"Look! Th- th-this my FAVorite," Roboute informed him, showing him the drawing. "This me, this Mortarion and th-this this- is, THIS Magnus. He's pink because red was lost. This you. I found red for you."

"It's very good," Angron nodded. "I like how you thought of a solution for Magnus."

He shoved away the thoughts and urges of the nails. He wanted to listen to his younger brothers. Roboute was the most talkative out of them but Rogal was better with articulation. Konrad was mostly non-verbal.

The Night Haunter was holding open his hand, tracing his claws gently along the lines of his palm. He was obsessed with physical touch since being reverted into a child.

Rogal came up and pointed to his blocks, "I made a fortress from 16-15."

"It's very good," the twelfth primarch commented. "I can tell where the architecture is from."

He forced his voice to stay level.

Konrad was now rubbing Angron's hand against his face. Something he did with Fulgrim and Vulkan as a... "positive stim" or whatever Fulgrim called it.

The nails sang in offense. But Angron himself didn't mind.

Prince of Crows itself is the story of Orpheus. When they are about to break free from hell, when nothing could go wrong in his design, Sevatar turns back inevitably for his Eurydice. Should’ve said this sooner but it always has been a story about the denial and eventual acceptance of overpowering love and devotion in someone’s heart. Many people are frustrated at the ending because they were so close to a clear escape but Konrad has to ruin everything! But it’s the point. Sev would ruin everything for Konrad and he finally becomes aware of that at the end of the story. His loyalty is worth throwing away everything he planned and worked for.

Sevatar has love and passionate loyalty but they’re so often overlooked and misunderstood because he “called out” his dad. It’s pretty clear that after a whole novella of struggle and experiencing Konrad’s childhood and the eventual confrontation, Sev turns and follows him back into hell without hesitation.
