Hiring Quality Assurance (QA) engineers is a crucial process in software development. QA engineers are responsible for testing the software and finding bugs before it goes live. As technological advancements accelerate, quality assurance engineers must stay updated on the latest tools to find and fix bugs before they reach massive proportions. It takes a certain skill set to do this well, which is why you want to make sure your candidate has what it takes before hiring them. Finding one might sound like an easy task, but with organizations' growing needs of quality assurance, those who aren't experienced or qualified can't handle things alone.

Software testing can be a pain, especially for large enterprises with complicated software architectures. When we were just getting started, as a software testing company in the USA, we faced a similar problem. However, there is always a solution to every problem with Artificial Intelligence. Office smut where reader is Rafe's assistant and they both work at cameron developpement
I've never been a fan of these assistant/boss dynamics, but it fits for Rafe so I gave it a try...and it ended up being 2.5k
Warnings: 18+, fingering, unprotected p + v,

Tumblr media
Never in your life did you imagine yourself pursuing a career in real estate, but when an opportunity to work as a personal assistant at Cameron Development practically fell into your lap, you hadn’t been able to decline.
It was a sunny day on the golf course with your father, enjoying some quality father-daughter time before the end of summer. As you both played a round, you came across one of his golf buddies — Ward Cameron. You vaguely remembered the man, having played with his kids a few times when you were little. Sarah was the one you remembered the most, she had blond hair and always talked about turtles.
Small talk flowed between your father and Mr. Cameron as they caught up on each other's lives. Then, your college studies came into the conversation. You had graduated college this spring, but hadn’t found any jobs in your field yet. Fortunately for you, Mr. Cameron informed you that there were a few jobs available at Cameron Developpement.
You weren’t interested in real estate, but working for a well reputed company could do no wrong to your curriculum vitae. So you accepted the offer, not knowing that you would be working for his son, Rafe, as his personal assistant.
You knocked on the door at the end of the hallway, announcing your presence. ‘’You wanted to see me, Mr. Cameron?’’
He looked up from the stack of documents neatly placed before him on his desk and your breath caught in your throat. Fuck me. It was a good thing you had put on lipgloss and a nice pair of heels instead of loafers because Rafe Cameron was a fine man. He looked right out of a smutty romance novel with his crisp button up and a navy blue suit jacket that brought out the color of his eyes.
‘’Yes,’’ he replied, flashing you a polite and effortlessly charming smile. ‘’First, I wanted to meet my new assistant before I hand off the work I'd rather not deal with. My father was insistent about getting me a personal assistant, but I'm actually glad he hired you.’’ His eyes followed down your body in the most subtle way, taking note of how well your skirt was hugging your hips and anticipating the even better view when he’ll watch you go.
‘’I’m glad I took the job too. Hopefully I won’t disappoint you,’’ you responded, a faint smile tugging at the corners of your lips, trying to hide everything you were feeling right now.
‘’I’m sure you won’t,’’ Rafe assured, his voice carrying a trace of amusement. ‘’Secondly, I was reviewing some paperwork, and it has come to my attention that Mr. Gilbert has not remitted his payment for the condo he recently bought. Can you give him a call and ask for payment? If he refuses to forward us the money before 4pm, we’ll cancel the sale agreement and find another prospective buyer.’’
You nodded in acknowledgment.
Calling Mr. Gilbert. That should be easy for your first task.
‘’Anything else?’’
Rafe shook his head. ‘’Not for the moment. You may leave.’’
‘’Well, Mr. Cameron.’’
His eyes lingered for a second, a hint of something more as he watched you turn to leave, a sly smirk playing on his lips.
Over the span of a few weeks, professional exchanges gradually morphed into something outside of your assigned tasks. You were still bringing him coffee whenever he asked and answering emails, but specks of flirting now laced your conversation and soon evolved with lingering glances to your chest while going over some work related paperwork.
Once in a while, he would call you into his office and scheme excuses just to look at you.
It wasn’t until that argument with his father that he — finally — made a move on you.
You came to work early that day and, on your way to your office, you had heard Mr. Cameron shout at his son for a mistake he had made concerning the company and how it was going to make a big dent in their finances to fix it. To respect their privacy and not wanting them to think you were eavesdropping, you quickly went to your workspace and started your work.
When Rafe came out of his father’s office, he saw you sitting at your desk. His chest was heaving with the intensity of the encounter, a storm brewing in his expression. You heard his office door close and, a few seconds later, an email popped on your screen.
My office. Now.
You thought he needed something, but when you stepped in, Rafe was waiting by the door and crashed his mouth on yours, giving in to the desires he’s been pushing aside since you walked in his office on your first day.
A small gasp left your lips, not expecting to be kissed by your boss on a Thursday morning. A cloud of confusion fogged your brain and you broke the kiss, trying to fight the invisible string pulling you to him.
Rafe's gaze lowered down yours, a complex blend of frustration and longing evident in his eyes.
The reason why he had never made a move on you before stemmed from a promise to his father, who had made him promise to not fool around with the personnel if he wanted to be part of Cameron Developpement. It hadn't been too difficult until now, the employees being mostly women in their thirties and up. Then, you came around and Rafe had to use a lot of self-control to not charm his way into your panties. To further complicate the situation, you were responsive to his advances and flirting.
However, after a heated exchange with his father, Rafe was in the mood to piss him off, so to hell with his stupid rules.
‘’Can I trust you that this stays between us?’’ His hands roamed across your sides, down your body, feeling what he had been staring at these past weeks.
‘’I never kiss and tell.’’
Rafe's thumb brushed the corner of your mouth, removing a smudge of lipstick. ‘’Good girl.’’
The way he said it went straight to your core, waking an ache between your legs. How could a voice have such a strong effect?
Your eyes traveled to the clock on the wall. Agnes, one of the secretaries, should arrive in twenty minutes. You knew her routine because her desk was right by the hallway leading to Rafe’s office. You also knew that she visited him every morning after checking her emails.
Your thoughts were interrupted when Rafe’s mouth found its way back on yours, his tongue slipping between your lips and he pulled you closer to him, pressing his body against yours as his other hand traveled down your legs, to the hem of your tight skirt. He caressed and grabbed one of your ass cheeks, groaning at the feeling.
Wasting no time getting undressed, Rafe hiked your skirt up, eliciting a small gasp as cool air hit your skin. ‘’Can you be quiet for me?’’ he asked, pressing against you and letting you feel the length of his hard cock against your thigh. ‘’The walls are thin and Agnes is gonna get here soon. We don’t want her to hear us, do we?’’
You shook your head. ‘’Are you gonna fuck me, Mr. Cameron?’’
Aside from one mishap, you and Rafe successfully kept your secret business from the other employees. If the whispers of your unprofessional doings in his office were to get to his father, you would both be in a lot of trouble.
‘’I have Anthony Gilbert from the construction company on the first line. He has some questions about the new condos,’’ you informed Rafe after he returned from an afternoon meeting, his tie slightly loosened.
A sigh left his mouth as he leaned back in his chair, visibly tired. ‘’Transfer him to my secretary.’’
You shifted on your heels, sensing Rafe didn’t want to speak to this man. ‘’He asked to speak to you specifically.’’
‘’Well, we can’t always get what we want,’’ he pressed. ‘’Agnes will take care of it,’’ Rafe repeated, his tone final.
You nodded. ‘’Yes, Mr. Cameron.’’
‘’Now, would you please close the door? There’s a document I would like to go over with you.’’
A document. You held a snicker and shut the door as requested.
Once you turned the lock, Rafe patted his lap and you walked around his desk. He watched you with hungry eyes, impatient to get his hands all over you. Get his cock inside you.
‘’Looking good today, babydoll. Is this new?’’ he asked, running his thumb over the neckline of your wrap dress as you seated yourself on his lap, careful to not rub the sole of your heels on his pants and leave a mark.
You hummed in response, leaning forward to expose more of your chest. ‘’Do you like it?’’
Rafe let his hand glide down, following the cut of the dress, until he reached the tie to undo it. He pulled until the knot came off, revealing your bra — a soft pink lace number that did not much other than looking pretty. A shudder left your lips as his hand cupped your breast through your bra, his thumb brushing over where he knew your nipple was.
‘’Very.’’
You carded your fingers as he mouthed at your chest and neck, careful to leave no marks behind. A sigh left your lips, wishing he would pull your bra down and just take suck on your nipple, but Rafe had other plans. While his mouth was working, one hand slipped between your thighs, seeking out your warmth, his hand pressed itself against your soaked panties.
He grinned against your skin. ‘’Would you look at that,’’ Rafe murmured, teasing you over the fabric and sending jolts of pleasure to your core. ‘’Were you thinking of me while I was at my meeting?’’ he questioned his fingers pushing your panties to the side, fingers delving into your slick, a low moan fell from your lips. ‘’Get on the desk.’’
You wordlessly climb up onto his cold desk, ignoring the papers that got scattered, leaning back with your hands to spread your legs for him. Rafe pulled your panties down your legs and discarded them in one of the drawers — a little keepsake.
He dipped two fingers between your soaked folds, causing you to moan slowly. ‘’You look so pretty spread out for me like this,’’ he muttered between you, his cock twitching in his pants and straining against the fabric. ‘’Ready for me to take.’’ His thumb grazed over your clit and a gasp fell from your lips, your hands instinctively grabbing the edge of the desk to brace yourself.
‘’I’m always ready for you,’’ you said, speaking the embarrassing truth. ‘’I’ve never wanted a cock as bad as I want yours.’’
Your words had the desired effect, making Rafe groan. ‘’Shit, babydoll. Where did you get that filthy mouth?’’
Rafe reached down and rubbed himself over his pants before deftly unbuckling his belt and unzipping his trousers. He stood from his seat, the bulge in his boxers making your mouth water and your pussy clench.
You used to feel guilty for fooling around on your work hours. It felt wrong and dishonest to your boss, but all guilt would go out the window the moment Rafe’s big cock entered you. Fuck work ethics and policies.
The rest of his clothes came off and he stood between your parted legs, one of his large hands grabbing your thigh while his other was holding his hard length at your entrance. His blue eyes gazed up at you with a mischievous glint as he rubbed his tip against your folds, making you whine with anticipation.
His teasing turned on him as you reached for his cock and wrapped your hand around its length, drawing a moan from him. ‘’Little minx.’’
You grinned, continuing your motions. Teasing could go both ways.
‘’Ahh,’’ you gasped as he pressed in, a slow delicious burn that sent a shiver down your spine as he pushed his way through your tight walls.
Rafe leaned down his forehead, pressing down onto yours and breathing you in as he rolled his hips into you. A moan spilled from your throat at the sensation, a little too loud, and he was quick to clamp his hand over your mouth to muffle any sounds, the floor still full at this hour.
To add to the noises, the desk was creaking every time Rafe was dragging his cock in and out of you. Although the angle was great, the desk might not be the quietest — unfortunately.
‘’You like that babydoll, you like when I fuck you like this?’’
You nodded, your mouth still covered.
Fuck, just like that, you wanted to scream, your back arching when he hit the right spot over and over at a toe curling pace. God, this was the best sex of your life. Some men just knows what they're doing.
The shrill of the phone echoed in the office, but you both ignored it — Agnes will answer. It was probably the man who wanted to speak to Rafe calling again.
Sorry Mr. Gilbert, Mr. Cameron is very busy fucking the life out of his personal assistant.
Your body writhed against Rafe, your hands leaving the desk to pull at his hair and grab at his arm while your heels dug into his ass. He grunted, your walls clenching around him. A few more hard thrusts and his thumb sweeping over your clit had your thighs trembling as the waves of pleasure washed over you.
Rafe continued to push into you, dragging out your orgasm as his took over, pulling out quickly and cumming on your stomach, trying to not get any drop on your dress.
You didn’t have time to get dressed or catch your breath that a knock came on the door. Momentarily forgetting you had locked it, you jumped, thinking you were going to get caught.
‘’What is it?’’ Rafe called out, trying not to sound too out of breath.
‘’I have Mr. Gilbert on the phone on line three. He’s asking to speak to you,’’ Agnes’s sweet voice said through the door. ‘’A pressing matter, he said.’’
‘’I’m unable to take the call at the moment. I’m busy going over a document for a client I’m seeing tomorrow morning. Could you please take the call for me?’’ he asked, rubbing his hands over your thighs, wishing his secretary would leave so he can get on his knees and get his mouth between your legs.
Agnes nodded although he couldn’t see her. ‘’I understand, Mr. Cameron. I'll inform him right away.’’
Rafe waited to hear clicks of her heels down the hallway to sink to his knees and get back to business. He did tell Agnes that he was working on a document, no one would question how long you were locked in his office for.

Walker "The Quiet" review
The episode opens with Cordell and Geri happily bumping into walls while making out before Cordell leaves for work where he ends up bumping inside a runaway tractor trailer driven by a thief the rangers have been tracking for weeks.  James and Trey are also in the trailer though they're only there because Cordell had jumped into the moving trailer, which he claims was inspired by Trey's first case.  Trey doesn't want credit for Cordell's latest impulsive antic, but it all ends well when Cordell does a homerun slide into the baddie's face and just like that, we’re off to a good start.
5 months have passed to explain August’s growth spurt during the real world’s Hollywood strike that delayed Walker’s return by 11 months.  August now looks like a younger clone of the actor that played Sam Winchester’s adult son in the Supernatural finale, which means he has to be hired for the Supernatural revival as young Dean Winchester II.
The Walker clan pus Geri and Ben are planning Cordell’s birthday with a party bus to a steak eating contest.  That of course gets jettisoned when Cassie Perez, a temp with the FBI, arrives at Ranger HQ to recruit Cordell, James , and Trey s help to help the FBI nab drug operatives.  August suggested moving the steak eating contest to the Walker ranch and just like that, birthday party back on.
But first, Cassie gifts Cordell a pair of alligator cowboy boots that I'm sure she clobbered the alligator herself during her 5-month stint in Florida, and brings Cordell back to Walker ranch for a surprise birthday lunch.   August yeets out of the birthday party early to go to high school senior parties, much to Cordell disappointment who then sneaks away from his own birthday party to look over the latest development of the serial killer Jackal case with Trey.  Hey, like father like son!
Cordell and Trey gets busted by James' wife Kelly who immediately recognizes the killer's calling card, a set of jackal teeth.  She is upset to learn that the Jackal re-emerged during her re-wedding to James and demands Cordell and Trey to not tell James who is still haunted by the unsolved case.  Speaking of being haunted by the past, Stella and Liam commiserate over being forced to take another human life; Liam killing Clint when he invaded the ranch, Stella killing Witt when he invaded Geri’s house.  Liam assures Stella she will be fine with time. We learn that Witt initially survived the gunshot wound and escaped the house, only to die 2 miles away on the roadside.  The police consider the case closed, but we know it's unsolved as we never found out why he broke into Geri's house.
After a very busy day of taking down thieves, drug dealers, and a steak eating contest, it comes to a screeching halt into “the quiet”. Cordell and Geri spend some quiet quality time and Cordell admits fearing “the quiet” with a daughter at college living away from home and August looking forward to flying the coop.
Trey arrives to update Cordell on the Jackal case and asked him if it was really that bad when James worked on the case.  Flashback showing an unhinged James obsessing over the case, avoiding his family and to the horror of his wife, physically taking out his frustration on Cordell (third time we see Cordell being bumped against walls).  Trey asked if it was the depravity that got to James.  No, Cordell says, it was "the quiet" when the Jackal eluded James.
Besides the normal empty-nest angst by parents, Cordell is also a military veteran who operates at a different level than everyone else.  Veterans’ lows are civilians’ highs so veterans get bored very quickly and seek high risk hobbies or jobs.  Cordell’s job as a Texas Ranger helped fulfill that high risk need and serves as a distraction until a new reality threatens to bring back “the quiet” resulting from absences: his wife’s death and now his children leaving the nest.  Both Cordell and James hated “the quiet '' and Cordell vowed to catch the Jackel before “the quiet” comes back for James again.
Speculation #1: The Jackal heard about the James wedding and wants to mess with James by killing again.
Side note: Cordell and Cassie discussing the Hawkshadow reboot sounds like the Walker Texas Ranger reboot i.e. "more grounded and focus on the family". I really need Cassie and Cordell to go undercover in a Hawkshadow convention.
My score: 8 out of 10, a solid start to the season with the quiet before the storm.

Minecraft Worldbuilding Headcanons
-Players & Species
here is 1179 words of minecraft worldbuilding infodump
I would be spending several more hours working on this if I didn't cut it short here, so I might make a second part. But i'm.. kinda in finales week so I died today.
Included in this is references to some Minecraft YouTubers and their world building, namely Watchers, of the 2017 Evo SMP.
Feel free to use this for fics, art, comics, etc.
Includes headcanons for how Players work, are created, and function. Also how disabilities are accommodated!!!
Very simulation-esque. essentially my world building is as if The Sims were aware of what they are and they had access to make themselves god ig . cyber tech. yeah
Devs/Developers
The Devs/Developers are the first. As their world expanded, and the Universe grew, more of them would appear. They create the updates, design the Mobs, and ensure the future of their Universe; features, challenges and goals, for the Players to explore and use and learn from. The asexual creation of new Players. Purpose, for the Players to never get bored. Devs created the Watchers to manage the day-to-day of Players. Watchers fine-tune and teach the Mobs, kinda like playtesters, to give feedback to the Devs.
The Devs determined what is and isn’t a Player, and what qualifies something to be a Player.
There are slips, and with malicious or ignorant intent, someone not given the right to be a Player slip through, as man-made creatures. Non-intended “Players” do not respawn, have Communicators (see: Players), or inventories.
Mob hybrids were added one by one, as they assured they could have a quality of life, and make changes as fit to allow them to be.Older Creeper hybrids may look different from younger ones, for example, as they fine-tune their process to make them have the healthiest, safest and most fulfilling possible life.
Devs rarely spend time with any Players. The ones they do speak with are usually first generation, very old Players.
Watchers
(About Me: Watchers are god-like beings featured in an SMP known as Evo. They filled the role of overseers, and are typically interpreted to be the personification of the two things that speak to you in the End Poem. In the series, they were morally-neutral, punishing Players who did wrong, and awarding others. They put them through tasks and challenges, and led them to a series of portals that would take them through time, to new updates. The series started in the first version of Minecraft that featured servers. Nearly everything wrote is from my own worldbuilding or the fanon of others, as there is very little known about them in canon.)
The Player are made from the Universe, and made of the same code, but Watchers  ARE the Universe. They don't make the Players, but they make the Mobs that roams in each world. They oversee upcoming updates. There are only two Watchers who are the true Universe, the ones we see in Evo SMP, all other Watchers are “hired”/recruited based on their morality, strength, perseverance, or sometimes just sheer entertainment. Sometimes, in a situation of Permadeath, the Players that meet their standards are given the opportunity to expand their life and purpose by becoming a Watcher. They are taught the true Universe, the meaning of it all, and the power to manipulate it into life and love. Watchers can also turn animals into Players, and do so in the scenario that a world is deleted/abandoned by all of it’s occupants.
The head Watchers are the two that speak to you, the Player, during the End Poem. They are a bit disconnected but well-intentioned. They enforce laws, and assign Watchers to every Server and world to ensure it’s safety. The Old Watchers (as I’ll dub them) are god-like, and are the only ones that typically speak with the Devs on a regular basis. Not all Watchers are good. Some are centuries old, Players-turned-Demi-Gods who have watched all they love die or age. As such, their mentality may begin to crumble.
Those who are Watchers, stop aging. They no longer can scar, and all injuries are cured on respawn. The state of their body from before being transformed remains the same. For example, bad vision, scars, and hearing lost remain. Their body is frozen from where they left off. Temporary ailments, such as bags under eyes, scratches, bruises, etc. can still occure.
They have the ability to shapeshift, but it is something that takes effort, and can be blocked by Servers. Watchers can toggle between their Player form, where they left off when they were human, or in a Spectator-like form. Think biblical angel. Thick bird-like wings, that can come in a plethora of numbers.
The state of their Watcher form is determined typically by their mental or emotional state.
Watcher Form
Cool & Collected: One set of wings, long and angular with slick feathers. Appear in the vision of others like a foggy outline in the mist. Eyes covered by a mask.
Stressed & Anxious: One-Three set(s) of wings, feathers bristled and messy. Purple glow around the edge of the mask, and outline of eyes appear around them. Can appear shadow-like.
Angry & Upset: One-Six set(s) of wings, outstretched with a shimmery-crystal like appearance. Halo of eyes around their head. Their real eyes can also be seen glowing underneath the mask. Visual distortion to any that see's them in this state, like a graphical glitch.
Player Form Capabilities
Their eye color is now a hazy purple-gray. Similarly to their Watcher form, experiencing emotions can cause their eyes to turn to a more vibrant purple, and become illuminated.
They can shapeshift their form. If a Player was a hybrid before it's conversion to a Watcher, their traits remain. Their Watcher Form hides these features, and they can also be hidden or altered by their shifting.
Purple wings are always part of them, becoming part of their default form.
Wings can be altered while shapeshifting. Length, width, color, feathers vs scales, etc. are all able to be changed, but they always must remain part of them. Their size can, however, be made small enough to disguise them and appear human.
Wings, tails, hair length, hair color, ears, and clothes are all that can be manipulated. Unlike wings, hybrid Players can completely shift their tell-tale features away.
Players
Qualifications to be a Player
Cognitive Ability
Awareness of self (pain, desire, etc.)
One limb or more capable of holding and manipulating an item
Land mobility
Ability to care for one's own needs (The children of Players are not registered as Players until they reach that milestone. At ages six-eight, they obtain that status. Dependent on the age and maturity of a hybrid/non-human species)
Capable of Respawning
If all are met, they are registered as a Player. Being a Player comes with a Communicator, the main system to access the greater Universe.
Communicators
Communicators offer: Settings, server-list, world creation, texting/messaging, video calling, basic/generic social media
Players join a Server or world by selecting their desired location, and placing it on an unlit netherportal frame.
Communicators are not breakable, and are tethered to a player. They hover, teleport, follow you, and if you do "break it", like shattering it, it respawns. They are an extension of yourself, that allows you greater control in the Universe.
Communicators are the access point for Inventories. Inventories are a pocket-dimension, which you access through the Communicators Graphic User Interface. Breaking items drops them as a digital, or holographic image on the floor. Stepping or touching it will automatically collect it, and put it in your Inventory.
Players are capable of overwriting the inventory, by turning off the setting. Doing so will make it so your tools do not react how they typically wood, and work as real-world items. However, it also means physically carrying them and real manual labor.
Anthro/Animal Players
In the situation of a world/Server being deleted, Watchers and the Universe will pick the most interacted-with animal(s), and the ones that witnessed the most behavior of a Player, and the former mob(s) will take the Player's place. They are warped and made humanoid to fit the previously mentioned criteria.
The longer they were a pet/companion to the Player(s) the more memories of their time as a Mob they’ll remember. Most forget overtime, and will take on the memories of their Player/owner believing them to be their own.
Spawned
While Players can be born, they can also be spawned by Devs or Watchers. Players can be created anywhere from the ages of 8 and up. They will spawn (typically) in a single player world of their own, an assigned Username, and the knowledge that they're meant to survive and discover.
Hybrids
Hybrid Players are typically Mob and Human to qualify, but that's not always the case. There can be double or triple Mob hybrids, without Human, though uncommon. Hybrid Players can be born from two Human parents. In the case of a Player becoming pregnant, The Universe has a small chance of giving the baby a Hybrid-feature to make it more inclined to their surroundings. Hybrid Players are more common for Spawned, but both is possible. Two Hybrid Players of different species typically ends up with the child being one or the other, not both, but it can happen.
Usernames
Usernames for Spawned are automatically assigned, but can be changed.
Usernames for Players who are born, is a prompt given to them the day the world considers them a Player. At this time, their parent typically have given them a name. Their Username typically contains said name, but with alterations/additions. These Usernames are chosen by the Player, however, and as such can at-times be completely unrelated. That is their legal name.
Disability
Accessibility was painstakingly given to ensure every Player could live a life. Devs do not oversee the creation of every single person. They allow them to live, make mistakes, etc. and do not want every Player the same. There is assistance and accessibility for the hearing and seeing impaired, limited mobility folks, etc.
Deafness
Subtitles on their Communicator act as you imagine they would. Only seeable in your eyes, is a small black box in your peripheral that describes the sounds around you.
Visual indicator of where a noise is coming from. Each line in the Subtitles has a corresponding color, and an arrow of the same color, small and in the peripherals, that point towards its direction until it fades. Able to be turned off.
Blindness
One small earplug that narrates your surroundings. It gives the distance between you and a Player/Mob, the amount of blocks you’re looking at and what they are, the registered Username of a Player, etc. Warnings for steps up and step down.
The option to describe a Player (hybrid, hair and hair color, eye color, etc)
Some use a guide cane, or can train a mob to be their guide.  Some prefer the narration and can navigate through life fine that way.
Mobility
Using your Communicator, you can transform something into a wheelchair, crutches, cane, etc. In doing so, Servers will automatically allow you to keep them on/with you. It does not take space in the inventory. They are fully customizable by the Player.

for an "imagine me & you" (which i'm loving, by the way) prompt, maybe something more with the spiderman AU from chapter 52?
Dan adjusted his badge as he was ushered through the door by Hill's personal assistant, Mallory Mead. Her bob of blonde hair and pretty face reminded him of Meg. Just the thought had him wrinkling his nose as he followed her through the sleek, high-ceilinged lobby. Had Hill hired her just for that reason? Had he suggested she get a haircut and take to calling him Carl?
He shuddered involuntarily.
Mallory must have noticed. "Yes, we keep the facility quite cool. It helps with all the heat from the workshops, you see."
"I do," Dan replied, straightening up. He couldn't afford to get distracted and slip up now. He'd worked too hard to be chosen as the delegate for the proposed collaboration between the hospital and Hilltop. He had to be on his best game. "I'm used to it from working in the hospital."
Mallory smiled an artificial smile, making her look like a new model of lifelike android Hilltop had just developed. "Of course."
Dan smiled back at her, though hopefully without the plastic quality. "I'm looking forward to see all the facilities with you."
They came to a halt at the far wall of the lobby, adjacent to where scientists and mechanics were filtering in and out of elevators. Even in her heels, Mallory still barely reached Dan's chin, but the curve of her painted lips was assured as she surveyed him. He itched for his mask but he wasn't here as Funnel Web. No. Today he was regular ol' Dan Cain.
"Unfortunately, I won't be able to show you our stunning facility today," she said. "Or Dr. Hill. He has some unexpected urgent meetings to attend to in regards to the development of our latest model. He sends his apologies. He was very much looking forward to meeting you, Dr. Cain."
Dan told himself that the hard look in her eye was just his imagination. That she probably just looked at people like that all the time. It certainly wasn't an indicator that she- and by extension, Hill- knew anything particular about him.
So, he simply nodded and said, "That's a shame. I suppose we'll have to arrange for another time then-?"
"Not at all," Mallory cut in smoothly. "We've already got someone else who can give you the grand tour. He's a doctor, like yourself, so he'll doubtless be able to answer any questions you have better than I could."
At that moment the elevator closest to them dinged open. Dan glanced over and had to fight to keep his expression neutral as Herbert West of all people emerged, his pristine lab coat fluttering behind him. Mallory motioned for him to come closer and Herbert begrudgingly complied, flicking a glare Dan's way as he approached.
"Dr. West," Mallory began once Herbert was between them. "This is Dr. Cain from Miskatonic Hospital. He's here to tour our facilities today, so I want you to show him everything you can and tell him all he wants to know, alright?"
"Of course," Herbert answered with a roll of his eyes. "Why get any actual work done when I could just babysit all day?"
Dan had to bite down on the smile threatening to split his face. It was just such a Herbert thing to say, right down to his insulting drawl. He couldn't help the surge of fondness that swept through him, seeing that characteristic ire directed unknowingly at his ally, Funnel Web.
"I'll try not to be too much trouble," Dan promised, though Herbert didn't look convinced.
"I know you'll take good care of him," Mallory said to Herbert with just enough sternness for Dan to not miss it.
Herbert remained silent, staring stonily at the back of her designer blazer as she sauntered away, leaving Dan alone with him. They stood in silence, smartly-dressed Hilltop employees swarming past them like a current around a rock. Dan cleared his throat, hoping to break the tension, but Herbert just turned his glare on him.
"Great lobby you got here," Dan tried with a charming smile.
Herbert just gave him a withering look and turned on his heel. "Come along," he said, waving over his shoulder for Dan to follow. "We'd best just get this over with."
It wasn't the warmest reception but Dan would take it. He followed Herbert over to the elevator, up to the higher floors, where Dan was showed the assembly line of some of Hill's lesser robots. Posters of the CEO were hung up on every wall, his grinning face accompanied by various company slogans, such as: Life made easy with Hilltop Robotics, and Why live hard when you can live on top?
Dan snorted at that last one.
"There you have it," Herbert said after rattling off a long list of electronic jargon at Dan. "Some of the greatest advancements in the history of robotics, reduced to performing household chores."
He flapped his hand with disgust at the line of AI-infused vacuum cleaners being taped up into premade, Hilltop branded boxes.
"Interesting," was all Dan said as he watched Herbert grip the railing.
"Is it?" Herbert demanded, eyes shooting over to squint at Dan. "Because you don't sound all that interested. I've heard of this supposed partnership with Hilltop and Miskatonic. A laser drill, wasn't it?"
Dan nodded. "To assist in craniotomies. Director Halsey seems to think it'll be financially beneficial for the hospital."
Herbert scoffed. "Beneficial in lining Hill's soiled pockets, more like it."
He shook his head, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose. Dan did the same with his own glasses. He didn't need to wear them anymore, not since his vision had been enhanced by the spider bite that gave him his powers, but he thought it was easier to keep up his appearance of his old self. Surely, no one would suspect a man with a vision impairment of being Funnel Web.
"Hill would only ever do something if it benefitted him," Herbert went on. "If the hospital gets something out of it then it's a pleasant--though unintended-- consequence. Nothing more."
"Do you really not remember me?" Dan asked.
He hadn't planned on saying it, but it was all that had been running through his head as he'd stood there, listening to Herbert talk. Did Herbert not remember him? They'd been in med school together for nearly two years, had interacted quite often during that time. Truth be told, Dan hadn't thought much of Herbert during that time. He'd viewed him as stuck-up and unnecessarily mean (two assumptions he stood by after getting to know Herbert).
But that had been before their...professional relationship as Dr. West and Funnel Web had developed. And, of course, something else.
He still recalled the soft press of Herbert's lips against his. The roar of the rain around them, the cold seeping through the thin fabric of Dan's costume as he'd hung upside-down from his webbing. He'd only felt warm the places where Herbert had been touching him. Funnel Web hadn't been able to visit him again since then, being too tied up with his day job, but that didn't mean Dan didn't think about it.
He did. Often.
Herbert just looked at him strangely. "Of course, I remember you." He paused, then added with emphasis, "Daniel."
Dan shivered at the sound of his name falling from Herbert's lips. He rarely got to hear it. Herbert mostly called him 'Web' or 'Spider.' Not Daniel.
"Oh, well," Dan fumbled to say, growing hot under Herbert's scrutiny. "I, uh, wasn't sure. That you did."
Herbert rolled his eyes, but he was smiling. "Well, I'm very sorry for not greeting you like an old, dear friend. Now, come along. Let's finish this tour so I can get back to work."
He turned his back to Dan and Dan felt the irrational urge to reach out and grab him, turn him around and tell him who he really was. I'm Funnel Web! he wanted to scream. I'm not just some nobody you went to school with! We know each other. We've worked together.
You've kissed me.
But, of course, he couldn't say any of that. He could never reveal his secret identity to Herbert or anyone else. It was for the sake of everyone's safety, not just his own. To put Herbert in more danger than he already was just so he could maybe kiss him again was beyond selfish. Definitely not the kind of thing a hero should do, or even consider doing.
Herbert seemed to realise Dan wasn't following him as he stopped and looked over his shoulder at Dan's frozen form.
"Are you coming?" he asked, like he couldn't care less either way.
Dan swallowed the knot forming in his throat and nodded. "Yeah," he said, ungluing his feet from the metal flooring and stepping after Herbert. "I'm coming."

DR TABIA LEE: Accused of 'whitesplaining'. Told students are either 'victims' or 'oppressors'. And then fired as diversity chief... my grim story of how woke extremists are taking over America's colleges
-
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs on college campuses are being turned on their heads.
Instead of promoting creative new ideas, fairness and welcoming spaces, DEI departments have been hijacked by ideological extremists to enforce ideological compliance.
Believe me, I should know.
In August 2021, I was hired to lead an institution wide transformation as a faculty director for the Office of Equity, Social Justice, and Multicultural Education at De Anza Community College in Cupertino, California. As a life-long teacher, dedicated to pursuing diversity, inclusion, anti-racism, and equity and equality in education this was a dream come true.
Unfortunately, my dream job quickly became a nightmare. And ultimately, I was fired.
I have now come to recognize that adherents of 'critical social justice theory' at De Anza College, who view all social dynamics through a lens of power and privilege, also use it as a cudgel to beat down and silence anyone with whom they may disagree.
Even I, someone who some may assume would be on the side of so-called 'social justice warriors,' was too heterodox in my thinking. And I was bullied out.
To be clear, I am not a liberal or a conservative, nor a Republican or a Democrat. I don't identify as a radical, progressive, or feminist. I have spent my life avoiding labels. I am an educator, scholar, humanist and critical thinker. And it is people like me who are – sadly – being chased out of education.
During the hiring process at De Anza, I was told that the previous leadership running the Office of Equity was 'too woke' and alienating people. Their approach was apparently very aggressive. They would 'call people out,' and accuse them of racism.
It was a sentiment echoed by multiple individuals in over 60 hours of conversations that I conducted to assess the needs of the campus. Many expressed discomfort with the college's intellectually oppressive culture and rigid ideologies.
Tumblr media
So, I assured the hiring committee that my approach would be different. As I have all my career, I pledged to create spaces of inquiry where diverse and even divergent viewpoints could be heard would be welcomed and accepted. It is my belief that through this process, people can find areas of commonality and work together in the best interest of students.
Little did I know that this approach would be considered a threat by De Anza College ideologues. And conflict erupted almost immediately after I was hired.
I discovered that fellow faculty and administrators were using definitions for White Supremacy that I was not familiar with. To me, White Supremacy is associated with White Nationalism, the KKK, and Neo-Nazi organizations.
Instead, at De Anza College, White Supremacy was often associated with qualities, such as being on time, objective thinking, using written communications, setting an agenda, and demonstrating a sense of urgency.
These beliefs were aligned with the work of a scholar named Tema Okun and these re-definitions of White Supremacy were not only perpetuated at De Anza College but throughout the California Community College system.
I set out to engage with the De Anza community to develop a better understanding of various words and practices.
I questioned why De Anza's official communications capitalized some student racial categories and not others. For example, the word 'black' was capitalized, while the word 'white' was not. I questioned the use of terms like 'Latinx' and 'Filipinx' to refer to people of Latino and Filipino descent. In my years of experience working with Spanish-speaking and working-class communities, not once did the community ever use those terms to describe themselves.
I believe that terms like 'Latinx' are manipulations of language that originated in the Ivory Tower of academia.
But when I raised these topics for exploration, there was never constructive engagement. Instead, I was put under the spotlight and accused of being aligned with right-wing extremists.
For attempting to set an agenda for meetings, I was accused of Whitespeaking and Whitesplaining and supporting White Supremacy.
As a faculty director, not an administrator, I assumed that I would be permitted all of the academic freedoms of speech and expression that a tenure track position is usually afforded. I was wrong.
In fact, my tenure review process was subverted by ideological extremists, who used it to harass, bully and eventually fire me.
I now have a better understanding of the dominating ideology at work at De Anza College and throughout many of our California Community Colleges.
Unfortunately, a few bad actors working under a banner of 'Critical Social Justice' are subverting the tenure review processes and creating an ideological litmus test for career advancement.
A tenure review process, or any teacher evaluation process should be an objective, evidence-based process. In my case, it was used as an authoritarian enforcement mechanism.
It is my great fear that if folks pushing Critical Social Justice ideology have their way, faculty in California Community Colleges will be required to profess allegiance to certain rigid ideas.
Faculty will be forced to commit to embedding these ideas into their course curriculum. They will be compelled to state their pronouns and demand that all members of their classroom do the same. They will have to view every student as a victim or an oppressor.
There is a reason why these faux-academics insist on chasing free-thinkers out of their midst – it is because they cannot defend their own ideas.
I hope that by sharing my story, I can shine a light on this issue. And since coming forward, I have been contacted by many people, who say they've experienced the same treatment.
Too many faculty members in California Community Colleges are afraid to question this emerging Critical Social Justice ideology. Too many are afraid to question or resist lest they be labeled a racist or worse.
History has shown us that authoritarianism advances through a reliance on intimidation and the compliance of a majority that cowers in fear.
To the educators out there, I encourage you to keep asking questions and promoting critical thinking. There are resources out there to protect your civil liberties. And I want you to know that you are not alone.

Hiring Developers on Contract: Freelance Platforms Vs IT Agencies
According to Bloomberg – the dominant search engine site, Google has about half of the workforce who work as contractors and freelancers and do not enjoy the benefits of full-time employees of Google.
In the social era, where businesses openly accept working with Developers on a contractual basis, ‘Freelancing Platforms’ and ‘C2C Talent Outsourcing IT Agencies’ have successfully filled the hiring gap. These businesses help in the collaboration of skilled developers with businesses that are looking to hire on contract.
But, how does one decide between hiring from Freelance Websites or IT Agencies?
Well, it depends on your specific needs, the nature of the project, and your preferences. Let’s list the considerations:
Project Complexity
When dealing with complex projects, the scope of skill required is high and can’t be offered by a single freelancer.
Agencies have diverse talents associated with them who are trained to deliver multifaceted projects smoothly.
Contractors from freelancing platforms will provide expertise for an individual skill so if your project requires a breadth of skills, hiring from an Agency will be a wise decision.
Budget Constraints
In a situation where budget is a constraint, the most cost-effective solution would be to select from a freelancing platform. One can evaluate multiple bids, screen skilled professionals, and finalise one that fits your budget criteria.
On Contract Developers from agencies bring expertise in multiple fields, and complete project support, and thus may offer higher costs compared to freelancers, but will surely bring more value in the long run.
Timeline
Freelance Developers from freelancing platforms are more suitable for projects with short timeframes. Their flexibility and professionalism help them to deliver prompt results with great quality.
Hiring Developers from an Agency is ideal for long-term projects as it requires frequent changes, additional expertise and suggestions from experienced peers from time-to-time.
Risk Tolerance
Freelancing platforms maintain risk management by providing the option of rating and comments for freelancers, via which clients can make the hiring decision. Such systems aid employers in looking at transparent comments and filtering out candidates until one is finalized.
Contrarily, agencies ensure low risk, higher consistency and reliability via standard processes. Clients get agency support and also assurance of work getting done even if the hired talent is not available.
Long-Term Relationship
For clients with the vision of long-term work requirements, hiring from agencies can be a wise decision in terms of stability and surety of getting work done.
As freelancer from freelancing platforms won’t be available every time to take up your project as they might have their existing commitment.
Hence, opting to hire from agencies for long-term requirements ensures quick availability of required talent who are pre-vetted by the agency itself and are perfect fit for the projects, rather than going through the same process of putting up projects and selecting ideal freelancers from websites.
Quality of Work
When it comes to quality, both freelancers and agencies deliver excellence. It’s essential to review portfolios and previous projects.
Though, Agencies usually allot a Project Manager to foresee the progress of their shared Talents and act as escalation points. These Project Managers have personal KPIs to ensure the Talent is performing as expected; else a quick correction or replacement is made to make sure the project is not compromised unlike in the case of a Freelancer
Post-Project Support
Post delivery support is a crucial part of any project and clearly Agencies have an upper hand in ensuring the support commitments are fulfilled independent of the developer.
Before coming to a conclusion, let’s look at some pros and cons of contract developer hiring from freelance platforms and IT Agencies.
ProsFreelance PlatformsIT Talent Outsourcing Agencies1. Easy navigation with access to global talent. 2. Complete expertise in one specific skill. 3. Flexible schedule for remote project collaboration.1. Access to pre-screened and trained professionals. 2. Diverse expertise that leads to project efficiency. 3. Ensures quality work, continuous support, and client satisfaction.
ConsFreelance PlatformsIT Talent Outsourcing Agencies1. Lack of accountability can lead to project delays. 2. Freelancers might lack access to premium tools and resources. 3. Inconsistency among freelancers can lead to unpredictable project results.1. Agency charges are comparatively higher. 2. Complex hierarchies can lead to miscommunication.
What’s the Verdict
More than the source, what matters is to onboard the right talent for your project. Without appropriate talent, there’s no point in a great idea that’s not been able to get implemented.
The first step that needs to be taken is to evaluate your project requirements and prioritize them considering the combination of factors. It’s crucial to thoroughly vet both freelancers and agencies, communicate clearly about your expectations, and ensure that the chosen option aligns with your project goals and constraints.
Both these options have a bunch of pros and cons that can’t be neglected concerning the project’s requirements.
The last say depends upon client preference and the project type. We would recommend exploring both freelancing platforms and agencies to hire remote and skilled developers.

Innovate, Not Imitate: A New Perspective on App Developer Choice
Tumblr media
In today’s fast-paced digital landscape, mobile apps have become an integral part of our lives. From ordering food to managing finances, we rely on these pocket-sized wonders to simplify tasks and enhance experiences. As a business owner, choosing the right app developer is crucial for success. But how do you navigate this crowded market and make an informed decision? Let’s explore a fresh perspective on app developer choice—one that emphasizes innovation over imitation.
The Phoenix Connection: App Developers in Phoenix, AZ
Phoenix, Arizona, with its vibrant tech scene and entrepreneurial spirit, is home to a growing community of app developers. These professionals blend creativity, technical expertise, and business acumen to craft exceptional mobile solutions. When seeking an app developer, consider the following factors:
Local Expertise: Hiring app developers in Phoenix means tapping into local knowledge. They understand the unique needs of the region, user preferences, and cultural nuances. Plus, face-to-face collaboration fosters better communication and project alignment.
Tailored Solutions: A mobile app development company in Phoenix can create customized solutions that align with your business goals. Whether it’s a consumer-facing app, an enterprise solution, or a game-changing innovation, local developers can tailor their expertise to your vision.
Agility and Speed: Phoenix app developers thrive in an environment that values agility. They adapt swiftly to market changes, incorporate user feedback, and iterate rapidly. When time-to-market matters, local talent delivers.
Beyond the Basics: Mobile Application Development in Phoenix
While technical prowess is essential, successful app development goes beyond coding. Here’s where Phoenix shines:
User-Centric Design: Phoenix app developers prioritize user experience. They understand that intuitive interfaces, seamless navigation, and delightful interactions drive adoption. Your app should resonate with users, solving real-world problems elegantly.
Innovation Ecosystem: Phoenix’s collaborative ecosystem fuels innovation. Developers attend meetups, hackathons, and conferences, exchanging ideas and staying abreast of industry trends. When you hire locally, you tap into this dynamic network.
Quality Assurance: Rigorous testing ensures your app functions flawlessly. Phoenix developers adhere to industry standards, perform thorough QA checks, and address any glitches promptly. A bug-free app builds trust with users.
The Art of Differentiation: Hire App Developer in Phoenix
Now, let’s discuss how to choose the right app developer:
Innovate, Don’t Duplicate: Avoid cookie-cutter solutions. Instead of imitating existing apps, seek developers who innovate. Look for creativity, fresh perspectives, and a willingness to push boundaries.
Portfolio Assessment: Review the developer’s portfolio. Does it showcase diverse projects? Are there unique features or novel approaches? A standout portfolio reflects innovation.
Collaboration and Communication: Choose a developer who listens, collaborates, and communicates effectively. Innovation thrives in an environment where ideas flow freely.
The Pitfalls of Imitation Games: Why Replication Won’t Lead to Success
In a world saturated with apps, simply replicating existing features is a recipe for failure. Here’s why:
Standing Out in a Crowded Market: If your app offers nothing new or unique, why should users choose it over established competitors? App Developers in Phoenix AZ need to be creative and bring fresh ideas to the table.
Missing the Mark on User Needs: Just because an app exists doesn’t mean it addresses user needs effectively. A good mobile app development company phoenix will partner with you to understand your target audience and develop solutions that truly resonate with them.
Innovation Fuels Growth: The most successful apps push boundaries and solve problems in novel ways. By focusing on innovation, you can gain a competitive edge and attract a loyal user base.
Net-Craft.com: Your Phoenix Partner for Innovative Mobile App Development
At Net-Craft.com, a leading mobile application development phoenix company, we believe in the power of innovation. We don’t just build apps, we build game-changers. Here’s how we’ll help you create a truly groundbreaking mobile app:

By outsourcing your cleaning needs to a professional company, you can reclaim precious hours each week to focus on the things that truly matter to you, whether it's spending time with loved ones, pursuing hobbies, or simply unwinding after a long day.
2. Enhance Your Health and Well-being:
A clean environment goes a long way in promoting good health and well-being. Professional cleaners are equipped with the knowledge and tools to remove dust, allergens, and bacteria from your home or office, significantly reducing the risk of illnesses and allergies.
This is especially beneficial for individuals with respiratory problems or young children who are more susceptible to germs.
3. Boost Productivity and Focus:
Working in a cluttered and unclean environment can have a detrimental effect on your focus and productivity.
Professional cleaning services can ensure your workspace is organized, tidy, and free of distractions, allowing you to work more efficiently and achieve your goals with greater ease.
"A clean environment fosters productivity and peace of mind."
4. Make a Great First Impression:
Whether you're hosting clients at your office or welcoming guests into your home, a clean and well-maintained space creates a positive and lasting impression.
Professional cleaning services can ensure your space always looks its best, reflecting your professionalism and attention to detail.
5. Extend the Lifespan of Your Belongings:
Regular cleaning by professionals not only removes dirt and grime but also helps extend the lifespan of your carpets, furniture, and other household items.
By employing proper cleaning techniques and high-quality products, professional cleaners can prevent dust and dirt buildup from causing premature wear and tear, saving you money on replacements in the long run.

You can rest assured that your home or office will be cleaned thoroughly and professionally, allowing you to focus on other aspects of your life without worry.
7. Benefit from Expertise and Experience:
Professional cleaning companies employ trained and experienced staff with the knowledge and expertise to tackle various cleaning challenges.
They are equipped with the necessary tools and equipment to handle specific cleaning needs, from deep cleaning carpets and upholstery to sanitizing high-touch surfaces.
8. Save Money in the Long Run:
While the initial cost of hiring a professional cleaning service may seem like an added expense, it can save you money in the long term. Professional cleaners use high-quality, concentrated cleaning products that last longer and are more efficient than store-bought solutions. Additionally, their expertise helps prevent damage to your belongings, saving you from costly replacements.
