part of the fun of poetry recitation is that,

when read "properly" poetry is read straight through, not pausing at lines breaks and visual poems are lost content is elevated over the form.

but in fun style, if you read visual poetry as it's written, it becomes an opportunity for creating an accessible audio description of an otherwise untranscribable element of the poem's form, WHILE in doing so thwarting the content in favor of the form !!!!!

reluctance dies upon her lips , chapped underneath the gloss — dark circles beneath juliet's eyes perfecting her PICTURE of exhaustion . she's clearly tried to make what mends are possible , yet cosmetics can only do so much to conceal 48 hours without rest . sleep comes only in the early hours , & always in the company of nightmares . juliet had sold her brave face to her coordinator for a few hours during morning rehearsal — yet she can't keep anything from stassi . it had taken some nudging to get juliet on a meal break , giving stassi the time to talk her into going home . ❛ ❛ ana wanted me here 'til two . i feel awful leaving everyone to do it without me . ❜ ❜ shaky fingers reach up , carefully pushing a lash out of tired eyes . stassi had come to her rescue at just the right time ( once again ) , juliet's NERVES thrown entirely in disarray . ❛ ❛ if i'm going home , you're coming with me . bodyguard duties , or something like that . ❜ ❜ she's too tired to emulate her bubbly , playful teasing — though the weak smile that FLICKERS across juliet's face is a genuine one . maybe she can get some proper sleep with stassi tucked against her side .

there are radically new theories all. the. time. and even just in my research assistant work i've been able to meet with, talk to, and work with the people making them

it's such a philosophical science

potential to do a lot of good in fighting neurological diseases

things like BCI (brain computer interface) and OI (organoid intelligence) are soooooo new and anyone's game - motivation to study hard and be successful so i can take back my field from elon musk

machine learning is going to rapidly increase neuroscience progress i promise you. we get so caught up in AI stealing jobs but yes please steal my job of manually analyzing fMRI scans please i would much prefer to work on the science PLUS computational simulations will soon >>> animal testing to make all drug testing safer and more ethical !! we love ethical AI <3

collab with...everyone under the sun - psychologists, philosophers, ethicists, physicists, molecular biologists, chemists, drug development, machine learning, traditional computing, business, history, education, literally try to name a field we don't work with
