A (lengthy) oc info rundown post because maybe the best way to showcase my pride and joys is not by vague posting about their lore in the tags of unrelated drawings

✨the gods that make their lives miserable (mostly Aegis)✨
Info about them: they all will have demigods, but Aegis is the only one who mimics their appearance. Aegis changes the most because uhhh nature is always changing? And I get bored. Philomena is the leader. Aegis and Achlys have a rivalry going on because something something domain disputes. They are all kind of siblings? And they all have more abstract forms sort of like how I drew Aegis here, but idk man I can’t figure them out.
And basic info about what I mean when I call either Liam or Emmeline a “keeper” because I use it interchangeably with “demigod” even though “keeper” is what it is in the lore lol
And I don’t have a nice drawing for this because idk how but here’s the deal with Finn and why I sometimes say he’s “cursed” or “doomed to repeat a cycle.” So like just like how there’s a new demigod every 100 years, every 100 years someone comes along who holds the same spirit (like a parallel or something idk). This person always meets the keeper and they become inseparable, either platonically or romantically, doesn’t matter. And every time that person is destined to die as the final like shebang for the demigod transfer (like cutting the last tie to humanity or something). Finn is the first to break this cycle but he wasn’t supposed to. AND he’s cursed because the person with the spirit before him, Heidi, was such a little FREAK that she got the whole spirit cursed and now everyone who gets it after her and Finn will be cursed. Idk what this curse is exactly but I’ll figure that out eventually. It’s just fun to point at them and be like “CURSED 🫵”

Seeing how neat Ace's handwriting is as a child (especially compared to Luffy lol) just makes me imagine how patient Sabo must have been with teaching him
He probably had to correct him several times, and when Ace eventually got frustrated and lost his patience, he would encourage him and compliment his progress
They make so soft

Thinking about Ryuu's first time on stage. Ryuu, who'd never performed in front of anyone before in his life. Ryuu, who grew up as a fisherman's son in Okinawa, and whose greatest aspiration is to fix his father's boat and send his brothers to university. Ryuu, who wasn't even on a popular sports team playing in front of a crowd before he joined up with TRIGGER.
Ryuu, surrounded by two of the most exacting people he's ever met, up on stage staring out at the people gathered there to see them. TRIGGER. And it doesn't matter if it's a dozen or a hundred or ten thousand, that first time it seems like a million. Two thousand eyes on you, hotter even than the spotlights making him sweat. No matter how you try to prepare yourself for that, you can never really be ready for the reality of that sort of thing.
Do you think he froze up? Got nervous and missed a cue? Tenn stepping in from behind him to make up for it, and he's smiling, because of course he's smiling, he's on stage, but Ryuu can feel how angry he's going to be later. Gaku trying to cover for his fumbled dance moves with a little extra charm, but it makes the weight on Ryuu's shoulders weigh all the more heavily.
He just wanted to fix his father's boat.
Stand on the stage. Sing. Dance. Smile. It sounds so easy.
It will be. Eventually. Easier, at least. Never easy.

I see a lot of love for infodumping as an autism bonding activity, and that’s wonderful of course but I think we also need to acknowledge the sheer joy of showing each other your collections. Literally nothing makes me happier than a friend showing off their hoards of trinkets and telling me the lore about each thing.

#I’ll go first: I have a CRT tv collection + a tea collection + a rock collection + a dice collection! those r my fave collections at least#I only have 5 CRTs but they’re all so precious to me and when I move out and have more space I wanna collect more#I rlly like the little portable ones from the 80s that have the cute antennas and carry handles#my rock collection has been slowly updated since I was about 6 years old and contains a few coral skeletons and fossilised bits of stuff#my tea collection takes up a whole pantry in my house and I will probably never finish it in my lifetime even tho I am a regular tea drinkr#bc I really love trying different teas so I add to the collection faster than I drink it#I’m caffeine sensitive so I can’t have much tea in a day. it nerfs me. I would have like 5 different cups per day otherwise#one of my best friends collects specifically the yeti squishmallows and calls them ‘bennies’ bc her first one was called Benny on the tag#the same friend also collects lopsided glass sculptures of animals and they are so wonderful#she also collects gonks. those little soft Christmas gnome decoration things. she has like 40 different gonks#and my partner collects occult books! he has a whole bunch of books on different magical practices and beliefs#he uses them for inspiration for aspects of our Mage: The Ascension campaign
