The ancient ones, Deities of forest, mountain, and sea, for whom my ancestors poured from their ram horns.

Hail to the god of emotions, who teaches us when to embrace chaos and when to refrain for the moment.

Hail to the goddess of seiðr, who holds the key of divination in the waves of her golden hair trailing down her breasts.

Hail to the god of strength, guardian of the deer herds, who teaches me when to cry for help and when to stand and gore. Hail to the Allfather, whose unconventional wisdom hurt me greatly in the moment, but saved my soul from perpetual insanity through the binding of runes.

home brings you memories, she said, the curtains remind her of untold tales. the walls speak to me of badminton evenings and dares to stand on them. my windows although forgotten, remain my fav spot to write my homework. my kitchen reminds me of numerous sit-on-the-counter gossip sessions with my mum. home floods me with memories I cherish, people I adore and thoughts unspoken but never unfelt.

one thing people dont seem to understand about TCKs is that we…dont have a home.

Because to me, home is always the last place i live. Just when i come to think of it as home, im ripped from it and expected to deal with the grief as ive done every time, in silence.

Yeah, im happy in my new “home” but i miss home. and the home before that. and the home before that. and the home before that. and the home before that. and the home before that. and the home before that.

no matter what, ill always yearn for a home that i will never be able to return to.
