Spy x Family merch updates and manga hiatus

I wanted to post about some recent fandom news, starting with the good news: while I mentioned in my 2-year anniversary post that we've been in a dry spell lately as far as SxF content, we just recently got a bunch of new merch/designs! (mostly from various Jump Festa vendors) I'll start with my favorite of the new designs, from HMV's Jump Festa set - Forgers in winter outfits ❤️

Next is the "French casual" set from Chara-Ani~ Bond's little red beret looks so cute!

Again for those who don't know, Jump Festa is a yearly event held in Japan in late December that's dedicated to Shonen Jump IPs. SxF will have its own panel with the four Forger voice actors in attendance. We've always gotten exclusive announcements and content at past Jump Festas, so fingers crossed it will be the same for this year! I'm gonna try my best to get some of this merch when it goes on sale in late December. And of course, if I'm able to make high quality scans of these new designs, I will post those as well!

Now onto the bad news, which most of you probably heard about already: the hiatus for the SxF manga has been extended to December 23rd. I believe this is the longest hiatus the series has had so far, and what makes this one concerning is not only that the date kept changing, but also the noticeable silence from Endo and other official outlets.

In the Japanese version of the manga, the last page of each new chapter typically notes the date the next chapter will come out. In the case of the most recent chapter, 107, it said it would release on November 25th, meaning Endo would be taking a break from the bi-monthly schedule, which isn't uncommon. But then, just a few days before the 25th, official English manga outlets like MangaPlus updated the release date to December 9th. It was disappointing since we had all been waiting longer than usual for the new chapter, but again, a second postponement wasn't too alarming...what was alarming though, was the third one that came just yesterday, only a few days after the last. People started noticing that official manga outlets had, again, changed the date for the next chapter to December 23rd this time.

The fandom got stirred up quite a bit when this happened, mostly out of concern for Endo's well being. What made me particularly worried was the fact that, while these hiatuses had been going on for the past month, Endo hadn't posted anything on his Twitter account, which is very unusual considering every month prior he's posted at least a few unique illustrations. Not only that, but the last thing he posted was this oddly cryptic image on October 19th, with text that says "Don't look for me." And he then deleted it soon after, which makes it even stranger.

But thankfully, Shonen Jump must have noticed the pandemonium happening in the fandom, because just a couple hours later, they made this statement on the official Jump+ Twitter, apologizing for the delay and confirming that chapter 108 will indeed come out on December 23rd.

This to me was good news, since their official statement about it makes it unlikely they'll change the date yet again. But some sort of explanation would have been nice, even a vague one. I'm not someone to spread rumors, but my own personal speculation (which could be totally wrong) is that there was some dispute between Endo and Jump. This is the only explanation I can think of as to why his Twitter would suddenly be barren for a month after he posted consistently for so long - my guess is that he has to get approval from Jump for all the illustrations he posts there. I don't know much about the inner workings of the manga industry, but I would assume he has some contractual obligations where he can't freely post stuff on social media without some sort of publisher's approval. It is possible he's just been too busy with Jump Festa and other things, but he's still posted at least a couple times a month even when he's sick or busy, so I don't think that's the main reason. Again, this is just my speculation that could be completely wrong. There's also the fact that they so quickly changed the release date to the 23rd, the day right after Jump Festa ends, which could indicate that Endo's been busy cooking something big to be announced there. Regardless, I'm happy we finally have a new chapter release date that's pretty set in stone now, though I won't feel totally better until we get clear acknowledgment that Endo is okay, either from himself on his own Twitter or somewhere else official.

Anyway, despite this setback, I'm relieved that SxF is still going strong with all the hype for Jump Festa and season 3. Between that and the new chapter right after, we'll be eating good this Christmas!

I'm not diving head first into a lot of the patsy stuff wrt Luigi Mangione, not because I don't believe it's something that would happen but because an overwhelming amount of the stuff I've seen posted about it has been misinformed or rank speculation. that said, the gun itself is the thing I find most suspicious in this story so far. we hear for a while that it's likely a livestock pistol only for it to be a 3d printed Glock, coincidentally untraceable now. the model in question is the V1 chairmanwon Glock. the V2 is better in basically every way and more easily accessible online. which would make one think he perhaps got it a few years ago before the V2, but then the silencer is recent, came out like August if I'm reading correctly. the only explanation that really makes sense to me is the gun already being printed and then the silencer being printed very recently, which would be weird for someone who radicalized over the last year, but would make sense if, say, the NYPD had been looking into these guns and either had the model or a printed version sitting around and just found a recent silencer and printed that off. conveniently, the manifesto days that we'll never get into any of his tech so we'll never know!

additionally, chairmanwon is a fairly regular Twitter user, maybe posts 2-5 tweets most days. doesn't tweet (or post anywhere else I can find) for over 40 hours before Luigi is captured (Twitter hasn't posted since, Instagram is locked, Reddit posted yesterday to buy a camera and then about an hour ago posted again to say his account was hacked, haven't seen other social accounts, he has been speaking with media personally). Totally possible he just didn't feel like tweeting that day, it happens, but it does line up well with a cop/fed speaking to him in the days prior. I would do the same with the guy who made the silencer but his Twitter account was deleted sometime in the last 5 days (when his last tweet indexed on Google was posted)

i've had an idea for a mxtx crossover

a twitter war between Luo Binghe, Hua Cheng, and Lan Zhan to decide who's husband is the best. i know very little about twitter, but i know about fandom wars and this is a war like none have seen.

anyone can add to this but this is how i think it would go (simplified bcs i'm not that good at this kinda thing)

Hua Cheng is dropping ip addresses, pictures outside their houses, and threatening people's safety. Everyone MUST know (and accept) how great his gege is and no one can get a word in. He has never lost an internet fight simply because the other person deletes their account to get him off their back. He will and has gone too far.

Luo Binghe is the only person on the internet who is equal to Hua Cheng in complete craziness/devotion. However, where Hua Cheng (correct me if i'm wrong) just kinda tries to intimidate people who disagree with him about Xie Lian, Luo Binghe is calculated in how he reacts. Luo Binghe is going to try and get the masses on his side (and with help from Shen Qingqiu's wife beam he already has a few people on his side).

Lan Zhan wouldn't really engage with the other 2 because he knows Wei Wuxian is the best and he doesn't see the point in arguing about it.

Right, I'm back. I didn't post anything yesterday because I thought it's best not to rush. But it was indeed fascinating to see reactions in real time to the photo. Yes, I'm talking about the photo posted on IG of JM, JK and another person.

I think I must have read opinions that varied on a entire spectrum and expressed quite vehemently. It's safe to say everyone has really strong opinions and you either condemn it or you're totally fine with it, as long as you pick a side and don't question anything. In sitautions such as these, the tendency to add just a touch of conspiracy is right there. And it gets a pass when there's a lack of information, a language barrier, etc.

I too have my own questions and observations, to which I don't necesarily need an answer, but I'll just write them down.

1. I couldn't help but think of how deep the level of social media stalking is in this fandom. I looked up the account immediately as I saw a screenshot because initially there was confusion about the source. That guy made no previous photo uploads of either JM or JK. At a first glance, there is nothing to connect him to them. And still he had fan accounts following him, before it all blew up and he gained a lot more. My question is, how did that happen? Are there people who look up Jimin's followers list and they try to figure out if there's someone from an inner circle? In all those 50 million people? Do they check some select few accounts daily to see if there's a possibility of a post? The logistics of this are giving me a headache. Or maybe there's some obvious, easier answer and I don't know it.

2. Considering that the account is public, it's not like the photo is leaked. I don't know exactly the nature of the relationship that man has/had with JM & JK and I do not wish to make any speculation with regards to his intentions.

3. I think the outrage was mostly caused by jikookers bringing back to the surface that old photo under the heart arch. Which indeed paints a certain picture, but it's also not the most incriminatory thing out there. I don't think there's any real actual danger, considering that it was supposedly taken from Jungkook's dad Kakao talk. If that's true then it means the dad was ok with showing it.

3. What I personally believe should not have happened was to circulate that photo so easily on social media. People knew about it for a long time, even before someone posted it on I-Jikook twitter. But in cases like these, the photos will always be revealed. They will leave the group chats and out into the wild usually for a petty reason. Because at the end of the day, that's the issue. It has nothing to do with giving a shit about the people in the photo, it's about winning a shipping argument, about screaming "we won". Win what exactly???? It shows who is in it for the fantasy. No single argument could work for them. Replying on and on about deleting doesn't matter.

4. Maybe my last point, but this situation has revealed some things which were already known, but maybe not really articulated specifically all the time. As people not only part of the fandom, but also using social media 24/7, our ideas about privacy and what we should have access to when it comes to public figures has certainly been influenced by the current landscape. In the case of JM & JK particularly, they have been sharing pieces of themselves for more than a decade. It was the BH strategy, the BTS brand. It worked wonders because look at the huge fandom it gathered and the relationship that was built between idol and fan. Hell, Jungkook is doubling down heavy on it with his livestreams. How can anyone really expect a mass of people to really stop and think about privacy? We ourselves as regular people curate our social media image and we voice our opinions and share the places we go to, who are our friends, what parties we attended, when we get into a relationship. Every mundane or special occassion is posted for public consumption. I'm not saying this as some excuse that would justify sharing what looks like a private photo. What I'm saying is that it's to be expected in a way. As harsh as it is, but we live in this reality where the line between the public and private sphere is getting more invisible day by day.

What I think it's scary is that if there's a situation in which an actual compromising photo would somehow be leaked and which can be in the detriment of the people in it for various reasons, so called fans would still share it as proof. Because it doesn't matter for them. It's the high of finding it, of screaming about it on social media, without thinking for more than a second about possible implications. Everything needs to be done fast, regardless of consequences because people need to feed themselves with gossip and leaks.

I'm really just rambling here and not making too much sense. Anyway, I think we should always take a step back and really assess the situation and not scream about it, regardless of our position. Not everything is a threat, or privacy violation or putting people in danger, but it doesn't mean that it needs to be treated lightly as if it's no big deal (which usually comes from people who care more about their own safisfaction and feeling like a "winner").

there was mass fake blog making on BOTH sides. Not just Russia OR Romano's side. just a few hours I watched it go from 51% Russia 52% Romano 52%russia and back to 51% Russia that is over 500 votes in like 3 hours. it is just not possible idk what you say. How the votes would be mass and sway so heavily one side at a time is just not possible. Sure a few votes here and there is possible but not hundreds and hundreds back and forth. As I said I had the annons admitting they rigged it i have admission from both sides from multiple annons.(I did clean out my inbox because there was a ton in there but they were there) Once I mentioned I was disappointed by the mass rigging the votes stopped completely. I know what I am talking about. you can think I'm stupid and disagree if you want but i know what I'm talking bout.

i don't give a fuck if Russia would have beaten Romano fairly. To think Romano would have taken the whole thing fairly on his own is a long shot. I said in the tags when I posted this round 'the king had a good run but i don't think he could pull this one off'. i said the only person i didn't want beating Romano was Spain but that is for a personal vendetta.

However, it's very clear to me that almost 40% of this fandom ships a pairing that demonizes Jimin and many simply feel neutral at best about him and do not put in much effort to defend him or support him. Just my observation; maybe lots of fans feel this way about their own bias. I'm simply noticing how big accounts have been damned near radio silent for Face and are already organizing streaming and buying parties for D-Day's prerelease this week.

Add to that how hard we've been working to stream for Jimin, and yet Spotify and YouTube (especially YouTube) are deleting millions of streams every day. I share your pain and frustration over this. I think it's normal to talk about it in the DMs. But let's keep a clean timeline.

For fans of Jimin, we should act in a way that would honor Jimin and make him proud. Please do not whine or dwell on any negativity; do not badmouth a member or those who bias another member or the company they all work for. Definitely do not waste any precious time or energy dogfighting antis online. Please support Yoongi and all the boys as much as you can.

Keep it classy, even if you wish Jimin had more individual promotion time or radio play or more music videos and playlisting or whatever you perceive should have been done differently. It is what it is, and we want our boys to feel supported, not judged.

Despite all the bullshittery, Jimin has done remarkably well and gifted us with an amazing album. Letter alone is enough to keep my heart lit up like a firecracker for a good long time. So please, remember to conduct yourself as a true ARMY, and any injustices you perceive, answer it with rage-buying and rage-streaming.

(if you haven't already answered this before:) how did you get into Ina11 and made you make this blog for it?

I dont think I've answered this before either (correct me if im wrong though). This goes under the cut like all of my long answers to personal asks...

For some context (this is relevant to my relationship with anime and fandom), I used to be nonverbal for the good 11-12-ish years of my life until I was traumatized out of it so now I'm semiverbal ((with like auditory hallucination, anxiety (general and social), depression, ptsd, etc)). I won't tell anything regarding this experience.

It's not really uncommon for Filipinos my age and older to be into anime because this is everything that the afternoon and morning television have for you. You would know naruto, goku, luffy, etc against your will and I was not immune to that. During that time also cable was really common (and was not paid per fucking channel, that started a few years later though) so I used to watch a lot of anime in Hero TV, Animax Ph, Cartoon Network PH, etc i dont remember the others.

I found inazuma eleven and other anime on one of them and got into it immediately (also because of my trauma) but because some personal things have to happen, I started watching all the anime I got into that time on illegal sites instead.

I was not an internet person and i cant get into chats because of the experience I've mentioned above so even though i like anime and have been reading every fanfiction about my fav shows that time and were even writing some of my own (mostly fairy tail and dbz but all are now deleted or orphaned), I never tried to get into any fandom (I am aware of how fandoms are because i had a personal twitter that i only use for rts that time but i never engaged because they were big fandoms who have... issues)... this was all until the pandemic happened.

After the pandemic, it was like people can understand my experiences suddenly and it made me feel like there are safe spaces now for me to be in so somewhere in 2021 I created a fandom tumblr and twitter account at the same time. Tumblr was overwhelming for me initially so I stayed in twitter (this is during my Encanto phase so my twitter has a small following even right now from that small fandom)... it was a so and so experience but it is my first so it was made better because of that small welcoming fandom...

A bit after that, I got into the naruto and dragon ball fandom which was a big mistake because it made me picked up some toxic feelings and even behaviour that I do not want. I tried learning tumblr more and decided that I'll stay here at the moment. I realized that the dragon ball fandom here actually have nicer people and are more mature and critical while being respectful of others so I enjoyed my tumblr stay!! I made a lot of dragon ball posts that gave me great tumblr mutuals that I still talk to to this day even after my dragon ball brainrot is gone.

Before 2022 ended, I needed a break because of some personal matters. I got into inazuma eleven again during this time after rewatching galaxy (i wanted to be inspired by their alien character designs but it had a different effect). It sparked my love for the series and made me reopen some old concepts and fanfic ideas I had for it before (this includes the vent fic I mentioned once where Kidou was evil, Endou was dead, Gouenji was a pediatrician, and Aki was the leader of a rebellion against kageyama's reign with Fudou by her side). And then, I started writing new ones nonstop for about 4 months (80k words for two different fanfic series btw that are both unfinished).

I started following some inazuma eleven blogs in May this year until I feel like I needed to make posts myself at about the start of June. The fandom had the encanto vibe to me with a cross to how old fandoms feel so it was really nice to be here!! And the rest is history ig?? hehe

Sorry for the really long answer and thanks for the ask!

I answered 10+ years despite my blog not yet reaching its Tenth Anniversary for another 6 months, because it's important to stress that I had been using tumblr for about a year prior to making a blog.

I had about 3 personal accounts and dozens of character ask-blogs that I followed by keeping bookmarks of them in my browser tab and checking them either once a day or once a month, depending on the frequency of updates. It was during that weird period every preteen goes through where they think being overly genuine is cringe, and tumblr in 2011 had the "stigma" of being full of shippers and hipsters. It was only because of the prolonged exposure to those first few blogs that I realized "If I don't want to see that shit, there are other people on here who don't either, and I can just follow them." And so I bit the bullet and made my first blog... rageandrant.

Rageandrant was a shortlived attempt to treat tumblr as if it were blogspot or twitter, composed of me writing childish diatribes over things that affected me negatively at school or at home. I deleted it fairly quickly for obvious reasons, and made this blog soon after. But that's beside the point I'm trying to make here.

The current logged out experience on tumblr is constant prompts to create an account and dreadful limitations of the user experience, not to mention the abandonment of [username].tumblr.com formatting for the Twitterfied tumblr.com/[username], and the terrible default theme this new breed of subdomain uses. Had tumblr looked and behaved like this back then, I never would've gotten over my initial preconceptions of the site and written it off with the same undeserved hatred I once held for reddit (which is still bad as a social media site, but is a great repository of information).

Staff's focus on an ever increasing influx of new users over retaining the userbase they already have is going to result in the complete death of this site. Because without the old growth blogs, no new users are going to want to stick around. It's like a backwards ship of theseus, where an aging but still in good condition ship is having all the boards that are still intact be replaced with the rotted out and crumbling boards of an even more atrocious derelict, the XX Twitter.

Nothing short of a full reversal of every executive decision that has been made to kowtow to new users is going to save this ship from sinking. It needs to be brought into a drydock and refurbished to Old Blue standards.

I sometimes wander some old tags on my pixiv's bookmarks to see if there is potential new (often exclusive Japanese) fanart of my very niche interests (if the thing is mainstream and popular, OF COURSE there will be... I'm specifically talking about the niche, already kinda old things).

Sometimes I find surprises and others the same old, same old. It's always a mix of them. And, since I'm cursed with some rare ships...

This one rare ship in specific was never popular, and I knew from my earlier days into the fandom it came from, that there were at best only 3 or 4 artists constantly drawing for them (it looked like it was so much more art before, and I remember people complaining about that but, it's like *clicks tongue*. "is it really popular if it's the same 3 or 4 artists doing things?")

Ever since the series finished (and the ship kinda got shot on the water), many of these artists moved on (for a variety of reasons, some even before the curtain call), so, it's kinda expected that their pics were slowly disappearing from the Pixiv's art tag within the years to come.

Besides one constant example I have on mind (who was actually harrassed off the fandom), I remember this one artist which art style was crude. I know I cannot really judge much because I am also an artist in progress and the like, but I do remember their art style was quite crude, in not just the technique, but also the fact that their concepts were generally a little... risqué. In fact, I am pretty sure they had two pixiv accounts for whatsoever reason around the same time? (which I assume might be "I lost my account' access data, so, what gives?") and it was the 2nd one that was more less restricted in what they wanted to do with the ship in question.

At the time (this being around late 2012 and 2013), machine translation was pretty much in diapers, so I was always curious in some of this artist's concepts for their pictures (it was mostly in the description of the work, if there was dialogue or else in the picture itself, THAT was a very different story :/...), and I always wondered why they had to choose some crude imagery to illustrate their point. Heck, even in the much more risky pics they made? And so, and so.

Time passes. And some of the first few artists start deleting their work, others stop updating. The tag remains mostly abandoned except for another artist that ended up reuploading their tegaki account's logs. And, yeah, this artist with the crude style also stopped updating as well. No biggie, right? So their stuff remained up for the few years to come.

But, here's a thing that I often seem to forget as well - not everyone of us start as hobby artists when we are young(er) and/or want to pursue a professional career based on that. I started uploading stuff when I was 13 in 2004, but there are plenty of others that start drawing and posting their things when older. I vaguely remember another Japanese artist that I found around that time that claimed she was a housewife so this was a hobby just for her and to have online friends who shared her main interests because she lived in a very secluded town away from the big Japanese cities/districts (this was also before Twitter became a VERY popular thing in Japan), and she "slipped away" while only leaving a blog behind that I'm pretty sure is no longer online (also for a variety of reasons, like site domains ending their blogging services), which last entry may have been in the very early 2010s.

So, yeah. I suppose that being an artist online (on Pixiv, on their personal blogs... gave these people anonymity from their actual occupations (and other hobbies). And it wouldn't surprise me these Pixiv artists weren't my age back in the day (I was in my early 20s in 2012/13) or that they were married and had children and so and so.

So... anyway. Time kept moving on, of course. I still remembered a few of this one artist' crude pics because they felt ingrained into my brain, and I remember the number of the works in that tag kept decreasing... even more in the past 4 years. And today I finally caught up - "Wait a second. I mean, yes, this artist's pics are there... but not the OTHER ones I do remember?", and I think I arrived ot he conclusion they ended up deleting their (2nd) account or else.

I say "else" because in the past couple years, Pixiv had to become restrictive about actual pr0n and payment processors concerning not just Pixiv, but Fanbox and I suppose BOOTH, also something about "if you live in the US, it sucks that we will have to restrict some content too" (but I don't live in the US, so...), so I assumed some meddling happened... but then I ended up rejecting this idea because "if they were MORE restrictive about the pr0n content, I shouldn't be seeing these hentai pics of literal 14 year-old magical girls on its series' tag" (ALSO, I BEG YOU PIXIV, NO WAY IN HELL YOU ONLY GIVE THE FREE USERS ONE FREE BLOCK OF THEIR LIKE???).

SO, big chances are the artist in question deleted their account sometime in the past four years. When? I vaguely recall the number or works decreasing that much around 2020 or 2022, so, probably back then. And while I shouldn't really question their reasons, there's a lot that could have happened, either old shame of their works about and old rare ship of a couple of finished series or old shame of their explicit content? Maybe they DO have a kid that already knows how to use the internet and do not want them to find their (admittedly very old) r18 stuff? I MEAN, PLENTY of things could have happened in TEN YEARS.

But, then why just THAt one account. They had another older one... hence my dumb assumption of "they probably lost the access login data from that one, forcing them to do a new one".

And again, I don't have any issues with them deleting their stuff, it's just... time passage and some stuff that I might have ignored back then.

I remember more or less how these risky pics were and I imagine, that also didn't help in giving the best "first impression" for a rare ship (also smth smth about "vocal minority being quite vocal" about canon and stuff). Heck, I remember not liking ALL of them in the first place because the concepts, situations and the art technique they used were CRUDE in all caps. But, it's not like they weren't forbidden of doing so, since at the end of the day it's an "if you don't like, you don't watch" kind of stuff... but I guess crumbs are crumbs, especially because I still liked a few of these because I found them interesting.

But I find it mesmerizing that I connected the dots JUST now. And it's still a SHAME, regardless of what I think about them.

Dang, I didn't even know there was a fandom for Ninjago on Tumblr. There is one for Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube and it's toxic there as someone who has shifted away from the fandom in 2019, seeing all these dramas happening over plastic little bricks is utterly insane, the last time there was a drama it because of homophobic users on twitter that said something about how heterosexuality makes the show better which goes to show there is ALSO a concerning amount of lacking media literacy in this fandom who ONLY cares about the ships in the show and NOT for the story 🤷🏽‍♀️ and I didn't know there is heat happening on Tumblr. This fandom never changed its way, huh? Most of the people who switched fandoms were people over 15+ who wants to be in a fandom that's solely a safe space for marginalized groups. I don't blame people for leaving this fandom. Hopefully OP, you do find a fandom where you actually feel safe and belong and I'm sorry to hear that YOU'VE been getting harsh treatment by the community :( you deserve so much better than this. I recommend checking out The Owl House fandom and the show itself, as someone who is in it, I think you might like it there more than the fandom you've left.

I have actually been hiding out in the Owl House fandom on my other account and honestly I really do not want to leave this page so I have made a decision after 2 weeks I have decided to come back to this page and completely redo it, but you know what I'm not ashamed about my posts before

Take that as that is what trauma does to a person and only a coward would delete the evidence of that damage. I wasn't thinking clearly at all

In the end I'm just here trying to create stuff for other people to enjoy and I appreciate the anonymous folks that are clearly outside the Ninjago fandom who have encouraged me not to abandon this page, while I will occasionally do things, I will not be the same as I once was with it,completely loyal to a fault.

My time with the Ninjago fandom is a majority over with this post. I say it to you, and the other Anon, which I will respond to, have really helped me realize how toxic the fandom has become.

But it's hard for ones founding member to leave what they once helped to create and watched grow for over 12 years

If you didn't know that about me, I was around for the original days. I was around online from 2013 onwards.... I was making fanfic. I was interacting I was creating art even! Not very much, but I would, I would post, and I would do everything to help bring it to life, to support this little show I used to love with everything I had,

But the fandom and its inhabitants took that away from me... took that love and support that I once wanted to give to this fandom and threw it back, and showed me they really never cared for my effort, so in the end all I got was nothing and that's evidenced by these past few years.

So with a heavy heart I do say a majority of my days in the Ninjago fandom are done.

This decision also came as I again have been getting into the Owl House fandom and found more support than I have ever felt from Ninjago in a long long time.

It didn't take them long at all to bring me in amongst their group.... as long as I keep my tags appropriate and stuff to my corner I've already found that I can be as weird as I want to be,

Again, something I used to be able to do in the Ninjago fandom before I recently realized I became afraid of it, afraid of losing everything from it

How is that right because I don't think it is okay, and it never will be. And the sad factor is I know I'm not alone due to all of these anons. I've had more than a couple that I can tell that they were former Ninjago fans

Maybe the fandom needs to look at itself and realize it's killing itself. It's like a cancer festering and eating away at it until there is nothing left but insanity and hatred

I agree she’s younger than what I’d like to see for Alys, but I don not think that was the issue when these same groups of fans fancast JBF and Phoebe Tonkin. Idk if Helaemonds are talking about this, there was more noise on that side about the cheese casting. Iirc there was some pushback about the content of Emily’s audition (which is obviously only an audition and not the final script) and some comments about her appearance, the same as people do to this actress. well, idk, i would be weary as a general rule to associate any kind of negative talk with this expectation of real life flaming or attacking the actress on social media. i mean, everyone is allowed their likes and dislikes in media, surely? not liking certain actors and preferring others is not a crime and shouldn't be policed either. i'm sure everyone has actors they just don't like for whatever reason, including silly stuff like not liking their mannerisms or how they enunciate the letter T.

Summary: Blaine drunk posts on his Instagram asking for a date for Valentine's Day. He gets one.

Tina is true to her word. She comes and makes him pancakes and wraps him in a blanket and coos at him before immediately confiscating his phone. She apparently knows his pin because she unlocks it without asking. Blaine makes a token noise of protest. 

"Don't worry. I'll handle this," Tina says. 

Blaine is worried. "I can't expose you to all that, T," he says sincerely. "People are disgusting."

"Blaine. I'm a twenty seven year old woman that has spent a non zero amount of time on dating sites. I promise you it will be nothing I haven't seen before." She glances at the screen. "Oh, Jesus Christ."

"I told you!" Blaine cries, exasperated. 

"It's not that." Tina glares at him. "I can't believe you still have the post up." She waves the phone at him and Blaine gets a glimpse of himself, bedroom eyes and all. Tina looks at it too. "You actually look really good in this picture."

"Thank you?"

"But you need to delete it. I hate Sebastian but you can't set your tweenage fans on him. He'll probably go crazy and do something absolutely wild. And then you'll end up in one of those stupid articles like on Buzzfeed. 'Guy Makes Post Begging For Valentine's Date And You Won't BELIEVE What Happens Next'."

"What happens next is that my best friend is mean to me," Blaine says petulantly. "And there's no point deleting it. It's already Out There. Probably already been screen shotted and shared on Twitter and had someone doing like body language analysis of my picture on Tik Tok. The wheels are off."

Tina sighs. "Maybe you can pass it off as satire? A statement about the commercialization of Valentine's Day and how it's perfectly fine to be alone actually." 

Blaine's head is throbbing. He’s way too hungover for this. "Of course it's fine to be alone. Coffee?" 

"Yeah," Tina says absently, tapping away. Blaine feels real fear for about the fourth time that day but he leaves her to it. He's probably already going to have to delete his entire account and move to The Philippines. His mother's family will take him in. He loves his cousins. He could do it. 

He makes a pot of coffee and by the time he's taken a few fortifying sips, he feels strong enough to peek over Tina's shoulder again. She seems to have abandoned the idea of damage control, which is probably lucky because the uncharitable side of him suspects she would only make it significantly worse. Instead she’s working through his DMs, deleting anything with penis in it without even flinching. Blaine feels a pang of real fondness for her. 

"You're an angel," Blaine sighs. “The meaning in my life. My inspiration.”

“Alright, calm down,” Tina says but she smiles. “Dumbass.”

Blaine gratefully closes his eyes. As much as he and Tina mock each other, he doesn't honestly know what he'd do without her. And she's probably right about one thing. He should delete the post. He'll just do a standard Instagram apology acknowledging fault, ask his fans not to harass Sebastian, and wait for it to all blow over. 

Tina laughs beside him and Blaine cracks an eyelid. "What is it? A weird one?"

"Nah," she says, passing him his phone. "A good one."

Regardless, being cheated on absolutely sucks and as much as Valentine's Day is overdone, it's a particularly shitty time of year to have it happen (speaking as someone who will be Sad and Alone this Valentine's Day) . Good for you for calling him out and good for us to get that picture of you 😉. Dreamy AND talented. You will find someone more worthy in no time.

Blaine reads it twice. In all the noise of the last day or two, he’s kind of put his feelings about Sebastian’s infidelity aside. But it’s good to have someone acknowledge how horrible it actually is. And it’s all mixed with the ego boost of being blatantly flirted with. He barely knows what to think. He glances at Tina.

"He wants to do you," she points out helpfully. 

"Yes I got that. But I think that's a joke," Blaine says. “To get my attention apparently."

“It looks like it’s worked,” Tina teases.

“Hmm.”

"He did also say you're dreamy." 

"He did," Blaine admits. He looks at the message a third time. It's kind of funny and sweet all at once. He's quite clearly learned nothing from any of this because a very large part of him wants to respond. "I should probably have my social media powers taken away from me."

Tina makes a non committal noise and pours herself some coffee. Blaine takes the moment to click through to hummelbrag's profile and his jaw quite literally drops. The profile claims the name Kurt Hummel and that Kurt is an assistant editor at Vogue, both of which Blaine registers dimly, but also pales in comparison to just how gorgeous the guy is. 

Kurt's pictures are more posed than Blaine's. He clearly works hard on angles and lighting to best show off the clothes he's talking about. And the result is that he looks completely stunning in all of them. 

"He must be a catfish," Blaine says. "No one this attractive would be flirting with me through Instagram DMs. That's just not my life." 

Tina grabs his phone and whistles through her teeth. "Yeah, he's pretty hot. But he's got too many followers to be some random catfish. Maybe you should reply to him."

"I would love friends that didn't actively encourage awful decision making," Blaine grumbles, thinking about how on board Sam had been about the original post. Which was clearly terrible. 

"If he's a freak you can just block him," Tina points out. "What's the worst that can happen?"

"A phrase that obviously only precedes the best things," Blaine says drily. He slides his phone back into his pocket. "Thanks, T but let's watch a movie or something. I just want to forget about it for a while."

I know it was last year, but I don't remember when.

That year it was fashionable to make controversial publications of all kinds, and I must admit that I let myself be influenced a lot by friends so that a few days later I would make content that I regret so much today, I am talking about p3dophilia.

I did it from an account called Rover Davis which I have already eliminated, and this was for attention, the worst of things, it was with two oc's

I remember that at times it was quite normal for me, but the days went by, I thought a lot about drawings of that style, more than something positive I had the need to erase them at every moment, most of the people I was close to were people so to speak Edgys,

and I also wanted to be accepted by them, but I was already thinking about the bad things, and I started having dreams about these things, bad dreams,

with children and all this, I will only say that they were grotesque things, in the mornings I could not be calm anymore, I even remember that days later I fell ill with covid, I thought "was it because of the drawings?"

Whether it was or not, I'm sure I deserved it, shortly after, I thought, in my family, imagine if I became a mother or even an aunt or so, and well, I always cry when I mention this.

Thinking of a son of mine being touched, a nephew, someone, any child, who cannot even defend himself, disgusted me.

I felt so much repulsion of myself in those moments.

Why erase the pictures?

In my live they know that I always apologize for those disgusting drawings that I made and that if I could I would erase those drawings and that moment of my life, but let them know that what I did is wrong, and I throw myself to the ground and humble myself in front of all of what I did.

seokgyu + "i miss you"

Seokmin has retyped the same three word message in his phone for the past ten minutes, only to delete the message as soon as he reads them once again.

It was stupid. He was being stupid.

The trip was only going to be for three and a half days anyway, and yet to Seokmin, it felt like forever.

Mingyu should've taken him along. It just wasn't fair that Seokmin was left behind while Mingyu was off having the time of his life without him. 

A brand new notification alerts him of another new post Mingyu made on his instagram account, and Seokmin dreads seeing the new photo, thinking about how much fun Mingyu must be having right  now only made him feel worse. 

What if Mingyu was having too much fun without him? What if Mingyu never wanted him there in the first place? The thought alone was enough to upset Seokmin even more, and he tries very hard not to keep the depressing thoughts from spiralling even further.

Seokmin was about to call it a night, maybe even make plans with Jisoo hyung tomorrow if the older man wasn't too busy; anything to keep the ache in his chest at bay while Mingyu was off having the time of his life, apparently without Seokmin with him.

His phone vibrates in his hands just when Seokmin was setting up his alarm, and when Seokmin checked the caller id, the name that greeted him had Seokmin scrambling to answer the call.

"Hey." Mingyu's voice greeted from the other line. The sound was a bit distorted, static making his voice sound even more gravelly than usual.

"Hi." Seokmin says after a beat, heart racing as he waited for Mingyu to say whatever it was he had called for.

"Did you eat dinner already?" Mingyu asks, followed by a shift like the other man was trying to make himself comfortable in bed. The image puts a smile on Seokmin's lips, picturing Mingyu snuggled in between his pillows.

"I ate dinner with Jeonghan hyung a while ago," Seokmin answered, recalling the warm broth of beef noodle soup he had with the older man right before he headed to bed. "Why did you call?"

The other line quiets down, like Mingyu's thinking of what to answer. 

Minutes drag on, and the silence continues, making Seokmin wonder if Mingyu had heard his question earlier or if the other man had already fallen asleep on him.

He was about to ask again when Mingyu's voice filters through the other line, it was clear and the softest Seokmin has ever heard him make.

"I missed you," Mingyu says, knocking all the air left inside of Seokmin's lungs. "I wanted to hear your voice before I went to sleep."

"Are you drunk right now?" Seokmin says, trying to sound nonchalant, playing it off like a joke because he can't afford to get his hopes up. Not now, not when Mingyu wasn't even here with him.

There was another pause, and Seokmin was sure Mingyu could hear how much his heartbeat was racing inside of his chest.

"I had a few drinks with Hao earlier," Mingyu finally confesses. "But it wasn't enough to get me plastered, if that's what you're implying." He adds, sounding far too sober.

"Then you–"

"I mean it, Seokmin." Mingyu says, answering his question far too quickly like he already knows what Seokmin was asking; always so ready to reassure Seokmin and make his intentions clear to him, no matter how trivial. "I missed you, so I called. That's all there is to it."

Warmth spreads throughout Seokmin's chest, setting butterflies fluttering inside his stomach, and putting a smile on Seokmin's lips upon hearing those words. 

"I missed you too." He whispers, feeling breathless now that he's finally able to admit his own thoughts and feelings out loud for Mingyu to hear.

Mingyu laughs on the other line, sounding far too fond when he says, "I'll be home soon, Seokmin."

"Promise to get me something yummy on your way home."

"Of course, your highness." Mingyu answers with a dramatic sigh on the other line, but Seokmin knows he will make good on his promise. He always does.

"Thanks." Seokmin says, meaning it.

"For what?" Mingyu asks, teasing.

"For calling." Seokmin answered, wishing that Mingyu would know what he meant – that he wasn't just thankful for the call, but for the reassurance that Mingyu had provided him, and for Mingyu's admittance that he was also missing Seokmin.

"You don't have to thank me for that, Seokmin." Mingyu says with a snort. "I'll see you tomorrow, so try not to miss me too much, okay?"

"You wish I did." Seokmin quips with a roll of his eyes, laughing all the while when he hears Mingyu's indignant 'Hey!' on the other line; his earlier woes are completely forgotten now that he's talked to Mingyu. 

In a way, it always does.

• serendipity181818: (Instagram) they have commented under wagsf1 saying Max and Kelly were together before it was even a 'rumour' in November 2020 (Max had been liking her posts for a while (as had Lando), and I think they were already in a relationship at that moment, but no one had any concrete proof - and the photo of them together hadn't gotten much attention), followed many Dilara fan accounts (their account is still private, but they only follow two accounts now and deleted their comments) and then, in September/October 2021, they defended Kelly, especially on the Instagram account spillthef1gossip and sent threats to some accounts who were allegedly harassing Kelly.

• Serendipity1811 (Twitter) they posted the pic of Max and Kelly on Twitter + claimed P is Max's child as soon as they formalized (January, 1st 2021) + their Twitter name (the name you edit as much as you want) is serendipity1818 but without dot, so have they changed it to link their account to the Instagram account(s) (serendipity18.18 and/or serendipity181818), or was it like this since the beginning and the Instagram account(s) was(were) inspired? or are they all the same person? + they're following French media (so it can be someone from Monaco or near it (who speaks French at least) or someone who just follow the first big French media they've seen to make it look like they're a French speaker).

• serendipity18.18: (Instagram) they sent the first photo of Max and Kelly together to a gossip page on Instagram: f1truthwags + they follow Max and Kelly's family members.

• f1truthwags (Instagram) I would like to add them because their first post was the one about Max and Kelly, apparently sent by serendipity18.18 (who doesn't follow them and had never interacted with this 'gossip page' publicly). so, if f1truthwags wasn't created before, why would someone with this kind of tea send it to them? and exactly the same day as it was posted on Twitter? so it means either the person behind serendipity18.18 (Instagram) saw the photo of them on Serendipity1811 (Twitter) and then, decided to make an account on Instagram with the same (unusual) word and numbers to send it to an unknown gossip account? or someone saw f1truthwags post and decided to make an account on Twitter with almost the same name as an unknown Instagram account that sent the photo to the gossip account to share it on Twitter? It doesn't seem realistic at all for me, I'm pretty sure the two serendipity accounts are linked, maybe also with the gossip account.

• serendipity18.18 (Instagram) or Serendipity1811 (Twitter) posted the photo the same day (Nov, 22) as f1truthwags, so are the two (or three) accounts the same person, even if the names are different? their names are really similar. • how did they get the picture? did one of them have access to the private account of Max and/or Kelly's friends or was their friend's account not private and someone recognized Max and Kelly? or did they find the photo somewhere else? like someone that knows about their relationship (and maybe disagree with?) sent it to a group chat and someone leaked it? • is Serendipity181818 related to the first two? they appeared for the first time under the wagsf1 post (but I couldn't find the date) admin, if you have it, does this account appear around November 22, 2020? if so, it could be a link to the other two.

• II. could it be Kelly?

• we can all agree, I think, that the three accounts were created for one purpose: Kelly, either to expose her (and her relationship with Max) or to defend her. the question is whether they are obsessed with Max: so they try to find out about his private life, so Kelly; or with Kelly: so Max is collateral damage?

I think it's important because you don't create at least three, maybe four accounts, for no reason and for no purpose. what they follow, for the three Instagram accounts, shows that they are only interested in the relationship between Kelly and Max, (I think the fact they follow(ed) account dedicated to Dilara is important), but why would someone do this? and create so many accounts?

• what is strange, is that both serendipity18.18 (Instagram) and Serendipity1811 (Twitter) only shared the photo of them from October (and Serendipity1811 shared the disgusting post about P on January 1st, 2021 (as did f1truthwags one day after)) and then, they disappeared. but serendipity181818 (who commented about Max and Kelly seeing each other around November, I think) was still there nine-month after, and changed sides, going from exposing them in November 2020 (i.e. spreading a rumour) to defending Kelly under a gossip account on September/October 2021. it looks really strange to me, and illogical.

• serendipity181818 was well informed about their relationship, knowing they were seeing each other when Max was only liking her posts, so maybe they're from Monaco and had seen them? [unlikely I think, because you need a reason: flirting with Max and he went with someone else?] or they have a connexion with the other serendipitys accounts who somehow know Max/Kelly? (if the three accounts are not the same person). maybe they're close to Max/Kelly or they know someone who knew something?

their email address looks like Kelly's, (I agree that could be evidence), but it could also be someone hiding behind a fake email address to open this account, and that wouldn't be strange as their account has been dedicated to Kelly from the beginning: their first appearance being under wagsf1 about their relationship - but the American number is strange, if they are American and live there, how would they know? (even if there are a lot of foreigners in Monaco).

• I won't say it's not Kelly, because I don't have any proof, but I'm pretty sure she would never bring her own daughter into this mess, so I don't think she's behind serendipity18.18 and Serendipity1811, however, for serendipity181818, it's less certain. I don't know why she would comment about her relationship under wagsf1 and the comments made on spillthef1gossip account could have been made by someone who's trying to defend her by trying to put themselves in Kelly's place, so for example writing "mom and P" for "her mom and P", or thinking they never met during the race she went to the Replay Gala, but I still find this account weird. and like the other two, it just disappeared from one day to another. strangely replaced by another one, janssenj776; do you think this account is linked to this or they are just defending her as a fan would do? (to be honest, I have less suspicion for this one).

• if Kelly isn't behind serendipity18.18 (Instagram) and Serendipity1811 (Twitter), why would she choose the same name serendipity to create a fake account to defend herself? • also, the meaning of serendipity is really interesting. according to the Cambridge dictionary, it means: "the fact of finding interesting or valuable things by chance" for me, it could either be someone finding the photo by chance (in the possibility that it's someone else person), or Kelly being 'lucky' to find Max?

• III. if it's not Kelly, then who?

for me, two other options seem credible (excluding Kelly): (especially for the Twitter account and one of the Instagram accounts: serendipity18.18)

• someone that knows them: and that can have disagreed with their relationship or, it may look stupid, but jealousy is a thing and Max is a well-known athlete, who was single for a few months, and attractive (at least I think so 😅) and maybe he flirted with them (or it's one of their friends, or someone Kelly flirted with), so I think they could have seen the picture (because they're close enough with the person who posted it) or someone sent it to them and/or they send it to a group chat and someone leaked it, or sent it to someone and that somehow ended on Twitter, or maybe they made the Twitter account Serendipity1811 themselves? (they're obsessed with "1811", it could be a date: November 18th, it could mean something to them? this is really unlikely, just a hypothesis). it would explain why they only posted on November 22, 2020, and then, made a hateful tweet after Max posted her on January 1st, 2021 (I say 'hateful' because they were saying Daniil isn't P's dad, but it was Max, so both cheated on their partners). but in this case, who is serendipity181818 that expose Max and Kelly in November 2020 but defended her against everyone in September/October 2021?

• an (obsessive) fan of Max: someone who digs everywhere they could to try to find information about him, but how could they have information about this 'party' then? in this case, I don't think changing their opinion would be that weird. they followed many Dilara fan accounts, but I don't really know if it's relevant 😅

• IV. more or less a conclusion:

• the whole thing is strange as hell, it doesn't matter if it's her or not, it's crazy and scary. always the same word, almost the same numbers, they have a lot of accounts, they switch sides... and disappear. they had access to the information before anyone else, but I can't understand why Kelly would do that, but at the same time, that it's someone else makes sense and not at the same time. I'm completely lost (and afraid of this person, no matter who they are😭).

I would really like to know what you think about this (in your posts that are well done, you forgot to mention it wasn't only serenpidity181818 but also the others two or three accounts).

I would like to have your opinion, whatever it is, because this thing is really really strange! 🤗

thank you so much for this! it was a very interesting thing to read! just a few things that we want to point out:

- kelly lived in america for a while, so it’s understandable that she had that number. we forgot to add that the +1 number was also added to her shop account, but now the number doesn’t show, an email does so that’s why we didn’t include it.

- we don’t think she’s behind the twitter account simply because what they said about penelope being max’s daughter. we don’t think she’d bring her kid into this, or at least that’s what we hope.

- why would kelly do this? from our point of view (we’re sure that some of you also see it this way), she’s an attention seeker. she’s proven that she loves any type of attention and who can bring her more of what she wants than a rising f1 star? this wouldn’t be the first time she would be spreading rumors about her and max. remember that not so long ago, someone found out (someone from monaco who had a small connection with a relative of one of kelly’s friends) that the rumors about max and kelly getting ‘engaged’ were fabricated by her and her friends. kelly proceeded to follow some wedding dresses brands to fill the rumor, so we wouldn’t put it past her.
