I love these dudes so so much! I don't ship them as often anymore but they were one of my faves a few years back and I had SUCH a good time having a reason to doodle them! <3

okay but i had a hxh modern school au idea…. hear me out.

killua is the new incredibly rich and emotionally unavailable transfer student, whose family name makes him incredibly intimidating. his demeanor definitely doesn’t make it any better.

gon, on the other hand, is, well… gon. he’s super approachable & friendly, and he practically gets along with everyone. killua pretty much catches his eye almost immediately; he’s mysterious, he’s pretty, and he’s new, someone whose from a completely different world than gon. and ofc, that utterly intrigues him. and all of the ppl warning gon to “stay away” from him and stuff only make him more interested.

i’d also imagine that, despite everything, he’d quickly & easily notice how killua is always alone; he comes to school alone, he spends the school day alone, and then he goes home alone. and maybe, in a way, he could relate— sure, he’s practically a people-magnet, and a lot of people like him, but he doesn’t rly have a TRUE friend, and it always leads to that sense of loneliness that he’s felt for a while now.

so, one day after school, he approaches killua before he has the chance to leave for home, much to killua’s surprise and discomfort, since he’s been purposefully avoiding pretty much everyone since he’s transferred, the same way everyone has basically been avoiding him.

they talk for a few minutes, and killua actually finds himself not hating this. he makes some kind of off-joke, partly as a defense mechanism, but it only makes gon laugh, which makes him hate this interaction even less.

he jokes if gon promises to greet him everyday, and then, in typical gon-fashion, makes killua a pinky-promise, which takes killua off-guard once again even more. gon runs off with a cheerful smile and a “bye, killua! see you tomorrow!” and killua is just left there, dumbstruck.

the next day, he vows that gon is a weirdo and that he’ll tell him off the next time he sees him…. only for him to not do that at all the next time gon approaches him again. when killua expresses confusion, gon simply says “wdym? i pinky-promised!” with such kindness and sincerity that it shocks killua even more. and when gon asks if he wants to hang out after school… killua finds himself awkwardly agreeing w/o rly even thinking abt it.

Sometimes I wonder what the hell Belos would've done if his plan actually succeeded.

Like. The Day of Unity was successful since The Collector wasn't there to stop it, (and technically didn't happen in show) but let's just say he also brought the Collector's disk with him (maybe to free the kid later?).

So everyone is trapped in the Boiling Isles, and he's finally in the human realm. What then? He's going to have to deal with the fact that Witchhunting and such isn't even a thing anymore.

so is he like. just forced to carry out a normal life now? Get a job? A House? And since we're putting in the rhetorical possibility of there being enough titan blood to free The Collector, are they now in some weird family dynamic?

Honestly I think it depends if Luz manages to get back to the human realm in some way, but yeah lot's of questions.

Don’t get wrong I eat up those little fan fictions about Arthur thinking Merlin is scared of magic and what not but, Merlin’s best friend literally had magic in Arthur’s POV so like he knew Merlin was chill with magic. Like Ik it’s fanfic and all that but it low key make me mad sometimes. Also like it’s right there that Arthur even though knowing Merlin is okay with magic loves him anyways and doesn’t make him out as an enemy WRITE ABOJT THAT. Sorry I just feel very strongly about this.
