Wei Wuxian: See? 100% guarantie of success! Nobody will take the offer and if they do, I just say it wasn't good enough! Win-win for me!

Meanwhile, at the big sects:

At Yunmeng jiang: the message was ripped apart by Jiang Cheng because he knows Wei Wuxian 's brand of stupid and isn't going to fall for it. Also, not willing to send someone to Yilling, like, think of their reputation!

At Qinghe Nie: the message was also ripped apart by Nie Mingju because he thinks Wei Wuxian is mocking them by calling out their righteousness. They're not sending anyone either, but Nie Huaisang 's brain is going "??.. !"

At Lanling Jing: there's a huge debate about which prostitute to send him, how much they'll have to pay said prostitute to keep the Yilling Laozu content and get their hand on the Yin Tiger Tally without sacrificing too much on their side. Everyone is shooting everyone in the foot. Nothing concrete is done.

At Gusu Lan: the message was ripped apart and everyone is shaking their heads at the shamelessness of the Yilling Laozu, they're too "above" to even consider sending anyone. Lan Qiren, knowing Wei Wuxian 's brand of stupid (same as his mother, hmpf!) is nearly ripping his beard off from how mocking the boy is! Lan Xichen is sighing at yet another proof Wei Wuxian has fallen because of his cultivation. He goes to tell his brother not to do anything rash but Lan Wangji is already gone. Oops.

A month later, Lan Wangji comes back with a gaggle of old people and a child. And the Yilling Laozu, dragging his feet and trying to escape. Lan Wangji says "excuse me." at the sentries before walking to the sides in the forest for.. about 45 minutes? and when he comes back, Wei Wuxian is disheveled and loopy. He looks like he's been mauled by a fierce beast. The rest of the Wen group look exhausted and used to it, wishing they could be set somewhere so they don't have to endure their Yilling Laozu being ravished (enthusiastically) by Hanguang-jun four times a day. Wen Yuan is just happy Wei-gege and Rich-gege made up.

Ancient Sage! Wei Wuxian

Basic idea

Wei Wuxian somehow ends up time traveling all the way back to the founding of Hyrule via the self destruction of the Seal and gets found by Sonia and Rauru, whether it’s at the same time as Zelda is honestly up in the air. But Jianghu (country where MDZS takes place) and Hyrule exist in the same world and the events of the siege and the upheaval would take place around the same time time, but whether WWX gets flung back further than Zelda is the question.

Anyway, apparently WWX has a special affinity with the Earth and it’s amplified by his secret stone (which is given to him druring the sage ceremony, he gets the Bunny/rabbit/hare mask for his outfit).

But he also has his lesser secondary affinity with spirits which he often goes to Mineru for advice with, by proxy he’s great friends with her. Mineru can literally astral project and possess things, WWX’s never done that, therefore she’s more skilled than him but he’s no joke either. (WWX’s main ability is still earth but If Zelda can dual wield abilities, so can WWX.)

(Honestly I wanted to make his special power purely death related, but then that’s too close to Mineru for my liking, so the idea for earth came from him being able to grow plants and vegetables in the burial mounds. Plus the ground is where dead things are put to rest right? The cycle of life as Mufasa said where we become grass when we die and animals eat the grass.)

And Wei Wuxian is a human that’s very spiritually inclined, (unlike most) which is why he can use these special powers and abilities in the first place. His mother or father might have had “genes” for them, but they couldn’t use them.

So what happens is that eventually he wants to help zelda fight Ganondorf in her own time and he already knows that her time is essentially around his own, so the whole ancient story plays out and the fun question is whether WWX tries to find some way to get to the future by becoming a dragon, doing like mineru and possessing an object, cultivating to immortality, or something else.

I might write this into a fic, i’ve got a basic story line already and timeline.

Xiantober Day 1 - Dadxian

Wei Wuxian can't cook like his husband but there is one thing he can do.

He knows how to make the perfect lunch box for his sons, complete with bunny apple slices and hard boiled eggs with cut up carrot sticks to make them look like chickens.

It started on A-Yuan’s first day of school, before they adopted A-Yu. Lan Zhan was carefully getting their lunches together as Wei Wuxian, too excited and nervous to sleep, watched.

Lan Zhan was about to add plain boring healthy apple slices to the container when Wei Wuxian remembered how Yanli-jie used to trick him into eating fruits and vegetables by making them into cute little animals. Idly grabbing a paring knife, he carefully makes strategic slices to make the apples look like little bunnies! A-Yuan's favorite.

He holds one out for Lan Zhan to inspect, delighting in the way his husband's ears turn pink and his mouth opens just a tiny bit in awe.

Wei Wuxian grins, leaning over to give his adorable husband a kiss, and pulls the rest of the apples over to make a bunny family.

When A-Yuan comes home after his first day of school (when did his little raddish get so big!!!), he leaps into Wei Wuxian's waiting arms, giggling as his A-Die spins him around and around. He tells him all about how he made so many friends with his bunnies!!!

Wei Wuxian starts scouring the internet for ideas, happy a part of him can join his son at school even if he can't

... not to be That Person, but what if Wen Ning knew the Wen sect's fire techniques?

With [确山]打铁花 (da2tie3hua1; [Queshan] struck iron fireworks), a rain of fire is created by striking molten iron into a willow branch pergola using two willow sticks (See my post about this here).

Sparks are created with 火壶 (huo3hu2) by placing burning charcoal into wire mesh onto the two sides of a bar and shaking it.

Regarding Lan Wangji breaking the rules and bringing alcohol to Wei Wuxian.

This isn't new! He already did it in Arc 1.

In fact, ever since the moment he brought him into the Cloud Recesses, he started bringing him Emperor's Smile from Caiyi, because he wants to make Wei Wuxian as happy and content as much as he can considering all the limitations him and Wei Wuxian had been warned about by the cultivation world.

(Wei Wuxian can't go outside, can't write, can't draw, can't use powers or arts of any kind to anything, can'd have access to books)

We already saw how Lan Wangji broke some of those (like taking him out and bringing him alcohol) and soon we'll see some more hehe~ Just like in the cave where he injured 33 elders, the rules are second to keeping Wei Wuxian well. Same with the pact he made with the cultivation world. He's cautious, but he never meant to imprison Wei Wuxian, he meant to save him and keep him alive and feeling guilty as it is for always rejecting him and not standing by his side as much as he could, he puts Wei Wuxian's well being as a first priority, relying on his high reputation to guard him (but at the same time risking it too).

Wei Wuxian is aware of all that Lan Wangji is doing for him and how it goes against the CR rules and against the pact. Every now and then he mentions it to poke him, sometimes in a passive aggressive way (like, "how come you punished me back then and got mad at me when you do it yourself??") and sometimes really just being surprised at the change Hanguang Jun made.

(Also at this part from Arc 2, PLEASE DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE BUNNIES PART, SCRATCH THAT, HE DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT THEM LMAO SORRY, I MISSED THAT DETAIL)

Anyways, yeah, Lan Wangji always keeps Emperor's Smile for Wei Wuxian :D

At the moment of this part, LWJ is on one end very happy to see the progress Wei Wuxian suddenly made at wanting him to stay, but at the same time he's so tired and hurting from his scars that you can see in his entire body language and manner of speech that he's really out of patience he now normally keeps for Wei Wuxian, and kinda really wants to return to the Jingshi.

REALLY THE TIMING OF YOU DECIDING TO GET CLOSER SUCKS, WEI WUXIAN

Really, look how Wei Wuxian is literally allowing himself to sit in front of him now as opposed to arc 1, acting on flirty and HINTING HARD

And Lan Wangji?? SUPPRESSING ALL THE GAY FEELS CAUSE WHAT CHOICE DOES HE HAVE AT THIS POINT WITH HIS DAMN LOW SPIRITUAL ENERGY AND SCARS HE CAN'T LET WEI WUXIAN KNOW ABOUT?? TT_TT
