#Hobbystreak Day 229. The greatest part of the Siege of Cthonia book is that it gave me official art of what Loyalist Thousand Sons look like. So, I decided I'd take that scheme and put it on the assault guy I built up last night since it was mostly sunny today

I've been rather scared of this creature. You can't tell but there are at least three things I tried to do already to give him a good skin before throwing my hands up and coming up with this rich one coat approach of ... just put a solid paint on the model.

Continued on with some oil washes. I’ve only just started experimenting with them. After some false starts and failures, I think less is more with oils. When they are quite diluted they give a great, subtle effect.

Got some mini painting in too, today. Finished off the white undershirt.

He’s going to be a Youngblood in my Reiklander warband.

I decided to make my Youngbloods a banner bearer and musician. This won’t have any effect in-game, but will make them stand out on the table.

Plus, they’ll fit in nicely should I want to expand my force for something like Saga: Age of Magic.

Day 4: trials

Calling it done on the librarian. I may have flown too close to the sun with the psychic runes. Im not a big fan of how it came out. Maybe another day I'll try again on it.

I also got a hold of some square bases. These were bought to convert my aos orruk army into an old world orcs and goblins army. I've got my work cut out for me. These gutrippaz do not like to rank up.

Day 1 Starting at the left hand and working my way to the head, then around the back I spent the evening edge highlighting scales hoping to find that drive to paint again.

I HAVE RETURNED and with my return I give you a speed painted dark angel (his transfers are still drying)

Day 1500: painted some of the eyes. I also pulled out almost every miniature I've painted in the last 1500 days and took a group photo! Took nearly two hours to setup and teardown. Immensely proud of the collection I've steadily built over the years

Mini Painting - Cities of Sigmar Steelhelms

With AoS4 on the way, and more importantly for me; Spearhead, I’ve taken the plunge and bought the Cities box.

Wanted a very rudimentary soldiery in browns and greys, but juxtaposed with a more regal purple and gold.
