"omg there was only one bed" and if the bed-sharing was familial? if it was platonic?

what about going to a parental figure's room after a nightmare and being comforted late at night?

what about found families cuddling on the couch under lots of blankets?

what about friends showing up at obscene hours of night to crash at their house because it's a safe place for them?

what about siblings sleeping on bunk beds or in separate rooms but end up sharing one bed anyway because they need to know that the other one is safe after a traumatic experience and their other siblings wake up before them and take pictures of them cuddling to tease them later?

what about reluctant found families or reluctant friend groups having to share a bed and as they drift off to sleep, surrounded by these people who they didn't want to get close to but ended up not only caring about, but trusting and relying on, coming to the realization that they would do anything for them???

what about platonic intimacy and being able to rest and rely on your loved ones because you trust them? what about that? huh???

benedick challenging claudio to a duel, 2011 version vs the 2001 radio play version

#much ado about nothing #david tennant #much ado #i love both of these because benedick is being played with two different moods (maturity vs anger) but both of them work so well #in the 2011 version they really lean into benedick being ostracized by don pedro and claudio. he is no longer 'one of the guys'#he's angry but also cool and rational and dead serious in extremely stark contrast to claudio who thinks he's telling some joke #and it's a sharp left turn from the silly goofy cringeloserclown of a man he was at the beginning of the play #in the 2001 version he's more brimming with fury and it sounds like he's on the verge of strangling claudio right there #like this interpretation of him overall is much more the battle hardened cynical soldier that is ready to throw down and we see that here #and the image it conveys of him walking up to claudio and snarling the challenge in his ear is sooooo. God i am not your strongest soldier

Absolutely LOVE the difference between Rhysand and Tamlin when Feyre comes back to them in ACOMAF and ACOWAR. After the first week with Rhys is up and Feyre is back, she runs to Tamlin, they have a wee cuddle and then he speaks to her with such rage at Rhysand for stealing what is his (because Tamlin is a piece of shit and sees Feyre as a possession) and the second she tries to feel physically close to him after being separated, he's demanding information about the night court.

Jump to Rhysand in ACOWAR, once Feyre is back in Velaris and he returns, they are holding each other, sobbing from being apart and the second she even questions if he wants info about the spring court he is reassuring that other things aka HER matter infinitely more. Even when they get to the bedroom, he has no rush to have sex with her but just to hold her and run her a bath because he actually cares about her. There are so many ways in which Rhysand is better than Tamlin, but this is a big one for me.
