i love seeing deaf characters in media just like. there in the background as normal people. but why is it Always a deaf librarian. deaf people can do more than that. learn more from General Amaya

#my mom works in finances (im a CODA). my mom's best friend is a nurse. be more creative #i don't know that much abt Deaf culture as i am not deaf myself but there sure as hell are more than librarians in there #in fact i don't think I've literally ever met a Deaf librarian. and I've met a lot of Deaf people #i do love seeing sign language presented in this book as nothing strange or unusual though #i almost didn't even notice until several paragraphs in it was so natural #i did the same thing with Hearth from magnus chase. didn't fully realise Hearth was deaf until like. it became a Plot Point #its just Normal to me tbh i don't notice bc it's like. daily for me

the marauders fandom needs to remember that atyd isnt canon and most marauders era characters dont have canon personalities or houses (or even friendships) so no one is 'mischaracterizing' their favs. also that regulus did way less than what yall give him credit for and what he did do ended up hindering harrys search for the horcruxes even if he had good intentions + the reason why he defected isnt confirmed and it could very well be that he has a pureblood ideology but simply drew the line at horcruxes.
