it really fucks me up how often house md has this message of “the love was there. just not enough.” because of COURSE chase and cameron loved each other. of course house and cuddy were in love and foreman and thirteen were in love and wilson and sam were and cuddy and lucas and house and lydia and house and stacy and taub and rachel but. it just wasn’t enough. the love was there and it matters that it was there. but it saves no one. it fixes nothing. they still move on. they still leave. somebody is always left alone in the end. EXCEPT house wilson who broke this pattern For Yaoi rasones.

Season 6 of House was in 2009... Dragon Age: Origins was also released in 2009... I just think that if Thirteen played it, she would have had her Warden romance Leliana...

Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 136 (Twists and Turns)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next morning, Heather woke to a fresh blanket of spring snow (must be Canada 😂). She was hit with another bout of nausea, and stunned by news that one of her vet techs, Rico Garrison, had been unceremoniously culled killed in a shock drowning accident in Dachshund's Creek. This left her down a tech and about to commit to a months-long rebuild of Buttercup Pet Clinic.
Despite the unseasonably snowy holiday and feeling less than stellar, Heather had to go to work to cover Rico's appointments. She felt horrible for her best tech, Kaori Hayashi, who had been dating Rico since late winter. They were even expecting a child, which meant Heather would soon lose Kaori to maternity leave, too. At least Thaddeus, her most recent hire, could help pick up the slack, but this was undoubtedly a tragic setback.
Tumblr media
Despite the unseasonal snowfall, J Huntington came in with his dog, Archimedes, thanking Heather for her advice over working with Landgraab Corp. "I signed the contract to give them the company. They'll take care of straightening out George's books, and for the first time, my guys will get healthcare, so everyone's on board with the change."
Heather forced a smile. She didn't care much for things that would please Nancy Landgraab, but she knew a strong presence at the docks was important after everything they'd been through over winter. "I'm happy for you," she said, and it wasn't a total lie.
She returned home in mid-afternoon, finding her younger sister back from Henford in the living room. "Hey Hazel! How was Easter dinner?"
Tumblr media
"It was great." She fiddled with the hem of her jacket as she sat on the sofa. "I'm sorry I got upset with you while you were away. I was freaking out about all the marriage talk, but I shouldn't have put that on you."
"It's okay," said Heather. "I'm not upset, but I couldn't tell you what you should do. What if I had said no?" (That option won the poll, by the way!)
"I would've been more upset," she admitted. "I'm not ready to marry again right now, but I want to be with her for a long time."
"Did you talk to Suri?"
"I did. She said she's been feeling like she needs to hold on to the important people in her life since she lost her aunt so suddenly, and I totally understand what she's going through. But it's too soon to get married. We want to live together first - just the two of us."
Tumblr media
"Here in Brindleton Bay?"
Hazel nodded. "I like working with Alex Goth, and the deal's almost done for Suri to buy the Salty Paw. She said when the owners found out her grandmother was Clara Bjergsen they did their own renovations and upped the price, but once a deal goes through, I'll move in with her in the small apartment over the bar."
"There's an apartment over the bar?"
"Not much of one, but we're going to try to turn it into something nice."
"I'm happy for you, Hazel. And I'm happy you handled this so maturely with Suri."
Tumblr media
"You didn't think I could, did you."
"I hoped you would."
"Are you sure you guys won't miss me when I'm gone?"
"The Salty Paw's only about fifteen blocks away."
They laughed together and Hazel smiled. "Thanks for everything, sis. You're the best."
Tumblr media
Heather still wasn't feeling great as she tried to get a few chores done around the house. She'd started to feel like she was fighting off an infection; it was time to see a doctor, so she left Conrad at home with Lavender to visit her gynecologist.
But she came home in a daze, stunned by the doctor's diagnosis. She found Conrad and Lavender upstairs, chatting as Lavender tried to bargain for another story. "When you're five, we'll talk about a later bedtime, but until then, that's now. Time to get into your pajamas." Conrad's attention turned when Heather shut the bedroom door behind her. "Hey! What did the doctor say?"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Heather sighed. "Well, I have a UTI. But that, the nausea, the fatigue...they have nothing to do with the spider bite."
Conrad's face fell. "What's up? You're okay...right?"
"I'm pregnant. About seven weeks."
She smiled as his expression flipped from concern to ecstatic joy. "Heather, that's incredible!"
Lavender glanced at her parents with confusion. "What's pregnen?"
Tumblr media
"It means you're going to have a baby brother or sister."
Lavender still wasn't sure what they meant. "I have a brother awreddy. Can it be sister?"
"We don't choose, sweet girl."
"I hope it's a sister!"
Tumblr media
After tucking Lavender into bed they settled onto the sofa for a comfortable night in, but their movie was interrupted when Heather's phone rang. She checked the call display before she connected the call. "Malcolm? What's going on? Is Ash there?"
The line was quiet for a long time. Too long, and Heather felt the phone start to shake in her hand. Finally, she heard Malcolm take a breath.
Tumblr media
"Heather...I...It's...Ash is missing. H-he's been kidnapped." ->
<- Previous Chapter | Gen 2 Start | Gen 2.1 Summary
Gen 1 Start | Gen 1 Summary
NOTE: Sorry I buried the baby news, but I didn't have enough content to make a whole other post and I set myself another arbitrary deadline to get to a certain point in the story by a certain date. And Heather was supposed to learn she was pregnant later than this, but the mod-generated UTI sent her to the gynecologist and she/we found out earlier than planned. No offense to this very wanted baby but ASH IS MISSING!!
NOTE 2: @purplesimmer455 the way I couldn't react with the excitement I wanted to your meme share on Sunday knowing I paid homage to it in this very post ("What's pregnen?") and didn't want to give the truth away yet! 😅 Shout out to @matchalovertrait who also guessed this, and @changingplumbob who I think was thinking it when she asked why Ash's room had bunk beds. I made up a small fib about repurposing the tiny nursery space, but actually I still need it for the new nooboo!
NOTE 3: On one hand, it's very sad that Rico was culled when he's expecting a baby. On another hand, this is a setback on my likely-fruitless search for a five-star rating because now I have to train up a new tech! Tragic!!
WCIF Phone Poses: Unexpected Phone Call by @starrysimsie and Shocked News by @simmireen. I used @nataliaauditore-blog's iPhone 11 accessory in both poses.

everything that happens in the deleted house episode 7x01 thunder roadtrip
a summary if you will
The episode begins similar to Now What. It’s the morning after the season 6 finale and the building collapse. House and cuddy are in bed.
Honestly guys, they fr just fuck a lot. Like a lot. The actual sex scenes are omitted from the script pdf, but its allllllll they talk abt.
House is ignoring wilson’s calls.
They drink wine on the couch and ‘happily argue’ (literal exactly how the script describes it), house plays guitar for cuddy. They fuck again.
House convinces to Cuddy to take the day off work to celebrate the fact that she said that she said she loves him. They then makeout.
There is no mention of Lucas or her engagement that she just broke off.
They ride house’s motorbike to a very fancy restaurant, House says he met the head chef during his post rehab cooking classes.
Cuddy’s new assistant alex calls and house speaks in a british accent whilst pretending to be cuddy’s nanny. He says cuddy is sick and can’t come in.
OH MY GOD WE HAVE OTHER CHARACTERS AND A B PLOT! PPTH's head neurosurgeon is sick, and that affects the hospitals status as a level one trauma centre and like bad things will happen if he's not there.
Back at the restaurant, they eat weird science-y food in the kitchen. very avant-garde shit. House sneaks away to call chase and tell him to impersonate a neurosurgeon to the assistant so cuddy doesn’t have to come into work/ sort it on her phone.
The restaurant owner comes in and plot twist: house and cuddy were actually breaking in and not supposed to be there. the owner calls the cops.
House and Cuddy then go up to the top of a bell tower in an elevator. But cuddy is scared of heights, when they get back to the ground a musician gives her a joint to smoke for her nausea.
House plays the piano with the stoner musician.
Chase calls, the new assistant doesn’t believe he is a neurosurgeon. She has been apparently reading up on the ducklings.
House tries and fails to light a bonfire on a beach
House finally answers Wilson’s call, he is panicked that house has relapsed and offers to pick him up. Until Wilson realises that house ‘sounds happy’ and drops the issue. Very 'I'm too in this episode'.
House teaches cuddy to drive his motorcycle.
They ducklings go to the home of the neurosurgeon who was too sick to come to work. they drug him to make him feel well enough to come to the hospital. however he is deeply affected by the drugs. They being him to ppth anyway.
Back @ the beach bonfire, cuddy had accidentally broken House's motorcycle.
House suggests they light the bike on fire. They don’t.
Cuddy suggests going home to fuck again, but then house surprises her – they’re going to bruce springsteen in Asbury!
House exaggerates his disability whilst hitchhiking, an elderly couple drive them to Asbury. They get covered in dog hair.
Thirteen and foreman fight about the huntingtons drug trial.
The guy house is buying the springsteen tickets from is a no-show. Two scalpers approach them.
ONE OF THE SCALPER’S PULL OUT A GUN. HE IS ACTUALLY A MUGGER.
The mugger steals house’s wallet and pants. He then lectures house on seeing the worst in people.
Back @ ppth the sick drugged neurosurgeon gets called out for being sick and drugged. Ducklings in trouble. All the icu patients get transferred to different hospitals.
Drugged neurosurgeon starts stripping in the or. And then wait – this is actually a symptom of somrthing else! This is a medical procedural show afterall!
Chase calls prawns shrimp which kills me as an Australian.
House is now wearing novelty pants with ‘little sailboats’ on them.
House and cuddy are both sad abt not getting tickets. Then they have an idea and sneak in w/ the tech crew.
The drugged neurosurgeon is cured of his ailment! The icu is reponed. Hurrah!
House and Cuddy have a deep and meaningful conversation side stage at bruce spingsteen. They talk about fucking but are interrupted by a security guard who kicks them out.
They are sad about this, but then makeout outside the arena.
The end.
I’m trying to find a way to share the script pdf, but am not sure how to go about it (I’m scared of doxxing myself/ my email accidentally by putting it on google drive lol). Let me know if you have any suggestions :)

Been spending my time lately thinking of a House MD au where, through a series of accidents and lies and a bet he didn't rly intend to win, House ends up as a registered foster parent (he's still addicted to Vicodin and his normal dickish workaholic self but for some reason he cleared the requirements and trust me he's as stunned and mildly concerned as everyone else is).
Through further Shenanigans™, he ends up accidentally getting handed fostership of not one, not two, but three hellish but brilliant kids:
1. This total smartass 16 year old named Robert Chase who yeah he's a bitchy teenaged boy and a former rich kid and Australian with enough mommy and daddy issues to reawaken Freud after his dad dipped and absconded all parental rights and his mom drank herself to death, but he's also got a nice car left over from his rich kid days and an eye for detail and weirdly enough his best friend/mortal enemy (some other teen named Eric Foreman) and his on again off again girlfriend (Allison Cameron, totally won't last if u ask House) both work at the hospital as a candy striper and after school in the cafeteria respectively so House can get all the inside gossip from Chase. Plus Chase has no problems breaking and entering into patient's homes which helps bc since he's not employed by the hospital Cuddy can't complain as far as House is concerned.
2. A 14 year old girl who only answers to Thirteen (House knows he could look her name up in her file but honestly it drives Chase nuts that she won't tell him her real name and that's good enough for him) and who's dad was declared unfit after the death of his wife to Huntington's devastated him. She's a total nightmare, snarky and quick witted and freakishly smart even tho she puts most of those smarts towards things like shaving Chase's entire head (eyebrows included) bc he's trying to grow a sucky teenage mustache, and trying to take House's wallet bc she keeps calling him Old Man and he informed her he's actually only 25 but the stress of fostering has aged him prematurely and she's like 95% sure that's a lie but she wants to check his license and make sure bc everyone lies. She loves tormenting Chase by telling him his best friend and/or his girlfriend is hot and asking if they're single.
And 3. This 6 year old boy named Lawrence Kutner who's weirdly cheerful considering his parents got killed in front of him. He's way too chatty and excellent at puzzles and the only morning person in the entire house and therefore frequently tries to make breakfast (he likes to be helpful and he hasn't burned the place down yet so House doesn't feel the need to stop him). Once he told House he was gonna build a Death Star in the living room and House said lol sure go ahead whatever, only to return home from work to discover Kutner called himself out from school and has a huge wooden frame made of broken furniture in the living room. House rly can't argue since he did say go ahead. Benefits of fostering a 6 year old are 1. The babes love it, 2. Free excuse to leave work early/come in late/not show up at all, and 3. Justification for buying juice boxes and Ritz crackers. The neighbor kid Taub is his go to babysitter bc his mom volunteered him forcibly and Taub is lowkey praying that babysitting Kutner could lead to an in at Princeton Plainsboro once he graduates high-school and finishes medical school (it won't, House doesn't believe in nepotism unless it benefits him).
The adventures of House and his Foster Ducklings mostly revolve around being a Found Family, but do involve frequent plots such as:
House fired his brand new fellows again (he tosses em every three or so months, he hasn't found The Right Team yet) and will sometimes bring his foster kids in, hand em doctors coats, and tell patients that they're just a bunch of medical savants here to consult yes even the 6 year old he's actually Harvard's youngest graduate ever.
House sends the kids to break into a patient's home. They refuse. House tells them the first one to find black mold or lead paint or a dead animal or whatever gets $20. They agree. Chase drops Thirteen and Kutner off at a bus stop across town and drives over himself so he can get an hour and a half head start (ultimate fuck them kids moment, however Thirteen did steal his wallet so guess who's paying for lunch and their taxi ride to the patient's house? Net loss.)
Cuddy demands House does his clinic hours. House sends his foster kids to do his clinic hours for him. Tfw you go to the free walk in clinic for a sore throat and a cough and your doctor is a 6 year old boy who keeps asking for help with spelling whilst filling out your chart.
Wilson babysits them one (1) time since House doesn't trust Chase not to throw a party or sell his foster siblings on eBay if left as the one in charge. He wakes up with a big strip of hair poorly bleached right down the middle. Chase crushed up stolen sleeping pills and mixed them into a juice box, which Kutner 'innocently' offered to Wilson. Thirteen was going to bleach and dye his whole head blue (for practice, she wants to dye her hair but she's certainly not gonna fuck up her own hair until she has the method down) but Wilson woke up pretty quickly due to years of House drugging him. Wilson has not offered to babysit again.
Anyways this is my House Foster Ducklings au which I'm thinking about actually writing. Thank u 🫡

generational trauma & cycles in house m.d. characters
currently gnawing at the house m.d. theme of generational trauma.
the way that the patients are often parallels to the main characters, like their ghosts of christmas past.
the doctors seeing their past selves in the patients & healing them the way they never got to heal, to help bring closure to themselves.
ending that cycle of generational trauma passed down from their parents to them, with their patients.
so. i've compiled a fat list of each character's generational trauma/cycles below the cut :D
>> house
the show's title of 'house m.d.' having the word associations of house = home = family, m.d. = medicinae doctor = healer. house as a healer of broken homes.
the way they chose house's name as 'house', a cold & unfeeling version of 'holmes' (house's character inspiration).
house from a broken home himself. the way house was raised by an abusive father in the marines, who was in all likelihood raised by a marine/military father who fought in ww2, raised in the 1940's & brought up on lessons such as 'children must be seen and never heard' and 'men don't cry'. and his father's father was probably raised the same way.
>> wilson
wilson's generational trauma is his family's propensity for schizophrenia: his brother had it, and likely so did extended family members.
like many siblings in his family's generations before, wilson grew up as a glass-child & as the forgotten but reliable middle-child. wilson took care of danny, had to be the perfect son so that his parents never had to worry about him. until wilson missed a phone-call, and danny ran away, so wilson tiptoed around everyone else like broken china through the fear of it happening again.
wilson had always wanted a kid, but despite 3 marriages and reaching the age of 46 by s8, he never had one. the way schizophrenia haunts their family tree like fear & rotting apples.
as a jew born in the late 60s, he grew up experiencing the generational trauma from the holocaust, seeing the first-hand effects it had on people he knew, maybe even family members. he very likely grew up experiencing anti-semitism himself.
>> thirteen
thirteen's family's huntington's disease is also hereditary. thirteen watching her mother lose herself to the disease she knows she could later die to. the way huntingtons stalks & haunts her childhood memories like a grim reaper always looming over her.
playing happy families for a few years until her mother's symptoms start creeping in, like thirteen's grandmother & her mother & her mother before that.
thirteen killing her brother because it's kinder than letting their family's disease taking their bodily autonomy & minds away from them slowly & painfully.
their father outliving his own wife and two children as the lone survivor. no grandchildren, letting the family die off.
thirteen not even coming out to her father because getting close to him would hurt them even more than keeping distance from the family. the grief & gaping distance of their relationship, the way her father blames her for never saying goodbye to her mother & the way they will never be that happy family ever again.
potentially generational trauma of the aids crisis (since she's in the lgbtq+ community) & sexism, but that feels like it's stretching considering these traumas never really crop up
>> chase
chase & his mother's alcoholism; inheriting addictive personalities. alcoholism passed down to chase's sister & alcohol abuse chase picks up post-dibala.
in terms of generational abuse cycles... chase's dad abandoning chase to his alcoholic, neglectful mother to prioritise his medical career. chase abandoning the sister he raised to his alcoholic, neglrctful mother, to do the exact same so he could get out of that stifling hellhole.
chase having a thing for following his australian ancestral roots. he is a lawbreaker, commiting infidelity by sleeping with the groundskeeper's wife in his english seminary school, before being sent back to australia as punishment. he also commits medical malpractice & breaking-and-entering on numerous occasions, and kills a dictator.
>> park
her father's korean, so either him or his parents would have been raised during the korean war (1950-1953). a fuck-tonne of families were seperated in the division of north & south korea, so this generational trauma in-part explain park's family values & loyalty to them. there's probably a whole section of her family out there that she's never known & will never know.
there's also the likelihood that her family lost their homes, jobs & livelihoods in the war, & they never financially recovered. so that's why her family had to work her ass off to make a life for themselves in the usa, why she had to work her ass off to become a doctor in a poor family.
her mother is filipino & would have been raised during the Marcos communist dictatorial era (1965-1986), which involved a fuck-tonne of human rights abuses & the country was under martial law for some time. disobedience meant death. i dread to think the generational trauma she got from that.
potentially generational trauma from sexism, but i'm very likely stretching (since it's never mentioned to be a personal conflict of hers).
>> adams
as the absolute antithesis of park, adams grew up in an old, rich american family; her surname implying she is from the adams american presidential line. semi-hc-territory, but if adams was rich to the degree they emphasise in the show, she likely had a maid who raised her & her parents were absent & neglectful - only giving her gifts as a cold replacement for actual love. adams insists her parents were normal, weren't as bad as her friends' families who dealt with cheating & drug abuse. and maybe it was accepted in their family & upper-class social circles for parents to not be involved in raising their kid; to rarely see them outside of meals, rarely hug them, ask them about their day & only ever tell them to do better, be better for appearances sake. adams' grandparents raised her parents the same way, and they turned out fine, right?
potentially generational trauma from sexism, but again. stretching.
>> cuddy
like wilson, she's a jew born in the late 60s; her dad was born a jew likely pre-ww2 or during ww2 & her mother converted to judaism. she grew up experiencing the generational trauma from the holocaust, seeing the first-hand effects it had on people she knew, likely even family members. she very likely grew up experiencing anti-semitism herself.
there's also the sexism aspect. cuddy's mother, arlene, was a 50's housewife, & pushed & pushed her to do better, be better & take on more responsibilities. to seek out what arlene could never could do because she wasn't as smart, and was born in a generation where women had less opportunities. so cuddy works hard & is never good enough.
>> taub
as a jew born in 1965, he grew up experiencing the generational trauma from the holocaust, seeing the first-hand effects it had on people he knew, likely even family members. he very likely grew up experiencing anti-semitism himself.
>> foreman
as an african-american born only a decade after the 60s civil rights movements & 5 years after martin luther king's assassination, he grew up experiencing the generational trauma of the atrocities committed against african-americans through his family & friends, and very likely experienced racism himself.
>> kutner
kutner... is a tricky one. he experienced the first-hand trauma of his parents being shot in front of him in an armed robbery, but generational trauma? idk whether he'd be able to pick up generational trauma if he was only with his birth parents for 6 years. it's the debate of nature vs nurture: are generational trauma responses literally inherited or are they just picked up in the environment? in which case, would he pick up his foster parents' traumas?
>> cameron & masters
so whilst these two are absolutely not well-functioning human beings & have definitely got their baggageTM, i've got basically nothing in terms of generational trauma on these two. potentially generational trauma from sexism, but once again (x3) that feels like it's stretching considering this is a topic that's barely brought up for them both.

The beginning | Hazel Callahan
You need help from the club so you are going to ask them.
English is not my first language.
this is going to be a series (hopefully)
Song recommendation: Girls Make Me Wanna Die by The Aces (Hazel coded fight me)
Enjoy 🌱
Tumblr media
When you talked about the problem with your teacher, he recommended them to you. It's not like you haven't considered it, but they were honestly kind of intimidating. But in desperate times desperate solutions. And now you needed their help. Cheering yourself up, you opened the gym door at the same time someone fell painfully to the floor with a hollow sound.
"Suck my pussy, Sylvie!" PJ screamed at the top of her lungs.
With unsteady steps you approached them.
"Hi" you spoke with a soft voice.
They all stopped watching PJ's obscene dance celebration and turned to look at you. Even Sylvie who was still laying on the floor.
"I need your help"
"And this one?" PJ asked in confussion looking at you up and down. "Nevermind you are hot" She approached you moving her hair. "What does my lady need me for?" she asked with a flirtatious voice.
You looked around for help.
"Leave her alone" Josie pushed PJ away from you and stood in front of you. "Hi, I'm Josie, you say the you need our help?"
"I know who you guys are" You said looking around at the familiar faces.
"So you knew my name" PJ asked in a flirtatious voice, again.
"Shut up" Josie said as she pulled PJ's ponytail.
"You killed the Huntington guys" you began to explain "My ex... He's been a pain in my ass since I break up with him. He doesn't stop calling or texting me, he has even followed me to my house several times. I don't know what to do. I went to the principal but he told me I shouldn't have broken his heart"
"You want us to do the same thing that we did to those Huntington guys?" Josie asked confused.
"I'm in"
"Shut up Sylvie and get up you're going to choke on your blood" PJ looked at you with a smile "It would be a pleasure to kill for you"
"No, it wouldn't be, wait. We can't kill more people" Josie's exaggerated gestures were kind of funny but you didn't laugh. "We wouldn't even know how, that time it was an accident"
"But it was funny" Stella remembered.
"I didn't say it wasn't, cause I enjoyed it. But we can't kill people... Or more people"
"What about just hurting him" You were sure that the one who just spoke was called Hazel. "Like... Something that is not going to kill him but that is going to cause him intolerable pain"
They were silent for what seemed like minutes.
"Well, it doesn't involve murder so why not?" PJ said as the others shook their heads in approval.
"Now we are gonna end up in prison" Josie complained quietly.
"You know that men think that women are not capable of things like that, we will be fine, don't be a bitch" PJ made everyone sit on the floor "We need a plan, a strategy, something that makes us look smart."
"What about a bomb under his car" Isabel suggested.
"We cannot repeat script, boooring" The one with the ponytail complained.
"What about under his bed?" Brittany said.
"Now we are talking"
"We just said no murders" Josie shouted. "We are gonna help you just... We need time to think of something... legal"
"Boring"
Ignoring PJ Josie turned to see you "Where do you live?"
"Near the store that sells drugs and food for flamingos"
"Perfect" she clapped "Hazel will walk home with you in case your ex shows up"
"Why me?" she asked looking up.
"Because you also live near that store"
"Not so close actually"
"Hazel!"
The two had a strange staring contest where it seemed like they were communicating.
Suddenly Hazel began to nod her head, making her hair strands move in a somewhat hypnotizing way. Wait what? "Ah! that's true, I practically live inside the store, it will be fine, we can go... together. Yes. If you want, cause I want if you want. If you don't want to, that's fine too. Yes"
"Stop" Annie coughed under her breath.
"Smooth" Sylvie scoffed.
What had you gotten yourself into?

stupid chase 13 self indulgent sibling shit:
13 is the first one to jokingly refer to chase as her brother. except she calls him her younger brother. chase is like super touched but also hi i'm older than you "sure you are buddy". it's like an ironic "haha we're not actually siblings" joke except secretly no. it's not ironic
13 also has made at least a couple "let's go find dad" jokes about house. she finds it funny and deeply annoying that house and chase don't seem to Get It. it's very obvious to her that chase's deepest dream is for house to pat his shoulder and say "i'm proud my son" but they deny it
at least once 13 has pat chase's shoulder and gone "i'm proud my son"
at least once though. at least one time. "i killed my older brother." "i abandoned my younger sister to rehab." like they know. all their darkest shit. they don't want to be siblings because they did terrible things to their families. but it's why they are
they text. she's constantly sending him photos from her greek island. the food. the beach. look how hot my girlfriend is. he's in the middle of some gross procedure and gets a text of a beautiful sunset. he sends back a photo of a urine sample or some gross wound
when chase quit at the end of s8 and 13 swung by the next episode to talk with wilson the next day? she was staying with chase while she was in town. they mostly just hung out and watched nature documentaries. when wilson called she was like "oh i just happen to be in new jersey, let's meet up" while wearing sweats and sitting on chase's sofa
chase offers to kill her since house is gone and can't. they come up with a rough timeline and plan and then never discuss it again. until it's time.
at least a few dark "oh, shit, i'm wilson now, aren't i?" jokes from her in return. shit, the new house has a dying best friend too! except with so much less sexual tension!! they joke because they can't bring themselves to be serious about it. she tries to set him up with new friends. big advocate for choreman
idk but i get the feeling they'd watch crappy reality tv together.
they'll sometimes just have the darkest and most serious 1 am conversations about morality and souls and what makes a person good or evil, and then the next time they see one another instead of following up it's just "did you see real housewives last night"
chase has never asked 13 for a favor. like he'll ask her little things or let her pay for lunch, but that's about it. meanwhile she can call him at 2 am and he'll show up no questions asked. maybe kind of grumpy about it tho. kind of pisses her off he never lets her return the favor and sort of shut himself off emotionally after s6. but also it's nice? not the "chase's turn towards cynicism" part, but having a standing no questions asked deal.
when he annoys her enough, 13 DOES call chase "robbie" or worse "bobby" but he's never called her by her first name and probably never will
he didn't tell her he got stabbed and she was mad about it because see above. that was a real bobby day
chase knows she doesn't want to fuck around with more huntington's trials but he reads EVERY article and EVERY journal, just in case some miracle comes up. 13 meanwhile follows fake african country politics with a weird intensity to make sure diabla's forces aren't regaining power. they never discuss either thing with one another.
first time 13 visited Chase MD office she forced him to pose in front of the door and took like 15 photos like it was bobby's first day of school. absolutely humiliating
chase goes to 13 and amy's wedding. he's the only one of the PPTH folks who do (taub sends a card. they forgot to tell foreman.)
once 13 was like "we're both hot and single and should do what hot, single people do!" "....have...sex...?" "no, go to a gay bar" they actually go quite a few times

House MD ending theory
My House post-finale theory and probably an unpopular opinion is that House turns himself in after Wilson dies. Obligatory I Am Not a Lawyer and dental record forgery, stealing and charring a body, possibly arson etc. for faking his own death are serious crimes, but if he actually tried and got a really good lawyer and appealed to "my best friend was dying" etc. he could parole out in 10 years. Or he could plead insanity and go to psych ward for a while because if anyone could get a not guilty by reason of insanity vertict, it's House. His medical license will be permarevoked but House could live with that and find other things to do. Plenty of mysteries to solve in the world. He was willing to accept that when he fake-died. If you ask me, he'd been drifting and spiraling away from being a diagnostician since season 7 anyway.
Before the tickets in the sewer debacle, when House did something reckless, it was usually taking calculated risks (in his mind) for a good reason or doing it anyway but knowing the consequences and willingly accepting at least the possibility of said consequences. When he crashed into Cuddy's, he accepted a year in prison without even getting a lawyer. But flushing tickets down the drain wasn't even something he did for a good reason or really any reason at all, and it backfired so bad. He hurt Adams and Park. He was about to go back to prison for longer than Wilson's time left. And that's because he was already on parole for what he did to Cuddy and didn't even care. If it wasn't for the outstanding parole, he'd have gotten probation and fines. But everything caught up to him when he needed to be there for Wilson the most. If anything was going to get it through his head that he can't be like this anymore, it's Wilson dying.
So when he fake-died, he knew what he was doing and was willing to live with what comes after; he just needed six more months. For Wilson.
So in 2024, House is likely out on parole. Thirteen's Huntington's likely would have onset. He promised Thirteen he'd kill her when she needed him to. He can't get prescription drugs since his license is revoked, but he can figure it out. He's chilling with Thirteen and hanging out with Taub and Chase and even Foreman occasionally. And he'd be there when Thirteen's illness progresses too far.
I think that deep down, House wanted people to stop enabling him. I think he wanted to stop hurting everyone around him, but he needed to spiral truly out of control to finally stop.
Maybe House would never change, maybe this is my wishful thinking, but this is the only way Gregory House will ever make sense to me.

thinking about the intimacy of names in house md. to house wilson is always wilson, occasionally jimmy; never james. the first major character who goes primarily by her first name is stacy; she’s also the only main character to consistently call house ‘greg’. we all know how it ends. thirteen’s real name is revealed in the same two-part special where she tests herself for huntington’s. the first explanation house comes up with for why kutner killed himself was the identity crisis caused by switching from choudhary to kutner. amber’s fate is sealed the moment cut-throat bitch never quite catches on and she reappears as wilson’s girlfriend to call house ‘greg’ with a smile. chase and cameron never quite break out of the habit of referring to each other by their surnames even after marriage and so of course things never work out. Biting at the walls of my enclosure as we speak

Okay. This has been in my drafts for months, and I’m finally sitting down to write it out. It’s so important (to me) that House is the one to call Chase “the prodigal son”, while Thirteen calls herself “the prodigal daughter”.
Chase would never refer to himself as House’s ‘prodigal son’. He was House’s first fellow; the relationship he’s had with House has always leaned more towards mentor/student. He looks up to House as a father figure/pseudo-god-figure by some arguments ("and by god, I of course mean you”) and oftentimes is the one ‘doing anything to prove House right’ (as pointed out by Cuddy in 4x01). At times he sees House as infallible. He lets House get under his skin; he gets sucked into House’s “vortex”, as Wilson says, along with Cameron and Foreman.
He would never be so presumptuous as to refer to himself as House’s ‘son’. that’d be kind of like calling himself Jesus. But House knows he isn’t a god ("god doesn't limp.") And House calling Chase his ‘prodigal son’, to me, is his way of saying, ‘despite all the crap I put you through, I really care about you and I’m glad you’re here. Thanks for deciding to come back.’ He’s acknowledging that no matter what happens between them, Chase will always be someone he respects and sees as one of his ducklings.
On the other hand, Thirteen has spoken to House like much more of an equal from the very beginning. She was never afraid to contradict him or argue with him. When he meddles in her personal life in You Don’t Want To Know (swabbing her water bottle and submitting her DNA for a Huntington’s test) she rightfully yells at him and enforces her boundary. She calls him an idiot over and over again in The Fix (and breaks into his apartment!) despite the fact that he’s her boss again. She even calls him a friend in Charity Case. No matter how much he tries to mess with her, she is the one person who never gets caught in his mess or blindly enables him the same way the others do, as Wilson points out when she leaves in s6. House knows that. He knows their relationship is unique. So of course he wouldn’t refer to her the same way he refers to Chase (prodigal son/prodigal daughter). He also wouldn’t go out of his way to refer to her as a ‘daughter’ because he doesn’t want her to think that he looks down on her, or sees her as lesser/on a lower level (“Yes, I think that little of you and that much of me.”)
Throughout the series, he repeatedly never puts a label on their relationship. So for Thirteen to refer to HERSELF as ‘the prodigal daughter’, she’s 1) reaffirming to House that she cares about him, the same way she did in Charity Case, and the same way House did for her when he promised to kill her in The Dig; and 2) finally acknowledging that she does see House as a father-figure/mentor, and not only a friend or an equal. Part of the shock in House’s expression after their conversation in Holding On is from her saying “and you don’t even like me that much”; but I think the rest of it is from her referring to herself as House’s prodigal daughter. She’s telling him, ‘I’ve never put up with your crap, and I won’t start now. But I care about you a lot, and you are important to me. You’re my friend, but you’re also like a father/mentor to me. Even though I’ve left to go my own way, for the rest of my life I’ll always be one of your ducklings/fellows, and I’m grateful for that.’

the unraveling (poison and wine blurb)
detective loki x reader
tw: blood, vomit, gore, angst, suicide ideation.
POISON AND WINE MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
The air was still stinging with gunpowder, the buzz still in your ears. You watched the man drop above you, watched as blood began to pool. The sudden disappearance of his weight on top of you sent air crashing into your lungs, too soon it hurt.
You hauled yourself to your feel, snot and blood dribbling down your face, your brain buzzing as you targeted Loki, who had just now lowered his gun, eyes blown. Your throat was raw before you even began screaming, "You motherfucker! Why did you shoot? Huh? We had him! I had him! You fucking shot him!"
Your finger jabbed into Loki's chest like a knife, your face hot and angry, veins threatening to burst, "We had him! He was talking! He was telling me where she was. I had her. I had her! You motherfucker!"
Loki took your words silently, unmoving and stoic. He let you scream at him, poke him, demean him. He could see the suspect over your shoulder laying on the floor, the pool of blood getting larger and darker. It's when you started babbling and choking on your words that he stopped you. You weren't an angry detective anymore, you were spiraling into chaos, a broken mother.
Loki took your shoulders into his hands, leaning to meet your eyes, bring you back down to earth, "Hey, Hey. Stop. Stop. You need to stop. I know, okay. I know. Stop."
Pained sobs ripped through you, heaving and fighting for purchase in your bones, "No. She's gone now. Gone! You fucking shot the only guy that knew where she was! I had him. I had him and you didn't trust me. You don't trust me anymore."
"I do trust you. He was on top of you, with a gun pointed at your head. Do you not remember that?" Loki hardened his grip around your arms, blunt nails digging into the back of your blood soaked arms.
You shook your head wildly, "You don't trust me. You don't. You watch my every move, you never let me do my job. You're breathing down my fucking neck! Ever since Mag- ever since her, you don't fucking trust me. I was gone for a second. A second. I hate myself. Loki. I hate myself. I could have found her, if you had let me go. We can find this little girl."
He was going to kill you! I do fucking trust you, don't you ever say that I don't again! I don't blame you for what happened, I never have and I never will. You're the only one that thinks that. You blame yourself. But he was going to kill you today"
"You should have let him."
"What?" Your words felt like a punch to the gut for Loki. You were the ratty girl he met at the fence line of the Huntington Boy's Home, the one who stole menthol cigarettes for him. You, who held him when it all go to be too much, the debilitating panic attacks that had him on his knees as he prayed, begged and pleaded to a God he didn't believe in. You were his salvation. You were the mother of his child.
You swallowed hard, a sudden calm, "You should have let him kill me. Let me go. Let me with her. I deserve to be with her. I'm her mother."
Police deputies flooded the scene, a paramedic turning you away from Loki to examine you. Harsh reality returned as you were escorted to an ambulance, passing Loki who was giving his statement on what had just occurred. The kidnapped girl was found that evening, returned safe to her family before you were even discharged from the hospital.
You were on administrative leave for two weeks. Loki was on sick leave for eight days, watching you sleep, making you food and unraveling every gnarled, knotted thread in your head that threatened to take you from him. He held you as you screamed and cried into his shirt, held back your hair when the guilt became too much, your stomach rolling in waves of vomit and nasuea. You shook in your sleep, Loki always having a steady hand on your back and you tossed and turned.
You were Loki's salvation and he was your prayer.

will never get over the fact that mr. heathcliff and mr. arthur huntington are canonically more attractive than mr. rochester.
aside from the fact that they're both described as being handsome, and mr. rochester is described as being not handsome, we can see this play out in the text. while it's a point that mr. rochester's love interests only want him for his money/status, with arthur and heathcliff that's not entirely the case (you could argue that isabella is partly concerned with heathcliff's newfound wealth, but imo if he wasn't handsome as well, she probably wouldn't bother).
like helen I Love My Bible graham sees arthur and immediately starts drawing and painting him to sublimate her very very obvious attraction that everyone (including him) is aware of. even though she's told he's horrible, she says I CAN FIX HIM!!!! JUST LOOK AT HIM!!! and annabella just openly cheats on her husband with him for years. like helen, isabella linton is told that heathcliff is horrible but she's like BUT HOW CAN THAT BE TRUE WHEN HANDSOME? HAVE YOU SEEN HIM? and as soon as mr. lockwood meets heathcliff in the very beginning he becomes obsessed with him. even after heathcliff lets him be attacked by his vicious dogs, mr. lockwood refuses to leave him alone. not to mention that even the initially biased and usually critical nelly agrees that he's handsome, and cathy literally dying because she regrets not marrying him
— although cathy/heathcliff's bond is much more than skin deep / isn't about looks or regular forms of attraction (bc they have an almost twin-like, spiritual bond) i feel like seeing him healthy and handsome and "glowed up" really hurt cathy 10x more than she was hurt before his return, bc back then she could maybe try to delude herself out of missing him as much by remembering him when he was in his slovenly servant role & embarrassing her infront of the lintons — but seeing proof of his potential & that he always did have it in him to accrue & maintain wealth/education/fashion (and yes, good looks too), & that he could've/would've done so if he'd married her, is really what helped to kill her (aside from... y'know, the whole childbirth thing of course - but the narrative does heavily imply that the drama from heathcliff's return decreased her chances of surviving childbirth, so when i refer to her death, i'm looking at the more internal/emotional causes)

Greg Owen at LGBTQ Nation:
On February 26, 2015, the California Attorney General’s Office stamped “received” on a cover letter from Huntington Beach attorney Matt McLaughlin, acknowledging receipt of a proposed initiative for the November ballot that would authorize the mass murder of gays and lesbians in the state. McLaughlin called his proposal the “Sodomite Suppression Act.” Kamala Harris was the state attorney general. Harris had just won reelection — overwhelmingly — in November, and three weeks before McLaughlin’s measure landed in her inbox, she had declared her intention to seek the U.S. Senate seat occupied by Barbara Boxer, who announced her retirement that January. Now Harris was confronted with a hateful proposal she had no choice but to deal with: under California state law, the attorney general has zero discretion to disregard a properly proposed initiative filing, no matter how intentionally provocative, discriminatory, or felonious.   The “Sodomite Suppression Act” was all three. And prophetic, too.
What came to be known as the “Shoot the Gays” initiative detailed several steps to eliminate the gay and lesbian population of California based on McLaughlin’s interpretation of Scripture. “The abominable crime against nature known as buggery, called also sodomy, is a monstrous evil that Almighty God, giver of freedom and liberty, commands us to suppress on pain of our utter destruction even as he overthrew Sodom and Gomorrha [sic],” McLaughlin wrote. “Seeing that it is better that offenders should die rather than that all of us should be killed by God’s just wrath against us for the folly of tolerating-wickedness in our midst, the People of California wisely command, in the fear of God, that any person who willingly touches another person of the same gender for purposes of sexual gratification be put to death by bullets to the head or by any other convenient method.” The proposed measure would outlaw “sodomistic propaganda directly or indirectly by any means to any person under the age of majority.” Violators would be fined “and/or imprisoned up to 10 years, and/or expelled from the boundaries of the state of California for up to life.”
[...] Harris wasn’t having it. “It is my sworn duty to uphold the California and United States Constitutions and to protect the rights of all Californians,” Harris said as a deadline for action loomed. “This proposal not only threatens public safety, it is patently unconstitutional, utterly reprehensible, and has no place in a civil society.” For the first time, a California attorney general sought relief from her sworn obligation and petitioned the state’s highest court to dismiss it. “If the court does not grant this relief,” she said, “my office will be forced to issue a title and summary for a proposal that seeks to legalize discrimination and vigilantism.” There was little-to-no chance McLaughlin would collect the 365,880 signatures of registered voters required to make the ballot, and even less that Californians would approve it or that it would survive the inevitable court challenges if it did pass.
In 2015, a few months before Donald Trump made the infamous escalator ride to announce his presidential run and SCOTUS’s Obergefell ruling, then-California AG Kamala Harris found a way to reject a bigoted referendum item from making it onto the ballot.
That ballot measure was called the “Sodomite Suppression Act.”
Portions of what was in the act later became standard GOP policy against LGBTQ+ Americans.
