Not sure if this is accepted as backbending pose but trust me my back bended and first time on my yogic journey there wasn't any pain . . इन्द्रियस्येन्द्रियस्यार्थे रागद्वेषौ व्यवस्थितौ | तयोर्न वशमागच्छेत्तौ ह्यस्य परिपन्थिनौ || 3.34|| . Our senses will naturally run toward the sense objects and their mutual interaction creates sensations of pleasure and pain. For example, the taste buds experience joy in contact with delicious foods and distress in contact with bitter foods. The mind repeatedly contemplates the sensations of pleasure and pain which it associates with these objects. Thoughts of pleasure in the sense objects create attachment while thoughts of pain create aversion. We must try not to succumb to feelings of attachment nor aversion. In the discharge of our worldly duty, we will have to encounter all kinds of likeable and unlikeable situations. We must practice neither to yearn for the likeable situations, nor to avoid the unlikeable situations. When we stop being slaves of both the likes and dislikes of the mind and senses, we will overcome our lower nature. MINDEN NAPRA EGY ÁSZANA Adho mukha svanászana - lefelé néző kutyatartás + kézenállás előkészítő gyakorlat Ez a kép egy páros jóga órán készült, lefelenéző kutyával kombinált kezenállás előkeszítő gyakorlat, utóbbit ugyanígy a falnál is lehet végezni. Csináltunk itt madarat is, amikor a 'base' a földön fekszik, lábai a 'flyer' medencéjenél vannak, és az utóbbi kinyújtva kezét-lábát, csak repül. Ennél azonban nem volt biztos az egyensúly, és nem tudtam elengedni a párom kezét. Nagyon fontos itt az egymásra figyelés, és az együttműködés. Ha a pároddal/férjeddel/feleségeddel mész, akkor az intimitás egy új formája fedezhető fel. Itt úgy értek egymáshoz a gyakorlás közben, ami a hétköznapokra nem jellemző. Uno degli esercizi fondamentali quando si parla di allenamento a corpo libero non può non essere la verticale in appoggio sulle mani. La verticale, chiamata anche hand-stand non rappresenta semplicemente un esercizio fine a se stesso, ma rappresenta un elemento di base, fondamentale e di transizione. Day 16 of #effectivehandstands 🤸♀️I can't hold a tuck handstand soooo... did a couple donkey kicks. This was actually a lot of fun without a wall to stop you. When I really pressed down into the mat and engage my core I could really feel alignment and feel the hang time even if it was really quick. ⏯ A series of wrist mobility drills, hand prep, plus shoulder and arm movements. 1️⃣ “Magnetic Wrists” I learned from @mikefitch.af at the Animal Flow training weekend. A meditative way to start connecting with the hands. 2️⃣ Shoulder circles. Scapula CAR (controlled articular rotation). A nice way to oil up the shoulder blades! This and the following ones are from FRC. 3️⃣ Wrist rotation. Block forearm from turning. Express slow, smooth, controlled articulation of wrist joint. This one never gets old, and always remains tough to do. 4️⃣ Fist/ Wrist circles. @jessica teaches this one a lot in her classes. and I’ve been hooked since day one. 5️⃣ Full arm ROM (range of motion) with axial rotation at the shoulder joint. As the arm makes the arch resist chest turning or ribs lifting. This one is like a daily vitamin and a game changer for my asana practice. 6️⃣ Hand lifts and wrists circles on the grounds. 🌍 🇮🇳 . . What excuse do I have, not to be kind. I see none, so even if the body for now through heart opener poses don't exactly show if my heart is open, I actually careless. Compassion I see as the highest form of love as I am able to give. I am full of compassion towards other above just been thankful because the other accepted it, thankful that the other didn't reject me. The highest form of energy is compassion. The word ′compassion′ is beautiful: half of it is ′passion′ - somehow passion has become so refined that it is no more like passion. It has become compassion. All I see myself is like the flower, a natural giver. As like the flower I am full of fragrance - so what to do? If I keep the fragrant energy to myself I feel very, very tense, in deep anguish. The greatest anguish in life is when we cannot express, when we cannot communicate, when we cannot share. Even if my heart openers are not very deep yet, my heart is full compassion and I am the richest - I see myself at the top of the world. I have no confinement, no limitation. I simply give and will go on this way. We used to believe that stretching or strengthening a muscle will make us better yoga practitioners because it would mean that we were stronger and more flexible. In the short term, stretching and strengthening enable yoga enthusiasts to get their bodies into yoga poses but after a few years, they hit a plateau and find that stretching and strengthening no longer enables them to go further in asana practice. Frustrated practitioners then increase their efforts in stretching and strengthening and end up creating instability, sustain injuries from over-training and over-stretching, and either end up practicing painfully with injuries, or give up on the practice altogether. A tight muscle is a muscle which does not fully contract or fully relax. It is a muscle that the motor cortex does not have conscious control over, a condition which Thomas Hanna called "Sensory Motor Amnesia". Releasing it, stretching it or strengthening it will not resolve the issue. The problem is a software issue in your brain not a hardware issue in your tissue. We need practices that enable connectivity between the Muscle and The Central nervous system. This workshop series enables yoga practitioners to come to yoga from the perspective of functional flexibility and mindful mobility and enables us to explore the familiar through new eyes.
