Funny thing about DickBabs and BatCat despite being such different ships (whose only similarity I see it's that I like them both):

I can't go on their tag without seeing annoying haters who are just crying because their fav ships aren't "canon" anymore.

We need to bring fandom rules back because it's NOT possible that I follow such different ships and yet both tags are filled with hatred of crying babies who apparently don't know how to write fanfiction!

"My Bruce ship is about devotion and Bruce and Selina are just lust" why don't you go and watch those three episodes of BTAS and learn how to draw!? I swear it's literally not that hard. I'm a multi shipper AND crack shipper! Some people on here are just bitter and won't actually create anything for their supposedly fav ships because in reality they are just haters who want to bully others.

It just makes me so mad. I dislike so many ships yet I don't go around hating on them to prop up my favs. Even now I won't tag the characters or ship whose fandom is insufferable, because it's not like that character has somehow become alive and was being annoying. This is about real people with no fandom manners who are obsessed with controlling what people like.

My point here: There's nothing more pathetic than posting ship hate. Learn to write or draw and add to your ship if you like them so much. And if you are this annoying and arrogant, then don't cry when people pull out the receipts on you. 🤷

(Obligatory clarification that this isn't ship hate!!! And if you like one of the ships I like yet behave horrible, post hate or bully, I don't like you either! This isn't about ships per se, it's about fandom manners and respecting spaces!)

It's Done!

Three months of work from start to finish! All so I could finally present to the world:

So, I started this project in early August, mostly as something I could do during downtime of a then upcoming trip.

I had seen some absolutely amazing art pieces by @royalnaym which kinda gave me the idea that minecraft rendered in pixel art has a pretty interesting while still very recognizable look. At the same time I came across @groupcritpowerdynamics 's speedrun pastel pieces and those really inspired me to try depicting my favourite game in one of my favourite mediums!

In the middle of August 6th, while in the middle of packing for my trip to the UK, I decided I wanted to do this and I wanted to have it to work on during the trip, so I loaded up minecraft and went looking for a screenshot worthy of immortalization. Unfortunately I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for so I made a brand new world and started looking around for the right vibes.

I knew I wanted a lone tree, and that if I ended up including the hot bar I wanted some hearts and food missing, so after running around for a few minutes I decided I would just do it myself and planted a sapling to serve as my centrepiece.

I gotta say I think the resemblance is striking!

And now as promised, the progress gif: mind the slight flashing, I did take these in all manner of different places including but not limited to: a plane, a handful of buses, and a small inn on the shores of England (not in that order).

It's pretty neat to me that you can see how different tones of lighting affect the perceived colour of the thread, I definitely noticed it more on this piece verses other larger stitch projects.

I think the two most obvious foils for Ludinus Da'leth across all of Critical Role are Essek and Keyleth, which is both fascinating given how different those two characters are from each other (Essek being a foil in terms of isolation, single-mindedness, harm in the name of ambition, knowledge, and other such wizard themes; Keyleth being a foil in terms of people who have lost something at a young age to the gods and bear resentment for it, political leadership, belief that the world belongs to mortalkind, and longevity) but also it's extremely funny that they both are the partners of Liam's character.

saikis quiet, boring self isnt completely not him. its still him, just a different side of him than you might be used to as a viewer. you guys have to understand that although, yes, he is masking and putting up a front, that doesnt mean EVERY part of him that people see is fake 😭 its the same with teruhashi, she doesnt have a single tangible "true" self entirely on the inside and a single tangible "fake" self entirely on the outside, its NOT completely black and white! PEOPLE arent completely black and white!

youre forgetting that me saying those guys (the kokomins and all those gross ew men) dont love her because they dont know and see her was accompanied by a picture of them literally asking her to continue validating them immediately after she woke up from passing out 😭 they quite literally dont love or care about her, not even about her image, they just like the idea of her image and want her to make them feel good. the whole "nobody sees and knows and loves her" doesnt apply in the same way to yumehara and their other friends, they may not truly see her with the same depth that saiki does but that doesnt mean their care for her is fake, because they DONT care more about her image than just her and being in her company even if they do still see the parts of her that ARE fake.

seeing so much hype about how ferrari’s car is going to be a rocket ship this year and all I can think of is how last year they tried to introduce a new floor and it was utter shit but they decided to stick with it through the fps anyway despite carlos’ insistence to stick to the old floor, only to revert to the old floor like carlos said for the race because of course he was right.

then I think of how they had carlos test a new floor again knowing full well he wouldn’t be there next year to experience the new upgrades, but made him do it anyway because that’s how valuable his input is to the development of the car.

and then I think of how fred vasseur said they’re completely changing everything about the car for next year when in reality they couldn’t manage one floor upgrade, couldn’t even make the decision to revert to the older, better floor without carlos’ insistence, and had him test it again during his final race. these people are building a whole new car ? lmfao good luck.
