I've just realised I only posted one thing today, so pls have some soft soukoku headcannons as an apology:

- they're both simps. Neither will admit it, and both spend 90% of their time trying to get the other to admit to it while simultaneously denying it

- dazai is little spoon despite being taller bc he likes feeling cared for and chuuya likes feeling like he's caring for dazai

- one time, chuuya brought home a puppy, and dazai screamed when he saw it. Chuuya didn't stop teasing him about it for a week, but he did pass the puppy onto someone else in case it was serious and dazai didn't want to admit it

- they have a cat. Her name is arahabaki, baki for short (I borrowed this from a fic I read, but I can't remember the name), and she's ginger. She's also rlly stupid

- dazai has a YouTube channel dedicated to videos of baki being stupid. There's a new video daily

- dazai has an entire album in his gallery dedicated to pictures of chuuya. He takes pictures of him all the time, especially when he's sleeping

- they have cheesy matching lock screens which they refuse to show to anyone

- when they got engaged, they got rings with double lines of black stones (from the fic 'its not gay if its in america')

- they exposed their relationship to the ada (the pm already knew due to teenage soukoku shenanigans) by making out. Basically dazai got back from a dangerous mission where he almost died and chuuya just grabbed him and snogged his face off

- chuuya is the only person who's seen dazai without his bandages

- dazai is the only person who's seen chuuya without his gloves (it seems mundane but it's important to him)

- dazai bought custom bed sheets with a picture of them on when they first bought a double bed. Chuuya then refused to throw them out so dazai groans every time he sees them and is reminded of his mistake

- yosano and kouyo have a gc dedicated to cute pictures and blackmail of them. This includes pictures dazai has taken that he has sent to yosano with various keyboard smashes over how cute chuuya is

- they got married when they were 16 as a joke. They got engaged 5 years later only to discover that legally they were already married. They still held a wedding though

Chuuya having weird fast healing bc of arahabaki making his body extra durable, and using this to get piercings that heal quickly with little to no pain (the downside is that if he takes them out, they heal in like 2 days).

Dazai banning him from getting any more piercings because he can't concentrate on missions and it's actually going to get him killed at some point.

Chuuya huffing and saying he thought dazai wanted that, but taking them out anyway- all except one.

When he wants dazai to shut up, all he has to do is stick out his tongue at him, and dazai will go silent staring at his snake bites.

I was re-reading some of my old posts from when we got to the end of Meursault arc and looking at all the people who were asking “hey why didn’t Chuuya just kill Fyodor earlier”. And knowing what we know now… oh no.

So, I am very convinced that Chuuya was warned not to come into contact with Fyodor at all, as Dazai believed at that point that the ability was touch based. (I believe someone on here made a post where Dazai likely dug the body out of the wreckage instead of Chuuya because of this exactly.)

But anyways, as someone who still wishes there’d been more drama in this arc, I’d like to present to you a story divergence where Fyodor actually anticipates more of skk’s planning than they thought and had a trap in place based off of having observed their actions in Dead Apple. It leads to a much more dire situation where Dazai has to improvise on the fly, and he is actually willing to pull a sacrifice here to achieve the original plan of trapping Fyodor with the pilot. Something happens, and Dazai is too worried about Fyodor’s mysterious ability, and due to this uncertainty, he does not involve Chuuya in this updated last-ditch play. Fortunately or unfortunately, Chuuya recognizes that this plan (because they can basically read each other’s minds at this point) has a good chance of not actually working, and consequently, also a very good chance of killing Dazai for nothing, which infuriates Chuuya since he knows full well Dazai is doing this for the Agency and he’s “just gonna give up” when he’s clearly found a place for himself.

So, yeah, Chuuya makes his own autonomous choice and… kills Fyodor.

And everyone loses. Chuuya gets violently taken over by Fyodor, literally his worst nightmare. Dazai has to watch, knowing he fucked up. And Fyodor doesn’t manage to get killed by the vampire, so he doesn’t take over Bram, and he isn’t in the right place at the right time to cause the Tripolar Singularity. A single act of free will by a person Fyodor had written off as controllable may not have actually fixed things… but it certainly changed the story.

idk I just think this could be a fun premise :)

Joker during the early-rank Akechi era is so funny because from his POV he's living the teenage dream. Imagine doing basically nothing yet you get noticed by a cute idol who then takes you on dates and calls you special and interesting non-stop. Bro probably felt so proud.
