Killer’s persona is exaggerated and over the top, with performative or extreme actions and reactions, but in reality he feels little to nothing.
A lot of this is also rooted in what I know of Killer and NM. Killer’s relationship with Nightmare mirrors the dynamic between someone with HPD and a manipulative ATP. With Nightmare, Killer constantly exaggerates his abilities and behavior to gain attention, seeking recognition and validation (through conditioning as well) . He is also easily manipulated by Nightmare, whose awareness of Killer’s emotional insecurities plays into his suggestibility.
In terms of HPD, Killer most closely aligns with the Theatrical subtype.
There’s also this weight of having HPD in which your subconscious actions to gain the attention of others and to feel something deeper than you do (which contributes to why you act performatively) don’t align with your wants or needs
Also, this reading is deeply rooted in my personal experience as a pwHPD and having a sibling with HPD so some of it I can't get into
I see major parts of myself in multiple of his presentations
I'm struggling so much to put this into words but I hope some of the point is getting there
There's also so much to talk about it's difficult lol
Ooh that’s an interesting take.
If we go with the “canon” stuff rahafwabas has drawn of killer and nightmare, I’ve always believed that killer seeks to avoid nightmares attention unless it benefits him to have it (or he can control when he has it), because he does things like sweat, grimace, and attempt to lean away somewhat when Nightmare touches him, flirts with him, or talks to him—and sweats when talking about or thinking about Nightmare, at least in Stage 2.
(Although very important to remember to that, when in Stage 2, Killer has said that he does “kinda miss that guy,” even when he’s seems somewhat aware that Nightmare uses him.)
But that’s an interesting take too. I personally don’t think Killer wants Nightmare’s attention or recognition, or even gets jealous whenever someone else has it, it’s more like he needs it to ensure that he won’t be deemed useless and discarded and replaced soon—needing the validation that he’s still useful enough to be allowed to exist.
And of course, whenever he wants to feel real—through pain, and feeling that sense of power and control if he can convince himself he has a say in when or how he is suffering.
I get what you mean about these things sometimes being hard to put into words. If you ever want to share more thoughts, my inbox is always open and im always willing to listen. 🙏

Since it’s disability pride month, let’s all remember that people with NPD, BPD, ASPD, and any other cluster B disorders are NOT inherently bad people, are NOT destined to be abusers or serial killers, and should NOT be stigmatized for their disorders. Also, the term “Narcissistic abuse” is ableist and also complete bullshit. Yes you can be abused by a narcissist, you can be abused by any type of person. But your abuser having NPD doesn’t make what you experienced a whole different type of abuse. I was emotionally abused by someone with brown hair, but that doesn’t make me a victim of “brunette abuse”. So stop fucking using that term. There is nothing you can go through that makes it ok to further stigmatize a disorder.
If you have ASPD, NPD, BPD, HPD, you are not destined to be a bad person. Having a personality disorder is not your fault in any way. You deserve love and acceptance.
Happy July.

Since I'm too sick to draw him here's a little thing about my little guy, Berry!
This AU is just called Bad Dads AU, nothing fancy but its essentially a multiverse where Berry never aged to an adult as a genocide happened far before Chara fell and Core Frisk to the OT and the MTT just yoinked him
Heres just a big copy paste from the unfinished carrd :3
P.S. if you draw him i will cry
🥕 Berry is from an Underswap timeline that was doomed from the start. A human fell down before Chara would and did an all complete genocide route minus Berry himself.
🥕 Core Frisk then took Berry to the Omega timeline. Berry was around 4 at this time.
🥕 Months later after Berry turned 5, the Murder Time Trio appeared needing some healing help after a mission. Dust spotted Berry and since he had never seen a kid Sans like this, he asked Core Frisk what his deal was.
🥕 Dust, who shockingly was good with kids, had Berry hang out with the three until they were properly healed. Berry seemed to like Dust so Core Frisk allowed it.
🥕 What Core Frisk didn't allow or expect was the three to kidnap him and bring him back to Nightmare's castle. Their motive was solely because they had their own troubled up bringing, they resonated with Berry and knew no one could understand him besides them most likely.
🥕 Despite this belief, Berry does not remember anything but knew he had an older brother but doesn't even remember his name.
🥕 Nightmare was unaware of Berry's existence for a whole two weeks, assuming the boys just bought a dog until one morning he walked in on Berry eating cereal in the living space.
He reluctantly agreed to keeping Berry there
🥕 Overtime Berry met Error who became his 5th honorary dad due to Nightmare's relationship with Error.
🥕 Saejun would become his 6th honorary dad once Murder Time Trio takes him to Farmtale the first time.
🥕 Cross becomes more like a older brother to Berry over time and is why Berry likes tacos. In turn this would make Epic family as well to him
🥕 Ink, Dream, and Fresh would all become his uncles when they went to the anti void and caught Error and Berry watching undernovela.
About Berry in general:
🥕 Berry's timeline is Underswap #33
🥕 Berry does not remember his Papyrus
🥕 The only thing he has left of Papyrus is the bracelet he never takes off
🥕 When the genocide occurred he was 4 years old
🥕 He is 5 years old when the Murder Time Trio kidnap him from the Omega Timeline
🥕 He has ADHD and HPD
🥕 He sleeps in Nightmare's room for the first few months due to not being able to sleep well plus they needed to set him up a bed room
🥕 He can barely read but not write
🥕 Dust calls him Kiddo
🥕 Killer calls him Bunbun
🥕 Horror calls him Bluebell
🥕 When playing pretend they all call him whatever he wishes for that day
🥕 He is home schooled
🥕 His room is space and bunny themed
🥕 He gets agitated if they make him wear anything but his shoes with the paws on the bottom
🥕 He likes watching the boys spar
🥕 He likes bunnies
🥕 He loves space
🥕 His favorite family member is Error because his sneaks him sweets from Underfell
🥕 His least favorite family member is Ink because of his dads
🥕 He hates being alone
🥕 He likes school because his dads make it fun
🥕 He likes to draw a lot
🥕 He loves swimming and water in general
🥕His favorite location is Nightmare's garden
🥕 He loves being read stories
🥕 He loves playing dress up and his dads are more than willing to comply
🥕 He doesn't like talking about what happened because he doesnt remember so it stresses him out
🥕 He loves hide and seek but the paw's on the bottoms of his shoes him away
Family Dynamics
🥕 Nightmare and him have an odd relationship. Think of it like how a dad says they hate the family dog but spoils them. He says he could care less about Berry but spoils him and puts him before the boys. He also reads to Berry a lot and helps him with schooling.
🥕 Error doesn't like kids due to canonically not liking intense emotions such as crying but over time has gotten use to Berry. Also their love of sweets and space sort of helped Error find a way to make him not as upset.
🥕 Killer and Dust are pretty one in the same as Killer isn't to be trusted around Berry due to being a dumbass with knives and Nightmare doesn't want him to accidentally do something stupid on top of how Killers stages can be. Due to this, Dust and Killer are usually with him at the same time and usually watch TV with him and let him watch them fight one another. They also are bad influences on him.
🥕 Horror isn't that keen on kids like Error but that is because I love big Horror so he's more scared he's gonna pull a Mice of Men and accidentally hurt Berry. They do cook together from time to time, mainly just Berry watching. Berry also uses Horror to threaten those he doesn't like LOL
🥕 Cross is like a older brother to Berry, often getting him not to do stupid stuff Killer and Dust try and get him to do. They mainly just chill and Cross is like those two but not as chaotic.
🥕 Epic is just that cool annoying uncle to him, nothing more nothing less
🥕 Fresh is also this but Berry likes Fresh more
🥕 Dream is also like an Aunt to Berry (I love you trans fem dream) and hangs out with Berry if things at Nightmare's gets too chaotic and Nightmare needs at least one kid out of his tendrils. Berry is honestly the reason these two can even be in a room together mainly on Nightmares end since he wants Berry to be better than them. Berry likes Dream's positivity powers though and I like to think she can make little sparkles out of it and he gets excited over it.
🥕 He hates Ink for literally no reason but because his Bad Sans family telling him to LMAO
🥕 Saejun and him have a sweet relationship due to Berry liking bunnies so let's him take care of them if Horror brings him over and they pick berries together (heh).

One of the funniest things about my relationship with my partner ( @eternalparadisesys ily <3 ) is that in all technicalities, we don’t actually love each other. Let me elaborate on this
I have NPD and he has ASPD. We’re both autistic and due to those specific disorders, we both are incredibly low empathy. It actually cannot even feel sympathy, that’s how low empathy xe is. On top of that we’re both aromantic and acespec. So there’s not really any emotional love, romantic love, or even really that much sexual love between us
However, we still love each other in a practical sense. My partner cannot function on its own. He is incredibly high support needs due to multiple physical and mental disabilities. So our relationship provides xem with a caretaker he can trust. Whereas I am provided with a companion and a partner in crime. I am low support needs myself, but even then I couldn’t really live alone. However due to my lower support needs, I’m able to care for my partner while it provides me someone to talk to and keep me company
I also get a lot of supply from my partner. He provides me with the attention my NPD and HPD (killer combo right there ☠️) crave
And on top of that, my partner is the reason I will be able to ultimately pursue a service dog of my own one day. Xe thinks I could benefit from one and his special interest is dogs, more specifically working dogs. As a handler itself, he knows a lot about them and wants to help me acquire one for my own disabilities
Ultimately, to the public we do come across as a very loving and doting couple. Especially if we both have certain people fronting (yes we’re both systems). But in reality, that love cannot be defined by traditional means, and I think that’s beautiful
I talked about this with my therapist and her immediate response was “well that’s why the Greeks had multiple words for love” and you know what? She was right. Our love cannot be defined by eros or agape or anything like that, but pragma? Pragma defines it well
We stay with each other because there is mutual benefit to our relationship. I think that’s beautiful and we should normalise relationships forged out of mutual benefit. It’s a unique kind of bond and I would love to see it more
I guess you could call us queerplatonic but that doesn’t seem to fully cover it in my eyes. If anyone knows a better term, please let me know

The Harley Quinn show is amazing... probably.
youtube
Okay, so when I was in like middle school, I was a huge DC fan. I'm not as much anymore as I've dedicated my life to Star Wars. Now, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are my favorite femfatile villains and have been the lesbian couple Gotham really didn't want, but the LGBTQ fans needed. Both have been abused by the men in their lives and found companionship with each other. Now let see how Lily sees it.
So Lily isn't a fan of the DC universe. Mainly, her problem stems from batman saying that she stopped caring about batman when it became something dark and edgy and used the dark knight as an example of it getting too dark, which if you're gonna blame something for a franchise for getting to dark don't use the dark knight. The batman franchise has been a dark thing way before 2008. Batman, in the 85 years he's been around, has always had a dark streak. All of the villains are crazy patients with a killer clown running around a corrupted city and the main hero becoming who he is after the death of his parents. If you want to blame something for how Batman is now. Blame the dudes in charge in 1939.
Now, Harley Quinn has been the Jokers "girlfriend" ever since her first appearance in 1992. With them being an off and on relationship. Lily says that the abuse Harley goes through with the joker is never really touched upon, which is both true and not. Everyone in comics and shows knows that Harley is in an unhealthy relationship, and all have asked why she stays. It's not that it's not touched upon. it's more of everyone knowing she's not gonna leave him, no matter what he does to her. To everyone around her, they know Harley doesn't want to leave the joker, so why bother convincing her. Like Lily said, you can't help someone who doesn't want it.
Lily starts talking about Ivy and how dispirit the fact that she's a doctor (most of the villains are doctors in their own field) she sexualized except for The Batman where she's just a teenager. Then she talks about clayface being a D list villain who's now a struggling actor (he always was). While she's talking about other characters, her straw man is constantly asking Lily what she thinks of Harley Quinn herself and spoiler alert she doesn't like Harley. What a surprise.
She claims that Harley's character is boring and is only centered around the love between her and Ivy and the abuse between her and the Joker now that might be true for the show which is pretty lame if you don't want to read her comics but what makes me mad is that Lily thinks that Harley being a stand alone villain never made sense because she has no evil goal like Ivy or the penguin but the Joker also doesn't have a goal either. A villain doesn't need to have a goal to do evil things, and Harley is no different. Harley Quinn is straight up crazy thanks to the chemical dunk and has HPD (Histrionic Personally Disorder), meaning she does things for attention. She doesn't need to have a goal in mind to cause trouble, and personally, I think the scariest villains are the ones who start shit just because they could.
Lily then goes on to say that Harley is only a villain because of the people she's dating, then brings up how Harley was the Jokers therapist but threw it away because of
"Bog standard fangirl hybristophilia"
Harley was fucking manipulated by the Joker to see if he could make her fall in love with him not because she had a thing for bad boys. I have not seen the Harley Quinn show, so please tell me that's not what the writers wrote in for her backstory.
I try to watch the whole video, but her saying that a victim of manipulation and abuse did this to herself because she had Bonnie and Clyde syndrome pissed me off so much that I couldn't finish it. All I can say is that Lily really has a problem with victim characters, and we've seen it time and time again from her hating Hunter to Catra, how she's willing to end friendship to save her own mental health and completely forgetting that the person who is reaching out probably has no one else to go to. Lily has no empathy, but I didn't need to tell you that.

AITA for how I tried to convince my RP partner that not all pwNPD are abusers?
The story is basically what the title says. I'm not giving out genders/ages for anonymity, but everyone involved here is an older teenager or young adult. Someone who I used to be friends with is incredibly biased against people with Cluster B personality disorders (antisocial personality disorder, borderline personality disorder, histrionic personality disorder, and narcissistic personality disorder). In the past, she has implied that all people with narcissistic personality disorder are abusers and that all people with antisocial personality disorder are serial killers. Her reasoning for this is that she was abused in the past by someone with NPD and therefore considers ALL people with a Cluster B disorder to be dangerous.
(to be fair, I don't know if she feels the same way about BPD or HPD, since she has never mentioned either before and I don't dare to lol)
Although I was and still am scared to directly confront her about her viewpoints, I tried challenging them through the roleplays we do together. I introduced a character who would've likely been diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder if she was older (she's 17 in the RP). She was portrayed as kind and generous, so I purposefully introduced her to show my friend that people with personality disorders can be good people, even if some of them are abusers. I didn't directly tell her that the character was supposed to represent narcissistic personality disorder, as none of us list the diagnoses of characters.
This wasn't the first character with implied NPD that I had submitted. Rather, there was another character who existed at the time and was just reduced to "insecure villain," which made them rather offensive as "representation." I later removed this character, although I originally tried to "fix" the character by balancing them out with better representation. So, I definitely wasn't trying to claim that people with NPD can't be abusers, ever. Rather, I wanted to show that people with NPD have the potential to be good and bad people.
Eventually, I one day had a mental breakdown for unrelated reasons and "apologized" to my ex-friend, admitting that part of the reason I'd introduced the character was to change her mind. While I don't actually feel bad for introducing the character, I still think I'm an asshole for giving a fake apology for something I don't feel sorry about, as I apologized with the intent of pushing her away rather than showing remorse.
After that, we've kind of put up a fair bit of distance between each other. She's being nice to me because... well, I've convinced her that I'm open to her ableist viewpoints by being a total pushover (another AH move of mine, yippee /s), and I'm staying on good terms with her because I don't want the drama and hurt that comes with formally ending a friendship. I feel like this is an ESH situation, with my friend being an AH for having shitty views and me being an AH for not knowing how to use the block button, but I wanted to hear what others had to think.
What are these acronyms?

I wish we had more schizo-spec representation that was just, y’know. A Guy. A Chill Dude, if you will. A Man In A Situation.
So often, schizo-spec characters are either The Crazy One In The Corner or The Insane Killer, and I think those are just really ridiculous ways of portraying such mental illnesses, y’know? Can’t we have more characters where their mental illness isn’t all there is to them? Like, “Meet Hannah. She’s a lesbian with two cats, a barista girlfriend, and she was diagnosed with schizoaffecfive disorder two years ago. She really likes chocolate muffins.”
To be clear, I don’t want to take away from the fact that some of these conditions can be life-ruining and truly devastating in some cases. These are serious mental illnesses, after all. I’d just like more representation of those who aren’t fully encompassed by that one, singular aspect of their identity.
One idea I had in specific was a sitcom (situational comedy) about a schizophrenic man in his late twenties who moves into a new house. It’s small, but surprisingly cheap, so he decides to take the deal. However, the twist would be that the house is haunted by several spirits which do not want people living in the residence. They try to scare him with all the classic horror movie tricks—but none of them work. He assumes that they’re simply hallucinations, and, honestly, he’s seen far worse. He just jots them down in his mental list of “I should talk to my friends (or therapist) about this” things and moves on. And his friends, most of whom also have stigmatized mental illnesses like BPD, DID, HPD, BIID, etc., are a big help in his life and would be the main side characters. I know that such an idea would have to be handled exceedingly carefully, but, I dunno… I’d like to see it.
Would anyone else? I’d honestly love to know.

i hate having to put hank from crash course in the ableist creators tag but his video on personality disorders was. awful. especially for AsPD. usually his content on psychological disorders are good! but this one...has so much stigma in it.
key points
"not only can personality disorders be difficult to diagnose and understand, they can also be downright scary" - direct quote before he starts talking about AsPD
"Psychopathy, and sociopathy - I'm talking like, serial killers here!"
"Probably the most established and most troubling personality disorder is AsPD" - Seriously? It's not a competition - and any disorder can be as 'troubling' as the next depending on how much it affects the person. It really comes off as fearmongering.
Perpetuates the stereotype that mostly men have AsPD without bothering to criticize the sexism apparent in the implementation and diagnosis of personality disorders, especially when it comes to cluster b (bpd and hpd being seen as 'woman disorder', aspd and npd being seen as 'man disorder')
...Comes up with this idea that people with AsPD are either jobless criminals or ruthless CEOs with no inbetween or other possible life path???
Starts on a good idea by saying antisocial =/= criminal, but then says that that's because not all criminals fit psychopathy and goes on to cite the overwhelming amount of people in incarceration who have AsPD, instead of saying "not all antisocial people are criminals because committing crimes isn't a part of the fucking criteria!"
I dont know how exactly to comment on his 'characters' that represent the personality disorders (for an engaging visual in the video) because the over-the-topness is kind of a part of the style, but the way he portrays NPD as this evil dark queen and HPD as...literally dressed like some cheap prostitute????? what the fuck!
oh what the FUCK

The Stigma Surrounding Cluster B Personality Disorders: NPD, BPD, ASPD, and HPD
Cluster B personality disorders—Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD), Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD), and Histrionic Personality Disorder (HPD)—are perhaps the most stigmatized of all mental health diagnoses. These disorders, marked by dramatic, emotional, and unpredictable behaviors, evoke strong reactions from the public and are often misunderstood. While individuals with these diagnoses struggle with intense emotional and psychological challenges, the stigma they face exacerbates their difficulties. Misconceptions perpetuated by media portrayals, lack of awareness, and fear prevent meaningful understanding, compassion, and access to appropriate care for those living with Cluster B disorders.
Overview of Cluster B Personality Disorders
Cluster B personality disorders are grouped together because they share similar emotional and interpersonal difficulties. However, each condition has distinct features:
Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD): Individuals with NPD exhibit a persistent pattern of grandiosity, a need for admiration, and a lack of empathy. While they may appear arrogant or self-centered, their behavior often masks deep-seated insecurity or feelings of inadequacy. Those with NPD are sensitive to criticism and may react defensively or with anger when their sense of superiority is challenged.
Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD): Characterized by emotional instability, fear of abandonment, and impulsive behavior, people with BPD experience intense emotional swings and have difficulty maintaining stable relationships. They often feel misunderstood and struggle with identity, self-worth, and chronic feelings of emptiness. Self-harm and suicidal behavior can be common coping mechanisms.
Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD): Those with ASPD show a pervasive disregard for the rights of others, often engaging in manipulative, deceitful, or criminal behavior. A hallmark of this disorder is a lack of empathy, guilt, or remorse, leading to exploitative or harmful interactions. ASPD is commonly associated with sociopathy or psychopathy in the media, which fuels its stigma.
Histrionic Personality Disorder (HPD): HPD is marked by a pattern of excessive attention-seeking, emotionality, and a need for approval. Individuals with HPD often display exaggerated emotions and may engage in provocative or theatrical behavior to gain the attention and admiration of others. While they may be seen as superficial or dramatic, their behavior stems from a deep fear of being ignored or unseen.
Roots of Stigma
The stigma surrounding Cluster B personality disorders stems from several sources, including media portrayals, public fear, and a general lack of understanding about mental health.
Media Stereotypes and Fearmongering: Media portrayals of individuals with Cluster B disorders are often sensationalized and one-dimensional, perpetuating harmful stereotypes. Characters with ASPD are commonly depicted as cold-blooded criminals, sociopaths, or serial killers, which fuels public fear and leads to the misconception that all people with ASPD are violent or dangerous. Similarly, people with NPD are portrayed as manipulative and self-serving villains, while those with BPD or HPD are depicted as "crazy" or "overly dramatic" individuals who are impossible to maintain relationships with. These depictions fail to reflect the complexities and struggles of living with these disorders.
Public Misunderstanding and Moral Judgment: Cluster B disorders are often viewed as character flaws rather than mental health conditions, leading to moral judgment rather than empathy. For example, someone with BPD might be labeled as “too needy” or “manipulative,” while someone with NPD is seen as “selfish” or “evil.” People tend to assume that the challenging behaviors associated with these disorders—such as emotional volatility, self-centeredness, or attention-seeking—are intentional, rather than the result of deep psychological pain or trauma.
Lack of Awareness: Many people are unaware of the underlying causes and complexities of Cluster B disorders, which often involve early trauma, attachment issues, or neurological factors. This ignorance leads to simplistic and negative views. For instance, while individuals with NPD may come across as overly confident, their behaviors are often rooted in profound feelings of inadequacy or fear of being exposed as "unworthy." Similarly, people with BPD experience extreme emotional sensitivity, often resulting from past trauma or unstable attachment during childhood, but they are frequently dismissed as being overly dramatic or "toxic."
The Harmful Impact of Stigma
The stigma attached to Cluster B personality disorders has wide-ranging consequences, both for those diagnosed with these conditions and for the broader mental health community.
Isolation and Rejection: Individuals with Cluster B disorders often experience rejection from their social circles, family, or even healthcare providers. The dramatic and sometimes self-destructive behaviors associated with these disorders can lead others to distance themselves, further isolating the person with the disorder and worsening their symptoms. For example, someone with BPD who fears abandonment may engage in intense emotional outbursts, which may drive others away, reinforcing their fear and leading to more emotional distress.
Barriers to Treatment: Stigma also makes it harder for individuals with these disorders to seek or receive proper treatment. Many people with Cluster B diagnoses are afraid of being labeled or judged, even by mental health professionals. In some cases, clinicians may hesitate to work with individuals with BPD or NPD, viewing them as “difficult” or "untreatable." This only perpetuates the cycle of untreated symptoms and worsening mental health.
Internalized Stigma: The societal rejection of Cluster B disorders often leads to self-stigma, where individuals internalize the negative labels associated with their diagnosis. Those with BPD might begin to see themselves as “unlovable” or “a burden,” while individuals with NPD might become even more defensive or isolated to protect themselves from perceived attacks. Internalized stigma worsens mental health outcomes and can lead to feelings of shame, self-loathing, and hopelessness.
Violence and Criminality Assumptions: People with ASPD and NPD, in particular, face assumptions that they are inherently dangerous or criminal. While some individuals with ASPD engage in criminal behavior, the assumption that all people with ASPD are violent overlooks the nuances of the disorder and denies them the chance for rehabilitation or growth. Similarly, NPD is often equated with manipulation and exploitation, leading to the false belief that individuals with NPD are incapable of change or empathy.
Addressing and Reducing Stigma
Challenging the stigma around Cluster B personality disorders requires education, advocacy, and compassionate care.
Education and Awareness: One of the most important steps in reducing stigma is educating the public about the realities of Cluster B disorders. It’s crucial to understand that these are mental health conditions shaped by complex interactions between biology, psychology, and environment, rather than moral failings or deliberate choices. Raising awareness about the trauma histories, emotional sensitivities, and neurological factors that contribute to these disorders can foster empathy and reduce judgment.
Humanizing Those with Cluster B Disorders: Individuals with NPD, BPD, ASPD, and HPD are more than their diagnoses. Telling the stories of people with Cluster B disorders who are seeking help, working through their challenges, and living meaningful lives helps to break down the stereotypes that dehumanize them. This can be done through advocacy, media campaigns, and the inclusion of people with these diagnoses in conversations about mental health.
Support and Empathy: For friends, family, and healthcare professionals, offering compassionate support is essential. While it’s necessary to set boundaries in relationships with individuals who exhibit harmful behaviors, it’s equally important to understand that these behaviors are often symptoms of deep psychological pain. Empathy, validation, and the belief in the potential for growth can make a world of difference for individuals with Cluster B disorders.
Trauma-Informed Care: Since many individuals with Cluster B disorders have experienced trauma, it is essential that mental health care is trauma-informed and non-judgmental. Instead of focusing solely on behavior, clinicians must seek to understand the emotional and psychological roots of these disorders and offer therapeutic interventions that address the individual’s core needs.
Conclusion: Moving Toward Understanding and Acceptance
The stigma surrounding Cluster B personality disorders—NPD, BPD, ASPD, and HPD—creates significant barriers to empathy, treatment, and understanding. By recognizing these conditions as complex mental health issues rather than moral failings, society can begin to move away from harmful stereotypes and toward compassion and healing. Education, advocacy, and trauma-informed care are essential steps in reducing the stigma that affects not only those diagnosed with these disorders but also the broader mental health community. Only through a deeper understanding can we break down the walls of judgment and provide the support necessary for individuals with Cluster B disorders to thrive.

Live-read: The Wheel of Destiny #1, Atcham.
You can find this article on the Dofus MMO’s site, by simply googling it.
Before I begin this post I want to acknowledge multiple things:
On the hierarchy of canonical media, web articles are like... the bottom of the barrel. I already suspected this, but season 4 fully retconning Eva's parents from the lore articles sealed the deal. For this reason, take these as nothing but the sort of canon that will get retconned at the first available opportunity.
I recently found out that the Wheel of Destiny 8, the one about Kerubim, seems to use stolen fanart by Flowerimh, which is sad. I don't know where else to put this, because I don't want to make a separate post about this. Flowerimh isn't even active anymore...
Despite these two things, let us proceed to read this article together:
So, this article happens anywhere from one year to a decade before Joris was born, and at this time, Atcham and Julith were already acquainted and spending free time together.
Spoiler alert: They are searching for Kerubim.
Keke getting called a "precious runt" is on par with the shit Joris gets called. Wonderful. I do wonder why they would search for him in Brakmar. Someone confused him for Atcham? Maybe they asked Kerubim himself, and he didn't want to deal with them, and so, sent them to Brakmar on a wild goose chase?
I will not be asking "what did he do" because, like, Fifi Pretty Calves exists. He has enough enemies to have a price on his head.
I am literally in love with him, and every single way he is described in this part of the text.
"He had a preference for sibilant sounds", "Aw, poor little puppy", "the only reason he hadn't robbed them blind is because he wanted to know more".
He was so excited.... he thought they wanted him (not carnally).... 😢
He takes a lot of pride in his work and insane behaviours.
Atcham considers himself an extraordinary adventurer and a valiant fighter. AND HE ISSSSSS. But it is interesting that besides being a killer for hire, he probably also adventures.
[Taps this meme I made about Kerubim and Atcham once again]
He was so ready to be the one people wanted to kill just once, and they ruined his whole fucking evening.
Imagine this being your day-to-day life, for decades. Just people laughing at you, laughing because you still hadn't caught on that you're the joke, and laughing when you finally understand that, and get upset.
Laughing about you behind your back, to some random stranger, too. Because they still hadn't realized they're literally talking about him.
I think this is a good time to say that I headcanon Atcham as autistic. It is simply a headcanon, but one rooted in the themes of his character. I think it is a fitting conclusion, (albeit, just like my hcs of Joris having ADHD and OCD and Kerubim having comorbid BPD and HPD, very accidental one, on part of the writers).
I could talk for hours on the way neurodivergence, disability, body issues, and violence-as-response-to-abuse intersect in Atcham's character, — or the way he hates everyone preemptively, because he knows that they will probably hurt him, yet still tries to be at least a bit kind and fair to others (....who aren't Kerubim).
I am probably not autistic, — however, I am neurodivergent, and I love & relate to him, so yeah. Always rotating this bingus in my brain.
Imagine this being your whole life.
I read descriptions of Atcham being cool and fast, and all the analysis leaves my brain as I say "awooga hummina hummina".
The fact that nobody ever wed him is literally so unrealistic, like WHAT DO YOU MEAN you don't want the weird, mentally ill, neurodivergent twink.
We never see Atcham's home in Brakmar, but from the description of "tattered", and the way his bed looks in the comic panel I inserted earlier in the post, it is safe to say his home is the definition of "girlrotting". It probably smells. Bad.
Says the woman whose kindness will also be the death of her, — and her ruthlessness too.
Because of her visiting his home so nonchalantly, and their interactions as a whole, I like to view Atcham and Julith as somewhat close friends, — as close as two very emotionally repressed people, who have a huge age difference, and don't like to admit that they feel anything positive, can be.
He probably didn't mourn her, — not after she was presumed dead for ten years, and not after she died for real.
But he probably still thinks about her, once in a while.
