love the idea of transhet laios
#random thoughts#dungeon meshi#chilchuck watches in horror as laios slowly animorphs into his second wife#'he didn't have a second wife?' not yet babeyyy#i am neutral verging on negative on trans chilchuck (negative being mainly because i see it everywhere)#i don't like it when people take the male character who looks the youngest and make him trans like 'well duh'#so he's cis to meee. and bisexual but quiet about it in the same way he's quiet about literally everything else about him#he knows what being trans is because one of his daughters is trans :] flertom#the way she treated her transition was throwing herself headfirst into gender roles like wanting to get married and worrying about her look#which laios definitely won't do (she was horrified when she saw how she would have stayed in the village and had a family in the au viewer)#but it'd be interesting to see chilchuck try to be supportive by encouraging her to try traditionally feminine things#which laios wouldn't be very interested in and probably wouldn't be able to connect the dots on her own that he's trying to be supportive#so she'd just be like. questioning why chilchuck keeps getting her weird gifts#pink and frilly and aaaaaaa#probably use some of the gifts for weird things. uses a sewing kit for taxidermy.#appreciates the new baking supplies probably#he gets her a journal which she genuinely uses#chilchuck seeing how she reacts to his gifts and knowing she doesn't get what he's doing but he's not gonna open up about it#so here have some more stuff until you get the point#btw this is unrelated but does anyone else think it's weird it's marcille who was able to put herself into the shoes of chilchuck's wife?#like she literally viewed him as a child for the longest time but now she's miss empathy???#honestly i think it'd've made more sense if laios did it? like how he put together the cannibalism thing#like i know he's not good with social cues but it could have been a chance to demonstrate how well he knows chilchuck#laios in another life would be the world's greatest detective

SAVIOR - LN4
pt.2
Tumblr media
summary : Y/n’s favorite place has quickly become her and Lando’s shared hallway. They grow closer and finally make it to the fresh air.
OG SUMMARY (When y/n’s absent neighbor shows up, causing her great annoyance with smoke and repetitive beeping, she marches over to tell the man off but is met with a handsome face and strong hands that are in distress.)
listen up : no warnings!! y/n is clueless abt f1. lando is silly. i’m craving strawberries now.
word count : 1878
⋆。‧˚⋆
I haul my five grocery bags into the elevator, struggling to keep them all off the ground. I sigh when I finally still in the metal box, i’ve carried these at least two blocks and one had broken on the way.
The doors are about to close but a hand slides in between them, making them automatically open for him.
Hello my hot mysterious neighbor.
He looks relieved he made it, “Y/n!” He says cheerfully, like we’ve known each other for ages. It’s been a couple weeks since I slammed on his door and stomped through his kitchen.
The other side of the hallway had been quiet until last night when I heard keys rattling and the door opening. I can’t help but wonder what he does that keeps him from home so often.
“Lando, Hi!” I smile back as he slides beside me and presses our floor.
“You need help?” He eyes the bags as I bite my lip, not wanting to bother him. I don’t have the time to respond because he takes three bags out of my hands like it’s nothing.
“Thank you.” I sigh, “I’ve been struggling for like two blocks.” He laughs a bit with me as the numbers get higher and higher.
“I’m happy to help.” We finally reach our floor, Lando watches me go first and walk to my door, unlocking it and walking in.
Lando follows hesitantly, like he doesn’t know if he’s allowed.
“Thank you again! I put myself in a bit of a bind when I decided that my friends need fifteen types of salami and cheese.” I place the bags on the counter, Lando following.
I push back my hair and suddenly wish I had cleaned up a bit more. My friends are coming over tonight and I had decided to push back my cleaning. Looking around at the clothes and old popcorn bowls scattered around makes me want to slap myself.
“Really, I like to lend a hand! I never get to be neighborly.” He shrugs.
“What do you do for work? If you don’t mind me asking?” I start placing the cold items in the freezer.
He leans against the counter, his arms holding him up and looking alarmingly fit, “Uh… You ever follow Formula 1?”
I nod, “Kinda? I used to love it!” My mom and I would watch every sunday but I stopped in college so I don’t know any of the current grid, “So you work in the sport! That’s cool, pretty hands on?” I ask as he laughs a bit, looking awkward.
“Yeah, I work with the cars.” He looks around my place a bit, “So, why does one need this much food? I’m judging or anything it’s just… You don’t seem like the type to need a jumbo sized pretzel bag.”
I smile and snatch the bag from him, “I could definitely eat all of this by the way! But I'm having a bit of a party tonight. If anything’s too loud just let me know! It’s just old friends from college- actually.” I look up at him, a boost of confidence appearing in me, “You could join us. If you’re not busy.”
It suddenly sounds like a ridiculously stupid idea. I turn back to the fridge, placing a bottle of lemonade in it and cringing.
“I would love to.” I let out a sigh of relief, “But I've got plans…” I frown and turn back to him, finally putting away the last of my groceries.
“Aw.”
“It’s really nice of you to invite me.” I smile, a bit sad and confused why I'm disappointed. I mean I barely know the man. “What do you do for work?”
I lean against the counter so I'm across from him, “I’m a writer. Journalism right now but I really want to take a more bookish route…”
He genuinely looks so intrigued, more interested than anyone else who I've told I write articles about neighborhood drama.
He checks his watch, which I'm now realizing is incredibly expensive, and swears, “I gotta go. Have fun with your party tonight.”
⋆。‧˚⋆
I definitely do have fun. My friends and I eat, drink, and play board games just like we’re back in dorms. I’m seeing my last and closest friend off when Lando comes up the hallway, As my friend's eyes go wide when she sees him, I shake my head.
“Goodbye!” I push her out of my apartment, “Love you!”
“Yeah love you too! Text me!” She walks past Lando, nodding at him before she turns behind his back and mouths ‘he’s hot’.
I roll my eyes at her, a smile still on my face as Lando looks at me. He’s in a full suit, holding his blazer in his hand.
“Fun time then?” God he’s hot!
“Absolutely!” I giggle, a bit tipsy, “How about you then?” I eye his suit.
“As good as I could make it.”
I slap my hand over my mouth, “God you aren’t coming from a funeral then, are you?”
He laughs at this, “No! No. A work banquet thing.”
I giggle a bit as he turns to his door, “Hey!” I say without thinking, “Would you want to come in? I have wine.”
He’s sitting on my couch thirty minutes later, a glass deep and talking about where he’s traveled too.
“That’s my dream!” I say, my feet tucked under myself as I tilt my head on the couch cushions, “Traveling. I mean- You’ve been everywhere!”
He shrugs, sipping his wine, his tie undone and shoes off, “It’s amazing but I'm not there for long so I don’t usually get to sightsee much. Honestly the most interesting thing that’s happened to me recently is this pretty girl came to save my baking disaster.”
I hum to his words, blushing a bit, “Sounds like a hero if i’ve ever heard one.” We both go silent, taking pieces of my leftover charcuterie board. “Should I start watching F1?”
“No!” He says it so quick that i’m taken aback.
“No?”
He laughs a bit, shaking it off, “It’s boring. I can’t have someone else in my life talk about it.”
I spin my wine around in the glass, “So I'm someone in your life now?”
He smirks, “We’re friends, aren’t we?”
I pretend to contemplate this, “I’ve never had a friend who hasn’t gone to the strawberry market with me.”
He makes an odd face, “So we must go then.”
I sigh, “If you want to be my friend…”
The corner of his mouth pulls, “Tomorrow at 9?”
⋆。‧˚⋆
He’s at my door at 9:12. Thank god he’s late because I hop over to the door, pulling on my shoe and pulling down my jean skirt.
I open the door and stand up straight, smiling breathlessly. He, of course, looks perfect in jeans and an olive green shirt, “Morning.”
“Ready to taste the best strawberries you’ve ever had?” I grab my bag and keys.
“So ready.”
We make it to the market just on time. It’s my favorite neighborhood gem. Every Sunday people gather with strawberries. There are big and small, some covered in chocolate and some in honey.
I buy a box of chocolate ones, well Lando does. He insists that he still owes me. Handing one to Lando with an extra fork, he bites into it, his eyes roll, “Fucking hell.” I nod, excited that he likes them as much as I do.
“My favorite treat! Something you can’t burn your house down with.” I eye him and he eyes me right back. Being with Lando is like a breath of fresh air. I’ve never been so confident in my social skills.
He laughs with a shop owner as he buys his pack of plain strawberries. He's so nice and just listens politely as the woman goes on and on about her childhood on a strawberry farm.
He gives her a bigger bill than necessary and as she insists it’s too much, he just shakes his head and continues walking.
We settle at a park bench nearby, tasting all the pieces we’ve bought, “This is genuinely phenomenal.” He says while eating another, “How’d you find this place?”
“Had to write about something local and had total writers block… I was walking around one day and just sort of stumbled upon it.”
He smiles, I really like this smile. “You seem like the type to just stumble upon a strawberry market.”
I laugh, covering my mouth, “What does that even mean?”
“You’re just so…” His hands make these weird gestures, his fingers moving around as he laughs and gives up, “It just fits.”
I smile, meeting his eyes. They're so nice, a mix of blue and green. His gaze washes over me and I feel the need to smile even more.
“You’ve got nice eyes.” My stomach twists as he says it so calmly, “Real pretty.” I feel a blush on my cheeks and I turn away from him, looking at the park near us and being startled by the child looking up at us.
Lando follows my gaze, mumbling softly, “Shit.”
“Hi.” The kid says awestruck, I look to Lando who’s smiling and sitting up straighter. “Um- Are you Lando Norris?”
Lando scratches the back of his neck, “Yeah I am! What's your name?”
“W-William!” He says, swallowing and pulling a pen from behind his back, “Could you sign this?” I glance to what looks like his mother, she’s watching him with a smile.
Lando simply nods and takes the cap from his head, its bright orange. He signs his name and messes up the kid's hair, “Thanks a lot! My friends’ll never believe it!” The boy squeals and runs back to his mom who waves slightly and takes the boy's hand.
I raise a brow at Lando, still confused, “I’m sorry…” He looks embarrassed but I don’t even know what for.
“I’m going to assume you didn’t tell me the whole truth in what your job is?”
His cheeks get a bit red, “I do work with the cars… Just really close. Like I’m in them. One specifically.”
I nod, “Yours?”
“Mine.” He crosses his arms, his lips in a thin line, “I drive for McLaren.” I breathe out.
“Oh.” I can’t help but think I have a type because I grew up with Jenson Button posters on my wall.
He runs a hand through his curls, “I don’t usually get recognized around here- Thought we would be okay.”
“We are okay!” I reassure him, realizing he’s actually embarrassed, “That was sweet.”
He looks up hopefully, “You think? I’m sorry for lying- I just really liked that you didn’t know who I am or what I do.”
“Well, I sort of still don't. I know your full name now, that’s about it.” He smiles at this, I bite into another strawberry.
“Do you want to go out with me?”
He is yet to say something I'm not shocked at.
“Yeah.” I nod, smiling at him as he grins, “I’d really like that. Don’t you have to race soon though…? Singapore, isn’t it?”
The smirk that pulls at his lips is just plain mischievous, “I never said the date would be here.”

Steve has a secret, well “secret” may not be the correct way to describe it. He has something for himself, thats what. Ever since he stopped playing basketball and doing swim competitions once he graduated he's had way more free time, which at first he filled with shifts at Family Video, or bothering Robin.
Then, when she started school he started doing art more. Which, may come a surprise to many, as he never really talked about his interest in paintings and old art.
Greek sculptures that are able to show life in a still ethereal way, while still being able to twist it at their will. Renaissance oil paintings, capturing tragedy yet still being able to portray it as beautiful, in their own terrible twisted ways.
He likes sketching on paper, painting on canvas. His paintings aren't usually too different from the things he sees around him. Honestly thats the only things he paints, people, his friends, places he goes, things he sees that stick with him, dreams, moments that play on repeat in his head.
Around his Junior year, after the Demogorgon, Steve had turned the sad basement in his sad empty house, into his own space. A place where he can go and do his art, hang it, play music on his walkman, or using the record player he got from a pawn shop a few months prior. Somehow the basement is the only space that actually feels like his in his house, not even his bedroom.
Steve’s art was not very consistent to be honest, mostly the kids and Robin, landscapes that he liked, the Demogorgon/dogs, the Mindflayer (he needs some way of getting those out of his head, and somehow drawing them down feels freeing.) He does have a few paintings of Nancy from when they were together, she’s become less of a model for his work after everything though.
The last time he painted her in a painting alone, was one of that bathroom in a girl he barely knows’ house, a spilled drink on Nancy’s dress, and red solo cups littering the counter.
Steve’s art shifts though, after a moment that will never leave his mind. He knows who Eddie Munson is, obviously. How could he not? Honestly Steve isn't that surprised Henderson and the others befriended the guy, he does run a DnD club.
But then, Henderson needs a ride home after their club meetings because his mom is working late, and then Lucas and Mike’s parents are also asking Steve to pick them up too. Babysitting duty, as per usual.
Steve arrives a bit earlier than he planned. He didn't have any project to consume himself into, hitting an art block begrudgingly. But then, Steve sees Eddie Munson, sitting on a fake throne, watching the kids and other club members argue, he has his chin rested on his fist, and he's wearing a white tank top, showing off his shoulders, given the fact it’s still September.
The lighting of the small theater room captures Steve’s interest like a moth to the flame, and he is regretting having left his sketchbook at home, even though he never draws around the kids or anyone he knows.
Eddie Munson’s face and curly locks fill up the pages of Steve’s journal and some canvases for months after, and Steve rarely genuinely complains about coming to pick the kids up.
Afterwords, months later from that day. Chrissy Cunningham dies, and Eddie Munson almost goes with her. God, or whatever deity that was looking down upon him, was on Steve’s side in that moment, when he was able to revive Eddie and then drag him out of the Upside Down.
Steve gets closer with Eddie after that, they become actual friends. Steve was so used to witnessing his muse from afar, it was so…exciting, to see Eddie in all his glory, just a few feet away, and his smile being directed at him.
“Do you even have any hobbies, Harrington?” Steve blinks. Him, Eddie, Robin, Nancy, and the party, are all hanging out by the pool. Steve is lounging on one of the chairs, sunglasses over his eyes as Eddie talks beside him.
“What?” Steve responds.
“I mean…I like barely ever see you do anything besides sort Movies at Family Video, or boss around the kids. Like, what do you do when we're not all together?” Eddie asks, moving his hand a little as he talks. Steve thinks for a moment.
“Funny,” Steve answers instead. Eddie scoffs.
“I'm being serious, man! What do you do?” Eddie laughs a little, most likely at the ridiculousness of it all. What would Steve know, Eddie is like a puzzle, and Steve has to take every minute slowly, deciphering everything he lays out for him, via tongue or action.
“I don't know, what do you do?” Steve says, almost carefully.
“Band stuff, DnD, Writing,” Eddie lists. “And I guess saving the world now, but thats a bit of a side hussle.” Steve scoffs.
“Whatever, man.” And thats that, they don't talk about it again. But it sticks with Steve, because his friends really do think he doesn't do anything with his life. It's not like he has college classes to study for, so what does he do?
Later, maybe two or three weeks after, Steve decides he wants to show Eddie his space. The two of them are alone, Robin is in Nevada, visiting her grandparents, so the trio’s usual movie night is cut down to a duo’s movie night.
Although Steve finds himself mostly focusing on Eddie and his beautiful hair sitting next to him, than watching ET. The little alien scares him a bit anyway. Eddie notices him staring though, his eyes flickering to meet Steves, then a smirk spreading across his lips.
“We are watching a movie, lover boy.” Eddie says. Steve goes red, his gaze shifting to his lap. Steve furrows his eyebrows then stands and shuts the TV off. “Woah! Hey!”
“I want to show you something.” Steve says, it's a bit quieter than he meant it to be, but his tone indicates something to Eddie, which has him staring at Steve, starstruck.
Steve walks out the room and hears Eddie follow him. He gets to the basement door and opens it, flicks on the stair light.
“Basement- woah- okay, guess I'm getting murdered. Thought I’d go out in a more metal way than this.” Eddie says as they walk down. Steve laughs a little and shakes his head.
“I just think you should see this.” Steve says. “Nothing life threatening, I promise.”
“Alright, I trust you, Stevie.”
“Good.”
Steve turns and flicks on the light as they step onto the concrete. The lights flicker on, revealing the paintings on the walls and art supplies on the tables and counters.
“Woah-” Eddie says. “Is this, all your stuff?” Steve sighs, he folds his arms and faces Eddie. He looks shellshocked.
“Yeah.” Steve says. “You said I don't have any hobbies, I do, actually.” Eddie looks around, walking slowly.
“Is that Henderson? Why is he wearing yellow gloves?” Eddie asks. Steve walks over to a painting of Dustin from Steve’s angle while they were walking on the train tracks, a bucket of raw meat is in one hand and he's wearing the headphones for his radio.
“D’Art,” Steve says. “That was when we were leading him away. I made that one after everything happened. I was trying not to think about the Demogorgon stuff and everything, so I just drew him. I have one of Max from that day I never finished painting in a stack I think too.” Eddie doesn't say anything for a minute after Steve is done explaining.
“You can paint.” Eddie says, though not like a question. “These are beautiful…” Eddie looks around and walks to another one he sees. It's one of the Byers and Hopper’s, all hugging while laughing. El looks the happiest. Steve had painted that after they had all gotten together after everything. “Why…didn't you tell anyone?”
“About what?” Steve asks, folding his arms as Eddie brings up a hand to touch the painting.
“This- Steve, you're amazing at this. These are…” Eddie trails off as something catches his eye, he slowly starts to walk towards a big painting propped up behind one of the tables laid out in the middle of the room. Steve walks to him to see which one he's looking at.
An angel, knelt over a puddle, crying as it stares at his reflection, which is blurred and dark. He stands in a forest, his wings are long and huge, sprawling out above him.
It’s one of Steve’s bigger ones, the inspiration came from a dream he had after they had read about Icarus in his english class back in Highschool.
“It’s… magnificent.” Eddie whispers. Steve smiles gently at Eddie’s reaction. Eddie backs up a bit and looks away from the painting. “Is that me?” Steve follows his eye, to the painting. Eddie walks towards it, Steve stays behind him. It’s the first one Steve ever made of Eddie, the one of him on the throne.
“Yeah, it is.” Steve says. “I made that the first night I came to pick up the kids.” He says. “The first time I met you, actually met you.” They share a look.
“You are incredible, Steve Harrington.”

It's incredible how much everything changes when you rewatch p1, after seeing the whole thing at least twice. Especially episodes 1-2. The context of Colin's feelings, his confounding feelings, makes everything even better.
Because imagine this: he's on the tour of the continent, living the life, only no one responds to his letter or seems interested in his whereabouts. And if it were only the family? He'd probably be fine. Salty, but fine. Except it's Pen, his dearest friend who doesn't respond to his letter. Not once.
So, Colin spirals, decides to change his personality, become the man he thinks society expects him to be, starts documenting things in his journal where usually he'd write about them to Pen. Perhaps with time he stops writing letters to her completely, but he still misses her so much.
He comes back, a changed man, everyone's attention on him and his newly acquired swagger. Debutantes swoon over him and his new look. It's everything he wanted, except... Pen gives him the cold shoulder. Twice. Doesn't seem at all interested in his new persona. The flirting, which he has tried out on many unimportant women in the Ton doesn't work on the one woman who actually matters. He's confused and lost.
Once he realises what he has done to garner Penelope's anger, he instantly makes amends. Sheds the newly acquired armour to tell her just how much she means to him. Or at least as much as he's allowing himself to notice by that point. The confusion is still there, and it gets worse after the handshake because you cannot tell me he didn't feel a spark right then? He definitely did. And it was bewildering.
But, still, being the oblivious man he is, Colin pushes on with the mad and spontaneous plan to help Pen find a husband. Mostly because it gives him a chance to spend time with her. And suddenly this is all he wants to do. The only thing that provides genuine joy. Only in those brief moments with her he can be himself. He can be accepted.
And episode 2 showcases all of that perfectly. It shows Colin in a permanent state of confusion because not only are those moments with Penelope the only times he feels like his old self, but also now there's more. The constant desire to be alone with her, to trample over any left rules of propriety to steal just a moment of her attention. To help her because this is the only thing he's good at. To be useful. Then jealousy begins to brew because he has to watch Pen be her charming self with men that are not him. Slowly he begins to realise that perhaps he wants more than to be her friend. That perhaps she's never been just a friend.
By the time Pen asks for that kiss, Colin is terrified because he wants to kiss her. He wants to kiss her while knowing that it will mean something. It will mean something to him. Because Pen is home. Pen is everything he was looking for. And now that he has realised it there is no chance he can forget. The kiss only signs off that which was inevitable.

Just like how botw had small details telling us the probable ‘canonical’ route Link took (aka Zora, Rito, Goron, and then Gerudo), totk has something similar. I’m sure all players noticed that the newspapers will feature one region that is meant to direct Link to go aid the people there. First is Rito, next is Goron, third is Zora, and last is Gerudo. BUT! They also added something else.
Zelda’s role in the story. Namely, her interactions with Tulin, Yunobo, King Dorephan, and Riju. Annnnnnddd Link’s reactions to her!
Tulin’s interaction with her is one meant to confuse players: Zelda was in the past, but Tulin saw her? So she’s here in the present and we’re chasing after her. Sounds a lot like Skyward Sword, okay (which was released on the switch last year, so anyone who didn’t play it back in 2012 had another chance to). It confuses Link, but spurs him to become a journalist ? Cool, I’m here for it. I did journalism for 4 years, I’m sure Link can do it too!
Then, for Yunobo, he actively speaks to Zelda, we see her figure, and Link will actively gasp whenever we see her. He has a genuine reaction to her presence, because he’s surprised, but then we see pink gloom glow in the mask that Zelda have Yunobo and it makes him freak out land turn against Link. That’s when we start to put together that maybe Zelda is being controlled? Or she’s NOT Zelda, just as Yunobo begins to theorize but can’t quite wrap his head around it.
Next, we have King Dorephan who is actually attacked by Zelda and is injured to the point that he decides to hide from his people as to not create more chaos in this time. He chooses to give Zelda the benefit of the doubt here— he could have easily had his people turn against Hyrule and all Hylians because of Zelda’s actions. But he doesn’t! Because it simply doesn’t make sense. And by the end of the quest, Sidon comes to the conclusion that the Zelda in the past and the Zelda in the present are NOT the same.
And we see that thought truly stick with Link in a cutscene in Gerudo. After defending Kara Kara Bazaar, Zelda appears and Riju calls out for her. There is no gasp from Link like with Yunobo’s story, instead he watches Zelda with a slightly narrowed gaze and does not stop watching where she was last seen until Riju directly addresses him. They actively show the players that Link is suspicious, but he is still so very dedicated.
And it happens again, in the center of the light triangle. Zelda appears and Link begins to walk toward her, but there is no intake of breath, no shock at seeing her… instead he slowly walks until Riju calls out for him.
After Link finishes each phenomenon, going to Lookout Landing gives the players a clue in how Link is reacting. Specifically, if you speak to Buliara before going to see Purah, she says something along the lines of “Purah is up on the top deck, but don’t miss a wrung in your haste to get up there.”
Link is expected to rush. Because everyone is muttering about a figure that MIGHT be Zelda. At the castle. Right. Then. And. There.
Link GASPS when he first looks into the scope— Purah doesn’t even say it’s Zelda, not before Link sees for himself. It’s seeing her, clear as day, and even if Link KNOWS it’s not her… there’s still that seed of doubt that lives in his mind. And then at the castle, Link does twist and turn whenever he hears Zelda. He rushes after her every. Single. Time. She disappears. Despite that he knows it isn’t her, he can’t give up. He can’t. It’s quite literally not in his DNA. He sees it through; he needs to make sure it isn’t her. And it’s all a trap, one he walks right into, because he just HAS to see that it isn’t her.
And if you want to say “but Ash… this is just a recap of the storyline in the present.. not small details” let us just remember that Link’s driving motivation in this game is to find Zelda and bring her home. So many people just ignore these little moments or miss them completely.
And I’ll be damned if I don’t talk about link’s gasps or his twists and turns or his micro expressions that tell us so much about how he is feeling.

Something about Billy Batson being a reporter has sometimes rubbed me the wrong way, especially with all the comparisons to Superman and Captain Marvel.
Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s hilarious to have this small ass child walk into littéral war zones, report it live, come out completely unscathed and have everyone wonder what the fuck is wrong with this kid.
I do like it better when he’s a radio host, and I like to think he takes over when he’s an adult after Mr Morris retires. But I have a better suggestion.
Billy Batson should run an animal conservatory. Be it as an adult or maybe as a child (and uses Dudley’s as a cover for any adult legitimacy).
I think this is the best possible job for him for three reasons:
1) Being a radio host/ reporter or anything in that industry requires a lot of time management, and which Billy’s Champion duties, where he can find himself in time shenanigans, I don’t think it’s the best fit for him. I do think FREDDY should take over Whiz Radio after Mr Morris retires. Have the Newsboys association pair up with Whiz, and let Freddy “Natural Born Leader With A Knack For Journalism” Freeman be somewhere he could actually thrive.
2) I head-cannon that Billy has a hyper fixation on animals. It might have stated with Tigers (I’m looking at you Tawny) but I see it delving into other animals like crocodiles, hypos then rabbits … Ect. With all the bipedal magic animal people, I see him taking an interest in them and genuinely wants to learn more about them. I see him taking over the zoo after Dudley retires, but then converts it into a conservatory and makes expansions (I’ll explain why in a bit).
3) I also see him hyper fixating on magic. So naturally he hyper fixated extra hard on magical creatures. Say he finds out smuggling rings and hunting organisations hunting magical creatures,he would need a place for them to shelter them for them to recover. And maybe decided to host and take care of almost extinct species, and care for them as his own.
So in the eyes of the public, he runs an animal conservatory dedicated to nurturing wounded animals and host endangered species. But secretly does the same thing for magical creatures as well as have a place for them to stay while he takes care of the Smugglers and Hunters. If they decide to stay and protect their territory afterwards, then that’s defiantly not a complaint.
Darla would love to work there (if she exists here). Specially on the magical creature side (couch unicorns cough). I see Mary also being extreme interested (may be for the less magical side), and could work there when she’s not doing her model/celebrity work.
Idk, the reporter by day trope has been a bit over used, and while I may like it, I absolutely love the idea of Billy mixing his Champion duties with his job that he would absolutely love.

@skelekingfeddy asked: (1/?) from hussie's now-defunct tumblr, re mindfang's journal: Mindfang’s journal entries were always intended as narrative departures in which I would deliberately drag the story into what I call “The Bad Fanfiction Zone.” Without necessarily laying it on TOO thick (because holy shit, fanfiction can be REALLY bad), I specifically emulated some common impulses of fanfiction writers to open this backstory portal, to fill in some world building details and contextualize the arcs of the troll kids. (2/?) It’s kind of bombastic, character-aggrandizing, uncomfortably erotic, and florid. I wanted to leverage the Bad Fanfiction Zone for useful story purposes, primarily because this was a funny idea to me. It’s one of those gags which I don’t expect the majority of readers to pick up on. Some people LOVE the Mindfang stuff because, among other reasons, they’re often the sort of people who genuinely like to read fanfiction! Whereas some others HATED the journals, probably without even fully (3/4) understanding why. The reason is because I bombed my own story with bad fanfiction, and tricked them into reading it. This is absolutely the most hilarious consequence of this gag. But don’t get me wrong. Just because I call it the Bad Fanfiction Zone doesn’t mean I actually think the Mindfang stuff is bad. All the lore is good and I like the indirect filling in of events and details of alien culture as you’d reveal through study of historical documents and journals. But the execution is (4/4) humorously heavy handed, somewhere between lavish old world prose and an enthusiastic fandom hackjob, and this was a conscious layer of the gag. And there are some people who do pick up on this.
Hmm - this is verbatim Hussie, right?
Honestly, I'm not sure I understand the joke. I've read a decent amount of fanfiction, and Mindfang's journal didn't match any fic tropes I'm familiar with. To me, the hallmarks of bad fanfiction are things like stilted dialogue, pacing issues, or a misunderstanding of the source material - none of which, in my opinion, is exhibited by the journals. Sure, Mindfang's language is overly flowery, but that's clearly because she's completely full of herself. She adores the sound of her own voice, so she'll always write a paragraph when she should have written a line.
All this to say - I don't really know what Hussie means when he says the journal is a 'bad fanfiction'. I am quite interested in what he's getting at, though, so if anyone did get the joke, I'd very much like to know what sort of fanfiction 'impulses' Hussie is riffing off here.

Mortal Kombat Headkanons
in which i talk about certain characters
a/n: the success of my short!fem!reader x bi han canons made me want to make a couple of hcs for some of my other favorite characters
ship[s]: none
warning(s): bi!johnny?
Tumblr media
Johnny:
- he misses his wife. more than words could say
- he doesn't prolong the divorce, signing the papers and immediately giving her the required settlement without issue
- Johnny and kung lao definitely have drinking competitions. like, they drink to see who can handle more (Kung Lao often loses and pays Johnny)
- Johnny talks to kenshi about his divorce, a lot (does it count as talking if he wakes up next to him in bed?)
- Johnny does really good research when he's creating his mortal kombat cinematic universe. like, really good research. i know the kanon end for him is a director, but if you really examine that clip, it's incredible how much thought he put into this
- you know how johnny tells tomas that if he wins their spar he gets a part? i think even if tomas lost, he'd still give him the part
- Johnny takes up journaling as a coping mechanism. i'd say that it would've been introduced to him by Raiden, but he uses it to vent about his PTSD in Shang Tsung's lab
Raiden:
- i believe Raiden reassures Kung Lao a lot. we know that Kung Lao often is compared to Raiden, but it never affects Kung Lao in a negative way- and i think it's because of how kind Raiden is
- he hypes Kung Lao up in different ways, and Kung Lao takes them as genuine compliments
- Raiden. loves. hugs. no, i won't be taking criticisms
- a part of me thinks Raiden does have a twisted darkness to him, remained untapped of course because of how Liu Kang made him. i headcanon that this darkness grows bit by bit when he trains with the Shirai Ryu
- speaking of the Shirai Ryu, Hanzo definitely has taken a liking to Raiden. if Hanzo looks at Takeda like an older brother, and Tomas maybe as an uncle/father figure, Raiden is def another older brother
- i think Raiden dotes on his sister a lot. he definitely takes good care of her, always praising her and patting her head and whatnot. he does the same to Hanzo for sure
- Raiden still visits Fengjian to help with chores. no, i won't be taking any criticisms on this
Kung Lao:
- as mentioned above, Kung Lao doesn't have a hating bone in his body for Raiden because Raiden himself keeps him grounded
- however, i still think Kung Lao struggles with identity issues. i think he has days where he really thinks about him and Raiden, and how Raiden is branded as the "better version" of him
- Kung Lao is a cuddle bug. no, i will not be taking any form of criticism at all on this take
- for some reason, I can see Kung Lao making wordplay jokes. i'm filipino, and wordplay is a huge thing in our culture and humor, and I'm pretty sure the Chinese language dabbles in good wordplay humor as well
- Kung Lao absolutely plays boardgames. i can see him introducing Johnny, Kenshi, and the other monks to games he and Raiden played when they were younger
- if Kung Lao had a phone, he'd so be into memes, dank memes, tiktok memes, and the gen z slang business. i can hear him say "i fw that heavy" or the other stuff that's been trending. i'm so bold as to say his favorite type of meme might be vine humor
- i think Kung Lao is an only child. idk, y'all can debate me on this one
Kenshi Takahashi:
- he sends letters to Suchin. since she's still part of the yakuza, and he against, he can't exactly be near her. he writes in great detail, and he'll even send a picture or sketches for Suchin as a visual aid
- i think pre-blindess, Kenshi would have been a major sketcher. he wouldn't be really good at it, but he'd create amazing (and quick) scenery stills of different places he's been to
- Kenshi is such a good listener. no, i'm not trying to be funny since he's blind- i really believe he listens well and gives good advice
- Kenshi would so fight with Takeda. just like how Raiden and Kung Lao fought to settle their bets, those two would also duel
- part of me imagines Kenshi waking up early for training. i think he'd train the best with Raiden, then Kung Lao, then Johnny. i'd go as far to say that Kenshi likes Raiden's company post-spars
- post-blind Kenshi most definitely deals with PTSD, no doubt. he and Johnny talk about it, and I'd like to say both he and Johnny developed insomnia and stay up to talk over the phone
- i hc that Johnny goes to Japan to do research for a "Kenshi Takahashi" solo film, and that he takes Kenshi with him to act as a tour guide and a cultural master (pls go look at @/heyachow on IG! she draws MK1 art and there is a JohnShi post that pertains to this idea)
- he's confused on how he feels for both johnny and suchin
Geras:
- as a fandom, we do not talk about this man enough
- as much as Geras is a loyal follower, i'd like to think that there are times he does doubt Liu Kang. however, when a kanon event comes to pass, his faith in him is restored and he continues with life
- i know Liu Kang said that Geras isn't one for social calls, but i can't shake the feeling that Geras does pop into the Fire Temple for tea. Liu Kang 100% put him on it too (ginseng tea would be Geras's favorite)
- there's a voice-line of Geras and Takeda talking about the dinosaur's extinction, but i think i get why Geras would be traumatized over that. i think he sees it aslife being wiped out in the blink of an eye, and since he was part of the process in creation of it, he feels guilty
- Geras would give firm handshakes if he wasn't so opposed to mortals. you can all argue with the wall on this take
- when Geras talks to others and they ask about their futures or pasts, the people like Tomas, Tanya, or even Takeda make him sad because he (once again) feels responsible. of course, it's part of the course of their fates, but he looks at them a little longer compared to others
- since Geras would be the Keeper of Time after Liu Kang, i think he likes to use the hourglass to view his favorite memories of his friends (though he does not call them friends)
- this might be a fanon, but Geras absolutely makes sand sculptures when he gets uber bored
Liu Kang:
- i think the characters misinterpret the intention Liu Kang had for the timeline. his whole purpose was to make it so that humans had free will to create their own destinies and endings- choose your own adventure
- i think Liu Kang beats himself up from time to time when thinking over the paths of certain people. Bi Han, Tomas, Shang Tsung, even General Shao, he thinks of these people and wonders if he could have made better choices in terms of their lore and origins
- i know it's canon that Liu Kang wishes he made Johnny more humble, but damn do i believe he really regrets it at times. like, he'll openly talk about it to people like Raiden, or Kung Lao
- speaking of them, he looks at his pupils and sometimes sees the visages of his former mentor and best friend. he's content with his life as the protector of Earthrealm, but can a man dream
- Liu Kang would absolutely use the Hourglass to see his Kitana again. i'm not entirely sure how that works, but i imagine you can use it to see into the other timelines as the flow of time continues. he'd smile fondly at the image of his love training her pupils
- this plays into the Geras tea headcanon, but Liu Kang would absolutely (and proudly) ask for Geras to join him for tea. instead of talking, though, they'd sit in silence- a comfortable one
- since Liu Kang's ending in the game means he is no longer immortal, but will live rather long, i imagine him to be scared of losing his life. in previous timelines, he's died and resurrected, but this time it's permanent. that is what scares him
Sindel:
- she's the epitome of "i won't apologize, but here's a bowl of your favorite fruits"
- as she watches over her daughters through Ermac's eyes, she most definitely regrets the harshness she had towards Mileena. though she cannot personally come through Ermac due to the amount of souls it houses, Jerrod tells Mileena for her
- this might borderline fanon, but i think the reason Sindel chose blue and red/maroon for Kitana and Mileena was because blue+red=purple. kind of poetic in a sense, that her daughters make up who she is as a woman, mother, and a queen
- when Li Mei is seen through Ermac's eyes, Sindel cries. she can't hug her friend anymore, and she most definitely can't give her the proper apology she deserves after her years of mistreatment against her
- Sindel hates spicy food. idk, she just looks like she does
- Sindel definitely knew that Mileena was a lesbian before Mileena could even name it. i'd like to think she knew when Mileena shaved her head like that when she was maybe 8000 years old?
- Sindel was definitely proud of Mileena with her stance on Tarkatans and people infected with Tarkat. she definitely regrets how she treated them, and her hypocrisy, especially since they had the power to provide people with a semi-cure
Shang Tsung:
- there's a voice-line on Shang Tsung and another character saying that he was actually doing research on Tarkat and finding a cure. while the characters don't believe him (i don't blame them), i actually believe that he was doing good
- part of me still believes he brews his potions and experiments with Tarkat remedies on that island he found
- Shang Tsung is a cat guy. wave your pitch forks all you want
- Shang Tsung looks like the type of guy to visit his old home just to burn it down. with his fire powers, he absolutely would watch his childhood home burn until it became nothing but ash
- i think Shang Tsung would take leisure walks. if he's in a village, he'll take precaution to shift into a different form, but he will still make time out of his day to take a walk
- he has stacks upon stacks upon stacks upon stacks of journals and scrolls on medicine
General Shao:
- i think there are times where Shao does regret turning against the crown. his military lineage and history, and all the lessons he'd been indoctrinated with make him think like that sometimes, especially since his father had watched him overcome his illness
- i think Shao is ticklish at his horns
- Shao views Reiko like a son. he'll take care of him personally when he is sick or injured
- Shao likes nightly walks
- Shao would absolutely fuck with spicy food
- before Shao was on the run, he snuck back into his family home to grab his father's heirloom. i don't know what it would be, but it would be important enough for him to take from you
Tanya:
- if she misses a day of prayer/temple days, she is visibly dejected
- Tanya absolutely writes love notes to Mileena. sometimes it accidentally gets sent to Kitana, and she receives response notes along the lines of "please, get a room"
- she's the type of girl to stick by the schedule, and it's not just because she is Umgadi. i believe her personality to be "stick to the books", always following the rules (except for Mileena of course)
- the sisters know Tanya is jealous when they spar against her. Tanya would see Mileena on a date with a potential suitor and she'd take it out on the sparring field
- Tanya visits Li Mei for coffee or a meal. it serves as both making new friends and repairing bridges
- i think Tanya is a clean freak. you guys can talk to the hand on this take
Kitana:
- since Kitana is now a movie lover, of course she's excited when Johnny and his film crew are in the palace. she definitely asks questions on what the cameras do, what the clapperboard is, and what the editors do
- i think Kitana was a crier growing up. i could see a little Kitana telling Mileena that someone called her ugly, and Mileena would sock that idiot's face in without wavering
- Kitana and Mileena used to be close, and Kitana does whatever she can to always remind Mileena that she does love and support her
- Kitana thinks about Raiden. if she gets lucky with Mileena's schedule, she talks to her about her feelings towards him. usually it ends up with Kitana denying her feelings about him
- Kitana is a mama's girl
- Kitana secretly wishes the best for Tanya and Mileena. in public, she cannot say anything about their relationship. in private, though, she'll talk to Mileena about all the little thing she saw going on between them
=====================
and that's a wrap for that hc list
i got eight reqs i havent started, and three finished lined up in the queue, you guys are so sweet!
i can't wait to keep writing, and i'll see yall in the next fic!

-Dean is so worried about Sam and his nightmares that he offers to let him drive for apparently the first time ever. The way Sam says “you’re worried about me, I get it” like he’s used to Dean being worried about him. I’m not crying you’re crying.
-there’s just no sane reason for them to stand that close together to look at a photo of a large bear
Tumblr media
-I love how Dean teases Sam for using the word “corporeal” but then demonstrates that he does in fact know that word. This makes me believe that Dean is well-read but kinda shy about it because 1. reading was one of the only pastimes he has consistent access to growing up but John wasn’t much of a reader and 2. he wanted to share something with his voracious learner little brother without being obvious, which is why Sam is often surprised in later episodes to learn that Dean read The Odyssey and several books by Kurt Vonnegut
-sidebar was anyone going to tell me those excerpts from John’s journal (about child Dean protectively holding baby Sammy as they slept and Sam taking his first steps toward Dean) are canon or was I just supposed to google it myself?? Anyway the journal also said that Dean did really well in school as a kid before he was a hunter. I love that he’s smart and was probably a little jealous of Sam for succeeding in school when he never really had the chance to.
-Sam seems genuinely hurt that Dean is teasing him about being well-educated. It’s a sore spot.
-Dean: “her brother’s missing, Sam, she’s not just gonna sit this one out” self explanatory
-I wonder when Sam noticed that Dean was still wearing his amulet and if it was a relief or a given
-the way Sam just STARES at Dean when he’s speaking get a room. He has an intense gaze with everyone but his eyes just travel all over Dean’s face in open wonder
Tumblr media
-Dean said service to others helps with trauma (saving people, hunting things) and he’s right aside from all the extra trauma he’s racking up. The fact that it’s so normal to him is probably part of why he doesn’t think it’s bad to pull Sam back in.
-Sam’s soft little “are you sure you’re okay?” after helping Dean and then Dean twirling the flare guns to make Sam smile.
-this episode was about Sam letting Dean in after all these years by emulating him, admiring him, and letting him make him feel better by accepting his offer to drive
-it’s been said before but who looks at their brother like this

I absolutely your Robin Jason headcannons, do you have any more? Maybe some Red Hood ones as well?
!!! im so happy to be getting these asks this is so fun
More Jaybin hcs (part one here):
He has a bunch of 1960s style clothes because Rena likes dressing like a mix of Amy Winehouse and Twiggy
baby goth in the making thanks to Natalia. she gives him a collection of Edgar Allen Poe's poems and he's just hook, line, and sinker into the subculture
He usually listens to metal bands but his guilty pleasure music is slow ballads and gayboy pop (think Kevin Atwater and Troye Sivan)
His favorite rogue to fight is KGBeast because of sentimentality, since KGB is the first rogue he ever defeated as Robin
He has pimples on his thighs and neck but somehow never on his face
He hates having his nails painted because of sensory issues, but lets Rena paint them anyway
His favorite of Dick's teammates is Vic, because he let Jason watch him fix one of Kori's alien weapons once, and he's super patient and kind and answers all of Jason's questions
Red Hood hcs:
Still mostly listens to metal but his favorite band is Rainbow Kitten Surprise (his favorite song is Finalist)
He has a journal where he writes shitty, angsty poetry with a fountain pen
He can never quite resist petting dogs during patrol, so there are multiple pictures online of Mafia Boss Red Hood playing with civilian's puppies
Has a tattoo of a wilded rose on top of his batarang scar to hide it. It's corny and ugly as hell but that was kind of the point. After he starts dating Rose he tells her it's because they were destined to meet. She gags every time
full-fledged romantic goth now. I'm talking manic panic white base, big eyeliner, and fake fangs. I'm talking huge messy hair with about a ton of hairspray. I'm talking "hates that every goth clothing he can find has bats on it"
His main mug is one of those corny millennial "don't talk to me until I've had my coffee" ones that Roy got for him during the outlaws. Jason uses it ironically but Roy thinks he also finds it funny
Sometimes when he's feeling nostalgic Jason will lay down on a rooftop and try to find where Oa is up in the sky, because he and Kyle looked for constellations together during Cosmic Mistake
Contrary to popular belief, his favorite superhero isn't Wonder Woman, it's Black Canary. Which is too bad because she hates his guts
Sent Sasha to live with an ex-con he trusted in South Dakota. He still sends her gifts often but they don't talk anymore since they realized how bad he was to her mental health
Deathstroke's #5 hater. Loses only to all 3 Wilson children (minus Res), Cassandra Cain, and Oliver Queen
Really wants to meet Connor Hawke because he was actually being genuine in GA Vol3 when he told Ollie he'd always wanted to meet him, and has since really really wanted to meet all of the Arrows even though none of them like him. He's the world's worst fanboy
Will do anything Talia asks of him but spits on Ra's face if he so much as looks in Jason's direction
Calls Damian "little prince" in Arabic (Amir Le-Zghir) specifically because of the book, but ALSO because it was what Willis called him when he was a child
Duke is his favorite bat because he isn't afraid to make fun of Jason, gets into a shit ton of trouble, and swears around Bruce like it's nothing
Whew, I think that's enough for a single post. Still have a lot more though lmao

warmth
what makes their heart warm?
[ ft. verlaine, dazai, atsushi, and kyoka. can be interpreted as platonic or romantic (kyoka is strictly platonic!) ]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dazai isn't someone who easily trusts people, that's for sure. The only way to get to his heart is consistency and being genuine.
It starts with noticing how he doesn't eat much, and you heard him mention how he likes canned crab. So you got him just that one day, and left it on his desk. He'd figure out who it's from easily, I mean, it's Dazai we're talking about. When he needs something, you'll be there. You respond to texts and calls on time, and get him thoughtful things from time to time. Not to say that you aren't firm with him. He's gotta do his work, he's gotta fill his share. Over time, you'll get to him- without a doubt. It'll take an ungodly amount of patience to get through with everything, but so long as you're both together in the end, that's okay.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Atsushi is precious, but that's obvious! Little things from the people he cares about make him so, so happy. You helped him finish some documents? RWIJBSWEWSILDEM. You made him lunch? YOU'RE TOO KIND! Every little thing people do for him makes him feel warm inside. Just knowing people care for him and will take time out of their schedule to do something for him makes him unimaginably happy. Still, sometimes you have to reassure him that he isn't a burden because you did that. You're doing this because you care about him, not because he's being any sort of a burden to you. You want to do that, especially because he isn't a burden at all. (Potentially just makes him cry more but it's happy tears, I swear)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Verlaine is not open to affection at first. Still, patience is a virtue, and you'll stick through it to pry open his heart a little. It starts with spending some time together, getting to know each other from an arm's length. You get to know him at least a little, and you see what you can do from their. He's fascinating, so of course you want to learn more. So you do, and since you know how to keep a promise, he tells you a little more. Next time you come, you think of a gift he'd like. It's a journal, so when you're not there to talk with him, he can at least empty his innermost thoughts onto the page. You dare not read it, it's not yours to read. It's a long time later when he tells you about his so-called lack of humanity. You laugh in the face of his bullshit- he's never been any less than human to you. Since he seemed to like using the diary, you come around more so he can have someone to talk to face-to-face. And so comes a dynasty of trust and late-night confessions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ strictly platonic! ]
The moment you heard Kyoka some of Kyoka's likes and dislikes, you knew exactly what to do. Some days a little rabbit plush would appear on her desk when she had a bad day, other times a plate of tofu when she forgot to eat lunch. You would chat with her on missions every once in a while. You looked out for her instead of looking to use her, so she returned the sentiment. She figured out who was doing the gifts so she began to do the same with you, so it was mutually helping each other out through without actually saying a word about who was doing it with the other. You two never even talked about the gifts, even though you two talked all the time with each other. You acted like siblings, which does entail talking about dumb things and doing even dumber competitions, but that's only to get each other's minds off of bad days. Just caring for her when she's vulnerable is heartwarming.
----------
And that's it for my first post. Sfw requests are open! I love you all and have an amazing day.

:ఌ¨ ♱ MHA POLY RELATIONSHIP HCS
☆ pairings : Kyoka Jirou x Denki Kaminari x gn!Reader x Momo Yaoyorozu
☆ tags : fluff, sfw, poly headcanons, gn!reader, poly jirou, poly momo, poly denki, wholesome, poly relationship, implied spoilers(?), bi relationship
☆ relationship summary : all four of you are dating each other! (kamimomo, momojirou, kamijirou)
commissions || masterlist || fandoms || navigation
ꪆ୧ KAMIMOMOJIROU × gn!READER ꪆ୧
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You would definitely end up in their band somehow, depends if you play or not. If you did join, they would all be so happy!
Jirou especially.
If you didn't want to join, they would have you watch them practice, and count on you to give them criticism.
Study sessions!!
All held by Yaomomo, you guys would all study together. Depending on your grades, you would either assist Yaomomo, or be as confused as Jirou and Denki.
Yaomomo and Jirou are pretty quiet people, so others wouldn't know about your relationship. At least, from them.
Denki, on the other hand, brags about his relationship with you three. He's always praising you all! He never misses a chance to tell someone how awesome his partners are.
Jirou would write songs about you guys, if you're lucky, she'd play some for you. She uses music to express herself, so she resorts to that when she's feeling flustered.
Yaomomo would write poems, or letters. I can see her doing both. She has a whole journal of poems for you guys, each of you have specific ones and some are even about all three of you.
They all have different ways of loving you and eachother, it's never boring between you guys.
Yaomomo is constantly out buying gifts for you all. If she hears you like something, or want something even once, she buys it.
Jirou prefers quality time over anything, she loves to hang out with you guys. Even one on one. Sometimes she may be scared to ask, other times she'll be inviting you to all sorts of places.
Denki resorts to words of affirmation and physical touch a lot. He's constantly praising you three no matter what you do! You guys are just so amazing to him! On other occasions, he'll cling onto you very subtly. When you guys hang out, he'd find a way to be close to one of you somehow.
You guys would all cuddle on Yaomomo's bed. It's insanely huge, so it would manage to fit all four of you.
Jirou and Yaomomo sleep peacefully while Denki is all over the place.
He would wake up in the most randomest positions. Sometimes, one of you would somehow end up off the bed.
It happened so many times that when you ended up on the floor again, he had to be tied to the bed. Or in the middle of you guys, just somehow contained.
Your quirks all manage to work really well together, which makes you guys a really good team.
You guys are usually paired up somehow, all four, two and two, three and one (if one of you isn't available).
There's never distance between you guys!
They make sure you guys are included somehow, but it's usually rare any of you don't feel involved. Everything is so natural with you guys that jealousy and possessiveness almost never happens.
And if they're is, it's very small. It ends up getting resolved quickly.
Jirou usually is slightly possessive, equally for you all. She'll cling onto you guys slightly or even try to get one of your attention on her.
Denki can be slightly jealous sometimes. He would immediately come to one of you!
Yaomomo can be both, for a good reason. It's rare for her to feel this way, unless she feels it's a genuine threat with one of you.
Denki is insanely flirty. He always manages to get everyone flustered!
He's also always joking, it's never boring with him around. Jirou always laughs at his jokes even if they aren't funny, and Yaomomo smiles softly to herself. You usually joke with him or laugh at him!
Jirou usually takes you guys to concerts, Yaomomo prefers more quiet things like picnics, and Denki loves amusement parks!
Because of Yaomomo, you guys always manage to have time for each other.
Dates, hangouts, etc. are usually managed by her.
Yaomomo is very good at communicating.
Denki is amazing at cheering people up.
Jirou is wonderful at comforting.
Each of you balances each other out.
Overall, the four of you would be so cute! There's never any issues, and you all are always having fun.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
☆ new series I thought of that I think will be fun. I don't see a lot of poly hcs, especially for mha, so I wanted to be the one to write them. If you want to request a ship x reader, send an ask or comment/reblog ^^ !! ☆

Episode One this is single-handedly bringing back my obsession even though it never left
- its 2022. Why is everyone freaked out bc a girl wears all black. Like people do that on a daily basis nowadays
- PUGSLEY POOR GUY :(
- “I want names” didn’t you JUST see them walking away from the locker
- Stop shoving him in a locker tied up is actually so mean wtf
- I see people use this piranha scene as justification that she’d be okay with murder, but really it’s justification that she wouldn’t be okay with people hurting her friends and those she cares about AT ALL. She’s trying to KILL these guys just for bullying their brother. Imagine what she’d do to Tyler for hurting Eugene and Enid.
- The intro is SO fucking cool
- Emma was so far down on the list of actors and now my girl is #3 behind Jenna and buscemi. She’s a main character now B)
- If I were Wednesday I’d be pissed too. I CANT with the parents. Like I love you but RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER 😭
- It’s five minutes in and I have so many notes
- Have to say again with the “terrible, they’d know I didn’t get the job done” that Wednesday is MORBID, not okay with murder unless she deems the person deserves it
- Ergh there is clearly so much discrimination against outcasts
- Weems and morticia r lowkey giving homoerotic rivalry…
- I FORGOT HOW FUNNY WEDNESDAY IS
- I genuinely can’t even like… I CANT WHY DID WEEMS PAIR HER WITH ENID 😭
- Guys Enid is SO cute holy fuck. She is UNPHASED bro, she’s just so excited to have a roommate she’s so cute I’m sobbing. She just wanted to accept Wednesday.
- YALL WHEN THEYRE WALKING DOWN THE STEPS WEDNESDAY LITERALLY GRAVITATES TOWARDS ENID. LITERALLY RUNS INTO HER
- Wednesday just lies about killing two kids to Enid and Enid just moved on like nothing happened.
- Also HELLO? THEIR BANTER? Enid takes NO shit 😭
- Hmm part of me wonders if those wolves howling were making fun of Enid.
- They’re literally leaning into each other wha
- “You better watch your back” and Wednesday is behind her that’s so funny
- How do you go from “cute but clueless” to “obsessed” enjax was lowkey forced whereas wenclair had chemistry from the beginning
- AW PUGSLEY HES SO CUTE
- Wednesday being a housewife will NEVER make sense
- I know people hate the relationship between Wednesday and morticia but it’s very realistic. You can easily tell they still love each other despite the harsh words.
- YEESH THE HYDE TORE HIM APART (I think this works with my theory that the more Tyler is aware of the Hyde, the more controlled his attacks get. Which also means that he knew what he was doing when he killed Kinbott, leaving her alive to taste her fear. And he knew what he was doing in the forest when he tried to kill Wednesday and nearly attacked his father)
- WENCLAIR FIGHT THEYRE SO FUNNY TOGETHER THEY ARGUE LIKE AN OLD COUPLE
- when did Wednesday check out enid’s blog. How and why.
- THE LITTLE SCOFF BEFORE “you mean emojis?”
- Enid huffing is crazy girly is ANGRY
- The way they just stare each other down is crazy wenclair is SO full of banter I forgot how hilarious they are
- ENID SIDE EYES WEDNESDAY SO MUCH
- Bianca lowkey eating everyone up…
- Bianca is so aggressive in her fighting style, whereas Wednesday is precise. It’s really cool
- THE GASPING IN THE BACKGROUND AFTER “let’s see if you bleed in black and white.”
- Xavier scoffs so much in this show and every time he does it lowkey makes me hate him more
- “No good deed goes unpunished” okay elphaba
- Girly was smiling when she was about to die.
- DUDE WHY WAS XAVIER LEANING OVER HER? WHO DOES THAT? JUST SIT DOWN NEXT TO HER.
- “Call it instinct” shut up actually
- Bro she had NO clue who Xavier was 😭
- It bothers me that ppl think she cared Xavier was in the coffin. She just wanted to see the godmother come back to life fr
- THING HAHA MY FAV
- I would be flabbergasted if my therapist read the equivalent of my journal before our sessions. She never should have been sent that.
- Ergh Tyler…
- The deep voice lowkey sounds really forced, idk what it is about Tyler’s voice but it bugs me. I think it’s the way his lines always kinda have the same delivery.
- Twenty bucks when he probably makes that in like half a day of work 😭
- The pilgrims look like such dorks bro who are they tryna scare 💀
- Why are they asking her if she’s “been with a normie” that’s so weird
- “THIS LITTLE THING TOOK DOWN THREE BOYS???” HELP
- Her playing with the necklace means everything to me
- Damn the hiker was the third victim
- The sheet music doesn’t match what she was playing but that doesn’t rly matter
- Love that enid went from disgusted to things bff
- Their roof scene is so meaningful to me. They work so well together. Enid doesn’t need anyone but Wednesday and Wednesday doesn’t need anyone but Enid. Enid teaches her how to relate to others and feel empathy and Wednesday teaches Enid to unapologetically be herself.
- Nero :(
- Them bonding is so cute 😭 this is rekindling my obsession
- Notice the immediate disrespect from Tyler but Enid gets close with thing so quickly
- Damn Enid is suspicious. Bro has some killer instincts
- “Hint taken” and Xavier proceeds to KEEP talking to her
- So Wednesday gives Tyler a time and place and you’re telling me it’s just a coincidence that those three pilgrims show up at that exact time at place? Literally there WAITING? No way. Tyler had to have told them, sorry about it.
- I lowkey feel bad for Weems. She’s a little controversial but she was just trying to do her best for nevermore
- Nah man that was an absolute ploy. There’s no way they just happened to know where to be. Tyler was trying to keep her from leaving. He already knew who she was by then and that they needed her.
- Rowan was so conflicted he didn’t deserve to die. He was just trying to protect people
- The way she scrambled over to him even after he tried to kill her :(
- YALL I LOVE THIS SHOW WTF 😭

I feel like Arven would try his hand at growing the herba mystica in his dorm, have a problem, and refuse to ask for help until Protag and Co find him haunting the horticulture section of the library for the fifth straight day without sleep.
At which point Protag shrugs and suggests asking their mom, since she’s got a really big garden that’s growing super well.
Cut to Arven awkwardly having tea and thanking everything holy that he paid attention in Languages enough to understand when she jumps into Galarian on a word she doesn’t know in Paldaen. Protag is telling their mom about the herbs and their journey to find them, and even excitedly telling her about what the herbs did for Mabosstiff. Arven tries not to feel weird about the feelings that well up when she gives him a genuinely sympathetic look and apologizes that he had to go through that alone for so long. After he chokes out the ‘thank you’ in response, Protag rounds back to growing the herbs-- they could help people AND pokemon. And they should, which is why Arven is wary of, like, asking a commercial source for help. He’s not stupid, he knows the herbs would be skwovet’d away for who knows how long until they’re fully studied. And yeah, they should be studied, but he feels... like he should be involved. Some part of him wonders if its his parent’s influence in him, wanting a stake in finding out the why of it. Some part of it is his desire to make food that’s good for everyone. Right now, though, there’s not enough of the herbs to do much with anyway. Thus why they’re there.
Protag’s mom suggests a climate controlled greenhouse-- partially to simulate the environment each herb was found in, and partially to keep out wild pokemon to keep more titans from growing. Unfortunately, the greenhouse at the academy is full and it’s not like Arven has a place outside there where he can be to keep an eye on things. So she suggests they build it in the back garden of their house and Arven will “just have to visit to keep up with things”. Protag offers to split their room with him while they set up, so they don’t have to flying taxi back and forth every day--though they still can when normal classes are in progress.
First day there, though, Arven sleeps on the couch. Under a cozy blanket that smells like lavender, with a stomach full of home cooked food. Mabosstiff is curled up against the couch with his head on his paws, snoozing away. First break he spends there, he has his own bed and Protag’s mom knows what kind of foods he likes. The herbs are growing well, but somehow he’s more focused on the house, rather than the greenhouse. Mabosstiff has claimed the skwovet plush as his own, though he does begrudgingly share with Protag’s starter on occasion. By the time the herbs are ready to be harvested and studied, he’s a regular fixture. Spends holidays and weekends there, when not catching up on studies. His half of the room has his signature yellow aesthetic. There are bookcases of old notebooks Protag brought him from his parent’s lab--nothing about the crater per se, but things that had been moved down there and left behind. Copies of personal pokemon observations. Formula books with notes in the margins, an old journal that mentions getting a maschiff that bonded with baby Arven. Journals about him. He keeps them at the house so he can focus on school-- and so, if he reads them and gets worked up, he’ll know someone will hear him cry and snap him out of it.
There’s a point where a ‘family’ picture is being taken. He’s pulled in by Protag and their mom, insisting he and his pokemon count as family-- why wouldn’t he be in the photo? I think he’d probably be trying very hard not to cry, at least until the picture was taken.
I just feel like he could use being adopted.

'Keep the car running'
TMNT 2012 Leonardo & Raphael & Donatello & Michelangelo Written for @tmnt-secret-santa-2024 PROMPT: Rainstorm
AO3
---
It's April who first finds the box.
The attic of the Farm House is a dusty place - full of sheet-covered furniture, old lamps, and cobwebs.
The winter air brushes past the small window - unfinished and bordered with yellow foam and insulation.
Leo has never been in an attic before. He wishes it wasn't so cold.
The chill settles in his bones like needles, digging into his muscles and making his knee buckle.
He knows April and Raph saw him limp up the ladder, but she didn't say anything.
He's not really sure why they brought him along.
Maybe to just get him out of bed.
The thought that he's now the type of person that needs to be tricked into getting out of bed makes him want to close in on himself until there's nothing left.
April looks back at him and smiles. It looks genuine. He's not sure what she's smiling about; he has done and accomplished exactly nothing besides staring out the window and turning an old toy car in his hands.
(He's still holding it. Mikey might like it.)
But she looks kind and pretty in the blue winter sun, so he forces a smile back.
It's not like Raph has been any help either.
He's currently sitting on the edge of an old drawer, and he almost has to bend in half to not hit his head on the slope of the roof.
He somehow makes it look almost casual, and if Leo were anyone else, maybe he wouldn't notice his sai, tucked away behind his wrist, carefully carving away at the wood.
“It must be somewhere in here,” April says, maybe more to herself than to Leo.
She reaches for another box, tucked deeper into the corner, pushing a stack of books over in the process.
That makes Raph look up, briefly.
They're looking for an old camera her family used to own, that probably doesn't work anymore but it's still worth a try.
The boredom really is rotting them from the inside out.
April cuts the tape holding the carton box together using a pocketknife - with the precision of a skilled fighter and the carelessness of a teenager.
She cuts her finger, but only a little.
Raph walks to stand behind her, maybe to make sure she doesn't take out a whole hand next - or maybe just to peek inside the box.
“Woah,” he says suddenly, which is an unexpected reaction. Then he laughs, which is more his style. “Is this yours?”
April scoffs, looking behind her shoulder to glare at him.
“What are you laughing at? You're a dick,” she says, without any real vigor, which means she's not really upset.
Probably. Leo doesn't pretend like he always understands his friend. Or girls, for that matter.
He walks up to them, and when his knee swells with pain, he doesn't let it show. If he did, they would start asking why he never uses the cane Donnie made for him, and he'd rather deal with hundreds of needles tearing his flesh apart, than to answer that particular question.
At first, he's not quite sure what he's looking at.
It's maps and books, handmade drawings, journals, something like suspenders, and strangest of all - a dusty pair of binoculars.
“It's my dad's,” April explains. “I think he used to be really into bird-watching when we still lived in the countryside.”
That makes a bit more sense. Leo was wondering why there were so many birds sketched onto the covers.
He goes to kneel down. It hurts, but if he doesn't sit right now, he might just fall over.
He's not really sure why he reaches into the box.
Maybe for something to do with his hands. Maybe he's just bored. Maybe it's already sitting right in front of him, and he'll die if he doesn't stop thinking about the pain.
He takes the first book in his hand.
It's small and heavy, and dusty; with a watercolor-ed bird looking right back at him from the cover.
He doesn't recognize it, which is not surprising because he doesn't know anything about birds.
The small text below the title lets him know it's a mockingbird, which might be a joke. He's not really sure.
“Wow,” Raph grins. “Didn't know your dad was an elite member of the Big Nerd Club.”
“Come up with something original for once, I'm begging you,” April says.
Leo knows he's been a little too silent for a little too long, but he can't bring himself to put the book down.
It's stupid and he shouldn't care, because he's sixteen, the city he left behind is being devoured from inside out, his father might be dead, and this is the last thing that should be on his mind.
And yet.
On days where he wakes early, right before dawn, like he's still being pulled along by old habits, like trying on clothes that don't quite fit him anymore – he likes to sit on the porch.
He likes the cold sharp air, how it fills in his lungs, how it shakes up his mind from the fog he so often finds himself in nowadays.
And when he sits there, he hears birds.
He always liked it, in an off-handed, natural way; the way he likes to hear wood splintering in the fireplace or the rain knocking on a window. Something he and many others have filed away as ''nice'' and simply never thought any more about it.
He looks at the mockingbird on the cover.
But maybe, he thinks. Maybe it would be nice to see them for once.
All of a sudden, Raph quiets.
And then there it is, that small moment where Leo can almost feel him think, his brain too fast to turn back now.
“You know,” Raph says, very quietly.
Leo puts the book down.
“No,” he answers without even hearing the question.
Raph raises his hands in a defensive gesture. Or at least Leo thinks it is; with his sai still held between his fingers it really could go either way.
“I didn't even say anything.”
“You did,” April says for Leo.
She sounds a little more upset now, and Raph looks slightly apologetic.
It makes something in Leo's stomach twist, because it used to be so hard to make Raph look visibly guilty about anything.
He's been walking on eggshells.
***
They find the camera in one of the boxes, virtually indistinguishable from the rest. It's old and smells of rust, but April says Donnie might get it to work.
He probably will.
Leo's muscles tighten when he walks back to the ladder.
That same evening, there's a box left on his bed.
***
He doesn't touch it for the first week.
Mostly out of some sense of pride. And because the thought of walking up a ladder again makes the skin in the back of his knees crawl.
But a week passes and then he's laying wide awake in the middle of the night – mind uneasily blank and the taste of blood in his mouth.
He was granted the privilege of having a whole room to himself – a small guest bedroom with a pullout sofa.
(April wanted to let him have her bed, which just felt wrong in a hundred different ways.)
He and his brothers haven't shared a room since they were little. He never realized this was something he was going to miss.
He sits in his bed, and it’s the first thing he sees.
Leo watches the box for a moment, like he's waiting for something that never happens. He's been doing that a lot lately.
He scoots to the edge of the bed to pull it closer, his fingers shaky and face numb, reaching one hand behind to turn on the lamp.
The mockingbird stares back.
He might get the joke now. It's not very funny.
The paper feels thin in his fingers.
His eyes glaze over the text, too hazy to catch anything. But they stay on the drawings.
Leo sits on his bed and watches those watercolor birds until it's morning again.
***
When he first wanders into the forest, he's not really sure what he's looking for.
Bird, preferably.
There's fresh snow on the ground, and his breath turns into white steam.
He's quiet and soft on his feet after years and years of practice, even when his bones grind against each other in a limp.
When he first sees them, he doesn't really know what to do with himself.
He stands there, his face cold and wet against his itchy scarf, and watches them from afar.
It's just birds: perfectly ordinary; stark against the white of the trees.
It's the first time in his life that he has ever considered mistaking a crow for a raven as anything remotely important, or even of any particular interest.
And yet – here he is.
He can't make up his mind; the vague images from the book too far away in his mind to be of any real use.
He fails. In a soft, gentle way.
He's still there, they're here, and next time: he'll know.
They don't sing so much as they scream, and it's all perfectly familiar and predictable.
He doesn't notice the time pass until his knee buckles.
***
He spots the bird after a few days.
It's not all that surprising; judging by the fact that he's the one stumbling upon what is presumably already a perfectly established routine.
The bird lands on a branch, like it's been doing it its whole life – which is probably true. It ruffles its feathers, all pale blues and grays; wings patterned like stained-glass.
He brought a chair this time. He tells himself that this is the sort of hobby that allows a kind of glamorized laziness, which is true enough.
He watches it sit, thrill quietly like an old wind-up toy waiting to be picked up.
It always made him think a little – how much animals seem to just idle. But they don't, not really.
They're doing exactly what they're supposed to.
He comes back the next day, and there are binoculars hung from his neck.
***
He forgets this is something he should be embarrassed about.
He's always been like this; maybe a little too enthusiastic and explosive about everything that made him the way he is. He wears his love on his sleeve, seemingly much to everyone’s annoyance.
They must've noticed, but it's only after a few weeks that someone asks.
“So, like.” Mikey interrupts himself, stuffing a thick sandwich that is mostly unevenly cut bread into his mouth. “Are you, like, an optician now?”
Leo frowns.
“What?”
He picks up more eggs on his fork. He's going to the forest right after breakfast, and he already learned the hard way how hunger makes the cold stick to his bones.
He didn't even realize how little he's been eating until now.
Donnie puts down his fork, running a hand over his forehead.
“Ornithologist,” he says, a little tired. “Is that what you mean?”
“Hey, give him some credit,” Raph huffs. “I'm surprised he even knows what that word means.”
Leo sits on their words for a moment, absentmindedly watching Casey trying to slip more of his eggs into Donnie's glass.
“I just like going outside,” he says, finally. Then, just to be a little mean: “You should try it sometime, Don.”
***
The next time he leaves, he leaves behind a handful of seeds, shamelessly stolen from April's coop. He's sure she wouldn't mind.
When he comes back, they're gone.
He can't know, but he likes to think the blue bird was at least a bit grateful.
***
“It's a bluejay,” he says during dinner. He knows this now, and it fills him with unreasonable pride. “The bird I keep seeing.”
Raph raises his head, and almost imperceptibly – looks at Donnie. They share a glance, the sort they seem to exchange a lot of lately.
They must know Leo can see it, and that makes something angry and bitter spark up inside his chest. But it doesn't catch tonight.
“Cool,” Raph says.
“Is it a boy or a girl?” Mikey asks, mouthful of Donnie's half-raw chicken.
Leo pokes at his empty plate.
“... I don't know. They're hard to tell apart.”
But that makes his brain tick.
***
It's a girl.
He spends hours poring over his books to figure it out, and it makes him wish he could call April's dad.
(That thought makes his stomach hurt until he lays down for the night.)
He tells Mikey over a game of monopoly, where half the pieces are long missing, and most of the rules are made up and change every time.
“That's so cool,” he says. “Can I name her? I'm great at naming things.”
Leo doesn't offer to let him see her, and Mikey doesn't ask.
***
The bluejay they named 'Clunk' likes to ruffle her feathers when she lands.
That's mostly how he tells her apart from the others.
There's a sort of foolish, egotistical part of him that likes to think he'd know Clunk even without it; that he'd be able to point her out in a crowd of others with his eyes closed. It's probably not true.
But he's able to point Clunk out when she sits on her branch and ruffles her feathers, and that's good enough for now.
He started to call her 'his'.
His Clunk.
She's not a pet. He's not sure she knows he's anything more than part of the everchanging background.
He thinks he likes it this way.
The thing is – he's not really sure why birds grab him in the way they do.
He thinks them pretty, sure. But there's also that itch he hasn't been able to scratch for so long; doing something new and doing it right.
Failing makes him want to come back over and over again, just to finally get it right.
There are no stakes. If he fails, there are no broken bones, no failed missions, no disappointed gazes. Her life doesn't weigh down on his shoulders with the force of an entire world.
He cares for her, of course. Maybe unreasonably so. But he could disappear, and her life would go on like always.
She'd ruffle her feathers, aim her gaze where his chair used to be, and maybe, for just a moment – linger.
And that's enough.
***
He measures time in pain.
Or more carefully – the lack thereof.
It's still rare, more of a sudden gasp than a deep breath, but his bones ache just a little less, his shell smooths just a little bit.
He started using Donnie's cane.
It's blue and fits into his grasp like a perfect mold, and he knows they're looking at him.
He knows the worry in their eyes looks deceptively close to pity; he knows they talk about him when he's not there.
But he lays it out for himself one night.
Or rather – Donnie does, rather incessantly, probably resisting the urge to hit him over the head with that cane.
It's this, or it's no cane, no walks, and no birds.
He hates that this is something they can hold over his head so easily now.
(Or at least, for the most part. It feels good to be known.)
April tells him he looks 'distinguished', which makes Raph laugh so hard he almost falls over.
Leo still takes that to heart. His chest is warm.
***
Months pass with winter, and the snow falls and melts.
There are more birds in the forest now. He notes them down, compares pictures in books and sketches, listens to so many new voices.
Clunk keeps coming back.
His heart feels full.
***
The rain starts out soft at first. He feels it coming in his knee.
He falls asleep to its rhythm, and it's still there in the morning, falling down the dusty windows they still hadn't come around to cleaning.
He only starts to worry in the evening.
The wind picks up, and April tells them it might be a storm.
It is.
Leo sits on the couch, rubbing his hands together.
He hasn't gone outside today, and his body itches.
“You good?” Casey asks when he starts to chew on his nail.
“... I'm worried about Clunk.”
Honesty is hard and it passes through his throat like he might choke on it.
His brothers quiet.
They're all sitting in the living room, and he can see their worry lines in the faint light of candles.
“... She's a bird,” Casey says.
April jabs him with her boney elbow for it, and he winces in pain, grabbing at his ribs.
“Yeah,” Mikey adds. “She's, like, built for this.”
Leo twitches.
His leg aches like a pile of old bones.
“She's gonna be okay. She's a tough lady, right?” Raph looks to Donnie, like he would know.
And Donnie nods, like he does.
Bluejays can mimic hawks. It's a defense mechanism. They open their beaks and make a sound that makes every small animal turn its head, fur stand straight on their collars, feathers ruffle.
But they're not hawks. They can bend their wings, break their bones, strain their voice all they want to, and still – they never will be.
Leo looks outside.
They forgot about the chairs on the front porch. The wind pushes them back against the railing, cold and loud.
The wood splinters.
Leo stands.
And then he runs.
***
The ground is wet and soft under his feet, and it's hard to imagine it was ever solid.
It's slippery and uneven, and he falls over himself over and over again.
His knee burns though his flesh.
He must've hit it somewhere. There's mud layering a patch of raw skin, pinkish and ugly.
He used to be the fastest out of his brothers.
Now, they catch up to him before he even gets past the tree line.
It's Mikey who grabs his arm first, pulling him to a harsh stop.
His hold hurts and Leo wants to scream. He wants to shred his throat raw, and he wants to dig into his own skin until he finds the part that betrays him again and again.
He thinks he might be angry.
Just maybe, because when Mikey turns him around to pull him into a hug, he falls limp.
“Dude,” Mikey breathes. Leo barely hears him over the wind. “What the fuck?”
“I'm”
He wants to say something, anything, but his face falls numb, stuck on his own thoughts.
Mikey shouts something over his shoulder. Suddenly, there's something wet and miserable that might've once been a blanket thrown over his shoulders.
“Fearless” Raph says, now in his line of sight. “She's not there, she's gonna be alright.”
“You don't know that,” Leo whispers.
He doesn't think Raph hears him over the wind. He's squinting at the harsh rain, leading Leo back to the house.
He supposes he'll have to trust Raph on his one.
Leo's cold.
He's cold, he's in pain, he's a useless son, he's a bad leader, he's a bluejay and he's so very afraid.
***
In the morning, the sky is clear.
He wakes up on the touch, feeling every muscle and joint in his body simmer like a burned-out cigarette.
Raph sits by the couch and doesn't say anything for a long while. Until he finally does:
“Do you want to see her?”
Raph takes him by the arm, which makes Leo feel like crying for a whole number of reasons.
But they don't get to leave before Mikey runs into them in the hallway, and subsequently – puts the entire house back on their feet.
April hands him tea in a pink thermos, before she even thinks to brush out her hair, and he takes it without a word, but a lot sitting on the edge of his tongue.
He never brought anyone else with him, and he realizes there's only one chair a little too late.
Raph doesn't seem to mind.
He crosses his legs on the ground, picking at his nails with his sai.
They sit and wait for hours.
This part of the forest doesn't seem all that changed, besides a few branches in places where they shouldn't be.
But it's unusually quiet, and Leo doesn't think to drink any of his tea before it grows cold.
Raph puts a hand on his good knee, opens his mouth, but doesn't say anything.
There are things Raph wants to say, want to ask – Leo knows. Maybe he'll let him, eventually.
But now, he feels like his lungs have run dry. He feels like he's been holding his breath for years.
“I'm sorry I didn't take you here before,” he says.
It means a lot of different things.
Raph turns to look at him, and with that – there's a soft whistle.
Clunk lands on her branch, her wings shiny and vibrantly blue from the rain.
She ruffles her feathers.
Her eyes fall to Leo's chair, dark and full of sun. She tilts her head, and it's almost like a nod.
Leo breathes.
***
Donnie does get the camera working, eventually.
Not that any of them had any doubts about it, not really.
He lays it on the dinner table, folding his arms over his chest.
“There,” he says.
April's face lights up, and he just shrugs, like it was nothing.
Mikey is the one to pick it up first, turning it over in his hands.
“What do we wanna do first?” He asks.
He holds up the camera backwards, like his own selfie is the most logical answer. But then he hesitates, and his face turns into something a little more thoughtful but not unkind.
He turns back to Leo and hands him the camera.
“You pick,” he says.
Leo smiles.
And he already knows the answer.

Hiiii :3
do you have any jojo headcanons?? It can be for any character :]
oooh absolutely!!! I’ve never made a post about my head cannons before!!!
These are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head!! And a lot of my head cannons are like, au specific anyway hehe
Also a lot of these will be post cannon :]
-Diamond is Unbreakable-
-jotaro taught josuke and okuyasu how to do eyeliner
-tomoko listens to Britney Spears when she cleans her house
-tonio sends okuyasu “left over” (freshly cooked, made expressly for this purpose) meals a few times a week
-koichi’s mom invites Rohan over for dinner fairly often (he accepts occasionally)
-Golden Wind-
-narancia’s favorite thing to do is listen to music with his friends and just chill
-he has playlist for all of them
-he likes to sit upside down in chairs (supposedly helps him focus ((he just does it because he can)))
-nara ikes to have other people read to him because he’s better at remembering it that way (usually fugo reads to him)
-giorno isn’t super good at video games, but he gets very serious and into them regardless
-fugo and trish used to not get along very well, but now they just bicker at each other for fun
-they read crappy YA novels together!!!!
-fugo has a copy of divergent he added commentary in the margins of, and long rants at the end of the book (he stuck extra paper in)
-he did this to try and get mista to read divergent (it worked ((mista hated it)))
-that copy was passed around the whole group so it has a bunch of notes from everyone
-fugo keeps all his books in stacks and low bookshelves because he dislikes the way ceiling-high bookshelves loom over him
-fugo genuinely had it out for abbachio when he first joined Bruno’s gang, to the point that he would try and get him in trouble with bruno for no reason
-abbachio lets Trish do his makeup sometimes
-abbachio will sleep in all day, and if he’s ever up early it’s because he never went to bed at all
-Stone ocean-
-weather and anasui will usually try and get extra breakfast (or save some of theirs) to give to emporio
-emporio likes FNAF
-he makes his friends play horror games with him (jolyne and anasui mostly, because jolyne is good at them, and anasui screams like a little girl)
-Steel Ball Run-
-diego is effected by cold and heat more since he developed his stand
-he occasionally gets the extreme urge to chew on something (or more specifically to eat a rock), however save the times he is fully in his dinosaur form or close to it, his teeth aren’t strong enough to eat them :[
-which is why his gloves have many pinprick holes in them from where he chews on the extra fabric around his fingers
-diego is a total nerd about anything animal related and will happily info dump at any opportunity, but somehow still be prissy about it
-gyro is consistently baffled by at least half of the phrases that Johnny says, because he doesn’t know what they mean
-gyro saws some serious logs in his sleep (he snores very loudly)
-he has a journal he’s really secretive about
-one time Johnny read the journal and it was just dumb joke ideas and a really weird bucket list
