i truly do believe that tokusatsu has something for everybody (ie. a season that would get them interested in the genre) but it has to fit 2 criteria:
- it should be a season that matches exactly their taste
- they should discover it naturally
you can lead a horse to water (telling a friend that kingohger’s mc is EXACTLY their type of overpowered child of destiny teased with a hidden darkness) but you can’t make it drink (she told me their outfits look cheesy) (THEY AREN’T) (THEY’RE THE COOLEST OUTFITS IVE SEEN SO FAR😭😭)

*slides across the floor* hello. PRETTY PLEASE infodump about your charity/crumhorn lore im so invested in them WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN THEM BRO (/nf ofc, nonetheless you're art's sick and your character design goes hard)
AHH ty for being interested!! I have a ton of Charity stuff since I've been playing around with maybe writing a small fic about her by suggestion of my friends who are also into Danger Mouse, so I'll shove it under a read more. I'm pretty shy about oc stuff due to trauma/anxiety but I tried to make it sound less ridiculous. (And here's some more doodles of them.)
Tumblr media
Charity and Crumhorn had gotten divorced shortly before the Pink Dawn episode. She’d found out about Crumhorn's plan to take over the world and didn't approve of it. So she left him.
As shown in the show, Crumhorn is terribly petty. Out of spite, he bought out the law firm that Charity was using for the divorce. He ended up winning full custody of Dawn to try and punish Charity for leaving him. It was also partially to try and force her to come back. She wasn't allowed visitation or anything either as sort of an explanation for why Dawn isn't ever shown with her mom in the show.
Charity is a well known actress but after the divorce, she stepped out of the public eye due to Crumhorn's influence. He practically owns everything and she wasn't sure what he'd do. But the most he ends up doing is still trying to get her back by being horribly annoying and doing outrageous things
Their dynamic is really funny because Crumhorn has practically everything. The guy is a trillionaire. He owns SO much stuff but the one thing he literally cannot get is his wife back. He's used to getting what he wants through petty means or with money. So it’s why he does outrageous stuff that just irritates her further instead of being normal and talking to her or letting her see Dawn.
They do love each other and Crumhorn did always treat her well pre-divorce. It's just a messy situation.
I know Dawn's mom being dead is a popular theory, but it's just SO much funnier if she just divorced Crumhorn and he's terribly petty and pathetic about it.
Some other Charity lore bits:
Their marriage was arranged by Charity's parents who are high society business associates of Crumcorp, but that's a whole other long ramble. (I'll cut that part short and say they gave Crumhorn one of their major oil companies in exchange for him marrying Charity and helping their public image).
She did not want to marry him as she had only met him one time during a business golf game. She eventually agreed because she's overly desperate for her parent's approval. Her father isn’t as terrible as her mother, but he still let it happen.
Crumhorn only agreed to the marriage because he was getting a 500 billion dollar company out of it and he had already started his slow progress to owning the world. He was going to just divorce her and keep the company, but he became fond of her.
It was mainly a business thing at first, but they did eventually fall in love with each other before Dawn was born.
Crumhorn treated Charity a million times better than her parents ever did. He was a source of comfort for her until the divorce. He just let her do whatever, so for the first time in her life she could make her own choices and had freedom.
One time he asked Charity to try playing Giraffe Warriors to get her opinion on it. But she's really bad at video games and couldn't get past the tutorial level and then complained ‘I don't even know why the giraffes are fighting’.
She's an American and is from New York.
Mr. Snuggles was a birthday gift to Dawn from Charity. It's why Mr. Snuggles loves Dawn so much/is protective since he's pretty much an extension of Charity.
Dawn is more well behaved around Charity than Crumhorn. Mainly because Crumhorn doesn't really parent well and usually gives her whatever she asks for so he can work.
Charity was also the one who played with her the most, so Charity being taken from her is why Dawn wanted to win that contest in Pink Dawn so she'd have someone to play with as Crumhorn is always too busy.
Post-divorce, she called Crumhorn a bitchless twink on Spamchops once because he made her mad and she got suspended for a week over it.
She likes FNAF, but she calls all the characters by the wrong names. (Foxy is called Biscuit and she literally calls Freddy, Five Nights at Freddy's).
She knows the P. In Augustus P. Crumhorn stands for Philibert and she likes to call him that to make him mad.
A running joke I have is that Charity is one of those ‘I think want my toxic ex back' people who talks to Crumhorn sometimes, despite her friends telling her not to because she complains about him nonstop.
Also here's Charity's tier list of DM villains bc my friend made one for her DM OC and it's the funniest thing.

The first emotion that spiked through you when you heard that the second years were back from their mission was relief. None of them were dead; anything else, you could deal with.
You had rushed to the infirmary, ignoring Nobara’s snickers. She alone knew who you was sprinting to see — your feelings for a certainupperclassman were highly secret, of course, but somehow she had found out, and of course she had, because she was Kugisaki Nobara, and nothing could really be kept secret from her for very long.
She had been urging you to do something, to make a move, citing that it “wasn’t like he had a lot of girls interested in him, anyways,” but you had always been too shy. You weren’t sure that you could handle a rejection, and it was hard to tell whether he was interested in you or just polite.
But your fear did not stop you from skidding to a stop in front of Shoko, giving her a wide-eyed stare, patiently waiting for her to tell you what was wrong with your friends.
“Did you need something?” she said. Obviously, her cursed technique had nothing to do with reading minds, but you still scowled at her for not knowing what you were thinking.
“The second years. Are…are they alright?” you said. She frowned, and this was your first clue that there was something less than alright going on with the trio.
“Well, they’re not permanently hurt, no,” she said. You sighed in relief — this was more than you could’ve hoped for. The curse that they had been sent to fight was obviously a strong one, and more than that, it was wily, with a rumored arsenal of techniques far beyond what you could even comprehend.
“That’s good,” you said.
“It is. They’ll all make a full recovery; Maki and Panda were barely impacted, anyways,” she said. Your blood ran cold at the name she didn’t mention.
“And Inumaki?” you said. If something had happened to him…you weren’t sure what you’d do. Probably cry. A lot.
“He’s fine, just a bit shocked. See, the curse managed to take his cursed energy from him, so until that’s been replenished, he’s just a normal person,” she said.
“Huh?” you said. “What does that mean?”
“Why don’t you just ask him yourself?” she said, ushering you into the infirmary, “I know that’s why you’re really here.”
Maki and Panda were nowhere to be found, and Shoko groaned, muttering about irresponsible children and telling you she’d be back with her patients in tow once more. This left you alone in the room with Inumaki Toge — at once your biggest dream and greatest fear.
You did not speak for the first few moments, far too nervous to open your mouth. He was buried in a mountain of pillows and blankets, soft blond hair falling in his violet eyes as he flipped through the pages of a book. His zipped up collar was nowhere to be seen; he only wore a plain white t-shirt, leaving his snake-fang seals visible. You had always thought they were pretty, so then your nerves were overtaken by infatuation with the elegant markings. The end result was the same: when Inumaki looked up, it was to you awkwardly standing in the room and watching him read.
“Hello,” he said. This made you pause and think.
“Hi?” you said.
“How are you doing?” he said. Now you really were confused.
“Not that I’m complaining, but can’t you…not speak?” you said. He set his book on his nightstand and sat up with a heavy sigh.
“Normally, I can’t. But as of right now, I can. That’s the effect of that curse we fought. I have the most cursed energy out of the three of us second years, so it drained mine, which means I’m unable to use my technique until my energy’s built up again. Shoko estimates it’ll be about a week,” he said.
“Oh!” you said. So Inumaki had one week of talking normally before he would be back to his usual limited speech. You wondered what he would think to say.
You had met Inumaki on your first day at Jujutsu Tech. He had helped you find your dorm room and then, via text, warned you about Gojo’s antics. Your crush had been born the very same day. He was so beautiful and kind that it was almost a no-brainer, really; though he could only speak in rice ball components, you didn’t even care. You found solace in swooning at him from afar, and every conversation you had ever had with him since then was filed away in a special corner of your mind, played on repeat whenever you were bored.
Nobara thought you were crazy when she found out, asking you if you had an ingredients fetish and then teasing you for a solid day by moaning tuna in your ear whenever she saw you. She only stopped because you started crying and begged Fushiguro’s Divine Dogs to chase her away if she got too close. The dogs were friendly enough and obliged, though you had had to buy Fushiguro several bags of candy for his troubles.
You could hear her voice in your ear right now as you stared at Inumaki, though it was thankfully not her moaning ingredients but rather her insisting that you say something. It was so easy; now, at least, he could reject you properly, with words instead of helpless frustration and a long-winded text about how you were nice, really, but he just thought of you as an annoying friend who didn’t leave him alone, and anyways, why would he ever like you?
“Can I tell you something?” he said before you could ask to do the same. Privately, you were relieved at this, for it meant you could procrastinate your confession a little further.
“What’s up?” you said, a small, childish hope arising in you that maybe, just maybe, this was it. Maybe he’d confess first, and then things would be very simple indeed. You allowed yourself to feel excitement building at this prospect.
“I…oh, man, how do I do this?” he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, a flush rising over his pale cheeks. “Ah, shit, I’ve spent my whole life wishing I could speak and having so many things to say but not the words to say them, and now that I finally can talk, I just don’t even know what to say.”
“It’s alright. You can take your time, I don’t mind,” you said politely. And you didn’t mind — whatever he had to say, you would wait around for years if you needed to in order to hear it. He ran a hand through his hair.
“I’ll just come out with it, then!” he said, nodding determinedly before locking eyes with you, “I leave you.”
It suddenly felt like you were underwater, ears ringing. Your throat choked, and pathetic, childish tears blurred your vision. He was leaving. Inumaki, for whatever reason, was leaving. And not only was he leaving, he was leaving you in specific.
“R-really?” you said, forcing a smile, though you knew it was awfully unconvincing. “Did I do something wrong?”
“What?” He seemed embarrassed, now, averting his eyes, “No, why would you think that?”
“Well, you just said…” you trailed off helplessly.
“Oh. I thought you would be happy,” he said, his voice quiet, small, ashamed. He looked almost brokenhearted, though why he would be feeling hurt about this development, you could not be sure. He was the one making the choice to leave; you were the one fated to stay behind.
“Why would I be happy about that?” you said. He was dejected when he spoke next.
“Never mind. I don’t…I don’t know what I was thinking,” he said.
“I’ll still support you,” you said, steeling yourself to flash him a watery smile, “I hope we can still be friends.”
“Yes! Yes, please, please, I know I messed up by telling you this, but I don’t want us to stop being friends,” he said.
“I’m glad you told me, though. I’d rather not be left in the dark. Have you told anyone else yet?” you said.
“No, though I’m sure Panda suspects it,” he said before shifting uncomfortably to pull his blankets up and hide his face, “Can you, um, go? I want some time alone.”
“Right,” you said, “I’m glad you’re not hurt permanently.”
As you left, you thought you heard sniffles coming from the lump under the blanket, but if he really was crying, he gave you no other indication of it. You thought of lingering, of comforting him and asking him to comfort you, demanding he tell you the reason for his departure, but it was not your place. So, biting the inside of your cheek to hold your tears back, you marched towards Nobara’s dorm.
“He told you he’s leaving you?” she said, ten minutes later once you had explained to her the entire story. “How odd. And he hasn’t told anyone he’s transferring yet? Not even Gojo or Principal Yaga?”
“No,” you said, finding solace in her warm embrace, the scent of roses that wafted off of her skin, “I just don’t understand why he’s going.”
“It’s so strange. I mean, I really thought he liked you! Although, maybe he does. Think about it, you’re the first person he’s told, so clearly he trusts you a lot!” she said.
“You don’t have to lie to make me feel better,” you said, “Regardless as to his reasons, it remains that he’s leaving me. At least he said we can still be friends, though.”
“Wait!” she said, and there was a conniving smirk on her face that spelled trouble, “I have an idea. Let’s throw a surprise going-away-party for him! Even if you don’t confess, at least it’ll show you care about him. And maybe we’ll be able to figure out why he’s leaving and where he’s going, too.”
“We have to do it before the end of the week, then, that’s when Shoko estimates his cursed energy will be back to normal and he won’t be able to talk anymore,” you said.
“I doubt you’d be complaining about that, Miss Ingredients Fetish,” Nobara said.
“I don’t have a fetish for ingredients!” you said, wriggling out of her hug and glaring at her.
“Oh, really? So you won’t get all hot and bothered if I say ‘salmon,’ right?” she said.
“No!”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, Nobara, I’ve never been surer of anything in my life,” you said.
“Salmon,” she said, panting dramatically and clutching her chest. You threw a pillow at her, knocking her off of the bed in a fit of laughter.
“You suck,” you said.
“You swallow,” she shot back.
“Ugh! You’re hopeless!” you said, throwing your hands in the air.
“I’ll text the group chat to make plans for the party!” she said. You gave her the finger and stomped out of her room to go sit in your own and mope about the fact that Inumaki was leaving.
Really, this was probably a good thing. After all, with him gone, you didn’t have to worry about him accidentally finding out about your crush. And maybe you’d even be able to move on, though you had no idea who at this school would measure up to Inumaki.
Nobara’s plan was sound, though. A going away party would be perfect to wish him one final farewell — provided, of course, that you were able to keep it a secret from the boy. This was easier said than done, but you were determined. You would make Inumaki’s party an occasion to remember, but this meant you had to call in some help.
The first thing you did the next day was video call Okkotsu, who was currently in Africa, training with a sorcerer named Miguel. You had to track down Maki and beg her for his number; she had been very confused but had given it to you anyways.
This left you staring at your phone screen, praying he would pick up. Inumaki and Okkotsu were best friends, so it would be wrong to not tell the black-haired sorcerer about your plans. He also might have some insight as to where Inumaki was going and why he was leaving.
“Hello?” Thankfully, Okkotsu picked up, looking extraordinarily confused. There were dark circles under his eyes and a katana strapped to his back. Despite the fact that he looked battle ready, he was just sitting on a couch and shoving chips in his mouth. “Who is this?”
“Okkotsu, sir! This is Y/N, I’m one of the first years at Jujutsu Tech,” you said.
“Okay. Don’t call me sir, it’s weird and I’m only a year older than you. Is there a reason you’re calling me?” he said.
“Yes, there is. See, Inumaki —” you began before he cut you off.
“Ohhh, you’re that Y/N! Yeah, yeah, I completely approve,” he said.
“Did Nobara already tell you?” you said.
“No, Inumaki’s been telling me about this for months now! Who’s Nobara?” he said.
“Months? But we didn’t even start planning until yesterday,” you said.
“He’s been dreaming of this day since the beginning of the year, even video called me and everything! I don’t think I’ve heard him say ‘salmon’ as many times in a row ever before or since,” he said. Unbidden, you remembered Nobara’s actions from yesterday and shivered before shaking your head to clear such thoughts from your mind.
“Do you know why he…you know?” you said. If Inumaki really had been planning on leaving for so long, then certainly Okkotsu would know why. The boy hummed and nodded.
“Yeah, for sure! But it’s a little weird if I say it, you know? Against the bro code or whatever, and it’d feel a bit too much like I was trying to slide in, which I’m not! Just ask him, I’m sure he’ll be delighted to tell you. God, he must be so happy right now! I wish I could be there to see it,” he said.
“Well, that’s actually why I called you. I’m throwing a surprise party in honor of the occasion, and I was wondering if you’d be able to come, or at least video call in,” you said. Each word Okkotsu uttered was like a stab in the heart, further reinforcing the fact that Inumaki really, really, really didn’t like you. Why else did he make plans to leave the literal day he had met you? You only wished he would’ve gone sooner so that your feelings did not build up and compound from a simple admiration into something greater, something beautiful and untouchable yet twisted and cruel.
“Sounds like a great time! Just video call me, I’ll be sure to pick up. And I’ll try to send something along as a gift, too! Damn, I know it’s not my news to be excited for, but it feels as though my heart’s going to burst!” he said, popping a final chip into his mouth before hanging up. You stared at the phone’s black screen for a second, marvelling at how this short conversation had made you feel even worse about the status of your relationship with Inumaki.
Before, you had believed that the two of you were friends, at least. You both had gotten along well enough — you would train together and slip each other notes with book recommendations. He had told you his favorite restaurant and described exactly the meal you should order, and you had introduced him to your favorite television series. Yet with the latest revelations that your discussion with Okkotsu had brought about, it was clear that all of this was Inumaki doing the bare minimum to tolerate you until the day he could leave.
Maybe he was glad that he could speak, if only for a short time. It allowed him to tell you in no uncertain terms that he was going away. If only he had elaborated back then! If only he had said that he felt such a way about you from the very start instead of leading you on with candy-sweet platitudes and feigned affection.
With Okkotsu’s presence now confirmed (and a gift apparently on the way), you moved on to the next thing you had to do in order to prepare for the party: recruit the other second years.
You decided to start with Maki. Though she was seemingly brusque, she was also a caring girl, and you knew she’d be thrilled to help throw a farewell party for one of her closest friends, even if she had not known he was leaving until just now.
As expected, she was properly enraged upon hearing the news.
“He’s leaving? Leaving where, exactly? The only place he’ll be going is hell, because I’m about to punch him so hard that that’s where he’ll end up!” she said, balling her fists, a vein popping in her forehead.
“Woah, hey, Maki! I don’t know where he’s going, but please don’t confront him. I don’t think he wants people knowing, and I want the party to be a surprise. He might get suspicious if he realizes that you know,” you said.
“Stupid idiot, won’t even tell his own classmates that he’s going,” she muttered, “I’ll keep your secret. But I will be committing violence at the party.”
“Please don’t!” you said, distressed at the thought, “I want him to have a fun final memory of Jujutsu Tech.”
Her eyes softened when she looked at you, and she nodded begrudgingly. “Alright. Your secret, and your party, are safe with me. I won’t tell a soul! Although, you know…a surprise farewell party would be a great place to confess your feelings.”
“How — how do you know about my feelings?” you said.
“Firstly, you’re not exactly subtle, the others are just really oblivious. Secondly, Nobara mayyyy have let something slip,” she said.
“I’m going to kill her,” you said.
“Don’t,” she said.
“No, I’m seriously considering it,” you said.
“If you do, I’ll ruin Inumaki’s party,” she threatened.
“Fine!” you whined like a child, “I’m going to go talk to Panda.”
The large bear was asleep in the sun when you reached him. You nudged him with your foot in an attempt to get him to wake up; thankfully, he did, blinking his beetle-dark eyes open sleepily and sitting up when he saw you.
“Panda, I need your help,” you said seriously once you were sure that you had his undivided attention.
“What’s the matter?” he said.
“Inumaki’s leaving, so I’m throwing him a party,” you said. Panda furrowed his brow, clearly trying to process this development.
“He is?” he finally said. You nodded, a small frown tugging at the corners of your lips.
“Yeah, he literally told me as much! He was all like ‘I leave you,’ and it was kind of upsetting, actually,” you said.
“How interesting,” he said finally, and now there was mischief in his expression, “And you need my help with hosting a party?”
“I don’t know how much of a party it’ll be, exactly, I mean it’ll only be the first and second years, but yes, basically,” you said. He chuckled, rubbing his paws together menacingly.
“Excellent. Yes, I’d love to help! And it’s a surprise, right?” he said.
“Yes?” you said. He looked almost evil at this point, baring his teeth in his version of a smirk.
“Even better.”
With the second years thusly recruited and the first years taken care of by Nobara (you wasn’t sure what, exactly, she had over Fushiguro to convince him to join in on the festivities, but judging by the sour expression on his face when he RSVP'd to you, it had to be something), the guest list was complete. Panda assured you he’d get Inumaki to come without being obvious, and you were happy to entrust the task to him.
This left you to go shopping for party supplies, using Gojo’s credit card (Fushiguro had told you where it was hidden). You had convinced Nobara to stay behind, claiming that she needed to hold down the fort in your absence and get started on cleaning the room you’d use for the party. That was a lie, of course — you actually just didn’t want to take her shopping with you. If she came, you wouldn’t be back before midnight, and the party was supposed to be tonight.
“Where are you going?” Inumaki said. You almost screamed at the sound of his voice; you hadn’t expected him to just manifest out of nowhere, and especially not when you were trying to sneak out of the school in order to buy things for his surprise party.
“Shopping!” you said.
“Can I come? I feel like things were kinda left off weirdly last time we spoke, and I hoped we could try to fix them,” he said. You were unused to hearing him speak so many words at once, and you were mesmerised for a second before you mentally slapped yourself out of it.
“No! You cannot come. Sorry,” you said, feeling bad. You wanted nothing more than to talk with Inumaki, to talk and talk until your throat went dry and your words ran out, but if he saw what you were shopping for, then he’d catch on to the plan.
“Oh. Is it because I told you — ?”
“Absolutely not!” you yelped, cutting him off, not wanting him to get any ideas, “I’m shopping for personal things. Like tampons.”
“I don’t really mind that,” he said shyly, “I don’t think tampons are gross. I mean, they’re only plastic and cotton. I just really want to talk with you.”
“Sex toys!” you said.
“Um, what?” he said, taken aback. Your face was hot with embarrassment, but you needed him to understand that he was not allowed to come shopping with you. So you locked eyes with him and tried to repeat yourself.
“I am going shopping for, uh, you know…I mean, you heard me!” you said.
“Right!” he said, and he was so completely red you almost called him Clifford, “I’ll leave you to it, then! I guess we can talk later.”
You gave him a fake smile and a thumbs up, staying frozen in place until he had disappeared from sight. Then, with a wail, you called Nobara.
“I fucking told him I was shopping for sex toys!” you said, not even waiting for her to greet you like usual. There was a long silence on the other end of the line before someone cleared their throat.
“This is Fushiguro,” he said. You promptly hung up and cursed your luck. You should’ve sent Nobara to do the shopping. You really, reallyshould’ve sent Nobara.
That evening, as the sun set over the horizon and Panda distracted Inumaki, the rest of you decorated the room that Nobara and Yuji had cleared earlier in the day. Maki and Nobara were too busy whispering amongst each other to actually help, though, and you were hiding in the corner, too terrified of his reaction to even glance in Fushiguro’s direction. For his part, he did an excellent job of ignoring you, leaving him and Yuji to do the majority of the setting up.
When anxiety made it difficult to breathe, you began to fiddle with the projector, where Okkotsu’s face would be shown once he called in to the party. The green light was blinking, which meant that it was ready to go and was only waiting for you to connect your phone to it.
“It’s going to be fine,” Nobara soothed you, placing a hand on your shoulder, “I think he’ll be thankful you planned something like this at all.”
“And I still think you should confess your feelings,” Maki said, adding her unwanted opinion, “Seriously! If he rejects you then it doesn’t matter, because he’ll just be leaving soon anyways. I think you should consider it.”
“She’s right,” Nobara said, “Here, maybe this’ll motivate you.”
She leaned in until her lips were barely brushing against the shell of your ear, cool breath tickling against your neck.
“What are you doing?” you said, unamused. She pitched her voice lower before speaking.
“Bonito flakes.”
“You little — stop doing that! I do not have an ingredients fetish!” you shouted, hitting her shoulder repeatedly. She burst into raucous laughter, tears of mirth gathering along her lash line.
“I’m going to have to request you to please stop talking about your intimate life in front of me, please,” Fushiguro said uncomfortably, “I already know far more than I ever wanted to.”
“Fushiguro, it wasn’t like that, I was shopping for party supplies! I only said the other thing to throw Inumaki off the trail,” you said.
“Okay,” he said, obviously not believing you but allowing you to pretend, “Whatever you say.”
“Shh! Panda and Inumaki are on their way!” Yuji said, interrupting the conversation by hushing all of you obnoxiously, “Everyone, positions!”
You all ducked behind various pieces of furniture, and one of Fushiguro’s Divine Dogs hit the light switch, plunging the room into darkness before it melted into the shadows once more.
A second later, the door creaked open, revealing Inumaki and Panda’s silhouettes standing in the frame. From beside you, Nobara began to giggle, and you pinched her in an effort to get her to shut up. It worked, although it did have the unfortunate consequence of her pinching you back.
“What’s going on here?” Inumaki said, turning the lights on. As soon as he did, you all (with the exception of Fushiguro, of course) leapt out at him. He fell backwards in surprise, staring up at you through thick lashes.
“Surprise!” Yuji said.
“It’s not my birthday?” Inumaki said.
“Do you see a cake anywhere?” Nobara said, “This isn’t a birthday party, it’s a farewell party!”
“A farewell party? But who are we saying farewell to?” Inumaki said in confusion.
“You. Did you think we wouldn’t care about your departure? You idiot, we’re going to miss you so much!” Maki said, sniffing and wiping away a tear.
“Let’s all go around and share our favorite memories with Inumaki,” Yuji said. Inumaki seemed dumbfounded, so Nobara took the initiative to respond.
“That’s a great idea! I’ll go first — I really enjoyed the one time he let me paint his nails,” she said.
“I don’t have any good memories,” Fushiguro deadpanned, “But if I had to pick a tolerable one, it would be when I convinced him to use his Cursed Speech on Nanami.”
“I remember that!” Maki said, howling in laughter, “And I can’t pick a favorite memory. We just have too many good ones.”
“Same!” Yuji said, and he was bawling now for some reason, “You’re just so cool, Inumaki! I’m so sad that you’re going!”
“Y/N, what about you?” Maki said.
“Confess! Confess! Confess!” Nobara chanted, not even trying to be subtle about it anymore.
“Be quiet!” you said.
“Do it or I’ll do it for you!” she said. You looked around at the audience; they all seemed interested, even Fushiguro. Though you wanted to talk to Inumaki in a bit more of a private setting, Nobara and Maki were right in that this was the perfect time to say something. So, taking a deep breath, you faced the boy.
“Inumaki,” you said, “I know that I’ve been acting weird recently, ever since you told me you’ll be going, but that’s because I don’t want you to. See, the truth is that I love you. I think I have for a while now, and I’m going to miss you, and I don’t want you to go, so please don’t. Please stay.”
He blinked. “Huh? What do you mean? I never said I was going anywhere.”
“Yes you did!” you said, pointing at him accusingly, “I remember it! That day in the infirmary!”
“I didn’t say I was going anywhere, I said I leave you!” he said.
“That’s the same thing!” you said indignantly, “You’re getting upset about semantics when I just confessed that I love you, idiot! Doesn’t that even mean anything to you?”
“No? I’ve never heard of that word before!” he said.
“Love? You’ve never heard of love before?” you said. He shook his head.
“Nope,” he said.
“L-O-V-E. Love. That rings no bells?” you said. His face suddenly went snow-white.
“L-O-V-E is pronounced…love?” he said.
“How the hell else would it be pronounced?” you snapped, feeling far too bewildered and irritated to soften your words. How could he have treated your feelings so flippantly? How did he just not understand love?
Inumaki suddenly found the floor incredibly fascinating. “...leave.”
“What?” You said.
“What?” he said innocently.
“OH MY GOD!” Nobara squealed, catching on far quicker than you, “You both are idiots!” Finally, you began to understand, and then you were inclined to agree with her.
“So you’re not going anywhere?” you checked.
“No, I’m not,” he said.
“He hasn’t been able to speak for practically his entire life,” Panda said, shoulders shaking with laughter, “Can you blame him if he mispronounces a couple of words now and then? It’s not like anybody’s ever corrected him before.”
Mispronounced words. He had mispronounced one of the simplest words in the English language, and it had led to all of this.
“You’re not leaving,” you said again, drawing closer to him, “You’re not leaving me.”
“I won’t ever leave you if you don’t want me to,” he said, wrapping his arms around you in a warm hug.
“Don’t,” you said, “Please don’t.”
“I love you. That’s what I meant to say all along,” he said.
“I guess I threw this whole party for nothing, then,” you said, hiding your face in his shirt.
“Is this what you were shopping for earlier? Not…the other things?” he said.
“Yeah. It was just a surprise, so I didn’t want you coming along,” you said, feeling bashful at how entirely silly the entire affair had ended up being. He let out a warm, gentle laugh that caused his chest to vibrate against your cheek.
“It’ll be hard, you know. Once this week is over, I’ll be back to only speaking in rice ball ingredients,” he warned.
“That’s probably for the best. Less room for misinterpretation,” you said.
“Plus, she has an ingredients fetish!” Nobara chimed in. You withdrew from the safety of Inumaki’s shirt to scowl at her.
“Enough with the ingredients fetish!”
A knock at the door interrupted the tense showdown; Panda opened it to reveal a delivery man, who was holding a package and fidgeting, probably out of fear, considering he was face to face with a giant, sentient panda.
“I have a package from an Okkotsu Yuta, addressed here?” he said. You slapped your forehead.
“Shit, I forgot about him! Thank you,” you said, accepting the box and then quickly calling Okkotsu.
“Hey, guys!” he said cheerily. His phone must have been set up against the wall of a building or something, because it showed him busy using his katana to exorcise curses and not even breaking a sweat, “Sorry, this isn’t a great time, but congratulations on getting together! I hope you like your present — hey! Stay away from the iPhone!” The screen abruptly went dark as a curse swiped at Okkotsu’s cell phone, knocking it down while the sorcerer snarled.
“Open the present!” Yuji said excitedly.
Inside of the box were two bright pink t-shirts. Both of them had white lettering on them — one said I’m Okkotsu Yuta’s Best Friend Foreverand the other said I’m Okkotsu Yuta’s Girlfriend-in-Law.
You all stared at them, expressions varying from amusement to delight to horror. You didn’t even question how Okkotsu had known that you and Inumaki would confess to each other. Clearly, he already thought you both were together, so it was really just divine timing in that sense.
Somewhere in Africa, Okkotsu finished exorcising the curses and sheathed his katana, casting aside his jacket to reveal a bright pink shirt that said on it in white lettering, I’m Okkotsu Yuta.
“Maybe they’ll let me third wheel,” he mused to himself, “I mean, they had better, considering how hard these shirts were to find at the thrift store.”

Been projecting myself into Percy Jackson lately so here’s a little doodle
Tumblr media
After a little identity crisis, I think I’ve settled on being a daughter of Athena and legacy of Nemesis who eventually joins the hunters of Artemis. Super simple and straightforward hfjdjfjjdjdjdkd
Gonna yap I guess and treat her like an oc that’s just me bc it’s easier to approach that way
-so her name is Lea (short for Azalea but she rarely actually goes by that)
-so daughter of Athena right? Well the interesting thing about that is she’s sort of an anti-Athena kid? In that she sort of opposite to how the other kids are
For starters, she is not the leading or strategizing type. That stuff stresses her out too much (doesn’t mean she wouldn’t technically be good at it, she just be struggling). Her “strategizing” generally manifests in overthinking and thinking through every possible outcome and knowing how to be prepared for it.
She’s also very avoidant of the spotlight and doesn’t struggle with hubris. She’d much rather play a support role. While some credit for things would be nice, she definitely doesn’t want any extreme accolades.
Lastly, she’s quite the burnt out gifted kid. She used to read a bunch, but now she can’t force herself to do that. She’s a school hater and especially a math despiser. Her love for knowledge manifests in her random deep dives and hyperfixations on specific topics where she’s overcome with the desire to know absolutely everything about this one topic or she will explode.
-her Athena-y traits come through in other ways tho. For starters, she love the arts and especially loves weaving type things like crocheting, knitting, friendship bracelet making, etc. She also enjoys debate type conversations and making good points and just generally knowing stuff. She is very perfectionistic which causes her to have really high standards for herself and those around her which leads her to isolating more often than not. Like her mother, she’s not interested in romance; she’s much rather focus on her platonic relationships (they’re hard enough to keep up as is).
-she’s also a legacy of Nemesis (her dad is a child of Nemesis). This manifests mostly in a really intense need for fairness and justice and wanting to put arrogant people in their place. The fact that Athena is already a goddess of justice also just kinda amps this up a bunch.
-her fatal flaw is probably fear/low self-esteem tho her low self-esteem could be rooted in fear so you knowwwwww she’s got a bunch of fears and things that have a big impact on her so she has to be intentional about pushing past them otherwise it very well could be fatal
-she can communicate with owls and has an owl friend named Toast
-joins the hunters at 18 ish probably right about when she’s ready to move on from camp
Yeah that’s sort of what we got going and like I only doodled her hunter outfit so you know but I love this it’s so fun fjdjdjdjdjdjdfkspfi I just have to do all this official lore stuff in order for my brain to let me use her in my scenarios ^^ it’s weird man but idk i just work here

Five Ways SentiAdrien is a Retcon
Adrien’s a sentimonster now, but he wasn’t always. Here’s a list of things that wouldn’t have happened if Adrien was a sentimonster:
Chat Blanc
Epehemeral shows us what happens in a world where Gabriel Agreste learns his sentison’s identity. Chat Blanc shows us what happens in a world where Gabriel Agreste learns his human son’s identity. If Adrien was a sentimonster in season 3, then Chat Blanc would have ended with Gabriel winning just like he did in Ephemeral. But it doesn’t because season 3 Adrien was a real boy.
Gorizilla
Nooroo: Master, you don't really think Adrien could be Cat Noir?
Gabriel: I don't know. But he's hiding something for sure. Since his bodyguard has failed to keep an eye on Adrien, there's only one way for us to uncover his secret.
Yeah, put on one of the slave collars and say, “Adrien, tell me what you’re hiding from me?” Problem solved! Except Adrien wasn’t a sentimonster yet, so Gabe had to use an akuma instead.
Felix
As of season 4, Felix and Amilie know that the Agrete’s wedding rings are amoks, so why were they so obsessed with getting their hands on them back in season 3? What were they planning to do with Adrien? Why did Amilie think that was a reasonable request? There’s no way that she’d hand over her son’s ring! Easy answer: the twins cousins weren’t sentimonster yet and the rings weren’t that special. That’s why that plot goes nowhere and why Felix’s actions don’t match his actions after they decided that the boys were sentimonsters.
Origins
Adrien keeps sneaking out of the house to go to school and Gabe just yells at him, never using the slave collars. Plausible, I guess, but still hard to buy given how controlling he is. Why wouldn’t he use one of the rings? He already doesn’t care what Adrien wants and Gabe does not get meaningfully more controlling as the show goes on (it’s part of why season 5 completely fails to make him feel worse in my book).
Miracular
Cataclysms drive Sentimonsters insane, but kill humans, so Chat Noir probably should have gone insane here. Along similar lines, the fact that akuma powers work on him like a normal human is super weird because Adrien isn’t a true human. Can he break his bones? Does he even need to transform to fight? Do all sentimonsters have the ability to use miraculous? I have questions that this show will never answer because the answers don’t exist. That would require competent, well-thought-out lore.

Okay so, unpopular take that applies specifically to my Service Animal AU: Shadow and Maria are not siblings/“sibling coded.”
If you’ve read the notes on the original lore post describing them, you probably already know what I mean. While they can and will have moments of inspired ‘sibling’ like love for each other, that’s simply too disingenuous a way to describe them. They’re so much more. They’re each other’s only friend, they’re charge and ward, they can mimic the attitudes of siblings but never fully understand them, they have no romantic interests (until sonic shows up) and so mimic certain attitudes in that way with each other as well. But all of these are mere approximations and mimicry without fully encompassing any of those relationships. Shadow’s “affections” can be easily misconstrued for holding more weight than they actually are intended, as gestures such as hand holding/cuddling/purring are all utilitarian expressions meant to ease Maria’s physical discomfort or anxiety in accordance to his job as her service animal. Nothing more, nothing less. Maria knows this, but others can and do easily make their own assumptions.
I’ve been a little nervous to express this interpretation as I feel it can be really easily misunderstood, and I don’t want to give people the idea that even the immensely “”romantic”” or affectionate gestures or affiliations applied to them are actually meant to be shippy. Their love is an all encompassing one, and to call it sibling-like or romantic are both incorrect, as they’re neither. Ultimately applying any real world label to this au will be incorrect and a little too extreme in either direction; the closest possible relationship that may most accurately describe them is that between a service dog and their owner, if such a service dog was as intellectually capable of their human.
They’re what you get when you’re the only two people in your whole world. They’re what you get when you pair together someone who’s indebted to the other for their existence, which goes both ways. And by normal relationship standards, I would disagree to consider it a ‘healthy’ dynamic, but it also cannot be judged by the milestones of what a normal and healthy dynamic even looks like.
Shadow is nothing without her (in his own mind), and this lends itself to an inability to conceptualize a ‘self’ to even express. Maria hates how Shadow views himself — a tool, a trained dog, a guard, a companion of necessity — but she also can’t avoid using him accordingly. That means having no choice but to treat him not as a person, but as her crutch. Shadow is little aware of her internal struggle with the dehumanization of him because they communicate this almost never. Nor does he mind being dehumanized, he has never been a ‘person’ since the day he was created anyway.
Maria would love nothing more than to call Shadow a little brother, her best friend, someone who she could’ve had take her to prom because nobody at her school wanted to indulge the sickly child, nor did anyone even know her well enough considering she spent most of her time out of school than in it. She’d love to call Shadow these normal things, but she can’t. Not yet at least. Sonic will slowly change them and the way they can view friendship and the world and what it means to belong to each other, but it’s hard work on Shadow and Maria’s part.
They are something that can’t be easily defined, because it’s complex, and messy, and while there are bright moments of wonder and joy, is also overwhelmingly dark in its implications, and they can feel utterly alone even when standing right next to each other. Shadow owes Maria everything, and Maria owes Shadow everything, but each underestimates the full gravity of how their own existence touches and expands the other. They consider themselves worthless compared to the other, and that’s what gets in the way of them truly being able to open their hearts to each other. The way Sonic later teaches them HOW to open their hearts.
So yeah. I hope this concept of blurring the lines doesn’t scare too many folks, but this is based on my personal interpretation of how I feel a continued existence between them in canon or a canon adjacent world might have been like. I know it’s easy and delightful to see em like wholesome siblings — which is also an interpretation I wholeheartedly endorse and adore, particularly the way my bud @ratrrriot draws them (please go follow them if you don’t already, their shadow and maria artwork is to die for!) — but this is just a slightly different and admittedly darker take on them that I hope won’t ruffle too many feathers. Sibling coded relationships between characters are so wonderful, but in this case doesn’t feel satisfying or like it can possibly cover the scope of them for this particular au. I dislike labeling them or comparing them to another dynamic, like Sonic and Tails who are very explicitly brotherly with one another.
I may make a separate post on Sonic’s impact in this world and how he touches the lives of Shadow and Maria, Helen (when she comes along), and this world’s version of Robotnik (Julian) if people are interested in that. I take a lot of inspiration from his characterization in the Adventure games and Sonic X for this AU, as he’s most closely canon-aligned compared to Shadow and Maria who are a little different; though I’m gonna try my best to fit their “canon” personalities into a completely different scenario. Such as, Shadow lacks the innate hatred he has for mankind as he never loses Maria, but he will retain the “my body is a tool” mentality and the general uncaring of others opinions of him, etc.

Hi I I aorry if this is a bad request but do you think you could write something with Annabeth where you're her Athena sister?
I wrote general headcanons since there wasn’t a specific prompt. If you want smth in particular or smth expounded on, feel free to ask!
Tumblr media
I’m gonna mix in book lore and tv show lore
Remember I don’t have perfect memory though so be easy on me
Anywho-
Being Annabeth’s older and accomplished sister means she admires you but is also jealous
I don’t think the jealousy leads to her trying to sabotage you or anything but I think it’s obvious to spot
You have a special eye that she wishes she had
Annabeth is great at architecture and noticing small details, but nothing slips past you
If she notice small details, you notice micro details
If she’s great at architecture, you’re perfect at it
If she’s a great captain, you’re a perfect captain
You let her run the team to be nice. Apart of her hates it but the other is appreciative
I think she’d appreciate it more if you gave suggestions and helped in places where she lacked
I think that hubris thing would slip in and she wouldn’t wanna accept the help but then she’d realize you have points and she’d give in
I think having Annabeth as a younger sister means watching how her and Percy’s relationship grow
You’re the first to be like “so, Percy? When are you two getting together?”
She denies it, very loudly may I add
“What?! Me and Seaweed Brain?! HA! US? TOGETHER? NEVER!” “…” “…” “Seaweed Brain and I. Guess you can’t think while you’re crushing”
It aggravates her that you seem to know everything before it happens
You two have the most realistic sibling relationship in your cabin
Sometimes other campers try to watch Annabeth’s temper
Not you
You two poke at each other, you stress each other out, you make each other laugh, you give her advice, you comfort each other, you challenge each other, you do it all
After Luke’s betrayal Annabeth is pretty sensitive so you try to be there for her and fill in the empty roll Luke left
You’re working double time
Considering you’re her older sister, you also help when it comes to training
I don’t mean in groups, I also mean one on one
But naturally, that also means you’re very hard on her
It’s for her benefit. She’ll understand that one day if she hasn’t already. It’s to make her the best warrior possible
Being Annabeth’s sister means giving her womanly advice also
Athena ain’t there and Chiron is not teaching any of that shit. Let’s be fr
That’s what also adds to your bond
It’s not like you’re only family when you’re at camp
You’re family and still help each other even when you’re out of camp
And you don’t just talk about camp and monsters
You talk about other shit in the world
Yeah, don’t die by monsters but you know what else will fuck you over? Not doing your taxes.
I feel like I also have to address when Annabeth was taken
You obviously wanna be apart of the team that goes to get her, and tbh if Percy wasn’t the main character and had to be the 5th person, you’d go
Whenever she returns, you’d check in to make sure she’s alright and try to keep her spirits high after seeing Luke
Off topic but dare I say y’all build Lego shit together?
I just feel like if you can’t build actual buildings, use Legos
Since the two of you train a lot, especially one on one, y’all balance each other really well
Take the two major battles for example. The one at camp in BOTL and the final showdown with Kronos in TLO
Anyone going against the both of you would get hit repeatedly
And I don’t mean only one of y’all are swinging, I mean both of you are playing off of each other
The modern youth would call this “jumping”-
That doesn’t sound as beautiful though
If she’s throwing a left, you’re on the right
If she jumps to hit the enemy high, you’re sliding to hit the enemy low
If she’s grabbing someone, you’re delivering the final blow via stabbing
You spend so much time together, your minds are practically linked
When one of you is injured in battle, the other will make sure to aid them, even if neither of you are nurses
After TLO, Annabeth is told she can rebuild Olympus in her image
Guess who she’s asking for help?
You of course
When you eventually leave camp to do your own thing as an adult, it’s very bittersweet
Bitter because you’ll miss each other and won’t be able to talk to each other late at night
Sweet because you’re both in good standing with each other, Iris messages, and you both know you’ll do great things on your own journey
When she needs help though, she’ll call you
And you’ll always answer
Because you’ll always be family
You promised
That ending was corny asf. I’m sorry.
I’ve only read the PJO series so far. I’ve been procrastinating on the others, so I only mentioned those books. And if her personality ain’t 100% accurate, my bad.

I forgot the Miraculous Awakening movie was supposed to come out so now I’m gonna ramble about it (spoilers!):
The jumpscare of hearing Marinette sing in a completely different voice took me off guard
I’m loving actually seeing gabriel as a fashion designer and what his stuff looks like
Chloe sounds… very much not like Chloe and it’s off putting (idk if it’s a different voice actor, I’m not looking it up)
“Think you an I were meant to be” I love Alya
Emilie? This clearly in the movie??
Was that Luka I just saw next to Juleka? At school???
The black cat on the book!
Adrien looks so pretty in that shot
Are… are Nino and Adrien already friends??
Gabriel’s hair
The loss of Emilie seems to be a lot more recent/present than in the series
Ohhh it’s her birthday
The lore is very interesting in this, we’re getting a lot more that wasn’t there in the show
So the miraculous have a choice in this for their holders I guess
Fu is so funny
The moon!
Was… was the black cat a coincidence? How did it get there? I don’t think it was Plagg so what was that??
So the first akumatized victim is not a child this time
There’s a ladybug too? I’m so confused
“Who saves a life saves the world” interesting that it’s more prophecy-like
I keep forgetting this is a musical
I love the beats of the theme song though
Is- is Tikki rapping???
No transformation sequence?
So she’s aware it’s a musical?
Is the yo-yo sentient???
No Adrien and Plagg intro scene?
Adrien is so funny he’s so excited to be a hero
Pretty different ladynoir dynamic, cat noir’ not immediately smitten
“A she-ro” please no
She called him Kitty!
CARELESS WHISPER???
Now he’s smitten
“Like a dream in a dream” Adrien you have to work on your lyrics
But the moon
Fart jokes? Really?
PTFAFS
Adrien going from she’s my side kick to she’s better than me in every way
Puss in boots
“I have nothing to lose” um your son??
Gabriel villain song kinda goes hard ngl
Is he making multiple villains? I’m so lost
Are they making Mr. Mime a real villain now? Not Mylene’s dad?
Also who is this pink haired lady?
“Dr. Love” Nino I love you but you’re so wrong
So Nino already has a crush on Alya and not Marinette
Aww Tom gets to hear Marinette call him the best
Only to immediately think she’s embarrassed by him
Nino losing his glasses on the ride is legit my biggest fear when going on rides
Transformation sequence!
Where did she actually transform though? She was just in the middle of the fair
They learned to work together fast
So I guess he doesn’t need to say the word cataclysm?
I love Ferris wheels rolling around scenes
Lmao Marinette really went I’ll save your life but you’re going in the dumpster
The timeline of this movie is very confusing, Nino is in love with Alya? But wasn’t it just the first day of school? Or was it just in the middle? When did Nino and Adrien meet? I have so many questions
Was the balloon thing a person? If not who created him and how?
THEME SONG!
Are we really getting all this adrienette development in a montage?? He told her about his mom, they went to the movies, they had a double date with Alya and Nino, and were barely getting it???
I love the glitter in Cat Noir’s mask
Ladynoir moment by the moon!
Marinette stood up to Chloe!
Adrien you cannot scare a person like that
The hearts in the balcony and the moon again!
I’m loving the visuals in this movie
“For the first time I feel truly free, it’s all thanks to you” my heart!
Ladynoir seems to be the main ship of the movie and I’m not mad about it
Oh my god their dance by the moon! I knew it was coming but I love it so much!
“How could I ever think she’d fall for me” Adrien stop she does love you she just doesn’t realize it’s you
Gabriel looks like shit and I’m glad to see it
I’m glad Adrien was able to stand up to him though
She actually managed to ask him out holy shit!
I mean I know it’s sad cause he rejected her but she actually managed to do it look at her!
I… did not think her shirt was a tank top this is so weird
Hawkmoth is akumatizing himself???
Careless Whisper again??? Are the writers ok??
Did they really need the takeout death?
The- the moth miraculous just… ate the ladybug miraculous???
I guess they don’t quite have cataclysm and lucky charm, their powers work a bit differently
Gabriel’s face at seeing Adrien, now you finally see what you’ve done you SOB
I’m glad they get to reconcile
So she can just… fix everything without a lucky charm??
Her dress is so pretty!
And she’s not wearing a mask!
The reveal in this is so interesting but pretty cute!
The way she took off his mask and put it on her was so freaking cute!
Really? Cut to the end right before the kiss??
So he does have Emilie in the basement?
Wait a minute I don’t think we ever got to see Chloe and Adrien interact in the movie lmao
The movie started a bit more cheesy and childish but overall they did a pretty good job of telling the story. The visuals were stunning, though the story was a bit rushed but they did a good job. There wasn’t quite enough time to develop the characters and their dynamics but they did the best they could with the time they had. The person who did Marinette’s singing voice was amazing, but I wish they found someone who sounded more like Marinette if they couldn’t use the same voice actress. The lore was a bit different but I kind of like it better than how much we started getting in later seasons, I just wish we got a bit more explanation on some things cause we don’t have the show to give us answers anymore. The only reason I feel like this ending with gabriel and Adrien works is because they didn’t have as much of an abusive relationship and he actually had a chance to redeem himself, but I’m glad he has to actually deal with the consequences. I know there are tons of fanfics about it but it’s so sad that while Marinette knew who Adrien was, he had no idea if he’d ever see Ladybug again but I’m glad that got resolved pretty quickly. I’m confused on what they want to do next cause they clearly were setting up for some kind of sequel but gabriel is already out as Hawkmoth and Nathalie only helped him during that time but I guess we’d just have to wait and see.

Lovers' Crest | Chapter 12: The Visit
Tumblr media
Din Djarin x f!Reader
Masterlist
Summary: You have more questions than before. The same goes for Din.
Word count: 1.8k
Warnings: 18+ MDNI, slow burn, non-canon (the Razor Crest never gets destroyed, it also gets upgraded with a cabin), post season 3, Calvinball with canon and Mandalorian lore (making it up), light angst.
A/N: A short chapter here, will post the next one fairly soon. Been an interesting week to be a Din Djarin/Pedro Pascal fan hasn't it? Hope you're hydrating! Thanks for reading, big love.
--
The leader of the revived Mandalorian people is not so proud as to deny you to work on her speeder. She has a refreshing air of keen intelligence and frank regard. You like her.
Bo-Katan Kryze stands beside you as you fiddle with a mess of pistons and shaft lines. She asks an occasional question, but mostly looks out across the work site. Her people move about with quiet efficiency. They’re on a ranging operation – a huge group surveying a ruined city. Din had said he needed to go out there to see her – pay respects or something. So, after a terrifying meeting with a leader named simply, the Armourer, your group of three had flown the Crest out to join them.
The shade of the hangar is surprisingly cooling in the rocky, hazy clime. You spy Din by himself across the expanse, lifting crate after crate from a transport tray and stacking them neatly against a craft. You make a mental note to bother him later about adequate rehydration.
You’ve decided the person standing next to you is your best option to ask about what’s been gnawing away at you in the time it took to reach Mandalore. She and Din seem to hold each other in a profoundly high esteem, and you can see she deeply cares for him, and Grogu.
And, since Din’s big speech about the ‘sacrifices’ you made and the ‘honour’ and ‘loyalty’ you exhibited in retrieving that beskar cache, she’s ensured you’ve been welcomed and your offers to assist their rebuilding efforts accepted.
Although it was mostly when she’d reached up, removed her helmet and looked you dead in the eyes that did it. When you realised there was so much here you didn’t know. So much about Din Djarin the Bounty Hunter. So much about Mandalorians. What little you’d gleaned from discs and stories. It was nothing at all.
Still, it was just the one question you couldn’t shake at the minute. Just ask it. She’ll give you an honest answer, you think, then you’ll know.
You twist a coil of wire around and around the kit, worrying at it over much as you force the words out.
‘What does sha--’ you pause on the unfamiliar word, push it around your mouth. ‘What does shareekah mean?’
Bo-Katan turns to you sharply, but keeps an even gaze that takes in your pinched features and nervous fiddling with the bit’s end.
‘Cyar’ika?’ she asks, putting more softness on the final syllable than you had managed.
‘Sure, yes. That,’ you strip more rubber from the coil and continue twisting.
You glance sidelong at her, see Bo’s eyes soften. Then you look out into the glare. She follows your gaze to see the lone figure straighten and stretch out.
‘It’s a form of endearment,’ she murmurs. ‘Generally, it means “darling”, “or “sweetheart.’
The part ready, you slip it into place, plugging the ignition gauge into the new switch you’ve created, trying to remember how to breathe. You can handle this.
But, Bo continues. ‘It’s meaning is contextual though. In certain contexts, it can also be held to mean, “most beloved”.’
Oh. Force the new question past dry lips. ‘What kind of contexts?’
‘Oh, I don’t know,’ she shrugs, arches a brow. ‘Bringing a stranger with no clan to a secretive people’s home world and convincing everybody present it was a really good idea?’
You jam the speeder’s hatch closed a touch too hard. Bo looks back at you. You give yourself a shake and huff, ‘Okay, she’s ready.’
A couple of flicks to the dash and the machine hums to life.
‘You’re going to see a lot more room at the top end now. And the glide will be tighter. I suggest heading out somewhere flat and opening her up.’
Bo-Katan gives you a small smile, a hand on your shoulder. ‘Thank you,’ she says. She replaces her helmet and swings a leg over the saddle, wasting no time zipping out from the sheltered spot. The engine roars overhead a moment later and you hear an honest-to-gods, ‘Wooooo!’ fade out.
That makes you smile. It’s a relief.
Another speeder glides in and you prepare to begin again. The towering rider dismounts and takes up a stoic vigil behind you, leaving you to your thoughts. You glance up and see Din out in the sun, looking back at you.
After witnessing a compelling ritual of armoured Mandalorians filing through a mess tent, some taking to gather around dotted fires to remove their helmets and eat, and others stepping away, fanning out to private spots – including Din, hand first squeezing your shoulder gently – you excuse yourself, begging fatigue, and head the short distance back to the Crest.
The dusk air finally brings a cooling breeze, and you settle on letting that carry your simmering nerves back down to the earth. Seating yourself in the opening of the ship, feet thumping out a nervous pattern on the ramp, you breathe the sharp air and try to calm. You’d been growing aware of the true depth of Din’s feelings for you – even before you’d finally reckoned with each other. The conversation with Bo-Katan confirmed it. And now you’re left to wonder why it has sparked such a sharp panic within you.
There was no question you’d fallen hard for Din Djarin. Who wouldn’t? You thought you’d experienced great, epic loves before – but they all paled compared to this.
A problem was that when those old romances had crashed and burned, you’d never been sure you could piece yourself back together. And now this. What would happen to you if you lost this? You angle to the side and lean hard against the wall of the Crest, willing its cool hard surface to draw you down into yourself. It seems to hum back.
‘Be honest,’ you say aloud. Am I completely fucked?’
Silence. Your breath ghosts against the wall of the ship.
Another problem was the one that had settled hard over you since stepping foot on Mandalore. This was a devout people, with a troubled and difficult history. The customs and culture were rigid, out of a survivalist’s necessity. And, as far as you could tell, their beliefs revolved around mystic superstition and ancient scriptural doctrines. Even the more pragmatic among them, like Bo-Katan herself, had an air of fateful intent around everything they said and did.
It had all given you the distinct feeling that what you and Din had found together did not fit into their way.
Even if it did, what did it mean?
What did the love of a Mandalorian mean, ultimately? Where were you heading? What was Din expecting? You know he takes it all incredibly seriously – it’s his identity. How do you fit into all this?
You don’t know how to ask these questions. So, with an avoidant will, you push them to the side. Ferry them away like so much else. For now, you think dimly.
Out of the darkened evening, you spot a pair of lights heading for you. Din and Grogu emerge into the glow of the Crest a moment later. Grogu hurries forward to hop into your lap and you nuzzle the top of his head, enjoying his content purr and feeling calmness wash over you finally.
Din takes you in, huddled in the door of the ship with his son. ‘Shall we get some rest,’ he asks, approaching you with a hand outstretched. You take it and stand, letting him crowd you around and into the hold.
--
Later, when you’re asleep against his chest, cool breath tickling his neck, Din once again thinks back to his conversation with the Armourer.
After depositing the beskar and engaging in a stilted exchange of formalities, you and Grogu had been dismissed. You’d shot him a puzzled look as you followed the kid out. A what-the-fuck-is-her-deal kind of look.
Once alone with the Armourer, the two of them had sat down and discussed the best use of the beskar.
‘We have many needs, now that Mandalore is revived,’ she’s saying. Din just nods and agrees with whatever she suggests, flattered to accept an upgraded flamethrower. He’s just waiting for the inevitable. The Armourer’s perception and intuition were always an intimidating thing.
And sure enough, once the ingots of precious metal have been allotted, she goes still and stares hard at him.
He waits. Feeling not entirely ready.
She looks to the door you’d exited through, then returns her gaze to him.
‘You have coupled,’ the Armourer says.
‘Yes.’
‘She is not Mandalorian.’
‘No…’
A long, pregnant wait. She leans in.
‘Have you ever removed your helmet?’
‘No.’
‘Has it ever been removed by others?’
‘Never.’
‘This is the Way.’
‘This is the Way.’
She stands and strides to her forge.
That wasn’t so bad, he thinks. But then he’s thrown.
‘Do you know why we follow the Way, Din Djarin?’ she asks. He’s not sure what answer she is seeking. ‘The main reason?’
Once again, he waits.
‘To survive,’ she says. ‘We have been a diaspora, carved apart and hunted. We’ve followed the Way so we may continue. Do you think that holds true now that we are a united people of Mandalore?’
She turns back to him, seems to be genuinely waiting for an answer. He says, in all honesty, ‘I don’t know.’
It hadn’t even occurred to him to question it.
She tilts an appraising helm at him, moves back to sit opposite him again. He’s never witnessed her so restless.
‘Neither do I,’ she says, low and intense. He’s floored. ‘But I contemplate this question, every day, seeking the answers for the good of our people. As I do so, you should contemplate the questions that plague you now. Where do you fit? And where might she?’
The Armourer lets that shockwave wash through him. Then, changes the subject.
‘Your apprentice, Din Grogu, is due for his first Sojourn of the Will with his fellow students. There is one coming in a single moon’s turn. It is an important undertaking for every apprentice.’
Din welcomes the change in the course of this discussion and thinks. He knew he would have to face Grogu taking part in one of these things eventually. Had been dreading it actually. But it had to happen sooner or later.
‘I suppose now is a good time,’ Din ponders. He doesn’t want to be apart from his kid. But the Armourer’s right, it is an important rite of passage.
And, it means alone time with you. Time to figure all this out.
Time to tell you how he truly feels, maybe.

(I am ambivalent about the movie announcement - swinging hard in positive-negative directions. But I don't think I like the new artwork that came with it at all. Something about the light reflected on Din's helmet is giving me BSG Cylon vibes? And is that an exploding ship he's jet-packing away from? Because if so, how is the poor child breathing...? Anyway, those are my thoughts byyyye.)

XOLGA UTSUGI from XOLGA AND MR. TOKO
Tumblr media
JUSTIFICATION:
"Okay I'm pretty sure none of y'all know this character but. Look at my bbygirl. Teddy bear babe. She is my queen. My goddess. My pathetic little meow meow with childhood trauma and daddy and mommy issues. I would kill for her. I would die for her. Anyway submitting this bc I love Xolga and I am down bad for him HARD (hes so fucking hot. He is literally the hottest out of EVERY Pacthesis character.) but I've been imagining him genderbent and. She won't get out of my head help. I think I've fallen in love with her. She's my wife now sorry and we're married (kinda joke bc she’s canonically aromantic) so yeah. She gets turned into a teddy bear but before that, she’s human and HAWT. Like Pacthesis/Amy did a poll and Xolga was most popular. They had to turn him into a teddybear to contain his husbando energy because he would be too powerful otherwise. Can you imagine if more people knew the games how many people would be fucking simping for this man. GOD SHE WOULD BE SO DAMN HOT AS A DETECTIVE WOMAN IN A SUIT. (I could also imagine him as a trans guy, he could go either way but. LADY XOL. Iove herr). Excuse my cringe, pathetic, corny ass simping but uhhhm. Girl Xolga. Grumpy lady who wishes to punch her problems away and escape from it all and is tired and done with shit 24/7. She has a gun, a fist, a dream, and a genki adoptive brother (Mr. Toko) who is a trained marksman. She goes through time loops. She met her past self. She’s a dimension-hopping dream babe. She fucked up her cousin’s hair. She worked as a store clerk on the planet Uranus. I want her hair and suit and her gender. I want to be her. She’s mine. Even her beauty aside, I genuinely think Xolga (and Mr. Toko) are probably some of the best-written of Amy’s non-simdate works characters. I wish there was more on their lore bc I wanna know more on Mr. Toko’s backstory with the organization, and stuff like that. But even if the second season is the end I think it’s already a very good and satisfying end as it is. Perfect end for them. But also I’d love more because I LOVE MY BOYS. And I’d love teddybearboy just as much if he were a girl, which if she were she’d be my soulmate, even just platonically." - Anonymous

Until Dawn Character’s D&D game headcanons:
I saw some fanart a while back about how Chris got the group together to learn D&D to cope, after the events of the night. And it amused me because I believe Chris canonically plays/knows about D&D. He references it when calling himself “Spirit Master” during the seance. And the idea of this group playing Dungeons and Dragons amused me. I wrote this up a long time ago.
Chris/ DM, and he works hard to be an enjoyable one and to create a compelling experience; his overall story is pretty good. He does do that thing where he creates a villain or monster and it takes the players a while to realize it’s basically some stupid pop culture character built of D&D terms. Or the group will realize that an entire side quest amounted to a stupid pun.
Sam/ Chose to be a wood elf druid. She was stoked when Chris mentioned animal companions. She has a black bear, and she wrote more lore for her bear than her own character. She brings healthy snacks to the sessions. She is usually the one to call the session in favor of sleep and tries to deescalate fights when she can.
Josh/ Chose to be a half-orc bard because it amused him (he’s an artificer the next time he builds a character, though). He wrote a very detailed, violent, tragic backstory that made the rest of the group a bit worried. Frequently, he goes “Okay but can I—”then proceeds to give a completely outside-the-box and wacky plan to Chris, and Chris has to scramble to figure out how to react to that. Josh ended up getting the group to move from Chris’s house to his house, and then he created a super awesome setup for them with a screen built into the table and a cool sound system and everything. He will often ask to seduce monsters.
Emily/ Picked a human rogue. She acts like the whole thing annoys her, but has picked up the game really quickly and is very adamant about her opinions while playing. Several times every sessions, she goes: “DO A PERCEPTION CHECK!!” She wants to be the one to divide loot because she feels like she knows who it should go to best.
Mike/ Chose to be a dragonborn paladin and was super enthused about how cool it sounded. He rushes into things and, typically, it actually works. But once, he initiated with an enemy way above their levels because “Come on guys, we can do it,” and Emily died. She was so mad that she wouldn’t play for a month. Mike tries to seduce female enemies and random NPCs all the time. He probably has a wolf companion.
Ashley/ Chose to be a changeling bard. This caused a fight between her and Josh. They kept arguing about who could be the bard until Chris assured them that they could both be bards. She wrote the most well-conceived backstory for her character. Chris subtly flirts with her through the NPCs.
Matt/ A human fighter. He’s not so sure what’s going on a lot of the time, but is happy to be there and very pleasant to the NPCs. He spams the same bludgeoning attack each round. He chooses to be a human fighter each time he has to make a new character. Note: Emily chose to be human because she liked the versatility of the race. Matt chose human because he’s a human in real life.
Jess/ She’s a fairy cleric. She completely picks favorites and heals Mike at a disproportionate rate to the others (if this happens while Emily is still dating Mike, then she’d be saving Emily a lot. Because Em is her girl). She frequently likes to describe how hot her character is.

Any lore for your oc and her relationship w/ muds? 🥒🥒
AHAH oh god, it’s rough.
It’s like an enemies -> kinda friends -> friends -> friends with benefits -> lovers for a very brief time -> bitter exes -> coworkers and friends (with sometimes benefits) -> strangers
More under the cut
It’s complicated and nothing really ends well. They started out as apartment neighbors pre-gorillaz in 95/96-ish, and they HATED each other. (This takes place in London btw because I like to think that she frequented Rick Black’s Record Shack often. I know he was in Stoke in canon, but I also think Murdoc could potentially live in different cities or towns during his search for potential band members or his many questionable and odd jobs. At least right before Phase 1).
Until she went to one of his failed gigs and offered a cigarette to console him for getting booed off stage. On a whim, she invited him to her gallery show, which also was a failure because the gallery printed the wrong date on the flier. He was the only one who showed up because he remembered the correct date. They started hanging out, then fucking around until they decided to start dating. But it was an on and off relationship cuz his priority is to become famous and honestly he’s pretty scummy. Murdoc moved back to Stoke, and I think she’d move elsewhere too.
Eventually she dumps him for good and they go on their separate ways until he reaches out to her on D Day after getting arrested and tries to convince her to bail him out (he lied saying he was framed and he was just a pedestrian walking by LMAO). She does not bail him out. But she does hang around because she found out he has to take care of Stuart and she knows that Murdoc is NOT a reliable caretaker. She doesn’t try to involve herself too much though since they’re exes and it’s just overall weird for her. Eventually, Murdoc offers her a job at Kong Studios to be a storyboard artist since she’s been stuck working a couple of shitty minimum wage jobs and despite him being an asshole, he does care about her as a friend at least. She ends up taking the job but is only around for phase 1 and 2 because Murdoc’s inflated ego when he reaches fame is hard for her to be around. There’s a lot of tension between them (sexual/anger/sometimes romantic but that’s very rare) during this time while she’s trying to be professional and do her work. After the tabloids found out they used to be a thing and took that out of context photo, it really strains a lot of things because she didn’t want to be in the spotlight, especially as being known as his ex. She gets harassed by paparazzi and he doesn’t care too much.
There comes a point where she has enough and she got a great art gig out of it, so she leaves him. This is around the time when Noodle “passed” and the movie failed to happen and his whole band is falling apart. So Murdoc has this psychotic breakdown and flies to Mexico. All the while he’s in denial that she left him for good and keeps calling her phone to leave voicemails of how angry he is, how much he misses her, updates on where he’s at, etc etc. She never picks up and eventually blocks his number from calling. I should mention that during this breakdown, he’s convinced that she’ll come back and stick around like she always does and for some reason thinks she’ll meet him in Mexico.
She moves back to the states and goes to rehab all the while. They eventually meet each other again years and years down the line, but she’s married and he never forgot her. (Those love songs on plastic beach are about her). They never end up together, but at least there’s closure.
Tumblr media
This is their dynamic btw. Out of all of them, they’re the most like Bojack and Diane.

More of Milo, and you know what? Heck it I’m gonna do a lore dump as well.
Plot
Milo is really bland guy. He’s got a basic fashion sense, has no talents, no friends, and no ambitions. Until one day when an amulet falls from the sky and hits him in the face while on his way to school.
Nothing happens until much later in the day when the town is attacked by an unknown galaxy like creature and he transforms….into a really uncomfortably girly fit, but he’s got a whip so now he can fight the monster. He very unceremoniously strangles whatever it is and untransforms.
When he’s returned to his normal state a very angry lion familiar bursts out of the amulet to yell at him. Turns out he was never meant to get this amulet and turn into a magical girl, the amulet was actually supposed to go to the clumsy pink-haired girl who’d been standing next to him at the bus stop. But she’d hopped on a bus right before the amulet fell out of the sky.
The lion familiar (Lee) is really pissed off because if Milo hadn’t triggered the transformation then they could’ve just found another way to get to that girl from earlier. But now they’ve fought together they’re bonded and neither of them can do anything about it. Milo’s confused, Lee’s pissed, it’s generally not a fun time for anyone.
Eventually (after a really awkward silence), Milo asks about whether Lee can change his magical outfit. Lee reluctantly agrees even though they rlly liked the outfit they made up before (the outfit in the art above is the new outfit).
From there they’ll meet the other girls in the group and over time Milo becomes the leader of the group, finally becoming less boring.
The magical world
Now that we know the plot (or well the shell of it), let’s move onto the magic system.
So I didn’t make this clear before but all the magical girls represent a Zodiac (Milo is obviously Leo). And all of them have a special animal as a second theme:
Aquarius: Seal
Pisces: Some kind of fish
Aries: Ram
Taurus: Bull
Gemini: Bunny
Cancer: Crab (specifically a yeti crab)
Leo: Lion
Virgo: Swan/Peacock (I’m still deciding)
Libra: Owl
Scorpio: Scorpion
Sagittarius: Horse
Capricorn: Seahorse
They each have three powers: Moon power, Sun power, Rising power. Their rising power is the weakest but they can use it multiple times if they need, it’s based off of their Zodiac’s element and normally involves their weapon. Milo’s for example is a fire whip kinda thing.
Their Sun power is stronger but they can only use it once per transformation. It’s based off their special animal. Idk what Milo’s is yet, what I had planned worked better as his moon power.
Speaking of: their moon power is their strongest move. When they use it (which can’t be often because it drains their familiars a lot) they go into a trance like state and their special animal forms around them. The power they can use in this state is based off of their Zodiac. For example: Milo can use a power called ‘Nemean wall of Fire’, which is a huge fiery shield he can summon and use to protect himself or others (main character type power yk).
Both the person and the familiar have to be in sync with one another to use these powers, so there needs a bond between them otherwise the magic might not work properly. This would be explored later once Sagittarius is introduced as she uses a wheelchair and so if her transformation goes wrong then the support she needs could disappear (I’ll explain it more once I have her design down) and that would suck real hard for her because then she wouldn’t be able to move without leaning on something. So for her the bond is vital. And that gets explained to her and everyone else in the group.
Anyway this is all still a work in progress so any suggestions are welcome. :)

Hey! I would like to know more about Evelyn's amnesia because amnesiac characters fascinate me. :) Was it a traumatic brain injury? Was It related to the gravity gem? Does she ever get flashes of her old memories? What would have to happen for Evelyn to get all her memories back?
Yeah this took long I was overthinking 😅 Anyways
(Slams fist on table) YOU. YOU ASK FOR EVELYN LORE?? (Technically anyway.) I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT. I HAVE BEEN ASKED TO OC RANT. THIS IS SO SO GREAT. I’VE HAD THIS IN MIND SINCE SHE WAS BEING DRAWN. SHE WAS JUST TRYING TO GO AND HAVE FUN.
Bit of a long post warning bc it will basically be an Evelyn lore post, as her amnesia led to a BUNCH of things happening with her lore wise.
So, to set the scene and all that, I want to go to a little bit before THAT happened. Evelyn grew up in a multitude of places, due to both of her parents being archeologists who weren't around often, but still cared deeply for their two kids. It inspires Evelyn, who wants to go off and explore new places in the world that they’ve never been to before. And now that she’s old enough to do so, she’s waving her family goodbye. Kit doesn’t want to see her go!! :(
But she makes a promise to her little brother, that regardless of where she ends up, she’ll always come back to see him. She’d never forget about him! She and Kit were always really close, despite all their petty sibling arguments. Played around and joked a lot…he would miss that.
Her parents are all over the place about this. Does she know where she’s going??? Does she have a set plan?? Where will she stay? Did she pack everything she needed for this kind of thing? We’ve been traveling for a long time, you know, you know what you should be bringing right?? Oh god what if she gets lost??? What if she’s not happy where she ends up?? Of course they support her but it’s kinda risky when you think too much about it-
Evelyn ASSURES them that she’ll be fine XD She has a set first destination place, knows where she’ll be living, has a method of transportation she’ll need to get to, AND KNOWS HOW TO, DON’T WORRY, and she’s sure she’ll be very happy there. And don’t worry, she also has a set date to come back and visit (Kit is already marking his calendar.)
With that and a bit more being said, she’s finally off! Her family was currently in this really weird area…she thinks her parents were involved with some kind of cave exploration? And that’s why they moved near here? (Don’t ask how there is a house near this place. It’s for the plot. I haven’t thought about the logic of that specifically yet XD) Not seeing any caves around here smh…..
Turns out they were underground caves. Everything goes downhill from here :D
Slight misstep, the ground apparently wasn’t very solid at this point of the long journey just to get to transportation from this area, and it caused her to fall through. Upon impact with the ground after the long fall, she passed out, suffering a severe traumatic brain injury. (Not dead! Somehow. Plot.)
Much later, she woke up with no memories. No memory of why she was here, where this was, why she couldn’t think, why she felt so, SO dizzy, nauseous, why everything was blurry and confusing….why was she bleeding? Maybe if she could get up, she could find out why…?
Well that made everything feel so much worse.
Trying to walk was hard. She was all shaky and unbalanced. Something bugged her to keep going, though. She didn’t know what, but it was there. So she did, even if it felt awful. And, after what felt like an eternity…light? Light that hurt her eyes…everything else was dark. Maybe that was where she had to go.
Soon enough, rocks. Many rocks. Beneath a pile of large ones,  she could see a faint glow. A bluish one? Maybe she should try and get it out…she can’t move the rocks, they’re far too heavy. That was a dumb idea. Obviously better one : there seems to be a crack in between these rocks where the glowy thing is glowing. Put the hand in.
Confused and very much unable to think clearly, she made an attempt to reach in and grab whatever the source of the glow was. It only resulted in her hand remaining stuck in there. After a little while things seemed hopeless. She had just doomed herself in the stupidest way possible! Great work, Evelyn. (Where did that name come from…?)
Then, she had decided to give up struggling.
There was soon a searing pain on the back of the hand trapped in the rock pile. She could do nothing but scream, it wouldn't stop, the light was becoming brighter by the second. Unknown to her, the glow had come from a strange gem that had, too, been stuck between the rocks. And it was forcibly attaching itself to her own hand. Burning away at her glove so that it could fuse onto her fur. The pain was eventually over, and the burning feeling stopped, but Evelyn felt far more drained then before. To this day she claims the gem "saved her" from what would have been an eternal prison. It had some kind of special power... like it could manipulate gravity itself. Both she and the rocks had floated, after all. What other explanation was there for that? After she escaped from the cave, she was found by Eggman, who took notice of these odd abilities she seemed to have. Although the cause of this was probably the gem on her hand, she could still be useful. Perhaps there would be some way to remove it and dispose of her later (there was not. There were attempts. She has scars to prove it. But she agreedto everything, so…)
Thus, Evelyn instead ended up joining the Eggman Empire, with no memory of her past other than the cave incident, and this. Its all she knows, and oftentimes she wonders why that is. Even so, she learns to adapt to her new life, gaining a newer, (annoyingly, to some) sassier personality. She once rivaled with Starline, but quit shortly after he was fired, realizing she wanted to do and find things out her own way, do whatever SHE chose to do, rather then just following Eggman around all the time.
As of now, she is on a team with Starline (ironically, although they still do despise one another.) and Doleon, which is called "Team Gem." She isn't around all the time, but even so is the most qualified to be called their "leader" of sorts. She's still very lost on her past, but tries to convince herself that if she hasn't been able to remember it for all this time now, then it probably wasn't worth remembering, and that she should focus more on the now. Whether or not that was for the best...she tries not to think to hard about that one.
Her parents and Kit had no idea what had happened to her. Was she lost? Had something bad happened to her? Had she gotten too caught up in her adventures and forgotten to pick up the phone? Every single time…? Had she lied when she said she would come back…? That doesn’t seem like her. They also notice how it’s affecting Kit, too. Look at him, his ears are droopy all the time now…clearly he wasn’t in a good state. They’d still try and look for Evelyn, but Kit needed a lot of comforting. He thinks he’s been abandoned by his own sister…
…Where did he go??
>:D
Now, as for the other two questions :
She doesn’t exactly get flashes? More like feelings. Feelings that a certain thing or place or person might be familiar. Extreme deja vu. Never ends up going full circle into a revived memory though
I don’t know if she CAN get her old memories back tbh. Maybe a few, if something really big happened, but never all of them. She’ll never have her whole past back. But that’s okay, the present is pretty great for her, it seems. Why live in the past at all?

Title: alter the course Fandom: Final Fantasy VII, Crisis Core FFVII, Pokemon Rating: T Relationships: none Length: 2k words Where to Read: Archive of Our Own Notes: I wrote this piece for Of Fantasy and Monster, a Final Fantasy VII/Pokemon crossover zine, as their guest writer! It was super fun to get to explore this fusion universe, and I'm super stoked to eventually write more for this AU (I had so many ideas, it was really hard to figure out what lore to cut and what to keep!)
Tifa had tried to make light conversation, at first. She’d stopped pouting when Sephiroth and Zack entered the reactor, instead asking Cloud what his name was, and how he liked Midgar, and what did he think of the SOLDIERs?
Cloud kept silent, heart hammering in his chest. His stomach in knots, he clenched his hands on the grip of his rifle to keep them from shaking. He didn’t dare to open his mouth, instead resolutely scanning the treeline and leaning his weight towards Zack’s Leafeon.
He cannot speak to Tifa. His throat feels dry and thick, like the words will stick. He hasn’t lived up to his promise, yet — how could he face her? He’s merely a private who’s failed the SOLDIER exam twice. He can’t even keep his squad safe; he winces at the thought of Evans, lost to the Nibel Mountains. There’s no way he could be the hero Tifa dreamed of. His face burns in shame at his boastful words two years ago.
Leafeon butts her face against his leg. Zack had proclaimed she was there to assist Cloud with guard duty. Cloud knows she’s really there to soothe his own nerves.
Tifa has given up on conversation now. She’s leaning against a tree, arms crossed and eyes closed. The noon sun shines brightly overhead, making Cloud sweat under his helmet. Tifa’s Sentret — a familiar face — and Machop — that one’s new to Cloud — are play-fighting nearby. He misses his Shinx, left in his Ma’s care when he left home. Maybe he’ll visit his Ma tonight.
An odd stillness settles over the clearing. Cloud tightens his grip on his rifle and scans the treeline. A shiver goes up his spine, and the hair stands up on the back of his neck.
Something isn’t right.

I feel like info dumping about my MCD OC and her family lore etc
Quick pronunciations: Eserty (es-er-it) Yrva (ear-vuh) Björn (byorn or byern) Aerdna (air-d-nuh) Lihcem (lie-chem) Zerimar (zair-i-mar)
Ok so her FULL name is Eseryt Yrva Björndotter of Barton. She is the long lost bio sister of Cadenza. They were separated when Zerimar was attacked, and they stayed that way for 13 years, until Eseryt was guided by the sentient forest to Phoenix Drop. Eseryt is a siren (though she doesn’t know until later) who’s name means ‘to perceive.’ She is able to read people like a book, but is practically impossible to read herself. If you manage to get a good read on her, it’s either because she let you or because its how she wants you to see her.
Cadenza’s full name started as Cadenza Yrva, but became Cadenza Yrva Zvahl when she was adopted by Jo and Hayden. Cadenza is a siren who’s name means ‘beautiful voice’. Her given magicks is an advanced version of her siren abilities. Not only is her voice literally beautiful, but she also has a way of making other do as she says, without needing to sing.
Their parent’s names were Aerdna and Lihcem Yrva, mother and father respectively.
Aerdna was a siren who’s given magicks was her beauty (I know how original, she didn’t pick it), and she was a teacher and nurse. She was a kind and loving person, though sensitive and self sacrificing.
Lihcem was Second in Command Guard of Zerimar, who’s name meant power. His given magicks was his great strength: physical, mental, and emotional. He was a strong and smart man, but selfish and arrogant.
Björn is a turned werewolf who found Eseryt the night Zerimar was attacked, just after she’d lost Cadenza. He took her to Barton and adopted her as his own. He had just lost his wife and son, and had she not been there he might have lost himself. His wife Amelia, had always wanted a daughter. He felt like he was meant to protect her, that he’d found Eseryt for a reason. She was with him from ages 5-18, never allowed to leave Barton for her own safety. Björn tried to explain to her that the rest of the world wasn’t as peaceful and loving as Barton, but Eseryt felt pulled towards the forest and has the need to explore and wander.
One night she waited for him to fall asleep and left into the forest, where she was guided to Phoenix Drop and reunited with her sister. Es didn’t return for nearly 20 years, 15 of those years not being of her own choice, seeing as she was quite literally in another dimension. When she did return, she was different, Björn could tell. She was a shadow night, and in danger.
In my rewrite’s conclusion, the Island of the Phoenix Alliance becomes comprised, so Eseryt takes everyone to Barton for refuge. Shad eventually tracks them there and that’s where to final battle is: Just outside the village.
Now this is where it gets extra angsty and whumpy:
Travis, who is in love with Eseryt and vice versa, is injured pretty badly during the battle. Eseryt stops what she’s doing to get him to the village so he can be treated. After the battle is won, and Shad is killed once and for all, Es goes to see Travis. He’s barely conscious, mostly from blood loss. She steps outside to talk to Lucinda, who’s taken over his treatment as well as most of the other injured people. As she’s telling Es that he’ll be fine, Eseryt suddenly collapses. Absolutely no sign she was going to whatsoever. She’s freezing cold, more so than a shadow night should be. She goes to alert the others only to find them panicking because Laurance and Vylad have also suddenly collapsed, at the exact same time no less. Everything had been fine moments before, they were laughing and celebrating.
They’re all brought to the inn, the one that Björn runs. It’s determined that this is bc Shad is dead, and he was somehow keeping them alive. It’s hard to live with only half a soul, so they’re bodies shut down. When Travis is finally healed enough to be conscious, he asks for Es, and is informed by none other than Björn of what’s happened.
Oooookay that’s enough of that
I could talk about my OCs for literal hours but that’s not what you’re here for
I just had to let some out before I exploded… just like Aaron… hehe
