So I’m doing a deep Au thing. I had this idea that when the monumentials wake up it isn’t the only thing. I had an idea that all the Nektons get powers, but along the lines of mermaid stuff. So Ant can talk to fish (at first the rest of his family thinks he might actually be losing it). Then Fontaine gets something to do with music (I was thinking like a siren, with a magical singing voice). Will I was thinking that he would either be able to read ancient languages (he could maybe even do ancient spells) or see into the past. Currently I’m stumped on Kaiko. I’m not sure if I should give her powers like the rest of her family or not (possible angst). Then I’m not sure if I want to give the dark orca any powers or not.
#I’m leaning more towards Kaiko not having powers#I’m debating between giving Fontaine an enchanting voice where she can hypnotize people#or if her voice would just summon water and storms#I may or may not have started this Au after imagining ant talking to Jeffrey and wveryone else thinks he finally lost it#I feel like he would also be able to talk to monumentials#I haven’t thought of what to give alpheus yet#he will play a role though#I feel like they would all also start getting other powers like being able to breathe under water way longer than a normal person#I’m really questioning if other people should get powers in this Au or not#the deep cartoon#fontaine nekton#the deep 2015#the deep#the deep fontaine#ant nekton#the deep ant#the deep kaiko#the deep will#will nekton

Hey if Hazel, Dev, and the gang play DnD, what do you think they would play as.... and how who would be the fortunate(or unfortunate) DM?
When I was 10, my older brother would play massive D&D campaigns in the living room. He tried teaching me the mechanics but it was too much and too boring for my small brain. Instead, I was far more fascinated with things like Warrior Cats.
Apparently Warrior Cats has a d&d game though. So. The kids would all play that instead!
Dev would eventually be roped into joining. Mainly because when you're sitting with a table of kids doing storytelling, you end up getting very invested, and very frustrated when they make the very wrong choices!!!

I know we’ve been begging for a Murph DM season for years now and I would still kill to see it but idk man I think we’ve been dropping the ball. Something about Zac Oyama behind that screen looked right
#dimension 20#d20#fantasy high junior year#fhjy spoilers#zac oyama#brian murphy#brennan lee mulligan#intrepid heroes#honestly I would die to see any of the intrepid heroes dm on d20 and get to use that production budget#but Zac actually sorta led Beardsley to a rational enough place in truly the wildest moment I’ve ever seen#and even though he was clearly still doing a bit it really made me curious what a campaign in d20’s style from him would look like#it feels like the ultimate love letter to have one of them dm for brennan’s world at the series he built#it made Brennan so emotional to see Matt play in his world I can only imagine how proud he’d feel to see one of the intrepid heroes do it#(also yes I do think each and every one of them would look hot running shit and ruining brennan’s life)#anyway! I love when new people come to play or take on new roles! more please!

YESSUR U ALREADY KNOW YA BBG GOT THEM DORYM MOMENTS
(and other moments i like suspoose….))
everybody/npcs being obsessed with dorian and callin him good looking and stuff, he gets all bashful and orym silently smiles.
orym talking to dorian with such a soft voice when speaking of his opal experience. “i know that was a nightmare for you…” UGHH.
laudna suggests they all have funerals for each other. to say what they need to say. robbie and liam sharing a glance???
whenever dorian interacts with his dragon horse, orym always looks so admiringly at dorian.
the way orym remembered how dorian vowed to not abandon the big task in front of his father, and then repeating that they all are okay with taking on the weight- WHILE GLANCING TOWARDS DORIAN, who nods shortly after.
AGH dorian charming chetney!!! the sillies!!!!
just wanna mention how fucking amazing dorian was playing that music for all of the military/war camps. it shows his character so much. and everyone, including liam, was SOOO into it. the little things robbie chooses to make dorian do, because “there’s no other choice”. matt describing how dorian’s presence just uplifts the entire encampment….
dorian laughing when coming back from his small trip, all jolly and happy, positive about him and his friends and the journey ahead. orym making a surprised but ultimately happy face when dorian arrives.
”is this goodbye?” “no this is a go get em.” BADASS.
not orym’s family members recognizing and greeting dorian immediately. holy shit. sick. unwell. yelling. screaming.
braius dragging dorian away to have a secret conversation with him about the group HAHAHA
DORIAN GETTING JEALOUS? AGAIN, WHEN BRAIUS WANTS TO FUCK ORYM???? dorian also standing up for orym “he is the best of us”…
ashton and dorian chitchatting about opal, apologizing, and just bein dudes!!!! god they’ve come a long way!
so much is going on at the end of this episode. so much. this is going to be so chaotic, and i’m here for it. but also here for dorian storm<3 and what madness he’s going to bring to the upcoming episode of meeting the mighty nein!
#critical role#dorym#dorian storm#orym of the air ashari#bells hells#c3#campaign 3#cr spoilers#dorian x orym#critical role spoilers#c3e110#god i love robbie daymond and dorian so much#he has so much chemistry with the cast#and with liam especially. they look like they have so much fun playing pining men for each other#but gods damn it i want dorym to happen soon#sweating bullets thinking about one of them dying before confessing#but also i’m just so nervous that it’ll not ever be canonized on screen (even though in my opinion they are very much canon.)#idk though i have that delusional faith in the players because BOY THEY KEEP DELIVERING!#to me their confession scene already happened a while ago when they TALKED for once like on e94 i think. it was the rain scene#still would love an actual ‘i love you’ or ‘i’m in love with you’.

obsessed with charlie vickers's commitment to the idea that sauron wanted galadriel as his assistant--as if the dark lord of mordor believed the key to ultimate dominion over middle-earth was convincing the most chaotic of elves to somehow manage his shadow empire's day-to-day operations. 'if only galadriel could handle my travel arrangements, manage my digital platforms, and keep track of my appointments, maybe then my dominion would be truly unstoppable??'
maybe charlie is right though? maybe sauron is out there building his fortress and dreaming of the day galadriel shows up to streamline his evil agenda? maybe in sauron's control freak mind organizing files and arranging documents is romantic and so these are highly intimate moments: the two of them coordinating the perfect invasion and going over supply chain logistics while he teases her about her chaotic attempts at record-keeping (because you know his records are perfect and hers are a complete disaster.)
you can almost imagine him wistfully slipping the one ring over his wedding finger and thinking that if she would just join him, manage his calendar, book his dragon flights, rent his horse drawn carts, and manage the evil fortress guest list, they could be unstoppable--just a dark lord and his assistant forever bound by middle-earth's most nefarious to-do list.
#i love charlie#even though he wants her as his queen sauron absolutely has his role-playing fantasy of galadriel as his assistant#and i for one will not kink shame my favourite shadow daddy#haladriel#saurondriel#galadriel x sauron#sauron x galadriel#a perfectionist like sauron absolutely would get off on writing a well organised to-do list with his queen#trop#the rings of power

princess concept i've been thinking about is like. let's just go all in on those options that are like "no i'm fine with the world ending." you go down to the basement and tell her that you were sent to kill her because she's going to end the world, and that's why you're going to get her out of there. the princess, momentarily shocked and wanting to protest, quickly readjusts to the idea. the narrator completely flips out and tries to take over as quickly as possible. i'm tentatively calling the chapter 2 of this the harbinger with a chapter 3 being the dawn
#slay the princess#<- sure ill tag this i like the concept perhaps other people will also like it#soft/harsh versions of this maybe#it'd be a bit of a knife neutral route#though i initially envisioned this w soft princess mostly just bc i got the idea while trying to play thru damsel as a world ending maniac#not really like the tower. i imagine she'd be kind of skittish about it. a more reluctant acceptance of her role#cabin dark and crawling and full of candles#you see her in shadows. perhaps heavily veiled. LOTS of chains holding her captive#i might write something for this i dunno#VOICE OF THE HERO PROBABLY SUFFERING BADLY THIS ROUTE ALSO. HES VERY NORMAL#as loyal as he is i can't imagine he really like. would be on board for the 'let's bring about the apocalypse!' thing#narrator also suffering badly . everyone suffering badly really#my posts

At once, Artemis sees Butler as a father figure who must acquiesce to all his whims.
Yet, it is true that :
1) Butler doesn't see Artemis as a son per se (eg B1 and B5, Butler thinks of Artemis as akin to a little brother or younger close friend - hard to see yourself in a paternal role for someone over whom you have little power)
and 2) Artemis takes up the space in Butler's life that would be occupied by a child.
Relatedly.
Can you even like. imagine. how much of a nightmare Artemis would be if Butler ever had a child
#artemis fowl#taking some of this from my reply on another post hehe#Artemis does not feel replaced or ‘threatened’ by the twins but imo I think uh. that would not be true with Butler’s children#I mean lol Artemis drags Butler with on the Mars trip and Butler is like… close to the age where if he were to want a family and children#(outside of the role he plays in Juliet and Artemis’ lives as a paternal figure)#he’d need to start persuing that goal#even though fairy magic will extend his life ofc

Chapter 105.5 Thoughts: Control, Manipulation and Partnership
Or, how Chuuya is actually the most qualified character to land a victory over Dostoevsky.
I just want to preface this with: I think Chuuya has woken from the brainwashing. We can't see his eyes, he's holding his hat again, and look at the progression of his face and expression from the last few chapters with him (these are in order btw from left to right).
I'm not completely sure how he did this, but I chalk a lot of it up to sheer stubborn determination on Chuuya's part, mostly because it's funny and he was clearly fighting back before Dazai's speech. However, I find it likely the speech did contain some kind of code - others have pointed out how "Goodbye!" might be a reference to the original author's last unfinished book and we know skk's codenames for things generally are based off their real counterparts' works so, maybe he'd already broken out of it, maybe there was something in there that gave him the final push - who knows at this point honestly? Either way, it means Chuuya had the capacity to break out of the vampire curse on his own and that's incredibly funny to me for many reasons but mostly:
Fyodor: "Bold of you to assume Chuuya's ability can't overcome flooding."
Dazai: "Bold of you to assume Chuuya's personality can't overcome brainwashing."
But really, this highlights something interesting here, both in what Chuuya's role is ultimately intended to be in this arc, and in the way Fyodor and Dazai manipulate and value others in very different ways.
I've said it before but it bears repeating: we already know that Fyodor is an excellent long-term planner, while Dazai is effectively able to counter him because Dazai shifts into thinking like his opponent. They're foil characters for a reason; they're both highly intelligent, manipulative, and willing to play the long game for the sake of winning against their opponent.
Thing is, I also stand by the idea that personality-wise, they're not similar at all - and that has serious implications for the people they are connected with. The build-up to the prison escape arc really highlights this. Some examples:
Chapter 46: Fyodor believes that all people are sinful and foolish and that his goal is to remove sin. Dazai believes that all people are sinful and foolish but asks what's so wrong with that.
Chapter 64: They decide to have a "super-happy chit-chat" about their problems. Dazai's solution to Fyodor's issue with his lazy subordinates is to get them to think lazing around is a bad thing so they will put in effort of their own. Fyodor's solution to Dazai being unable to woo the waitress is to isolate her from her job, house and family so that she can only rely on Dazai.
Chapter 77: Fyodor believes god is perfection and harmony, and thus that the people capable of change are the superior ones with most control. Dazai believes god is the accidental and illogical and believes it is the ordinary people who fight and live in that uncertainty who create the greatest change.
So, what's happening here? Fyodor's manipulation is shown to be very exacting and direct. He leaves no room for error and regards people on a hierarchy - God above all, himself as a servant of God's will, and the sinful and foolish humans he has little regard for. Dazai's manipulation involves manipulation of the situation, and is often indirect. It involves people coming to the conclusion he intends for them to on their own. And from his later dialogue with Sigma, we see he doesn't regard the world in that same kind of hierarchy.
Now, look at the way Fyodor picks an item and Dazai picks a person when starting the game. Look at the way Fyodor refers to Chuuya respectfully but brainwashes him entirely and mocks Dazai for not being worthy of "using" his ability. Look at the way Dazai is a complete ass to Chuuya but ultimately lets him make his own choices (begging people to take note of that moment in Stormbringer where Dazai cuts himself off to correct his referring to Corruption as Arahabaki's true power to Chuuya's true power).
So, the actual strength Dazai has over Dostoevsky then, is not really his strength at all, it's the strength of others and their choice and willpower to act in the way they believe is best. It's the only means of getting a leg up on Dostoevsky, otherwise they will continue to go around and around in circles forever.
And Chuuya is the best candidate for finally throwing Fyodor off his game.
Firstly, let's just establish something: no matter how mad he is at Dazai, he's not going to side with Fyodor, not willingly. Fyodor threatened the Mafia in the Cannibalism arc by attacking Mori, first of all. I doubt he's forgiven him for that. Secondly, Fyodor embodies everything Chuuya can't stand about Dazai, at the very least, younger Dazai - the manipulation, the lack of consideration and connection with others, the callousness and lack of regard for life.
Well, perhaps he's not quite as irritating. +1 point for Dostoevsky I guess?
But lastly, it is more advantageous for Chuuya at this point to help fight against Fyodor, especially since most of the Mafia has been vampirized by his organization. Helping the Agency stop the terrorist plot will help the Mafia by extension by undoing that. And we know from Stormbringer that no matter how much Chuuya is personally hurt, he considers taking out the threat to his people a higher priority. Always.
(You could make the argument that he was told whatever Teruko told Atsushi and decided to join, but not only do I find this wildly out of character, but if that was the case then there would've been no reason to brainwash him.)
That said, I don't think this was preemptive "Dazai's master plan #3057", and in fact, I stand by the idea that Dazai had no idea Chuuya was going to be in the prison. It is very, very important to me that for the rest of this arc, no matter what Chuuya does, that his actions are his own. Not Fyodor's, not Dazai's, but his. And not just because I hate that he's being controlled right now and that freedom of choice has always been important for Chuuya.
But because it makes narrative sense.
The vampires are a bit silly, yes, but they represent the way Fyodor and Fukuchi think - humanity will commit atrocities. They cannot be trusted to make their own decisions. They want to make a world that is free by... mind-controlling people so their plans work without a hitch. In short, they choose, on behalf of others, to sacrifice human autonomy for peace. So, if we are going to turn this arc around, we need to have characters breaking out of that control and thinking for themselves, in spite of the uncertainty of the outcome.
We already see this with Atsushi in the last chapter! He finally takes initiative and makes that choice to leave the room when he doesn't exactly know what the right thing to do is. And this is also why I don't think Teruko is wholly convinced by the DoA either - she lets him go. She gives him the freedom to choose what he does with that information.
Another one of the focus characters here is Sigma. Sigma is a guy who has no past, whose humanity is questioned, who keeps being used by organizations for his valuable ability, who has no home but desperately wants one... oh wait. Remind you of anyone's younger self? This could go one of two ways: Chuuya fails to assert his autonomy, leaving Sigma to learn from that failure, or, Chuuya succeeds in asserting his autonomy, leaving Sigma to learn from his success.
I think it, by necessity, has to be the latter. Sigma's at a tipping point right now, and I think seeing someone try to assert their freedom only to fail would damage him greatly. And I think it's a waste of Chuuya's character honestly.
Chuuya needs to assert his autonomy in this arc. Not just for thematic reasons but because I can think of no one else who can effectively break the "super-genius stalemate".
I keep hearing "Dazai knows Chuuya" in response to Fyodor calling their bond shallow, and that is absolutely true! But Chuuya also knows Dazai. Incredibly well. Odasaku knew Dazai's soul, but Chuuya knows Dazai's mind, knows his strategies and ways of thinking without even needing words. What's more, Chuuya has thrown off Dazai before and done what he didn't expect him to.
Which is nifty, because Dazai and Fyodor think a lot alike. Chuuya is in a unique position to thwart Dostoevsky because he may actually be able to predict him to a degree. Chuuya can absolutely land a victory against him, and it's excellent because it would be completely unexpected to Fyodor, who apparently thinks Chuuya's strength lies only in what his ability has to offer and not much else.
But listen. This also can't be skk's plan. I need Chuuya to sideline both of them. Both for the sweet, sweet catharsis of putting those two idiot geniuses in their places and also because I need Dazai to have screwed up. He wasn't wrong about people making their own choices in uncertainty. People need to assert their autonomy to create change. Dazai can't be wrong in this regard.
But with going ahead with the trap to drown Fyodor despite also having to drown Chuuya when he promised not to let him get killed... this needs to have been a mistake, otherwise the value of Dazai's emotional speech to him is diminished.
I want Dazai to try to laugh it off. I want him to say he always knew Chuuya would escape and then for Chuuya to deck him because "no, the fuck you didn't".
I really think Dazai hoped Chuuya would make it. Do remember that Chuuya was one of the first reasons young Dazai decided to try giving life a chance. The fact that he flashbacked to all his key memories with Chuuya says a lot. But his survival was no guarantee and it seemed very unlikely.
So, Chuuya is faced with the fact that Dazai nearly sacrificed him to kill Dostoevsky and save his new Agency friends.
And I hope he finally gets mad. I hope he finally expresses hurt on his own behalf for once. I hope they are forced to break their status quo that they have carefully maintained by not talking about anything ever. I hope they are pushed to uncomfortable places and that it is Chuuya who finally spurs this development.
Let Chuuya break the stalemate between Dazai and Dostoevsky. Let him shatter the status quo that him and Dazai have kept going for year after year.
Autonomous action in the face of uncertainty is necessary for change.
#am i assigning too much narrative importance in the main manga to chuuya? perhaps#will i stop? no#unfortunately this meta doesn't include gogol which is an oversight because he absolutely has to play a role as well#i'm just not quite sure what yet. same as chuuya i suppose#either gogol asserts his autonomy or he... fails. yeah. either he gets dostoevsky killed or... he fails.#i just don't know where he fits in with everyone else is the thing#listen though. it is significant that gogol decided not to play his dying role in the doa's plan though.#gogol is the free spirit of the doa and yet he's closer to sigma and bram in terms of how he is more controlled than controller#anyways sorry this is so long. just my two cents on the matter#bsd#bsd spoilers#bsd chapter 105.5#bsd chuuya#bsd fyodor#bsd dazai#bsd sigma#bsd meta#i don't even know if this makes sense anymore. here.#storyrambles

The Moon Presence holds a special place in my heart in terms of souls games final bosses because of the sheer what the fuckness of it all. All of the other final bosses have some kind of build up; Dark Souls can't go one minute without mentioning Gwyn, Nashandra and Aldia are major figures in Ds2's lore, the Soul of Cinder, while never directly alluded to is another example of the converging of time and space in 3, Isshin plays a large part in Sekiro's story, and Radagon is a major lore character with Elden Beast being pretty easy to clock as a manifestation of the Greater Will.
Flora, the Moon Presence, though? She comes out of nowhere. There are maybe two lines alluding to her existence at all, those being the workshop umbilical cord and the lecture hall note. The closest you otherwise get is the references to the terrible hunter's dream, which doesn't immediately conjure the idea of her to mind.
Even better we don't even know what she really wants. Oh sure, there are plenty of theories and inferences we can make. Maybe she uses Hunters like hitmen to prevent infant great ones from threatening her, maybe she's keeping a natural order running, maybe she wants to spread the beast plague, maybe she wants to prevent mankind's evolution, maybe she just plain loves violence. In the end though, its all still maybes. Girly walks on in and her mere existence changes so much about the story, yet she refuses to elaborate on anything.
Another very interesting aspect is, and this is probably a somewhat baseless observation, we don't really know what she is. Everywhere else in the game, Great Ones have some line of text associating them with that status. Oedon, Baby Mergo, Kos, Amygdala, The Brain of Mensis, Ebrietas. All of them have text somewhere that directly refers to them with that moniker, but Flora? Nowhere will you find something calling her a great one. Hell, in the Japanese translation, she is called "Moon Demon." It is probably safe and the intended inference that she is a great one, but the thought she might not be does tickle me nonetheless.
Then there is her role in the story. The Great Ones are said to be sympathetic in spirit, and there definitely is a part of her that echoes that sentiment. The way she cradles the hunter is like that of a mother holding a child, yet she seems to be a lot more manipulative than the Great Ones we see in game. They typically cause suffering not by tricking or making deals, but by being unaware of how they affect the world with their actions. Getting picked up by Amygdalae seems like a curious child picking up a lizard, unaware that they are hurting it. Flora though, there does seem to be a certain level of maliciousness beyond accidental. Gehrman's pain and suffering is clear to see, yet she keeps him chained to the dream because of whatever bargain he made (presumably animating the Doll). She does the same to the hunter should you forgo the umbilical cords. She also doesn't seem to want a surrogate like other Great Ones, maybe settling for keeping humans as pets rather than having an actual child.
She really is one of the best Fromsoft final bosses because of the sheer strangeness and the wrench her presence throws into the game's story. We can get a concept of most of Bloodborne's story with a bit of interpretation and reading between the lines, but she will forever be an enigma. For what purpose did Laurence and Gehrman summon her? Why is she seemingly not worshiped unlike other Great Ones? Does she desire a surrogate or are humans pets good enough? We may never know, and that is wonderful.
Stay enigmatic queen, live your freak life
#I may have missed something regarding her which if so please tell me#the lore is vague enough to make it incredibly easy to gloss over pertinent info#Even if given the chance to know more about her I don't think I would take it though#She is a perfect cosmic mystery#I do enjoy the almost devil kind of role she plays with Gehrman#a dealmaker that let's you create your own hell#He may have summoned her out of grief for Maria#but now he can never escape her visage#bloodborne#soulsborne#dark souls#elden ring#the moon presence#flora bloodborne

"Louis acting like a pimp to Armand" And what is a pimp exactly? Quickly. And, oh so sexual trauma survivors can't engage in kink now without it being all about that? Pet names? They can't be submissive anymore? Consensually? Sexually healthy? Be serious. I'd hardly say there's much power difference between them during all this anyway, except that Louis is freer than Armand and it's been putting a strain on their relationship. Louis wants more from Armand, and less of this 'being his past' for them both, and so helping Armand with this could fix that. It's healthy to want to help your partners get out of a rough patch?
I mean, the whole exchange was very clearly set up as a "I want to help you" after such a great moment of vulnerability Louis feels just how much Armand is desperate for it. Louis called Armand so they could work out a plan together.
And the bit with the umbrella was Louis' way of asking 'are you willing to listen to me?' and Armand said yes by unfolding it. Louis goes on and explains, Armand is allowed to argue against it, but Louis makes his point. And then he gives Armand a way to make his own choice in it too. Armand's already decided 'I want you, more than anything else in the world', but Louis still asks after if he's sure of his choice, and with a name, Arun, that is the one of his fullest agency, running the point home. Honoring the situation Armand calls Louis Maitre - as a way of being like 'I'll do as you've said then'. To make this work he's going to have to give Louis some of the control, yes. But it's the first time such a role is ever established, and it was his choice to do it. So so what if they do it in a very suggestive way? They can't like doing that? I think it's them having fun.
I struggle to find how Louis is being overly domineering here when really he's giving and offering Armand the most agency he's ever had. Same with finding it manipulative. The manipulation was more earlier in the episode I think, when he was stringing him along, giving mixed signals. He's no longer toying with him like that. Louis might be pushing Armand, leading him on to make a decision, but he doesn't mean bad by it.
But back to this pimp thing. I find it frankly offensive that this is where people are going with this. I get it, but to run with it being the case is, on many levels, wrong.
Louis told us episode 1 this was the only sustainable line of work to support his family and keep their standing, at the time. It was never his choice to be doing this either but his blackness allowed no other options. He did what he did so his family could stay in that house and maintain all their same comforts. It gave him privileges most black men didn't have at the time that he wanted to maintain and even have more of. Anyway, it doesn't and had never defined him the way 'being good at running things' had. And in that case he just likes having that kind of control where he can get it, which makes sense.
The world is what placed that kind of role onto him of what he was allowed to be able to run, not himself. And on that he actually treated the sex workers he employed well and respected them enough to give them more opportunity.** He recognizes they don't have much in the way of options either.
Louis employed sex workers, yes, but he didn't subject them to abuse, (like how Armand was)*. He didn't oversee things in a way that would go against their consent (see; episode 1 again)**. Sometimes a job is just a job. And Sex work is work.
Armand's particular past with sexual abuses may strike a particular cord with Louis, given all that, but the very last thing either is thinking is that Louis' pimping Armand out here. This is merely their decision as companions, and had nothing to do with adding another line in a laundry list of selling Armands body out to people at the command of someone else. Armand rescinds some of his control to Louis' wishes, because he wants him, and he trusts him, that's all.
If you aren't allowing Armand that choice, and are doubtful it's fully his, you're putting him right back in the box of being defined by his abuses. Putting him back into that space where he isn't given any agency over what he does. (Which is exactly opposite of what the intent of this scene is for)*.
*: (edit) added for clarity.
**: (strike through) numerous people are saying I'm misremembering these points so disregard it. (Thought he was siding with Bricks, it was the other way around). (Technically one aspect of those opportunities were for getting around the law). I don't have a perfect memory, it happens. Let's not get mad about it. Doesn't change much of the point which is that Louis, now, Louis then, was always considering more about the running things and for stated purposes. So I guess I'd say he may only have respected the SWers enough sometimes for what allowed him to do that, and there are moments he certainly expressed remorse over the fact, but he has a great deal higher respect for Armand that is genuine. It's incomparable. Please read my added notes in the tags, it should address most other concerns.

Inquisitor: "Is there any way Solas can be reasoned with?"
Me after Solas has killed Varric, used blood magic on me, trapped me in the fade, created the blight, made the titans tranquil/fucked with the dwarves, started the chain of events that led to Southern Thedas being destroyed, and stealing all my good gear from Inquisition:

if dean (tommen's actor) could play a lannister character with very little screentime that got killed off, and then re-cast as tommen who would end up being the literal KING of the seven kingdoms, then maybe, just, MAYBE we could get davos and aeron's actors back in bigger roles...
#edit: i have been reminded that the lannister character he played is actually lancel's brother and he's related to tommen so like WOW#i think we have our benjicot blackwood AHEM#just kidding but let me be delusional#seriously though they did so well with such little screentime and they have so much potential and fit fantasy roles so perfectly#davos blackwood#aeron bracken#benjicot blackwood#house of the dragon#hotd#game of thrones#davron
