man. this whole thing pisses me off because like. even when people talk about staff having a history of hating trans women, that this isnt the first time, without fail black trans women are forgotten to be included again and again. im not surprised this caused such an uproar when the popular white woman gets deleted. nobody should be, its been that way like forever. some cunt in my inbox got annoyed i called rita a sex worker (lol? okay)
Tumblr media
but i mentioned that in my post because so many black trans women have gotten removed from this site for their sex work alone, regardless of if it "broke community guidelines" or not, especially when tumblr live and the ads on this website are so fucking horny. idek what to say rn because like. this wont get as many notes as the posts talking about her will. the exploding car thing is gonna get more attention than the trans women on this site you dont actually care about listening to. ive been talking about how unfair it is to be a black tgirl on this site for years and nobody cares.
i love rita, we talked abit the other day and she's doing fine, dont get it twisted and think i hate her or some bs, she's a big fucking reason im not fucking homeless.
but part of why her deletion got to #1 trending on tumblr for multiple days in a row is that she's white

So, humanity is at over eight billion people. Time for a bit of statistics education for y'all, because I feel like it.
Okay, take a group that's around 1%. At least officially, it could possibly be higher. So like,
BPD: 1.6% officially
DID: 1.5% officially
Trans: 1.14% officially
Schizophrenia: 1.1%
These are American statistics, but presuming that overall none of these have some sort of strong cultural cause, they should be representative of the norm of humanity. Now, let's get the raw number estimate out of this. What we're going to need to do is multiply 8,000,000,000 by 0.016, 0.015, 0.0114, 0.011 respectively.
128,000,000
120,000,000
91,200,000
88,000,000
So, this a rough estimate for the number of people in each category respectively. Bit bigger than you might assume when you hear "approximately 1%", right? When you hear "approximately 1%", you're liable to think something is super rare. And in proportion, yeah, sure.
But plot twist, I'm discussing misinformation and bad propaganda. Did you know the internet allows disparate groups of small populations to connect and form larger communities than was ever possible offline due to how irl populations are distributed? Now, imagine a community of just 25% of trans people. Using the prior information, you can do this calculation yourself.
Done it? Did you get 22,800,000 people? Good job. If not, the calculation should have been 91,200,000 x 0.25. Now, imagine a community online of 22,800,000 people. That's a pretty damn big community online, right?
And this here shows how false claims of the level of visibility of various groups online being the result of "fakers" and "trenders" is. Those claims rely on your inability to understand that even 1% of humanity is 80,000,000 people. You aren't seeing anywhere close to 80,000,000 different people posting about it. You aren't even seeing 1,000,000 people posting about it. You are seeing a tiny fraction of a tiny fraction of humanity posting about it. Social media just enables that itty bitty bit to find each other and interact.

tl;dr: trans person is moving out of the us, needs to cover hrt appointment and a few other things. offering art commissions
i'm seb and i'm moving out of the us to portugal in early january. before then, i have to go to my doctor one last time for my hrt. i do not have health insurance and have to pay for the bloodwork and appointment out of pocket.
i know that the bloodwork is going to be at most $60 and the actual appointment can be anywhere from $100-350; they don't tell me long before the appointment so i can't give an exact price on that.
my mother in law, who is moving with me and my husband (also trans), is covering most other things, but cannot cover my appointment and a few other expenses. to that end i have commissions open which start from $15 for an uncolored headshot sketch. there's examples in the link or you could go to my art blog for more
putting a tentative goal of $500, which should cover everything and give me a little wiggle room for anything else that may come up.
pp is [email protected] ca can be handed over privately
$0/500

metamorphosis as a symbol of transgenderism, or even just queerness in general is so beautiful to me. there will come a time when you will shift and change into the person you want and are destined to be. it wont happen overnight and it will take time but when you finally emerge and show yourself to the world you will be beautiful and you will be loved. or something like that

I hope you all understand how much Tumblr has nerfed my power
I love sending audio messages, moaning into my mic, telling them that they are doing such a good job for me~
Their reaction to it is so good I could get addicted <3
And according to those who have received personalised audio messages from me, I have a nice voice :3
Maybe I should do audio posts~?
Feel free to send requests <3

A Masterpost About Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARCs)
During the upcoming presidency, it is likely that people in the US will lose many options that keep them from getting pregnant (contraceptives). The right-wing Project 2025 is against birth control pills, abortion, emergency contraception, and the government-provided health insurance ("Obamacare," Medicaid, and Medicare) that helps people afford these.
If you or your partner are concerned about the possibility of losing access to those options soon, you can ask your doctor or Planned Parenthood about getting a Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptive (LARC). The two kinds of LARCs are IUDs and the implant. If you get a LARC right now, it can protect you for years, without you having to do anything to maintain it. A LARC isn't permanent, so you can get rid of it if you later decide that you're ready to have a baby.
Hormonal Intrauterine Device: 3, 5, or 8 years of protection, depending on brand
An IUD is a T-shaped object that a nurse or doctor puts into your uterus. It's tiny, just a little more than an inch. The procedure for getting an IUD isn't surgery, it lasts just a few minutes, and it goes much better if you ask for an anti-anxiety medicine and the right type of painkiller.
Hormonal IUDs work because they slowly release progestin. That's the main hormone in birth control pills. Like pills, they can make your periods get lighter or stop, which is helpful for people who need to get rid of cramps and PMS.
Of the brands of them in the US, the FDA currently approves of using Kyleena for up to five years, Liletta for eight, Mirena for eight, and Skyla for three. Kyleena and Skyla are smallest and therefore easiest to insert.
I have more info in my tags about IUDs.
Copper IUDs: 12 years of protection
The other type of IUD is a copper IUD. Instead of changing your hormones, it works because copper makes the place unfriendly to sperm. Another difference is that this kind can make your periods heavier. Its brand name is Paragard. The FDA approves of using it for ten years, but studies show it's still good at twelve or longer. More info in my tags.
The birth control implant: 5 years of protection
It's a rod the size of a matchstick. A nurse or doctor uses an applicator to put it under your skin in your arm. There, it will slowly release progestin to protect you from getting pregnant. It can make your periods get lighter or stop. The FDA approves of using it for three years, but a study shows it's still 100% effective five years later, and so does another study. Its brand name is Nexplanon, which has improvements over the older Implanon, such as being visible on X-ray. More info in my tags.
Some honorable mentions
There are some other contraceptives that last a long time but aren't considered LARCs. The diaphragm and the cervical cap are two kinds of plastic cap that you put on your cervix each time before sex, and you can keep using the same one for two years. The birth control ring, Annovera, lasts one year. Each injection of the birth control shot, Depo-Provera, lasts three months.
Only barrier methods such as condoms, internal condoms, and dental dams can protect against sexually transmitted infections. The right wing wants to stop people from getting condoms, too. That's another problem, but LARCs can help us get through the next four years without unplanned pregnancies.

If you ever need someone to talk to, someone to be a listening ear, just know that I'm always a DM away. If you want to try out a new set of pronouns for yourself, I will happily help you explore that form of self-expression. I love you all. Stay safe, stay happy, and stay yourself 馃挍

Intersex person here: The above sentence contains two very incorrect statements.
"Gender as intersex": Intersex is not a gender identity, it is a term for individuals who are born with sex characteristics outside of what is generally considered male or female- be that genitalia, hormones, chromosomes, whatever.
"Intersex (appropriate word for cunt)": See above, but replace "gender identity" with "synonym for pussy".
Consider terms like transgender instead of being wrong about what being intersex is, please and thank you. (Ignoring that demons 100% do not have the same concepts of gender and sex as humans do for the purposes of who give a fuck.)

This one goes out to
transfems named Alice, Jessica, Lily, or Emily
transmascs named Kai, Noah, Tyler, or Elliot
any trans person named Alex, Sam, Aiden, Charlie, Riley or
any trans person who ended up with a common trans name, knowingly or not.
You're valid and clearly have amazing taste: These names are popular for a reason! Your name isn't like a username! They don't have to all be unique! You don't have to pick the specialest name and set yourself apart from every other trans person to be valid!!
All that matters is that the name feels right for you.
You've chosen perfectly. Keep it up!
