s familiarity with mikoto and wish of their sons to be friends. to me, this cover implies that this would be their life had kushina and minato not died in naruto’s birth. growing up together and having play dates ever since babies. if that is the case, i think sasuke would grow similarly to what he was before the massacre, trying to get his father’s attention and make his family proud, a dedicated student, someone who minds his own business, but with the difference of growing up with naruto as his friend, being lighter and more open, but still calm, not explosive as naruto and not angry as his canon self, still kind and perceptive of others as well. naruto wouldn’t grow desperate for bonds or attention, wouldn’t probably struggle so much with learning, wouldn’t also be jealous of sasuke, that doesn’t mean they can’t be competitive. he’d still be explosive and hot headed and a bit of a punk honestly, and sasuke would indulge in some prank or another because it’s fun with naruto. i also see them very protective of each other, and loyal of course.

now in a non massacre au with kushina and minato dying… i honestly don’t see how that would happen, but the uchiha could still be distrusted by the village, because the root of the problem lies in tobirama. sasuke pretty much grows up the same way i’ve said but not with his friend naruto i guess… or maybe so, because how mikoto wouldn’t want to reach out for kushina’s son? but there’s the fact that konoha wouldn’t allow such relationship, so i think she would make sasuke reach out for him. not force him to, but you know when you’re a kid and your mom tells you to be nice to some troublesome kid? or a kid with no friends? i think that would be the case. and sasuke would still genuinely like naruto, admire him for never giving up and have fun with him… if naruto can make sasuke be a stupid kid even with the massacre on his shoulders, a lighter sasuke would be no problem to have fun k

The OPM Baseline

It's really interesting to me to look through stories with OP protagonists and see how they handle assorted bits of their story.

The Gamer is about someone whose special power, in a world of gods and monsters, is that he interacts with all the magic systems as if they were a game. Where others have to physically craft things he can do crazy mass-production using a crafting window. Where others feel pain he just sees his hp bar go down. And where others have to go on vague feelings and assessments, he can look at people's status windows to get a really accurate guess of who'd win in a given fight. Between this and his ability to just plain Level Up, he's gotten very, very powerful. I do feel like there are problems with the conceit in terms of how narrowly one has to consider "games" to not have the ability give him infinite power immediately, because in truth games have all kinds of systems and ways the user can interact with them. But for the purposes of this discussion the important bit is he's an OP protagonist.

Thing is, like OPM this series has the camera bounce around to assorted characters - be they the schemers he'll have to fight later, his subordinates and allies, or new characters whose allegiances we don't know yet. One Punch Man spends a LOT of time on these other characters, because an OP protagonist with infinite force has to be presented with situations he can't solve with the application of more force. And it's useful to the comedy to remind us of what the status quo is so that we keep a firm grasp on how far outside the status quo Saitama is.

Jihan Han, The Gamer, is basically just...a whale in the ocean. They kind of blew past the "big fish in little pond" situation, and he's a big power player now, even on the world stage, and others are also huge and powerful, and...Some of the time when I'm reading it I'm unsure what it's for. In shounen battle manga fights represent a clash of ideals. I haven't seen an indication that the wars Jihan involves himself in have the same moral underpinnings. They're just wars, because supernatural forces are at war and he's defending his side. There's not the comical value of OPM, because the consequences are too high and the author's trying to make us feel like he's at risk some of the time.

I feel like the story has gotten wrapped up in its own systems, and unlike, say, Erfworld, those systems don't bear any inherent interest to gamers (who one would presume to be the intended audience of The Gamer) because they're just bog-standard - in fact the idea that all games are "bog-standard" is important to the shape of the narrative.

Bah, got off on a rant.

The point I was originally going for was that it's interesting to me how OPM (and Erfworld, now that I think about it) gets away with spending an enormous amount of time with its main character offscreen, and The Gamer really doesn't. They do it, but they don't get away with it. Even if you're not super into Jihan as a character, it's too much his story and I'm still okay with battles between his dearest friends and their foes, but then...imagine if the Naruto Chuunin Exam arc had included a Kiba vs Ino fight. At that point Kiba's had maybe two lines and Ino we only know as "the other girl crushing on Sasuke who he doesn't care about." The Gamer has this kind of battle all the time. Maybe if I were more up on Korean mythology I'd be getting a Battle of Ragnarok vibe from the fights? I dunno. It doesn't play them up that way, and doesn't do anything to bring people who don't know these characters into the fight. For all its flaws Battle of Ragnarok had an announcer, a narrator, and an in-world audience, any of whom could step in to bring the viewer up to speed on the powers people had, the secret abilities being unleashed, and (perhaps too bluntly sometimes) what ideologies were being pitted against one another.

And you might think Garou vs The B-Team in One Punch Man would have the same vibe as The Gamer or a Kiba vs Ino scenario - we haven't gotten to know them when the fight starts - but it doesn't, because you know Garou even if you don't know the B-Team yet, and you know what he's fighting for, and you get a real introduction to them during the fight itself.

People that say NaruHina has little development do not paid attention to the Naruto manga are the same kind of people that say Sussaku has development even know the development is almost non-existent. Sasuke and Sakura barely interact with each other in part 1 as anything more than teammates the way Sasuke treats Sakura is just like every other person he doesn't treat us anyone special he doesn't treat her in a way that is different. If Sakura was Sasuke's intended love interest he would treat her differently he would hesitate to harm her in his reunion with her in Shippuden he wouldn't constantly treat her as an annoyance or avoid her in the sequel series. Sasuke and Sakura have barely interacted. There's not one on screen kiss not one moment where Sasuke expresses concern or his affection for Sakura physical or with words none so how is their development for them? Almost all their interactions are negative if people think that's development that's good then I question if they understand how romantic interests work.

Naruto and Hinata in contrast have far more development in both part one and part two ever interaction they have is their relationship progressing. Their first interaction we see on screen Naruto thinks Hinata is weird then when he sees her in the tuning exam he sees her in a different light and then her proud failure speech he blushes something he never did around Sakura ever. Also unlike Sasuke Naruto is very careful how he talks to Hinata or how he treats her which is pretty obvious for a main character they would treat their love interest differently than any other person. Yeah the development is subtle that's because Naruto is not a romance manga but if you look at the sequel series there's more interactions with them as well and it's positive and Naruto and Hinata are the only couple that have confessed their feelings for each other and had a kiss on screen people can whine and moan about oh the last should not have needed to exist to resolve their romance but at least it's more than the banshee and Sasuke ever got and they could go suck it.

NaruSaku and SusSaku are garbage ships that needlessly hate on other ships for the most ridiculous reasons I can go on the non-cannon filler ship Narusaku but that would be it making this too long so I'll just ended at that.

The people who say that didn't pay attention NaruHina actually has a lot of subtle development from the start of the exams all the way to the end. Like when he checked on her in the manga Naruto puts his hand over hers its very hard to tell, but it is there. While during the Pain fight Naruto actively protects and avoids Hinata when he loses it and there are many more subtle moments in their interactions during the manga.

SasuSaku though it is one sided Sasuke sees Sakura as annoyance and while he does treat her as a teammate that is where it end nothing more. The reason their interactions are almost always negative is cause Sakura doesn't mean that much to Sasuke, like he has tried to kill Sakura several times in part 2 with no hesitation yet they want us to think he sees her as someone special.

NaruHina you knew it was going to happen, but with SasuSaku there was always that underlying feeling he may never come back or it just won't happen. As early as part 1 it was obvious and only became more so it went on, by the proud failure speech NaruHina was pretty much set in stone as I think that was when Naruto truly fell for Hinata as his face when she calls him a proud failure the slight blush you can tell he is touched then saying he likes girls like her.

What makes it worse is the amount of filler SP pumped for NaruSaku they even ruined several NaruHina scenes by altering them and then films with it like RTN was advertised as NaruHina and SasuSaku film only for it to be filled with NaruSaku rubbish. Like seriously how nice would it have been if they worked harder to make it possible to fit into the canon timeline and showed NaruHina/MenmHina as well as Hinata getting along with Naruto's family and ended it with say they lose their memories of what happened in the genjutsu world. It could have been a perfect film if they made NaruHina a focus.

I see that argument a lot and it really doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. We don't know what happens off screen with Sasuke and Hinata, and by Boruto, Hinata knew him enough to speak to him informally when he showed up looking for Naruto, not to mention, Karui and Choji weren't shown to interact either and look how that turned out. If people (not you in particular) don't like SasuHina, just say that, lol. This "they don't talk" makes no sense to me. It's not hard to imagine their paths crossed somewhere since they are both close to Naruto.

Anyway, poly situation.

This is mostly my own wish for Sasuke to have someone that will treat him sweet and kind as Hinata would for Naruto. I love Sasuke and I have unending compassion for the horror he went through and the self destructive behavior that caused him even more pain. What makes me think those two could have more than a "sharing Naruto" relationship is the fact that Hinata lived in a Clan that is similar to his, where excellence and high standards were the rule by which the Clan lived by. She would understand the pressures, and the strangle hold that has on Sasuke better than anyone. Not only that, they were both treated as "lacking" compared to their sibling. Sasuke lived in Itachi's shadow, wanting his father's approval and Hinata was the same with Hanabi, also wanting her father's approval. You cannot tell me that's not a deep bonding mechanism between them!

Hinata shares the same story with Naruto, about being a proud failure, but she also mirrors Sasuke's struggle of "not being good enough".

I don't ship this throuple just because they're sexy together, lol.

There's logic behind this madness.

I could also see Sasuke not being attracted to women in the same sense of bi-sexuality, rather it being unique to Hinata because of their similar backgrounds, her kind nature, and the fact that she wasn't a fangirl in their youth, lol. He can trust that her interest in him is pure and unfiltered and that would be something he'd respond to, as that is reminiscent of Naruto.

So yeah, poly cuz it's hot af with these three, and it makes sense.

Sasuke deserves to be loved on by two people that truly love him despite his flaws and past mistakes, or rather because of them. People that would and do understand why he went so far off the deep end in a way most don't get, in the show and in the fandom at large.

I agree with a lot of your points, at least in part. I was being very blasé in the tags because I wrote this after watching the senju propaganda arc (tsunade's tsukuyomi dream filler) where it really just feels like the writers were reflecting the ideas of all the 10 year old who genuinely hated sasuke because he and the rest of the uchiha behave like bloodthirsty, power hungry freaks. Except fugaku, who seems like a fine leader but as a father he's like every other naruto dad (catastrophically awful and i cant stand him). But I couldn't decide if I'm supposed to accept that as how they were behaving or not (because I choose accept filler episodes as canon when it makes things more interesting)

I mean, to clarify that I'm not anti-uchiha. I hate them as much as I hate every clan in naruto. Everyone is terrible and that's the point of the show. Showing compassion in the wake of profound suffering and decades of war crimes.

Below is my musings on the frustrations behind this post:

The synthesis of the uchiha rift in konoha is messy to me. Because from what we're shown, it's hard to tell where the uchiha are being getoized vs where they're doing the weird clan self isolation thing like the Hyuga. I think im just frustrated with 1) how we don't see how the other clans are being treated under Tobirama, so there's no contrast for what's happening and 2) the weird way the Sharingan is treated by the structure of the show.

To address point 1: this only applies to the period where Tobirama is in power becase by the point that danzo is around the uchiha are an active target. I don't understand enough about how konoha works to decide how terrible Tobirama was being when he made them the village cops. I don't understand why you would give entire jobs like that to one single clan or how flexible that system is. Like, other clans are similarly self isolated with very specific tasks given to them but they apparently aren't resentful. We aren't shown enough of how they work and interact with power to see a contrast in how the uchiha are treated.

Like clearly they feel slightly and pushed to the side and maybe part of that is because as the cops they're being placed in direct opposition to the general population, insighting resentment toward that clan. Because the types of people who are drawn to being cops generally suck. And if you believe the filler, it's implies that some of them were being really fucked up. But if you want to subjugate a population, you don't make them the police? That it's like asking for them to build a militaria, which they effectively do because of course. And by danzo's time he wants them to lash out as an excuse to annihilate them but was that Tobirama's intention? Probably because he's a fucking demon. But idk I either don't remember enough or there's not enough information given for me to have a clear picture of what happened with that initial decision. Was that a decision of pure evil or was it complicated? It's more interesting to me if it was complicated.

To address point 2: I really don't think the uchiha as a group are better or worse than other clan, I think everyone in the situation is terrible. Everyone has blood and war crimes on their hands but at a certain point you just have stop the violence and choose to forgive. But the way the uchiha gather their power (by becoming increasingly traumatized with a visual signifier of their trauma level) is an insanely poinient example of how fucked up the ninja world is but its not framed that way. It's framed as: wow the uchiha are so powerful the sharingan is a gift. Like, if you ran into someone with mangekyou sharingan, someone who's endured agonizing emotional pain, chances are they aren't an stable individual because there is not ninja therapy and there's a history of people ripping eachother's eyes out.

So, i dunno everything's complicated. The uchiha aren't innocent because no clan in this world is innocent. Which makes my feelings toward them complicated.

God. The thing abt the uchiha is that. Yes. It was fucked up that no one trusted them and they got pushed further and further from the village center. However. They were also a clan of ninja cops with fucked up magical eyes that they supercharge by getting horrifically traumatized. So like. I also would not fucking trust them.

He never gives in to pleads, differently from his foolish young brother but somehow that friendly and caring attitude is what Hagoromo wants for the business. Indra swore to himself after this humiliation that he'll give the company of his brother hell which he has been doing up til this day. His brother does not wish for such a financial battle, Indra thinks differently and constantly attempts to snatch clients and business partners away from his brother.

💜​He's rich and handsome and since he has with his company a promising future, young and old want to work for him. The problem is that Indra is the borderline of a slavedriver, a very harsh one as well. He only accepts those he believes to be fitting, doesn't tolerate mistakes and it isn't uncommon for him to fire someone if they didn't fulfill his expectations once. Absolutely despises admirers, those who confess to him leave with a searing and painful scolding from him and a broken heart. He throws gifts away or gives them to someone else since he doesn't see the need to keep them and romance is not something he is interested in. Indra is consumed by his wish for revenge, works tirelessly to ruin his brother's business and days where his brother manages to snatch a good partner or task away from him are the worst days since he is especially rude and short-tempered.

💜When you catch his eye, either because you’re very talented or actually talked back to him once, he pays more attention to you. Indra is willing to be more around you because he sees something in you. He watches over your workplace more though his eyes constantly dart to you and he passes by your place awfully often, actually attempts to apologize if he let his frustration out at you and gives you more important work which automatically means that you’ll have to work closer with him. His interest becomes obvious at one point when flowers start to appear on your desk and your paycheck suddenly becomes thrice the amount than everyone else. When he eventually asks you to work as his secretary with the promise of paying you even better, you hesitantly accept, unsure how this will work out with his growing interest.

💜You soon learn to regret that decision the more possessive this man grows. Suddenly you work only with him privately in his office and he becomes furious when he witnesses someone flirting with you or you showing interest in someone working for him, most definitely ending with him firing that person or treating them poorly. At one point everyone in the office is afraid to interact with you since Indra finds out over the cameras installed in the building. Even your private life is monopolized since he drags you along on business trips and even wants you to stay in his house so you two can work more effectively together. He doesn’t let you leave his side at all, intimidates every person near you and you take notice of the way he looks at you or the way his touches start to linger more and pull you closer to him.

💜It is inevitable that you eventually tell him about his rather unhealthy behavior and the fact that both of you aren't even together. You notice by the way his brows furrow that he doesn't like the way this conversation is going. What he doesn't tell you is that he knows about his attitude but couldn't care less about it. You are already his and he won't let you leave. Initially he apologizes, offers to make it up to you by paying you more yet money isn't your issue right now. You just want the rumors to stop, people are getting the wrong idea and he seems to be fine with that. It's rather unprofessional. That is when Indra suddenly crooks his head, observes you quietly before he suddenly walks closer to you, close enough for your bodies to touch before he mumbles the question. Do you want to be his s/o? Something in his voice and gaze tells you that he won't leave you much of a choice.

Madara Uchiha

🌑His family has been owning a worldwide known company for years now which has been passed down since generations. Madara as the next heir in line took over the company after his father retired, his younger brother Izuna is his closest advisor in this business, the young man doesn’t tend to listen very carefully to what the eldest of his clan have to say. They’re family so he respects them but they’re also incredibly boring. He’s CEO of the company in a time where a lot changes for his company since after years of rivalry with the Senju business, both companies have finally started a partnership. Something only possible because the CEO from the Senju, Hashirama, has been a friend of Madara since childhood. Hashi’s determination and Madara’s stubbornness against the eldest ended years of fights and rivalries.

🌑Business thrives after both of them start working together, even if either the Senju nor the Uchiha really want to admit it out loud. No worries though, Madara teases them enough for it. During business meetings he tends to bonk heads with Hashirama’s little brother since both don’t get along very well. They constantly try to outsmart and provoke each other, Hashirama is left to soothe both sides. He’s sort of strict and has high expectations for the people he hires, it isn’t easy to impress him. People fear and love him simultaneously, something that amuses him. He bathed a little bit in the admiration he’s showered in, hesitates not to shoot someone rudely down if they turn out to be too persistent and full of themselves. His clan has tried already to set him up, he’s rejected every single candidate so far though.

🌑​His sudden interest in you torments you a bit because he loves riling you up a bit, both of you constantly butt each other's head and the man seems to enjoy it a lot more than you. God knows what he wants from you because he is obviously the one picking the fight yet your co-workers always scold you because they don't have the courage to talk bad about Madara. He's intimidating all of them yet you are able to ignore that if something makes you snap and to be fair, Madara enjoys that. It's rare to have someone talking back to him, exceptions are his own clan and the Senju clan. You on the other hand are refreshing and whilst you aren't the most talented person you seem to at least be bold enough to bristle up against him whenever he scares a newbie. He isn't really ashamed to admit to his brother that he sometimes digs up information about you or uses cameras in the building to his advantage.

🌑​A small change happens where he seems to be in a better mood and to his horror and surprise Hashirama discovers what is going on and encourages his friend to bring you over, to fight for your heart. He never talks with his friend about it though because he knows what he'll have to endure. Sadly the Senju man is sneakier than expected and so one evening after a couple of bottles Madara opens his heart a bit and talks about feisty you and regrets it forever afterwards. Tobirama especially seems to torture him with it and Madara found himself only that much away from punching him in the face. His admiration doesn't stay hidden for long because soon he really starts courting you. Bouquets of flowers thrice the size of the average, a sudden involvement in his own work, champagne and wine as a reward for your hard work and an invitation from Hashirama to join a friendly meeting.

🌑​He is possessive and becomes dangerously touchy with you over time, especially when he is feeling possessive or jealous. When you talk with a very friendly co-worker in which case you suddenly feel an arm being swung around your shoulders with Madara giving the other person a very scary smirk. He takes you often out with him and everyone knows that he sees such activities as dates. He eventually confesses his feelings after a while, something you have been expecting for a while now. When you finally receive and invitation to a family dinner with his clan, everyone knows that he is serious. The man himself is a bit concerned that the eldest will hector you or not accept you, he is rather protective during the entire evening. Izuna is a sweetheart to you though. Once you are in a relationship, you won't get out and you'll find the word marriage coming up frighteningly often. He just seems to ignore your feelings about his behavior.

Hashirama Senju

🌳​Some business people may wonder how the heck someone as goofy as Hashirama manages to hold together such a huge branch yet he is more shrewd and analytic than many might notice at first glance. He is incredibly convincing, it's just something about his personality that manages to make him so likeable and he also has a reputation for being very loyal and caring. A man who stands for his word. That is why he even managed to finally break the ice between the Uchiha and Senju company and tied both of them with the help of Madara, CEO of the Uchiha company, together. He throws a big party after he achieved that goal of his and works together with Madara and Izuna and his own brother eagerly together to draw out the best of the new partnership. It works as well, both companies prosper under the new contract.

🌳​If it wouldn't be for the light hostility between his brother and Madara, things would be ideal but Hashi is determined to make those two buddies as well. He always gets horrified faces from the two when he tells them about this plan, at least both seem to agree that Hashi is definitely living in a dream world if he seriously expects those two to get along. His brother is his closest advisor, sometimes even takes over the position if he sees it as needed. Otherwise he just drags Hashirama to his office and makes sure that he works. He is a CEO who wants to be socially active with his workers in order to get along with them and create a good environment to work with so it isn't uncommon for him to walk around and chat with them or give out a cup of coffee or sake on special days which he celebrates within the company.

🌳​Something just seems to click instantly between him and his darling as soon as he welcomes them in his company, something he always does with new co-workers. You are a bit different because he feels like he just gets along especially well with you. When he sees you, he usually always takes a few minutes longer to talk more with you and finds himself opening up about things he normally wouldn't talk instantly about with someone. Hashirama finds himself admiring everything you do, notices every single thing about you and commits everything you tell him to memory. He feels excited to meet you and when you give him a smile, his heart seems to jump around in his chest. Soon he finds himself spacing out during work, his thoughts circling around you and he misses you even if you two are in the same company. His brother notices quickly that he has his head in the clouds.

🌳​He likes you and that is obvious. Whilst he is friendly, he is extremely friendly with you, always reserves a smile for you even after a exhausting day and cares especially much about your health. If you have too much stress, he'll lift a bit of work from your shoulders and if he feels like you're worried about something, he is willing to help. It does not take long for him to ask you out for a date with an excited grin on his face and he is thrilled when you agree with a shy smile yourself. He is being extra though for a first date, mainly because he wants to impress you which is actually sort of sweet. His sudden request during the first date to be his partner might startle you because it might be a bit too sudden so when you reject and ask for more time, he feels like a kicked puppy. Somehow he manages to accept though even if he seems to be a bit more gloomy the following days.

🌳​He doesn't give up easy and it is a bit more hard to see his darker side, mainly because he is so sweet and attentive. It is only after you finally agreed to be in a relationship that you slowly see what is wrong. Hashirama is clingy and overly affectionate, he can barely leave you by yourself most of the time. The biggest flag for you is his sudden talk about marriage and, if you can bear kids, children as well. Barely a month after you two are together he already fantasizes about those things and tells you about it. As soon as he introduces you to his clan you realize that they aren't really different with the whole aspect of marriage and it makes you a bit uncomfortable. So when you tell him that you feel like he wants to progress too fast, chances are that you'll figure out how delusional he really is. The short time you've known each other feels already like eternity for him and in his eyes you two are soulmates and share something special.

Tobirama Senju

🌊Whilst Hashirama is the main head of the clan and the one who took over the company, Tobirama has just as much influence and control. He’s literally the unofficial CEO next to his brother, more than just an advisor and his second hand. He goes through the paperwork as well, meets the clients and discusses contracts with them. Sometimes it is even him sitting in the office instead of Hashirama when that man is currently somewhere else. He’s the one who grabs his brother by the collar and reminds him that he has work to do and he’ll stay the whole time in the office if that is what it takes to have Hashi finish his work. Tobirama, still respectful, doesn’t coddle the co-workers quite as much though, he is stricter, expects everyone to do their best in their job and isn’t afraid to give someone a sturdy scolding.

🌊He has had some unfortunate meetings with someone from the Uchiha clan so he isn’t exactly thrilled when his brother suddenly plans to start a partnership with them. Tobirama doesn’t trust them if he has to be completely honest yet he accepts Hashirama’s wish after a while and works to fulfill that dream. With gritted teeth that is. Madara and him still don’t get along and he’d rather smash his head against a wall than endure that guy or be alone in the same room as him since Madara makes him lose his temper quickly. He’s popular under the co-workers, doesn’t accept presents and confessions as humbly as his brother who goes out of his way to thank a person. Most of the time he just sends the presents back. He’s more focused on work and if a person is rather persistent and overly confident, he tends to be more harsh with his choice of words.

🌊Originally you were just supposed to be a secretary for his brother yet he also gets to know you due to working as the second CEO for the company. And let’s just say that he admires what he sees. You’re hardworking, patient, polite, smart and aren’t afraid to point out wrong behavior or to give your honest opinion. He’s flustered the first time you suddenly kick him out of the office late at night by telling him that he should get rest and that you can’t leave if he doesn’t leave first. In a way you are a mix of him and his brother. You want people to finish the work they’re suppose to do yet also know how important it is to relax and interact with people for a good relationship. He dreads and admires this about you at the same time, isn’t sure how to feel when you scold him though for working too much. His brother has the time of his life watching this though.

🌊He notices his obsession quickly and initially distances himself from you, unsure how to feel about this. He feels ashamed and humiliated simultaneously and it isn’t good for his own ego yet he knows he can’t avoid the company forever. He has work to do and after a while he feels his defenses also crumbling down because he hasn’t seen you for a while. When he returns, he apologizes for his absence and starts working with you again. He is determined to overcome this and hide his feelings yet you worm your way into his heart. You two just work so well together that by now you know what he needs without him even having to say anything and it flatters and flusters Tobirama. He finds his indifferent facade crumbling as he mellows out. His gaze lingers now longer on you, he uses a softer tone when speaking with you and gives you compliments for your excellent work.

🌊He confesses one day privately in his house after he’s invited you over. He has been fighting to confess for a longer time now since he feels like you two are very close by now and also because it becomes harder to hide his growing possessive behavior. Relieved when you decide to give this a chance. Hashi jokes afterwards that he stole his secretary because Tobirama makes your schedule his own, you two work closely together. More open to stare someone down if they flirt with you. He tries to keep the relationship under the co-workers professional, behind closed doors he’s a bit more affectionate. Invites you over to meet his family and actually a bit jittery about what you feel think about each other. He’s quite controlling though and has moments where his possessive nature shines through. He is inwardly startled, stays calm though and tries to talk to you and tell you that you’re exaggerating a bit. Please don’t make things complicated, he doesn’t want you to hate him.

Tsunade Senju

🐌Her family name is already quite known in Japan as the famous Senju company. Tsunade managed to make a name for herself though by becoming one of the most skilled doctors and surgeons in the world. She is a leading medic who has worked on countless medicines and antidotes and even difficult operations are mastered with her hands. She has her own hospital, famous across all of the country and even overseas. Everyone who wants to study medicine and work as a doctor or surgeon aims to work for Tsunade but only the most skilled ones who have good social skills are accepted. Among the entire stuff in the hospital Tsunade has only two people she really trusts, who she even took under her wings and taught them more than they could just learn in books. Those people are Shizune and Sakura, both women dubbed to be geniuses among their peers.

🐌Tsunade can be very hothead and stern with her staff since they are responsible for the lives of others but is also very kind and nice to everyone. She has very few days off from her work which she normally likes to spend with a few glasses of sake. A surprisingly high alcohol tolerance, on anniversaries and parties among the entire co-workers she’s managed to beat everyone in that area. The woman tries to cool her alcohol consumption down though since she knows that it isn’t for the long run good for her liver and doesn’t want to give a bad example. Also, when she is tipsy she starts to fall back into old habits like gambling. It might not be obvious at first glance but Tsunade is really strong and experienced with fight sports. Strong enough to win against someone a head or two taller than her who causes troubles.

🐌When you land into the hospital after an accident and have to go through a surgery, it is Tsunade who has you in her schedule and she is as diligent and focused as ever. Hours later you come back to your senses with another doctor telling you that the surgery went without complications and that you should be as good as new with the right treatment. Tsunade herself comes to visit you later on as well since she always looks out for you and you thank her dearly for her help. She’s determined to help you to be as fine as before the accident, goes with you over the plan she came up with with the help of her assistants. Throughout the talk she finds out that you’re actually studying medicine yourself and hope to work for her one day which makes this all a bit awkward for you. The first meeting with her isn’t quite what you expected since she is your idol.

🐌You are her patient so you come back a couple of times for checkups and you two end up talking about the anatomy of the body and everything centered about surgeries and a hospital. You try to impress her with your knowledge and she corrects you or adds something. You ask her questions and she answers them in full length. You’re intent, hang on every word she says and all the attention you give her flusters her a bit though she weirdly starts to enjoy it at one point. Eventually you’ve fully recovered from the accident yet are also under stress because you’ve missed important lessons you would have needed in order to finish the semester. Tsunade suddenly offers to repeat everything you missed with you. It’s not only because she feels sympathy for you but somehow doesn’t want to let you go and not see you again for a while.

🐌At one point romantic feelings start to blossom inside of her chest and with that awareness she becomes rather clingy and also occasionally bashful around you. Sakura and Shizune notice her shift in mood, the way she sometimes twirls her pencil or a strand of her hair in her fingers with a dreamy look in her face and encourage and mildly tease her. Tsunade confesses her feelings one day after a cup or two of sake and whether the alcohol is responsible for the flush of pink on her face or your happy acceptance is unknown. She’s a bit paranoid since she’s seen people die in her field of work and grows clingy, possessive and protective. Maybe it is also because you find out at one point that she lost her previous boyfriend due to an accident before yet you feel that she’s a bit too overbearing. She changes the topic every time, nervous and afraid that you’ll leave her. She isn’t afraid to resort to guilt-tripping if it is needed.

Kakashi Hatake

📖Some of his colleagues still wonder why Kakashi decided to follow the path of a teacher from all jobs. He doesn’t lack intelligence and knows when to discipline a student in Junior Highschool yet also seems most of the time a bit bored. You can’t call him exactly the most passionate teacher you’ll ever meet, he almost awakes the impression of being a bit lazy. It actually happens from time to time that he comes a few minutes too late with excuses that aren’t all that believable. Under the kids he is still a favorite since his laidback and chill attitude allows him to be more forgiving and less strict when it comes to the lessons. A bit of a loner, it’s rare to see him hanging around with other co-workers that often. He has his circle of friends, all people he’s known since elementary school though. But not all have followed the same path as him or just teach in different schools. He still gets along quite well with a teacher called Yamato.

📖His two best friends are Rin and Obito, the three of them were almost always inseparable since elementary school even if Obito and him had back then often little brawls. They still have those quarrels til this day sometimes. He’s a dog lover and has had more than a handful of dogs during his life. His current dog is named Pakkun and in the evening he always goes on a long jog together with him. He actually has another friend of sorts who he met in a gym, a overly enthusiastic guy named Guy who owns the place. The weird man seems to view Kakashi as a worthy competition for him since Kakashi has heard the rumors of him constantly searching someone with whom he can train together. Kakashi sort of enjoys the constant challenges though, his friends live further away from him after all and being with Guy helps him not winding up as a complete outsider. What only his closest friends know is that his dad committed suicide when he was still a child.

📖Kakashi ends up meeting his darling one day at the park whilst he takes a walk with Pakkun. His dog somehow ends up barking at you who did absolutely nothing, something Kakashi scolds him for out of a small spark of embarrassment. He apologizes for the small scare jump his dog gave you and you just laugh a bit and brush it off. You two end up having a small talk with each other, walking together since you happen to head into the same direction he is going. Kakashi keeps his dog on a short leash just in case, he even keeps throwing glares at Pakkun to warn him not to do something stupid in front of you again. You two say goodbye to each other when you have to go separate ways and whilst you were certainly pleasant, Kakashi doesn’t expect to meet you anytime soon. Until he finds out that you’re the neighbor of one of his students and almost like an aunt for them.

📖Bumping into you after that is something that just happens since you sometimes pick up the kid or he sees you in the park. Both of you wind up talking to each other often, especially after you two discovered that you’re going to meet more often anyways. He likes you a lot, there aren’t many people he feels comfortable enough to stay longer around. Even his grumpy dog seems to take a liking towards you after a while. There are only that many people that can pet Pakkun without him biting. When he invites you over for the first time in his house, Pakkun behaves weirdly much which normally never happens. Sometimes Kakashi gets the feeling that his dog knows about his activities. Obito teases him relentlessly and Rin and Guy ship it when he tells them about you. Kakashi, whilst not against the idea of dating by now, finds himself hesitating since he’s from a very early point on aware of his own feelings.

📖He sometimes follows you, without Pakkun, just to see that you arrive home. Kakashi argues a lot with his consciousness whether or not to ask you out even if it ends up being obvious enough for Yamato and other teachers to notice. Eventually his possessive side wins over and one day he just asks you out on a date, hiding his shy side very well. Dresses up a lot when he picks you up and buys a large bouquet of your favorite flowers. Guy is enthusiastic when he hears the good news, wants Kakashi to bring you over. The same counts for Rin and Obito. Even the school knows soon after since the student told the class and news just spread from there on. He manages to endure the curious gazes or all the teasing quite well. He tries to downplay it immensely when you eventually talk to him about his possessive, passive-aggressive and protective behavior. Kakashi is good in manipulating others and makes you feel like you’re overreacting.

Obito Uchiha

🔥He’s been dubbed as an outsider in his own family since Obito has taken a very unlikely job for someone from the infamous Uchiha clan. Usually his clan takes higher positions yet this one guy here, as one of the first in the current Uchiha generation, has taken the path to become a teacher in an elementary school. Some suspect it’s because his best friend Kakashi has become a teacher himself or because his other best friend and previous childhood love Rin is a nurse at a hospital. Maybe it is partially true but the power positions his clan is expected to take never spoke to this Uchiha. He’s always been more goofy and lighthearted and even if he had potential to become someone big, the interest just wasn’t there. He’s happier now that he’s escaped the toxic environment of his clan and adores his job as a teacher.

🔥Initially he struggles a bit since his family kind of bans him for a while and some are iffy to let their children be taught by him, an Uchiha. He kind of gets discouraged by it, Kakashi and Rin are usually instantly on the phone or plan a meeting to cheer him up. The man is determined to get along with everyone though, even if many are still intimidated by him. So he just works even harder for approval and it isn’t long until the first children start to take a liking to him since he introduces a lot of fun to the class. Obito loves children so he is extremely protective and goes very easy on them. Eventually, after a lot of arguing between some of the other Uchiha members, he is being re-accepted into his clan. He isn’t exactly thrilled nor mad about it, Obito stays neutral about the whole thing. He’s a rebel, wants to prove that he can earn his own money and live his perfect life without the help of his clan and their influence.

🔥You work as a nurse and partially also a teacher on the elementary school and somehow Obito is just struck the first time he sees you. Your warm smile has his heart going dokey-dokey for a moment and his face heats up. You tend to remind him a lot of Rin, especially since both of you have chosen similar jobs and that brings back bittersweet memories of the time Rin rejected him and his love. Eventually he decides that he can’t dwell on the past though and it is rude how he constantly tries to avoid you at first. So he gathers the courage to apologize and make it up over a cup of tea. His words fail him though the moment you two lock eyes and incoherent sentences come out of his mouth. Through a miracle you manage to understand him and accept, making his heart flutter even more in his chest.

🔥This cup of tea and sweets is a amazing time for him and he hopes that you feel the same. He likes it in fact so much that he asks you soon again. He’s soon after inseparable from you and when one of his students ends up getting hurt, he always comes instantly to you since he knows that you’ll be able to help. If he happens to injure himself, he also comes to you. He’s sure it’s love at one point since he absolutely adores you. His obvious crush is something he gets teased over daily. His co-workers sometimes throw remarks his way and his students ask him often when you two are going to get married. It’s especially embarrassing if you are near him and hear it all. He knows that he wants you to be his partner though so he ends up practicing his confession. In front of a mirror, in front of his friends and in his head. He’s highly nervous, afraid you’ll reject him like Rin since you only see him as a friend as well. The first rejection stung already bad enough.

🔥He’s over the moon when you accept and even if he doesn’t outright tell anyone, everyone kind of knows why he’s in such a jovial mood all of a sudden. Kakashi and Rin find out as the first persons and both congratulate their friend for his achievement. Suddenly he’s glued even more to your side whenever he doesn’t have to teach his class and he has high troubles not showing too much PDA during work since it might be seen as inappropriate. As soon as work is over though he latches himself on you with his affection. Clingy and lightly paranoid over his s/o because he fears that he might not be good enough. Even if he’s gotten over his clan for the biggest part, sometimes their mocking and humiliation from the past due to his take on life still gets to him. If his darling hints that they find his behavior sometimes disturbing, he ends up guilt-tripping them with his past and the death of his parents when he was still a child. Dreams of marrying you and having a family with you.

Shisui Uchiha

🍂He’s always been a rather talented guy, even among his clan. If the public hears the name Shisui Uchiha, they usually instantly think of the policeman and detective that has been involved in a lot of difficult cases in this country. He’s shrewd and smart, some even say he has some sort of third eye since he can read people terrifyingly well. Shisui just knows from the subtle body language, eye contact and tone of the voice if someone is lying or not and connects loose dots quickly together. Originally he used to work under another Uchiha in the police but climbed the ranks quickly and created his own task force only a few years after. He has a very distinct sense for justice and has seen that even under police and the “good guys” corruption and evil doings are possible so he wants his task force to be different. That’s the reason why he’s known for being picky when recruiting people for his team.

🍂His clan is proud of him for what he achieved but is somewhat shocked when Shisui builds an independent task force. The reason for that is that Shisui isn’t exactly too fond of the way his clan tends to do things. He’s experienced the arrogance some of the members express even as police officers and whilst he doesn’t want to abandon his clan, he’d rather choose a slightly independent road. Shisui has some good friends among the Uchiha after all and holds his clan still very dear to his heart. He just wishes for some changes within the clan and works together with some other members on improvements. He was one of the Uchiha who voiced out his disagreement to completely drop Obito Uchiha and gets along well with him whenever he visits him. Shisui admires Obito since it is hard and takes guts to not fulfill the expectations of the Uchiha and follow one’s own dream.

🍂When you move in as his new neighbor, you’ve already heard quite a lot from your well-known neighbor Shisui Uchiha. You’re curious to see him for once but sadly you are busy with work and he as well so you don’t run in him the first week. It isn’t until one late evening where you finally meet him whilst trying to drag bags filled with groceries to your apartment. He offers to help you when he sees you struggle and you, flustered and surprised, obviously let him help. He isn’t what you expected him to be since he seems quite humble, gives you a amicable smile and apologizes even for not introducing himself sooner. You two are going to be neighbors from now on after all, he should have come around sooner. He hopes both of you will get along well. Occasionally you bump into him, it doesn’t happen often though since he’s really busy with work at times.

🍂He doesn’t expect you one day to suddenly knock on his door and bring him his favorite sweets. You’ve noticed his increased stress, just wanted to do something nice for him and tell him that if he needs help, he shouldn’t hesitate to call you. Shisui is weirdly touched, it isn’t everyday someone offers him help. His clan sort of expects him to be able to handle himself. He never tells it anyone except maybe Itachi, but sometimes he feels kind of lonely with the life he leads. His whole life wasn’t the one a average person leads so he wants to give it a try now with you by having a friendly relationship. You seem nice and sincere enough. What starts out as a careful attempt to test your friendliness soon turns into shared meals together on several days a week when he has the time. When he is with you, he feels like he is just a normal person and he loves that feeling a lot.

🍂You never notice anything, not even when he takes you one day out and confesses that he’s fallen in love with you. Throughout all dates and your eventual acceptance you never notice either. How could you when he is so charming and dotting at first? Shisui himself is uncomfortable with the position he’s in, with feelings crossing the borderline of obsession. Stalking you because you’re his neighbor, using tools like wires and cameras to hear and watch you sometimes even in your apartment, accompanying you sometimes and using his power to shoo away other people. He never wanted the situation escalate to this level, never wanted to manipulate you and use his skills to his advantage against you. The scariest thing is that he seems to accept it all so calmly though even if he feels guilty. It’s hard to see through him yet he notices your suspicion long before you voice it out and cools his behavior instantly down. He’s afraid of what he might do if you’d really try to leave him.

Itachi Uchiha

🍡Where exactly did it go wrong? This is a question many members of the Uchiha, including Fugaku, ask themselves when Itachi decides to leave the company and any power position. He’s a genius, much like Shisui. Finished school at a really young age and initially did join his father in the police apartment. Everyone had high hopes for him, his father thought that one day he’d probably take over his job as the head of the police apartment. Instead the unthinkable happened when Itachi one day declared he’d leave the clan, neglect any of their offered occupations for him and pursue his own dream. It was an Obito scenario all over again and especially since Itachi is such a talented man, this was a slap in the face for everyone. His father was indignant and tried to forcefully persuade him into staying, just like the rest of the clan. The only people who had his back and still do are Mikoto, Izumi, Shisui, Sasuke and Obito.

🍡He’s gotten tired of all the surface pressure, the greed for power from so many members of his clan. He longs for a peaceful life, a normal life. He opens his own tea and sweets shop a little bit more than a year after his departure from the police. He doesn’t care if his family thinks that he’s being silly, he enjoys the small and peaceful life. Obviously he serves Dango in that shop, he loves those to bits after all. Despite being the owner, he is often seen working with the staff as well and serving tea and sweets. He’s very aware that some customers just come to see an Uchiha, especially since they have a reputation for being handsome. That’s something to be expected though. He’s happy when his friends and the people who support him come and visit him. Whilst being technically out of business, his brother and Shisui sometimes seek him if they’re stuck in a tricky situation since Itachi is still as smart as ever.

🍡You’re one of his most loyal customers for multiple reasons. You enjoy the food and tea, the store isn’t that far away from your house and you love the peaceful atmosphere. Itachi is a nice surprise himself with his relaxed personality but isn’t the main reason. At one point you’re recognized by the whole staff and they joke a bit whenever you enter the shop, even Itachi joins in. He never disturbs you though, especially if you bring paper work with you. Sometimes he can’t really help but correct you when he sees something that isn’t correct, carefully that is. You’re more embarrassed than you’re mad. You just thank him for noticing before your higher-ups noticed. The interactions between him and you are small yet so daily that Itachi really starts to take a liking towards you. Until he asks you one day during another visit, feeling a bit bashful on the inside, if you’d be interested to go out on a date with him.

🍡After the first date follows another one and another one and not long after it becomes official that you two are dating. He’s sweet, he’s considerate and he always makes sure to prepare you your favorite tea and sweets even if they aren’t offered that day. His mother is overjoyed with the news, wants to meet you as soon as possible. So one day his friends and closest family gather in his store after he’s closed it earlier due to this private meeting. Even his father is there, still slightly mad at him and probably not all too happy when he meets you since you’re too average. He gets a cold and warning glare from Itachi before he can even say anything and Mikoto nudges him warningly in the side. Everyone else accepts you quickly. When his father searches for him later on and tells him that Itachi somehow gave off a weird vibe and acted the tiniest bit strange, it is only a millisecond where his son stops with his movements.

🍡He panics, is unsure if anyone else noticed something. His feelings haven’t always been this out of bounds for you. Initially he really just liked you the normal way. It is a very subtle process, small to say the least. His feelings continue to be tainted though. The look in his eyes just turn colder and more chilling whenever someone is friendly with you, he texts you very often whenever you aren’t with him, grows more and more touchy and wants to accompany you to your destination whenever he can. He frets a lot, humiliated and ashamed that he became obsessed with you. Worst is that you notice his weird behavior as well and one day talk with him about it. His poker face only crumbles shortly before he regains composure and does the worst thing, lying to you. You’re too important to let go, he fears that you’ll leave him if he’ll tell you the truth.

Sasuke Uchiha

💙Sasuke stays within the wished business of his family for him since his clan means a lot to him. He prides himself in being an Uchiha yet supports his brother in his decision to stray away. He himself takes a slightly different route than others who own a few branches of the big Uchiha company because he has a partnership with Naruto Uzumaki, one of his childhood friends. First the Senju, now the Uzumaki. They’re complete opposites yet somehow they manage to work together. Naruto even wanted Sakura to join them but she is busily working together with the Tsunade Senju, being a doctor has always been her dream. Sasuke knows that and that’s why he tells Naruto from a very early point on to give up since their pink-haired friend is stubborn and has a temper. Both are happy if Sakura visits their company every once in a while though and all three of them can catch up.

💙Usually one to make difficult decisions by himself or together with Naruto, Sasuke will come to his brother if he is in a bit of a peril since Itachi has always a valuable advice or plan in head. Naruto ends up dragging him always to the same goddamn ramen shop whenever both want to eat something outside. The first three times was acceptable, after the tenth time Sasuke started dreading the mere mention of ramen. Instead he flees to the store of his brother. He’s normally not that much into sweet stuff but his brother manages to make him something that he can enjoy. At this rate he’ll accept anything over ramen though. He even forbids Naruto to bring instant ramen into the office since he eats it in a worryingly amount. The whole office sometimes smells and to be frank, he asks Sakura how it is possible to eat so much ramen. He’s sure a doctor would hate his blond friend if they’d do a health check on him.

💙Originally you used to work for the Uzumaki company but both of the CEO have initiated a small exchange program where workers for each of their respected companies work in the other company for a few months. You’re a bit nervous in your new workplace, quickly take your place though and work as hard as before. Your initial fear of Sasuke disappears after a while since he differs from the rumors you’ve heard. He surely can be strict but rather than rude you notice that he’s more socially awkward which is why he sometimes ends up saying something rather impolite. Sasuke watches you a bit closer since Naruto chirps his praises about you all the time, says that you two would get along well. After he recognized your talent himself, he applied you to work as his assistant since you aren’t pushy or even remotely interested in flirting with him. It’s sometimes hard to find a person like you.

💙He finds himself being so much more productive with you around since you are such a fast thinker and just as fast when it comes to doing your work. He even sees what Naruto meant by telling him that after a while you’d be able to read his thoughts since you adapt soon to his way of thinking and have due to that a good idea about what he’s planning most of the time. Sasuke is weirdly disappointed when the exchange is over since he wants to keep you as his assistant so he asks Naruto if you can stay with him a bit longer. He’s successful in manipulating the blond in agreeing. The Uchiha likes you, a lot even. You’re pretty much everything he could want from someone and somehow the image of you working as Naruto’s assistant and being close to him doesn’t sit well with him. Even if Naruto is his best friend. He loves it much more when you work together with him. Only with him.

💙Sasuke turns possessive before he has even proceeded his emotions fully. He wants you constantly near him, can’t help but glare rudely whenever he sees you talking with someone else and wants you completely in his company. He asks you to transfer fully to him and also talks with Naruto about this. His friend tends to be too naive and trustworthy and even if he’s being an asshole by using it against him, he still does. Naruto sadly still seems to notice Sasuke’s keen interest in you and starts teasing him for it whenever both meet up. Even if you want to stay in Naruto’s company, Sasuke wins at the end. Your income is higher since Sasuke wants you to be completely comfortable with your new position. It had to be expected that you’d notice his feelings at one point, he becomes nearly unbearable whenever you’re with anyone who isn’t him. Don’t forget that Sasuke is in a power position though, he can force you into his arms if he desires so.

There's something I want to address and it's the claim that SS and NH are lacking or bad because Kishimoto can't write romance or can't write female characters. While I definitely agree that he doesn't write his female characters nowhere near as interesting or with the same depth as his male characters, Sakura and Hinata's characters being particularly bad and SS/NH being bad has nothing to do with his inability to write heterosexual romance. We have seen him write some.

Dan and Tsunade had a romantic relationship, and we see them bond due to similar values and similar pain. They can relate and understand each other. They have things in common. They speak like equals. Now, I will not add all of their pages together because it will make the post too long, but isn’t it sad that in three pages we have a better connection, better understanding and more believable romance between a minor character and a side character, than we have between two main characters that had 700 chapters worth of time to have a believable romantic relationship and connection? I don’t even need to add all the pages where they are touchy and happy around each other or when Dan calls Tsunade his dream and kisses her forehead.

Now compare that to Sasuke and Sakura. To quote @sneezemonster15 "We are yet to see a profound, honest and emotionally touching interaction or conversation between Sasuke and Sakura". To add to that, we have yet to see Sakura say anything profound about Sasuke's character, goals or values. All we ever see her do is cry and scream how much she loves him and how much it pains her. Sasuke doesn't even treat her as an equal enough to face her whenever she pours out her feelings, like he does with Naruto. She doesn’t know anything about him because he never speaks to her. She has the nerve to compare him leaving her to the massacre of his family in terms of tragedy and loneliness, despite the fact she has a family, because she lacks empathy and understanding towards him.

Whenever she confesses, she looks angry, and her reasonings are irrational. She always tries to talk about herself in order to sway him. They never communicate, they never have deep conversations. They can’t relate to each other because Sakura doesn’t value her family and family is Sasuke’s character motivation and the most important thing to him. When Sasuke says there is no reason for him to love Sakura and no reason for her to love him, he’s right. What would Sasuke love about Sakura? He doesn’t even know her, and her values and behavior are something that irritates him. Sakura doesn’t know Sasuke either. She’s just addicted to him.

As for NH, Kishi was able to make a female character save her love interest without looking pathetic or coming off as selfish. And that character is Temari.

Again I won’t post all the images but Temari comes to save Shikamaru because Tsunade send back up, and Shikamaru starts with his usual “a man can’t have a woman defend him” nonsense and Temari is like, telling him not to underrestimate her and she proves him wrong too. She does manage to save him. Temari is a great kunoichi and always shown as one.

Now compare this to Hinata. First of all as I pointed out in one of my essays Kishimoto build up this moment by having multiple characters say no one should join the fight between Naruto and Pain because they would only make things harder for Naruto and get in his way. Hinata is also told about this. But, as she says, her motivation to join the fight is selfish. She wants to confess her feelings. She also has no strategy, she just barges in and is immediately one-paneled by Pain and needs to be saved. So not only did Kishimoto show Hinata as an incompetent kunoichi, he also showed her as selfish and only thinking about her own feelings. This is completely different from how he portrayed Temari.

My point is, Kishi can write female characters as not pathetic, even if he doesn’t give them the same attention as his male characters. He can also make them have reasonable interest in a male character. He can write them as not selfish. He can write the romantic interaction as tasteful. But he never did this for SS or NH because he never intended them to be good romances.

He would react the same way as to how he reacted after seeing the interaction between Naruto and Sakura during his Genin Days.

However, it would be interesting to see how he would react after seeing Naruto flirting around Hinata.
