I think dragons having their own language would be cool, like with words and sounds or even body language that only dragons can make or preform (like an animal noise or flapping their wings) This would mean that it would be very hard for humans to learn to speak it, and their speech couldn’t really ever be “perfect.” But, I think dragons would still be able to understand human (their skill level depending on how much human interaction they participate in and the human language would depend on what language the humans they interacted with primarily used). This would be the same with humans as a compromise for not being able to speak dragon, they learn how to understand it. (This would also depend on the same things since I doubt all dragons across the world speak the exact same language, after all some live in clouds where visibility would be much harder so they could have a more verbal language, while the ones that live in the sea could use a dragon form of sign language) .

I like Persona as much as the next guy, but I feel like Team Mario destroys these guys

Keep in mind that, by the time each of these Persona protags are killing their deity or whatever that acts as their final boss, they have assembled a whole crew of party members, and while only 4 of them can fight at a time in the game's battle system (plus a navigator that acts as support), they are all important to the team, even if the player isn't using them

Meanwhile, in the Mario and Luigi games, you usually only have Mario and Luigi as party members during battle, the exceptions being the bros being assisted by their baby counterparts in Partners in Time, and a paper version of Mario in Paper Jam. Bowser's Inside Story is kinda also an exception, as Bowser is also playable, but at no point does he fight with the bros. side by side in typical RPG fashion, Bowser fights and Mario and Luigi fights are pretty separated, except when Bowser inhales enemies for the bros. to deal with. Either way, my point is that the bros. deal with a lot of enemies by themselves, not with a whole crew to back them up

And while yes, the biggest baddies in M&L games are probably not quite on par with the gods faced at the end of Persona games, I feel like the fact that these 2 brothers commonly battle by themselves in M&L, while each member of Team Persona relied on the rest of their separate team's members who wouldn't be present in this match, is something to note

And that's only taking M&L into account, there are many other Mario games to consider here, though I do think M&L is the most important for this

If the bros. bring some power ups and / or Bros. Attacks with them (which I assume is fair game since Team Persona is probably gonna utilize their shared Wild Card ability and bring multiple personas each), they would have a lot of versatility and strength in battle, stuff that would be new to Team Persona even with all the weird shit they've seen during their respective games

And I still haven't even mentioned Wario and Waluigi, who would both likely add onto Mario and Luigi's strength, with Wario acting as a heavy hitting damage sponge that tanks the big attacks to ensure Mario and Luigi are still alive to perform their powerful Bros. Attacks, and Waluigi supporting by hitting over tennis balls and bob-ombs with his racket to keep the enemy team on their toes, plus both wa-bros. probably have some tricks up their sleeves to keep things interesting

And if none of that convinces you that Team Mario wins this, I have one more trick up my own sleeve

Wario is canonically immortal according to the Wario Land 2 manual, with the reason given that he simply doesn't feel like dying, therefore it is impossible for him to lose a deathmatch, since that would require him to die, so Team Mario kinda just wins automatically due to being physically unable to lose, and based on how this competition is set up, ties are not a possibility
