Just as you hand over the pile of 10 meat collected for the npc uncles' neighbors girlfriend's sister you find yourself yet again in an endless talking loop while the generic NPC explains to you in detail their entire family history and how their grandpas grandpas grandpas grandpa, Generic NCP McDonald the fifteenth has a long history of being a cow farmer. Of course, this was all before whatever happened wherever the fuck you are because everywhere starts to bleed together in the long streams of endless pointless talking.

You get a little lost in your own thoughts here. Perhaps this is even when you realize that Hoyoverse doesn't care that their content is the equivalent of literary garbage for this game. You have just grown accustomed to the fact that they don't know how to show not tell, but that is nor really the case is it?

Because they can, they just choose not to because you, as the player, accept it.

Maybe it is just a 20 second image of Kiana with a gun to her chin being comforted by Hua (its sad I can't even find this image) or a cutscene with Himeko sacrificing herself to save Kiana from the Void Herrscher or Seele and Viconia working together to save Bronya.

Ah, fuck it. Just watch them all. Because they are all so good.

These are the things that we remember. Pain and happiness, things that we relate to. Not enormous walls of unneeded text which are tantamount to run-on sentences and drama watered down to appeal to all ages! Skirting around all of those awful things they hide in lore that's unnecessarily attached to items.

This is not good story telling.

Hell, even artifacts are becoming a novella for their abilities alone.

Maybe Impact just ruined me or maybe I am just a grumpy bitch, but Genshin's "great story telling" is a lie even when compared to their own fucking games.

These posts were made to be a parody pointing out the absurdity of this game, but to be perfectly honest it needs the criticism. It is a fact that they CAN do better and to be honest anyone that plays this game deserves better.

It actually pains me that they are headed in the same direction as Genshin in Star Rail. Do not let them, they can provide you better storytelling, I PROMISE YOU.

I finished ER a while ago but never thought to update until now. To get to the point it did not get better in fact it got worse. Elysia is now by far my least favorite character and in my opinion the worst written character in the game. I have a long long list of complaints about her. Basically when ever she’s involved I’m prepared for the writing to be trash. The amount of anger I have towards this character is unbelievable, and a lot it comes from disappointment of how hyped up she was. Don’t get me wrong though, even if she wasn’t I still wouldn’t like her. I’m angry in how alone I feel about her. From what I’ve seen there like 2 other people who don’t like her. No one who’s active in the fandom at least doesn’t like her, that I’ve come across at least.

I could go into depth on why I don’t like her more, specifics on everything but I’m to tired right now cause that would be a whole essay x5 and I’m not in the mood to do that sooo…bye bye 

Though also to be fair I really didn’t care for any of the flame chasers besides like 3 (not including fu Hua cause she was already a character before that and is more than that)

So sad right now someone pls tell me Elyisa gets less annoying the further you get in the story 🥹

This is actually an elderly person that is small

I can mention it but I cant count him, a Pulcinella from Genshin impact but he was just shown in the trailers it's not as if we saw him in game as a model
