Mini-review:

Look, I'm not gonna lie. I started this drama for a very superficial reason: Kim Yoo Jung and Song Kang are one of the most gorgeous couples I've ever seen. And tbh, that's one of the things that kept me watching until the end. The first half was pretty fun, thanks to their will-they-won't-they dynamic and some really funny supporting characters and recurring gags. Unfortunately, it began to drag around the middle part, and then it got more and more boring with each passing episode. By the time the final episode came out, I no longer cared about the plot, the characters or anything else (although the ending itself was quite nice). With all that in mind, I can't help but think My Demon would have worked much better as a movie.

I'm on episode 10.5 of Nothing Uncovered. I like such slow and chill police/thriller dramas and really enjoying it so far.

I really really hate Yoo Yun Young, her scenes makes me so annoyed. Moo Surin is getting on my nerves too. And when the two are together I just feel like changing the channel.

Bazı diziler vardır, konusu sizi sararken bir yandan da içinizi şişirebilir. Weak Hero: Class 1 tam olarak bu tanıma uyan bir yapım. Dizi, zorbalığın çeteciliğe evrildiği bir ortamda, dik durmaya çalışan bir gencin hikayesini etkileyici bir şekilde anlatıyor. Konusu itibariyle izlerken boğuluyor gibi hissettiren ve yoğun hisler yaratabilen bu yapım, kurgusuyla sizi sonuna kadar ekrana kitlemeyi başarıyor.

Dizinin merkezinde Yeon Shi-Eun (Park Ji-Hoon) var. Shi-Eun, fiziksel olarak zayıf ama zekası ve stratejik düşünme yeteneğiyle sınıfında zorbalıkla savaşan bir öğrenci. Fiziksel güce değil, akıl oyunlarına dayanan mücadelesiyle, klasik kahraman tiplerinden farklı bir profil çiziyor. Onun bu cesareti ve zekâsı, hikayeyi benzersiz kılan en önemli faktörlerden biri.

Shi-Eun'un yanında ise onun sadık dostları Ahn Soo-Ho (Choi Hyun-Wook) ve Oh Beom-Seok (Hong Kyung) var. Soo-Ho, fiziksel gücü ve doğruluğa olan bağlılığıyla Shi-Eun'un yanında dimdik duran bir karakter. Choi Hyun-Wook, bu rolde gösterdiği çıkışla izleyicilerin büyük beğenisini kazandı. Onu izlerken Park Seo-Jun'un havasını görmek mümkün; hem mimikleri hem de oyunculuk yetenekleri bu benzerliği destekliyor. Benim için Seo-jun’un yeri ayrı onu da belirteyim. Ona bu kadar benzer bir karakter izlemekten çok keyif aldım. Beom-Seok ise hikayenin başka bir katmanını oluşturan, karşıt duygular uyandıran bir karakter. Hong Kyung'un performansı, Beom-Seok'un iç dönüşümünü çarpıcı bir şekilde yansıtıyor.

Dizinin genel atmosferi, zorbalığın nasıl çözülmesi gereken bir sorun olduğunu vurgularken, bir yandan da bu sorunun sistematik boyutuna ışık tutuyor. Shi-Eun’un zorbalığa boyun eymemesi ve kendine has yöntemleriyle bu düzeni sorgulaması, hikayeyi bir başka seviyeye taşıyor. Bu noktada dizinin senaryosunun parçalarını çok iyi birleştirdiğini ve izleyiciyi zorlayacak sahnelerle etkili bir atmosfer yarattığını belirtmeden geçemeyeceğim.

Oyunculuklara gelince, Park Ji-Hoon ve Choi Hyun-Wook, yeni neslin parlayan yıldızları olarak dikkat çekiyor. Park Ji-Hoon, Shi-Eun karakterinin sakin ama derinlerindeki hırsı ve kararlılığı çok iyi yansıtıyor. Choi Hyun-Wook ise Soo-Ho karakterinde doğal ve etkileyici bir performans sergiliyor; onun sahnelerinde izleyici, kendini hikayenin tam merkezinde hissediyor.

Çekim açıları, renk paleti ve genel prodüksiyon kalitesi, dizinin dramatik yapısına çok iyi hizmet ediyor. Karakterlerin duygu durumları ve çatışmalari, sahne tasarımlarıyla desteklenmiş ve her detay ince düşünülmüş. Dizide yer alan kavga sahneleri, koreografi ve kamera hareketleriyle hem gerilimli hem de etkileyici bir hale getirilmiş.

Zorbalık, izlemesi her zaman ağır bir konu olmuştur ve Weak Hero: Class 1 bu konuyu cesurca ele alıyor diyebilirim, zira oldukça zorlandığım bölümler oldu. Dizinin çeteciliğe evrilen zorbalık hikayesi ve bu düzeni sorgulayan başrolü ile sıradanın ötesine geçtiğini söylemek mümkün. Kasvetli yapısı, karanlık atmosferi ve yoğun hikayesiyle belki herkese hitap etmeyebilir, ama bu tarz bir dizi arayanlar için kesinlikle izlenmesi gereken bir yapım.

Sonuç olarak, Weak Hero: Class 1 benim için kaliteli bir deneyim oldu. Yeni sezonu heyecanla bekliyorum ve bu kalitedeki bir yapımı izlemek, kore dizilerinin ulaştığı seviyeyi bir kez daha gösterdi. Eğer siz de zorbalık temalı bir drama arıyorsanız ve kaliteli oyunculuklar izlemek istiyorsanız, bu diziyi mutlaka listenize ekleyin!

Long. 150 episodes long, was a daily drama so it was stretched out……Also the drama is a full on makjong type meaning it’s absolutely crazy off the wall, highly melodramatic. For me it was highly addicting even though half of the characters were bat shit crazy. It’s definitely more watchable if you skim (fast forward) through a lot of the episodes. Each one was like 28 min long, I made it like 15 min long. Storyline has a lot of a rinse and repeat cycle. It’s fun if you like these type of dramas but it definitely won’t be for everyone. Chemistry is lovely especially with the main leads. On a fun tidbit, in real life they got married and just had a baby together.
