how the gang sneezes (don’t ask me why)

hiccup- HUGE sneezes. nearly knocks this kid over

fishlegs- big but quiet sneezes

astrid- small but loud sneezes. she sounds like she’s coughing. she’s very embarrassed of it :c

snotlout- rather quiet sneezes naturally, but he taught himself to make it louder cause he thought it was “manly”

ruffnut- silent sneezing. you can never tell if she’s sneezing or just twitching

tuffnut- the highest pitched kitten sneezes ever. everyone makes fun of it (rightfully so)

Some aro HTTYD headcannons

Both hiccup and Astrid are arospec and have never really experienced romantic attraction for anyone but each other… even then it took years for it to form. Even when dating they preferred to refer to each other as best friend or right hand or “the person I rely on” over partner or betrothed

Stoick became aroace after loosing valka. He just can’t feel romantic or sexual attraction for anyone anymore. When he sees valka again he does love her and it’s still like before but it’s a seperate thing from what he was before if that makes sense

Snotlout is aromantic and gay and doesn’t understand why he thinks this of men but nothing of women so he assumes that’s just what everyone feels

Ruff is aro. Fuck romo all she wants is- you get it

The funniest recurring theme I’ve noticed while watching Race to the Edge was the other dragon riders (and even the dragons themselves) running into Hiccup’s hut to wake him up late at night when they’re in trouble.

Meatlug came to him when Fishlegs was trapped in his “kingdom”, Stormfly also did when Astrid was really sick, and poor Hiccup wakes up terrified every time. 😆

like cause the current ideas i currently have are Stoick as Baker, Valka as Baker’s Wife, Hiccup as Jack (with Toothless as Milky White?), Astrid as Little Red, Snotlout as Cinderella, Ruffnut as Rapunzel (long hair yk?), Tuffnut or Eret as Cinderella’s Prince (But I think Tuff fits that character a bit more), Fishlegs as Rapunzel’s Prince, Viggo as The Witch and thats really all i have right now…

but it gets a bit confusing with Stoick and Valka not being Hiccup’s parents? or maybe Hiccup was taken by the witch and given to someone else? and they thought he was a miscarriage but? IDK JUST YEAH

its all very confusing and not at all fleshed out currently and i may never touch this idea ever again, and im also going off of the movie musical because i havent seen the actual one in years so…

Httyd/RttE personal headcannon:

I personally think that Hiccup & Snotlout are cousins (like in the books) and also that Dagur, Heather and Hiccup are also related.

I once said that I thought Hiccup & Snotlout would be cousins through their dad's like in the books but changed my mind like 3 days ago lol.

So updated headcannon is I think that Snotlout's mom is Stoick's sister.

As for the Berserker siblings and Hiccup I think that Oswald the Agreeable is Valka's brother. Thus making Dagur, Heather and Hiccup cousins and strengthening the alliance between Berk and Berserker Island. (And explaining why hiccup has a dramatic crazy side lol)

Idk this is just something I think makes sense. Please don't come after me lol.

He knew of the horrific habits Hiccup possessed, the heart wrenching coping mechanisms he utilised- he knew. He was so painfully aware of them. He couldn’t look at Hiccup without feeling sad, because all Hiccup knew was sad.

Aka- Snotlout can no longer handle knowing of Hiccup's self destructive behaviours, and has to tell the only person who can help him.

It happened spontaneously, but I love AU. So… Avatar Hiccup. Hiccup considered himself an ordinary person before meeting Toothless. (Dragons can be equated to spirits, i mean relationships between people and them). Then he discovered his talent as an airbender and Toothless became his teacher. Later, other talents were discovered, which made it clear that Hiccup was an avatar.

Astrid became his waterbender teacher. Snotlout was an adept of firebender, but he sincerely did not understand how to teach, because he himself used magic on a subconscious level. Fishlegs is an earthbender, but he did not go beyond the amateur level and could not become a teacher. The twins are always on their own wave. Ruffnut is a master in airbending and can perform techniques with clouds of gas, while Tuffnut is not a master, but is ready to set fire to the gas with his sparks at any moment. The twins always come in a set.

Brothers Grimborn! Lord of Fire Viggo. The aesthetics of blue flame and lightning were created for him. So I couldn't resist. The hottest flame and deadly techniques of lightningbending made him the most terrible opponent for the young avatar, but in the future, he will become the teacher of fire magic for Hiccup. I endowed Riker with explosion magic, as for me, it suits him perfectly. An explosive mixture of rage and bloodlust.

Berserkers! Remembering Viggo's words about how the berserkers in ancient times lured the Skrills with metal, I thought about a tribe practicing metalbending. Dagur discovered his talent for earth magic much later, including metal. I like to think that Dagur could be a threat to the avatar even as an ordinary person, relying on his ingenuity and physical strength. Heather is a master of earth and metal magic, she could well become Hiccup's teacher in this matter.
