reminder that numbers and notes do not define your writing. i want you to stop limiting yourself. when you write freely, you don't care about how it will do on tumblr or how many notes it will get. you do it for yourself because you always wanted to write it. trust me on this because the best fic i've written is at 227 notes but a random headcanon got 13k. but you know what? in the end, i always find myself thinking about the reblogs and comments under the 227 one. so don't let the numbers get to your head. you are amazing.

i thought i had escaped the post that tried to take a statement on discord out of context, about durge and astarion being a 'canon ship' or w/e, but alas it showed up on my dash. i don't have the energy to go through this kind of bs w/ bg3.

i don't care how much more dialogue a character has w/ another character. i don't care what you think is implied though a vague statement made by a writer or VA. shit like that is what caused a lot of people in the DA fandom to get harassed by so many braindead people in the fandom because their ships were "not canon". the fact that it was also added in because of crunch is a huge disappointment. it's allowed to be your canon but it doesn't make it canon for the game in general.

I thought it was important to share some good news :> most of my NYC trip is funded! but, it is causing some stress, so I don't want to post a lot lately.

I'm working on a lot of comms right now (4 active with just as many if not more waitlist/queued - where I usually took 2-3 at once in uni) so i'm just posting in my server or kofi since wind down sketches and studies and the lot are all i have time for between all that.

If I do post anything besides those, it is a miracle such as i am cured of depression, or student loans got forgiven.

I just realized the two fandoms I left are all because of the fandom itself and how miserable it is there. ppl just can't respect other ppl's boundaries and would throw in words that they don't even know the meaning of. I mostly keep to myself but some of it was so loud I'd heard it from other ppl and would sometimes end up seeing it. like some artist would leave and sell all the merch they bought just because ppl bullied them so bad over being a fan of a character. or you just ship smth and ppl would bully you for it. like these are simple ships and some got driven out coz of how hostile ppl are. seeing all that shit really is just demoralizing and not make me want to put content for those fandoms anymore.

⭐️Superheroes and ATLAS!

Less of an employment+job relationship, and more like charity. Heroes aren’t part of ATLAS’ payroll, but instead ATLAS offers support and donations under their organization’s name to heroes, both local and globally. 

This makes heroes more like volunteers or self-employed contractors at most, who receive additional aid and resources to lighten the load. <- It’s both a long-standing PR stunt for ATLAS’ image as well as a way to keep most heroes at a distance (and reliant if possible).

A majority (if not almost all) heroes are kept in the dark about the true, inner machinations of ATLAS— just like how a majority of the organization’s own employees are unaware.

Some of the threats are genuine. And some of the threats are staged, all set up to save the very people ATLAS ruins— a horrible cycle that not only lines the organization’s pockets but empowers them as a strong global influence.

With all this, I’m hoping to play more into the themes of good people with good intentions being used for terrible things (and as a result, overcoming the abuse that follows and determination to break the cycle and make changes, even against all odds)!
